FRESH DRAWING GUIDE:
Hello everybody, I've come to give you all this absurd reference guide for drawing Fresh. yep. I decided to spend hours slapping this together.
If I got anything wrong or should add anything PLEEEASE lemme know! All ideas welcome!
If you want to see my "research" on this character, let me know in the replies, because there's so much to talk about with him and I'd love to do a character analysis or two, I couldn't put much about his personality or source posts in this because it's just a drawing guide!
Link to all the full images
Transcript and close-ups of the text on the image: (May be in a strange order)
Fresh was created by @loverofpiggies (CQ)
Main Outfit:
YOLO sunglasses
Backwards propeller cap
Pink Polo shirt
Crayola Jacket
Gold Tooth
SWAG fannypack
Convertible Zip-off pants
White Heelie shoes
Pink socks
He has thick eyebrows to emote! (The eyebrows are usually depicted with black hair but one human design has eyebrows that match the pink hair color!)
The bag says SWAG on it
His glasses say YOLO by default, but the letters can magically change mid-scene...
this design for Fresh is Tall, we dunno how tall but taller than CQ's Sans characters (or just Geno since he's literally sans undertale with some added steps). But his height is just his host's height sooo it can vary.
those (cyan and yellow) shoe details are on the innerside but not outerside
HE HAS HEELIES!
Pink glove cuffs!
his skateboard is inconsistent dont worry about it
Glasses Off:
The host's soul shows up in their left eyesocket
- The soul tends to look unstable (cracks & a sortve stroboscopic effect.. i couldn't think of a better word.) but not in some cases...
It doesn't have to be a white upside-down heart, that's just a reference to an undertale monster soul.
He has a purple substance full of little RADs that emanate from his eyesockets (when his sunglasses are off)
"The soul in Fresh's eyes CAN be cracked. That soul isn't his. it belongs to his host. And.... after a while.... things go bad for the host, and he needs a new one." -CQ
(example of soul with unstable effect with no cracks) (example of soul with cracks but lacking the effect)
The purple aura(?) can glow and emanate from the eyes when his glasses are on too
i miss this one design specifically. the colors and the SK8 OR B SK8 shirt were peak
I miss the SWAG necklace...
Fresh leaves a rainbow cloud of smoke when he "poofs". Either teleporting him and his host body somewhere or leaving his host behind.
Human Designs:
Fresh can possess humans too.
They all look physically different because they're different people that he's possessing.
Fresh can possess pretty much any body, but I thought I'd show the varied examples of humans anyway
Don't forget the orange jacket flaps! or his hat propeller!
I dunno what's up with the multicolor tongue thing. I think it was extra parasites in the host's mouth? I feel like it was scrapped at some point... but I could be wrong
FURBIES!:
Oh yeah, he also does this: (no image for the bat tho)
"I mean when he fights he pulls Furbies out of his magical fanny pack. takes out a wiffle bat. and hits the furby at his enemies.
And then the furby explodes in a blaze of glory." -CQ
Despite using some furbies as explosives, he seems to 'care' about and treat these two like precious babies:
This one is potentially named McFreshby The Fresh Furbrah (Fresh is mentioned to have one named that, and this is the only other furby he's been depicted with)
It can also do THIS: (roll its eyes back into a spookier look)
This is DJ FurBs. that's all i know about him
The REAL Parasite:
Fresh is actually this little parasite controlling a host body. (if you didn't know that why are you reading this post rn!?! but nah I love new Fresh fans, welcome!)
The main parasite is this purple one with the eyemouth and four(?) tendrils, the other colored tentacles are prrrobably Fresh's offspring (freshmageddon moment?) (I'm not actually sure, I'm just pretty sure they're not part of the main parasite but are parasite tentacles)
You can also see Fresh's five or more purple tendrils here stretching out all over his host's body
All art from CrayonQueen/@loverofpiggies
Reference guide made by PurrpleParrasite/@purrpletiger
pls suggest changes or additions if u have ideas!
That's all!

Cyborgs & Body autonomy
Now that we've gotten a whole gang of new cyborgs, ONE has seemingly presented us with some interesting topics to talk about, like cyborgs and body autonomy.
First we meet Genos, who's given a free reign by Doctor Kuseno to do whatever he seems to please and Doctor Kuseno would aid in his cause because he wants Genos to live a full life and live as much as human as possible even as a cyborg, for instance being given the ability to taste food and take organic matter and turn it into a bio mass fuel. (Chapter 40.7: Lobster)
Any gadgets or upgrades Genos asks, Kuseno will build without a question and nothing Genos does not want will be added to the mix. Like Saitama comments, Dr.Kuseno is a nice guy.
However, things like body autonomy get muddled when it comes down to saving someone on critical condition like Air who got hit by a Evil Natural Water through his neck. Lose a life or save a person's life with a bit of medical cybernetics? Unless the person has already opted out to not being resuscitated or opted out on life-saving implants, doctors would do their very best to save that person. Unconscious person cannot consent though, so such an operation to add cybernetic implants is still very dubious. (Chapter 178: Do it outside)
However, what Air did not agree upon and what wasn't part of the life changing deal of getting a new cybernetic throat implanted was new cybernetic eyes, which he notices shortly after awakening. (Chapter 182: Unascertained)
It would be very disturbing to notice such a thing being done while unconscious and unable to consent, so who knows what other kind of operations has been done to him while he wasn't awake. Heroes Association does not play cleanly here, like the Heroic association it is touted out to be.
But then again, neither does the opposite Neo Heroes, who have their own cyborg force with players like Wavygyaza, Kokou, Destro and Elimin.
Wavygyaza subjected herself to a whopping 71% body modifications on her free will, yet now her bodily integrity has greatly eroded, to the point that even her brain is now connected to the Neo heroes main server database and she gets a headache when as she suspects, Isamu, is snooping around. (Chapter 206: Special)
Bodily integrity is the inviolability of the physical body and emphasizes the importance of personal autonomy, self-ownership, and self-determination of human beings over their own bodies.
At that point, she's little more than a puppet which strings can be pulled by anyone operating the main server databases. And they did not even do a good enough job, because her body is in constant state of overheating and she has to take measures to avoid overheating too much, unless she wants rest of heir brain melting inside her cybernetic body.
Genos has many reasons to be thankful to Doctor Kuseno for doing such an excellent job with him. Genos with his high body modification rate is basically on par with Elimin and Destro, who used to work as mercenaries and are now in charge of Nero heroes security, yet they seem more imposing than Genos even on a bad day. They just don't pass the vibe check.
It is probable that with such high body modification rate, subjects's ability to emphathize with their surroundings and other humans would also begin to erode when they become less human and more like a machine.
Genos is very lucky in this regard that his benefactor is very benevolent and very much cares about the humane side of things and cares that Genos would be able to live his life as much as a human as possible and only with the functionality that Genos wants.
Very lucky indeed.

Okay I am doubting that you'd write the comic as geno route but I was thinking about the geno route after seeing the latest addition, and my question is
How would the Starlo / Clover showdown go in the swap aus geno? (Honestly how do you think geno would go down overall?)
It's kind of hard for me to even see any version of Starlo doing anything like the geno route, but this is a human variant so...
Also I think the ceroba geno fight would be even more heartbreaking if shes fighting over her kid that died in front of her
@earlyzakariya
Cowboy Swap Comic
Sorry for the late reply… this ask is rather hard to get through without spoiling the story!
In the geno route Clover would most definitely die, and probably in the same way Starlo does. He would run off from his Mama to be the big hero… but in the end he would fall short. Poor Ceroba would panic looking for him… only to find him duelling Starlo, and losing. And she’d have to hold him, weeping, but telling him that he’s okay, even as he turns to dust…
Sorry about that! That got rather dark 😅 Don’t worry, in the comic she will never have to avenge her son…
As an added bonus, in the geno route Starlo would only ever go by “North Star”. His alternate persona would become the monster he uses to justify his own misdeeds.

Outcodes in Ebott!
Let's just say, the world all the aus collide is the world outside classic Undertale, Ebott. I haven't figured out where each au came from in the country except the farm and mafia, obviously, they lived alongside humans.
Once the barrier broke down, the magic was unbalanced, since it was pure magic, it was a huge change. All the aus got some magic changes as they came to the surface, some monsters didn't have aus to break free from, the outcodes also suffered said magic change.
The new residents of Ebott are the outcodes, they suffered from.. huge magic changes, since some have quite the.. killer thoughts, they were forced by the royals to go to some therapy and yada yada.
When they appear, they were also forced to choose a place to live while they look for a job and choose to rent a house with two floors. This is just for the classic gang (dust, killer, nightmare and the horror brothers + Nile), their variants choose other apartments.
Everyone took notice that a possibly trapped human was with them, Torment made sure everyone knew that Nile (their Nicky) wasn't there against their will. Sure seems they're the favorite…
If I didn't made myself clear, the outcodes are now in Ebott but clearly nerfed by the magic from the barrier breaking down.
The names of the outcodes are: (I could add more)
Dust:
Dusttale: Sans (Polvora) and Papyrus (Sombra)
Dustbelief: Papyrus (Deshonor/Des) and Sans (Geist)

Ok i know only a little about hockey, and less about sports, but i do however feel like sid is the personality version of me if you added competitiveness into the mix, and i just gotta note....
for all the talk about how this is ALL supposed to revolve around him till he retires...the management/coaches dont seem interested in coddling to certain quirks of sid's personality anymore. Like we all know this guy thrives in stability, he started playing in one city and he intends to end his career in that city, he gets emotionally attached, he's more sentimental than a scrapbook, he enjoys being the guy who makes new team members feel special and like they belong (even when they arent on his team - see sid with any rookies around the league), team bonding for sid is like an olympic sport its very serious.
And i get that there is a philosophy that says human beings perform better when under stress that their position is going to be taken away. And thats why the pens seem to be emphasizing their ability to remove players from the roster and replace them with other guys at a whim. But threatening young rookies every game they dont perform 100% seems like the opposite of how sid usually operates. If this is supposed to be about building a team around one guy that is viable for playoffs i dont understand why they arent more careful about picking players that fit better long term. (especially since i think it could be argued that geno is very very similar to sid, although i think geno is admirably more open to trying to fit himself into new modes of operation)(as long as its in pittsburgh)(with sid)
#I dont really care too much lol as long as i get to see geno skating around a few times a week im a happy camper#But like i also prefer to see geno HAPPY and that means we need wins so#Pens need to fix something#Boots penguins liveblog

Thoughts on UTY (Pacifist Version)
Reactions from when I first played Pacifist, and observations I made as the game progressed. A lot of these will be outdated by the time I get this list compiled, but it’s a faithful list of my reactions. No spoilers, plz. I haven’t done Geno, betrayal kills, or boss kills yet. (I kinda don’t want to, these are my babies.)
Long post ahead.
Ruins
Questions
Clover is the narrator, aren't they? I don’t think Chara’s even in this game.
What happens if we don't leave a tip at the lemonade stand?
Is there a way to wake Decibat after he goes to sleep? (I know that's cruel, I'm just curious.)
Dalv keeps talking about a friend, talking like he thinks he will meet them again- Kanako?
Dalv is mistaking us for the human that attacked him, isn't he? The one that made Chujin decide to kill the next human?
Who was leaving Dalv corn? My best guess is Ceroba- that she's felt sorry for him this whole time.
How to look in Dalv's locked doors/drawers? (Probably have to kill him. That... is gonna hurt. I like Dalv, he's a sweetheart.)
Observations
Decibat's music volume decreases the more you stay silent. (Which makes me think all battle music is being generated by Clover, not the monster.)
"Penilla draws near." (Italics added for emphasis.) *facepalm*
"Rorrim" is "mirror" spelled backwards.
Also, "Dalv" is "Vlad" spelled backwards, so might Rorrim be Dalv's personal mirror? Seems to fit, Dalv is extremely tidy.
Dalv's furniture's "fine craftsmanship" is probably Chujin's work.
Other Thoughts
I feel like a sponge cake with 2x absorption should have an effect where it absorbs damage for at least 2 turns.
Snowdin
Questions
Does the Snowdin ice block ever move? The guy that comes here from the Dunes just stands there and does nothing. Perhaps I need to check very late in the game, return from the last SAVE in New Home or something.
What kind of creature is Mo? I looked it up, and all I can find is "he looks like a raccoon." Yeah, I can see that, but he's kinda reddish-brown, so maybe a red panda? I also considered the possibility that Mo could be a tanuki, a Japanese raccoon-dog (and yes, it looks like a raccoon) that supposedly tricks people, especially tricking them into buying drinks- and Mo is a drink salesman.
What are we to make of the human on the wanted poster that Marty describes? She said they wore a hat like ours, but they came from space. I can’t think of a single equippable UT item that seems outer spacey. And since she’s describing a wanted poster, I don’t think she’s talking about Red (the monster she thought was a human). My first guess is that some monsters may equate the Surface with outer space, since they’ve never seen either (and many monsters are obsessed with the stars- Starlo and all the monsters making wishes in Waterfall, for instance).
Observations
Flowey: "We won't be anywhere near your fancy surface air for a while." (Italics added for emphasis.) He sounds... jealous? This was when I first realized that Flowey's only playing nice, but I still have no clue what he’s really planning.
"Snowy" is just barely recognizable in "Snowfall."
Mo's theme is easy to recognize because not only does it use the Sega Genesis soundfont, it even includes the Michael Jackson whoop from Sonic 3&K.
Ice Wolf was when I started to realize that Yellow isn't that long before UT. (Yeah, I know, Flowey should've been my first clue, but I simply assumed he couldn’t be Asriel, that he was someone else that somehow turned into a flower. Anything can happen in these games, after all.)
The Shufflers are all named after things you do with a drink: Toast, Swig, and my favorite, their leader Rephil (Refill).
The Shufflers scold Clover for starting a fight, but later Axis is the one trying to drag us into a fight. I guess battles can go either way.
Shopkeepers have full animations, it's not just facial expressions.
Yellow finally gives us real puzzles. Some of them even take a bit to solve.
Flowey makes a comment about mailing ourselves to Asgore. He clearly already knows about resets, so I think it’s likely that he’s seen the moment (at the end of The Dunes) that the whales start shipping people by mail.
Other Thoughts
Frostermit is so adorable. I need a Frostermit plushie.
Mo makes me think of what Spamton must have been like before Gaster (no, I'm not suggesting a connection, just that's what he made me think of- but given the other, more obvious DR inspirations throughout the game, I think it’s possible they were going for that kind of character).
Headcanon: Insomintot is related to Knight-Knight. They both inherited a genetic tendency to fall asleep when a human sings.
I love the UGPS jingle, it's so cute.
"(The remnants of a snowman. Once full of life. Now full of potential for new life.)" This line is a little creepy, to me. Clover may not realize it, they're probably just joking, but WE know that some snowmen in the Underground are alive, and I'm wondering what happened to this one.
I don't know if it's the same soundfont, but the Honeydew Resort theme reminds me of Final Fantasy: Mysticquest.
I actually picked "minor scales" when talking to the cellist at the resort, because I actually do like minor scales.
Being a Shadow the Hedgehog fan (the character, not just the game), I got a chuckle out of the description of coffee bean ammo. What do you mean, you can't eat the beans???
I haven't actually noticed any 4th wall moments, but Martlet's message on the second ball puzzle, the message that apologizes for making it too high to see and says the human must be very good at guessing, makes me think it's a very obscure allusion to the fact that Clover is being possessed by the player. There aren't enough moments like that in this game for me to go all crazy with lore and theories, but it's a nice touch to see such an allusion.
In all fairness, Marty has some craftsmanship abilities. Unfinished, shoddy workmanship notwithstanding, it still takes some knowledge of mechanics to make a water-powered door lock.
I just love Marty, she’s so sweet, I want her to be my little sister.
Waterfall
Questions
Why does the Royal Guard bother to survey their prisoners on “auditory ambiance” and things like that when they’re just gonna deliver the SOUL to Asgore??? I mean, isn’t the victim (except Red, apparently) usually dead before they get this far???
Observations
Not sure, but I’m guessing this is a different river than the one we travel with River Person. Not only do we never meet River Person, but the colors of the ground and plants behind Ava look like the marshy sections of Waterfall that we never get to walk in.
Other Thoughts
I love how we never actually visit Waterfall (unless you count the post-credits scene), we just float past it. Acknowledgement of the source material without actually copying it. And gave them that much more time and room to include an entirely new area (2, if you count the Wild East as separate from the Dunes).
The mention of a Royal Scientist threw me off. I totally did not expect Alphys, I thought this game took place many years before UT, and I’ve seen no Gaster references in this game at all.
The Dunes
Questions
More of a complaint than an actual question, but… if they wanted to make a Zelda reference, WHY OH WHY did they have to do the Death Mountain rockfall???
Since the Dunes are so near Hotland, could the gigantic Swelterstone be responsible for Hotland’s heat, too?
Since El Bailador calls us a “Sentinel of Silence,” how will killing Decibat affect the fight with Bailey?
If you do well in the Bailey fight, does he stop saying you don’t love dancing as much as him?
How to move the sunbathing (wait, what sun?) cactus that blocks that one road?
Observations
The Dunes is where I noticed that the battle theme changes depending on the location.
Sea Tea still increases SOUL speed. Loved that they kept this in.
Same black slime that we met in MTT Resort Hotel. And still outraged because of an elevator. Feels like he’ll never find a working one.
Bowll being a china bowl shaped like a bull is probably a play on the phrase “a bull in a china shop.”
Clover got the green healing flowers (the ones in the Omega Flowey fight) from Violetta.
I sucked at Mew Mew Love Blaster, but I watched a walkthrough, and DID THEY SERIOUSLY GIVE MEW MEW A “BIG SHOT”?!? (Coming back to this after finishing the game, I went, “yup, they did.”)
Other Thoughts
“Vigorous Terrain” is my favorite location theme, but I still haven’t figured out whether there’s any significance in it being a remix of “Your Best Friend.”
That first tumbleweed, the one that comes rolling out of the hole in the cliff, had me like “wut?” I did love how they replaced Undyne’s rocks with tumbleweeds.
I also love the mines music. The first few notes remind me of Zelda’s Lullaby (from LOZ).
I actually missed getting a free pickaxe because the monster’s trivia question about the Royal Scientist threw me off. I still didn’t realize this took place after Asgore hired Alphys, I thought it came WAAAAY before that. (This also finally confirmed for me that Flowey is, in fact, the same one we know from UT, Asriel.)
I tried not to make a lot of comparisons to DR, considering this isn’t even canon to UT, but I did feel like the mouse attack in Bowll’s fight was very similar to that one attack in the Maus fights in DR. But I think the Maus fight itself was probably a reference to some old video game (can’t remember which one, it just always felt familiar), so maybe UTY was making the same reference.
Was stunned to see Undyne look-alikes in the Mines, was more surprised that they mentioned her, and was the most surprised to find that they’re not related.
Clover has a very cute animation for hopping in the mine cart.
I could not figure out Bailador’s fight mechanics, and tbh, I got thru it on an absolute fluke (and the silver scarf). I had to look up a walkthrough later to realize you have to move into the right space AND press the action button when the color lights up. I thought it was just being in the right space. Every rhythm game controls differently, it seems.
Wild East
Questions
Do mail whales keep notebooks full of potential rhymes, like Marty and her notebook full of puzzle ideas?
Is “designated naptime” a reference to siestas, or did Star just not want to overwork everybody?
“A ballet shoe could be lethal if used enough times.” Um. Got anything to share there, Blackjack? “Don’t question my morality! I’m not prepared to speak on it!” OKAY, I REALLY NEED YOU TO SPEAK ON IT NOW….
Can we get into the locked farm cellar? (Preferably without killing anyone?)
Observations
Animals still living in the Underground at least provides some explanation for where monsters get their food (in addition to the corn).
The BEST part about the health overcharge? You don’t lose it when you SAVE! He might be a plague doctor, but Doc works absolute miracles.
Star paid double price for the gun he bought us.
They actually take around 15 paces for the dual (I lost count). (And yes, I spelled it “dual” on purpose.)
Moray comments that Star made them walk around with a rubber snake in their boot. I looked it up, and it looks like the first and most well-known movie to use that “snake in my boot” reference really WAS Toy Story (although it has origins outside of film from farther back). So Starlo also watches animations (as long as they have cowboys).
Vengeful Virgil’s comment that not caring about others’ feelings is what makes him a villain, comes while we’re on our way to console Star after his cocky selfishness drove everyone away. This was not a coincidence.
Every monster has a magical ability, and Starlo’s is literal “bullet time” (he can slow you down).
^This also makes me wonder: remember how he flew backwards in slow-motion when we shot him in the dual? I wonder if he was using his bullet time on himself for dramatic effect.
Star’s family: his dad, Solomon (the sun), his mom, Crestina (the moon), and a brother who’s name I never found but looks like a 4-pointed star. (I’ve seen people call him Orion, so I’m going with that, for now.)
Star has several sticky notes in his dad’s almanac, and keeps dad’s almanac on his own bedroom nightstand. Seems like Star probably took his life on the farm seriously before he left home.
Star also apparently had an interest in outer space. Possibly some confusion stemming from Toy Story? (I actually started headcanoning that Toy Story got him into cowboys, and put together a fic on that.)
Not sure where the term “space cowboy” originated, or what Clover’s actually referring to when they say it about Star, but the first use of that phrase that I’m finding is a Steve Miller song from 1969 (referenced later in Steve Miller’s “The Joker” from 1973, the line that a lot of people associate with Steve Miller: “some people call me the space cowboy, some call me the gangster of love”). The phrase has been used numerous times in multiple ways since then.
Seems like Star sewed his own outfit.
Other Thoughts
Picked “no” when Star asked if monsters die when you ride them into the sun cuz I thought the whole town would converge upon me, heh.
Was honestly surprised that the dummy finally showed up. This was the first time I tried using the FIGHT option, and it turned out to be rather difficult. I am not looking forward to Neutral or Genocide.
Star tells Ceroba we’re as good of a shot as him, and she goes, “Really? A child?” Still not entirely sure whether she’s poking a bit of fun at Star, but I don’t think she is. Star doesn’t take any offense to her comment for himself, and her sprite when she speaks next, saying she’s “impressed,” looks extremely surprised. (In all fairness, despite Blackjack’s claims, Star actually is really good.)
I suck at them all, but the mini-games in UTY are all so fun.
Love the change-up to the battle animation during Feisty Four’s attack, how they switch between characters and even team up.
“A tumbleweed rolls by. It says hello.” Well, why not? I mean, the rocks and cacti are sentient.
The first mention of Kanako at The Lab had me in tears, because, like… we KNOW what happened to her.
Steamworks
Questions
“The Steamworks was the main power source of the Underground.” This statement confuses the timeline a bit for me. The Core is now the main power source of the Underground, but my understanding is that the Steamworks was operational long after Gaster died.
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THAT LAST AWARD ON THE WALL SAYS.
Does the story change at all depending on what parts you use for Axis’ gf? (Also, I wonder how many of us just picked up the first 2 or 3 items and then realized there’s way more than 4 items to choose from and wished Ceroba would let us start over.)
Is there a way to fix the grandfather clock?
Does the grandfather clock say something different if the time on your PC actually is 6:26 on a Monday morning in spring?
Observations
Ceroba telling Clover to wait in the corner, kinda refers back to her doubting that a child could be as good of a shot as Star. She has very little respect for Clover at this point. Not entirely sure if it’s just because Clover’s a human, or if it’s also because they’re just a kid.
Don’t think I missed Flowey’s comment about The Lab. He clearly does NOT want us to go there.
Ceroba must have some kind of dimensional satchel, herself. I don’t see how else she can carry the hunkajunk we built (not to mention pulling her staff out of hammerspace).
BTW, “dihydrogen monoxide” is just water. Vendy probably just called it that to make it sound poisonous.
Vendy said their last boot up was yesterday and that their creator always comes by on Mondays to restock them. Sadly, the grandfather clock is stuck on 6:26, Monday morning. Kinda feel sorry for Vendy.
Guardener is actually nice. She even grows a flower just for the bot that came late.
Telly-Vis starts using the bullet patterns of other monsters during the “reruns” portion of the fight.
You can cheat on the Axis fight if you have the silver scarf. Just deliberately miss Axis when you ping-pong the red balls for enough turns to heal up.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m guessing that Ceroba would get mad and ditch you if you kill one of the robots, turning the run into a Neutral.
Other Thoughts
Screw those water puzzles at the start of Steamworks.
DAT MUSIC, THO.
I’m not gonna try to discuss Ceroba’s growing respect for us. That needs a whole analysis post of its own. (Well, everything about Ceroba needs its own analysis.)
Axis rolled in and I was like, “Oh, no, another one.” Seems like we just keep running into these darned toaster ovens on wheels.
Axis music is fire, tho, all of it.
I swear I hear some DR inspirations in the music. Haven’t learned the names for all the tracks yet, but at one point I thought I heard Digital Roots (when Ceroba’s fiddling with the generator) and at another I thought I heard Card Castle (the room where you build Axis’ gf).
A game mechanic I love: Ceroba’s shield effect (well, as long as it’s shielding Clover).
A mechanic I hate: Jandroid’s slippery floors.
I also love the manta ray ferryboat.
Mo’s level of professionalism is off-the-charts. He ain’t about to let a little thing like his clothes and his stand catching fire ruin a sales pitch.
Being a Christian, I’m not going to share what I really think of the Axis chase.
Loved seeing the return of popato chisps.
I swear, I thought all that white stuff was monster dust at first. Walked into the Science Division and nearly burst into tears.
I hope somebody finally has chance to either fix Guardener or shut her down properly once they reach the surface.
Conveyor belt puzzle caused me trouble because I kept trying to box up trash. Took me a while to realize “red” and “blue” referred to the highlights around the objects.
I’ll talk more in depth later, but I love how Clover has this calming effect on Ceroba when she’s chewing out the productivity bot.
Believe it or not, I didn’t get caught by Axis in the fireplace room! Go me! (Actually, it’s really not that hard….)
Still not entirely sure what I think of Axis deliberately handing us a “weapon” just to give himself an excuse to attack us.
I’ve said this before: he took me an hour and a half to fight the first time. I really hate the mechanics in his boss fight. And it was especially humiliating for me because I’d only died, maybe, 3 or 4 times before him. Didn’t have any trouble with Starlo, and while I never did get the hang of Bailey’s fight, I think I only died to him once. Guardener was responsible for the other deaths.
I love how Ceroba’s been insulting the Steamworks the whole time, but I don’t think she ever insults Axis. That was her late husband’s baby. And then she even gives him tips on dating.
Ceroba finally respects us after the Axis fight. It takes remembering why she needs us for her to be able to press on with her mission.
Chujin’s House
Questions
Woodworking, robotics, SOUL research, video game designer, loving husband and father- I know Chujin was kinda old, but how DID he find time for all this???
Marty finds Kanako’s room to be unsettling. Not sure why.
Clover doesn’t like the gas stove and worries it will cause a housefire. I’ve wondered before whether they came from an orphanage. Did they lose their family in a fire?
“The Founder’s Crest.” Who are the Founders? Founders of what? Or is this just a reference to something I’m not familiar with? (Possibly something in Japanese culture?)
Was Chujin actually that much older than Ceroba? Or did he just age rapidly because of his research? If boss monsters only age when they have children, how could he have become so old before marrying Ceroba… unless he’d already had, and lost, one child before?
I’ve been told there’s a secret behind Chujin’s grave. Will have to check it out the next time I do a Pacifist run.
Observations
Strange that Ed found the trapdoor so easily when Ceroba didn’t know about it until Chujin told her. Ceroba must not have covered it up properly before locking up the house. Possibly also Chujin somehow arranged it with her that he would be the one cleaning the dining room.
I feel like Moray’s the smartest one of the Four. They knew it was a good idea to send for Marty.
And THIS is where Marty gets smart. She takes charge in Star’s absence. The Four listen to her, even Ed (reluctantly). And SHE’s the one telling us to stay on track.
(Ok, she’s still a bit naïve- she doesn’t seem to consider that Chujin’s paper with her name is actually ABOUT her.)
The drawings on Kanako’s bedroom wall: Dalv, the monster on the Dunes swingset, her family… and a flower? Well, I mean… a lot of little kids like to draw flowers, so that might not be anything. Also a drawing of what looks like Axis lying on the floor.
“Nuh-uh! Kids shouldn’t mess with knives!” Nice little reference there, dev team.
And, of course, it’s Flowey who makes light of Ceroba’s mission, calling it a “science fair project.” Well. He has every right to say whatever he likes about SOUL research. Doesn’t he.
Of course, we didn’t get Star’s letter in time because Ceroba wouldn’t let us check the mail. But I highly doubt she planned it that way, as she had no idea the Five would be snooping around her old house.
Other Thoughts
Starlo is so. completely. PISSED. And… uh, he has a right to be. Like, she’s doing a lot of what he just did- lying and scheming and using Clover to fix her own problems (those two are a match set, I swear….) And he’s torn. These are his two friends, Clover being the human he practically worshipped, and Ceroba being one of his closest friends (not to mention the love of his life, but I digress). He doesn’t want anything to happen to her, but he can’t let Clover get hurt, either.
The fact that Moray sent for Marty as soon as learning that Clover was in danger just seals in the idea that Marty is part of the family.
…how long has that corn chowder been in that fridge, anyway???
I’ve already discussed my thoughts about Chujin in other posts, a lot of them still in queue.
Hotlands
Questions
Kinda wonder what could’ve made Clover suspicious about the wall to the left of the UG Apartments.
Never did figure out where the “rain” was coming from. I figure it’s just a leaky sink upstairs or something. (I’d thought at first it was from the janitor cleaning the hallway, but that’s on the other side of the building.)
Observations
I’m sure everyone recognized it, but in case someone didn’t, Bailey’s in the colored tile room.
I think Muffet herself blocked the way thru Hotland, renovating for her pastry shop.
Mr. Cursor mentions a 10-sided die. They have some version of D&D in the Underground. Probably more like… idk, Houses and Humans?
Working for Mettaton must have taken quite a toll on the janitor. He doesn’t look nearly so tired or decrepit here.
There was a flier on the bulletin board in the Wild East that was advertising the acts at the UG Apartments. The band we saw in Honeydew Resort has a gig at the Apartments on Fridays. So, this game- or at least by the time we reach Hotland- is on a Friday.
Other Thoughts
The monster candy is butterscotch-flavored. *nods* Of course, what else would it be?
Poor Heats. Defeateeeeeeeeed again….
Star can actually survive drinking magma. I’ve got headcanons about this boiling in my brain….
I thought Know Cone said he was just gonna look at Hotland from a mountaintop…?
New Home/Pacifist Ending
Questions
If there’s an elevator leading to the castle, I’m guessing that means at least one of the other endings has us actually fight Asgore.
How exactly does Kanako’s mask give Ceroba superpowers? I feel like it might be a reference to Japanese mythology, but I know very, very little about Japanese mythology.
How exactly does Clover have the ability to see into Ceroba’s memories?
I kinda hate myself for asking, but… what happens if you choose FIGHT after you beat Ceroba?
Observations
Star is the one asking Ceroba if she’s gonna kill them all because while he doesn’t know all the details, he recognizes the headspace she’s in.
Other Thoughts
Not only am I thrilled to finally get to explore some of New Home, I’m absolutely in love with the design and the music.
I think when Ceroba says she lied about Kanako, she’s not saying she lied about Kanako falling down, or about sending her to the lab. She lied about having any hope that Kanako would return safely.
How the heck do frikkin’ cherry blossom petals have so much attack power???
The dash mechanic took me time to learn, but if Toby ever decides to steal from Yellow, I hope he steals this :P
My reactions to Ceroba’s plan: “But Chujin specifically begged you NOT to use Kanako! How do you think you’re honoring his memory by going against his final wish?!” “Oh, I see, finishing the serum was his death wish. That’s still no excuse to use your own daughter, tho.” And finally: “…oh…”
I tried to get thru the game without cheats (except for being on easy mode) but I did have to turn on auto-fire for Ceroba’s final phase.

Ok, sorry, I just need to rant about my version of Swap Sans
So, to me, the main building blocks of Underswap is that the characters who are swapped swap both their vibe and their place. What does this mean? Well, the place thing is easy, it just means that whenever you're supposed to meet a character you will meet their swapped counter part instead (That's why Asgore is in the Ruins) The vibes thing is a little trickier
I say vibes rather than personality for a reason, they don't swap personalities in my version of the au. Sans still loves puns, Papyrus is still a little obsessed with humans and puzzles, and Asgore still loves to garden! Their vibes are just a little different. Sans actually has the motivation to get up in the morning, Papyrus can now sit still on occasion, stuff like that. But they're still themselves, and that's what I find so fun about them
See, when you get to Snowdin town the boss you have to beat to get to Waterfall is Sans, as you may expect. But this Sans is still the Sans you meet in Undertale proper, and we all know how he can fight when he goes all out. So he doesn't!
So long as you're doing a neutral or pacifist run his fight is more like a test! He straight up tells you that he has 1 HP and any hit will kill him, so you'll need to show him how good you are at ACTing and talking your way out of fights. This is for a few reasons, but one I'll mention is that he's still really close to Toriel in this au. And some part of him wants to hope that maybe, maybe if you're skilled enough, his friend won't have to kill another human and break herself down even further
So it's a pretty easy fight, about as easy as the Papyrus fight in Undertale. He even offers to take you on a date for all the trouble, which is just as silly as the Papyrus date. But all of that is assuming that you play along
If you take your chance to attack him during the fight, he'll dodge out of the way. He'll scold you but chalk it up to butter fingers and let you off the hook. Do it three times though, and his eyelights go out. His smile drops. and he lets out a great sigh
"Huh, I don't know what I expected. Jokes on me for thinking it might be different this time I guess. Alright kid, you want a fight? I'll give you one"
And the fun little fight you were supposed to have early in the game goes full genocide run. He does not hold back, he does not show mercy, and he will taunt you about how many times he's killed you if you try hitting him again once you respawn. This Sans is VERY aware of your timeline shenanigans and unlike Undertale Sans, he has the motivation to cut your little game short before you can do any real harm
If you're doing a geno run he doesn't even pretend to like you once Pap is out of ear shot. He wants you dead, and the only reason he waits at all when he sees you step out of the Ruins covered in dust is because of how much faith he has in his brother. Surely someone as nice, and confident, and cool and Papyrus could get you to turn your ways around, right? If you were doing a geno run but don't clear out all the monsters before you fight Sans he'll have something to say about it
"Wow, look at you. Honestly, I didn't think it would work, but look at you! You've changed a lot huh? Sure, all that dust won't come out easy, but you haven't added to it since you got here. Want a medal? Look, I still don't trust you, but you've shown me there's at least some part of you that doesn't want to murder anything that moves. So I'll let you pass though to Waterfall, we don't even have to fight. Just hit that Spare button and we walk away like none of this ever happened"
He's true to his word too. You can go on a neutral run from here. But if you take this moment of Mercy to show Sans your true colors, he isn't prepared for it. Your attack hits him hard, bringing him to his knees as he starts to bleed. He laughs, telling you he should have expected as much from you, giving you one last warning to stay the fuck away from his brother before walking off screen. Getting to the tree line before his dust scatters into the snow, only leaving his little blue bandana for Papyrus to find later

One thing I truly love about fandom and fic writers in particular is how lovingly we can add to a story without tarnishing it, like adding a wing to a castle or planting a rose bush in a garden.
For a week now I have been obsessed with the undisclosed nuances of Genos' study of Saitama.
Genos states at one point that he can turn food into biofuel to power all the machinery he's working with. In my mind, it stands to reason that as he acquires more extremely powerful high tech equipment, he's going to start needing to eat more to gain more fuel. At some point, intuitive as he is, he's going to start noticing the disconnect between how much fuel it takes to run at full capacity, and how little he and Saitama actually consume with their frugal spending habits.
If a cyborg that can make minor tweaks to improve fuel efficiency still has to eat so much, what kind of god among gods would Saitama be if he didn't just settle for a banana in the morning, and ate even a fraction of the calories a human normally needs to maintain a form like his?
So anyways, yeah, I think Genos has his own reasons for hunting down market deals.

Renegade!Reaper/Death
Info post about the au
(If characters seem OOC ((Out Of Character)) it's beacause I'm going off of my own interpretations/headcanons/fandom versions. So please be aware of that)
More info under the cut (Info is subject to change at any time. Info may be added to as well)
-Jobs in the group: ???, non? Just their resident grim reaper that acts as an omen of death
Weapons of choice: scythe, and smaller duel scythes, crows that he can summon to obscure himself
-Head canon voice: ???
-uses any pronouns, basically whatever anyone sees them as, but mainly uses he/him
-The people he can touch without killing them are: Geno, Dream, Nightmare, Fresh (providing he can touch the skeletal body, but not the parasite itself), Error.
-His main job is to help souls pass on, he never really has to kill anyone, it’s if someone somehow escaped something they otherwise should have died from is when he steps in to kill them. He normally tries to make these deaths look natural, as to have no one question it.
-Due to Geno’s luck and the fact he’s immune to the death touch, he (Reaper) tried in the past to kill Geno in more natural looking ways, before he just started to get board and started to try to kill him in dumb/funny ways e.g. dropping a piano on him (before the apocalypse). He could just kill him (Geno) himself, but he’s board and is just having fun at this point, he’s also grown fond of Geno and doesn’t exactly want to kill him now.
-Isn’t around the group too often, and when he is, he’s normally around Geno, since Geno is the only reason he’s around the group in the first place. Though due to meeting the twins he may go talk to them too.
-Loves old/antique/retro/etc board/card/etc games, especially ones that aren’t well known. Mainly due to in the past he’d play these games with humans/monsters. So often tries to find people to play these games with him if he can get his hands on those games. Due to the group he has a few people he can play these games with now, providing he can convince then teach them how to play.
-When not around Geno but is still around the group he’s normally found talking to one of the twins. He knows Nightmare doesn’t mind him, and he also knows that Dream is unsure of him. Tries to be on good terms with them anyway, it’s not every day that he gets to interact with other ‘divine’ beings such as himself, hopes that they could be friends, since he’s gonna be around for a while so may as well make friends who are also going to be around for a while.
-Likes to tell stories about his time alive. Likes to share about things he’s seen. Basically a really chatty guy once you get him talking.
-
-Even though he likes to tell stories about himself not much is actually truly known about him, well in the groups eyes. Reaper will overshare, but since he’s lived for a really long time it basically means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Especially since someone alive for that long can change so much as a person. (Since not much is known about Reaper this is why there are fewer notes of him, compared to the others.)
How they feel about:
Nightmare/Dream: Two other ‘divine’ beings that have been around for a while. Tries to be their friend since may as well be friends with other immortals. So enjoys his time talking/hanging out with them. Often trying to tell them about his life, he’s pretty sure he gave both of them a crisis making them realize they’re gonna be alive for a really long time. Sure the twins have been about for a good while already, but they’ve never really registered it till talking to Reaper.
Error: Knows Error doesn’t like him, so tries to stay out of Error’s way, Error has tried to attack him before.
Geno: Gets along with him, at first he was annoyed when they first met, since he had to actually find a way to kill Geno, and his annoyance only grew as Geno dodged death time and time again. But over time he became fond of Geno, finding it fun to interact and tease Geno. He doesn’t really want to kill Geno anymore.
Fresh: Doesn’t like him whatsoever. And doesn’t want Geno to run into him either, knowing it would probably hurt Geno to see what’s happened to his brother. The parasite being in the body prevents him from using his death touch to kill the parasite, a few times he’s tried to go after ‘Fresh’ but somehow ‘Fresh’ has always been able to slip away.
The others: No strong feelings about any of them. He does get along with a few of them, but mostly he can just say hes neutral about the rest of them

Jack Skellington Smoochability???
This makes me want to lose my mind, in the best way possible. For some unholy reason, that I can’t even begin to explain
Gonna tag all of you, because you brought this on yourselves >:| (/j, obviously)
@a-kiwi-fruit-that-makes-ocs @horsegirl469 @dragon-phoenix-along @lunarreaper12 @scienceisfood @nugget--daddy @madness-of-void @galaxytalesans20982
Jack Skellington gets a smooch-ability rating of 6 out of 12. He’s a decent enough choice, but there are some potential hazards/risks (mostly his hygiene) that you should take into consideration before leaning in for a smooch
1) Is his mouth dangerous? His teeth are not flat or super jagged, but they are somewhat sharp. Not nearly sharp enough to slice open your lip, of course, but enough so that they could still cause some discomfort. He’s only getting 1 point here, due to that
(Added a picture for reference, just because I can)
2) Would Jack bite? Is he aggressive? Admittedly, I haven’t seen Nightmare Before Christmas in so, SO long, so I remember very little of the movie. From what I vaguely remember, Jack strikes me as someone who does whatever they want, whenever they feel like it. Biting would probably be included in that. Though… in his defense, he seemed pretty laidback, and while he can be “scary”, I don’t think he’s truly aggressive. Not in a way that’d result in people being genuinely hurt by him, at least. I’ll give 2 points, since even though I’m not sure how much I’d trust him not to bite, at the very least he wouldn’t be actively trying to take a chunk out of anyone’s face
3) Are there any health hazards to the smoocher? He doesn’t carry weapons or anything that the smoocher could accidentally get hurt by, he might be somewhat of a biohazard. Because even though he’s not a walking corpse like Springtrap or eternally bleeding from the mouth like Geno, he still comes from a place where cobwebs, bugs and spiders crawling around, and sleeping in coffins is normal. We don’t know what his personal hygiene is like or how often he brushes his teeth. That being said… I’d say he gets 0 points for his questionable hygiene and potential yuckiness
4) Does he have a sympathetic backstory? Honestly, we don’t know anything about his backstory. I googled it, and all I found was that he used to be human. I’m not sure about his cause of death or what he was like as a human, but in the movie, he wants a change of pace. Despite his fame and success, he wants something more than that, so he can feel complete, in a sense. Which then leads to him kidnapping Santa Claus, creating destructive weapons (according to one of the websites I checked), and upsetting the entire town. He doesn’t mean to, of course, but his actions still did. Even though I kinda feel for him a little in regards to him wanting to find “something more”, all in all, the lack of information about him makes it hard for me to say his backstory is sympathetic. 0 points here
5) Does he deserve smooches? If you take everything he does that I listed in the point above and then also take into consideration what he was like as a friend to Sally (being a terrible listener, ignoring her objections to things, and talking over her), then…. No, I don’t think he’s too deserving. Maybe, maybe 1 point here if you squint because he had to eventually right his wrongs, but that still kind of feels like a stretch to me
6) Is he cute or cool? I wouldn’t say he’s cute, no. Definitely not based on the choices he made in the movie, at least. I could see him being cool though, both design-wise and in terms of his supernatural abilities. I’ll give him 2 points for coolness
In total, (no one come for me over this), Jack Skellington gets a smooch-ability rating of 6. While I personally wouldn’t smooch him, you’re free to, if you really wanted. He’s not the best possible smooching partner, but you could trust him to not maim you for it, at the very least. Feel free to take my rating with a grain of salt, because again, I haven’t watched the movie in such a long time, and I’m going solely off of what I found online in a few different websites and articles

Peak at the Toriel Dialogue for the Astrea Mod
As you can see, there's some kinks to work out. Ramble under the cut (Spoilers for UTY obviously)
OKAY SO MODDING IS SOMETHING!! But yeah, I decided to take on the task of making the silent protagonist no longer silent. Astrea isn't the quiet type, None of my soul OCs are. Which means, I gotta not only CHANGE existing dialogue, but ADD to it! add the fact that the human's dialogue is coloured (in my headcanon anyway but clover's inner thoughts in the geno route are yellow so why can astrea's outer dialogue be the same?) and that i gotta account for ALL the routes, and i have my work cut out for me.
And OH-HO-HO! Lemme tall ya, it was pretty difficult to get Astrea talking without any issues. I kept getting error after error. Mind you, i started adding dialogue in the wild east first. I did fix it, of course. I just had to make the object talking a variable in whichever script it was. Which, there's MULTIPLE 'clover' objects i had to change to make Astrea chatty. The player object itself, the sitting saloon object, the raft sit object, the 'player npc' object...
Didnt have to do much except add some things that allows it lo look like astrea is talking.
Modding is complicated. Fun, yes, but complicated.
So now I wanna talk about the coloured text. Anyone who's played or has seen someone play the UTY Geno route knows that there's some text that appears in the endgame after beating martlet. Said text is coloured yellow. I am still yet to figure out how the game determines the colour of that text so i can change it to Astrea's shade of yellow. (and maaaaybe add something else too) And once i DO figure it out, i'll be able to change the step code i currently have to that so that it'll be a little more efficient. Less likely for accidental clashes in code that way.

Adding on to my Draconic AU sort of idea I had earlier (my last post)
First off, generations:
ab aeterno (From the Eternal)- True dragons born of divinity includes beings like Life, Death, Dream, Nightmare, and Ink. These few are frequently seen in depictions of the divine and are seen as immortal beings who may do as they please.
ab Antiquo (From the Ancient)- who are the first generation of man made drakes or divinely cursed. Includes people like Fresh, Geno, Error, Core, Sans, Fell, Swap, and XGaster.
ab Incunabulis (From the Cradle)- the newest generation of drakes. These beings mostly make up drakes who were born as drakes rather than made drakes. Carrying over some blood from “ab Antiquo” (most parents will remain probably unnamed) quite a few were never even human to begin with. Those who were born human might be Killer and Horror. While those who were born Drakes might be Dust, Cross, Ccino, etc
Genuses(?):
Draco naledi- The genus for the drakes who retain their humanoid figure. This includes those who can shapeshift into other forms but their base forms retain human like qualities. This genus while seeming tall when compared to those of a normal human stature, they are seen as the little guys to much of the other Drake genuses.
However what Draco Naledi lacks in firepower and nature born affinities they are more likely to make up for with the sheer amounts of Determination (DT) or Mana (MP) they store in their bodies. Making them able to out endure a large portion of non divine drakes.
Draco duopinnati- A genus for the species of drakes which typically retain only two wings and no frontal limbs, more commonly referred to as wyverns. Their affinities rely more specifical on fire or lightning, they are typically associated with the name Wyverns
Draco torquensvermis- A ground bound genus who typically lack external limbs or are long and winding with one set of forelimbs. These variants typically burrow themselves deep within the ground, their bodies never seeming to finish growing until their untimely demise or if their nutrients are in low supply. Despite this they do not grow an unreasonable amount, typically gaining an inch or two in length per year if met with the right conditions. These creatures are usually referred to as Wyrms, having an affinity for metal or even earth based magicks if born lucky enough. Though they most commonly rely on pure physical strength.
Draco troglodyte- A genus more commonly referred to as Knuckers. This variant more closely resembles Eastern Dragons in build, this genus is specifically known to have features from other animals. Like “fur”, more angular ears, hooves, etc. However they remain on the smaller side, with tinier wings of which cannot lift them off the ground. They have a more diverse variety of magicks than the other genuses. Healing magicks, blue magick, etc

Some more thoughts on 'Morality Pets Redux'
Link to original post.
ONE still blows me away by how clearly he differentiates between manga and webcomic. There's a tradeoff that he respects: if the webcomic is short, sharp and to the point, then the characters have limitations in how they can interact, try things out, and grow. Conversely, if the manga is long to the point that it can take a long time for it to get to some sort of point, the characters have more scope to find themselves. He treats both versions with respect and if there's no scope for characters to change themselves, then they don't. Which is why we have two great stories to read! :D
There's no point in Tatsumaki changing in the webcomic because there's no one willing to have her in their lives. She's been so toxic that all Fubuki wants is to be left the hell alone, and even Saitama's gone 'eh, I've lost all interest' after she rebuffs his attempts to reach out very rudely. She notes that she ends up driving everyone away, but she's far from actually accepting that she needs to change. Tatsumaki in the manga has positive reasons to change -- she has a sister who wants to get along better with her. Doing so means accepting both her and the people around her, even if it's difficult and there are legitimate challenges. It's a hard pill to swallow but she's trying.
I really appreciate the difference between regretting the consequences of one's actions and being prepared to change one's actions. So human. If feeling bad about our actions was enough to change them, there'd be no anti-addiction or dieting services, counselling would be rare, and prisons would be all but empty.
In both versions, Genos is the guy who wants ultimate destructive power and is willing to even kill himself if it'll take enemies to Hell with him. However, for a guy who is so committed to destruction, it's striking that he's cut to the quick when Sonic taunts him saying that he can't protect anyone.
There's no scope to explore this seeming contradiction in the webcomic. We need to accept that hey, he has places where he won't go and that's fine. The manga has more space, so ONE can dig into the protect vs. destroy issue and have him have to make decisions about what he actually values. The despair that lanced through him when victory slipped through his grasp when fighting Elder Centipede says so much about what matters:
Something @carma-tjol said in their tags really added a lot to my understanding: they pointed to the link between Genos seeing himself as having value and changing his outlook on heroes from assets to people. It added so much salience to Fubuki refusing to run away and risking her life to save him because she didn't abandon her people. She really challenged his outlook.
I like that he's still wrestling with himself after the fact. Had King not come when he did, it'd have been a lose-lose situation: Tatsumaki would be dead anyway and the monsters would be free to rampage over the land and kill millions. He needed to hear Saitama telling him he'd done right to feel a sense of peace. It's very human -- it's hard not to look back even when we see that we've made the right choice.
Come to that, there was something that we'd (okay me and the small sharing circle of mutuals who talk too much about Genos) had been fearing: that Saitama would just note that Genos was broken again, the way he had in the webcomic. Remember this thread? It very nearly came to pass but for King intervening and vouching for Genos so that Saitama had to change the way he saw his disciple. Thank goodness.
If King hadn't been there, because Genos is actively questioning himself, the outcome of Saitama seeming to be dismissive wouldn't have been mere depression. It'd have been total despair. What Genos would have heard is that he's weak and lacked the guts to follow through on his committment to destroy enemies even if it meant killing himself. Talk about a tragic misunderstanding! Blessedly, ONE meters his angst -- it doesn't do to crush all your character's hope in one go.

any aus of your choice, what're their relationship/dynamic with their world's frisk or chara?
Undertale
Frisk is family to Sans and Papyrus, not quite anything specifically defined, their just like "little sibling-nibling-child who stays over sometimes". They and Sans had a slightly strained relationship for a while after their final reset, but they bonded post-pacifist. Them and Papyrus are best buds.
Underfell
Red and Edge are the guardians of Ruby. Not sibling or parent, just guardians. They helped Ruby get through Snowdin and Waterfall, despite going against the royal guard and Asgore to do so. Their extremely protective of them, for good reason.
Underswap
Faith is their little sibling. Unlike the other worlds, Blue and Rus prefer more defined terms with most things. Blue adored Faith from the beginning, he saw this little slightly injured human and was already signing mental adoption papers. Rus, on the other hand, was pretty nonchalant with them for the first few pacifist runs. Once he knew they could reset, he didn't blame them for do multiple pacifists in a row, he would've done the same. But when the genocide routes started, he became pretty bitter towards them. It took a long time for him to warm back up to them once they did a final pacifist.
Reapertale
Angel and Demo- Reapertale's Frisk and Chara- are Reaper's step-kids, pretty much. His relationship with Life isn't quite a defined one, but the two call him dad, and call Soul uncle, so he's taken it in stride. as far as the kids are concerned, they have one mom and three dads (Reaper, Geno, Asgore)
Echotale
Also not particularly defined. Somewhere between youngest sibling, eldest nibling, and middle cousin. Chain (Frisk) is 18 in my Echotale, but they've known G!S since they were 12 or so. G!S, Chain, and Patch are the only three people remaining in the underground, so they're sort of required to get along.
Killer
Technically Killer is his Frisk. When he absorbed Frisk's soul, he retained his own consciousness as Sans, but added Frisk and Chara onto it. Chara's actually the one controlling his body most of the time, 'Killer' is the combonation of the three of them, not just Sans' nickname. Frisk very rarely gains control, but when they do, their very distressed. The other Bad Sanses tend to stay away when Frisk is in control, partially because they have vendettas against Frisk, and partially because they don't want to scare Frisk. Killer as a whole can't remember any of their memories, only the ones from his timeline and after, but he never has recollection of Frisk coming forward, as Chara blocks them out. I'm not even sure he's aware Frisk is part of him.
If i had to nickname them indivually, it'd be Bullseye (Sans), Nyx (Chara), and Lilac (Frisk). In my other AUs that include Killer, he either goes by Bullseye or Nyx, depending on the events. Bullseye is what happens when Sans gets back control and tries to be himself again, Nyx is what happens when Chara completely overrides the control.

Spoiler: Boosters Tower
Is the only place in MarioRPG with mass production model weaponry, *AND* machines as monsters, that isn't related to Smithy in anyway.
Or is it?
Preface this with the idea that I think Booster is Wario, but they couldn't give him that name in game for various reasons, which I'm about to extrapolate on.
Booster is the seventh of his line, all of which look like knock-off Marios, and Booster himself looks suspiciously like the game's Final Boss. The "Seventh" is an important number here, because the title of the original MarioRPG was "Legend of the seven Stars". The star road didn't break into 7 pieces until the smithy gang broke it. But they broke it to take the wishes for themselves. And possibly for his son; Booster. (Unless Booster is secretly also Smithy, which is possible because after his section of the game, he vanishes mysteriously. And you never see Smithy and Booster in the same room together...)
Now, let's take a look at Boosters minions; The Snifits, Chainchomps, including one that won't follow orders but will join your team because Bowser asked. A LOT of Bob-ombs, and his two lieutenants :Knifeguy and GrateGuy.
I wanna take a second to point at GrateGuy specifically here; as a child, in those low-res claymation Mario days, he either looked like a guy sitting on a ball, several children in a trench coat, or as if his moving parts *was* the ball. And the legs were added to make him seem more human.
Possibly by Booster, possibly by somebody else who tried to make a machine look more human. Knife guy, by the way, carries around a large stock pile of mushrooms (most of which are moldy or mildewy or just rotten mush) explicitly for a game that he plays with Mario.
He's a very well paid servant who carries around rotting food to hand out as prizes. Which means hes incredibly evil, or that he doesn't understand what mold, mildew, and rot means. Like a Machine.
He's also dressed inhumanly, like a machine-made in a suit. And unlike a lot of other characters in the game, Knife Guy openly carries weapons. Not magician knives, real sharp, dangerous weapons. As if he doesn't know the inherent dangers of playing with knives.
Lastly, I'd like to point to Booster's toy collection. The only other time we see dolls like that in the game, aside from when the party is turned into them as a status effect. Is when Gaz is playing with them in Rose Town.
And the one Character who doesn't have a real(MarioRPG)-life counterpart is the Geno doll. Who gets outfitted with a finger shot. And the only other time we see a finger shot used in the game, is by smithy, the Weapon Lord himself.
Geno was a doll possessed by a being from StarRoad, who, in the Paper Mario series is often represented as tiny floating sentient stars who follow Mario around. Star Spirits, who are directly connected to the Star Pieces themselves. And the Star Kids.
Geno, is a Star Child. BTW. If you didn't know.
Using the Star roads magic, a star kid pilots the Geno Doll like a mech suit.
But why isn't this "Geno" character seen anywhere else in the Game where the dolls made represent real people?
Who does Geno represent? Does he represent anyone at all? Is he just an early prototype? Is he a Dollex or Puppox? Or, is he an early representation of Smithy himself?
