Tumblr media
(Some of the other members of Raaf's tribe. I'll be updating this with new character refs as I complete them.)
Corvocon members:
Huraab:
Tumblr media
A drone with burns across his body from escaping the corvo mountains. He's strong and stoic preferring to keep to himself. Huraab is still kind and enjoys teaching the younger muds about the underground tunnels and various minerals he finds in his work.
Klemokk:
Klem is one of the younger members of the clan, apprenticed under Droom he is a leatherworker learning how to make various types of clothing for his peers. When there is downtime, the two of them fish in the swamps. Klemokk enjoys releasing what he finds and like to flip rocks in the waterway to see new critters hiding underneath.
Like Raaf, he hatched after the tribe fled their homeland and has no memory of the event. Klem has crippling claustrophobia and does not join Raaf on his caving adventures. He does tag along with Raaf everywhere else and is happy to hang out with the sligs.
Droom:
A tribal Elder, Droom should be relaxing and teaching the young. Instead he is busy like many of the others preserving what he can remember from the old settlement in the mountains. He sails up and down the river fishing from morning to midday then returns to the village to mentor Klem among others on leatherworking. Though he is exausted and can be snippy as a result, Droom is proud of Klem's progress and hopeful about the future.
To his disdain, Droom is one of the stronger members of the clan so he ends up doing a lot of backbreaking work. He complains a lot and is regularly pretty cranking, most of the younger muds avoid him. Serk and Noft are close friends of his.
Queen Rokkri:
Queen Rokkri is a mysterious and illusive leader hidden deep in the heart of the forest. Only a select few know know her whereabouts: Vitur, Noft, and her daughter Nurani. The Shamans transport her eggs and provide updates on the clan and on spiritual happenings in the forest. Nurani delivers her orders to the corvo and represents Queen Rokkri in diplomatic meetings with neighboring tribes.
Unlike her daughter, Rokkri is authoritative and decisive. She is less domineering than Queen Lealue of the Maokon but shares her peers traditional views on keeping the tribes sepperate. If she could she would maintain the old ways just as religiously as the maokon but moving her tribe from a mountainous environment into a hostile swampland has made that all but impossible. Anymore she mostly fallows the advice of the shamans and hopes to keep her clan hidden as long as possible. Possibly forever if need be.
She is proud of her daughter and does her best to comfort and guide Nurani as much as she can.
Huemo:
Tumblr media
A young drone with a hot temper and pent up energy to burn. He loves to hunt and has the scars to prove it. Huemo is a talented warrior who trains the younger members of the clan to hunt and fight. If the Corvokon had the numbers to wage an all out war he would gladly lead them. Huemo gets along great with the maokon and admires their fighting spirit. He has even gone on Elum hunts with them to gather large game for his clan. He has moderately good aim with a bow but prefers throwing hatchets.
In his off time, Huemo gathers wood and helps build huts for the village. Huemo was engaged to Nurani relatively young and the two are very close. He is scared but excited to become a dad.
Huidi:
A young sailor of the clan, Huidi is one of the few mudokons skilled enough to sail out into the open ocean. He gathers large game for the tribe and loves the salty air of the sea. In his off-time Huidi farms and forages alongside Sterk. Huraab and the other mine workers will join Huidi on his fishing expeditions during sark spawn season.
Huidi is talkative at parties, loves to drink maokon wyne, and is a frequent customer at Jarta's establishment. He talks to everyone and is a great source of news on the happenings of the rainforest.
Sterk:
An elder who barely survived the escape from the mountain seige, Sterk was key in getting the younger mudokons like Jarta out of the burning village. He and Asibatu trained Jarta in cooking and foodprep along with farming and foraging. Sterk as a green thumb and an encyclopedic memory for the plants of the forests and mountains. He sometimes accompanies Vitur in tracking down medicinal herbs.
Sterk lost his mate in the fire and has an intense fear of open uncontrolled flame. He is meticulous about cooking and safety, but much of his teaching is through written documentation instead of hands on. He snapped at Jarta a lot for forgetting steps while training the young mud. Jarta has a most of the clans traditional recipes written down but only has to read them once to remember most of the instructions. Sterk is sad and soured by life seldom finding reason to keep going let alone be kind to others. Despite Jarta's prowess as the best cheff in the village, thanks to Sterk's hostile teaching, the two have a terrible relationship and Jarta is very insecure about his work.
Queen daughter Nurani:
Nurani is soft spoken and shy, she really struggles with her role as a public speaker and diplomat. She is shy arround the sligs and maokon, their lifestyles are vastly different from the corvo but fascinating at the same time. Though she is only truly comfortable arround the corvokon she still tries her best to be respectful and understanding towards the other tribes.
Nurani is very stressed about her future role as Queen Mother and works hard to live up to the title. She is happily engaged to Huemo and, unbeknownst to the queens, would like to add a maokon drone to the mix.

The Hue System
The Hue System (Name is pending) is one of the planetary systems in the Merriway, named after the creatures who created it, the Hueminns.
The Hueminns are 12 Dreamons from MerreM gifted with powers of creation and each representing a different hue and dream type. With permission from Merrilee they claimed a series of worlds to serve as their personal workshops where they could explore the limits of their power and inspiration.
While the Hueminn’s would technically be considered gods on this system they are very hands off. The twelve do not seek to maintain any sort of strict control over their creations nor do they seek anything like worship (though they do appreciate a little praise, but what artist doesnt?) Rather they tend to travel to other places across the universe seeking inspiration so they can return to their ‘studios’ and create more.
Each world has a main group of ‘attendants’ that are basically tasked with caring for their world. However, they have the freedom to design their own civilization such as government and laws. The attendants do naturally tend to build their culture around the values of their creators. For example, the attendants of Chartrand’s world would most likely possess a very laissez-faire style of government if not pure anarchy as Chartrand tends to be the type to be a major hedonist who does as he likes. Emotional Theory in the Stock Market
Human Emotion theory (HUEMO) in the stock market concerns the analysis of psychological factors affecting stock prices and causing shifts in entire stock markets. Emotional theory flies in the face of traditional stock analysis techniques, which rely on technical and fundamental valuations to determine the optimal price levels for specific stocks.
Tumblr media
Emotional Theory
Traditional stock market theories rely on the assumption that stock traders make decisions in a completely rational and objective manner, while taking time to synthesize all available information. The core of HUEMO theory is the realization that this assumption is unreliable in the real world. Stock traders make decisions based on psychological factors, including emotions, and may place undue weight on specific information at the expense of other relevant data. Different emotional states can have unpredictable effects on decision-making at different times. Mood can have an impact on cognitive performance and expectations, while factors such as a series of gains or losses can have an effect on traders' risk-aversion and expectations.
Features
Emotional decision-making can be generalized as a five-stage process, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Emotions are tied to subconscious beliefs, and are centered on an object or event. When an object or event evokes a belief-based emotion, physiological arousal occurs in a positive or negative way. Physical expressions naturally result from these arousals. After this experience, the mind subconsciously categorizes the object or event according to its emotional significance, and this memory is taken into account when forming future expectations concerning the same object in the future.
Effects
The effects of emotional influence can be seen throughout stock markets. Stock prices at any given time do not necessarily represent the underlying value of the stock; they are driven up and down by individual and group emotions. This effect can be seen in boom periods, where positive feelings and expectations drive prices to astronomical heights, from which they must eventually fall. Emotional influence is also apparent in times of economical turmoil, when investors stand on the sidelines, unwilling to take advantage of obvious opportunities due to the negative emotions associated with recent experiences.
Advantages
Investors who can accurately assess the emotional state of other traders while predicting future emotional trends can gain an informational advantage in stock markets. Watching and listening to public sentiment can alert savvy investors to possible boom cycles, allowing them to take profits quickly and vacate the sector before the bust demolishes stock valuations.
Drawbacks
Emotional decision-making can cause dramatic swings in stock valuations and stock markets in aggregate, which can wreak havoc on portfolios if emotional trends are not carefully monitored. Too much focus on emotional analysis can lead investors to ignore technical and fundamental valuations, which are still highly relevant in predicting stock price moves.

Ocean Expedition
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Raaf regarded his peer in horror,"You said we were only gonna fish a little."
"We are, we are,"Huemmo gave him a shy smile as he tossed a massive bait bag overboard,"uh we're gonna fish for wale anyway."
"The pack is moving in."Klem stood at the front of the boat, spear in tallon, eyeing a dark set of fins in the distance. They spliced through the churning water with alarming speed headed strait for the boat.
Raaf scrambled for the rope tethering them to certain death. He pulled to no avail, the bait bag was as heavy as he was. Raaf turned to the drone furious,"You told me you found a sardine shawl we could hunt! We're not prepared for large game, Vitur will be furious with me when we get back!"
Huemmo gently nudged him aside and shrugged,"Look it was only a little white lie to get your dad off my back." The drone handed Raaf a bronze trident and a brown robe,"Klem and I have done this a dozen times, it's fun you'll see."
Taking the spear in one talon and throwing the coarse fabric over himself with the other Raaf still felt cold. The cloak did little to take the edge off of the brisk morning air as the sun broke the horizon.
"Get ready." Klemok joined the two of them on the starboard side. He also had a trident though its blade was iron and its oak handle ornately decorated...with sark scales.
Raaf fussed arround with his feathers trying to take his mind off of Huemmo,"Why do drones have to be so frustrating?" He grumbled to himself.
"Being headstrong is good most of the time." Klemok chimed making his older brother jump,"Huem says determination is part of what makes him attractive, perdorming acts of strength show off his bravado and leadership potential...or something like that."
"Huh. Doesnt seem very attractive, Asi and Vitur are both determined but their not reckless about it." Raaf fiddled absentmindedly with his hoop earring,"Vitur is too cautious if anything and Asi doesnt do much besides cook I dont think."
"Ya but their old though, they couldnt wrestle a baby Elum if they wanted."
"Youd be surprised. How many sark have you killed? You both hunt big fish often?" Raaf tapped at the scale, its sharp edge bit into his finger and he yelped.
"Careful, they're sharp."
"No kidding," it was a mild scratch but annoying all the same.
"I've only nabbed the three I got these scales from." The younger mud puffed up with pride," The first one was hard but the other two were pretty easy. This'll be my first time taking on a wale, Huemmo thinks me ready for it." He shrugged.
"I hope you are cause I'm not." Raaf's feathers stood on end as he realized the wales were nearly on top of them. Huemo stepped on the spool of roap and locked both of his massive paws arround the bait line. A shadow slithered from the depths towards the boat. Pink stained fangs long as a mudokon forearm broke the surface entrapping the fishnet. Huemmo lurched forward catching himself against the rim of their boat as he strained to keep the line.
Klem struck first, aiming over the ravinouse fangs, Raaf thought he missed. Until the fish spat the meat out and lurched backwards in pain. It's giant bulbous eye struck through by the iron blade. He took aim to finish the thrashing beast off and released his spear.
Black and white blubber smacked the side of their boat as the wale shoved them away with its tail. Raaf and Klem fell backwards as they were sent spinning away from the pack. Several minutes passed before the vessel steadied out. Raaf pulled himself up into a sitting position and peered unsteadily over the rim. Two Kill'r Wale's were floating lifeless among the still waters, abandoned by their pack. His blade pierced the eye of a small pup, Raaf swore under his breath, it was too young to die. He felt numb as Klemek's cries shattered the stillness of the moment. The bait and line were long gone in the ruddy water. Huemmo nowhere to be found, they had lost their drone.
