It’s been almost 100 years since the Battle of Hogwarts and the Heroes of it’s time moved on. Generations of their families still linger, quietly, in the newly hallowed halls but a new group of students now reside there. And they cause quite a bit of mischief.

With the appointment of a new Minister for Magic and a need for change in the Wizarding world, Figgins has been fired and replaced–leaving all of Hogwarts staff on edge. With an exchange of power comes change that can only be fathomed. Will jobs be safe? Will requirements toughen? Are the Muggles and impure of blood still safe?

New leadership, new powers that be. What are we in for, now?

LIMA, OHIO: A TOWN DIVIDED

It’s 2016, a time when discrimination is frowned upon, and segregation is meant to be a thing of the past, yet Lima, Ohio stands out among the masses and remains divided. Not a single Lima native can remember a time before this; a time before the Greasers – the poor, lower class families – of the South were pitted against the Socials – the wealthier, high-class families – of the North. An unfortunate “tradition” passed down throughout generations, with no amount of change ever proving capable of ridding the town of its divide. Bouts of violence and bigotry have become part of the norm when both sides cross paths.

However, Mayor Smythe – whose loyalty lies with the Socials – intends to try to make the city a “safer, more respectable place.” But at what cost? His views and propositions are against all that is the Greasers. If the Greasers don’t stand their ground and stick up for what they believe, their numbers are sure to begin dwindling, the tight-knit family that they had created with one another bound to be torn apart.

But, now, the tension between the Greasers and Socials is higher than ever, especially among their youth. Interacting with one another on a daily basis has proved to only heighten the animosity. Both sides are only attempting to survive and fight for their own beliefs, no matter how violent the outcome may be.

The Match

“You know I’m never going to understand why you insist on introducing me to your undergraduate companions.” As much as Hunter rolled his eyes at the idea of being dragged to meet yet another marketing major that was just ‘dying to meet him’, he still allowed himself to be pulled along by Sebastian through the crowd of people. Despite the fact that Sebastian was pushy, arrogant, and a ridiculous know-it-all, Hunter considered him a friend even if it was just through family connections. Besides, the boy was going to be graduating college soon and there wasn’t much of a reason to deny him the small joys in life that Hunter could provide.

As he was dragged between guests and only allowed a quick hello before Sebastian was tugging at him again, Hunter finally groaned. “This better not be another one of your terrible attempts at a setup, Smythe. I warned you the last time you tried this. If you meddle with my love life again I will never attend another gala with you so long as I live, or worse so long as you live as that will be shorter should you try to set me up again.” Even his threats didn’t seem to faze the other male as still Sebastian was directing Hunter through the small gatherings of people until they were finally by the bar.

“A drink? You brought me over here for a drink? I knew you were an alcoholic Smythe, but I didn’t realize it was getting this bad.” There was a smirk on the male’s lips before Sebastian waved at him to shut up. “No, she’s just not here yet. I told her to meet us by the bar.”
