Hey hai, sorry for the long ask but I wanted to hand deliver a snippet to you if that's okay, cus I'm half way through the stone trans top logan fic and am way too excited to finish it (obviously you don't have to post this, I'm just writin for sillys :3 and I wish I could put a -read more- cut in an ask)
Logan was sick and tired of Wade. Well, not Wade, he could never get tired of Wade, he was tired of Wade's non-stop never-ending jokes. Well, some of the jokes-
Dammit he was pissed off at Wade's sex jokes.
He was always putting jokes everywhere where they didn't belong and usually Logan just ignored him, but in the past few days the jokes were getting less and less varied in their subject. All about how good a fuck would be and all the things he would do to Logan in bed and Logan had to stop himself from growling whenever the man even joked about his dick anywhere near Logan.
Sure it wasn't Wade's fault he felt his way, but nothing was going inside him, and that was final.
And one night they were down at a bar, neither drinking much, Logan needed to cut down on his alcohol and Wade was enjoying sipping at his stupid fruity cocktail.
He scowled as he brought his beer back up to his lips.
Wade had brought his suit mask, pulled up to his nose as he sipped, wearing some shitty hawiian shirt or oter, obnoxious kahki shorts that clashed horrendously, knee high white socks with sneakers, and he didnt know what the fuck kinda look wade was going for but it sure was something, logan just chose to come out in his flannel and tank top and jeans, his outfit he felt most comfortable in, although the jeans were pissing him the hell off too, maybe that was just because they couldnt hold the shape of his packer and it looked like he had no dick, he really hated to admit how self concoius he felt going round outside when he felt he didnt look right.
But he could distract himself from those feelings by letting himself get pissed off by wade.
Wade, who now he had tuned back into the mans ramblings, he realised he was talking about logan, apparently his favourite topic of conversation,
“Y’know I'm not a natural bottom, but I'd be willing to do anything for you, babygirl!”
Logan just turned his head round very slowly, ever so slight fuzz of alcohol feeling comforting instead of drowning,
“Yeah yeah haha, real funny wade.”
Wade looked over at him with a grin, this was the first time Logan replied to him all night,
“Who said I was joking peanut?”
Logan hesitated for a moment before scoffing,
“Take off your mask and look me in the eyes while you say that and I might just believe you.”
SKDJFGKLJDSFGSDF I AM ABOUT TO GO TO UNI YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO MEEEE
I have to sit in lectures all day and pretend I'm not thinking about Wade getting absolutely fucking WRECKED. this is going to haunt me. haunt me. :screams:
Also I love how every time Wade says 'not a natural bottom' you can just TELL he is lying. The lady doth protest too much, etc. etc. etc.
Logan's packer-woes are relatable, lmaoooo. I love him and I am so excited for this. Seriously. Thank you and everyone else who's also latched onto this headcanon - having more rep with the character I'm majorly projecting onto really does mean the world!
I can tell this fic is gonna be great fun already.... I can't wait.

It's giving the...main character syndrome. like who tf does she think she is??? Y/N???
NO OH MY GOSH ANON. LET ME TELL YOU. LET ME FRIGGIN TELL YOU.
#okay so i need to give her a name. we will call her yn bc she is just so different and quirky and not like other girls#so i haven't liked yn since freshman year (am a junior) because she seemed incredibly pretentious. she has like awards n stuff for this#asian advocation group and tons of other stuff which is GOOD. but she has a tendency to brag and be very cocky about it.#AND YOU KNOW WHAT. IT WASNT JUST ME. MY FRIEND FROM SEMINAR who we will call Pie for certain reasons (her name rhymes with it) AGREED WITH#ME ABOUT YN BEING COCKY! and Pie and Yn are in the same group since they are both Asian and ppl at my school typically hang out w their rac#is that racist? like there's an asian boys group and asian girls group. but it's only asians and white people; but it's weird since a large#portion of my school is hispanic. i dunno WEIRD SIDE TANGENT BUT BASICALLY THEY ARE IN THE SAME GROUPS; RIGHT? so Pie was agreeing that Yn#can be very pretencious; and I'm then like#oh i don't really like her for the cheating stuff she did with Mac (fake name) and how she got#him to basically cheat on his girlfriend“ and Pie says ”oh well Mac started it; but Yn lead him on for over a month while he had a gf#and they kept this going until Yn decided to break things off; WHICH MEANS MAC'S NOW EX GIRLFRIEND NEVER KNEW ABOUT ANYTHING W MAC N YN!#also allegedly according to my boyfriend; Yn was doing homework as Mac was yk DOING it to Yn and she just like... LET IT HAPPEN WHILE HE HA#A GIRLFRIEND. HELLO? and when Yn ends it; he's like “omg but yn... i love you...” “no. i'll only hurt you; if you're with me it'll only hur#uh okay 25k words slowburn vibes.... ANYWAYS so she takes screenshots and sends them in a SUPER big groupchat with 20+ people (including Pi#and my boyfriend) and Pie (who was childhood friends with Mac) called her out saying how it was also kind of her fault for being with a guy#who was in a relationship; but she got super defensive about it. and this same thing happened AGAIN 2ish months later with a girl Jas and#her boyfriend Ben; where Yn was friends with both but basically was emotionally cheating with Jas; leading them to break up; and then she#GOT WITH JAS. HELLO???? WHAT??? and they r still together. none of them talk to Ben even though Yn said they were 'all cool and friends'#SUREEEE GIRL SURE. KEEP TELLING YOURSELF THAT. and Pie called her out on this AGAIN since Pie is friends with Ben and Jas too but Yn got#defensive AGAIN! BC SHE KNOWS ITS A SHITTY THING TO DO! and Pie doesn't really like her because of it and when Pie told me all of that I wa#in shock. because Yn was trying to play the victim in the situation with Mac when she sent the messages to the gc; and tried to do that AGA#N BUT IN THE SITUATION WITH JAS LIKE NO U ARE JUST A CRAPPY PERSON ! and appearently she is SO toxic she was nearly kicked out from a#leadership role at my school's asian pacific islander club or something! like girl WAKE UP! but that's not all; so i didn't know she was#known for going for people who had partners; yet still didn't like her; and last school year (about 4 months ago) my boyfriend got a 'reall#bad haircut' (i thought it was cute; but everyone made fun of him ) and Yn RAN around our campus trying to find him to make fun of him..#like wtf that's so weird and she will post screenshots of their convos on her story and be like 'omg he's bullying me!' when he's being dry#and did that in the gc (this time; i'm in it!) and i crashed out but my bf was apologizing and saying he told her to not post anything but#she didn't listen or something i guess. and sometimes when they are wearing similar outfits she'll post on her story that they are matching#um girl he has a wife and 12 kids. back the FUCK off. and i told him to distance himself from her or set boundries cuz i don't like that n#it makes me uncomfy; so he did which is good! but i still don't like Yn. she is a major pick-me IMO and very two-faced and covers her

Go Home - Charles Leclerc
Tumblr media
<word count - 2667>
What. A. Fucking. Day.
You were running around the Ferrari hospitality, with practically no energy after being up all night. The fact that you had even made it into work was an absolute miracle, but you thought that doing something with yourself might help you take your mind off of how you were feeling.
It was safe to say that it didn't. If anything, it just made it worse. Your body felt more fatigued the more you moved, and plenty of people had noticed. They all asked if you were feeling OK, and you always responded with a meek 'yeah, yeah, just feeling a little under the weather.'
One of the many people to notice this was Charles. He had seen that you weren't your usual, perky self, and that concerned him slightly. After seeing you around for a few hours, not getting noticeably better, Charles took it upon himself to approach you.
You had just walked out of Fred's office after delivering some papers, and he was stood in the corridor, seemingly waiting to go in. "Hey Charles," you greeted, sending him a small yet weak smile. You didn't want him to be the next person to ask how you were feeling, but you could sense it coming anyway.
"Hey, you OK? You're not looking too good..." he sheepishly said, not wanting to upset you, but still wanting to show that he cared about your current condition.
"Oh thanks, Charles," you rolled your eyes, walking away from him. Instantly, you felt bad that you had reacted like that, knowing he was just trying to be nice and knowing that your attitude was uncalled for.
But, you really weren't feeling like making kind smalltalk with someone. You weren't in any mood to turn around and apologise either, so you just figured you would say sorry to him when you were feeling better.
Shortly after, you heard footsteps behind you in the corridor. Charles knew you didn't mean it and it was just because you were feeling shitty, so he didn't take it to heart. If anything, it made him even more worried for you and whether you should actually be at work or not.
"Y/N, hey, no, wait," he called after you, speeding up so he could catch up to you. "You really don't look too good, are you sure you don't need anything? I've got some extra time if you want some help with some stuff." he said, hoping that you'd allow him to take some of the load off of you so that you could relax for a bit.
"No, no," you declined, thinking that he had something better to be doing with his time. He was just as busy as you were, if not more. Plus, you didn't want to give him whatever it was you had just in case it would hinder his racing ability.
"Are you sure? I really don't mind, it'd be-" he started, but you cut him off with a sigh.
"Charles, I've got it, OK? I do appreciate the offer, really, but you're just as busy as I am." you interjected, turning around and walking off from him again. Charles huffed to himself, unsure of what to do.
He was certain that you running around and working yourself to the bone wasn't what was going to help your illness, but he also knew that you were stubborn as a mule and it'd take a hell of a lot of convincing to get you to change your mind.
For the time being, he resigned himself to the fact that you were going to carry on working. He'd keep an eye on you for the rest of the day, and if you got any worse, he would simply have to force you to go home.
An hour or so later, Charles spotted you in the cafeteria, pushing your food around your plate with your fork. His heart dropped slightly as he saw your face. You had paled in colour, your nose and cheeks contrasting against your skin as they were as red as your polo that you had on.
He leant against the wall with his arms crossed for a short while, his eyes glued on you. Your shoulders were hunched, one of your arms wrapped around your stomach. He spotted the subconscious, self-soothing gesture, and his hard expression softened.
You really didn't look good, not at all. Definitely not good enough to be staying at work and slaving away for the rest of the day. Slowly, Charles stepped towards your table, the other people around knowing that it'd take a miracle to convince you to chill it out.
"Hey, can I sit?" he quietly said, gesturing to one of the chairs at your otherwise empty table. You craned your neck to look up at him, leaning back and taking your arm away from your stomach.
"Yeah, course," you nodded, watching as he pulled out the chair next to you and sat down on it. With one elbow on the table, Charles rested his chin on his hand.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, the question obviously leading. It was with an expectant answer, an answer consisting of you telling him how horrendous you felt and how you needed to go home.
However, you replied with a simple, "I'm fine." Charles groaned, running a hand through his chocolate locks.
"You're not fine, OK? Look at you, you look dead on your feet," he said, frustration seeping through his words. He never understood why you were always so stubborn, especially when it came to your own wellbeing.
Going home was clearly the best option for you and your health, but you refused to just give up your pride and perfect work-attendance record and go home. "I'm just feeling a bit rough, it's nothing serious," you tried to reassure him, knowing he wasn't going to back down on the matter easily.
"Nothing serious? You're pale as a ghost, you clearly have 0 energy, and it is just obvious that you feel absolutely awful!" he snapped, unable to keep his temper in check. He wasn't snapping out of anger, and you knew that.
He was snapping out of pure consideration for you and comfort. Deep down, he knew that you were hurting and in no condition to be there, but that didn't stop his temperament from clocking out for a moment.
He saw the dejected look on your face, the softness creeping back into his features. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." he trailed off, unsure of what to say. Getting mad at you wouldn't make you listen to him, he knew that, but he still wanted to try and convince you.
"Please, just go back to the hotel. I'm worried about you, you know?" Charles said, hoping that by revealing his feelings, it might incline you to listen to him. "I'll make sure all of your work is done, I promise. You won't have to worry about a thing."
"But I've got so much to do, and I don't want to force someone else to work that I can-"
"No, don't tell me you can do it. You can't do it. And I won't let you," Charles cut you off, squeezing your hand. "I'll take you back, make sure you're comfy, and I will have it all taken care of." he repeated.
For once, you were actually considering doing what he said. Your body was crying out for you just to retire to your bed for the remainder of the day and just rest. Sleep off the sickness and come back to work your usual self.
There was the problem of your work, but you truly did trust that Charles would have it taken care of. He wasn't the kind of guy to make promises that he couldn't keep, and he would make sure your work got done on time and as it was supposed to be done.
He took your silence as a yes, since you'd usually give him attitude if you were refusing his requests. He hated seeing you like this: tired, sick and downright dejected. A small part of him was screaming at him to just wrap you up in his arms and take care of you until you were back to your usual self.
In some ways, you being like this hurt him too. He didn't like it when you pushed yourself this far and risked your own health and wellbeing just for the sake of a job. Yes, he did admire it, but his dislike for it heavily out-weighed his recognition of the trait.
"When was the last time you ate something? And don't bother lying to me," he sternly asked, and you knew it wasn't time to try and fool him with a clearly false answer.
"Yesterday. Well, more specifically, last night." you quietly told him, his eyes searching your face for any hint of deception. Yet, he found nothing but sincerity, and the pointed look in his eyes mellowed out once again.
"And what did you have?"
"Just some soup and crackers from room service," you told him, and the sigh he let out was audible and slightly disappointed.
"Jesus Christ... you're running on fumes," he mumbled, "How much did you sleep last night?" Charles asked, even though he could tell it wasn't much from your sluggish posture and dark under eye circles.
"I can't tell you how much exactly but it wasn't much at all," you told him, now actually looking forward to going to bed for the rest of the day.
"Come on, we're going. I will sort everything," he reassured, standing from his seat and offering a hand out to you. You took his hand, letting him help you up. Charles felt a small pang of satisfaction ripple through him when you allowed him to assist you.
Silently, he led you out of the paddock and to the parking lot, where he navigated you over to his car and sat you down in it. You were slightly worried about getting fired for just randomly leaving, but if Charles asked Fred, pretty much anything was possible.
The car ride was wordless while he manoeuvred through the streets, until he pulled up in a spare parking space near the hotel. Charles helped you out of the car and all the way up to your room.
Now that he was close up to you, he saw how gaunt your expression was. He really didn't want to just leave you here to fend for yourself, since he didn't think you had the strength or energy to do so properly.
"Can I come in with you?" he asked once you had reached the door to your room. You nodded, unlocking the door and gesturing him inside. To say that you had been in such a state, the room was in fairly good order.
You hadn't made the bed, which was understandable given how bad your morning must have been, but the rest of the room was relatively clean. "You sit, I'll get you something to change into," he told you, walking up to the wardrobe.
Opening it, it was mostly just your teamwear since you were only there for work and wouldn't have the time for much tourism. Rifling through your clothes, he found a soft pair of shorts and one of your Ferrari hoodies that he thought looked comfy enough.
Turning around, he saw you already shuffled under the covers and sinking into the pillows. "You comfy?" he smiled, the sight of you lead there making his heart beat a little quicker. He really didn't want to leave you here - he wanted to stay by your side where he could make sure you were OK.
"Arms up," he softly said, helping you to sit up. "Can I?" he requested, asking for your permission as his hands hovered over the buttons of your polo. You nodded, and he quickly unbuttoned them and pulled the shirt off over your head.
If he wasn't focused on how sick you were, he would be practically salivating at how stunning you were, but now wasn't the time for that, and he understood. You were vulnerable, and he would be pretty damn pissed with himself if he allowed himself to think like that.
Pulling the hoodie on over your body, he reached a hand around your neck to pull your ponytail out. "I'll let you do those yourself," he gently chuckled, placing the shorts next to you and facing away from you around to give you some privacy.
Charles heard the sound of a zipper and the rustling of fabric, finally followed by the sound of you shimmying back under the covers. "Do you need anything else?" he asked, taking a seat on the edge of the bed next to you.
"No, no, I should be good," you told him, and Charles wasn't buying it for a second. It was at that point where the part of him that was compelling him to stay by your side and take care of you, protect you, love you won out.
"You do realise that I'm not going anywhere?"
"Charles, no, you're busy and-"
"Sweetheart, no. You need me, they'll be able to do it, I'm sure," he told you, and when you didn't argue back, he really grew concerned. Even when you were sick, you were normally able to bite back and give him some sass back.
The fact that you had just accepted your fate worried him, even if he was relieved that he wouldn't have to try and convince you again. "I'll get you a water and some medicine, and then I'll sit here for the rest of the day or until you get better. Whichever happens first," he told you.
Charles didn't miss the small smile that tugged at the corners of your lips, and he was glad that he could bring a bit of brightness to your day. Disappearing into the bathroom, he filled up a glass with water and rummaged around in the cabinets for some paracetamol.
"Now you're going to take these, and then you're going to sit back and rest and let me dote on you."  he said with a slightly teasing tone, handing you the two small, white pills and watched as you popped them into your mouth before lifting the glass of water to your lips and encouraging you to take a sip.
Once you had drank around half of the glass, Charles left it on the bedside table. "I want you to try and get some sleep, OK?" he said.
"Yeah, sure," you agreed, snuggling down into the covers. He hated having you just lie there when he felt that you needed his physical support as well as his emotional support. Just getting to hold you would surely make you feel better, and him too.
"Hey sweetheart?"
"Yeah? You OK?" you asked, and he couldn't help but grin. Even when you were feeling horrendous, you were still making sure he was OK.
"I'm fine, yeah. Can I just... can I hold you? Or hug you? Or anything? I just feel so useless," he mumbled, instantly feeling like an idiot. But, before he could get ahead of himself, you responded.
"Be my guest," you told him. Charles moved under the covers and then next to you. He wrapped an arm around your waist, gently tugging you towards him to that you could rest your head on his chest.
You could hear the steady pound of his heartbeat, and it was a very soothing sound. Charles let out a sigh of contentment, glad that he was able to provide some semblance of comfort. He felt your weight against him as you relaxed, meaning he was doing his job right.
Despite you feeling no where near 100%, he was glad that he could be the person who you allowed yourself to be vulnerable with and the person that would take care of you. You trusted him, and that was more than enough.
Plus, he'd be happy with cuddles anyday, whether you were sick or not.
A/N - Hey loves! Hoping you're all doing well! I do have a little thing for the 5 year anniversary of Charles' 2019 Monza win, but it is nothing special. It is just a lil ol' something that I whipped up. Not really a story, but hey. It'll do. Have a wonderful day/night!💖

"real smooth, tripping over air."
hyunjin came back to the table and set down two coffees, the content of seungmin's plastic cup spilling over the rim just a little bit when hyunjin pushed the beverage toward him rather aggressively.
"shut up," hyunjin grumbled, covering his face with his hands as he wallowed in his misery. "literally shut the fuck up."
it was burnt into hyunjin's subconscious, the feeling of utter embarrassment when he had quite literally scrambled to stand up after you called out his order number and stumbled as he made his way over to the counter.
this was the fifth time that seungmin had been dragged to the campus cafe where you worked part-time as a barista, just to provide emotional support while hyunjin tried not to chicken out of chatting you up. every time, hyunjin swore today's the day, and every time, he went home with his tail between his legs and a brain that was wiped clean the very second you smiled at him.
seungmin only laughed despite losing a few drops of his coffee to hyunjin's dramatic ass. it was entertaining to see his friend like this, panties all twisted in a bunch over a crush on a cute girl whose number he couldn't even muster up the courage to ask for.
"you're such a pussy," seungmin tutted, shaking his head in disapproving amusement and taking a sip of americano as he looked at hyunjin who seemed like he could have a mental breakdown if even a gust of wind were to breeze past him right now. "it's not like you've never asked for a girl's number before. just do it."
"do you want to broadcast my shame to everyone here? keep your loud ass voice down." hyunjin removed his hands from his face and hunched forward to scold his friend in a half-whisper, even though the cafe was busy that day and it was almost impossible for you to hear him from all the way in the corner and over the lively chatter of the other students filtering in and out of the place. "you don't know what it's like. she might be the prettiest girl i've seen in my entire life. i go stupid every time i look at her."
"to be fair, you go stupid pretty often," seungmin said, which only earned him another murderous glare from across the table. "for real, why am i wasting my time here with you if you're just not gonna do anything? you're not even paying for my coffee. i could be in my room sleeping and saving money right now."
a pathetic whine slipped from hyunjin's lips before he sneaks a glance in your direction, where you were focused on writing down some guy's order by the register. "i don't know what to say!" he groaned, "it's so hard. ughhh."
he remembered the first time he saw you, and it wasn't in this cafe. it was at some lame party that he was forced to attend, where the drinks were shitty and the music was even shittier. he was sipping on cheap beer when he spotted you talking to another girl in the corner of the room, both of whom he'd never seen on campus before. what caught his attention was your easygoing smile and how your mere presence just seemed to pull him in despite the roomful of people separating you. he couldn't look away, and as if you could sense his stare on you, you'd turned your head and met his eyes. you'd sent that same charming smile his way, and hyunjin was enamored for the rest of that evening.
he lost sight of you soon after though, and none of his friends knew who you were. that was that; you were a pretty girl that he saw at a party once, whose name he didn't even know but whose smile he had memorized.
then three weeks later, as though the universe had given him a second chance, he saw you again when he came to the cafe for a quick bite before class. you'd smiled at him the same way you did at the party, and he was tongue tied.
fast forward another month and here he was, with his head in his hands as he agonized for the nth time over what to say to you other than "hi," "one iced americano please," and "thanks."
"just tell her you think she's cute and you'd like her number," seungmin said. "it literally doesn't get more straightforward than that. the worst thing she can say is no."
this was how their last four visits to the cafe went, the conversation always ending with hyunjin neglecting his friend's advice in favor of sneaky glances and a mouth shut tight when he failed to hype himself up enough to utter a few words to you.
"if you don't do it today, you're on your own," seungmin told him when he was only met with silence from hyunjin's end. "i'm not coming back with you again. the coffee isn't even good."
"wait, come on, dude. just... wait. i need to think."
"stop thinking. nothing in that brain of yours is going to help."
"hey!"
"are you gonna do it or not?"
"hold on, i need a plan."
seungmin rolled his eyes before he downed the remaining few sips of his coffee. "you know what? if you don't ask for her number, maybe i'll just do it myself." then he was already coolly standing up and heading in your direction without even looking to see if hyunjin heard him correctly.
"seungmin!" hyunjin called, hurriedly gathering his phone and wallet and scrambling to catch up with his friend in a panic. they both stopped in front of the register, where it was thankfully empty now and no one nearby had to watch hyunjin burn himself to a crisp with embarrassment.
"how can i help you?" you asked, looking at them curiously when hyunjin's eyes flit between you and seungmin in a panic.
"uhm... i.... uh..."
"this is hyunjin." seungmin was the coherent one between the two of them as he clasped a hand on his friend's shoulder with a sly grin. "he thinks you're cute and wants to get your number."
"the end," hyunjin says flatly. "the rest was history. you were there, you know what happened."
"come on, please?" you pout, tugging on his arm as you lean closer to nudge your nose against his cheek. "i've only ever heard it from seungmin and he doesn't tell it like you do."
he glances at you from the side. "what do you want me to tell you? that in that moment i considered running out the door and not stopping until i found the nearest ditch to fall into?"
you laugh, all light and airy and it still makes hyunjin as smitten as he was that afternoon in the cafe. "no, the other part."
"the part where i actually did kinda try to run away and bumped into someone and spilled coffee all over myself? and you had to take me to the backroom to let me borrow someone's shirt?"
this draws another giggle out of you as you recall the moment, when you had been so endeared by him that it was hard to let him go home afterward without your number saved in his phone. "yeah," you say, utter fondness dripping from your voice. "that part."
"that was the most embarrassing day of my life. i made a complete fool of myself."
"you were adorable. it's my core memory of you."
"i'm glad you found my humiliation entertaining."
you roll your eyes half-heartedly before pressing a chaste kiss to his cheek to appease his faux sulk. "we wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for your dramatic overthinking ass that day, would we? unless... you'd rather take it all back."
hyunjin softens in an instance, huffing out a breath as he mumbles bashfully, "i didn't say that..."
"you big baby," you tell him with your lips still ghosting the side of his face. you're so close like this, so tightly pressed up against each other on your couch that you can feel the warmth of his body and the thumps of his heart when you slide your hand over his chest. you give him another peck on the cheek, then you smile against his skin. "happy six-month anniversary."
there's a light blush that rises from his neck until it covers his face in the most beautiful rosy shade. a shy grin, his eyes turning into little crescent moons from the happiness that spreads from his head down to his toes, then hyunjin is smoothly turning over so he could pin you underneath him, where he presses his lips against yours so your smiles could meet.
"happy six months, baby."

I was thinking about Joel working hard to buy a small gift for you until he finds a heart-shaped locket but he's embarrassed because he thinks you deserve something much better, he smuggles what he can and comes home tired but a little excited to give you the detail.
He cried the day you showed him that you put a photo of him in the locket, he hugged you very tightly, burying his face between your neck and shoulder while he tried not to make his crying sound so loud
while you petted his wavy grey hair.

A/N: omg baby, I am screaming and crying and throwing up at this wonderful idea, it's beautiful, lovely and sooo accurate because I'm sure this is how Joel would act underneath his rough exterior 😭

• it took Joel so long to admit how important you were to him, his true feelings for you, instead of just shrugging off and pretending he didn't care about you at all, he battled himself really hard in order to come clean with his own feelings
• but from the moment he finally admitted and allowed his old broken heart to beat faster for you, suddenly, you were the only thing that mattered to him, even if life was shit and neither of you had any perspective of future, he would die and kill for you and you knew it
• he often orbited from thinking he didn't deserve you and that you could find something better, but at the same time he was selfish and he didn't care about anything other than having you all for himself, as you were the only good thing he still had
• even if you two lived in a shitty, old, disgusting and moldy apartment, the times you spent fucking, holding and cuddling each other were the only good part of his life
• it was because of you he managed to slow down with his drinking and pills, he hadn't stopped it yet, you knew sometimes he needed it to cope with reality, but you were his favorite drug nonetheless
• he wanted to get you something nice, even if it was pretty hard to find something decent, he felt like you deserved a small treat for being his, and even if most of stuff he found was still shit, being a smuggler had it's advantages
• so when he saw the locket in the shape of a heart, he needed to have it for you, you deserved something pretty and gorgeous like you were, so he traded stuff here and there and managed to smuggle it back into the QZ so he could surprise you
• the day he gifted you the locket, you had squealed in happiness like a child and wrapped your arms around him, jumping into his embrace and kissing all over his lips and face, it was such a gorgeous gift, so thoughtful and you didn't hesitate in showing him gratitude for it
• he was so glad to see your reaction, knowing you deserved that and much more, it brought some light into his heart, to see you so glad because of a small gesture, which wasn't a small gesture to you at all
• if anything, it was a real big gesture and you knew you had to do something meaningful, there was only one thing you could place inside of it
• going to your safe box where you kept your personal objects and other significant things, you went through your polaroids; since you and Joel had snuck out of the QZ once to find stuff and you came across an old polaroid camera and some expired films at what seemed to have been a convenience store, you simply couldn't leave it behind
• yes, the lenses were a little cracked and the film was old but you managed to snap a few pictures of you and Joel - mostly against his will - and you didn't hesitate in taking one of them, cutting in the shape of your locket and placing inside of it
• when he came home from his shift that day, you flew to his lap as soon as he sat down on the couch, and wrapped yourself around him, he noticed the locked hadn't left your neck since he got you it and you smiled big
"open it!"
• you cheered pointing at it, which Joel chuckled and did as told, he didn't know exactly what he was expecting, but he knew he wasn't expecting to see his picture inside
"now I keep you next to my heart all the time Joel"
• you whispered to him, smiling at him with hopeful, loving eyes, while he felt tears springing through his own, not sure where that emotion was coming from, but it was there nonetheless
• his strong arms wrapped around your smaller frame as tight as he could and he buried his face between the crook of your neck, your hair falling all over it, as he tries muffling his sounds so you wouldn't notice he was actually crying
• Joel Miller wasn't a man to cry very often, but his old heart couldn't take that much love, kindness and innocence you had within, he didn't know why you had settled for him, a man with such an ugly past but he was never giving up that feeling for you
• of course you knew he was crying, but you decided not to say anything about it, it'd be better not to embarrass him, so instead you just clung to him, your hands caressing his graying curls, petting him so gently as you shared that embrace
• you loved Joel and he loved you, even if he didn't admit it out loud, there was no denying it

Part 1: If Anything I Find It Educative
Part 2: It Was Horrible Until It Wasn’t
Part 3: Douchebag Falls Short in This Case
------------------
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader.
Summary: Reader comes up to her apartment after Spencer walks her home from the diner, where they spend the last couple of hours. She is still processing the night and wonders if they will meet again. Another fortuitous event makes that happen. In which terms they will part ways again?
Word Count: 5.1k
Warnings: Mention of guns (tests to carry a gun). Mention to Reader's ex. Some strong words? IDK what else. If I forgot something, let me know.
A/N: I got very excited after your reactions and comments to "If Anything, I Find it Educative." So this is kind of part two, from Reader's perspective. I'm not convinced about a series yet, even if I have some ideas. What would you like to see if it happens?
-----
Reader's POV
-----
As I open the door, a bunch of cardboard boxes scattered on the floor greets me. That reminds me that I haven't unpacked all my things yet.
I've only been living here for two weeks, and I'm still getting used to the idea that this is my new home.
It doesn't feel like it yet.
But the boxes will be a problem for tomorrow. Now, I only want to take off these high heels and this fancy dress and call it a night - a pretty eventful night.
Not only did I have to confront my ex with his new girlfriend, but I also had to pretend I was okay with it. But how did I expect to do that? Did I genuinely think two months would be enough to be outside again to prove I got myself up?
How naive of me.
I make a beeline to my bedroom, not even bothering to look at the rest of the apartment.
Again, it's tomorrow's problem.
Retreating my phone from my purse, I plug it to charge over my bedside table as I strip from my clothes and go to the bathroom to do my nightly routine.
The entire time, my mind doesn't stop wandering. At some point, it settles on the girl I helped from choking. It was a total coincidence for me to be there. I only approached the bar for another drink when I heard that man rambling. I don't know why my ear perked up, but it did. When I look to find the voice's source, my eyes land on the man and the girl by his side.
He was talking as if the world would end if he didn't, and the girl only eyed him from head to toe, clearly not giving a damn what he was saying. I kept subtly listening to them while sipping my drink. The guy's voice had something enchanting. I would have heard him talk for hours if it were from me. It was a bad thing his interlocutor wasn't so receptive, and when she occasionally said something, it was a flirting remark that only made him uncomfortable.
What a shame.
When I noticed her fighting to breathe, swatting her hands in desperation, and the poor guy froze on the spot, I knew I needed to do something.
I didn't think much of it and wrapped my arms around her torso to help her. It worked. The oyster she choked with flew into the air, and she could breathe again.
But the next thing I knew, her palm connected to the man's cheek.
The poor guy seemed so confused, and the people talking around didn't help either. What a shitty situation. And as the good citizen I am, I tried to do something about it, only to get lashed out by the same woman I just saved from choking.
Fuck it.
Seeing the people's attention returned to them, I walked away. That wasn't my fight in the first place.
Returning from the bathroom, I hear my phone ding. It's a text from my friend Andie.
Andie: How did the gala turn out? Did you see him? He was with her, right?
Andie had insisted on me not going to the gala, although I repeated to her several times that it was okay, that nothing would happen, and that I couldn't hide forever.
Me: You were right. I wasn't ready.
It's a defeat I must recognize. I wasn't prepared to see them.
Andie: My girl, I'm so sorry. It must have been awful for you.
It was, but it doesn't mean the night was a disaster.
Me: It was horrible until it wasn't. I can tell you more tomorrow. Now, I only want to go to bed.
Andie: You have me a bit confused here, but okay. I'll call you tomorrow. Sleep tight; I love you.
I return my phone to the charger and slip under the covers.
It was horrible until it wasn't.
I keep thinking about that. And a smile tugs the corner of my lips. Since Spencer - the guy who got slapped by the oyster-choked girl - approached me at the terrace, the night wasn't that awful anymore.
Who would have thought I would end my night in a diner, dressed to the nines and spouting details of my messy life to a stranger?
-
Monday morning comes faster than I wanted.
I spent my Sunday mostly unpacking boxes and tidying my apartment, and now, with a coffee in hand, I cross the hall to my office on the third floor of the FBI building in Quantico.
Some colleagues greet me as I pass by. I return them with a polite smile. I saw a couple of them at the gala on Saturday. I only hope they didn't notice the wreck I was that night.
On my desk, a pile of hundreds of manila folders are waiting for me.
This Monday will be a blast.
Dutifully, I reach for the first folder to start my work, as my ear perks up to two colleagues' conversation about the gala.
"Did you see them? Those hot chicks from Counterterrorism?" a male colleague says to another.
"Yeah. I heard one of them was hitting on Reid from the BAU. What a waste!" The other adds.
"And the lucky bastard wasn't able to take her home. His nerdy charm didn't even help him with that."
The mention of the BAU brings Spencer to my mind again. And I realize I don't even know his last name.
I don't think I need to know, but I can't stop my fingers from typing 'Spencer FBI BAU' on my computer.
My findings make the conversation between my colleagues intriguing. They were precisely talking about Spencer, Spencer Reid, and the girl with him at the gala. Clearly, the incident did not go unnoticed.
I don't like the tone they refer to him, either. I do not know the guy well, but I'm sure he's way better than any of the men at the venue that night.
Are you hearing yourself (Y/N)? That kind of blind trust put you in this situation with your ex in the first place.
I shouldn't grant credibility so fast, but honestly? Spencer seems to be everything but a threat. The things he said, the way he spoke. Anyway, I should stop thinking about that if I want to finish some work. Yeah, that's what I need to do.
Drowning out the noise, I return to the opened folder and continue working.
Some would ask how a task as monotonous as the one I'm doing now could be appealing to someone. The appeal for me comes from how everything fits in the right places and serves a purpose. That's enough for me, even if some people don't understand it.
My ex didn't. And as him, many others.
I'm still fighting to ease the effects their judgments had on me.
Around lunchtime, stopping the papers review, I pick up my phone to check my messages. Yesterday, I promised Andie I would have lunch with her today, so I'm checking for her confirmation and a place to meet.
Just in time, a text comes. She is free right now and suggests a restaurant just outside the building.
"Hey, girl! I'm glad you made it," she greets me as I spot her on one of the tables.
"Of course. I promised I would."
Lunchtime is only one hour, so we order quickly and go straight to the matter.
"I can't believe the son of the bitch decided to go and show off his new conquest," Andie huffs.
"Not that new, considering she has been sleeping with him in what used to be my bed at least a month before I discovered it," I correct with an annoyed look.
It's good to say these things without crying my eyes out anymore.
I tell Andie more details about how it went to share a space packed with mutuals around us and try to stay composed.
"But at some point, I just couldn't. So I retracted to the bar. I only wanted to grab a drink and be alone."
Andie nods in understanding.
"I don't blame you. So you were at the bar when you crossed to the girl to whom you did Heimlich?"
Yesterday, by phone, I told Andie the main facts regarding that, and after laughing for a solid five minutes about the whole ordeal, she made me promise to reveal more details in our lunch meeting.
That's why I'm describing what happened piece by piece.
"She slapped the guy? And she yelled at you? What a bitch! But I don't understand why he apologized on her behalf."
"Honestly? I didn't understand it, but it made sense after talking with him. The guy felt responsible, even if it wasn't related to him. It was the fact that someone had to do the right thing," I explain, with my eyes fixed on my water glass, recalling Spencer's words from that night.
I can't help but feel some fondness for his genuine worry. Andie raises an eyebrow and hums.
"The guy made a good impression on you, I see."
Andie's tone is teasing, and I know exactly where she is heading.
"Come on, don't start with that," I warn her. I'm not thoroughly annoyed, but I'm not in the mood for teasing. Andie scoffs.
"I'm just saying it's good to know there are men out there that give hopes up. That's all!"
"Sure," I mumble, not very convinced by her explanation.
The rest of our lunch follows a similar tone. When I finish telling Andie about Spencer walking me home, I know she is biting her tongue to say something to taunt me, but she holds back and opts for a question.
"Do you think you'll see him again?"
I ponder my answer. I don't know, although I remember Spencer asking, 'See you around?'
That doesn't mean we agreed to see each other again, even if I said, 'Sure, why not?'
Did Spencer mean that? Did he want to see me again?
"I don't know. Maybe. We both work in this building, so there are chances, I guess," I shrug. Andie narrows her eyes.
"But do you want to?"
That's a question I don't know how to answer, so I take some seconds to think about it.
"Let's say I'm not opposed to the idea."
A reply that could be an understatement. But not I'm telling Andie that.
She doesn't press on the matter, though. And I'm grateful she doesn't.
Now it's time to go back to work. We walk out of the restaurant to our building and separate ways at the elevator. Andie continues to the eighth floor when I hop off on the third.
Returning to my desk, I continue checking the folders piled on my desk, and my mind only focuses on that, knowing if I don't, there is no chance of getting this stack finished.
----
A good thing about the week progressing is nobody talking anymore about the damn gala. It's been a nightmare since Monday when everyone had to mention something about it. That included comments about me facing my ex there.
Of course, it was public knowledge I was dating an agent of the Criminal Investigative Division. Also, it became public knowledge he cheated on me with his current girlfriend from Counterterrorism.
But finally, it is Thursday, and everything seems to have returned to normal, so much so that the amount of work has increased exponentially. That's why I'm still at the office at seven pm.
I only assume it's time to go home when my boss pokes out of his office and calls for Andrew, one of our coworkers who distributes files and memos to the other departments.
I turn around, and it's only me at this hour. My boss notices the vacant office and is now talking to me.
"I guess I have to ask you to do this. Can you go to the sixth and drop this to Aaron Hotchner's office? I would have waited until tomorrow for Andrew, but this must be at his desk today."
I don't think I have a choice, so I pick the folder, promising to drop it before going home.
With my coat and purse, I grab the folder and stroll to the elevator.
I have been working here for four years and know every financial detail of each Quantico department, but I still need to recognize all department locations in this facility. So, floors are just floors, except the eight where Andie works.
Arriving at my destination, I walk into a bullpen, where I can see a lot of desks and offices. And just like my floor, it is almost empty. Anyway, I see one of the offices with lights on. My instinct tells me that's the place I'm looking for, and the plaque at the door confirms my suspicions: SSA Aaron Hotchner.
"Come in," a voice comes from the office when I knock.
Peeking inside, a stern-looking man is glancing in my direction. "Can I help you?" he asks with a slight frown.
"Yes, sir. I'm with the Finance Division, and my boss asked me to bring this to you," I explain as I reach out to hand him the folder. When he grabs it, realization washes over the man.
"Of course. Thank you very much-" Agent Hotchner trails off.
"(Y/L/N)," I supply, knowing he wants my last name.
"Thank you very much, Agent (Y/L/N)."
Weird.
Everyone in the finance and administrative department refers to each other only by last name. We use the 'agent' thing mainly with those who do the fieldwork, and we are used to that.
"You're welcome, Agent Hotchner," I smile politely, ready to leave the man's office. He nods approvingly.
"Hotch, sorry for interrupting you, but I'm ready with my report. I thought you wanted it-"
A man talks, entering abruptly at the office. He stops in his tracks when he sees Agent Hotchner isn't alone.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were with someone. I can come back later," he apologizes.
Wait. I know that voice.
I turn, and I see Spencer standing there. His eyes meet mine, and I feel my cheeks burn. He doesn't say anything but doesn't tear his eyes from mine.
I don't know how many seconds pass, but it's enough for Agent Hotchner to intervene.
"Reid?" he calls Spencer's attention.
"Uh?"
"The report. It's okay; you can give it to me," he tells Spencer, not without subtly bouncing his gaze between us.
"Oh. Okay." Spencer approaches Hotchner's desk, but he still directs glances at me. I want to say hi to him properly, but it doesn't feel okay knowing the man in front of us is undoubtedly his boss. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable. So, I take that as my cue to leave.
"If you excuse me," I tell Agent Hotchner, signaling my departure. Spencer looks at me, and I give him a subtle smile.
"Of course. Thank you again, Agent (Y/L/N)."
"To you, sir. Have a good evening."
I walk down the stairs to the open bullpen and toward the elevator.
Before I can push the go-down button, a voice calls my name. It's Spencer's.
"(Y/N), wait!"
I turn and see him trotting towards me.
"Hi!" he says once we are face to face.
Now I feel bad. Spencer comes here to say hi, and I didn't greet him properly just two minutes ago.
"Spencer, hi. I'm sorry, I should have said something there, but I didn't know if you wanted him to know- I mean, I supposed he was your boss, and I-"
What's wrong with me?
Why can't I explain myself without stumbling with my words?
"No. No. Don't apologize. It's okay. I should have told you something, too. But I didn't expect to see you here."
"Me neither. My boss sent me here instead of one of my coworkers, who left early. I didn't know this was the BAU floor. What a coincidence, uh?" I play cool, shifting my weight from one foot to another. Spencer nods in agreement.
"Totally. It's good to see you, though. I hoped we could cross paths again."
Isn't it weird that his words have produced a funny tingle in my stomach right now?
"Is that so?" I half-breath, noticing his cheeks turn a shade of pink.
"Yes. I mean, I truly enjoyed talking to you that night," he sheepishly admits.
I more than enjoyed it, Spencer.
"Yeah, me too."
Silence sets between us. And it's time to make a decision. I could say I go home and leave him with a lukewarm 'See you around,' or say I'm leaving, but before doing so, give Spencer my number so we can talk soon. Or...
"Are you busy right now? I'm heading home now, but if you can and want, we can go for a coffee."
Wow (Y/N). Very smooth. I like you smooth.
Spencer's eyes widened, and I wondered for a second if my offer was too straightforward.
"If you have plans, it's okay. We don't have to," I relent.
"Oh, no. I don't. And I would love to go for a coffee with you," Spencer hastens to say. I release a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Yeah?"
"Sure! If you wait for me just a second, I'll pick my things from my desk, and we can go."
----
This time, it's my turn to pick the place.
It's a small coffee shop in the middle of Virginia, just mid-way between Quantico and my apartment.
As we get on the train, I ask Spencer about Agent Hotchner.
"Hotch? Well, he has been at the unit for twelve years now. Gideon, a former agent, told me once he didn't expect Hotch to last long in the BAU. But he proved him wrong. Indeed, Gideon left, and Hotch stayed. Honestly, I can't picture the BAU with another unit chief."
There is a fondness when Spencer talks about Hotchner. I can tell he sees him more than as a superior.
"What about yours?"
Now is my turn to talk about my boss.
"Agent Williams? He is a bureaucrat from head to toe. He had just transferred from another administrative department when I joined the financial division four years ago. At that time, he had ten years working with the FBI. The guy is a genius but lacks social skills. I'm not judging him; I'm a bit like him. But in his position, he needs to make politics, which involves talking and convincing people."
The conversation with Spencer flows so well and easily that I'm as impressed as I was the night of the gala.
When we reach the coffee shop, we sit facing each other. After ordering our coffee, we start talking about our coworkers.
"So Garcia is our technical analyst. I have to say she is like the team's heart. Besides her outstanding skills, her compassion and care are something out of this world," Spencer admits, and again, I feel the fondness in his voice.
"She seems very special," I add. Spencer nods.
"Very. I don't know what it's like to have a sister, but if I had one, I would have liked someone like her.
So he doesn't have a sister. Does he have brothers, though? We have yet to talk about our families, so this is the first piece of information I get about it.
"What about the guy who came to check what was happening with your girl at the gala?" I ask, and Spencer scoff.
"First of all, Ashley isn't my girl. I think she made it pretty clear that night. And secondly, the guy in question is Morgan, the culprit of why I was with Ashley in the first place."
That's interesting. I want to know more about that.
"How is that?" I ask, sipping my coffee.
Spencer tells me how Morgan insisted they talk to the girls - Ashley and her friends - and how he reluctantly followed him.
I'm about to make a not-so-kind remark when Spencer gets ahead of me.
"I know it may seem like he is a thoughtless person, but he truly means well. I can't entirely agree with his tactics most of the time, but he's right when he tells me I should enjoy more and work less."
"It's safe to say you weren't 'enjoying' that much there," I quip, air-quoting the word 'enjoying.' Spencer chuckles.
"Yeah. Honestly? I have more fun when Morgan kicks doors down in our field chases than when he tries to play wingman for me."
What? Kick doors down?
"Wait a minute. Are you telling me that the FBI had to spend thousands of dollars in repairs for third parties last year because of him?"
I know I'm being dramatic. It's impossible that just one agent destroyed that amount of dollars by kicking doors. But still.
Spencer's eyes widen.
"What? No! I mean, yes. He does that, but thousands of dollars? Last time I checked, doors are not that expensive."
I roll my eyes. That's not the point.
"Okay. I know it's not only Agent Morgan's doing, but did you know the buro's budget had increased by 4% last year due to refunds for field operations? And did you know 70% of that increase refers to agents shattering private property?"
Now, I sound like my boss. Great. I became what I swore to destroy.
Spencer looks at me with amusement. I narrow my eyes to him. "What?"
He clears his throat. "Oh. No, nothing. It's just - well, it's fascinating to hear you talking about - uh - numbers."
I can't help but snort. "Come on, how fascinating that can be?"
Spencer grins. "If anything, I find it educative," he parrots my words from that night, and we fall into a fit of laughs.
"Yeah?" I muse after the laughter subsides. Spencer nods, still a smile gracing his face.
Gosh, that smile.
"Well, I can talk about numbers all day. But I'm sure you don't want me to 'fascinate' you that much."
Spencer hums, faking be pondering his options.
"Don't tempt me. I like to know and talk about everything. But before returning to numbers, I want to ask about your coworkers. I already talked much about mine."
Even if there is not much to say, indulging him with an answer is only fair.
"What can I say? In my area, there are three: Anthony, Leah, and me. We were four then, but Andie was promoted to the eighth floor a year ago. Anthony is a good guy, a little inexperienced, but very eager to learn. We don't have a very close relationship, but he's my protegee at work. Leah is very clever and has enough experience, but sometimes she is not present, making things a little tense between us. Andie is rightfully my friend. We got to the bureau simultaneously, and although she doesn't work with us anymore, we are very close."
Spencer is looking at me with full attention. It's odd to talk about this kind of thing with someone. I don't like to talk about my bonds in general. It makes me feel vulnerable. But for a reason that I still don't get, with Spencer, it feels right.
It's night already, and we are in our third coffee.
"Do you usually drink this amount of coffee daily at this hour? I try to cut off my dosis after lunch, but sometimes I just can't," I point as I stir the spoon on my coffee. Spencer hums.
"I drink a lot of it at any time of the day, every day. It's worse when we are on cases because that shitty coffee at the precincts should not even be called coffee," he scoffs, pouring half of the sugar pot into his cup.
I have already noticed the amount of sugar Spencer has used in his two previous coffees; this third is not the exception.
"I'm sorry, but I have to ask," I say as my eyes dart to his sweet liquid. He follows my line of sight and chuckles.
"I love coffee, but I don't like its bitterness. I know it doesn't make sense, but for me it does."
"Fair enough."
After that, our conversation stumbles to lousy sleep habits.
"Ray hated it. Even once, he told me I purposely got up in the middle of the night to annoy him."
Spencer's brow furrows.
"Ray is your ex?"
Shit. I don't realize I'm talking about him.
Why do I have to mention him? I hate how ingrained he is still in my life.
"Yeah, Raymond. No wonder why things didn't work out between us," I try to joke because I don't want to cry about it anymore.
"An example of a man," Spencer follows my lead, and I'm grateful he doesn't look at me like people usually do when I talk about it. There is no pity. There is no that look saying, 'Oh, poor girl who got cheated on.' It's like a whole understanding. It doesn't make me feel like a failure. And that's a change—a good one.
I chuckle. "Hell, he is."
It's getting late, and it's time to part ways, even if I don't want it. Hours pass quickly with such good company.
"We should get going. It's late," I point as I glance at my phone. Spencer nods in acknowledgment, signaling the waitress to get the check. He is about to fish his wallet when I stop him.
"No. Don't do that. I invited you."
Spencer scoffs, opening his wallet nonetheless.
"No way. You invited me the other night. You can do it next time."
Next time, uh? I want to say something teasing, but the waitress returns with our check.
We are outside the coffee shop now. I adjust my coat as Spencer does the same with his suit jacket. The night is chilly, and the contrast with the warmth of the coffee shop is evident.
"Can I walk you home?" He offers. I have my doubts about that. It's not that I don't like the idea; I just don't want to use more of his time.
"You don't have to. Really," I shake my head.
"Please? You already said it. It's pretty late," he insists, looking at me with dog puppy eyes.
Why is he doing that? He is testing my resolve.
"You know I can take care of myself, right? I'm a certificated FBI agent. I can't carry a gun, but sure I could manage," I argue in a teasing tone. Spencer chuckles.
"I know you are. And I'm sure you could. Even though, why no to prolong our evening for fifteen minutes long?" I raise an eyebrow.
"So you really like my company, uh?"
I'm sure I see a blush creeping his cheeks, and it's endearing.
"I like your company. I thought I made it pretty clear the other night?" he probes. And I don't know how to respond to that.
The truth is quite curious. Teasing Spencer seems so natural sometimes, but now I don't know what to say.
I decide not to say anything and nod, motioning for us to start walking.
Spencer follows me, and we walk in silence for the first block. Then, I feel the need to continue our conversation. I want these fifteen minutes to be as good as the previous two hours.
"Did you know that I used to carry a gun? Although it took me three failed tests to do so."
Spencer looks at me, surprised. I take that as my cue to tell that story.
Once I tell him how I finally managed to pass my shooting test, he starts telling me how he also failed his test a couple of times.
"So you saved your boss life shooting an unsub?" Spencer nods.
"But I really aimed to his leg, not his head," he adds, and we burst into a fit of laughter.
Without realizing it, we are already in front of my building. The laughter subsides when we notice where we are.
I clear my throat. "Well. Uh-thank you. Again," I say, referring to him walking me home.
"No need," Spencer says. "I had a good time today," he adds, smiling.
I can't help but feel my cheeks burn. Spencer casts his eyes to the ground.
"Me too," I admit, biting my bottom lip. "I - uh."
Why am I so nervous right now? Just say what you want to say!
"I - uh. I'd really like to do this again. I mean, you know, maybe next time could be something planned?"
Spencer's eyes flick to mine. I would say he didn't expect me to say that.
"I would love that," he says, keeping eye contact. And for a moment, I think the breath leaves my lungs. Those eyes are something I didn't see in my life before. I can't describe it, but it's enough to make me speechless.
"I guess it's here when I ask for your number?" Spencer's voice is the one that brings me out of the trance.
I chuckle, mid-embarrassed by my absorption moment. I gesture for him to give me the phone. Spencer does it, and I advert his piercing gaze to focus on typing my number. Once done, I return the device with a playful smile. Jeez, I feel like a damn teenager.
A snort leaves Spencer's lips when he sees the name I used for my contact.
"Really?" He asks. I nod, chuckling.
"It's safe to say you won't forget who I am," I confirm.
"Bet I won't."
"Good. Now I'm going to come up," I gesture to the building. "Good night, Spencer."
"Good night, (Y/N)."
I turn to enter the building, and although I can't see him, I feel him standing there in the cold night until I disappear into the elevator.
Once I cross the threshold of my apartment, a ding comes from my phone. Frowning, I pick it up.
Unknown number: Are you free on Saturday at midday? We could go to lunch. Let me know. Good night. SR.
I bit my lower lip. And after typing a reply, I start my night routine before bed.
Oh, boy. What are you getting into (Y/N)?
Whatever it is, it feels so good.

is it over now? (was it over then?)
part three
part four: say the one thing i've been wanting
Steve had been dreading actually talking about this with Robin. He hadn't wanted to put her in a position to feel like she had to come out or stop using him as a plus one to industry parties to fuel rumors. Even as he and Eddie pretty publicly dated Robin's agent and most tabloids still thought Robin and Steve were a couple some even going as far as insinuating Eddie was Steve's side piece or their third.
"Steve, you're kind of scaring me, what's going on?"
"Birdie, I'm only telling you this because I can't not anymore but I want you to know nothing is your fault and I literally don't need you to do anything. I just need to be able to talk to my best friend and in order to do that I kind of have to get through this uncomfortable part," Steve answered.
"Anything, Steve. Whatever you need," Robin said.
"Okay, so Eddie and I kind of broke up because Eddie assumed I was cheating on him with Nance when she came to visit earlier this year. He got really upset and kind of blocked me from any way of contacting him so there was no way to clear anything up after he left but he definitely assumed I was cheating on him and he wrote that fucking song and I just need to talk to you without leaving out this really huge massive reason why Eddie left and why I still feel like total shit," Steve rushed to cover the main points.
"Steve, hun," Nance comforted. She probably guessed something else was going on but had been understanding enough not to press Steve for more.
"Steve, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault," Robin started catastrophizing.
"Can you please stop saying my name. It's kind of freaking me out," Steve joked, "Robs, it's totally not your fault at all. It was a shitty situation I could have handled better and so could Eddie but there's really nothing to do about it know because I can't explain it to him and he clearly doesn't want me to so we are moving on, all right?" Steve attempted to keep the energy light.
"If that's what you want, sure babe," Robin said.
"I just want to stop going down Tik Tok rabbit holes of Eddie's stupid song without being able to complain to you about how fucking tired I am of not being able to do anything," Steve said, "and also I want so much ice cream and a really stupid TV marathon with my best girls and maybe roast Eddie's new song a little bit."
Nancy had already pulled up doordash and they were soon on their way to eating a smorgasbord of snacks and ice cream while watching reality TV and eventually dissolving into a karaoke session initially overdramatically singing along to Eddie's new single and ending with some old school Taylor (her version of course). Steve was feeling better than he had in a long time and started getting out of the fog he'd been in since Eddie had left.
Eventually, Steve started answering his agent's emails again and submitting tape for different roles. He'd gotten a part in a small indie film in Italy and Steve was pretty ready to take it. It was an interesting part, it was literally away from everyone he knew, the director was kind of weird and didn't let his cast use socials while filming and encouraged only phone calls and old school letters to really get into the period mindset. It was honestly kind of a perfect next project and it helped that the script was actually kind of great.
"As long as you aren't going because you're running away, Steve. You know I don't want you to leave and you shouldn't feel like you have to," Robin said as he was starting to pack his bags.
"I really like the project. It's a good script and I get to get out of my own head for a while. Kind of perfect honestly. The shoot is pretty short its only like four weeks so I won't be gone that long and you and Nancy can keep holing up in my apartment without me getting in the way!" Steve answered.
"You're never in the way, dingus," Robin nudged him and then brought him into a hug, "we'll just miss you kiddo."
"I'll miss you too, Bobbie. Now let me go so I can pack." Steve pulled away with a bigger smile than he'd had in weeks.

"Have you always been so damn ugly?"
"Hahaha...Fuck you."
PLATONIC ALASTOR X GN!READER
Warning: bit of a small oc.
Tumblr media
YOU SIGHED LAYING on your bed tired like always as your counterpart, Neno is beside you purring. His black shadowy body hold you as you face the ceiling. It's not like you are a depressed person who has no social energy battery and stay in your room not wanting to talk to people. Of course you totally aren't like that...
You heard a static noise outside your door, you narrow your eyes seeing a red glow outside your door. "What the fuck..." you say to yourself seeing the glow. Neno opens his white glowing eyes as he lets go of your body and moves swiftly to the door. It seems like he know who it is as you get off your bed and open the door.  And there he is, the radio demon who smiles down at you.
"Why hello my shadowy fellow/madam!" He says entering your room as you tried to protest him entering. "Well this won't do!" He pulls open your curtain windows to let the light in. Neno hisses going into your shadow as your eyebags show. Alastor smiles that shit eating grin as he sits on your bed. "Well? Why don't you sit down my dear friend, we got things to discuss!" You just stand there side eyeing him.
"Have you always been so damn ugly?" Is what you said that came into your mind.
"Hahaha...Fuck you." Alastor says staring at you waving got you to sit with him.
No way in hell are you talking to the radio demon.
AND HERE YOU are ranting about how shitty your morning went about how you felt like shit and how you felt no motivation or feelings at all. Alastor just stares and nod with a smile listening to you. You don't even know why you are actually venting to him about. Sometimes with yourself, you have these weird feelings where you can't feel anything but you aren't depressed. You just can't understand some things really.
Alastor stops you from going into deep context as he smiles thinking of something. "Why don't we go for a walk my dear friend!" He says enthusiastic. You just stare at him with a blank stare...."I'm not your frie-" Alastor snaps his fingers as he has you in an outfit that seems a bit old timey. Kinda seems off the way you dressed back in the 2000's but you liked the color palette it has.
Your hair looked better as you smile looking at Neno who gave you a thumbs up with Alastor and his own shadow counterpart. "Okay! Not bad old man." "I am not an old man" he says with a slight twitch in his eye. "Whatever man" you say chuckling softly at him. Next thing you know you go picked up onto alastor's shoulder with a blank confused face as he takes you out your room.
"Now let's go on an adventure. Can't let you rot in your room like some kind of corpse dear!"
YOU "WALKED" around pentagram city still on alastor's shoulder as he hums a tune while you just sat there in his shoulder like a little kid leaving sea world/ Disney world with their father.
"Where are we even going Alastor...."
"Somewhere~" he said in a song tune way.
You just sighed as he wasn't even giving you a straight answer. You felt a "bling" in your pocket. That must be your hell phone. You looked at it to see the contact, "BIG BOSS🔥" calling you. You answer him hearing a bunch of quacks and tools hitting the ground.
"Heyyyyy....ducklinggg" you heard Lucifer says awkwardly. "Hello. Sir." You said flatly. Lucifer's silly smile faltered hearing your flat tone as he sighs.
"Listen I'm sorry I didn't order you right the things for you. I was busy." You heard another quack and a squeak.
"Busy making a doll house for your ducks?"
".....low blow but I can send you your favorite pastry!" He says excitedly on his end of the phone.
You stayed quiet this time but smile showing your sharp teeth, "sure man. I'll forgive you." "FANTASTIC! I'll see you in 2 hours!"
"Wait wh-" and the phone hang up.
Why the hell he said he was gonna order them to you, but come in person...
NOW YOU WERE confused even more as you reach a part of town you didn't even know. Alastor smiles as you see demons with black eyes like those were cartoons you use to watch back then. But the town seems lovely and lively as you see a person giving out cotton candy.
Your eyes light up, catching the taller male's attention as he smirks turning his walking direction to the cotton candy stand.
"Hello mister, I would like one cotton candy for the little lady/fellow on my beloved shoulder." Alastor said as you felt embarrassed by how some people watched you as you fidget with your fingers. The man nods with a sharp teethed smile and gave Alastor, who gives you your cotton candy.
You smile awkwardly taking the cotton candy from Alastor and ate it. You gotta admit it was tasty as fuck! The candy melted on your tongue and your eyes lit up like shimmering glitter in a summer sun. Alastor smile softly at you and turns to building while you eat. As Alastor enters you heard a ladies voice.
"Yeah, and I would eat my husband too!"
You turn to see a lady who is wearing an old timey fit and she is very tall, slender-built demon with pale gray skin, and a wide mouth full of sharp light pink teeth, black-colored lips and dusty-pink cheeks. Her eyes are pitch-black.
You always liked to look at people sometimes to observe, it's a weird habit of yours at times but you must admit this lady was beautiful.
"Oh Rosie dear!"
"Alastor hon!" The lady says cheery as she walks to Alastor and you. You hopped off of Alastor landing on Neno who held his hand for you to softly get on the ground. The two overlords hug as you finally noticed who she was. She was the one Alastor told you about sometimes.
"Oh and who is this cutie! Aw I could just eat you up!"
"Please don't." You said with an awkward smile as she pinches your cheek like a granny.
She chuckles putting a hand to her face, "oh don't worry, Alastor told me all about you and how such a dearie you are to him at times."
You raised a brow at that. "Really?" You looked at Alastor who seems to be ignoring your gaze as you just scrunched your face up in confusion.
"Why yes! You're the [animal/shadow] demon he was talking about!" She says as she cups her hands in your. Neno watches as he swirls around your body and playful nibbles on Rosie who chuckles. "And this much be your pet!" "Counter part actually.." Rosie had a surprised look as she looks into Neno's eyes which is pure white, opposite from Rosie's own eyes.
"Well isn't that swell..."
Tumblr media
(I'm tired so I can't finish the part where you get to hang out with Lucifer again. My head ache and me being drowsy as shit isn't helping. Hope you enjoyed this)

MORE ON SUB GOO!! I have found you, and you are gonna be the target for the rest of my life. Your writing is awsome. It always leaves me craving for more!
LOOKISM
⋆ — sub goo .ᐟ ﹙kim goo﹚ .
warning:: gender neu. reader , sub character & nsfw .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
sub goo is my favorite goo.
overall, it started as an experiment. that's where his little 'problem' started. he didn't exactly like to be bossed around, especially by someone whose suppose to serve him.
however, the moment you promised him money for every little thing he did, he was so happy. he did everything. still, he hasn't explored anything so sexual.
apart from the stares he'd feel on his ass when he'd bend over to pick something up.
he was flattered honestly.
there were also those words you would tell him when he did a good job. looks amazing, you're the cutest, my good boy.
my good boy.
his chest tightens up and his eyes are automatically cast down like a typical shy schoolgirl. a light blush would spread across his cheeks but he wasn't going to show you that.
you obviously noticed.
maybe he just felt uncomfortable with those words, and maybe that's why he acts like that.
which is why you stopped with the praises.
problem was — he continued to follow your orders like a dumb pup. it also could've been because he wanted to hear those words again yet they never left your mouth. you simply nod in thanks and left him be.
when goo gets fed up he quickly drops the rag in his hands on the floor, am i doing a good job, am i?
he wants to hear you say he's doing good, for you to guide him when he messed up. heck, he isn't even your cleaner and he just drops by and ends up cooking and cleaning everything!
a little more praise won't hurt.
he wants to hear it from your lips.
i just know his dumbass searched on google about his obsession. 'why do i like getting praised?', 'is it healthy for a man to be praised by a rich person?', 'how do i get someone to praise me'.
through those searches he'd fall into a rabbit hole of multiple videos of sub men. he most likely didn't even know they existed 😭
and that's how he realized he liked it. he liked the thought of you doing everything he saw in the videos.
following that, he'd confront you (very horribly, might i add). you were on a phone call when he suddenly burst into your office.
"do you wanna fuck me?!"
you spun in his direction, eyes wide. his clothes weren't ironed and his hair wasn't combed to perfection like he always had it. he ran here on foot.
you hung up on the phone abruptly, "pardon?"
goo swallows nervously, "why do you pay me for no reason?"
"...i don't have a valid reason," you squinted your eyes, where was he going with this? "i just thought it was cute to mess with you."
"oh.."
a tense silence falls over him, he slumps down in a chair and rubs at his face.
you nod after a while, "yes, i could keep paying you if you'd like."
huh?
"for sex?!" he was over the moon when you agreed. it was your goal after all — a very shitty goal, yes.
his eyes flutter shut in embarrassment when you took charge. he hated feeling like a caged animal yet, he somehow really enjoyed it. it caused something to stir in his stomach and he was pushed past a limit he didn't even know he had.
he found out he enjoyed being bossed around, especially in public spaces. where everyone could tell he was head over heels.
the fake blond whines when you push him against the bathroom stall. he was quick to throw his head back to allow you to attack his neck with open-mouthed kisses. "you–... you were taking too long!"
goo had been patient enough to wait for an hour at your meeting, as long as he was going to get a 'reward' for his good behavior but one hour turned into two, and then three. he no longer had the patience
"gives you no right to whine like a pathetic slut." he keens when you kiss under his ear, teeth biting gently at the lobe.
his fingers curl into your hair to pull you closer to him, as close as he could bring you. he pouts when you don't budge.
"i'm sorry."
he never truly was.
sub goo loves when you're angry. he wants you to take all your stress out on him. pull his hair, manhandle him, touch him however you want.
the best way to make him beg for forgiveness is to never give him what he wants.
what is it?
he wants it faster? you go slower and gentle. he wants you to slow down? you go faster and harder.
he wants you to get angry? take a deep breath and stay calm.
you sigh deeply before taking a step away from him. he cries at the loss. "i forgive you. now let's get out of here."
his chest heaves rapidly, you're going to leave him like this? with hickeys on his neck and a tent in his pants?
his eyes swell up with tears. he watches silently as the door shuts behind you, still pressed up against the stall.
"no!"

Charter Ch. 4
Tumblr media
Warnings: mentions of drug use, jealousy, violence, jj being a tease, protected sex
I didn’t know who this woman was just by looking at her but the moment she opened her mouth and JJ went rigid, I knew she was his ex. I could tell just by looking at her that there was a reason JJ was a single parent and most likely had full custody. She looked rough. Her clothes were dirty and barely fit her, her hair was matted and unwashed, her eyes red and glassy. The red marks on her arms told me all I needed to know and my heart broke for him. And Summer.
“I’m not doing this with you, Chelsea. Leave.” JJ barked, the tension radiating off him. I’d never seen him so angry. Chelsea smirked, her red eyes shooting to me and formed to a scowl.
“You the slut riding his cock this week?” My own chest flared with anger but JJ waved her off.
“Stop it. She’s my employee. And I’ve got nothing else to say to you.” JJ moved to open his truck door but she blocked his path.
“I want to see my daughter.” She bit out. JJ leaned in, his lips pulling back in a snarl.
“She’s mine. So until you get a fucking lawyer, stay away from us. Stay away from my shop and stay away from my employees.” I couldn’t move or breathe as I watched their stand off.
“You took her away from her mother! What kind of father does that?!”
“One that loves her enough to protect her no matter who it fucking is. You almost killed her. Then you left her in the NICU and didn’t look back. I took care of her, I raised her, I paid off the medical bills, not you. Having sex doesn’t make you a fucking parent so get out of my face.” JJ yanked his truck door open, shooting me an apologetic look as she stumbled to the side with a scoff.
I turned away, having heard enough, and jumped into my own car. His ex continued to yell and scream profanities even after we drove away.
Tumblr media
JJ had barely said two words the whole next shift. I could tell that a storm was brewing and that he was stressed. He was no shittier than normal yet I knew it wasn't directed at me. The guy had a lot on his plate and an ex he clearly wanted nothing to do with so I left him to his thoughts while we worked. I felt the need to apologize for pushing and complicating matters further but he'd disappeared to the back with empty boxes.
"Hey Y/N, long time no see." My heart sank as I looked up from my catalog to see Jared, the Kook I'd been hooking up with before JJ. The one I ghosted.
"Hey, how are ya?" I forced a smile, hoping JJ stayed in the back awhile longer.
"I'm good. How are you? I've called and texted a few times but you never answered me.
"Yea, I, uh--."
"Are you seeing someone?"
"Well, not really but--."
"Y/N." We both looked to JJ who now stood with his arms crossed at the register. His eyes didn't hide their distaste for the guy in front of me. Jared only smirked, his gaze letting JJ know that he felt the same way. "Y/N, it's closing time. Lock up." JJ said, dismissing Jared with another shitty look before taking the cash drawer and disappearing in the back.
"Guess I'm not buying anything." Jared chuckled, leaning across the counter on his elbows.
"Yea." I chuckled humorlessly as I rounded the counter and moved to the door. Jared followed, his eyes no doubt checking me out. I moved to let him exit when his hand splayed across my lower back, pulling me towards him.
"Jared." I pushed at his chest, taking a step back with a sigh. His hands fell but he didn't step away, his eyes dark.
"We had fun didn't we? Why did you ghost me?"
"Jared, please go. I'm at work. This is not the place." I waved my hand at the door but he didn't budge.
"When is the place? You never answer me when I call or text. You deleted me off social media. How else am I supposed to talk to you?" Jared stepped towards me again, his glare predatory as he sized me up.
"I'm not--." I pushed against his chest but he took it as an invitation, pulling me closer by my hips and making me feel how hard he was. My stomach twisted in a knot, my lips pulling back in a snarl.
"Do you still have your nipples pierced? I always liked looking at them when you rode me." Jared murmured in a low, sultry voice that sent alarm bells off in my head.
"Remove yourself from my shop before I do it for you." I jumped back at the sound of JJ's voice, Jared barely lowering his hands and stepping back to look at JJ.
"Your shop? Like a fucking Pogue like you could actually own anything." Ugh. I suddenly remembered why I hated Jared outside the bedroom.
"My name is on the fucking sign, dipshit."
"Yea I've heard about you. The druggies son who's also a liar and a thief." Jared turned to me, "Be careful with this one, he'll steal your shit if it's not bolted to the floor."
"Jared, fucking leave."
"Is it him you're fucking? Had to resort to Pogue dick?" JJ stepped forward and Jared smiled, puffing out his chest as he grinned sadistically at JJ.
"I won't tell you again. Get out." JJ warned, his blue eyes blazing. Jared leaned in, his eyes finding mine.
"She still got that tattoo on her spine? I always did like running my tongue up it or covering it in cum." JJ moved fast, his hand wrapping around Jared's throat, his other fisting his shirt as he all but hauled him from the shop. I moved to race after him but he shoved him down on the dock with a snarl.
"Don't come back." JJ warned, turning on his heel as Jared coughed and laughed on the ground, his face beat red. I stepped back inside as JJ appeared in the door, locking it behind him and leveling me with a dangerous glare. I didn't know what to say as we looked at each other, his body shaking with rage.
"He doesn't come back in this shop. Ever." JJ finally bit out, his nostrils flared. I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat.
"If I see him so much as look at you again I'll--." JJ trailed off, clamping his mouth shut like he's said too much. He takes a deep breath before speaking again, "So you fuck Kooks, huh?" The anger zaps through me again and I scoff, taking a step back from him.
"Oh, shut up. You're technically Kook now." I spat and he lunges, making me squeal as he throws me over his shoulder and walks to the back.
"I'm not a fucking Kook." JJ growls, slapping my ass hard as he rounds the corner and sits me on the workbench. I shove my hair from my face, panting as I glare up at him.
"What's your problem? I didn't do anything. I didn't bring him here." I move to slide off the workbench but he's suddenly there, shoving my legs apart and positioning himself there, caging me in.
"No, you never do, do you? You only get inside my fucking head and my fucking bed and tear me up inside but sure, you didn't do anything. Then you let that motherfucker put his hands on you and look at you like he's been inside you and--." I shove at his chest.
"You have a child. You don't get to act jealous. We aren't exclusive. You made that very fucking clear from the beginning. I can't help if guys want to come crawling back for more."
"Who can blame them? This pussy is so fucking good I'm surprised you don't have wedding proposals waiting."
"Maybe I do." My chest heaved with every word while my body burned and ached for him. The way he looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive had me buzzing with need. And wet. So fucking wet.
"I thought fucking you would get you out of my system." JJ bites out, leaning in so close I think he's going to kiss me. My heart skips a beat, my stomach filling with butterflies as his hands rest on top of my thighs at the edge of my shorts. He’s so close to touching me where I need..
“But it only made it worse.” JJ whispers, licking his lips and I nearly moan, needing his mouth on me.
“I want you. Not just here. I want you in a fucking bed. I want to lay down and eat your pussy until you cry. Until you’re ripping my hair out. Then I want to flip you over onto your stomach and fuck you until you cum so hard you forget the name of every guy that’s ever been inside you before me.” I lean in to kiss him but he pulls back an inch, a cocky smirk on his lips.
“I want you in my truck. On the beach. In the shower. At the fucking movies. On the side of the road. On the floor.” I couldn’t breathe. My core was pulsing in sync with my heartbeat. My panties were soaked. I was so empty and begging to be filled by him. There was a roaring in my ears.
“What’s wrong? You turned on? You want more?” JJ taunts.
“Stop teasing me.”
“Maybe now you feel a fraction of what I feel when I’m around you.” His lips finally meet mine and everything in me comes alive.
It’s not until he’s taken me on every surface in the back do we finally break apart, flushed and panting. I finally got him completely naked and it’s a beautiful sight as he stands there catching his breath, blonde hair stuck to his forehead and his lips wet with.. me.
“Stop looking at me like that or I’ll get hard again.” JJ smirks, letting his eyes trail over me in the same suggestive way. I chuckle, slowly pulling on my clothes even as my body protests with every ache and sore muscle I feel.
“I guess we both have crazy exs we’d rather forget.” I say, pulling my shirt on over my head as he starts to get dressed. JJ only nods, scooping up the condom wrapper off the floor and tossing it in the trash as he gets dressed.
“You know I have an IUD, right? You don’t have to wear those if you don’t want to.” My cheeks heat just thinking about his cum inside me.
“Yea a girl telling me she was on birth control is how I got into this mess.” JJ huffs sarcastically, buttoning his shorts. I can’t help the shot in the gut I feel as I wince at his words. I shake it off, narrowing my eyes at him.
“Not every girl you sleep with is going to turn out like your ex but I’m sure if you reach up in there far enough you can feel it and check for yourself.” I try to shove past him but JJ catches my arm, pinning my back against the wall. He’s smirking and I hate him.
“I’ve been in your guts plenty of times and I’ve never felt anything but I’ll take your word for it.” He breathes, letting his gaze fall to my lips. God, I hate him.
“Whatever.” I mumble, yanking my hand free of his grasp and pushing him away. JJ smirks, caging me in again and bringing his lips to my ear. If he doesn’t stop, I’m going to be ready for round two.
“Trust me, there’s nothing I want more than to feel you bare.” JJ whispers, his lips brushing the spot below my ear. “But I have a bit of a breeding kink so for now, I have to wear condoms. Maybe if you’re good, I’ll let you have it raw.” I grit my teeth, my pussy pulsing in response. He was fucking baiting me again. JJ pulled back with a smirk, pecking me on the lips and sauntering to the alarm panel to finish closing.
Suddenly I wanted nothing more than I feel him raw and that terrified me.

"These arms are always yours, love"
soft!Jason Todd x overstimulated!fem!Reader
WARNINGS: graphic description of skin picking?? (not self-harm)
Today was going to be a shitty day.
The moment your eyes cracked open to an absence of sun peeking through the window, you knew outside was going to be gloomy.
You turned your head to face your nightstand, but in doing so, increase your awareness on how the sheets feel on your body. Were they always this rough? Surely the fabric softener did its job, right?
Groaning, you made your way out of bed, your feet planting themselves on the small rug on your side of the bed. It was a soft contrast from your now-cold, rough sheets.
As you took a step toward your dresser, you felt a crunch beneath your left foot. Though it was dark, you could make out the leftover potato chip crumbs from the bag Jason was eating before he went on patrol for the night.
You asked him not to eat it there to prevent this exact scenario, but here you fucking are.
Now, you were annoyed at not only the fact that the sun in Gotham is apparently having the same shitty day as you, but now you also have to clean up something that shouldn't be there in the first place.
Thankfully, it was a Sunday, meaning you had Jason all day to make more fucking messes. Yay.
Your spitefulness wasn't warranted, but in the moment, you didn't care.
As you carried on picking the remains of the food off of your foot, Jason stirs on the bed, scanning the other half of the bed with his arms. Seeing that he can't find what he's looking for, he relents and opens his eyes.
Jason knows something is up.
But, he won't push. Not yet.
"why're you s'far away?" he slurs, half awake and starting to shiver since he flung the covers off looking for you.
You wanted to answer him, you wanted to jump back in his arms and hold onto the scent of his skin forever, but you were too annoyed and anxious to say anything.
"No reason." you quip. Far too snappy for such a groggy early morning. Jason knows you've been up for a while now.
Before any more words could potentially be exchanged, you tugged on a pair of clean sweatpants and one of your own shirts. Usually, you would wear one of Jason's to the point where you genuinely forgot you had your own drawer full of clothes.
You storm your way out of the room quickly and go straight to the bathroom to take off your bonnet and fix your hair.
Lo and behold, the twist out didn't work out as intended, and now your hair didn't look as you wanted. The curls were wonky, there was almost no volume, and the back was still wet.
Your frustrated eyes land on Jason's clippers. Through and impulsive rage, you wanted to take it to your head and juts be done with it. This was not the first time your hair didn't work out, nor the first time you wanted to cut all of it off.
Suddenly back in reality, you begin to feel guilty for snapping at Jason earlier, and thinking so badly of him.
God, is this who I am?
All you wanted to do was burst back in there and hug him and tell him that you didn't mean it and that you were sorry and-
Hot tears began streaming down your face, burning rivers into your sullen face. Above all, you craved Jason, but he deserved the sleep and peace on the rare occasions he has to relax. Why couldn't you be peaceful?
You covered your sobs, which only made your feelings worse. The bathroom tile was too cold, but you were too warm at the same time.
It was so dark but too bright. Your skin felt hot but frigid at the same time.
Every quick expansion of your lungs pushing against your ribcage hurt badly. It didn't help that you were beginning to hyperventilate.
Speaking of hyperventilation, you soon realized that even though you weren't sobbing anymore , you couldn't breathe.
Your lungs were taking in all the air around you but also none at all, and you felt lightheaded.
At the same time, your skin began to itch from the beads of sweat surfacing, and your sharp nails began to dig into your skin to scratch it.
Drag after drag of nails on your skin caused it to feel raw and exposed.
While you were caught in your own whirlwind, you didn't hear Jason call out to you. Or his frantic footsteps when you didn't respond. Or his pleas for you to open your eyes and pay attention to him.
Jason was beyond worried when he saw you, panicked and frightened, digging into your skin and rushed to stop you.
He gently pried your fingers from your skin and made a mental note to talk to you about it later.
"Hey shhh baby, no more of that...it hurt's doesn't it?" he cooed as he began to hold your sharp fingers in his hands.
You nod tentatively, still trying to will air to stay in your lungs for longer than half a second.
"Alright princess, you're gonna breathe with me, okay?" Jason says as he tries to hide how concerned he was in effort to keep you as calm as possible.
"Okay breathe in" he begins, eyes trained on your eyes and hands massaging your palms.
You follow his prompts to the best of your abilities, trying to control your breaths the way he does.
After a few cycles of calm breathing, the guilt has nested itself fully in the pits of your stomach.
How could he be so kind after you thought so ill of him juts a few moments ago?
Surely you didn't deserve this.
Surely, he was playing a sick joke on you.
There's no way that he could actually lo-
"Princess? You here with me?" Jason's calm voice cutting through your thoughts.
You look up at him, shame set deep in your eyes.
"I'm so-"
"Nope." he quips with practices ease.
"But I-" you try again, this time determined.
"No. You will not apologize to me for being human." He insists as he rests his forehead against yours.
You close your eyes at the contact, a stark contrast to the sickly feeling your skin had moments ago.
Your eyes begin to sting once more as thoughts of being undeserving of such kindness resurface. You turn your head away from him and haul yourself up from the floor in effort to avoid him seeing you cry again.
As you turn away to step out the door, barely holding back a sob, Jason's warm, soft hand catches your wrist. Gently, he pulls you back into him and wraps his strong arms around you.
Careful not to crush you, he squeezes, physically pressing all his love for you into the hug as you continued to cry softly.
"'m not upset baby, I promise i'm not" Jason reassures as he rocks you in his arms.
He is all too familiar with the guilt you're feeling and so desperately wishes he could make it go away. He knows what it's like to say and think hurtful things you don't necessarily mean about the people you love.
His arms begin to rub at your back, soothing your inner hurt. You felt safe, calm and protected in his embrace.
Slowly, you calmed and your sobs were reduced to sniffles.
Jason tried to let go and move you, but you clung to his tighter in silent refusal.
He chuckles at you gripping his shirt and barely shaking your head that was buried in his chest.
"Alright, alright. These arms are always yours, love."

"Shitty Free Pizza"
Hobie Brown x reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Reader gets broken up with, swearing, crying
A/n: ALRIGHT, FREAKS. I WROTE THE PART 2. Requests are open 😗✌️
"I'm going on break."
That was all you said to your four coworkers before grabbing your jacket and walking outside. You walked to the side of the building and sat on the curb.
Your boyfriend had just broken up with you. Over text. While you were at work. You didn't know what to do, how to react.
You pulled out your phone and read over the message he'd sent you. And then you read it again, and again, and again.
He'd made two typos. The asshole breaks up with you over text and he can't even be bothered to read over the message before sending it.
You didn't know what to do. You didn't want to cry over this asshole, you really didn't want to. But, despite what you wanted, tears began to roll down your cheeks; and once you started, you couldn't stop.
You put your head in your hands and sobbed. You probably looked pathetic. A Domino's employee, still in uniform, sitting in the parking lot and crying. How embarrassing.
"Oi!" You lifted and turned your head. A tall man dressed in clothes that were way cooler than yours was looking at you. "You alright?" He asked.
"Obviously not." The reply came out sounding a bit more condescending than you'd intended.
The man didn't seem to mind. He chuckled. "Guess I probably could've figured that one out on my own, huh?" The man stepped closer. "What's bothering you?"
You briefly considered calling the dude nosy and telling him to fuck off, but something made you stop.
He didn't seem ill intentioned...
You looked down at the concrete. "My boyfriend just broke up with me over text."
"Really?"
You nodded.
"What a prick. Y'mind if I sit down?" He gestured to the slab of concrete next to where you were sitting. You shrugged and he took that as a yes.
He sat with his elbows resting on his knees. "And he did this while you were at work too?" He asked.
You nodded again.
"That's fucked."
"I just..." You didn't know why you were talking to this guy you didn't even know. But, then again, you didn't really care at this point. "I feel stupid for crying over it."
"Why?"
"Because you're right!" You said exasperatedly. "He's a prick and what he did was fucked. And here I am, crying over this asshole. It's pathetic."
He hummed. "I get that." He tilted his head toward you. "But, once you're done crying, are you gonna try to get him back?"
You furrowed your brows in confusion. You weren't even gonna consider that. "No."
Are you gonna be sad about this for years to come?"
"No."
"Y'gonna give up dating altogether and insist that he left an unfillable hole in your heart?"
"Why are you asking me this shit?"
"Because if you were really pathetic, you probably would've said something other than no to those questions."
You paused, letting his words marinate. And then you chuckled. "Yeah. Sure."
"I'm serious!" He laughed. "There's a lot worse things to do in this situation than just crying."
"I guess you're right." You sighed. "But, still. I don't think venting to a stranger is one of the better things to do."
He chuckled. "I'm Hobie."
"I'm Y/n." You were surprised that this random guy was actually making you feel better. But, you weren't gonna complain.
"Now we're not strangers. Which hopefully means you'll tell me a little more about yourself and about this whole breakup."
You, once again, considered calling him nosey. But, for some reason, you weren't opposed to the idea of telling him more.
"Well," You began. "He and I had been dating for 5 months, for the first three or four months, he was really sweet. But... I don't know. This last month he was being really distant and he was always seeming kind of disinterested in me."
"So, was there any real reason for the breakup?" He asked.
"It was sort of out of nowhere. We didn't have a big argument or anything."
"This guy really does sound like a prick." Hobie scoffed. "I've only just met you, but you seem pretty cool."
"Thanks."
"Yeah. Besides who'd ever wanna break up with someone who could get them free pizza?" He smirked playfully.
You couldn't help but laugh. "Shitty free pizza." You corrected him.
He shrugged. "Doesn't matter if the food's shitty, long as it's free."
You opened your mouth to reply to him when someone called your name, one of your coworkers.
"It's been 20 minutes." Your coworker said, peeking their head around the corner of the building.
You sighed and got up. "I've gotta go." You told Hobie as you stuffed your hands into the pockets of your jacket. "Thanks for keeping me company."
"It's no problem. I enjoyed it." He said, smiling up at you.
You wanted to ask for his number, or his socials, whatever. But, you'd just gotten out of a breakup. It felt wrong asking for someone's number so soon, even if it wasn't really with romantic intentions. So instead, you just said goodbye and went back to work.
You got inside and were taking your jacket off.
"Who was that guy you were talking to?" Your coworker asked.
You glanced over at them and shrugged. "A stranger."
"He was really hot."
You paused before signing. "Yeah, he was."

die for me - jj. m.
Tumblr media
trap!jj x reader
jj keeps his circle small, and that’s on purpose. he knows better than anyone. now he’s got you and he needs to make sure you’re down to ride
Tumblr media
first time jj tested you it was simple--ride with him during a drop off and keep quiet. he didn't tell you it was a test, but it was common sense. a compulsory nod was all you gave the other person as you sat next to him and looked as disinterested as possible, even though your heart was pounding.
you passed. next was test two.
just hold onto some weed for him. nothing crazy. jj didn't ask you to sell it or anything. just keep it safe in your dorm, don't let it get stolen and you were good.
room checks and all you managed to keep it safe, the proud grin alone made your heart soar. but then he called you his girl, and things started to feel more real. already you were going where no other girl has and you were elated.
all things considered, you were proving yourself, moreso than any other girl had in the past and this wasn't something jj took lightly at all. you relinquished control to him with such little fight it made him want to see how far you were willing to go.
it was supposed to be like any other night--you ride along for the drop off, sitting quietly until you could relax at the party.
something was off, jj gave you a beer earlier, to "relax your nerves" but you felt frazzled and out of control. the seatbelt was digging into your chest and you couldn't stop fidgeting with it, your skin burned and time seemed to be moving too slow with each movement. out of the corner of your eye you swore jj was smiling at you like the devil.
"feelin alright over there?" there was a laugh in his voice, or at least you thought so. a sharp pain in your thigh brought your attention to how hard he was gripping you, trees and houses flew past your vision as jj sped down the backroads.
"y-yeah..?" it was a lie, and he knew it. but again you said nothing, "that-that beer you gave me-"
"what about it."
there was a beat, you sucked in a breath as he took a sharp turn, "it was good. can i get another?" there was nothing you wanted less as the pads of your feet seemed to numb.
jj laughed for real this time, "nah sugar, you don't need another one. could give you somethin else though."
before you could reply you could see blue and red lights flashing behind you and jj cursed, pulling over frantically.
"shit. i'ma realllly listen to what i tell you, take this." he pulls a gun from his waistband and shoves it in your lap.
"what am i-?"
"look at me, look at me, everything's gonna be cool, just do what i tell you okay? keep quiet, keep it hidden and let papa handle it."
you only had a few more seconds to get your bearings, heart pounding as you slid the gun into the tattered upholstery of your seat and tried your best to sober up before you were almost blinded by a flashlight, "now jj, why am i not surprised. you realize how fast you were going."
breathe, keep calm, it's just shoupe, just a speed trap. there was no reason to panic.
"what'd you say young lady?"
you don't remember speaking at all, but you could feel jj tense up.
he lets out a terse laugh, "don't listen to her. look it's the middle of the night, i had a long day, we really just wanna go home."
the older man lets out a long pause, and you squint when he aims the flashlight at you, "are you sure you're alright?"
without thinking you smile, whole body relaxing when you respond with a yawn, "all good, just, look shoupe. it's 3 am, there's nobody here and if anything it's my fault. i've been nagging him to get home all night, my feet hurt, my back's tight, i'm hungry, and i've had a shitty week at work and-" you began to really play it up, getting more frantic and neurotic as you watched shoupe transform from suspicious to uncomfortable while you pushed yourself near tears into hysterics, "fuck i just wanna go home, every time i try something happens when i just wanna be in bed!"
"alright, alright jesus. look i'll let you off with a warning, just this once so you can calm down. please get this young lady home in one piece jj."
jj loosens his grip on the steering wheel, his smile tight as he waves him off, "whatever you say moustache."
shoupe sighs, shaking his head as he walks off and jj sinks into his seat with a huff, turning to you with a grin on his face as he pulls you in for a deep kiss, "don't know how i got lucky with smart girl like you, most girls don't even make it this far."
giggling, you release a shaky breath, "i told you, i'm quick on my feet."
he gives you one last kiss as you pull off, but you only make it a couple miles before he's shutting the lights off and parking behind a tree.
"wait, jj you said we were goin home?"
he unbuckles his seatbelt, turning the music up slightly while he adjusts his seat back, "we are, but i figure my girl deserves somethin special after what you pulled off back there."
the sun's coming up by the time you make it back.

Explosive tendencies a slow burn fan fiction about the readers developing relationship with Katsuki Bakugo.
Chapter fourteen: You visit Katsuki.
Chapter links
Tumblr media
You puttered around your room trying to keep yourself busy. It was taking everything in you not to text and bug Katsuki. It should have been enough for you to know he was safe at home, but you still worried about how he was doing. Surely everything that happened was pretty traumatic for him. Being kidnapped by the League of Villains, and being in the middle of that fight with All Might and One For All.
You mindlessly folded some laundry and put it away as you desperately fought the urge to check on him. You knew he had to be tired from all the questioning from the police and no doubt his parents, so you tried to give him space.
You finished putting away the last of your laundry and eyed your phone on your bed. Ugh- fuck it. He can ignore it if he doesn't want to talk to anyone.
You grabbed your phone and messaged Katsuki.
How are you doing? I'm fine. You don't need to check on me. I know, but it's hard not to worry with everything that happened. I said I'm fine. I'm fucking tired of talking about it. The cops were here for hours. I'm sorry that sounds shitty. Want to come over? I promise I won't ask about it. We can talk about other stuff and pretend it didn't happen for a while. Can't. I'm on some house arrest shit. They don't want me going anywhere. I'll come to you then.
You really want to see me that bad hu?
You blushed reading his last text and before you could think of what to say back Katsuki was calling you.
"Hey," You answered your phone.
"I'm going to give you directions on how to get to my place," he said
"You could just send me your address," you said as you snuck out your window.
"I want you to stay on the phone with me the whole time. In case something happens. I don't need you running into villains or anything on the way to my place. I'd never hear the end of it from the damn police," he grumbled.
You laughed at his remarks. While his words were harsh you knew by now it was just the way Katsuki was. It was actually sweet that he wanted to make sure you were safe the whole way to his house.
"Alright tell me what street you are on," he said.
You gave him the name of passing streets and he proceeded to give you what he decided to be the safest route even though it was a little longer.
"I don't want you walking down any alleyways or shit like that. And hurry up you're walking so damn slow," he said.
"I am not! It's not my fault I don't have a quirk that lets me explode through the sky," You teased him.
"Tch whatever- do you see the house with the brown wall yet?" he asked.
Your mouth hung slightly open as you realized the house Katsuki was talking about. It was a rather huge house, that you hadn't expected him to live at.
"Holy shit-" you said being unable to keep your thoughts to yourself.
"What?" He asked.
"This is a huge fucking house Bakugo, do you have a lot of siblings or something?"
"No. It's just me and my parents. Come to the balcony on the second floor," He demanded.
You looked up and noticed Katsuki coming out onto the balcony. He used his quirk to jump down next to you.
"Just grab on to me," he said holding his arm out.
"What?" You blushed taken back.
"Don't be so weird about it, I'm just going to get us back up," he said as he wrapped his arm around you and set his quirk off again landing you both on the balcony.
"Come on get inside," he said walking into his room and waving for you to follow him.
You looked around his room and noticed he was extremely organized. Probably the cleanest boy's room you had ever seen. It was huge too, double the size of your room, including its own restroom. A few posters decorated the walls and a drum set sat in the corner.
Katsuki sat at his chair by his desk, "Just sit wherever I don't care," He replied when you both heard yelling from downstairs.
"KATSUKI WAS THAT YOUR QUIRK I HEARD!? YOU BETTER NOT BE CAUSING MORE PROBLEMS! EVERYONE'S ALREADY DONE ENOUGH FOR YOU!" A female voice yelled from downstairs.
Katsuki quickly yelled back causing your eyes to widen, "SHUT THE HELL UP I WAS JUST KILLING A DAMN SPIDER HAG!"
"DON'T YOU FUCKING TALK TO ME THAT WAY I'LL COME UP THERE AND BEAT YOUR ASS!" She yelled back.
Katsuki grunted but didn't respond.
"Um- was that your mom?" You asked.
"Yeah, fucking bitch has been driving me crazy under this damn house arrest," he replied.
You stared at Katsuki dumbfounded. By no means did you have the best family relationships, but you'd never expected his home life to be this way. Suddenly, a lot of Katsuki's personality started to make sense to you and for the first time, you almost pitied him.
"Must be rough not being able to get some space," you said sympathetically.
"Hey, you said you weren't going to talk about it!" He barked angrily.
"Right," You looked around the room feeling unsure of where to sit, until you reluctantly decided to sit on the edge of the bed facing him sitting in his chair.
You let out a sigh, having no idea what to say to him now that you were here.
"She's um- not actually going to come up here, right? She sounds like she'd kick my ass if she found me in here," You joked trying to lighten the mood.
"Tch. Nah, she won't. She wants just as much space from me as I do from her," he grumbled, which only made you feel sadder for Katsuki. "How did you idiots find out where to go that night anyway?" He asked.
"I thought you said you didn't want to talk about it?" You teased him.
"This is different! I'm the one asking the questions now," he replied.
"Fair enough. Well, Yayarozu had put a tracker on one of the Nomu's back at the training camp. She gave one to the police and pros and then made another one for us to follow later. Once we got there Kirishima used some night vision goggles, he bought to look in the building. That's when we saw all the Nomu's and then pros started showing up. Shortly after it sounded like you just teleported there with the other villains," you explained.
"Yeah, it was some teleporting quirk that one villain had. Smelled like shit it was awful," he replied. "And then what?" he asked, encouraging you to keep going.
"We heard you and knew we had to do something. Midoriya came up with the plan for him, Iida, and Kirishima to rocket through the sky to give you an opening."
Katsuki grumbled, "Of course, it was that fucking nerd's idea."
You figured he wasn't going to be happy to hear it was Izuku who had come up with the plan, but you didn't intend to lie to him. "Then when they got you, me, Todoroki, and Yayarozu took off. After that, we met up with the rest of you and you know what happened from there," You finished.
"Yeah- you hugged the shit out of me like I was some weakling you expected to find dead or something," he spoke harshly.
You felt stunned by his words and snapped back, "Hey I was just worried about you! And it was nice to see you weren't hurt at all."
Katsuki rolled his eyes and you both sat in silence for a moment before he asked you another question.
"What kind of goggles did shitty hair have? Did he already have them or just bought them?" He asked.
"I'm not telling you," you said stubbornly still upset at his last comment.
"The fuck? Don't be a brat!" he barked.
"Then apologize! You know I don't think you're weak!" You yelled back.
"I'm not fucking apologizing," he said sternly.
"You're so irritating do you know that! You would think you'd have an ounce of gratefulness for your friends and me! We were risking a lot going to find you! You know that right!?"
"Of course, I know that dumb ass! I'm not a fucking idiot!" He yelled back.
"Then stop acting like one!"
Katsuki stared at you with a bewildered expression, he had no idea what to make of your sudden feistiness. "Ugh," he groaned running his hand over his face.
"Fine- look I don't give a crap about you hugging me or whatever. So, just fucking tell me if Kirishima bought those goggles specifically to come look for me," he pleaded.
You stared at him deciding if you wanted to answer. You figured that was the best type of apology you'd get out of him and gave in, "He said he bought them specially to look for you. Happy?"
"No, I'm not fucking happy, I don't want to owe anyone anything. I didn't ask you extras to come look for me," He grumbled.
"If it was any of us, what would you have done?" You asked angrily, fed up with his attitude.
Katsuki gave you an intimidating stare as he thought your question over. After some time passed, he answered honestly, "Depends who."
"Kirishima. If it was Kirishima that got taken, what would you have done?"
Katsuki sighed, "I'd go get the dumb ass, but I wouldn't have been as reckless about it as you idiots were!" He exclaimed and crossed his arms.
You rolled your eyes at him and stared at the floor as a long pause sat between you both and your next question, "What if it was me?" You asked gently.
Katsuki ignored your question and stared out the window for entirely too long before saying, "It's getting late you should head back. I don't want you walking back in the dark," he said.
You got up without saying anything and stomped over to the balcony, frustrated still by Katsuki's never-ending stubbornness and refusal to answer you.
"Come here, I'll help you down," he said, pulling you to him as he shot off his quirk again landing you both on the ground.
"Same fucking deal alright, call me while you walk back," he said letting you go.
"Fine," you said irritated, and pulled out your phone. "But I'm not some fucking weakling either you know," you snapped at him.
"Yeah, I know," he said, voice softer than before. "Look," he paused and seemed to gather his thoughts for a moment. "Don't think I don't understand what you all did. I get it, I just- I don't know." He grunted and you could see him becoming frustrated with himself.
You sighed feeling guilty for your attitude now. Obviously, Katsuki had been through a lot the past two days. It was asking a lot of him to be happy or grateful about anything right now.
"It's fine, Bakugo... I'm just glad you are ok." You spoke and made a quick decision to test your luck once more as you wrapped your arms around him and brought him into an embrace. To your surprise, he didn't push you off or make some snarky comment. Instead, he gingerly wrapped his arms around you returning the gesture.
You rested your head on his chest embracing the hug for as long as you could. You realized you'd never met anyone as hard to read as Katsuki. One moment she seemed irritated by your very presence and now you felt him giving in embracing you tighter. Your whole body froze as he moved to gently rest his head on top of yours.
You felt paralyzed as if any slight movement would have scared him away like a skittish cat. Although, a part of you wondered what would have happened if you were to have looked up at him. However, the moment passed, and Katsuki broke the peaceful silence.
"Told you, you don't need to worry about me dumb ass. Now get going it's getting dark. And don't forget to call me on your way back." He said, removing his arms from you and breaking the embrace.

“let me love you!” “i’ll never hurt you.” “you’re easy to love.”
from the prompt list with Billy please 💗
(in my head this time it's reader that needs to be told this because she is insecure, i see a lot of hurt/comfort fics about billy being comforted and while i absolutely love those, i feel like the idea of reader being the one that needs to be taken care of not is not explored enough in the Billy fandom 🤍)
am I projecting ? - yes absolutely
Thank you for this request! Literally loved writing this! I hope you like how it turned out :) I'm pretty sure this is gender neutral but if it isn't please let me know
Is this billy? no. Do I care? no. I love writing billy as a fluffy man and if you don't like that, that's okay <3
This week has been rough, honestly things have been rough for a while now but this week has been the worst of the worst.
All you wanted to do was crawl into bed and stay swallowed by the blankets. You didn't want to deal with anything or anyone anymore for a hot minute. And as you drive home you can feel the waves of emotions finally starting to wash over, you when you pull into your driveway your vision starts to blur. You slowly trudge up to your front door and immediately start to undress before crawling into your bed, ready to sleep the day away.
You fell asleep without even noticing. You slept through the seven phone calls Billy left you, you slept through Billy unlocking your door with the spare key you gave him, and you slept through him calling for you as he wanders into your home.
"Babe??? I'm starting to actually worry here!" He yells out before reaching your bedroom. He is about to yell your name again but he freezes seeing you buried under all of your blankets. "Fuck babe..." He kicks off his boots and crawls next to you in bed.
"Baby...come on wake up for me sweetheart" he whispers to you as he moves your hair out of your face gently. You slowly open your eyes and smile once you're greeted by the sight of his bright blue eyes. "Hi baby" you greet him sleepily and snuggle into his chest slightly.
Normally this would melt his heart, however, this time his heart fills with worry. To anyone else, they may have missed how your eyes seemed dull, or they would've shrugged it off as you being tired but he knows better than that, he knows you better then he knows himself.
"Want to fill me in here? What happened today?" Asking this question broke down your walls again and tears started filling your eyes before you could stop it. "I--well it was um..." You clear your throat trying to stop the feeling of it closing in on itself.
"Do you think I'm hard to love?" once those words were out in the atmosphere you squeezed your eyes tightly in hopes that if Billy did hear you that you closing your eyes tight enough would make you disappear. Billy did hear you though, he heard you loud and clear and that broke his heart in two.
"You're easy to love." He says matter of factly, leaving no room to argue. "Let me love you, Let me prove that what you said is so wrong." His brows furrow as anger started to flow through his veins. Who said this to them? Who put those thoughts into their beautiful mind? How long have they been thinking this? As these questions started to flow through his mind more anger started to flow through his veins.
You shake your head not wanting to think about this anymore. "I'm just so tired. I'm tired of feeling hurt, of getting hurt, of being let down. It's been such a shitty week. Been such a long, exhausting week." You ramble on before Billy makes you stop. "I'll never hurt you." Billy says in nearly a whimper. The thought of hurting you in any way destroys his soul and if he ever did hurt you he truly believes he wouldn't be able to live with himself.
"I'd never hurt you. Anyone that has hurt you are the worst, most stupidest group of people to ever live let alone breath. I don't know if you know this, if you realize this, but I...god I really love you and that isn't easy for me. If I ever hurt you I'm done for."
Your eyes filled with tears for a whole different reason. You've never seen Billy so vulnerable, you've never felt so loved before either. From how you were laying on his chest you leaned up and kissed his chin softly. "I love you too Billy, more than you'll ever know" He smiled softly and kissed your head as you rest your head on his chest one more time before falling back to sleep. As you sleep Billy starts to play with your hair and continues to whisper how much he loves you.
