Oisko pitänyt ottaa juomapeli, jossa otetaan huikka aina kun mainitaan Bolsunovin nousu. Tuntuu että sitä viljellään ihan huolella selostajien toimesta

Sokru huikka sokerinmakuinen juoma (Sugah sip sugar flavoured beverage) I didn’t mean to base this on any real product, I just combined words that made it sound hip and unhealthy. First two words are spoken Finnish, it’s usually not used in product names unless they’re marketed towards teens and children. Usually beverages like this have a fruit or berry word on them instead of just plain sugar, to give an idea what it’s trying to taste like, such as ’mansikanmakuinen juoma’ (lit. beverage that tastes like strawberry). This way the product is not legally bound to have any amount of real fruit in it, it can be (and probably is) just water, sugar, and additives. So, this fake beverage doesn’t even have to have ”real sugar” in it, it only claims to taste like it has some.

When I read this comic the first time I thought the handisnak was some sort of box with bread slices and the spread box had cheese slices in it. I wonder if that’s a cultural thing, seeing three item combination snack made me think of the basic snack you get from school when going on a school trip to a forest or other outdoor place; a juice box (2dl carton box with a tiny straw), a sandwich (white bread roll, butter, a slice of ham or cheese, and cucumber), and a fruit (apple or banana). The nutritional value is slightly better than in Asgore’s lunch just because there’s real fruit involved and somewhat less sugar and salt. Anyway, as far as I know we don’t have this product in Finland. With crackers and related products the labelling goes half-and-half with either having the brand name clear and visible (mostly foreign brands), or a descriptive name in Finnish that tells you instantly what’s inside. Original comic doesn’t have the brand visible and you need to get what’s inside to get the joke, so I went with descriptive ones (they are literally ’spread’ and ’salt crackers’).

Hedelmäremmi (Fruit strap) ’Remmi’ candy is heavily elementary school disco related to my generation. Disco nights were held at school every once in a while to fundraise for school trips, they always sold different flavours of ’remmi’ and some homemade ’mokkapala’(*) there. I’m not sure if it still has the same associations to the kids these days, at least I’ve seen them available in some ’irtokarkki’ sections. I googled this and it doesn’t seem to be a real product, ’remmi’ usually have the name of the specific fruit or berry they’re supposed to taste like in their name.

’Kotilo’ (snail, it has the word ’koti’[home] in it) and ’etana’(slug) have this thing going on that at least British English seems to have with ’turtle’ and ’tortoise’; people tend to call both cases ’etana’ even though that word should only mean the animal that doesn’t carry a habitable house on it. ’Etana’ is the one that shows up in sayings and nursery rhymes such as ’hidas kuin etana’(Slow as a slug), and ’Etana, etana, näytä sarves, onko huomenna pouta?’ (Slug, slug, show your horns, is tomorrow rainless?, if the eye antennas extend out there’ll be no rain the next day). The illustrations and pictures to them usually still have snails in them. Maybe it’s because the swirly home makes snails cuter than slugs and easier to notice in the wild, and ’etana’ has easier to pronounce vowel combination in it, unfortunately I haven’t found any studies on this.

(*)a type of mocha brownie that’s very popular in Finland, here’s one recipe in English. I don’t know why they mix the icing in a pan and give it cold baths, the Finnish recipes I’ve seen just first mix the dry stuff properly in a bowl and then add coffee and melted butter until it’s syrupy, no need to make stuff too complicated.

1358. Kirin Brewery Company Ichiban  (Ichiban Shibori) (5,0%, 0,33l pullo)

Viikonlopun korkkaan käyntiin Prismasta peräisin olevalla japanilaisella makrolagerilla. Lohikäärme-etiketillä varustetusta pullosta kaatuu lasiin kirkkaan kultaista lageria melko runsaalla ja kuohkealla valkoisella vaahdolla. Tuoksu on makeahkon viljaisen maltainen ja suutuntuma yllättävänkin kipakan hapokas. Maku on aika yksiulotteinen ja suoraviivainen ja tarjoaa lähinnä makeahkoa viljaista maltaisuutta sekä hitusen ruohoista humalaa, mutta myös melko selkeän metallisen vivahteen. Jälkimaku on kuiva, mikä on minusta lagerissa ihan hyvä ominaisuus - tuleepahan otettua seuraavakin huikka! Menee sarjaan “vetotuotteet”. Jokin tässä tosin omalla kohdallani meinaa vähän tökkiä. ehkä se on tämä makeuden ja kuivuuden yhdistelmä. Ei taida tulla ostettua uudestaan.

Oon tottunu peruskoulus siihen et jos joku osottaa mitään kiinnostusta mua kohtaan tai yrittää iskeä tai kehua, niin se on joko haastettu tekee se tai se tekee sen läpällä. (Fiilaan muuten ihan vitusti toteamusta “Ainut asia joka on lähennellyt minua viime aikoina on suihkuverho .”)

Ja ny ku kävelin kukkamultaostoksilta autolle, joku vanha ukko kaveriporukastaan huikkas mulle “Hei söpöläinen” ja alko avautuun kavereilleen, kun en reagoinu mitenkään.

Siis joo, en ois reagoinu vaikka oisin tajunnu et se on mulle osotettu, koska ei ihmisille kuulu huudella kadulla mitä vittua?!

Mut vittu et kertoo muuten paljon mun itsetunnosta ku olin 100% varma et se oli sanomassa sitä ennemmin jollekin äijäkaverilleen ku mulle :D

1159. Hiisi / One Pint / Pien Gosebump (5,5%, 0,33l pullo)

Maisteltavana tällä kertaa Pien-olutkaupasta/baarista ostamani Hiisi panimon sekä One Pint -baarin ja Pien-olutkaupan yhteistyönä syntynyt hapanolut, jonka suorastaan saatanallinen etiketin kuvasto kiinnitti huomioni. Odota innolla tämän maistamista!

Olut kaatuu lasiin utuisen hailakanoranssina ja hyvin niukan, pienikuplaisen ja valkoisen vaahdon kera. Tuoksussa on vadelmaa ja passionhedelmää, kuten etiketti lupasikin. Suutuntuma on todella hapokas ja kirpeä! Maku on raikkaan sitrushappoinen, vadelmainen ja passionhedelmäinen - erittäin toimiva yhdistelmä, jossa hapokas vadelma ja sitruuna saavat pehmennystä passionhedelmästä. Tekee välittömästi mieli ottaa uusi huikka. Onnistuu olemaan erinomaisen juotava ja maukas samanaikaisesti - toisaalta on myönnettävä, että kovin moniulotteiselle tasolle maku ei yllä, mutta kyllä tätä kiskoisi lämpimänä kesäiltana terassilla tuopin jos toisenkin! Ehdoton suositus tälle.
