for these i’m gonna provide several answers because im not good at picking One Thing

A game that holds a special place in my heart?

the sims franchise in general and age of mythology for being pretty much my only games growing up (there were others but i mean mostly)

sims gave me my fondness for god/life simulators and genetics and AOM taught me a basic run down of mythologies

Favorite video game character?

from the get-go all the datables in monster prom, whomst i love doing voices for. also lee everett  from the walking dead popped instantly into my mind so there ya go. clementine too. connor and ralph from dbh. papyrus from undertale! (its really hard to pick a fave from undertale but yeah) there’s probs more but yeah

Favorite genre?

story based games (like telltale games)

life/god/genetics simulators (sims and niche)

i’m really into the borderlands franchise now but im not into that genre of game (shooters). the borderlands games are just really really good and i’ve actually gotten good at B2 so there’s that. had to mention b-lands

i dunno what genre binding of isaac is but i’ve put a fuckton of hours into it (342 at the moment) so i felt i should mention it

honorable mentions go to RTS because i’ve been fond of enough of them (AOM AOE, empire earth) and dating sims (huniepop, monster prom, dream daddy). i wouldn’t call them fave genres but i like ‘em plenty

Video game I’ve spent the most time on?

overall most certainly sims 2 but i don’t have the numbers on that but know that its a over the course of my life kinda deal so uhhhh yeeeah

and of just my steam games? binding of isaac. it’s my go-to and i’ve had it since 2015, much longer than any of my other games. plus, the replayability factor

Most memorable gaming moment?

okay this is a very broad question and i probs have a bagillion of these if i really think about it. but i don’t wanna hurt my head from going thru all my gaming memories so i’ll say the one that popped into my head right now

back in feburary when i was new at borderlands (and my friend katie isn’t so she was helping me out, my guide, my mentor, it’s fitting that she’s zer0 and im gaige) and we were at the early parts of the game in a snowy area, the name of which i forget, there were rakks above us and i was sort of running about, doing my best not to die. im mid sentence and suddenly a rakk dive bombs me and i screamed “FUCKING WHORE!!!!” as i flailed around in shock and fear

we’ve had a lot of great and/or memorable moments in this game (eg. our emotional collapse after fighting badassasaurus) but that comes to mind prominently. i tend to say whore a lot when im gaming but that stood out. it’s kind of a meme between us. since then rakks have been deemed Fucking Whores

Competitive or single player?

single player. it’s less stressful. that and it’s what i’ve done most of my life due to, like, not having multiplayer as an option. now when it comes to multi, i play borderlands, which is NOT competitive. and monster prom which is meant to be competitive but 99.9999% of people who play it help each other out instead

besides those pretty much everything i play is single player

Video game character I want to/have cosplayed?

i’m intending on cosplaying maya from borderlands 2 one day. it might not happen but it’s a thought i may pursue. her look is more simple than it looks. really, the yellow one sleeve top thing would be the hardest part

Shadow of Mordor I think. maybe because I love Lord of the Rings with all my heart, and when there’s extension on the lore and it gets turned into a sprawling video game I’m just so happy. people I watched play it loved it but I heard it wasn’t well-received.

so many!!! The Witcher 3 is so beautiful to look at *heart eye emoji*

AHHHHHH!!!! OMG ALL OF THEM???? the ones that I liked. honestly because Assassin’s Creed did so poorly (for damned good reason) I think video games should be turned into TV miniseries, so that nothing is left out. I liked Far Cry 4, but I wished it gave us time to delve into Ajay’s character and feelings. like his backstory is really interesting and heart-breaking, and it floors me that Ubisoft didn’t bother to give us more to learn about. I want more miniseries, not movies. butttttt if we were to get a movie from a game, then Stardew Valley. impress me.

24. Ever cried because of a video game? Which one(s)?

there are lots of sad moments in the games I play but not enough to make me cry, but it’s a combination of the background music and the atmosphere that just floors me so much I tear up. Final Fantasy X and X-2′s Macalania Forest scenery and music made me emotional, like the game’s pathos got to me. same with FFXV’s Fociaugh Hollow, Far Cry 4′s Bhadra’s Suite playing while Ajay takes in the foreign lands of Kyrat, Witcher 3 where Geralt returns to the land of Touissant…it’s the little things. great music and scenery put together is all the emotion I need.

26. How often do you play online? Co-op?

I never do. that requires interaction. I don’t want that. I get too immersed in gaming and I don’t want to explain or talk to people when I play. too distracting. you talk over the music I get infuriated.

my dad playing Tomb Raider and me getting interested in playing.
