If you're a fan of Project Zomboid, please check out the recently released game,
HumanitZ!
It would be really awesome if the game could receive more funding from game purchases. It is a meager $20, unlike most titles sitting at $60-$90.
Currently it is in Early Access, and has quite a few bugs, but the game is VERY promising and already has a large amount of content available implemented.
Currently the only con I've seen are zombie attacks, which need tuning and better hitbox correction on, as well as some car fuckery. Otherwise the bugs aren't horrific.

SANABI Review (Steam)
Tumblr media
For this SANABI Review, we play an exhilarating stylish dystopian action-platformer. Play as a legendary retired veteran and use your signature prosthetic arm to jump over cliffs and skyscrapers, zip through bullets and traps, and defeat powerful enemies.
SANABI Review Pros:
- Decent pixel art graphics. - Download size. - Steam achievements. - Full controller support. - Graphics settings - resolution, v-sync, fullscreen, and brightness slider. - Three difficulties - Easy, normal, and veteran. Fourth unlockable legend difficulty. - Five levels of aim assist strength. - You can re-rebind controls for both the keyboard and the controller buttons. - In-game cutscenes amd can be skipped. - Opening tutorial section. - Fast-paced platformer gameplay. - You have a hook that propels you around the level, you can do a boost when hooked to ramp up the speed. - When aiming with your hook the game will slow down which looks cool but also helps. - Multiple choice encounters. - Fantastic-looking locations and characters. - Big boss encounters. - It just feels really fluid and easy to play. - When hooking onto and swinging you can only use the boost once, but if you hit another surface then you can do another boost again and again. - The combat is a case of grabbing an enemy with your hook and pressing a button. - When ending combat or doing a damage reversal you can choose which way you go after. - It looks fantastic when you get the flow going. - Unlock a speed run mode. SANABI Review Cons: - Minimal graphics settings. - Annoying that you cannot remove the version number from the screen. - When you are not in platforming sections the walking is very very slow. - Stop-start gameplay. - The game gets very reflex-heavy. - At the start, you get a tutorial and then after some story, you get another load of the same tutorials. - It's a game that is exhausting to play. - Scroller parts in levels ramp it up but honestly, it makes it harder and not in a fun way. - Got stuck a few times where I would just bounce off damage-inducing platforms and enemies. - Never sure when the game has been saved or checkpointed. Humanitz: Best Zombie Survival Game Ever? Find Out Now!
Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/R6N51dv7bGM
humanitZ if you’ve ever played project zomboid this is a game you’re going to love what this game is is essentially project zomboid but fully 3D and so much better from the moment I started off the tutorial to this game I was hooked and I just could not get enough of it it is a Zombie Survival game that allowed you to survive explore build scavenge hunt craft Farm fish and a lot more so with that being said strap in and let’s talk about it
From the moment that I booted up humanitZ and started playing the game, I just couldn’t get enough of it. The tutorial itself puts you in a position where you learn everything from point to point, and everything involved in this game is absolutely amazing. I am a massive fan of zombie survival games. I have played games like State of Decay, Seven Days to Die, Dying Light, Project Zomboid, Day Z, and Days Gone. All of these games are ones I absolutely love playing. But for me, the best kind of zombie survival game is the one that allows you to go around, craft things, and do what you need to do to survive. And this is exactly what humanitZ is.
This game thrusts you into a top-down open world survival situation where you have the ability to scavenge inside buildings and find things, build things, craft things, repair vehicles, fuel them up, find a building you like, and essentially board up the windows to make it safe. You can craft your own base of operations, including having things like rain collectors for water, hunting down animals for meat, cooking food, and even farming. The game even allows you to fish, though it can be a little finicky when it comes to the fishing side of things.
This game has everything you need for a zombie survival game, and it’s still in Early Access, which is saying something. And if that’s not enough to hook you into the game, then I don’t know what’s wrong with you. Also, make sure you hit that like and subscribe button because it helps me out a lot.
The basic premise of the game is a zombie outbreak that wiped out civilization. Hordes of what they call “zeeks” essentially go around attacking people and become the apex predator. Your goal is just to survive.
This game is an isometric open world survival game where you have to do everything you can to survive and fight zombies. If you’ve played Project Zomboid and liked it, you’re going to love this game. It feels like what essentially should be the sequel to Project Zomboid. It’s an open world 3D top-down survival game, and like I said, it’s still in Early Access.
When you start the game, you can customize your character. After that, you can choose to do the tutorial or skip it. The game gives you control over various settings through a menu, allowing you to tailor the game to exactly how you want to play it. Once you’ve selected your settings, you then choose your starter spawn, which gives you different starter items.
When you spawn into a location, you start off with nothing but your clothes. You have five pockets to carry items and can carry four holdables, including two large weapons and two small weapons. You can find backpacks to carry more items. Once you collect everything in the area, you can decide to make your base there or find somewhere else.
The controls in the game are simple: WASD to move, mouse for attacking and aiming, F to pick things up, and spacebar to climb or vault over objects. You have to face the object to vault over it.
Survival is a key aspect of the game. You have to manage hunger, thirst, energy, health, and temperature. You can carry both large and small weapons, but large weapons cannot be stored in your bag. Weapons can be repaired using duct tape and gun repair kits. Axes are used to chop down trees, and hammers are used for building. You can also fish and hunt for food. The game has a skill tree for leveling up and upgrading your skills.
The game features a crafting system where you can build different things to aid in your survival. Base building allows you to create a base and reinforce nearby buildings. You can also construct campfires, cooking stoves, and chemistry stations.
Combat involves using weapons to fight zombies. There is an execute button that allows you to quickly take down zombies close to you. Looting is a crucial aspect of the game, as you can gather resources from various sources like buildings, vehicles, and the environment.
In addition to looting, you can also farm in the game. You can plant seeds, water the crops, and use fertilizer to speed up their growth.
The game features a wide variety of vehicles that can be found and repaired. You can also find and siphon fuel for the vehicles.
Overall, the gameplay in humanitZ is smooth and enjoyable. If you’re a fan of zombie survival games, this is definitely one you should give a try. I’m loving the game at the moment and can’t wait to play more, I’ve been GreenLycan, and I will see you in the next one.

HumanitZ Preview (Steam Early Access)
Tumblr media
For this HumanitZ Preview, we play a co-op, top-down, open-world survival game in a world ended by the zombie outbreak. As one of the few human survivors, try to last as long as “humanly” possible. The past can’t be changed, but you can make a difference today for the future of humanity.
HumanitZ Preview Pros:
- Decent graphics. - 19.1GB Download size. - Steam achievements. - Graphics settings - resolution, v-sync, graphics quality preset, post-processing, foliage, shadows, textures, view mode, and max fps. - Full controller support. - Two ways to play - Single-player and multiplayer. - Zombie survival gameplay. - Eleven professions for your character - unemployed, mechanic, junior biodiesel researcher, emergency medical technician, apprentice gunsmith, amateur boxing, farmer, food service worker, Sunday fisherman, car salesman, and outdoorsman. These give buffs. - Character creator - male/female, face, skin, facial hair, hairstyle, upper wear, lower wear, and footwear. You can just randomize if you wish. - Optional tutorial prompt. Blood - on/off.  Mouse settings - cursor size, color, Invert zoom, and sensitivity sliders.  Two initial modes - Single-player, and multiplayer. (scenario mode shows but it is locked) The Survival Guide is basically the game manual offering tips and all the information from the game.  Optional replayable tutorial.  Game setup settings - permadeath, clear infection on death, disable eagle eye, airdrops, weapon break, respawn loot, loot respawn time, loot rarity, airdrop every X mins, zombie difficulty, hostile human difficulty, zombie amount multiplier, zombie respawn timer, animal respawn timer, starting the season, days per season, day duration, and vital rain.  Best played with a mouse and keyboard.  You get to choose your starting spawn point and get a brief bit of Intel before deciding.  You can basically loot anything from cars to coolers to toolboxes and houses.  Crafting can be done both at a table and freely from the menu.  Rebind able controls for the keyboard.  Zoom in and out.  A torch is important for night but it does run off batteries.  Vehicles can be driven if you manage to fix them first.  Space is king for you need to find backpacks etc so you can carry more.  Encumbered is in the game and every item has a weight tied to it.  Movement is done with the WASD keys and the mouse is for aiming.  You can stomp and kick down zombies.  All the meters are at play like food, hunger, health, etc.  Drag and drop inventory system but if you have space then you can auto-pick up.  Uses different weather types.  The map fills in as you explore but you do get a marker to show an objective.  Excellent sound effects and noises.  Save when you want.  Auto saves regularly.  You can pause in a single-player.  Play and do what you want.  A fantastic atmosphere.  Melee and ranged weapons.  Cars can trigger alarms that bring zombies in.  Earn exp and level up to get skill points to put into the three skill trees - survival, combat, and world.  When you eat or drink you can still move albeit at a much slower pace.  Multiplayer has a server browser and the ability to make a private room with a password.  Find items to make life easier like a compass to help the map Coordinates.  On the map, you can place your own markers.  Isometric view.  Make fires to cook food and purify water.  Toxic gas can hinder you unless you find a gas mask.  Has strong vibes of State of Decay but without a home base and a lot slower. HumanitZ Preview Cons: - When in big-picture mode, even if you don't touch the settings the screen size changes and never goes back. Using a controller is bad as all the prompts are not clear, the game would still require mouse input and the prompts were not shown for the controller buttons.  Not the best loading times.  Never clear what cars can be driven.  You have to be pinpoint and precise to interact with anything.  Sucks that you can repair certain cars but you cannot strip other cars and all car pieces are just random loot drops.  So much to take in.  The controls however you cut it are clunky and not that smooth.  Constantly having inventory issues with so little space.  All the writing is so small from items to the menus.  The music that is always playing is fine but very one note.  Hard to see at times not just at night but also in houses.  Takes a long while to get going from the slow speed to the constant resource management.  Related Post: Charrua Soccer Pro Edition Review (Steam) HumanitZ: Official website.
