im so divided on which system of astrology i should follow 😭 tropical (modern) resonates a bit w me but i see myself in sidereal too. i saw u liked hellenistic astrology which prompted me to look into that but im so torn bc there are so many things… do u have any advice

do not let the self righteous hierarchal ego obsessed freaks of astro twt/tumblr/tiktok rob u of divine discoveries. try them all!! stick to what resonates in ur study - it’s a science. learn through application.

i prefer traditional hellenistic western astrology. but sometimes i dabble in vedic. sometimes i use a bit of modern. sometimes i hate little things in each respective astrological practice — so i take what i think makes sense according to the science of astrology & keep it pushing.

omg i've been facing the same issue as well! i had clear skin but been breaking out since this year sm 💔

today it looks better which is wild about being a lunarian. it got bad during the moon-pluto conjunction at the critical degree 😭

this post is very true!!! im a libra asc, cancer 10th house with jupiter in leo but with cancer degrees! everything u said here is true, it does attract some attention bc of the 10th house which just makes me hide it 😭😭

where’s ur venus/moon placement? it could explain why u hide it instead of bragging about it b/c both luminaries (cancer & leo) be attention seeking. no shade i can say that as a luminarian >_<

1. anything chris brennan. he does hellenistic which is my preferred type of western astro.

he also got some good pdfs online and some great podcasts i listen to a lot.

2. i read the rulership book by rex e. bills like wikipedia.

it’s basically just an astrological dictionary in which nearly everything u can think of is assigned a planetary/sign/house ruler.

it is both modern & traditional.

3. i did read the twelve houses by sasportas, howard, greene, & liz, but it’s a modern book.

i don’t look down on modern astrology. but i will say that i don’t like modern nearly as much as i like hellenistic. & i find modern does not resonate for me.

which is why for this book, i have my personal qualms with some of their teachings.

i love how they tell the story of the houses in a cohesive way in which u don’t read them independently from each other.

the problem for me is that b/c they interpret the houses in a modern way as opposed to how the hellenistics do, most of that cohesion is unfounded in hellenistic astrology.

womp womp sounds. but if ur a modern astrologer then it shouldn’t be a problem for u.

so chris brennan is at the top of my recommendations. but tbh, i don’t read books as much.

i read an insurmountable amount of pdfs. it’s actually ridiculous how many pdfs or blog (not tumblr) posts i read from reputable astrologers lmao.

do you think there is something to be said about opposing house stelliums in synastry? irregardless of sign. for example, person a has a 5th house stellium in natal and person b has an 11th house stellium in natal.

ur saying regardless of sign, so like… if one person for example has a 5th house stellium in aries & the other person has an 11th house stellium in pisces? these signs don’t oppose but the houses do? hmm…

natively, it’s going to determine what areas of their lives the natives respectively have a lot of energy in. so that’s always significant to understanding the individuals within the relationship. the 11h person will gravitate to 11h themes & the 5h person will gravitate to 5h house themes.

and then the overlay will provide insight into what house that is for the other person. idk if i make sense lmao. but someone with an 11h in pisces, their 11h will fall in the 5th house in aries’ person’s 4th house. and that has its own significances. so even if there’s not an opposition in signs, an opposition in house dominance helps understand ways the natives (individually) are different. the signs & planets help explain why or how.

it depends on which lilith itis though, b/c each lilith tells a different part of the journey.

i had the presumption that u had swati placements b/c of the rahu influence. i have a swati moon trine rahu, & i am pretty shy about my body in a way. like i know that i have a very attractive appearance and aura, so i will enter a room like i do. & but when someone else acknowledges it it makes me a little shy.

my venus is in scorpio rx so that could explain the hiding part dbdbd & moon’s in sag! 7h (aries) is mars and it’s in my first house w libra! i do more frequently used vedic astro where a lot of my placements r in cancer / libra’s!

oooh yes. a detriment venus Rx can definitely show hiding. esp in scorpio b/c scorpio is obscurity.

how about i make a tumble masterlist of all things i currently reference in my 5+ years of astrology learning?

i’m kinda too lazy to make a drive (bahahahaha) but i can just add my resources to a masterlist. i used a lot so i might not remember them all.

no shame in using modern either so i’ll try to include modern references.
