Spells from the Heart
Pairing: Tom Riddle x Fem!Muggle!Reader
Includes: mentions of war, memory loss, stalking, reader is naive, goes from third person to second, story is in Tom's p.o.v.
Word count: 1.2k
Summary: You come across something you shouldn't have, and Tom decides to keep you.
Passing through the war-wrecked streets of London, Tom made his way to his usual hiding spot where he could perform magic without being discovered.
It amused him to call it a hiding spot, because it was in fact a field, though — in all fairness — it was in the middle of the woods.
As Tom finally reached his destination, the smell of Earth surrounded him. He shut his eyes — a rare moment of vulnerability — and took in a deep breath, taking in the wet scent of soil and flowers with him.
He dropped his worn down satchel and discarded his coat on the ground. He sat atop his dark coat and grabbed an old book out of his bag. It was a book of spells that he was able to convince the Hogwarts librarian to let him borrow over summer break.
He scanned through the contents of the book, trying to decide on the first spell he would like to practice.
As a small bunny came into sight, Tom selected Vera Verto.
He stood up on his two feet and grasped his wand. He pointed it at the unsuspecting creature and whispered, “Vare-ah vore-toe,” pronouncing it as was written in the book.
Before his own two eyes, the bunny went from a living being to a goblet of water. Pride bubbled in Tom’s chest.
As he was about to mutter a spell to reverse it, a gasp from behind stopped him.
Clutching his wand, Tom turned around to find a girl around his age standing in shock from what she’d just witnessed. Like she’d come to her senses, she scrambled into a run.
Fortunately for Tom — but unfortunate for her — he was able to point his wand at her and yelled, “Kahr-pay ruh-track-tum.”
The girl was pulled towards Tom's chest, and with a grunt he wrapped an arm around her waist. She clawed at his arm like a feral animal and he had the urge to ask her to stop it.
With his free hand, Tom pointed his wand at the stranger again. “Obliviate,” passed through his lips and instantly her body went limp. He dropped her onto the damp grass.
Tom wasn’t sure when her consciousness would resurface, so he made quick work in putting his coat and satchel back on and stuffing his wand back in his pocket.
Before leaving, Tom looked down at the girl. Hair covered her face and Tom reached down to move it away. He noted that she was quite pretty.
After being caught using magic, Tom hadn’t visited the fields in a few days. But, his fingers twitched to grab onto his wand. To point it at something and mutter a spell. The children at Wool’s Orphanage got on Tom’s, but of course he couldn’t punish them for it like when he was a child.
Done with being reminded of his predicament, Tom finally decided to go on a walk. It led him to the edge of the woods anyways.
He couldn’t help but think of you as he walked. He hadn’t used a spell on a muggle for so long, and doing so left behind a certain thrill.
Tom stopped walking and squinted. A little ways away from him, he caught sight of a house. It was hidden behind several large trees, casting a darkness upon it and hiding it from view.
As Tom got nearer to one of the windows, he saw a glimpse of someone. You.
He ducked under the window, and thought of how much of a fool he must have looked. He certainly felt like one.
The walls were rather thin, Tom learned as he listened to her hum. He recognized the tune. “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire.” At times the song would play on the small radio during dinner time.
A few moments passed. In those few moments, Tom realized that you were home alone. You looked to be Tom’s age, and if he was right, that meant your parents weren’t home.
Tom walked up the steps to your front door and knocked. The humming stopped and Tom listened to the sound of hurried footsteps.
The door creaked open. You looked up at Tom with wide eyes. He supposed you were surprised. It was unlikely that many people visited your family much.
“Excuse me, Miss. If it’s no bother, I was hoping you could help me? I’ve seemed to have gotten lost.”
Your face relaxed as you took in Tom’s words. “Of course. Do you just need directions, or do you want to make a phone call to your parents? If you have a telephone, of course.”
Tom pretended to think for a moment. The latter would easily let him into your house. “Would you mind if I phoned my parents? They must be worried.” The lie slid off of Tom’s tongue like honey.
With a nod, you let Tom into the house.
Silly girl.
Tom followed you into a small living room. You pointed to the rotary dial resting atop the wooden table in front of the couch.
“I’ll wait in another room.” With that, you walked up the steps to what Tom assumed to be your bedroom. “I’ll be back in just a moment,” your distant voice called out.
Tom had no use for the telephone. Instead, he looked at what stood tall on the mantelpiece. It was the goblet he had created several days ago.
You must have been so confused when you awoke after being obliviated.
Tom picked up the cup and brought it closer to his face to inspect it. It was blue with carvings of seahorses and mermaids covering the upper half of it.
Tom placed the cup back to its rightful place. He’ll be kind and let you keep it.
Tom slowly walked up the steps, careful not to make the steps creak.
Once he reached the top, he scanned the three doors. One was yours, one your parents, and one the bathroom, he assumed.
Tom opened the first door. It was obviously not your parents, as the only way the bed could fit two people was if they crammed together. The sheets were pink, and books littered the vanity.
He picked one up. Pride and Prejudice. The copy looked like it had been well loved. He tucked it into his coat pocket.
He shut the door and proceeded to open the next one directly across from your room. Disappointingly, there was no sight of you in the small bathroom.
Tom shut the door again and walked towards the room at the end of the hall. He opened it up and saw you sitting on a chair, rummaging through a desk drawer.
You looked up in surprise as Tom entered, halting your movements.
Tom clasped his hands behind his back. “I just got off the phone with my father.”
You nod. “Um.. I’m just looking for my parents' map. I know they have one, and I thought I could give you directions to help you get back home.”
How sweet.
He walked over to where you sat, and took note of how your breathing quickened as he got nearer.
You would make a nice summer plaything. And the best part was you wouldn’t even remember.
a/n: that poor bunny stuck as a cup forever😭 Also, I loved going through the Harry Potter Spellbook to write this. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed! divider creds: @saradika

a really pukey, burpy, feverish aiden w oliver and issac as caretakers?
This one took forever😭
!TW! emeto
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Too fucking early,” Aiden grumbled at the sound of some Tears For Fears song Spirit helped him set as his ringtone. Lying on his stomach, face smushed against his pillow, he began reaching out blindly to his ringing phone. He grabbed it and tuned his head, having to squint hard since he wasn’t wearing his glasses and the screen was bright. ‘Dad ;)’ was the name displayed on the screen.
He yawned as he answered the call and put it on speaker. “Hey, pops. Whassup?”
“Are you still sleeping, son??” his dad asked, waaaaay too loud and energetic. Aiden winced and turned the volume down a bit.
“Mm-hmmm,” he hummed in response. “So what? It’s so early.”
“It’s past noon,” his dad told him. “Are you okay?”
Aiden groaned. “It is not past noon, dad. It’s. . .” he squinted harder at the corner of his screen trying to read the tiny numbers. When the fuzziness cleared up a bit, his eyes widened. “Shit, it’s 12:57?!” The surprise startled him so much that he tangled up in his blankets and lost his balance as he tried to sit up, only to yelp as he tumbled off the side of his bed. “Fuuuuck,” he groaned, earning a hearty laugh from his dad’s end of the call.
“I’ll let ya go, Aiden,” his dad said. “Don’t go back to sleep, please. And your mom wants you to come over tonight for dinner. Could ya? I know the drive is a pain, but we miss you, kid.”
Aiden used his bed to pull himself up and said, “Yeah yeah, sure. I’ll come, dad. Bye now.”
“Bye, Aiden. Love you.”
”Love you, too.” He ended the call and let out a heavy sigh. He grimaced now that he was awake and aware of the unhappy grumbling in his belly. He’d made the mistake enough times to know exactly what the issue was.
The day before, he’d been too tired from a full day of working out—trying some boxing and fighting classes that Spirit had recommended to him—that he fell asleep as soon as he got home and woke up exhausted and sore and starving. He didn’t give a shit about where he ate dinner. A Ci-Ci’s Pizza was where he found himself eating dinner at nine at night. He must’ve scarfed four slices of pizza, a basket of boneless wings, four of those powdered-sugar-covered brownies, and re-filled his cup 3 times with Pepsi.
He hated eating that unhealthy. Not because he didn’t enjoy the taste, but because of the gross feeling and awful aftermath.
Cramping and hugging his churning gut, Aiden made his way to his bathroom to sit on the toilet. It took at least twenty minutes before he felt empty and a bit lightheaded.
He flushed and immediately got in the shower, using warm water to was the sticky feeling of sweat away. He kept pressing a hand to his stomach and massaging, bringing up belches that did little to ease the tightness in his gut.
He got out of the shower, got dressed into some sweatpants and a loose hoodie, put on his glasses, and slowly made his way to his kitchen to search for Pepto or Tums or something.
He had nothing. No medicine besides cough drops.
He was thankful that there was a grocery store not to far from his apartment. He lazily slipped on some crocs and grabbed his keys and left his place.
It took everything in him to stay focused on the road instead of his stomach. He just wanted to take some medicine, and then go back to sleep.
He parked close to the front of the store and muffled a burp against his fist as he got out. Still, he felt awful. He was eating lettuce and water for the rest of the week, he told himself.
The store was surprisingly empty, which he was glad about because that meant there’d be basically no lines at the checkout area.
Aiden went to the medicine area of the store and began scanning the shelves for Pepto. He got it in tablet and liquid form. Now, all he had to do was get back home, take the nasty medicine, flop on his bed (or the couch cuz it’s closer), and go back to sleep.
He planted a hand on his stomach, biting the inside of his cheek. Maybe he’d visit the grocery store’s bathroom first.
“Aiden? Hey, man.”
The familiar voice snapped Aiden out of his own mind, and he turned his head enough to see Isaac coming down the aisle.
“Hey,” Aiden said, smiling and trying hard not to sound exhausted.
He must have failed because Isaac’s own smile faltered ever so slightly. The blonde noticed the medicine in his hands. “Are you sick?” he asked.
Aiden shrugged. “It’s just a stomachache,” he assured the blonde, lying. Then he couldn’t help but ask, “How’s Spirit?”
“She’s doing great. We’re just picking up some Tylenol and other things for her.”
Aiden raised a brow. “We?”
Isaac seemed like he was about to answer when someone else who wasn’t in the aisle suddenly yelled, “Would Spirit kill us if we brought cucumber Gatorade instead of the lemon-lime one?”
Isaac chuckled, yelling back, “She might kill me. You’re safe, even if it’s your fault.”
“Not my fault. It’s the store’s fault because it’s all they had.” A skinny and short black-haired boy entered the aisle, carrying an armful of cucumber Gatorade bottles. He was reading a small list as he came down the aisle. “Did you find the Tylenol? Because we just need chips, and that’s it. Unless we add something to this list ourselves.” He looked up then, and jumped slightly as he realized Aiden was also there, dropping one of the bottles.
Isaac couldn’t help but chuckle at the guy, and Aiden waved slightly.
“S-sorry,” the black-haired guy said, clearly embarrassed by his own jerkiness.
Isaac managed to stop laughing, but he was still smiling as he picked up the bottle and handed it back to the guy. “Olive, this is Aiden.”
Oliver smiled at him a bit, seeming a little shy. “Hi. I’m Oliver.”
“Nice to meet you.” Aiden put two and two together. “You must be friends with Spirit, too.”
Oliver seemed surprised by the observation. When he looked at Isaac with confusion, the blonde shrugged and stated, “He’s Spirit’s secret ‘friend’.” The way he said friend made Oliver’s eyes widen after a beat.
He looked at Aiden, and then back at Isaac. “Spirit’s dating someone??!!?” he exclaimed. “And you knew???!!!!”
“Well, we’re not ‘dating’ dating,” Aiden said, quite amused by the situation.
Oliver looked at him, still completely flabbergasted. “What does that mean?”
“Well. . . I guess. . .”
“They’re going out, but they’re not ‘official’ yet,” Isaac explained.
That explanation seemed to clear up some of Oliver’s confusion, but he still seemed shocked.
Oliver asked a question, but at that moment Aiden felt his stomach cramp and the felling made him dizzy, causing him to sway a bit. He steadied himself quickly, asking, “Sorry, can you repeat that?”
“I was wondering how long you’ve known Spirit,” Oliver repeated, now studying Aiden’s body language with his eyes. Isaac was doing the same, his smile slightly faltering.
“Oh.” Aiden wanted to get out of there. “Since before summer.” Scratch that. He needed to get out of there.
“Hey, are you sure you’re okay?” Isaac asked, noticing the way Aiden’s throat was bobbing.
Aiden nodded, but didn’t dare to open his mouth again. He felt his throat tickle.
That was the moment when Oliver also noticed the Pepto he was holding. “Are you gonna throw up?” he asked, seeming genuinely concerned and worried despite having just met him.
Aiden shook his head, jaw tense and willing his stomach to get into check. He brought a fist to his mouth, turning his head away from Isaac and Oliver as he let out a long burp muffled by his fist. He could faintly taste soda at the back of his throat.
His face burned as he lowered his fist, his embarrassment not exactly helping the feeling in his stomach. “Sorry about that. That was gross,” he mumbled, scratching the back of his neck. The store felt colder, somehow. Aiden wondered if this was more than just his stomach being upset over his dinner.
“Don’t worry ‘bout it,” Isaac said, seeming more concerned. “You sure you’re okay? You just went, like, three shades whiter.”
Aiden waved off his concern, shaking his head again, but this time doing so just made his head spin and had black spots appearing in his vision. He felt himself teeter to the side and braced himself against the shelves of medicine, knocking a few bottles and boxes over. Something was wrong.
“Shit,” Isaac cursed, stepping forward and grabbing Aiden’s shoulder. “So, clearly you’re not okay,” he assessed. The blonde’s hand found its way to his nape, and Isaac grimaced at the heat there. “You’re burning up.”
Aiden opened his mouth to say he was fine, but his stomach jolted and he doubled over. All that came out was another sickly burp, but that was warning enough for him to shut his mouth.
Isaac cursed again and started rummaging through his pocket with his free hand and pulled out a wallet. “Olive, c’mere.” Oliver walked over, and Isaac stuck his wallet in the guy’s pocket. He then grabbed a bottle of Tylenol that was right there on the shelf and handed that to Oliver, too. Then he took the Pepto from Aiden as well.
“Hey, what—?” Aiden started, but Isaac just told Oliver, “Go pay for the stuff. I’m gonna get him outside.”
Aiden felt his face burn, and he shook his head. “You don’t have to pay for—”
“It’s fine,” Isaac assured him. “You’re burning up, dude. Really, it’s no problem.” Isaac helped him stand up straight and kept an arm on his shoulder as they made their way to the front of the store.
By the time they got outside, Aiden felt like his head was dethatched from the rest of his body and he was fighting back another belch. Or maybe it was actual puke this time.
At the sidewalk, Aiden stopped and doubled over, letting the floodgates open and projectile vomiting onto the curb while Isaac kept a steadying hand on his shoulder.
Another large burp came up, followed by more puke. Aiden groaned as spit dangled from his lip. He spat onto the mess, but didn’t stand back up straight. He wasn’t done.
“This is a nasty bug,” Isaac sighed.
Aiden didn’t look up at him as he said, “Thanks for helping.”
Isaac squeezed his shoulder a bit. “You don’t need to thank me. I’m doing this for my own benefit as much as yours. Spirit would probably kill me if she ever found out I just left you to basically die.”
Aiden chuckled. “Mmm’not dying.”
Isaac shrugged. “Considering what I’m looking at right now, agree to disagree.”
Aiden couldn’t help but smirk a bit, but that small smile fell away as his stomach revolted again and another heavy stream of vomit came up, splattering on concrete and the tips of his shoes. Aiden was left breathless afterwards, panting and squeezing his eyes shut as his head spun.
And how the hell had it suddenly gotten colder?!
Aiden had no idea how long he was bent over and heaving, but before long, he heard Oliver’s voice again.
He was too dizzy to listen as Isaac and Oliver exchanged a few words. Aiden heard the jingling of keys, and then Isaac asked him something.
“Hmm?”
“I said, can you give me your keys?” The blonde repeated. “There’s no way you can drive like this.”
Aiden knew he was right, so he reached into his hoodie pocket and handed the keys to Isaac, finally standing up straight but keeping an arm around his gut. He looked at Oliver and put on a queasy grin. “This isn’t exactly how I imagined I’d meet another one of Spirit’s friends.”
Oliver chuckled at that, reaching into one of the bags he was holding and taking out the Pepto. “I’m just glad that I know that Sprit’s dating-not-dating someone,” Oliver shrugged, handing the medicine to Aiden. “I’m gonna bring her this stuff. I’m glad we met.”
Aiden laughed a little as he took the medicine and put it in his pocket. “Tell her I said hi.”
“Will do,” Oliver said before looking at Isaac. “Just text me your location when you want me to pick you up.”
Isaac nodded, and Oliver walked away.
“Okay, let’s get you home, big guy,” Isaac said, patting Aiden’s back.
Aiden raised a brow. “Big guy?”
“Are you gonna say I’m wrong? You’re, like, ten feet tall.”
Aiden let out a little snort. “I’m only 6’4’’,” he said.
Isaac scoffed. “Only?! You’re a giant. I rest my case, big guy.”
When they found Aiden’s car, Isaac seemed genuinely surprised by the sky-blue BMW. “I honestly pegged you for a pickup-truck or Wrangler kind of guy,” Isaac said as he got into the driver seat.
Aiden chuckled, reaching for his glove compartment and pulling out some grocery bags, causing Isaac to raise a brow at him while pulling out. “You get carsick?”
“No. I’m just still queasy,” Aiden answered, reclining his seat and closing his eyes. “My address is the first one saved in my car’s GPS.
Isaac touched the car screen, and Aiden took deep breaths to push down the nausea.
By the time the car came to a stop at his building, he could feel another bout of sick rising up his throat, and he threw open the car door to puke onto the ground.
“Damn, I’m sorry you’re feeling so crappy,” Isaac said sympathetically, holding Aiden by the shoulder to keep him from falling out.
Aiden gagged a few more times, bringing up little painful burps that made him flush with embarrassment. Then he sat up, undoing his seatbelt. “I’m empty,” he stated.
“Good,” Isaac sighed, sounding relieved.
“Thanks for the help,” Aiden said to Isaac gratefully.
The blonde nodded, getting out of the car with Aiden. “Which floor?”
“The second.”
They made their way up to Aiden’s apartment. Since Isaac still had Aiden’s keys, he unlocked the door so they could both go in.
Aiden grabbed a water bottle from his fridge and went straight to his couch, too exhausted to go all the way to his bedroom. He took the Pepto out of his pocket and started pouring some of the liquid into the cap while Isaac left his keys on the counter before making his way over.
“You gonna be okay if I leave?” Isaac asked. “You’re not gonna die?”
Aiden chuckled before downing the shot of medicine, grimacing at the taste and washing it down with the water. “I’ll be fine,” he assured the blonde. “I just need to sleep this off.”
Isaac nodded. “Okay. I found a marker on your counter and I wrote my number on a napkin, so just text me or something if you need anything. Okay?”
Aiden smiled and nodded. “Okay. Thanks, man.”
Just then, Isaac’s phone chimed in his pocket and he pulled it out. “Oliver’s outside,” he said. “You live surprisingly close to me, so don’t hesitate to call if you need anything.”
“I will,” Aiden assured him. “Thanks. And I’ll pay you back for—”
“No, you won’t,” Isaac stated. Then he smiled softer. “Consider it a thanks for being someone Spirit feels comfortable and relaxed with. It’s a bigger deal than you think it is.”
Aiden felt his smile fade a bit, wondering what Isaac meant by that.
“Get better and don’t die!” The blonde said as he left.
Exhausted, Aiden laid on his side on the couch, fishing his phone out of his pocket and texting his parents that he wasn’t feeling well and would come to dinner tomorrow.
As soon as he pressed send, another text came in. . . from Spirit. Two more followed.
He opened her messages and laughed.
Spirit🔥: So, I heard you met Oliver. First things first, he told me that ur sick and Isaac had to take you home??? Are you okay??
Spirit🔥: Second, Isaac is grounded for letting Oliver get me f-ing cucumber Gatorade.🤮🥒.
Spirit🔥: Third, call me if you’re up to it. I hope you feel better.
Aiden smiled at her messages, sending back a quick, ‘I’ll feel better after I take a nap. We can call later, I promise.’
He was almost about to also type ‘I love you’, but he stopped himself. He knew neither he nor Spirit were ready for that just yet.
Instead, he just texted, ‘Can’t wait to chat after my hibernation’ and put his phone away so he could go back to sleep.

Dil me Chupa Lunga (slowed+ reverb)
POV: Leander sings dil me chupa lunga for you, only for you... is he trying to tell you something?
"Leander, stop looking at me with those eyes"
"What eyes?"
The boisterous crowd of the bar dissolves into the background, their laughter and conversations blurring into a distant hum.
"Aase na mujhe tum dekho,
(Don't look at me like this)
Seene se laga lunga...
(Or else I'll embrace you )
Tum ko main chura lunga tumse,
(I will steal you from your own self )
Dil mein chupa lunga..."
(And I will hide you in my heart )
As you two lean closer, his gaze lingers on you with a longing he no longer bothers to conceal.
He blames the alcohol, but deep down, he knows it's the unspoken desires he can no longer contain.
You aren't oblivious; your instincts scream at you to flee, yet you stay.... sickly delighted by the ravenous hunger in his eyes ... for you, only for you..
When was the last time someone both revered you and sought to claim you entirely, to make you irrevocably his?

“La da da tum tum!~”
You hummed softly as your nimble fingers danced gracefully across the piano keys. Cater, one of your students, raised his hand, a hint of curiosity in his voice, "Um, Teacher? Don't most songs have lyrics?"
A gentle chuckle escaped your lips as you swiveled around in your chair, facing your attentive students. With a playful twinkle in your eyes, you stood up and positioned yourself in front of them, ready to share your wisdom. "Patience, my darlings," you said, your voice carrying a soothing tone. "When it comes to crafting a song, one must first discover the melody before finding the perfect words to accompany it."
With chalk in hand, you approached the whiteboard, ready to visually depict the melody for your students to review. Carefully, you began to trace the notes, forming the musical arrangement before their eyes. "Now, who would like to lend their voice to this tune?" you asked, turning your gaze towards the eager faces before you. Kalim's hand shot up, his enthusiasm contagious. "Ooh! Oh! Pick me, please!" he exclaimed, waving his hand excitedly. You chuckled warmly, acknowledging his enthusiasm. "Alright, Mr. Al Asim, the stage is yours," you declared, giving him the opportunity to showcase his singing prowess. Kalim confidently sang the melody displayed on the board, albeit with minor mistakes, yet his performance remained commendable. A wide grin spread across your face as you applauded him wholeheartedly. "Very well done, Mr. Al Asim!" you praised, clapping your hands in appreciation. Kalim beamed with pride, returning to his seat with a renewed sense of accomplishment.
"Now, I want all of you to come together and sing the tune as a group," you commanded, settling back into your seat beside the piano. The students rose from their seats, eager to join their voices in unison. You nodded in approval and began playing the melody on the piano, setting the rhythm for their collective performance. As the harmonious notes filled the air, you swayed your head in time with the beat, fully immersed in the melodic symphony produced by your students.
However, amidst the musical bliss, your attention was momentarily drawn to the classroom door. Your gaze locked with that of a familiar figure, Divus Crewel. He stood outside, engaging in conversation with other students. It was apparent that he was in his element, employing his signature stern expressions and wielding his pointer with a sharp smack against his hand, imparting discipline in his own unique way.
You let out a frustrated sigh and abruptly stopped playing, rising from your seat with determination. "Hold on a moment, children," you said, making your way out of the classroom and standing directly in front of the door. With hands firmly planted on your hips, you called out in a playful yet assertive manner, "Oh, yoohoo! Mr. Crewel!" The sound of his name being called caught his attention, causing him to halt his scolding. A sigh escaped his lips as he turned around to face you, his expression tinged with annoyance. "May I help you?" he retorted.
"Leave those poor students alone, you little devil," you retorted back, standing your ground. "I'm quite certain whatever they did does not warrant your cruel scolding." The students beside Crewel glanced between him and you, sensing an opportunity to escape. Seizing the moment, they quickly made their getaway, fleeing the scene. Crewel glanced at the departing students and then glared back at you. "And how would you know? You weren't the one observing them," he hissed with a sharp tone. "Misbehaving pups deserve to be disciplined," he added, forcefully smacking his pointer against his hand in frustration.
"Oh, you and your ‘puppy’ talk," you responded, rolling your eyes playfully. "Whatever, Mr. Crewel. Run along now before I decide to scold you," you teased, playfully dismissing him as you turned and walked back into your classroom, leaving Crewel to contemplate his next move.
After reentering the classroom, you felt the weight of all eyes on you. "My apologies for the sudden disruption, students. Now, let's get back to our lesson," you sincerely apologized, settling back into your seat. Resuming your position at the piano, you resumed playing the rhythmic accompaniment as the students resumed singing the song in unison.
As the familiar melody filled the room, a spark of inspiration ignited within you. A creative idea began to take shape in your mind. "Crewel... and Devil..." you muttered to yourself, contemplating the connection between the words. Your eyes widened with excitement as the idea fully flourished in your thoughts. Unable to contain your enthusiasm, you exclaimed, "That's it!" The students looked at you with a mixture of confusion and curiosity, intrigued by your sudden outburst.
“Crewel De Vil!~ Crewel De Vil!
If he doesn’t scare you, no evil thing will!
To see him is to take a sudden chill!
Crewel Crewel!
He’s a like a spider waiting for the kill!
Look out for Crewel De Vil!~”
You sang out with passion, playing the lively tune on the piano. "You see, students! Once you've got the melody down, the lyrics come to you!" you exclaimed, filled with excitement. The students chattered among themselves, giggling at the humorous lyrics you composed about your workmate. Snap! You snapped your fingers, and the piano continued playing on its own, providing a lively background.
With a spring in your step, you walked around the room, visiting each student in turn, weaving creative lyrics as you went along:
"At first, you think Crewel is the devil
But after time has worn away the shock
You’ve come to realize you’ve seen his kinda of eyes
Watching you from underneath a rock!"
You continued on, adding playful lines for each student, capturing their unique personalities and quirks. The room filled with laughter and delight as the impromptu song unfolded, making the learning experience all the more enjoyable.
“This vampire bat, this inhuman beast
He ought to be locked up and never released
The world was such a wholesome place until
Crewel, Crewel De Vil!~”
As the song came to an end, you returned to your seat next to the piano, gently stopping the keys from playing themselves. Malleus offered a compliment, appreciating the amusing nature of the song. "Why, thank you, Mr. Draconia," you responded with a contented smile. The positive feedback continued as Cater enthusiastically chimed in, praising the catchiness and ease of learning the song. He even hummed it with joy. The rest of the students eagerly shared their compliments and expressed their opinions on the song, creating a cheerful atmosphere within the classroom.
"Alright, settle down, children!" you called out, seeking their attention. "I'm thrilled to hear that you appreciate the song! Now, for your homework, I want each of you to create your own tune and share it with the class," you instructed, fostering their creativity and encouraging their musical abilities. The students nodded eagerly, ready to embark on their own musical adventures.
As the day drew to a close and the students had departed for their respective dorms, you gathered your belongings and stepped out of the classroom. To your delight, you were greeted by the familiar face of Crewel, who had become your beloved fiancé. A playful smirk adorned your lips as you acknowledged his presence. "Oh, Crewel, what a pleasant surprise," you remarked, teasingly.
Crewel chuckled in response, his handsome features lighting up. "Is it truly a surprise anymore? I come to pick you up every day, darling," he quipped, his voice carrying a hint of amusement.
"Well, it still feels like a surprise because I get to lay my eyes on this devilishly handsome face of yours," you cooed affectionately, planting a gentle peck on his cheek. He rolled his eyes playfully and offered his arm for you to hold onto. With a joyful smile, you gladly accepted his gesture, intertwining your arm with his as the two of you walked together, ready to embark on the next chapter of your day.
“I heard the most strangest thing today. I heard some students singing a song about me today.” Crewel says causing you to raise your eyebrow at him curiously. You raise an eyebrow at Crewel, intrigued by his words. His revelation about the students singing a song captures your attention. As he continues, you can't help but stifle a chuckle, trying to suppress your amusement. "Oh, really? Singing a song about you?" you respond, feigning innocence.
Crewel's suspicion grows evident as he locks his gaze onto you, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. "If I recall correctly," he muses, "the lyrics they were singing referred to me as... what was it again? Ah, yes. A devil." He stops in his tracks, turning towards you and leaning in closer. With a playful smirk adorning his face, he challenges you, "Now, where have I heard that peculiar word being associated with me before?"
You meet his gaze, your eyes dancing with mischief. "Oh, darling, it must be a mere coincidence," you reply, barely containing your laughter. "After all, who would ever think of calling you a devil? It's simply preposterous, isn't it?" You say continuing to play innocent.
As Crewel cups your chin and forces you to meet his intense gaze, you feel a surge of both anticipation and intrigue. His thumb delicately brushes against your lip, causing a subtle shiver to run down your spine. The room suddenly feels charged with his presence.
His hands sneak around your waist, drawing you closer to him. You can feel his warm breath tickling your ear as he leans in, his voice low and intimate. The proximity of his body and the intimacy of his touch sends a wave of excitement through you.
"Now, you know I don't appreciate dishonesty, darling," he whispers, his words tinged with a mixture of seduction and warning. The closeness of his voice against your ear sends a shiver down your spine, causing your heart to race.
“Liars get punished.”
In that moment, the playful banter is replaced by a charged tension, and you find yourself caught up in the intensity of the moment. The world around you fades away, leaving only the magnetic connection between the two of you.
His words were enough to make your imagination run wild. A low chuckle escape Crewel lips, as he lets go of you leaving you a blushing mess. “Guess, we’ll have to wait until we get home to see if your telling the truth or not my dear.” He says now laughing.
“Besides the best song you could ever sing for me is when you are in bed.”

what Bollywood songs remind you of rafayel? theres this sea god rafayel edit to titli from Chennai express amd i always think of him when i listen to it 😭
i think i've seen that edit! i love that song but very honestly i don't associate it with rafayel. and there's lots of songs including that one that i associate with others (cough levi cough) more just because that association was first.
my playlist for my story has a lot of songs i associate with him—with all three of them, but that includes him ofc.
and just off the top of my head: dastaan-e-om (om shanti om), tujhe bhula diya (anjaana anjaani), pani da rang (vicky donor), dil dooba (khakee), jee karda (badlapur), tujh mein rab dikhta hai (rab ne bana di jodi), mere dil vich (hum tum), dil vich lagya ve (chup chup ke), dus bahane (dus), discowale khisko (dil bole hadippa), suraj hua maddham (kabhi kushi kabhi gham), guzarish (ghajini), khuda jaane (bachna ae haseeno)

Love English music all you want, but NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING, hits harder than desi music. Like every single singer has their own trademark genre which they can execute PERFECTLY??
Can we talk about Arijit’s Mai gehra tamas tu sunehra sawera main tera in Kalank?
or his Tum sath ho ya na ho kya fark hai, bedard thi zindagi bedard hai in Agar tum sath ho?
or Tujh sang sukhi roti bhaye in Mast Magan? Ok leave that.
Lets talk about Atif’s Khayalon me lakho baaten yun toh keh gaya, bola kuch na tere saamne in Tu jaane na?
or Rafta rafta tera hua, tere bin mai hu benishan in Tera hua?
or Tenu lakhan ton chhupa ke rakhaan akkhaan te sajaa ke tu ae meri wafaa, rakh apna bana ke main tere layi aan yaara in Dil Diyan Gallan? Ok leave that
Let's talk about KK's Chaand Teri roshni ka halka sa ek saaya hai in Ajab Si?
Or dil kyun yeh mera shor kare, idhar nahi udhar nahi teri orr chale in Dil Kyu Yeh Mera?
Or lut Gaye hum teri mohabbat me in Tadap Tadap? Ok leave that.
Let's talk about Jubin Nautiyal's tum se jo mil gaye, Mausam khil gaye, khudse ladne Lage hum sawarne lage in sawarne lage?
Or Mausam mohabbaton ke, lamhe ye chahaton ke apne liya bane hai maan le in Gazab ka hai din?
Or tere bina main na rahu mere bina tu in raatan lambiyan? Fine, leave that as well.
Lets talk about Shreya Ghoshal's kaise huzurji ye lab dikhlaaye, chuppi lagake bhi gazab hai yeh dhaye in saibo.
Or Ye ishq haaye baithe bithaaye jannat dikhaye hain in ye ishq?
Or Dil bharta nahi, aankhen rajjti nahi, chaahe kitna bhi dekhti jaaun, waqt jaaye main rok na paaun in Thodi Der?
And DO NOT get me started on Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata Ji, Asha ji and Sonu Nigam. Desi songs are peak lyrics, romance, emotion and vocals. You're straight up wrong if you think ANYTHING can beat that. I love Taylor, 1D and all, but Hindi songs? Absolutely unmatched!
Comment/reblog you favourite lyrics below!
