Warm autumn feels! 🍂 . . Slowly my fall table has evolved! Here are the highlights!! . . @dollartree burnt orange plates combine with handmade grapevine wreaths and #thriftstorefinds wheat 🌾 plates! . . The wooden turkeys received a coat of #anniesloanchalkpaint in Barcelona Orange and make perfect place cards where names will be handprinted in time for the dinner party! . . Thrift store glass globes combine with painted tuna tins & more handmade grapevine wreaths to create a flickering centerpiece which is corralled on this stunning wooden tray from @vintagecottage150 🧡. The Fall Porch! FINALLY 🍂🍁🍂 . . Ok it went like this.... it took forever to get my porch together this year🤪 . . First, I spent way to much money on fall plants in early September and they promptly died 💀 due to the excessive heat! 🥵 . . Then I was mad 😡 and refused to spend more money on plants so I decided I’d gathered free natural elements ( otherwise known as WEEDS) to style my porch! . . Once I had these items in place I just needed my perfect wreaths to arrive! . . (I can’t talk about it because I promised not to talk about how FEDEX HELD MY WREATHS HOSTAGE anymore). 🤫🤫🤫 . . Outdoor kitchen! 🧡 . . Oh my goodness y’all! I didn’t want the weekend to end. It was perfect! . . Do you ever feel that you’re not getting to enjoy the simple things in your life? . . That’s how I’ve felt all summer and it was making me sad! .😥 . . This past weekend we took time out to really enjoy our time here at #thepondsfarmhouse 🧡 . . We invited our guests and they were all available ✅. We got a lot of yard work done in preparation ✅. We had a perfect afternoon by the pool✅. Followed by my husband’s Low Country Boil ✅. This was just Saturday! 🥰 . . Sunday, we celebrated by daughter and SIL’s 7th anniversary with grilled Caprese Chicken for lunch ✅. (My husband cooking obviously 🙄). My sister and her husband joined us for lunch and we spent the afternoon in the pool ✅. The weather was perfect 🌞✅. . . To end a perfect weekend, my husband and I ate leftovers and sat on the pier! ✅ . . Plus, I had fun creating simple #tablescapes for the outdoor tables. Do you like persimmon pudding? 🍁 . . The persimmons are just starting to fall and making a pudding is a lot of work. So I’ve never tried to make one. 🤪 . . My mama made the best! 😋 She didn’t mind the picking up, the getting the debris out of the soft persimmons, the washing and the straining that goes into getting enough pulp to make a pudding. . .
