Okay, now it does appear the rumors have been confirmed by official sources. HR 7891, the House version of the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), will indeed be put up for a full committee markup hearing alongside 10 other bills this coming Thursday at 10am PST.
This is not a full House vote yet, still in committee. So for greatest impact here, please focus on your specific reps who are in the committee if you can contact them to let them know you're against this bill.

any news on KOSA? I heard it might possibly mark up soon
The most recent news I've heard is that it may be marked up in the House Energy and Commerce Committee as soon as July 23. So if any of your reps are in that committee I recommend calling and emailing them now to tell them your opinion on the matter.
But at the very least in the Senate I've heard that Senators Ron Wyden (Oregon) and Rand Paul (Kentucky) are still roadblocking the thing from going through on unanimous consent despite Schumer pushing it. Which means that at this point it looks more likely that Schumer would be forced to put it to proper floor discussion which could take longer and could give the possibility to cut or alter things like the Duty of Care and any age verification issues.
That's all I know for now. So I recommend keeping an ear to the ground and to keep sending those opinions to your reps.
Edit: Apologies. The info source I based this on mentioned a markup of the APRA in the Senate Commerce Committee, rather than the House where there was a failed attempt to markup KOSA alongside ten other internet bills including the APRA. No news on a House markup just yet it seems. But still keep informed.

Any updates on KOSA as of rn? I heard it's gonna get reviewed next week
I've heard those same rumors.
As far as I'm aware in the House it's still yet to be heard by the full Energy and Commerce Committee. Looking at their calendar I don't see any hearings scheduled besides one for "Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Hearing: "Examining Anti-Doping Measures in Advance of the 2024 Olympics”", but I may be wrong, so best to keep an eye out for that.
If anything it might have the chance to get analyzed by the House if it gets elevated out of the Energy and Commerce committee in the coming week if they add it into the agenda sometime this coming week. So if you want the best shot at stopping it in the process of that, the people whose representatives are members of the committee are currently the ones with the most sway over things at this juncture.
List of members can be found here.
But it doesn't hurt to contact your House Congressperson even if they're not part of the committee to share your opinions.
As for the chances of passing fully within the next week, I sort of doubt it for now. At this time the Senate is still adjourned for a couple of weeks for the State Work Period that started last week and should only be meeting for pro forma sessions with no business enacted until they reconvene next on July 8th. And I don't know their calendar that far in the future at this point.
So I don't think there's a need for worry in the immediate future. But it doesn't hurt to keep on top of things and to keep sending messages to your reps to let them know you're against this bill and why.

as much as I’m trying not to panic about KOSA I can’t help but feel very anxious, i will call the number tomorrow (813) 492-2379 I recommend you to do the same :)) no pressure ofc but in your opinion do you think it will pass senate on Thursday ?
That's understandable. Especially as things get closer and people push more against it.
Don't worry about that. I've already called my reps and I intend to email them tomorrow too to double down on it all. Probably also fax if I can.
As for if it'll pass Senate. Sadly I'd say the chance there is fairly high. Especially since Schumer is pushing this thing so hard before the August recess and all the cosponsors. But this will depend on things like discussing amendments to the bill and then voting on those amendments. What I'd hope for most is for something to disrupt the congress, but of course that's unlikely so going to have to think practically. Though I believe that this is an initial procedural vote and even if they got that through then the final vote would occur by next week. But don't quote me on that one.
The thing to remember is that this thing will also have to pass the House where it's much less certain to my understanding of things. So we can hold out hope there. Especially since it still hasn't passed committee and then the house and senate versions of the bill would have to coincide.
Keep in mind it's also an election year. What Schumer and his camp want is a quick hail Mary that it seems the House may not be willing to give. There are also rumors I've beard that House Republicans may want to begin recess a week early, which would complicate things further for them.
All we can do as average citizens is let them know what we want and push to get people who will listen. And those who make laws which won't infringe upon us.

im praying and hoping kosa wont pass so im really anxious and stressed would it still technically need more months for the bill to have a full affect though right?
Yes. According to current information, even if it passed there would still be 18 months between it being signed into law and taking full effect. Which would allow time for it to be challenged in court.
But until that time comes, if it does, we will have to fight to keep that chance from happening. Which is what I'll keep doing.

I did check twitter to see if theres was any truth to it and while i do believe we may see a push, theres also a part of me that is hopeful/dreading that it ends up being a wash, at least in the sense that we arent seeing it pass but also meaning right now is just bullshit fearmongering over next week.
I dont know, im tired of following this damn bill, loading posts onto my queue, waiting to see where it all goes. I just want to see it dead
