my general issue with social media/tumblr is that people are both wayyy too familiar with strangers and also immediately jump to worst-case bad-faith assumptions. sometimes people are just doing their own thing and they’re not going to account for every possible interpretation of their words because their intended audience is people they already know to some extent. 90% of my posts are intended for either just me or me and people i consider my friends or close mutuals/acquaintances. if you, as someone who doesn’t fit into those demographics, come onto my posts insulting or talking down to me, i am going to get annoyed i don’t know you. why are you being needlessly rude? idk i don’t think it’s a big ask to expect people to be like. polite when engaging with strangers online.

I’ll never understand why people who watch subs put themselves on a pedestal. You aren’t better then everyone else for watching subbed.

Yes a lot of studios mess it up. But a lot of studios do well. And for the ones that mess it up. It upsets us cause we know they mess up the plot and characterizations.

And honestly can we stop shaming people for wanting to Watch something in a language they understand.

Like seriously. At the end of the day it’s not that big of a deal. Bullying someone is ridiculous and ducked up. Someone I know used to talk shit about dubbed watchers all the time. And another called dubbed watchers retards.

Just for watching Dubbed. Get off your pedestal that lives on a high horse. You are not special. We all just have different tastes. And I’m sick and tired of the attitude.

And that’s not even getting into the ableist side of y’alls behaviour. Most people with ADHD or other learning disabilities can’t watch subbed. At all. And even people who know why have mocked and shamed me as if it’s my fault I have learning disabilities.
