my general issue with social media/tumblr is that people are both wayyy too familiar with strangers and also immediately jump to worst-case bad-faith assumptions. sometimes people are just doing their own thing and they’re not going to account for every possible interpretation of their words because their intended audience is people they already know to some extent. 90% of my posts are intended for either just me or me and people i consider my friends or close mutuals/acquaintances. if you, as someone who doesn’t fit into those demographics, come onto my posts insulting or talking down to me, i am going to get annoyed i don’t know you. why are you being needlessly rude? idk i don’t think it’s a big ask to expect people to be like. polite when engaging with strangers online.

I was watching a video on sigma males because I started watching cr1tikal again and we all he loves those and truth be told I just wanted to see my guy Patty B. but I instead got to see Michael my good friend Michael from the hit show Prison Break from 2010 or something and I did not only get whiplash because who the fuck remembers prison break in 2023 aside from me when I get a vision and start ranting about T-Bag again as a good autistic man with a special interest should but also just the fact of framing Michael as a sigma is FAIR but at the same, is curious like...

I’ll never understand why people who watch subs put themselves on a pedestal. You aren’t better then everyone else for watching subbed.

Yes a lot of studios mess it up. But a lot of studios do well. And for the ones that mess it up. It upsets us cause we know they mess up the plot and characterizations.

And honestly can we stop shaming people for wanting to Watch something in a language they understand.

Like seriously. At the end of the day it’s not that big of a deal. Bullying someone is ridiculous and ducked up. Someone I know used to talk shit about dubbed watchers all the time. And another called dubbed watchers retards.

Just for watching Dubbed. Get off your pedestal that lives on a high horse. You are not special. We all just have different tastes. And I’m sick and tired of the attitude.

And that’s not even getting into the ableist side of y’alls behaviour. Most people with ADHD or other learning disabilities can’t watch subbed. At all. And even people who know why have mocked and shamed me as if it’s my fault I have learning disabilities.

End of the day. We all love anime and if I see you mocking someone for watching dubbed or trying to make them feel like shit for it I’m gonna send pigeons to shit on you

There is no "other" or "I like both equally!" or "I don't watch anime/kdramas/anything in a language I don't understand/etc", pick one or leave

If you were made to feel like crap eight times out of ten when with that former friend, it doesn't negate the 20% that was good. It's okay to miss those feelings and good moments without missing the person themselves. And it's freeing to realize this.

You don't have to be twisted into someone you don't recognize or someone you hate. There are better, healthier friendships out there.

You are Not Helping! At all! You are not giving advice on how you can avoid x attack or block y wave, you are not giving strategies on what works best against a certain enemy, you are certainly not telling them what part of their strategies or tactics or equipment they need to improve on, you get the point.

You could argue that you are telling people to practice to get better, and sometimes you may be right.
