story time. We (meaning me and my friend, but my dad and her parents brought us) went to the hozier concert in brussels last saturday and on the way there we were talking about how most of hoziers fans are female and my friend referenced the whole joke about hozier and lesbians and most of his fans being queer afab people. We laughed about that because fandom memes are wonderful and mostly moved on but later in front of the concert my dad went "oh yeah you were right! Theres so many women here!" And then in like a quieter voice lmao "you cant know about their sexualities tho" and my closeted aro self just. Looked at all the very obviously queer people standing around us in tiktok mullets and frog hats and half the time in couples pairs of two friends. And said something along the lines of "yeah you should never assume"

i love my dad but that was such a wild thing to say surrounded by these people lmao
