Hey Handsome!
[Noritoshi Kamo gets hit on, right in front of you]
[stand-alone drabble, part of Obeisance to The Arrow universe | fluff, light jealousy, arranged marriage, contractual marriage | 1k words]
Friendships are a difficult world to navigate, especially for someone like you who’s been raised in strict isolation. Even with your cursed technique that is particularly aimed at solving problems, how do you solve this problem: Saori, who you befriended a week ago and have brought along to introduce her to Noritoshi, has been steadily flirting with him for the past 15 minutes.
Not like your husband has noticed. You had caught up with him after his archery practice, with his sports bag hung over his shoulder, and all three of you are now walking around Nihonbashi with ice cream in your hands. Saori is subtle– maintaining plausible deniability just in case. A brush of her hand against his (“an accident!”), asking if she could try a bit of his ice-cream (“I asked you too, though!”), giggling at everything he says (“he’s just so funny, you know!”), and why is her voice so much cuter and softer now?
Granted, Saori doesn’t know that you two are married, you only told her that he’s a good friend of yours. You suppose it’s not fair for you to be mad at her shooting her shot: Noritoshi, if you take a completely unbiased objective view, is really fucking good-looking. Why is he so tall? Why do his lean muscles strain against his workout clothes? Why do his built arms and broad shoulders draw your eyes? Why does his hair, parted and wrapped like always, seem so much more gorgeous, like a prince from the Edo era? And his face, it really sours your mood to admit this, his face is a masterpiece. With a blessed face like that, he could’ve been a rockstar-idol; it’s as if someone took a list of traditional markers of male beauty (lily-petal eyes, a refined mouth, ski-slope nose, straight eyebrows, delicately carved chin, long lashes and nobly-pale skin), and crafted a man with that as a to-do list. If it wasn't for his ice-cold standoffish demeanor, he'd be getting hit on everyday. No, you can’t blame Saori. You would’ve done the same if you were in her place.
And technically, you can’t be mad at Noritoshi either. You were the one who established that your marriage exists only in front of the elders. I’ll be your perfect wife and lady when you need me to be, and you let me be otherwise when I want to be. You don’t even wear the wedding ring, not wanting your peers at Jujutsu High to see you differently (Noritoshi does keep his ring on, but he has his own reasons for that; not like Saori seems to care). The perfect deal struck between you two included a tacit understanding: as long as we keep it from being a scandal, our love lives are our own, with no interference from the other.
Listen, it made a lot of sense when you two shook hands on this. It was equitable, mutually beneficial, and fair. What isn’t fair is the fact that you want to gouge out Saori’s pretty fucking eyes and throw your melting ice cream at her pretty fucking sundress. She’s so pretty too, you have to admit. And so is Noritoshi. And they seem to get along so well. It’s not fair.
Noritoshi’s picked up that you’re upset, though he’s not very sure why. You’ve been walking alongside him and Saori for the past 15 minutes without butting in a word while Saori has been chattering non-stop. You were so excited to introduce your first non-sorcerer friend to him too. Truth to be told, he doesn’t like meeting new people that much, and it’s been a while since he’s talked to a non-sorcerer, but he wanted to oblige you, as well as make sure your new friends are good to you. She’s only just started to interact with people. Noritoshi thinks as Saori accidentally bumps into him. Again. God, he really wants to go back to practising. She really can’t be blamed for her taste in friends.
Your eyebrows have hardened, as if you’re trying to make a decision. Maybe she finds her annoying too? Or maybe– is Noritoshi inwardly pleased about it? Doesn’t the thought of two girls fighting over him stroke his ego? Doesn’t he get to feel silly things like this too? Doesn’t he, despite being Noritoshi Kamo and all that entails, get to enjoy that his wife is jealous?
He doesn’t stay with that thought for too long (his face is getting redder by the second), because the way your cursed energy is darkening, this situation might not end well for anyone in your vicinity, especially not Saori. As casually as he can, he throws an arm over your shoulders and presses a quick kiss onto your hair. It’s not too intimate to be PDA (both of you would rather die) but it sends a message, especially with the ring glinting on his left hand, which is just-so-absentmindedly playing with your hair. You’re getting really good at reading his mind and playing along: you lean into his side immediately.
It’s a small gesture, done with practised ease. Saori gets the hint. She doesn’t stop talking about the price hike in Bottega Veneta though, but this time without any attempts to flirt with Noritoshi. She’s not evil that way. She might be a bit too chatty for your introverted duo, and she might not fully get the relationship between you and Noritoshi, but she’d rather grow a wart and eat it before breaking girl code: never ever eye a man that your friend likes.
Noritoshi supposes that Saori is alright. It took you a (secret) Distillation or two to understand her intentions, and another Distillation on your husband to truly sate your insecurities. He doesn’t have any secret romances with anyone, you’ve gathered. It wasn’t like you were expecting him to. Still, it does make you happy, selfishly.
You don’t even bother telling yourself things like, I just don’t want to be humiliated if my married husband is caught with another girl, or I don’t care if he likes someone, I just didn’t want it to be Saori, that’s all. Unfortunately, you are too self-aware: you might have a teensy-tiny crush on Noritoshi.
written as an inverse of #7 - Jealousy, Jealousy, where Kamo gets jealous.
timeline wise, this fic is set three weeks after reader has joined Jujutsu High. Kamo is in Tokyo now and then, for missions. Right before this fic, he was sent on a solo mission near Nihonbashi, and is staying in a hotel there for the weekend. Reader drops often to meet him. Nothing bad has happened yet :)

Kyoto Jujutsu High School Headcanons based on the interview with Gege Akutami:
Potential traitors and their reasons to side with Kenjaku (Putting aside Mechamaru, obviously… and thee Aoi Todo, gege said himself he will never do it, respect my man Todo!)
TW: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ANIME ONLYs, don’t read this if you don’t wanna get spoiled ‼️
LIKELY TO BECOME THE SPY/TRAITOR
NORITOSHI KAMO
Reason: Wants to be the head of the clan and get his mother to live with him so he can protect her and give her an easy life.
- I feel like he’s easy to manipulate if he hadn’t had that talk with Itadori during the baseball game. Kenjaku might make a deal about killing Noritoshi’s biological father and make him the head of the clan in a faster way. I think, he will have some second thoughts about it because his classmates/friends will be involved in the scheme but he will push those feelings for them aside and prioritize his mother. But soon, he’ll probably regret it (not his father getting killed, cause he does not gaf, but betraying his friends) when he found out his mom has another family and home where she’s happy at and doesn’t need his protection after all.
KASUMI MIWA
Reason: Lives a poor life and has two younger brothers to sustain.
- It’s gonna be hard cause Miwa my girl is too sweet and kind but… like Noritoshi, Miwa is also easy to manipulate, but will have some second thoughts… although she will hold it for longer time but i feel like she’ll finally do it out of desperation to sustain her family when she can’t rise up the ranks as a jujutsu sorcerer. I feel like her breaking point would involve about her younger brothers getting mistreated for being poor (based in the jujutsu phantom parade). The deal with kenny would come off as… get her into a high ranking position as a jujutsu sorcerer or just give her loads of cash, but yes maybe she’ll regret later on for betraying her friends.
MAI ZENIN
Reason(s): Forced to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer by her own sister & probably(?) will try to persuade her sister into quitting in jujutsu sorcery.
- I have a vision Mai has the strong potential to be a traitor because well, she was literally forced into a life she didn’t want. She was abandoned by her sister, broke the promise and not only that, she was pressured by her family that she needs to be better than Maki. I feel like she’ll side with him out of anger and pettiness towards Maki and it’ll happen if Kenny ever met Mai before she enrolled to Kyoto Jujutsu High. I know for a fact Mai didn’t deeply hate Maki, but she just felt betrayed by her cause of the broken promise. Mai still loves her sister obviously, she’s just too prideful to show it, so she acts strong into letting Maki think that she’s fine without her. Also, don’t forget, not only Maki wanted to become a sorcerer to prove her family wrong and spite them, she did it to give Mai a home where she can feel safe. What if Mai does this in reverse where she will be the one whose gonna protect Maki and make her quit into becoming a Jujutsu sorcerer, but then again, knowing half of Maki’s goal which is to become strong and spite her fam, it will likely cause conflict cause not only Mai is a spy for a curse user, Maki is gonna feel like she’s being brought down by Mai and she’s going to hate herself for making her sister go to the wrong path.
MOMO NISHIMIYA
Reason: Will do it for Mai.
- I haven’t thought about it throughly what will be Momo’s reason… but i think she will do it for Mai cause she definitely cares for her, she literally knows how Mai was mistreated by her own family and how much it affected Mai for being abandoned by her own sister. Based on the second light novel, Momo really dedicated her role as a senior and friend to her juniors. So, i think she will do it for the sake of Mai’s happiness and comfort.
YOSHINOBU GAKUGANJI
Reason(s): Eliminate Yuuji Itadori and Satoru Gojo.
- This man’s face and motives says it all. Stuck up traditionalist (yep) but had some redemption later on during Gojo vs Sukuna sure. But if it was before that, his reasons with siding with kenny is to kill Sukuna’s Vessel and Gojo Satoru. For Gojo, the old fart probably thought that Kenny in Geto’s body is still the real Geto out for revenge against Gojo (that old btch doesn’t know Geto and Gojo’s relationship i fear). He might think they’re on the same side to bring Gojo down but Kenny’s too smart not to fuck up against thee GOJO SATORU, cause that’s gonna be sukuna’s job. Of course, it’ll also be hard for Kenny cause that wasn’t part of HIS plan… he’ll probably find some way to debunk killing his son and Sukuna :3 this sounds messy but it the only reasons i could think of for this old fart.
MEI MEI
Reason: … Money, Duh.
- I put Mei Mei here cause i think she sometimes teaches in Kyoto hence her close ally with Todo or just promotes the sorcerers in general. Mei Mei is a freelance sorcerer, so no zero doubts she will do it for the cash *kaching* 💰 kenny will just pay a higher amount than Gojo and that’s it. Besides, i think she has the greatest asset to be spy, her Cursed technique duh, so yeah most likely she will do it.
UNLIKELY TO BECOME THE SPY/TRAITOR
UTAHIME IORI
Reason: I have no idea.
- YALL!! I’m sorry, I literally cannot see this woman becoming a traitor tbh, she respects herself too much and has high morals. What y’all think Gojo trusted her more than Mei Mei in finding the traitor when he could just bribe Mei Mei into doing it (i don’t ship gojohime im sorry, Utahime’s too good for him… she deserves someone better *shoko).
ARATA NITTA
Reason: I also have no idea.
- If y’all don’t remember him, he’s the blonde first year who thought Todo and Yuuji are actually related, the one who accompanied Todo to save Yuuji from Mahito, the one who got Nobara’s corpse and said to Yuuji it cannot be guaranteed that he’ll effectively heal Nobara (… ha ha, Gege when i catch you Gege). I’m sorry but this dude was introduced so late and we don’t have enough info of him? He’s just a healer who’s willing to help and has the personality and design of a butler. So yeah, idk.
Note: This sounds so messy and might be ooc to other’s point if view, but i got so shocked when Gege addded that information— so, it’s just my insights and headcanons.. i’m sorry ‼️ also, yes kenny is kenjaku’s nickname tee-hee :3

————
“Who was that guy with the buns? Is that the guy you keep talking to Tsukumo about?”
Why is Miguel trying to gossip to you like you’re best friends trying to catch up after weeks of being apart? Like if there isn’t an obvious thick tension trapped between you.
Then again it is one-sided considering he and Larue think they did right by hiding Noritoshi Kamo’s existence. They think having the entire family betray you is a problem you can all sweep under the rug. But it isn’t.
“What do you want Miguel?” You break the lighthearted atmosphere he tries to build once you’re away from the tunnel. “And don’t be a smart ass, you know what I’m referring to. So what do you want with me?”
“Larue says you’re screening his calls and leaving his messages on read,” Miguel gets straight to the point.
“I have every reason to,” you mumble coldly. “The only reason I’m talking to you is because you’re involved in this plan.”
Miguel’s eyes bore into you but you don’t bother to look in his general direction.
“Nanako and Mimiko’s—”
“Don’t bring them into this,” you cut him off sharply. “Don’t talk about my daughters to excuse you’re lying and betrayal.”
“We’re family,” he argues and those simple words are like being slapped in the face.
“Yes!” You exclaim. “We were and you all still chose to lie to me!” You stop walking in the middle of the street and turn to face him with your gaze narrowed to a piercing glare. “You kept the existence of Noritoshi a secret for months because of what?” You spat and throw your hands in the air. “You didn't want to cause me more grief?!”
“Because we were looking out for you,” he argues calmly because that’s the legitimate truth for him and Larue. “Because too much happened after Geto’s death. It was the right thing to keep you from spiraling.”
You feign a laugh and shake your head in disbelief. “The right thing?” You repeat quietly. “Everyone thinks they’re doing the right thing for me,” you cry out louder and stare into his eyes with angry tears in your eyes.
You didn’t want to look like you wanted to cry, but your face was already twisted into a scowl, you couldn’t show how fast the blood was pumping in your veins, so this is the only other way you express how frustrated you are.
“My parents, my brother, you and Larue. And you never truly take me into account. The person you’re trying to help,” you continue and step closer to him to make yourself clear. “You were supposed to tell me! If not right away then when the twins got involved. We’re family.”
“And you were supposed to cremate Geto’s body,” he counters right back with just as much fire that makes you gasp and step back in disbelief.
“That’s what we're supposed to do,” Miguel supports his argument. “It’s what he would've done for you. That was your responsibility.”
You continue to watch him with disbelief, but this time you feel your heartbreak at the sound of his cruel words. You want to answer with a cold shoulder and storm off without saying a word, but how dare he bring up Suguru in this argument that was initially about their inability to tell you about the ancient sorcerer in Suguru’s body?
“I knew him for 12 years,” you manage to argue against him even if it drains so much strength to do it. “And I loved him for 11 of those years. He meant so much to me, he was the father of my girls and my greatest friend, I couldn’t even go home that day, so you don’t get to throw that at my face. It was your responsibility to tell me though, but you didn’t, you lied for months.”
Miguel parts his lips but he’s at a loss for words, which is an odd thing coming from him because he always has something to say.
It’s not until a few minutes pass that he breaks the deafening silence that had casted over you. “It’s not going to change anything. What happened, happened, we can’t take it back even if we wanted to.”
You nod and whisper shakily. “I know and I don’t care. You lied, now all these problems exist.”
You didn’t want to be mad about that, you weren’t, but you’ve had time to think, you thought especially hard after Yuki shared this plan with you, and no matter how much you want to go around it, you can’t escape the fact that everything could’ve been different if they simply told you from the beginning. Now your brother is gone, Nanami is dead along with the twins, and the sorcerer society as you know it is in shambles.
“So what?” Miguel retorts. “We’re going to stop being a family because of it?”
You shake your head without thinking because you know this answer. “No. Larue, and you, even Manami and Toshihisa will always be family,” you say from the bottom of your heart. “I will never tell Satori otherwise either. I just can’t look at either one of you and move on just like that. I can’t pretend that I’m not mad because I am. It meant something to me. I am sorry I couldn't do my part…perhaps it’s all my fault, but don’t expect me to forgive you right now. Don’t ask me to. Please.”
You wipe off the stray tears that managed to break out and drop all the anger from your face to show your sincerity and your love for him and the family you share.
“I love every single one of you. You can tell Larue that. You can come visit Satori, just give me some time.”
Miguel scoffs and doesn’t hold back. “And you can forgive Satoru Gojo for killing Geto just like that?”
You freeze as if you were splashed with ice-cold water. You knew the answer to this question, you’ve discussed it with Choso recently, yet hearing Miguel say those words completely spins you out of the axis you stood so proud on. It leaves you speechless even if you already had known your answer. Yet after a few minutes, all you can do is turn away and bring up your excuse to leave. “Okkotsu should have already driven Itadori away, I’m going to check on them.”
Before you can make it far Miguel yells out, “don’t kill the boy. He’s one of the good ones!”
Why does everyone think you’re going to kill Yuta Okkotsu? Why don’t they believe you’re okay relishing in your hate?
Most importantly, why did Miguel's bold remark make you doubt yourself? You’ve always known that Satoru leaving you behind and betraying you 11 years ago hurt more than him killing Suguru, so why are you picking on it now?
Has that blame always been inside you? Like a wound just bandaged over to be pushed aside. Or has Miguel picked at the scab?
No, it can’t be that way. You know your feelings, you don’t blame Satoru for the way things ended. It had to be done…he had to take Suguru away from you…
No! You can’t think that way now! No.
Just breathe. Breathe, and focus on the matters at hand; Itadori and Choso.
Yes, just focus on them and getting this plan to move forward.
Deep breath and shake it off.
Neverthefuckingless, once you return to the entrance of the tunnel, you come across an unexpected problem fighting Choso. Fucking Naoya Zen’in!
What a damn headache! This is not what you needed!
But you’ll handle it even though by the looks of all the blood on the ground, and the blood-shaped wings behind Choso as he faces Naoya, it seems he’s pretty much handled Naoya. Which isn’t surprising. Naoya is strong but not stronger than Choso.
Still, you’ll cut in for the fun of it.
“As I live and breathe. Well if isn't you,” your voice travels throughout the tunnel, making both men look away from each other to find you at the end of the tunnel. “Naoya Zen’in,” you reveal to Choso.
Said man’s shoulders untense and his hardened face falls to a cocky look. “Well, well aren't you a sight for sore eyes,” Naoya greets you with a smug smirk as if it isn’t obvious that Choso has cornered.
“I am,” you quip. “Are you playing nice with my friend, Naoya?”
“Oh, this nobody is your friend,” he points his thumb at Choso, and your gaze flickers on a quick glare before you hide it and use charm against Naoya, considering he thinks you’re secretly infatuated with him.
“Choso is my friend.”
Naoya scoffs in disgust and looks back at Choso so you quickly pull his attention back to you. “How long has it been?” You muster a feigned sweet smile.
“Too long,” he retorts and tilts his head. “And you look like you haven’t aged. It’s a defining quality.”
You keep your smile attached even if inside you’re revolting.
“Hm, thank you,” you know how to play along with him to make him think he has the upper hand. It’s easy to gain the upper hand with men as egotistical as him.
“Now,” you continue in a sweet voice. “Why don’t you tell me what you’re doing here, Naoya? You’re far from home.”
Naoya shrugs. “Business.”
You playfully narrow your eyes and reach in your pocket to pull the Worm out. “Oh? Let me guess, are you here after Yuji Itadori?” You ask as you drape the Worm around your shoulders, letting him see that you’re preparing for a fight if need be.
“No. Why? Should I be scared of you?”
You feign a laugh. “Would you?”
Naoya flashes you a flirty smirk. “Never.”
You tug wider on that smile and notice Choso’s discontent with the way this conversation is developing as you slowly begin to strut toward him and Naoya.
“I’m here on family business and personal agenda,” Naoya shares, completely underestimating you. “Why are you with scum, y/n?”
You try hard not to drop your smile or clench your fists even if his comments about your company are really bothering you.
“Is it because of your dead husband?” He dares to say, causing you to fail in your attempts to keep on a smile. “You must be lonely and in need to be reminded what it feels like to be a woman.”
“Tsk,” Choso remarks in annoyance and steps forward to retaliate in your defense, which is sweet, but you can’t jump Naoya just yet, so you quickly snap your gaze to Choso and shoot him a warning looking so he can stay where he is.
Luckily, he understands you and just burns holes through Naoya’s head.
“We could finally commit to what our family wanted us to do,” Naoya blabbers on, making you gag internally.
“Oh, but there’s my daughter now,” you bring up to hopefully make him shut up.
Yet you expected too much because keeps on talking. “A daughter? Well, that can be taken care of.”
And what does he mean by that?
“She’s no use really, she’s a girl. I’ll give you boys,” he says bluntly, making Choso fists his hands even harder, and for your patience to come to an end.
Naoya crossed a line talking about Satori like that, so when you walk past him and Choso you turn on your heels and grin at him while you walk back to be across from Choso.
“Naoya I owe you my sympathy, I heard your father died,” you feign sympathy as you change the subject. “Tough. But that does mean I also owe you a congratulations, you’re clan leader now—wait,” you come to a halt and begin to tug on a genuine smirk. “Never mind, you were replaced by a 16-year-old boy who didn’t even grow up at your family house.” You chuckle, and his once cocky smirk falls to a scowl. “How pathetic.”
“You know,” he scoffs. “You really haven’t lost that sharp tongue have you, bitch? How about I take care of that for you?”
“Watch your mouth,” Choso snarls.
You lift a hand and assure Choso. “It’s okay, Choso, a real man doesn't fear strong women.”
Naoya scoffs. “I'm not scared of you,” he spats and watches you come to a stop.
“It’s okay,” you speak in a smooth and silky voice. “I can tuck you in after I'm done, I bet you’ll like that.” You giggle, and Naoya clenches his fist and breaks into a menacing stride towards you.
You don’t move though, you pass Choso a quick determined look that means it's okay to act now. And he mirrors it right away to tell you he understands.
So when Naoya is a few steps closer you drift your gaze back to him and ball your hand to a fist to raise it in front of you to show off the fire licking your veins and flesh.
“This is why Geto died,” he remarks. “And why your parents beat you 11 years ago. You don’t know how to behave like a real woman.”
You drop your arm and the smugness you held on your face to pretend to be wounded by his words. Which in turn makes him falter and slow down, but begin to grow smug.
When he gets close enough you slide your eyes up and speak in a fake quivering voice. “Thank you.”
You begin to smirk maliciously and Naoya’s eyebrows twitch in confusion. He parts his lips to probe, but before he can poison this tunnel with more of his whiny voice, you spring your arm up and swing the back of your hand across his face with enough strength that sends him flying back towards Choso.
“So annoying,” you groan as if you were held to secrecy.
And just before Naoya can crash into Choso, or he can find his balance, Choso claps his hands together and shoots piercing blood.
Naoya tries to dodge, but the blood-made arrow is faster and it scrapes his side, making him stumble. Before he can counter, you fist your hand once again, but this time you snap your arm down to slam your fist through the ground, causing cracks to grow from the spot you hit and rapidly spread toward Naoya looking almost like vines.
Once they reach him the cracks then surround him and the ground begins to rumble. Choso steps back, and Naoya snaps his head back at you, but in that moment water begins to shoot out through the cracks before it explodes out and sends Naoya up to hit the cement ceiling.
Before he can react and run forward, Choso and you act; he runs forward and jumps up, making you give him a boost by manipulating the air. Once he’s under Naoya, Choso reaches over and slaps his big hand around Naoya’s throat to slam him to the ground when gravity pulls them down.
However, Naoya isn’t put out. Even if was just rammed with multiple attacks he throws Choso a harsh swing. But Choso averts it and steps back, causing Naoya to get on his knees and push himself back to his feet with his fists clenched ready to fight.
Thus you gather the water you used to attack him and have it shaped into a giant orb behind you.
“If you’re really so tough, Gojo, then actually fight me and don’t cower!”
All right you’ll bite.
“Fine,” you give in and drop the water.
At the sound of the water splashing on the ground, Choso looks back at you in confusion, while you answer Naoya by striding over with your fists clenched.
Before you can get close enough to him though, he lunges over and swings his fist. You manage to quickly swerve and instead counter by manipulating the water and having it fly over to give him an uppercut.
Naoya quickly recovers and groans at you before swinging his leg, making you smug as you gracefully swing your fist to shoot a blast of wind right on his torso.
“Fight me,” he grimaces.
What does he think you’re doing?
Just for that you drag your foot back and summon air to surround your foot before you swing your leg and kick Naoya in the throat with the gust of air, managing to knock all the air out of his lungs and throw him several feet across the tunnel.
All without letting him land a punch. But that’s also because Choso already weakened him.
“Stop playing around!” He yells at you. “Stop using your tricks.”
You slowly turn to face him and see him slowly pushing himself to his feet. You don’t proceed to say anything, you simply smirk at him and then throw your fist out and hastily shoot Fire-Snake out from your fist to ram it into him.
When Naoya falls back to the ground, the fire snake slithers around him to capture his body in place, making the part of clothes it’s touching to begin burning away and peppering Naoya’s flesh with burning kisses that make him squirm and groan and make your smirk deepen.
Alas, before it can deal any great damage to the outside of Naoya’s body, the fire snake opens its fire-made jaw and sinks its teeth into his neck to spread its furious venom through his icy veins before it turns to ash.
“You might want to get healed,” you advise Naoya as you slowly stride towards him. “Once bitten by fire-snake the fire travels through your veins and hits your core to begin burning away all your cursed energy.”
You fall beside Choso, and rest your hands on your hips to look down at Naoya with a shit-eating smirk.
“How dare you—”
“I'm not done yet,” you cut him off. “And since you’re human too it begins to slowly boil your blood.” You laugh and tilt your head to add one more thing. “Oh, and that’s not even counting the poison from Choso’s blood, so you better find someone fast.”
“You little whore,” he grimaces.
“I told you to watch your mouth,” Choso snaps back in a low threatening voice that makes goosebumps grow on your arms and causes your heart to swoon. Him kicking Naoya’s jaw and stepping on his hand doesn’t help whatsoever, it only works to excite you and steal your breath away.
“Sorry,” Choso adds to Naoya, making you blink in confusion—“But you didn’t love your brothers,” he continues. “And I can’t understand that.”
This is probably about something they talked about before you got here. Which! You wish you could’ve been here before to fight Naoya from the beginning. He was already like, half beaten by the time you got here!
He would’ve been more of a pain in the ass, but it would’ve been fun fighting longer with Choso against Naoya.
Regardless though, suddenly, in the silence of the tunnel, the hairs on the back of your neck rise as a menacing presence approaches Choso and you. One far more intimidating than Satoru’s, one that you quickly identify to be Yuta Okkotsu.
He’s finally done with the plan, but you can’t drop the act yet. You can’t tell Choso a thing even if he puts his arm out to shield you from the presence, clueless to the fact that Okkotsu is working with you. You have to look just as shocked as him so as to not give your plan away to Naoya who is still conscious.
“Choso,” you try to assure him that everything will all be okay regardless of the overwhelming presence that’s fallen over you, and regardless of what he’s about to see.
Albeit Choso doesn’t focus on you, he looks back, and when you follow his line of gaze Okkotsu is already over you with an unconscious Itadori.
“What—“ Choso gasps, but, he doesn’t finish what he’s going to say because with one swing Okkotsu knocks him out, making you quickly catch him in your arms before he can hit the floor.
It’s not the way you would’ve wanted it to play out, but Choso would’ve freaked out seeing Okkotsu dragging his unconscious brother, so to avoid any unnecessary fights perhaps it is better to knock Choso unconscious too. When he wakes up you’ll tell him what’s going on if Itadori hasn’t woken up by then.
“Looks like you’re hurt Naoya,” Okkotsu interjects as he walks past you.
You peer back after you throw Choso over your shoulder and pull your phone out to capture a picture of Naoya as he writhes in pain.
And to your surprise, he actually manages to see you and hisses as he reaches over, but he’s too weak by all the poisons so he looks more like a trembling kitten swinging its paw.
“I’ll send this to your brothers and say the beauty of the Gojo clan took down the great Naoya,” you tease and snicker.
And since he can’t answer, you shoot him a wink and walk off without waiting for Okkotsu, to avoid an awkward walk side by side.
“Shall I heal you?” Okkotsu’s offer travels down. “My reverse cursed technique can heal people. In return please inform your superiors of Itadori’s death.”
You bet Shoko that Itadori’s “death” will only be believable for about three weeks, she says shorter than that. With everything Noritoshi has planned though maybe even sooner than either of you predict.
With Okkotsu here, the higher-ups will probably leave Itadori alone though. Hopefully.
——
*LATER*
It hasn’t been long since you left the tunnel, but it feels eternal considering it’s just Okkotsu and you waiting for Itadori and Choso to wake up.
“Oh,” Okkotsu startles you. “I forgot to mention Fushiguro should be here soon,” he lets you know.
Now it feels even more awkward than when you were silent! You could choose not to answer, but the atmosphere is already tense, and that would just worsen the situation, so to avoid any more strain you give him a small acknowledgment.
“Okay.”
You don’t even look over at him though, you slide your eyes to unconscious Choso right by your feet, and continue trying to avoid giving Okkotsu too much thought because once you start you spiral and grow angry. So to avoid any problems or more tension, you just focus on Choso and hope he somehow hears your desperate plea and wakes up to keep you company while Itadori is still passed out.
Albeit he does look very calm this way too. You’ve never seen him sleep, every time he watches a movie with you when neither of you can sleep, he always stays up for the entire movie, you’re the culprit who passes out sometimes. So seeing his pale face be basked by the campfire you turned on, and his delicate features resting ever so calmly you can’t help but feel kind of captivated and tempted; you want to trace the black mark over his nose with your finger with the softest touch.
Is it creepy to think about?
Yes, plus you really need to stop thinking about him in any kind of romantic way. You already agreed that nothing shall be touched about your feelings for him, and his for you. You’ll just have to suffer and stay friends.
So you look away and instead, just go on your phone and mindlessly scroll through your social media.
A few minutes then pass and from the corner of your eyes, you see Choso suddenly rise as if he was part of the undead.
“Yuji,” he quickly calls out with panic.
You put your phone away and get off the piece of rubble you were sitting on to reach him. “Choso,” you call out so he can drift his attention over to you, but his eyes fall on Itadori still passed out, and then quickly find Okkotsu, letting you see the gears in his mind churning to think the worst.
“Yuji,” he exclaims with a mix of anger and fear.
“Choso!” You exclaim and lunge forward to grab his arm and pull him back to the ground as he is getting up to attack Okkotsu. “Choso! Choso, calm down It’s okay.”
His eyes just briefly look at you, but they quickly return to his brother's body on the ground stained with blood. “How do you want me to calm down when—”
“Choso!” You cut him off and throw your hands on his jaw to try and distract him. “Choso look at me. Look at me.”
Choso’s eyes slowly drift over and you gently tighten your hold on his jaw.
“He’s okay,” you assure him and hold his gaze with a soft look that makes him blink repeatedly and leave his lips parted instead of continuing to argue, almost as if he was captivated in the moment—“He’s alive and Okkotsu is on his side,” you assure him.
Choso’s pants slowly calm down to soft breathing and his furrowed eyebrows ease as his face relaxes.
“Feel it,” you tell him and slide one hand off his jaw to press your palm over his heart. “You’d feel it if he was dead. He’s okay. Feel it.”
Choso continues to hold your gaze as if he were finding his confirmation for Itadori’s status in your eyes.
“He’s okay,” you tell him one more time before you pull your hands away and slowly sit back in your previous spot.
Choso snaps his head back to his brother and pushes himself up.
“It was a plan,” you finally let him know. “Okkotsu needed to kill him so the other high-ups could believe it and leave him alone for a while, there was no other way. I am sorry I couldn’t tell you, I was ordered not to. I’m sorry.”
Choso swallows thickly and watches Itadori for a moment, assuring himself that his brother is breathing.
“His wounds are healed,” Okkotsu cuts in to try and ease Choso’s concern. “I made sure of it. Sorry for hitting you too by the way.”
Choso’s head snaps up to drop his eyes on Okkotsu and stare into him for a tense second before he offers him a stiff nod and walks back to sit next to you on the piece of rubble.
“I’m sorry,” you tell him again so he can hear it.
Choso looks at you and doesn’t look upset, he looks as usual, nonchalant. “It was your mission?” He asks.
You sigh and nod. “Yeah. I wanted to tell you, but I was ordered to keep it a secret. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize, it was your job,” he assures you, making your lips pull to a sweet and grateful smile. “Was that Zen’in guy a part of it too?”
You snort and shake your head. “No, he was a surprise. I didn’t expect to see him here, but it worked out you got to see how he is.”
Choso scoffs in amusement.
“That’s the guy you went, “tsk,” too, when I told you what my life would be like if I married him. You see now why I would’ve ended my life?” You tease him lightheartedly as you lean close to him even if he was already so close to you. “Unless you wanted me to be a miserable wife,” you exaggerate. “Which would hurt because I thought we were friends.”
Choso rolls his eyes and a small amused smile crawls on his face. “He’s…an annoying asshole.”
You snort. “You said it.”
“Still I don't know why you let him talk to you the way he did, and why you didn’t let me put him in his place. He had no right saying those things to you, y/n.” Choso speaks almost in a scolding voice that you can’t tell if it’s because he was getting you in trouble, or getting mad all over again over the situation.
Either way, he catches you off guard and you can’t stop your face from burning up, or from displaying your utter disbelief.
“I,” you stammer and clear your throat. “I'm used to it,” you say and hide your smile by looking down. “People, men mostly talk to me like that from time to time. The best way to deal with it is by not dealing with it, or by, you know, being snarky and showing off how much stronger you are than them.”
“Well, either way,” Choso mutters. “It wasn’t right. It isn’t right.”
You acknowledge him with a soft hum before you lift your head and lock eyes since he’s already looking at you. “You stood up for me though,” you tell him sweetly. “So thank you. I appreciate it. It was sweet.”
Choso’s chest rises and his eyes soften. “Of course,” he mumbles as his chest falls.
You share a soft smile and fight the urge to look at his lips as desire slowly develops in the pit of your stomach.
Yet no matter how hard you fight, he’s too eye-catching, and his close proximity is too inviting; you make the mistake of glancing at his thin and pink lips, and part your own, causing his chest to rise again.
However, you win your battle at the last second and turn away to face the fire.
“I did get a photo of him,” you say to distract you and him from what you almost did. “I’ll laugh at it with Satoru when he’s out.” You tug on a feigned smile.
Choso hums, and you hum back playfully but don’t look over at him, instead you keep yourself busy and reach in one of your pockets to pull out the glass swan figurine and fiddle with it.
Truth is you didn’t know if you were going back to the apartment after this particular mission, so all you brought with you is the swan figurine since you don’t trust someone not to leave it behind when you ask someone to pick up your belongings.
“So much for our meatballs,” you comment and once again reach in your pocket, but pull out a small bag of chips this time. “Shrimp chip?” You offer him as you push the bag towards him.
Choso reaches over and takes a single chip from the bag.
“Don't worry I found it in an abandoned store on our way here,” you share so he doesn’t think you took it out of the Worm's mouth. People tend to think that you keep snacks inside of it, which is ridiculous.
“It’s no soba,” he says before he takes a bite, making you look over at him and laugh softly.
“No.” You shake your head. “But right now,” you sigh dramatically. “It’s as good as we got.”
You turn to face him and reach over to touch his wrist and bring something up. “After this whole ordeal is done we have to go get some delicious ramen, it's the best there is. I mean It’s made by non-sorcerers, but the lady is nice and the greatest cook. I would marry the ramen if I could, that’s how good it is.”
Choso swallows his chip and quieres with a tiny amused half smile. “Marry food?”
You nod eagerly. “Yeah! It’s delicious!”
“Well,” Choso says softly. “I’ll take your word for it, but if it isn’t good you’re the one stuck with it.”
You chuckle, making his smile spread wider.
“Happily,” you assure him and sit back, catching in that moment Itadori opens his eyes.“See,” you point out and look to Choso. “He’s okay.”
Choso’s eyes look past you to watch his little brother sit up in confusion at his change of surroundings.
“Hm?” Itadori probes quietly the moment he finds his attacker sitting nearby. “I’m…W—”
“What a relief,” Okkotsu laughs nervously and only confuses the poor boy even more—“I think it was around September, Gojo came to see me. He asked me to watch over you so I had to put this act on.”
“Act?” Itadori presses.
You shift your feet forward to prop your elbow on your leg and rest your chin on your hand. “You really think my brother would leave you by yourself without backup?” You cut in, making Itadori slowly look back at Choso and you. “I can’t say he knew he’d be gone, but Satoru is smart even if he might not look it.”
Itadori’s eyes narrow on you. “I thought you were backup?” He asks.
You share a dry laugh. “I was help, but not back up,” you tell him the truth. “At least not the kind he needed, considering I too have a death sentence on my head. That’s why Okkotsu is here.” You feign a smile.
“Instead of allowing a different executioner or having all information about you being hidden I decided this workaround was best,” Okkotsu adds to the conversation so Itadori could further understand. “But they aren’t dumb, so in order to get Jujutsu headquarters to approve me as executioner I entered a binding vow to kill you. So I killed you. Sorry about that.”
Choso leans close to you. “I don’t understand,” he whispers.
You lean over to him and whisper back. “Just listen, he'll explain.”
Choso stays close to you and listens to Okkotsu carefully as if he didn't see his own brother alive.
“Then why am I still alive,” Itadori asks what Choso was questioning too.
“Because of reverse cursed technique,” Okkotsu shares. “At the same time, your heart stopped, I instantaneously healed you with reverse cursed technique. I thought it might work based on what I’ve heard about you.”
“Can you do that? You use RCT too.” Choso asks you as he keeps watching Itadori and Okkotsu talk as if Okkotsu is going to just attack his brother.
“No,” you sigh in disappointment. “I wish. Only a few can. The boy is one of them and my friend Shoko can too. It’s very impressive.”
“You mentioned,” he says.
You shift around and face him with a smirk. “Which reminds me, we’re going to be leaving our hideout now, so we’ll see more people and you won’t have to be stuck with me anymore.”
“I don’t mind,” he quickly rebuttals, making your breath falter and your eyes widen slightly—”Besides,” he adds. “I don't think other people will be as kind as you are to me. I still am a curse.”
“Half,” you correct him. “I see human. So half. You have nothing to worry about. Besides, I’m sure people should be more focused on other things instead of your appearance. If they are bothered then they got a problem or…you know,” you purposely leave hanging and wiggle your eyebrows even if your insides are slowly twisting at your own joke.
“I don’t,” he mutters, making you laugh softly.
“They like what they're looking at,” you clarify, making him blink in surprise and drop his head to scoff.
“There’s plenty of pretty women,” you continue and avert your gaze to fiddle with the swan in your hand.
Choso slowly drags his eyes up and watches you wiping the pad of your thumb over the glass. “I don’t need pretty women looking at me,” he mumbles, causing you to scoff breathlessly and lift your gaze to pass him a quizzical look.
“No?” You ask slowly. “You’re living now, it's normal.”
Choso's brown eyes lift off the swan and find your fire-kissed eyes shine even brighter. “Well,” he mumbles almost timidly but doesn’t finish because you cut in.
“As your friend I encourage it,” you try to comfort his worry. “It’s nice. Being loved by someone is a gift, like, you’re seeing radiant colors, the sun rising beyond the horizon, and the stars painting the dark sky for the first time. And loving someone is,” you sigh and smile. “It’s like breathing. You can’t live without it, it’s such a sweet relief…so I encourage it,” you laugh nervously.
“You might even find your own swan,” you mention and show him the swan he gave you.
Nevertheless, that makes him confused.
You smile at the swan. “Swans find one partner in their lifetime,” you share softly. “They fly around from pond to pond, lake to lake, and find one swan out of every place they visit and can visit and mate for life.” You peek over at him but quickly look away. “That’s what I mean,” you finish explaining.
Choso swallows thickly and shifts his feet, making the little pebbles scrape against the ground. And you now feel…stupid for saying all that, so you keep your eyes averted, and thank the fact that he can’t hear how fast your heart is beginning to race.
“Well,” Choso breaks his silence. “I didn't mean…you,” he says, making you snap your eyes over to him to watch him with hope you shouldn't have risen in the first place.
Yet the moment your softened red-orange eyes find Choso’s gaze every word he had just struggled to come up with, ‘poof’, vanishes and he’s just left with lips parted.
You keep looking into his eyes as you wait for what he’s going to say, but he can’t say a thing because the sound of Itadori muttering someone’s name steals your attention.
“Fushiguro.”
Out of the shadows comes Megumi Fushiguro, just like Okkotsu mentioned earlier. He looks just as broody as usual.
“Who’s that?” Choso asks you.
“Itadori’s friend and classmate,” you remind him. “Megumi Fushiguro. Urchin head,” you smile at your own joke.
“What’re you doing?” Fushiguro asks Itadori. “Let’s head back to Jujutsu High. The barrier around the school is loosening. As long as no one directly sees your face, it should be no problem for you to go back,” he assures Itadori. “We’ll rejoin the older students—”
“Stop,” Itadori cuts emotionally. “Don’t act like everything is normal. Don’t act like nothing happened! I killed people!” He cries out full of anger. “Because of me, lots of people died!”
“Yuji,” Choso tries to intervene, but you grab his wrist to stop him and let his friend handle it because no matter how close all three of you got during your time in hiding, he needs to hear from and talk to people he trusts more. You know you’d want that.
“It’s our fault,” Fushiguro argues. “Don’t be selfish and give up all alone. We aren’t heroes fighting for justice, we’re Jujutsu Sorcerers.”
Hmm…he kind of sounds like Suguru when he was in high school…
“No one can ever truly judge us so we must continually prove the worth of our existence,” Fushiguro continues to explain as Itadori gets on his feet. “And we don’t have the luxury of thinking about ourselves. We’ve just got to save people. I believe that was the original principle behind your actions. So start by saving me Itadori.”
You smile in admiration at his words and see Itadori’s eyes widen in reaction to what he hears too.
Hopefully, now he understands what you couldn't make him understand. He’s been beating himself up for too long because of it.
“Noritoshi Kamo has made plans for those involved with Jujutsu to face off in a Culling Game,” Fushiguro continues to share, making Choso’s hand fists out of annoyance over the simple mention of his father's antics.
“And Tsumiki is ensnared in that. So I’m begging you, Itadori. I need your strength.”
You look at Itadori as if this is some soap opera to you, and watch him as he looks at his friend with disbelief.
“Okkotsu,” Itadori mutters with his eyes on Fushiguro for a few seconds longer. “Sukuna is plotting something involving Fushiguro. He probably took over my body in Shibuya because I ate ten fingers all at once. I have ingested 15 fingers so. Even if I ate all remaining 5 in one go, I doubt he’d be able to take control, but,” he says coldly and looks at Okkotsu with a determined glare. “If I ever switch with Sukuna again, don't hesitate to kill me. I think you could do that.”
Okkotsu nods and assures Itadori. “Understood I’ll do what I can.”
You look at Choso and see him look concerned over what Itadori just ordered someone to do with what seems to be so much ease. But there’s nothing you can say to comfort him if you have no solution for that yourself. So you let it be.
“Fushiguro,” Itadori drifts his attention back to his friend. “What should I do?”
“First,” Fushiguro responds and lifts a finger. “We’ll go back to Jujutsu High and contact Master Tengen. We need to find out how to remove the seal on the prison realm. Also,” he lifts a second finger. “What are Noritoshi Kamo’s concrete objectives and future moves. The culling game is Jujutsu terrisom like never before. To fix this mess, we need to find the answers to these questions and I think only Master Tengen knows.”
“Maybe Tsukumo knows,” Itadori suggests.
You lean forward and cut in to answer. “This was her idea. We’re meeting up with her next, she’s hiding at the school.”
Itadori looks over at you and his eyebrows furrow in confusion. “Hiding?”
“She’s avoiding the higher-ups, she tends to do that,” you let him know.
“Hm.”
“The problem is Master Tengen’s concealing barrier, over 1,000 doors are continually shuffling,” Okkotsu interjects to add the major concern. “But only one leads to the tomb of the star corridor where master Tengen resides.”
“And we can’t contact Master Tengen if we don’t pick the right one?” Itadori asks, causing you to nod and hum.
“Mh-hmm, but—”
“Sorry Fushiguro, I have to ask.” Itadori cuts you off which if he just wanted answers from him he should’ve said.
“What happened to Kugisaki?” His sudden change in tone and questions surprise you and now you feel bad. Especially when all he gets is silence from Fushiguro.
“Oh…” Itadori whispers shakily as you see him fist his hand tightly. “I get it. I get it!!” He exclaims and drops his head as he handles his emotions.
“About that barrier,” Choso breaks his silence and catches Fushiguro by surprise, while you smile softly. “There may be a way past it.”
“Oh,” Okkotsu says softly. “You were listening?”
“What do you mean, Choso?” Itadori chimes in.
Choso gets up and steps forward. “Y/N once went in last year to steal the Death Painting Wombs,” he points back at you. “We can do the same.”
You nod and slap your thighs before you get up. “More or less of the same thing,” you add. “But yes we can go in. Choso and I planned it already. All we need is to meet up with Yuki and we can go. But first…”
Dinner!
After you pick up some fast food then you finally head to the school and Yuki. Which, since she is holed up she’s easy to find.
“Honey I’m home!” You announce happily and run past the students walking down the stairs to arrive in the hidden room.
“About time,” Yuki greets back with a small smile.
You offer her a small smile and don’t say a word to Maki Zen’in, you look at her and see the burn marks, but that’s all you do because Satoru told you that she and her classmates don’t like you after last year's events. Which is understandable. Plus you’re also kind of scared of Maki Zen’in. If she turns out anything like her relative she’ll be a terrifying person.
“I’ve brought you your dinner,” you let Yuki know and show off the bag before you run over and wrap an arm around her as a form of a quick greeting. When she takes the bag with her food you then jump over the couch and sit by her. “It’s a bit cold now, sorry it’s a long ways here.”
“It’s fine,” she assures you. “I don’t mind it cold actually.”
You glance at Maki talking to Okkotsu and whisper. “We brought her some too, it’s in the bag, give it to her.”
Yuki looks back at you. “Why don’t you?” She retorts.
You shoot her a pointed look and scoff. “Yeah right. She’s scary, you do it. Besides,” you yawn and lift your legs to rest them on Yuki’s lap as you sit back. “I brought it here.”
“Like if that has anything to do with anything,” she quips and peers back at Maki and Okkotsu.
“Is it okay for you to move around?” You catch Okkotsu ask.
“Yeah no problem,” Maki assures him nonchalantly.
“Here Maki,” Yuki says and hands Maki the food you had brought her before she interjects on the matter they were just speaking of. “It can’t be helped with burn scars. Even reverse cursed technique leaves a mark. I’d expect nothing less from someone physically gifted through heavenly restriction. It was her inborn physical toughness, not curse tolerance, that saved her life. It’s bad about the business with the head of the family.”
You scoff in amusement at that last bit.
“Well,” Maki says. “I wasn’t going for it. Megumi,” she changes the subject and looks over at Fushiguro. “What about Master Tengen’s barrier?”
“About that,” he mutters.
Alas, he doesn’t get to finish because Choso then steps forward and pats his shoulder to cut in. “I’ll explain.”
Since you already listened to his plan, and you went over it with him not so long ago you close your eyes to try and get a quick power nap, maybe?
“Between the doors and the tomb lies the cursed warehouse where Jujutsu High stores cursed tools and objects,” you hear his explanation in the background. “It holds the remains of my younger brothers Noranso, Sho-oso, Tanso, Sanso, Kotsuso, and Shoso. Even if they are remains, with the six together, a side effect of my cursed technique should provide some guidance.”
“Good!” Yuki exclaims and then moments after that you feel an elbow hit the side of your boob.
“Ow,” you whine and open your eyes, catching Yuki getting up as she takes a bite of her food—“you just hit my boob,” you snap.
“You were asleep.”
You pout in annoyance. “I didn’t even get to,” you grumble and lazily push yourself off the couch.
“That’s fine but,” Maki adds to the previous topic. “Who’s this guy?”
You glance over at Choso and before you can properly introduce him, Itadori responds, making you look over at him with curiosity.
“For now, think of him as my big brother,” he shares, making you smile proudly for Choso.
And when you look at him again you see him look completely baffled before he throws his head up and exclaims out of excitement. “Yuji!!!”
This is the first time you’ve heard him yell like that, he’s usually so soft-spoken, both because he's reserved and nonchalant. So hearing him shout with so much emotion actually makes you happy and even prouder that it was Itadori who got that out of Choso.
“See,” you tell him right away as you meet halfway to follow the others out of the hideout. “What did I tell you? He just needed time.”
Choso's lips pull to a wobbly smile and you can’t help but smile wider and with more admiration.
“You were right,” he says in a happy quivering voice.
You wrap your arm around his shoulders and give him a friendly partial hug. “I’m happy for you,” you let him know, making him look over at you with his eyes glossy and his smile unbreakable.
“Thank you, y/n,” he says in a soft voice.
You respond with a grin and steal a glance at his lips, which he answers by looking at your own lips.
But, neither of you do a thing about it, you pull your arm off his shoulders and look away, catching Yuki watching you.
Thus to get away from your temptation you skip over and catch up to Yuki as you walk out the door and step outside.
“Now that everything is tense here will you be staying longer?” You ask her since she still likes to bounce from place to place.
“Hm, no,” she answers without thinking about it. “I’ll take a vacation after this.”
You scoff.
“Why don’t you and your girl come with me?” She nudges your arm. “You deserve it.”
You draw out a deep breath. “I don’t think I can,” you break it to her right away. “So much to do here. I mean, I would like to take a vacation, but I don’t think I can anytime soon.”
“You have a mountain of people who can take care of your community while you’re gone, I mean Larue still lives there,” she brings up.
You avert your gaze and mumble, “yeah I know, but I need to take care of stuff here. It’s not…it was easier when Suguru was with me.”
“Oh.” Yuki proceeds to go quiet for a moment before she comes up with a way around your predicament. “Well, we don’t have to just leave. We can plan it.”
You hum and look over at her. As she feels your stare she looks at you and stares into your eyes before she quips. “Your eyes still creep me out. They’re like little torches.”
You laugh and smirk as something pops into your mind. “You know who likes my eyes?” You ask playfully.
Yuki's eyebrows furrow and she presses. “Who?”
You grin. “My sexy pirate husband.” You snicker.
Yuki rolls her eyes and groans.
“Wait who?” Itadori asks from the front of the damn group.
“Don’t—”
“Will Turner,” you share happily even if he was eavesdropping.
“Who?”
You happily pull your phone out and quickly find a photo of the man you’re talking about in your gallery. “Him, a character from a pirate movie,” you show off proudly. “Sexy pirate husband!”
Choso had walked to Itadori’s side amidst your conversation with Yuki and slowly looks over his shoulder to see who it is you’re speaking about.
“Isn’t he dreamy?” You coo and lean your head against your phone.
“Tsk.” Someone lets out with clear annoyance, but you don’t see who.
“He’s a fictional character,” Yuki likes to point out.
“So? He’s still hot.” You snap and keep admiring the picture. “Especially in that one scene where he grazes his lips over his lover's leg.” You giggle. “I never wanted to be someone so bad until the day I saw that scene. I combusted that day.”
“You need to obsess over a real man,” she teases.
“Like Legolas,” you add quickly and snap your fingers.
“Fictional elf,” she remarks.
“You sound like Suguru,” you mutter and put your phone away. “It’s okay, I've got plenty of love to go around.” You touch your chest and she rolls her eyes, making you snicker and see in that moment Maki Zen’in looking back at you. Not Yuki, you.
Since it is quite a long walk towards Tengen, there’s a lot of time, and she keeps glancing back at you as if looking for something in you. And you have an idea of what it is.
“If you’re looking for an apology,” you cut in bluntly. “You won’t get one.”
Maki looks back again and keeps her eye on you.
“You wouldn't get one even if you had died. I did what I thought was right that day.”
“You almost killed us, was that right?” She argues, and you chuckle.
“If we wanted you dead,” you mention with a smirk. “We would’ve killed you. I could’ve killed you before you lifted your weapon that day. But you’re here. You all are.”
Maki doesn’t counter with anything anymore, there was just no reasoning that would change your mind and nothing to throw at you that would affect you in any way she wanted, so she leaves it be and you continue.
“I’ll tell you this. To all you kids…” you pause and let out a deep breath, and all the kids you’re referring to look back at you one way or another.
“Don’t feel sorry or drown in guilt,” you continue with confidence so they believe what you’re saying. “Because there will come a time in your sorcerer career in which you will face a difficult situation. It’s a part of being a sorcerer. If you go on to think about it you will destroy yourself, so the best thing to do is let it go and live your life.”
Suguru faced a difficult situation and he drowned in the aftermath. He was never the same after that. You’ve faced difficult situations and you chose to get better because of it. That’s what you want for them as students, so you hope they listen, and you hope Itadori especially takes that advice.
“We’re here,” Yuki announces. “Just past those doors will be the main doors that lead to the barrier.”
You look around and it’s quiet, so you point it out. “Hey, there’s no guards.”
“There’s a lot to do,” Yuki says as she walks ahead when Fushiguro opens the doors. “Besides the last time you came here, you came to steal.”
True.
“Meh,” you let out and walk in after her.
Once everyone is inside, Choso opens the door and right away you’re bombarded by a thousand doors and memories.
The last time you were here you burnt all the doors down except for one, this time there’s no such disaster, Choso follows his brotherly instincts and leads everyone to red double doors at the top row of doors.
Perhaps if you had him last year you could have come and left before Satoru found you, maybe you could have found Suguru and saved him that day…
“Without a doubt, my brothers sleep beyond those doors,” Choso shares as he gently touches the door. “Let’s open them.”
You stay where you are and watch Choso and Itadori pull open the doors and welcome a dark eerie sight you recognize, meaning you’re on top of the dead forest.
“Let’s go,” Yuki urges the group and walks to the doors. “Deep in, there’s an elevator to the tomb.”
She jumps down first and Choso and Itadori follow. You let Okkotsu and Maki follow behind them before you land in the eerie dead forest.
“It’s even more eerie than I remember,” you murmur with distaste and break into a quick pace to catch up to Yuki as she leads the group forward now, past the warehouse, the place where Choso’s brothers are being kept, but can’t get into just yet.
They’re all just past his grasp, all he’s wanted in this world, but he has to leave them behind for now to help Itadori. Which shouldn’t take so long, but you can imagine his impatience and frustration by being so close, but not being able to reach them. It’s also why you can’t help but admire him though, he’s willing to walk away without them and wait longer for the little brother he just met.
Yet where there’s admiration you also mostly feel bad for him when you look back and see him with his hand pressed against that metal door, and a look of longing on his pale face.
You can relate to that longing, you've missed your brother too. He’s trapped now too waiting to be let out. You’d tell Choso that, comfort him over the fact that he’ll get them out soon enough because this is something you’ve talked with him about, but as you keep peering back you see that Itadori is with him, so you let them have this moment and continue at Yuki’s side. Pius you shouldn’t say a thing, he’ll just give you his rare and charming smiles, and your heart will swoon and sigh, while your mind clears and thinks about nothing else but him and how much you like to see him smile. And you can’t be swooning over him, you’ve told yourself that already.
However, when you’re on that elevator ride down, you end up beside him and you can’t help yourself. Besides it’d be rude not to, right?
“There’s only one way out,” you whisper so your conversation is not the center of attention in the silence. “You’ll take them with you on your way out.”
Choso sighs deeply and nods. “Yes, I know.”
You look over at him and he looks at you.
“You did what you promised,” he whispers with his eyes softening. “Thank you.”
Why can’t he just stay nonchalant? Why does he have to look at you in such a gentle way?
“In the end, I didn’t do a thing, you did, so don’t thank me,” you argue since it’s true.
“You still came,” he rebuttals.
“Well—”
“I thought you said to listen when someone is giving you gratitude,” he argues, making you grow flustered and grin at the floor over the fact that he’s using your own lesson back at you.
“Take it,” he insists.
You let out a deep breath and then look up at him with a softer smile. “You welcome Choso.” You give in.
Choso holds your gaze and hums.
The elevator doors proceed to open and you force yourself to quickly look away before your desire burns hotter and you’re tempted to close the gap and feel the warmth of his lips on yours. Nonetheless, when you step out behind the others, you wish you could be enveloped in that sweet moment again because now you see blood stained on the ground and their faces become clearer than the sky.
You didn’t know them long whatsoever, but the deaths of Kurio and Amanai still had an impact. Amanai’s death is why you hate non-sorcerers the way you do now.
“Blood stains?” Itadori is the only one that probes. “What happened here?”
You fall behind this time and stare at the large blood stain that they couldn’t remove, a bad memory of a sad day.
“It was 11 years ago,” you mutter and continue to lag behind.
“Y/N,” Choso calls out when he sees you fall behind.
You hesitate before you look over at him and break away to fall beside him and continue to follow the group.
“Are you okay?” He asks.
You meet his worried gaze and assure him with a gentle nod.
“Now that I think about it,” Yuki adds thoughtfully. “That’s when everything began to get distorted.”
You enter the tunnels that lead to the last barrier and approach the spot where Amanai died.
“All right, everyone the main shine is through here,” Yuki shares as she approaches the end of the tunnel.
Nevertheless, when you all walk out instead of seeing the row of buildings and the spot where Amanai died, you actually walk into a purely white room with nothing but what seems to be an endless room.
“Uh, this not the way to the shrine,” you point out.
“Damnit,” Yuki hisses.
“There’s nothing here,” Itadori points out the obvious, and Fushiguro follows to add a comment.
“This is the main shrine?”
Then again you never seeked the main shrine so what if this is it?
“No,” Yuki clarifies. “It’s rejecting us. Tengen doesn’t interfere with this world, but I thought contact was possible now that Six Eyes are sealed. I was too optimistic.” She mumbles.
You groan. “Well Tengen probably has the answer on how to get Satoru out,” you spat in frustration. “We have to keep trying.”
Yuki peers at you over her shoulder with a glare directed at the being not welcoming you in. “There’s probably archives with answers on the Prison Realm in your family home.”
You scoff. “My family home?” You remark as if it’s a joke.
Yuki nods. “The big families keep secrets no one else does, our answers will be there.”
You step towards her and argue “Yuki without Satoru gone I am not welcome home. I'm disowned in the eyes of my parents and the rest of my family.”
“I know,” she rebuttals. “But I am sure they’ll let us in when you tell them what you’re after.”
You part your lips to argue, but she’s right, so you just huff and already begin to dread what you have to do.
“Let’s head back then,” Okkotsu interjects. “We can break apart, some of us can get answers on how to get Gojo out, while some others go and help Tsumiki, she doesn’t have time.”
You groan and ball your hands into fists as you grow nervous about going home. You’re not even out of this space and you’re already starting to feel nauseous.
“Leaving so soon?” A voice booms out, causing your shoulders to jump, and your hand to fly over to grab Choso’s arm as if it were instinct.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” they add behind you, so you look back and see a tall…creature with a weirdly shaped head and four eyes.
“Child of Zen’in, Child of Gojo…”
Tsk.
“…Michizane’s descendent, Death Painting Womb, and Sukuna’s vessel.”
Tengen?

I just want to say thank you for always writing my silly little request! I was wondering if maybe you could write about Noritoshi comforting non-binary- reader about being trans/non-binary? Again thank you sm for putting up with all of my noritoshi ask ^_^
OF COURSE OMG ITS AN HONOR TO TAKE YOUR REQUESTS :'))))))) I love writing for Noritoshi (as you can all tell lmao) and you always have such cute ideas!!! I hope I was able to do the scenario justice here-- I kinda ended up going down a self conscious/uncomfortable in body route which I hope is okay but lmk if you'd like a different scenario!
Also, I wrote for a non-binary reader but if you'd like a transgender reader version I can definitely whip that up so just lmk <3 I'd love to take more of your requests when my inbox opens back up in a few days!! Much love to you <3 <3

Warnings: negative self image
You know those days where everything just feels... off?
Your hair isn't going right, your outfit looks wrong, you have a weird, uncomfortable sensation flowing through your body at all times?
Yeah?
That's how you felt today.
There was no rhyme or reason for you to be experiencing such dread like this, but you were, and you absolutely hated it. You pulled down at the hem of your oversized sweatshirt, an outfit choice much too warm for the hot sun beaming down on you, but you couldn't bear to wear anything more revealing while you were in a state of self loathing. You finally slowed your jog to a walking pace, happy to be finished with today's brutal training. You made your way to a tree, relishing in the shade of the leaves, but it did little to cool you down. As you tried to catch your breath from your previous exercise, you spied Noritoshi on his way to you, a bottle of water in his hand.
"You're getting better at training every day, y/n. I'm proud of your hard work," he said, handing you the bottle with a hint of a smile on his lips. You eagerly downed the drink, grateful for the chance to cool your insides. Unfortunately, it didn't work all too well, and you were back to sweating up a storm.
"You can take your sweatshirt off, you know. It's not public indecency," your boyfriend joked, tugging at the cuff of your sleeve. You quickly yanked your arm away, avoiding eye contact with the man who was now frowning.
"I'm fine," you mumbled, looking off into the distance. "It's not that hot."
Noritoshi could tell immediately that something wasn't right with you, but he wasn't the pushy type. He understood that sometimes, people had things going on that they didn't want to talk about, and he respected that. However, he wasn't going to let you suffer in the blazing heat.
"C'mon." He nodded toward the dorm kitchen. "Let's grab something to eat."
"I'm not hungry. You go ahead."
Okay, he knew something was really wrong.
"Obviously I know something's bothering you and you don't have to tell me what, but could you please at least go inside? I don't want you to get heatstroke," he said, his gray eyes filled with worry.
"I'm gonna go take a shower," you said, not meeting his gaze, "and then I'm gonna take a nap. See you."
You hurried away from Noritoshi, not wanting him to look at you anymore. When you didn't feel comfortable in your own skin, you didn't want others to see you and any time you were with Noritoshi, it was like he knew you better than you knew yourself, and you weren't in the mood to explain all of your self doubts that he probably already guessed you were experiencing. When you got in the shower, you tried to scrub away all the feelings of self consciousness, but when you were drying off and spotted yourself in the mirror, they all came back. You ran back to your dorm as quick as you could, thankfully without running into anyone else you knew. With a sigh, you threw yourself on your bed and laid in silence, too upset to attempt to sleep like your original plan was. You stared at the ceiling, wishing you could just ignore these thoughts. For you, being nonbinary was the perfect way to express your identity, and most days, everything was fine and you were positively content with yourself. On the days you were plagued with self image issues, though, you found yourself wondering how you could look better, fit in more. Would people respect you if you dressed differently or if you aligned with a certain gender instead of rejecting that notion as a whole? You groaned.
If I changed all of that about me, then I wouldn't be me.
You were kicked out of your thoughts by a knock at the door. You ignored it, hoping the person would go away.
"I know you're in there and I know you're not napping. You can't sleep when you're upset."
Yep, Noritoshi knows you too well.
"Come in," you huffed, though you were secretly relieved he came to find you. If there was anyone who could lift your spirits, it was him. Your boyfriend walked over to your bed after setting a bag of food on the table. Your stomach growled in anticipation of the delicious meal he brought, making him laugh a bit.
"I also knew you were lying when you said you weren't hungry."
Noritoshi laid on the bed next to you, resting his chin in his hand and staring at you with a mix of fondness and concern. "You wanna talk about it?"
"I... no, it's dumb. I'll get over it."
"Do you want to get over it or work through it?"
You sat up, your eyebrows furrowing. "Are you always this profound?"
"Only around you, my love."
You playfully scoffed as he patiently continued to wait for you to speak your mind, because of course he knew you would when you were ready.
You took a deep breath. "It's about me. My body and my... identity."
That got his attention as he, too, sat up to show you he was taking you seriously.
"Today has been really, really, crappy for me in terms of accepting myself. I don't know why, but it was just impossible. Every time I looked at myself, I... didn't like what I saw. I didn't feel like I deserved to stand by your side as your partner and that's why I ran away earlier. Being nonbinary is great and it's how I want to express myself but today, it just... it didn't feel right."
He nodded solemnly. "Do you think you would feel better if you didn't use a label at all? Would that help ease some of these feelings? Maybe you wouldn't be so hard on yourself if you didn't feel pressured to fit in a certain group."
"I see where you're coming from, but nonbinary is still what feels right," you said. "It's just hard sometimes, you know?"
"Admittedly, I don't, but I do know what it's like to feel out of place or like you don't belong somewhere. But, y/n," he said, earnestly grabbing your hands in his own, "I don't ever want you to feel like that around me. I want to be that safe space where you feel totally, completely comfortable just being yourself. You're so kind, funny, and you have a heart of gold. I could list a million more different attributes that I find so wonderful about you. I'm honored to have you as a partner. I love you for you, and you should, too. Don't be afraid to show the world just how special you are."
Noritoshi gave your hands a squeeze before leaning in to give you a gentle kiss, his soft lips leaving you breathless. When you both pulled away, he kept his forehead against yours, noses brushing one another.
"There's nobody more attractive than you, no matter how you dress, do your hair, or otherwise present or label yourself. You're perfect the way you are." He pressed a chaste kiss to your forehead. "And I will tell you that as many times as it takes for you to believe it." Another kiss, this time on both of your cheeks. "Got it?"
"Mmm, maybe another kiss like that first one will make me remember," you teased, causing Noritoshi to blush. It felt great to know that no matter what you were going through, you had a wonderful person there by your side to support you the best he could.

Hey babe! I always like to share my HC's with you~
So, back in 2020 I saw this thing on tiktok called "Shifting" so, bet, I made my script but I kept changing it over and over again bc I wanted it to go according to the jjk manga, like a self insert. Then, I decided to change things and make it more of my own story.
Yn was a foreigner student, another Gojo's adopted child from one of his missions and one day he decided to bring yn to Japan to train her because it was so hard to train when you live so far away (plus he misses your baked sweets). So the day yn arrives to Japan, she takes the wrong bus and ends up in the wrong city, at the wrong time and place. But was it really wrong?
Yn ends up in front of a school, and looks at a pink haired boy with a yellow hoodie. They locked eyes and then she senses the cursed energy and dashes inside the school to help the dark haired, emo— and pretty as hell, sorcerer. Her own cursed technique was magic, like a witch. (Let's fast foward that scene.)
So, when Yuji eats the finger and Gojo arrives and blah, blahnik, blah, yn makes a spell to unbound Sukuna from Yuuji... and it doesn't work like she intended to. Yeah, she separated them, but kept them bound like attuned twins, but she accidentally bound herself to Sukuna as well, which he hated and wanted to kill her for it. And tried to, only to find out you actually got great combat skills and you could harm him without cursed energy. Making the king of curses begrudgingly obsessed with yn.
Sukuna ends up— forcibly and begrudgingly, as a Jujutsu teacher along with his now best friend and leech, Gojo Satoru. The bound Yuuji, Sukuna and yn shares forces him not to hurt you two, and the curse ends up liking the modern world.
Sukuna being the lowkey Tsundere he is, would follow yn everywhere, would make the training sessions longer, know all your favorite foods and places where you dissapear to. He is rough, insults you constantly, flicks your forehead when you get distracted, when you do something reckless, when you eat too much junk food because he cares— he cares so much and he hates it. He hates you and how he can't actually hate you. He hates how kind and warm you are to him, how you always want to know about his past and no matter how disgusting and atrocious his actions were, you don't judge him and say "I won't judge you from your past, we only have the present moment and so far, you've been nice, Sukuna." You say grinning and the king of curses flickers your forehead "dumb brat" he mumbles and dashes away so you can't see his furious blush. Sukuna, who enjoys your banters and constant insults, how feisty you are and how you're not afraid of him. Sukuna who lowkey loves when you touch him, even if it was a quick brush.
Sukuna who hates when yn hangs out too much with Gojo or Megumi, mostly when you left for missions with them. Sukuna who only tolerates Yuuji to be by your side because he knows what goes into his mind and you're just his twins best friend— both of you dumb with barely one brain cell together. Sukuna who is proud as fuck with your perfect grades and when the higher ups ascended you to first grade sorcerer. Sukuna who often tugs down the hem of your skirt because you're dragging too much attention, or he would walk behind you. Sukuna who is a gentleman. Sukuna who almost goes feral when the Kyoto school invited you to transfer schools. He hates Noritoshi Kamo since then.
Sukuna, who actually loves teaching and being a sorcerer again (and the big, fat paycheck that comes weekly.) Sukuna who is always looking foward to accompany you to missions even though he insults you all the way and acts like you're a nuisance. But deep down he is having a heart attack afraid of you getting hurt. Sukuna who actually feels dizzy when you stand in the middle of a puddle of blood from a curse you just killed. Your pretty uniform soaked in blood and shredded organs, but your beautiful smile bright as you held the head of a special grade curse, dangling it as you cheered "You saw that? I killed it! Next time it will be your ancient ass!" Yn chirped, and Sukuna had an inner turmoil, the worry of you being hurt and his stom fluttering with butterflies from the grotesque scene that was somehow endearing.
Sukuna who made sure you were save from injuries, sighing heavily in relief not realizing he wasn't breathing all this time. Sukuna who takes you to your favorite restaurant because you are a bottomless pit and need to be fed. Sukuna who never let's you pay but he acts annoyed about it. Sukuna who often tucks you to bed "I'm doing this because you're too dumb to do it yourself, woman."
Sukuna, who took a long time to even accept his feelings— let alone confess to you. Sukuna, who the first time he had sex with you, it was slow, gentle, almost as if he was worshipping you. No. He was worshipping you. How a pretty, small and kind creature like you could help him redeem himself (he is still an arrogant asshole though), how can he not worship you all night long? He can't help but whimper when he slides inside of yn, he never knew until that moment how lonely his life was, how much he craved to feel wanted, loved, accepted. And he realizes, how much he loves you.
You can use this if you liked it👀💖
AWWW RENEE, I LOVE THIS 💗💗😭😭 I adore it when Sukuna tries to act so tough and tries to convince himself he doesn't feel any affection for y/n, but he DOES care and he DOES fall in love and AAHH I am so weak for that 😭😭
Thank you so much for sharing this with me 💗💗

A/N: PART TWO OF THEEEEE EXCHANGE EVENT
The next morning, there was a light knock on your door. It woke you up instantly, but Yuta was still exhausted from yesterday and did not stir. Shoving your feet in a pair of slippers, you yawned as you opened the door to let whoever it was in.
Expecting Gojo and preparing to tune out his energy, which was entirely too much for the early hour, you were shocked to alertness by the sight of Noritoshi. You remembered what he had said yesterday all too well, and you had a feeling you knew what he was there to speak to you about.
“Y/N,” he greeted, “Perhaps here is not the best place to do it, but I dare say we need to discuss some things.”
“If you’ll give me a moment, I’ll get ready,” you said, “We can go on a walk around campus afterwards and speak in a more private manner.”
“I’ll wait out here,” he said, dipping his head respectfully. To return the favor, you got ready in record time — or at least as fast as you could without disturbing Yuta’s sleep. He was so peaceful in his rest that you believed it would be a sin to do so.
Noritoshi offered you his arm when you rejoined him; warily, you took it, wondering if it was some sort of trap. But he had never tried to trick you before, and in all honesty, you did not believe villainy to be in his character. So you allowed him to lead you around the campus, your quick, light steps contrasting with his sweeping, languid ones.
“I would not have hurt you nearly as badly as he seemed to believe I would,” Noritoshi began. “I hope you know that.”
“It was still rude,” you teased, but when he did not even smile, you relented. “Yes, I know. I wish he hadn’t attacked you the way he did — he will not apologize, so I shall do so in his stead. But your face looks like new, so at least there’s that.”
“Your father is a gifted healer,” he said.
“So I have been told,” you said, and there was a heavy, pregnant silence that hung between you two for a second. Finally, Noritoshi cleared his throat.
“He loves you,” he said.
“Yes,” you said. He already knew; you saw no point in denying it. Yuta wore his emotions on his sleeve, so you were in truth lucky that Noritoshi and Todo were the only ones that knew.
“And you?” he said. You frowned.
“What?” you said.
“Do you feel the same for him?” he said. When you did not respond, he hummed. “I see. I should’ve known; if not him, it would’ve been Toge Inumaki or Kinji Hakari or Maki Zenin or someone. What we have is a poor substitute for love, so it’s only natural you sought it out in other places.”
“What now?” you said. “Our families will annul the engagement as soon as they find out of my infidelity.”
“Infidelity? Only of the emotional sort, I presume?” he said.
“We have, er — is it really your business how far I have gone with him?” you said.
“Yes,” he said bluntly.
“I suppose it is,” you sighed, “We have kissed.”
“Then you are right in saying they’d disapprove of the engagement. What’s more, you’ll probably be ousted from jujutsu society — not even Gojo will be able to save you from that fate. You will be a pariah for crossing the higher ups and the Big Three clans, shunned wherever you go,” he said. Your eyes widened before your shoulders sagged.
“Then it shall be the consequences of my actions,” you said. Noritoshi’s face was soft as you paused in front of a koi pond. The fish darted around; one leapt out at the sight of you and landed by your feet. You gasped, kneeling to take it in your hands and wondering what had possessed it to leave the safety of the water.
“Miwa accidentally trained that one to jump whenever it sees humans,” Noritoshi said fondly.
“Smart fish,” you cooed. Satisfied with the explanation, you set it back into the pond. “I don’t have any treats, though, I’m sorry.”
“It’ll be alright,” he said as you watched the fish glide away. You stayed on the ground by the crystal water, trying to come to terms with your fate.
“So,” you said, trying to sound casual even while you were seconds away from tears, “When will you do it? If you could let me know in advance, I’d appreciate it. Just so I can pack my things and wish everyone farewell. Though I know you probably doubt I deserve it…”
“Never,” he said. “I’ll never tell them.”
You shot to your feet. His expression was placid, as if he hadn’t just said one of the most outrageous things you had ever heard.
“Noritoshi? What do you mean by that?” you said.
“I loved you first,” he said with a shrug, “Not romantically, of course, but we are partners, aren’t we? I won’t do that to you. I don’t care if you have laid with every man this side of Japan; you may do as you wish, Y/N. I will not be the one to stop you.”
“Are you being serious right now?” you said.
“I have never meant anything more. Only the grandest of fools would believe themselves able to stop you from doing what you please, and I am many things, but I do not think that a fool is one of them. If it is Yuta that you want, then all I ask is that you do a good job of hiding it from the higher ups,” he said.
You felt stupid for crying now, but you could not stop tears from blurring your vision as you hugged him tightly, pressing your face into his shoulder. He patted your back soothingly.
“You mean it?” you sniffed. “You really mean it?”
“I do,” he said, “I really do.”
You were in much higher spirits after speaking with Noritoshi. To discover that he was on your side was so immeasurably relieving that you almost combusted. In fact, the only thing that was able to pop the balloon of your good mood was meeting Gojo on your way into the dining hall for breakfast — and even then, it was not Gojo but rather the news he bore that was so terrible.
“Y/N! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!” he said when he saw you and Noritoshi strolling towards the dining hall, engaged in a conversation on the merits of setting Todo up with a woman — he thought it might make him settle down, while you argued it’d only fuel his ego to immeasurable heights.
“Sorry, Noritoshi and I needed some time together after yesterday,” you said. “What’s up?”
“As you know, the individual challenge is today,” he said, waving Noritoshi off and then all but dragging you into the smaller dining room that you and Yuta had eaten in prior to the teamwork challenge.
“I did not know that,” you said.
“Hm. Well, it’s relatively simple in its format: each Tokyo student is paired up with a Kyoto student, and they partake in a one on one battle in an arena. The winner gains points for their team; more points are won for defeating higher-ranked sorcerers, fancy maneuvers, skilled use of cursed technique, and other such arbitrary categories. The loser can also get a few points for the same categories, though nowhere near as much as the winners will,” he said.
“But there’s only two of us and six of them,” you said.
“You and Yuta both have to take part in three matches each. Your opponents have been randomly assigned, and the order of go is also already determined — that’s actually what I’m here to give you. You’ll have breakfast to come up with your strategy, and then it’s game time! We already won the first challenge, so we have a good shot at winning the event overall, but this is not time to be cocky,” Gojo explained.
“Right,” you said. “Can I have the list?”
“Sure thing!” he said, handing you a folded piece of paper and then pinching your cheek. “Good luck! I know you both will make me proud, no matter what.”
“Thanks,” you said, disconcerted at his strange behavior and then brushing it off with a shrug, leaving him behind so that you could speak with Yuta, who was sitting and staring out the window.
“Hey,” he said when he noticed your entrance. “How are you feeling?”
“I should be asking you that. Aren’t you tired from the challenge yesterday?” you said.
“I’ll survive,” he said, “Gojo gave you the list?”
“He did. Let’s see what we have to face,” you said, unfolding the paper, smoothing out the creases, and laying it on the table for him to read over your shoulder.
Match One: Yuta Okkotsu vs. Ultimate Mechamaru
Match Two: Y/N L/N vs. Momo Nishimiya
Match Three: Yuta Okkotsu vs. Kasumi Miwa
Match Four: Y/N L/N vs. Mai Zenin
Match Five: Yuta Okkotsu vs. Noritoshi Kamo
Match Six: Y/N L/N vs. Aoi Todo
“What are they thinking?” Yuta said, pursing his lips. “Why would they put me against Miwa? It feels a little unfair.”
“What’s unfair is putting me against Todo!” you said. “How do they expect me to win against him?”
“As someone who’s fought both of you, I’d put you at similar levels of difficulty to beat, actually,” Yuta said, “Todo has way more brute strength, and he’s also more intelligent than he lets on at first, but you trump in agility and cunning. It’s a more even matchup than you might anticipate.”
“Rather, it looks more like the higher ups are itching for some entertainment, and the name of today’s amusement is ‘watch Y/N get pummelled,’” you said, dismissing his words instantly.
“Just focus on winning your first two fights. We should get enough points from the other five battles that even if you do lose against Todo, we have a chance at winning,” Yuta said.
“Right. Maybe I’ll throw the towel in early against him or something,” you said.
“If you want, though I still think you have a chance at beating him,” he said.
“You’re just biased because I’m on your team,” you said.
“It could be,” he said reluctantly. “Here, eat something. It’s not good to fight people on an empty stomach. And I filled up some water bottles, so you better drink a ton while I’m in the arena. It’s really important to stay hydrated.”
You gave him an amazed look as he snatched your plate and began to load it with food. There was an endearing furrow to his brow as he did so, looking so serious about your wellbeing that you nearly melted into a puddle.
“Thank you,” you said, beginning to eat. “I’ll be sure to.”
The difference between today and yesterday was that Yuta actually had to put some effort into fighting Mechamaru — and it was not because of Mechamaru’s astounding skill but rather because Yuta was not inhuman. He was tiring; not only had he fought for so long in the teamwork challenge, he had also been hit directly in a weak spot. Unlike the others, he also had not been offered any healing, due to the fact that he had not even sustained superficial injuries, so he was especially drained because of this.
Even with Yuta operating at a quarter of his normal skill, it was still a simple victory for him. He narrowly dodged a few of Mechamaru’s beams, but he was able to behead the puppet and render it useless, winning your team its first points.
“Nice job,” you said when he collapsed on the bench beside you, offering him the water bottle you had been sipping from, “Drink.”
“Thanks,” he said, “You ready?”
“It doesn’t really matter if I am, as it seems like it’s time. Wish me luck,” you said.
“You’ll do fine without luck,” he said with a smile. “Really. You’ve got this.”
“The match between Y/N L/N of Tokyo and Momo Nishimiya of Kyoto will now commence. May the best sorcerer win!” Iori shouted over the din of the crowd. The fight between Yuta and Mechamaru had not been anywhere near as exciting as the one about to take place — although you had taken down Mai, Miwa, and the grade 2 curse in the teamwork challenge, you were still considered somewhat untested. There were no guarantees whenever you were put into the arena, and you knew that in general your battles would have greater audience interest when compared to Yuta’s.
You were still, waiting to see what Momo’s first move would be in favor of attacking. She was one that neither you nor Yuta had faced yesterday, so you still did not really know what her technique was yet, which made attacking outright a stupid proposition.
She held a broom in her right hand, skittering about the arena nervously. You kept a steady gaze on her, which only served to make her panic more. Biting her lower lip, she mounted her broom and used it to glide into the air.
You theorized that her technique had something to do with the broom. Deciding you should attack before she got out of your range — you had no idea what her range was, and what if it was greater than yours? — you tossed an experimental needle at her. She sprang off of the broom, holding on with one hand and falling to the ground before creating a gust of air with the bristles to send the needle flying back at you.
“A regular witch, huh?” you said under your breath. If you tried to close the distance, it was likely she’d take off into the air again, which would only put you at a disadvantage. Obviously, she could counter any needles you threw at her, and the wind she sent towards you thrummed with cursed energy that spoke of potential harm.
You needed to figure out a way to separate her and the broom. You narrowed your eyes before deciding to test something out. Rushing towards her, you threw a set of needles at the same time as you tried to punch her.
As you had expected, she ran backwards, her broom operating by itself to ward off the needles and then block the punch. You jerked your hand back before you could make contact with the wood and nodded in satisfaction.
“You look pretty happy with yourself,” Momo said.
“Maybe,” you said with a shrug. “You look like you’re going to piss your pants.”
“You’re cruder than I expected,” she said, wrinkling her nose. You chose not to respond, not having the time to engage in banter when there was a match to win. Momo would probably be one of your easier battles; actually, so would Mai. You needed to save yourself for the match against Todo, but to do that, you had to end this game with Momo, and end it quickly.
“Dissection,” you said, raising a needle when the familiar white glow appeared and sending it towards Momo. Before she could think of escaping, you threw more and more, in all different directions, so that at least one would hit her. In the meantime, you sprinted towards her again, and as her broom began to whack the needles like baseballs, you slid into the sand, dodging your own cursed weapons, which were now going every which direction. Tightening your hand, you struck the broomstick in its glowing white center. It snapped in half and fell to the ground.
“How did you do that?” she said in horror. You took out another needle and were almost lazy when you poked her in the collarbone in it, inducing a temporary paralysis.
“Because it’s a part of your technique, my own technique recognized your broom as a part of your body,” you explained, “I used Dissection on it to find its weak spots and hit it there. Unfortunately, it seems you’re weak without it, so…”
“In the match between Y/N L/N of Tokyo and Momo Nishimiya of Kyoto, Y/N L/N is the winner!” Gojo cheered, sticking his tongue out at Iori.
Thunderous applause echoed in your ears as you helped Momo stand, half-carrying, half-dragging her to her team’s side and then joining Yuta, who high-fived you.
“Told you you could do it!” he said. You waved him off.
“Ah, it was only because I could use my technique on her broom. If that hadn’t worked, she would’ve had me for sure,” you said.
“I think you won because you’re talented, and if that hadn’t worked, then you would’ve figured something else out, but it doesn’t matter, because it did work,” he said.
“I guess so. Please don’t go too hard on Miwa,” you said when you saw the blue-haired girl take a determined stance.
“Don’t plan on it,” he said, pinching the bridge of his nose and then trudging onto the battlefield.
The fight between the two of them was over almost before it began. Yuta was athletic enough to dodge her sure-hit Simple Domain, doing a flip over her sword and using the hilt of his own to hit her on the head and knock her out within the first few minutes of the match. He then stumbled over to you, running a hand through his messy hair and offering you a wan smile.
“Are you sure you can keep fighting?” you said, placing a hand on his shoulder. He was not convincing when he nodded.
“I’ll be fine,” he said.
“I’ll make sure my father looks at you after this,” you promised, standing and stretching like a cat before patting your pouch of needles and then jogging onto the sand of the arena, where Mai was waiting.
“Looks like it’s you and me again,” she said, lifting her gun contemplatively. “What’s that saying? ‘Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight?’ Looks like you didn’t follow that advice very well.”
“Don’t forget who beat you last time,” you said. “I don’t need a gun to win.”
“The match between Y/N L/N of Tokyo and Mai Zenin of Kyoto will now commence. May the best sorcerer win!” Gojo said, holding up a peace sign. You knew that both the L/N clan and the Zenin clan had representatives at the exchange event, eagerly waiting to see how their respective members would perform. Even if your previous showdown with Mai had ended in your victory, you knew the higher ups were closely watching to see how the match would go. If you did well, it meant more favor for the L/N clan, but the opposite was also true. If you did poorly, you were sure to incur your family’s wrath.
Mai was not particularly inspired even with these facts evident; you wondered if she had not figured it out yet. All she had going for her was her gun — she did not seem to be particularly proficient in hand to hand combat, and if she had a technique, it had not manifested during the teamwork challenge, leading you to the conclusion that it was probably not particularly helpful.
“Gonna shoot?” you goaded. What you needed was for her to run out of bullets; her pistol only had a set amount, after all, and once she was out, she’d be as easy to get rid of as Momo had been without her broom.
“Since you asked so politely,” she growled, aiming and firing. Although you knew the bullets were not enough to kill you, you were still motivated to dodge them, knowing they’d definitely pack a punch. You tucked into a forward roll, the bullet flying over you. The advantage that you had was that the gun made noise when it fired, so you were able to hear her attacks well. Springing to a standing position once more, you turned to avoid her second shot.
“Maki’s tougher than you by far,” you said. “For example, she actually, you know, hits me.”
You were hoping to make her angry enough that she would lose control of her emotions, therefore becoming messier, less precise with her attacks. And if you could bully her into using up her bullets quickly, then all the better for it.
“Stop bringing her up,” Mai said. “You know that I hate her.”
“Well, I love her,” you said icily, “She is the reason that I am the person I am.”
“Really? Then I’m surprised you don’t hate her more,” Mai said dryly. You ground your teeth but stayed focused. If her goal was similar to yours, then you could not let her succeed. It was ironic that the same thing got to both of you — Maki. Even in her absence, she was the most important figure in this fight, and you could hear her telling you to beat Mai for her.
Maki would be upset if you lost the fight because of Mai insulting her. She’d smack you upside the head for daring to get emotional, and your poor head could not really handle that, so you resolved to keep your cool no matter what.
“Nice try,” you said, “But I’m quite certain that I am happy with myself.”
“How could you be? You’re the failure of your clan,” she said. You sprinted around erratically, not giving her a steady target. She scoffed and began to rapid-fire, making it difficult for you to avoid the bullets.
“And you’re not?” you said rhetorically, wincing as a bullet grazed your thigh, the only one that had hit you so far.
“Not exactly. That honor belongs to my dear, useless sister,” she said. Realizing she was out of bullets, you allowed yourself to be angry. How could she say such things about Maki? Beautiful Maki, strong Maki, Maki who was your very best friend in the entire world? Useless was far from the word to describe her.
“She’s not useless,” you said, taking out your needles and throwing them at her, one after the other in quick succession. “She’s not.”
Mai smiled, and you inhaled as you realized you had done the very thing you shouldn’t have. Your emotions had gotten the best of you, and you were about to pay the price for it. Whether you had counted wrong or it was a part of her technique, she was not out of bullets yet, and if you did not do something, you’d get hit right in the heart.
There was no way to dodge, not anymore, so you did the next best thing and threw a needle into its path. The piercing silver stuck into the bullet, and the resounding explosion spoke of cursed energy interacting with cursed energy, knocking both you and Mai back. The light of the reaction was blinding, and you squeezed your eyes shut, hoping beyond hope that you’d recover your eyesight first. If Mai could conjure up another bullet, it was entirely possible and in fact probable that you’d lose.
Blindly, you threw, blinking rapidly to clear the bright spots in your vision. Over and over — you were not sure if you had hit your mark — you threw needles until you were certain you had gotten her at least once. When you could see properly again, you cringed. Mai had long since fainted, and she resembled a pincushion from the amount of needles lodged in her.
“In the match between Y/N L/N of Tokyo and Mai Zenin of Kyoto, Y/N L/N is the winner!” Iori said, face tinged green as you crouched and began plucking needles out of Mai’s skin. Your father joined you, passing you back your needles and then running his hands down Mai’s arms and sides, healing her instantly.
“Sorry,” you said to her when her eyes fluttered open. She muttered something unintelligible as Momo came to her aid.
“She’ll take a second to recover. You really got her good,” your father said, hesitating before patting you on the hand. “Nice work.”
“Thank you, father,” you said, taken aback at the praise. “But me beating Mai was nearly a foregone conclusion. It’s Todo I must worry about.”
“They have you fighting Todo?” he said. You nodded.
“I think that between Yuta and I, we will have won enough fights that even with a single loss, we will still be victorious, but it remains that I am to face off against Todo in the next match,” you said.
“Good luck,” your father said gruffly, “You’ll put on a good showing, at the least.”
The faith from your father was more comforting than Yuta’s; he had never shown you any before, so it meant he must genuinely think you were capable of at least standing up against Todo, even if you could not win.
“Yuta,” you said when you rejoined him, “I can go again if you need me to. Noritoshi…I don’t know if I can beat him, but I’ll probably at least be able to get a few points or something.”
“I’m fine,” he said. He was shaking, though, and you knew you could forget about Noritoshi — even a strong gust of wind would be enough to take Yuta out at this point.
“The match between Yuta Okkotsu of Tokyo and Noritoshi Kamo of Kyoto will now —”
“Wait!” you shouted, cutting Iori off. Distinctly aware of everyone’s eyes on you, you raced onto the battlefield to where Yuta stood, eyes half-lidded.
“What is it?” he said with a yawn. “The sooner I can get this over with, the better.”
“You have to use Rika,” you said. This was enough to at least temporarily stun him to consciousness.
“You want me to use Rika against him?” he said.
“You’ll lose otherwise. It’s no joke to say that Tullia armed with just a frying pan would probably be a more fearsome opponent than you at the moment,” you said.
“I don’t trust her to not kill him,” he said.
“She won’t. I trust her to not kill him,” you said.
“It’s too risky,” he insisted.
“Is everything alright?” Iori said.
“Yes, just — just hold on a second!” you said, slipping your engagement ring off and taking Yuta’s hand. Aware of the implications but ignoring them, hoping people would understand soon enough, you put it on Yuta’s left ring finger, on top of the ring Rika had given him.
“What are you doing?” he said.
“Rika,” you said, speaking to the curse instead of him, “The person you’re about to fight is very important to me. He gave me that ring, the way you gave Yuta your ring, see? He’s a very good friend, and I care about him a lot. Please, you need to help Yuta, but don’t hurt Noritoshi too badly.”
The blue diamond on Yuta’s ring sparkled in the sun, and you knew it wasn’t truly a response but a trick of the light. Still, you smiled anyways.
“Thank you,” you said. “Do it, Yuta. Please.”
You left them before they could answer, bowing at the audience in apology and then taking your seat to watch the battle.
“If that’s all, then the match between Yuta Okkotsu of Tokyo and Noritoshi Kamo of Kyoto will now commence. May the best sorcerer win!” Iori said, sounding understandably confused.
Noritoshi was quick to begin shooting arrows, setting an elaborate trap that Yuta should’ve been able to get out of easily — but he didn’t. An arrow pierced his arm, and you bit your tongue at the blood seeping into the white of his shirt. He was clumsy with his sword, only able to cut away half of the arrows when he should’ve been able to get all of them. You glared at him.
As if he could feel your ire, he tilted his head towards you. You crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow. He was still questioning it, and though you knew he didn’t necessarily like your answer, he accepted it.
“Come,” he said, almost drearily, “Rika.”
The proclaimed queen of curses erupted behind him in a malevolent burst of cursed energy so overwhelming that it took you a moment to adjust to the newer atmosphere. Rika was as fearsome as ever; Noritoshi’s arrows bounced off of her as if they were plastic toys, and she picked him up by the shirt disdainfully.
Perhaps it was because you had been spending so much time with Yuta recently, but you found you could understand her strange cries now.
‘You…hurt Yuta?’
Yuta himself was facedown on the ground, taking a nap. It was a well-deserved one, and you shot a dark look at your father. He had been the one to refuse to heal Yuta yesterday, which meant it was basically his fault that he was like this. Your father had the manners to frown apologetically.
Raising Noritoshi into the air, Rika dropped him. He was free-falling, with no way to recover or save himself. It was too high, Rika was too tall, he’d die when he hit the ground.
“Rika!” you shouted. She turned to look at you curiously.
‘It’s you!’
You did not pause to think about what that meant. She followed your terrified gaze and then cocked her head, catching Noritoshi right before he smashed into the sand. Making her way over to you, she deposited him at your feet.
“Thank — thank you,” you said, lifting Noritoshi into your arms and holding him tightly, looking at Rika over his shoulder.
‘You wanted him to be safe. He…gave you a ring?’
“That’s right,” you said.
‘But Yuta wants you. Be with Yuta! Wear Yuta’s ring!’
She sounded like a whiny child throwing a tantrum; it only made you sad, though. She was a child, really, one trapped in the body of a curse.
“What is that infernal curse roaring about?” your father said. You ignored him, though it did confirm your theory that only those who were close with Yuta could understand Rika. Or maybe it was only those she wanted to be understood by; you weren’t sure.
“Maybe one day I will,” you said.
‘Yuta gets sad when he sees you with that thing. Stop making him sad! He has to stay happy!’
You could almost imagine her stomping her foot, and you reached one hand out and placed it on Rika’s forehead. She flinched back but did not shove you off.
“I’ll do my best, Rika. Let’s work together to that end, okay?” you said. She considered this before dissipating, returning to the ring she stayed in when she was not fully manifested. You took it as proof of her compliance.
“In the match between Yuta Okkotsu of Tokyo and Noritoshi Kamo of Kyoto, uh, Yuta Okkotsu is the winner?” Iori said. Her statement was punctuated by Yuta snoring.
“Heal him,” you said to your father, who was already running to do so.
“Goodness, Y/N,” Noritoshi said with a shudder, “No offense, but I really can’t wait until you’re gone. It’s been near-death experience after near-death experience for me; it’ll be nice to breathe for a bit.”
“I’m sorry,” you said, “And after you were so kind about everything, too!”
“Whatever,” he said, straightening and drawing away from you. “I shouldn’t have expected anything less from a special-grade sorcerer. Good luck against Todo. Just remember — he may be intelligent, but he’s also a buffoon. You have as much of a chance as anyone at beating him.”
“Thanks, Noritoshi. I’ll do my best, though I think Tokyo’s already won the event,” you said.
“Maybe, but do you really care if Tokyo wins?” he said.
“What do you mean?” you said.
“The format is individual battles for a reason. This is your chance to prove your worth. Not your school’s, not Yuta’s, not Rika’s. Yours, Y/N L/N’s. I think that I know you well enough to be confident in saying that giving up easily is out of your character. You would hate yourself if you went down without a fight,” he said.
“You’re right,” you said. “Yeah, thanks, Noritoshi.”
“Anytime,” he said. “Tell Yuta I said congratulations but will be saying ten feet away or more from him at all times, as I do value my life and limbs.”
“I’ll pass along the message,” you said with a chuckle.
Your father looked grave as he healed Yuta, who was still unconscious. To see him so ominous was out of character, and you almost felt afraid to ask what was wrong.
“That curse is like an inhibitor on his power,” he explained before you could even say anything. “He can’t tap into his true strength because it’s all been concentrated into her. She needs to be exorcised as soon as possible; not just because she’s a danger but because she’s severely limiting him. He has potential, but he’s too reliant on Rika at the moment. He’ll never become an independent sorcerer until she’s gone.”
“Can you heal him?” you said. “That’s all I care about.”
“I can. He has a lot of cursed energy — his reserves are nearly infinite, it’s just that tapping into them without Rika’s help is fatiguing for him. Once he’s free from her, some intensive training should fix the problem relatively quickly,” he said.
“That’s good to hear,” you said.
“He cares about you very much,” your father observed. “It reminds me of someone I knew.”
“We’re only friends,” you said, knowing you were a bold-faced liar.
“I know that,” your father said. “But ensure it remains that way.”
“Y/N?” Yuta said, “What happened?”
“Rika took care of Noritoshi for you,” you said, extending your hand and helping him stand. He was bright-eyed now, alert as he scanned the battlefield for any extensive damage.
“Seems like she behaved herself,” he said.
“She did almost kill Noritoshi, but I stopped her, so all’s well that ends well, right?” you said.
“I guess so,” he said, “As long as Noritoshi doesn’t have a grudge on me or anything for it.”
“He says congratulations, actually, although I don’t think he’ll be coming anywhere near you for a while,” you said. Yuta chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
“That’s probably deserved,” he said. You passed him a water bottle and watched to make sure he drank; he all but inhaled the entire thing in one gulp.
“It’s time for me to fight Todo,” you said.
“I wish I could give you more advice, but truthfully, he didn’t even get the chance to use his technique before I took him out,” Yuta said mournfully.
“The thought’s appreciated, but it’ll be alright. I’ll go down fighting,” you said, beaming at him and pretending to get into a combat stance. He raised his fist in acknowledgement.
“You’ll do amazing,” he said.
The crowds were eerily silent as you and Todo stepped onto the battlefield. They already knew who would win this fight, but you were determined to at least put on a show.
“The match between Y/N L/N of Tokyo and Aoi Todo of Kyoto will now commence. May the best sorcerer win!” Gojo said, and though the white bandages were wrapped around his eyes, he nodded slightly at you, and you knew he had confidence in you, too.
Todo was not one to wait; there was none of the dancing around like there had been with Momo and Mai. He charged at you, arm pulled back so that his punch had the maximum amount of power behind it. But this, at least, you were certain of: you were faster than Todo. Taking off, you decided you would not remain still, not letting him catch you until you absolutely had to.
“I see! No wonder you are my role model’s ideal woman, Y/N L/N!” Todo said, skidding to a stop when he was unable to catch you. You slowed only briefly, tossing needles over your shoulder and hoping they would stick.
“Stop calling him that!” you panted.
“It’s only the truth,” Todo said, wiping a tear away before flexing his arms, appearing almost out of nowhere to lunge at you. You ducked under his arm, aiming your needle at his sternum. You missed, though, and it stuck into his throat. He yanked it out and tossed it aside with a grin.
“Couldn’t have thrown me a bone?” you muttered, putting as much distance as you could between the two of you. When he caught up to you again, you did not make the same mistake as you had during the teamwork challenge, jabbing his side with a needle instead of kicking him and then running away before he could counterattack.
You knew it was, in the grand scheme of things, meaningless. His weak spots were well-guarded, and all you were really doing was bothering him, no more harmful than an ant.
And then he made the fatal mistake of using his arms to block a punch to his stomach, leaving his heart and jaw unguarded. Catching the slip instantly, you readied a needle and threw it, praying it would work.
Todo realized an instant before it hit him what was happening, but it was too late for him to dodge in any sort of significant way. Disbelief filled you — was this the end? It felt too easy.
He did not even attempt to duck out of the way, only raising his hands with a smirk and then clapping loudly. The world spun, and then your own needle flew over you. You looked around wildly, still reeling at the turn of events.
“It seems I will have to go all out,” he said. “I have underestimated my idol’s taste. You truly are the exemplary woman!”
“Thank you?” you said, but before you could move, he clapped again. As you struggled to regain your balance, he sucker punched you. You hit the ground with a thud but rolled out of the way of his next blow, scrambling to your feet and reaching for another needle.
He clapped. Once again, that dizzying feeling overtook your senses, and you were barely able to brace yourself for the kick he planted on your mid back. Catching yourself in a plank, you pushed back to a standing position, but it was futile. Every time you gathered yourself, he clapped and your surroundings changed. He’d attack in your moment of confusion, taking advantage of your disorientation to leave you bruised and bleeding from your nose.
You were not able to retaliate; in fact, you were barely able to stay upright, let alone actually take a proper stance before everything was ripped away and changed. You did not understand what was happening — you could hardly process any of it.
Curled in a ball, you protected your head as he kicked you again and again. Finally, his relentless attacks stopped.
“Just give up,” he said. “There’s no fun in fighting weak people, and do you really want to go unconscious?”
You stood and faced him, regarding him carefully. He was relaxed, knowing that even if you tried to attack him, he could just clap and derail the entire effort.
Did you give up, then? There was no way you could beat Todo, not when his cursed technique was so baffling, not when your every move was countered.
“Like I was saying, it’s true that if things come to blows, you’re probably not going to be much help. But sheer physical strength isn’t the only way to win a fight; you’re way more clever than you give yourself credit for, and honestly? You’re no slacker in the power department, either.”
Tullia. She had said that when you had been despairing over being selected for the exchange event; she was so sure that you could fight Todo. So many people were — Noritoshi, your father, Gojo, Maki, Yuta — but why? Why did they think you were so powerful? You were weak. You could not even use your Reverse Cursed Technique. You were no Yuta — you were only slightly above average.
“It’s so cool that you’re able to do that. I’ve tried, but I’ve never been able to. Even Toge, Panda, and Tullia can’t, not to the level that you can.”
Yuta had said that about your cursed signature detection. An idea struck you, and you took a deep breath. It was foolish, but what else did you have? They believed you were strong; maybe you were.
“What’ll it be?” Todo said. In one decisive move, you tore the bottom of your shirt off, tying the fabric around your eyes.
“No,” you said. “I’m not giving up. You haven’t beaten me yet.”
In the dark, you could focus on solely his cursed signature. Your other senses heightened to make up for your lack of sight, and you shoved aside the urge to peek through the makeshift blindfold.
You could not trust your vision at the moment, not when Todo could change your environment with a clap of his hands. But his cursed signature would stay the same no matter what; you would use that as your guide. The arena was flat enough that you did not need to worry about tripping over anything, so you were able to move freely without fear.
“Are you making fun of me?” Todo said. You could hear his footsteps and sense the massive amounts of cursed energy rapidly nearing you, so you readied your own needles and threw. He clapped again, and with your eyes closed, you realized he was not changing your environment: your cursed signature had essentially swapped places with his.
“Oh, so that’s how that works,” you said thoughtfully, bending backwards to avoid a punch and straightening before he could grab you.
If that was the case, then — you began to dash away from him, heading towards what you presumed to be the edge of the arena. As soon as he clapped, you turned on your heel, not even taking a second to switch directions, still running from him.
He kept clapping, but now that you knew how his technique worked and the stimulus of the environment was not distracting you, you did not need to pause in order to continue to evade his blows.
But both of you were tiring; you had to do something to end the fight, something unexpected, or else he’d get you when you were weary. Silently activating your technique, you discerned the white spots and then changed course once again — this time, straight towards him.
He did not clap, probably wondering what you were thinking. The wind shifted as he punched at you, but you did not attempt to dodge to the side like he must have anticipated. Instead, you placed both hands on his enormous fist, using it as a vaulting block and your momentum combined with his as a springboard. Twisting your body into a front handspring vault, you honed in on the nape of his neck, embedding the needle into the glowing white spot that called to it like a magnet before he had the time to clap.
You landed on your feet with your back to him, the force of the maneuver undoing your blindfold. It drifted into the sand, and then there was a great crash. The resulting breeze blew sand everywhere, your clothes and hair whipping around as you stayed frozen.
There was a strange silence. Finally, someone you thought to be Gojo cleared their throat.
“In the — in the match between Y/N L/N of Tokyo and Aoi Todo of Kyoto, Y/N L/N…Y/N L/N…” Iori trailed off incredulously.
“Y/N L/N is the winner!” Gojo screamed. You hardly believed it, turning to face Todo. Sure enough, he was face down and decidedly knocked out, drool pooling in the sand next to his face. Your jaw dropped as people began to holler and cheer and clap, your name echoed over and over like a chant.
You were tackled in a hug by none other than Yuta, and you were too filled with adrenaline to remember propriety, embracing him back ten times as hard.
“I did it!” you said, “I did it!”
“You did it!” he agreed.
“You fucking did it!” Gojo said, colliding with both of you and gathering you in his arms, which served to both reinforce his pride and also make the entire thing look like nothing more than a friendly celebration instead of something more. You silently thanked him, though whether or not he had done it consciously, you were not sure.
“Watch your language!” Iori shouted, but nobody paid attention to her. Gojo hoisted you onto his shoulders, parading around while Yuta clapped and followed.
“Make way for the champions!” he said. “An overwhelming victory for Tokyo, thanks to Y/N and Yuta! Take that, all of you who doubted me. It’s obvious my students are the best!”
“Yeah!” you said.
“Yeah!” Yuta echoed.
“Nice job!” Noritoshi said, cupping his hands around his mouth so that his voice carried. You saluted at him in cheeky acknowledgement.
“Good job, both of you!” Miwa said. Gojo put you back on the ground carefully and went to make fun of Iori, whose face was red with fury. As soon as your feet touched the floor, the breath was knocked out of you as someone picked you up and held you to their chest in a hug.
“You…you truly have the most perfect spirit of any woman I’ve ever met, Y/N!” Todo sobbed. “I am so grateful that we met!”
“Put my fiancée down, you oaf!” Noritoshi shouted from where he stood with his family.
“Until we meet again, then. I promise I’ll train until the day that I am your equal!” Todo said, setting you down solemnly.
“I only —” you began to put down your victory to luck before shaking your head. “Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, and I’ll train just as hard. We’ll keep each other on our toes.”
He shook your hand vigorously. “It’s a deal.”
“Y/N,” your mother said, and she was smiling so brightly that you could see how she had been a model once, “You did wonderful.”
“Thank you,” you said. She dug into her purse and handed you something: it was a pair of rings. They were not elaborately flashy, the way your engagement ring was; just two bands made of intricate golden filigree.
“I know why you gave that boy your engagement ring,” she said. “To control the curse, right? Your father and the others are praising you for thinking of a way to calm her down — after all, because Noritoshi’s ring was on Yuta’s finger, she recognized him as something familiar and did not want to kill him.”
“Right,” you said, pleased they had come up with an alternate explanation for your actions. She closed your fingers over the rings.
“Personally, privately, I had a different theory. You don't have to confirm it, but I think…I think that the reason she didn’t kill Noritoshi isn’t because he was familiar. The reason you gave Yuta that ring wasn’t to endear Noritoshi to Rika. It was to remind her, wasn’t it? That Noritoshi is someone you love?” she said.
“Why would I do that?” you said.
“I thought the same. Why would the curse care about who you love? Unless,” your mother’s eyes gleamed with wisdom, and you questioned how the higher ups ever thought her to be stupid, “Unless she believes that it would hurt you if someone you cared about was injured. Unless she believes that it would hurt Yuta if someone you cared about was injured.”
“I don’t know what you mean,” you said.
“Those rings belonged to my grandparents. I hoped that I might use them as wedding rings one day, but it seems that was not meant to be. Maybe you can find some use for them,” she said instead of responding to you.
“Maybe,” you said, carefully putting them into your pocket, “Thank you.”
“They would’ve wanted you to have them. Your father’s ancestors may not be proud of you, but I know that mine are,” she said.
It was the acceptance you had always craved. Maybe you could not heal, but you were strong. You could fight. For better or worse, you were your mother’s daughter — you always had been, but for the first time, such a thing did not seem like a prison sentence.

your top 3 of jjk men excluding choso, geto and kento :0
Ohhh I had to think about this for a little!!!
Shout out to Todo! He's a fun unique character! Sure he comes off brutish but hey...he means well 😭 He's crazy strong and smart but also dumb and funny at the same time and the man knows what he likes. He cuts the bullshit out for the most part lol, which I appreciate! He's really inspiring! He reminds me a lot of Yami from Black Clover!!! :)
Then I would say Toji! like it's admirable how he's so strong even without cursed energy sheesh. I know hes not a good guy exactly but i love him and yes he's on my f/o list but we won't talk about that I'm totally not bias rn... 😌
Then I'd say gojo! He's annoying as hell (yet silly & lovable) and it's just hard not to love him?? Most of the time I get lots of bff vibes from him & who doesnt love a strong protector too ^^
If you mean to fuck though?? Toji, Noritoshi, & Gojo :^)

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 - 𝐣𝐣𝐤 ʚ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎ɞ chapter thirty
chapter twenty nine | chapter thirty one
TODAY'S WALK TO MEGUMI'S
room felt lighter on your body, somehow. you couldn't distract yourself too much but, after a few years living here, you noticed how bright the colors were; from the tall and leafy trees surrounding the cemented pathway to the dorms, as wells as the little flowers at the very roots of them. everything seemed to be prettier than usual or maybe that's how your eyes percieved the world around you. maybe being in love made you see the world from a different perspective.
soon, you found yourself knocking on the 505 dorm room, followed by a serious megumi whose gaze described nothing but pure anger and hurt. a chill ran down your spine in alert, the cloud 9-like feeling dissipating into something colder. "can i come in, 'gumi?" your voice was soft and so low that it almost became a whisper in the end. megumi just stepped to the side without a word, leaving you just the tiniest of space to enter his room, brushing your body past his.
"there wasn't any spicy ramen so i bought you shoyu instead. i doubted the spicy ramen would've been good for you if you're sick anyway but- is everything okay?" his current state was what stopped your rambling: megumi still stood by the door, now closed, back against it and eyes so dark that even the deepest of oceans could not compare with it.
he suddenly pushed himself from the door, walking to sit on his desk, back against you. his thoughts were clouded with the image of you kissing sukuna, with what noritoshi had inquired a few moments ago. his mind couldn't comprehend it, why? why you and not any other girl in this forsaken college? why did he have to fall for you like this? why did it have to hurt this much seeing you in his dorm, with those beautiful eyes pleadingly looking at him? why did he have to care so much?
"you can sit down on my bed y/n" his voice sounded pained, strained. you didn't think twice before doing it, placing the hot bowl on top of his desk. megumi took the container out, looking at it with an ache inside his chest. his heart hurt more that he could phantom, the thought of you caring for him enough to do this; to do any of the things you've done during your whole friendship. it was stupid to keep hiding it.
"i need to ask you something y/n" you looked at him, who still wasn't looking at you. "i need to tell you something too 'gumi" megumi closed his eyes, like the mere mention of his nickname out of your lips hurt him more than a blade cutting through his pale skin.
you waited and waited, seconds and minutes until he deigned himself to look at your face, your hair and neck. he pictured what noritoshi told him, the purple marks on your skin, your tousled hair and bitten lips. megumi felt his heart breaking even more at that thought, because he wasn't the one that had left you like that, that had pleasured you enough, that had taken care of you like he wanted to.
"i met noritoshi today, you know?" megumi wore a sad smile, one that turned into a scowl so rapidly you thought it didn't even happen. "he seems like a cool guy but he has a big ass mouth that talks more than it should." his gaze met yours and somehow, only for the briefest moment, you realized what was about to come out of his mouth and nothing could've prepared you to answer it. "y/n, did you fuck gojo?"
your whole body tensed, every muscle restrained with shock. would you say the truth and loose the opportunity to confess? would you lie to him for megumi to find out later? your mind was running by a mile a minute, only noticing the hurt in his eyes, hurt that you caused.
you inhaled deeply before answering, soothing that weird feeling on the pit of your stomach, "yes i did, but i can explain! please let me explain!" megumi's scoff was what started to break your heart a little, then his disgusted face and the incredulous expression on it. "explain?! why would i want you to explain to me what you did with him?!" he stood from his chair, running both of his hands through his hair.
"i didn't want to believe it y/n, i truly didn't. when noritoshi told me about what he saw the other day and asked me if you two were involved i truly thought he was mental. but guess what i saw seconds later?" megumi paused, almost like he wanted you to guess it. "i saw you kissing sukuna on the back of the gym! gosh y/n, his brother was probably changing two feet away!"
suddenly your body felt too small in his room, his anger wasn't making sense to you. why did he have to be so mad anyway? you were old enough to do whatever you wanted and he was in no place to tell you what to do. "why do you care so much megumi?! i'm a big girl and i can do whatever i want with my body and my life! you're in no position to tell me who i fuck, who i kiss and who i hang out with!"
your body had moved on its own, standing up from his bed and coming closer to him. rage was boiling inside your veins, so hot and venomous that it clouded your vision. megumi scoffed again and threw his hands in the air, "isn't it obvious?! its because i love you y/n! i've loved you since the very first day i met you and this that you have done," he said pointing at you with his fingers accusingly, "this is breaking my heart and i cannot stop mourning for something that wasn't mine in the beginning!"
his eyes shut down entirely, his breath came out in labored pants but he no longer felt that overwhelming and heavy feeling on his shoulders. "i don't want to know what you did with gojo or sukuna but i do want to know if they were the only ones" you clenched and unclenched your fists on each one of your sides, "no, and before you explode again let me explain. before telling you anything, i want you to know that i love you too megumi. not like a friend, not anymore. but after i tell you everything you might think that i'm a slut, a whore, whatever you want to call me. it doesn't mean that i will not feel the same about you, but it can change what you feel about me"
megumi sat down on his chair again, slumped on it like just standing up was tiring enough. "i made a bet with more of my teachers, i will not include the main object of the bet but all i can tell is that it involved sex" megumi grimaced at the explanation. "all this time when i told you i was busy with school work i wasn't. i lied to you and yuuji and i'm sorry about that. i'm sorry about everything honestly."
megumi's face did nothing to express what battle he was fighting inside but you could almost see the gears moving. "when you say teachers, you mean everyone that teaches you in some way, right?" you nodded, too lost to even acknowledge what he was inquiring, "does it include my father y/n?" your eyes widened, something that megumi noticed. you could not stomach watching his expression falter, the way his own eyes widened too. "y/n did you have sex with my father?"
your eyes still didn't meet his, tears were forming on them and threatened to fall any minute now. "answer me, did you fuck my dad y/n?!" your silence, fidgeting and tears was all he needed for an answer. if his heart wasn't broken yet, if that little flame of hope didn't extinguish before, it did now. "get out." his tone was solemn and hard, it was not a debatable order. "what?" you asked, meeting his face. "i said get out. i don't want to see you anymore y/n. get out of my room and my life, i can't stand being with you right now"
more tears cascaded down your cheeks, wetting your face in the least appealing way. " 'gumi please let me explain. please hear me out and try to understand me, please" you were begging him right now, crumpling his shirt under your fist. megumi pulled your hand away without any trace of love and simply said, "get the fuck out and don't you ever call me 'gumi again"
and so you did. with a breaking heart and a broken soul, with fresh tears running down your face and a new found hatred for yourself.
you left the only person that had cared for you enough.

Fr bro I love your energy! Noritoshi is so pretty and so criminally underrated. Keep up the good work in making more of us lusting publicly for him. You've done amazing job! That boy well-deserved it :)
tysm!! I try to open the eyes of the public to his qualities. join my cult yall, Noritoshi is so good listen to me.
but on the topic of energy, whether you're high or low energy, Noritoshi loves it. the only difference is how he reacts to it.
Let's say you're low energy or prefer subtlety in your affection..
Noritoshi will initiate first! ..after a while... in his own way.... He needs to gather enough courage and collect his thoughts properly, then hes good to go! He prefers more subtle displays of affection too, but if needed he'll be blunt about it. He'll learn to adapt to slightly teasing remarks, going as far as to banter and tease back, moreover he's just very loving. So loving it can be embarrassing from time to time because of how intense the atmosphere can get.. the best way he can be described here is princely.
A small smile forms on Noritoshi's lips when he feels you're around. He turns to you, already memorizing each and every quirk you have so that he doesn't waste any time setting his sights on you again. His hands reach out to tug on your sleeve as he looks at you with a gaze so needy you can practically tell what he's about to ask. "May i hold your hand?" His voice comes so smooth that if you didn't know him, you would've missed the twinge of desperation it carried. You couldn't help yourself, you shook your head, a mischievous grin slowly creeping onto your lips at the sight of Noritoshi's pouted lip. Of course he'd do as you say even if it was clearly unfair, but not without some complaints. He clicks his tongue, a quiet mutter of "cheeky.." escapes under his breath. He knows you do this on purpose to mess with him, he was tempted to beg a little, but decided against it. it was an embarrassing thought to begin with. Seriously, how mean can someone be to make a guy think like this? ..Extremely, if the guy's pouting is cute enough! Noritoshi lifts his hand to his chin, thinking of the many ways he can try to get around this obstacle you cruelly placed in front of him. He leans in close, hovering next to you as he usually does when he thinks. He faces you as who knows what goes on in his head, his closed eyes not even giving you a hint as to what he could be thinking. "Ah, pardon me, I got lost in thought. I suppose i can keep my distance, so long as you keep looking at me with that charming gaze of yours." Ah, so he was just winding up for a pick up line. How lame, but.. get used to it. He's going to shadow behind you the entire day with more one liners like that unless you shut him up yourself. Wait.. was that his plan? The faint sly smirk tugging on the corner of Noritoshi's lips and the warm hue on the apple his of cheeks are all you need to figure out the rest.
If you're high energy or prefer more blunt methods of affection..
Noritoshi gets overwhelmed and flustered from such raw approaches from you that he comes off as a bit rude. It's only because you make his heart so full that he needs to shut you down or else he'll do something embarrassing!! He wants to impress you, of course he enjoys your advances very much, but it's not very slightly to see someone like him act like a crushing school girl!! or so he thinks.
Noritoshi yelps in surprise as you snake your hands around his waist from behind. He doesn't push you away or even move for that matter, he's frozen stiff. Is he still alive? Like any good lover would, you benevolently press your ear against his back to listen for a heart beat. ..You didn't hear anything until the sound of Noritoshi sharp inhale came through. That was unexpected, but it works. He squirmed a little, seemingly trying to shrug you off but quickly giving up, accepting the fact that you've got him trapped. "You imbecile, e-enough of this!" he scolded, though he made no actual effort to stop you. Noritoshi remains stiff for the most part, but looking at the back of his increasingly flushing neck reassures you that he is, indeed, alive. He's just being stubborn! Not turning or even a greeting, just rude name calling again! You raise one hand and place it over his heart to hold him tighter in your embrace. As expected, its practically pounding against his chest. He swats your hand away and finally turns back to you with those cute furrowed brows and rosy cheeks. "You're such a bully, you know that?" he huffs out, any semblance of sternness failing to take effect as his jutted bottom lip quivers. Mercifully, you finally let go and spare him by not pointing out the quiet whine he let out. He stumbles forward and turns around to face you fully, trying to keep an eye out for any more of your stunts while he catches his breath. He felt so dizzy from being in your arms, if he were held for a moment longer, he surely would've melted right then and there. Noritoshi's hands trembled as he smoothed out his clothes, his mouth opening and closing as any and all words died in his throat. He wanted to yell at you for being so forward, for giving him no chance to prepare, for letting go of him, for a lot of things..! Yet he just pouted as he tried to calm the flush on his face. His hands instantly whipped up in front of him when he noticed you took a step towards him. He can't handle another display of affection right now, he'll go weak at the knees! But how can you hold back when he's just so damn cute?
The most likely outcome is a mixture of both with a heavy leaning towards one. Either way, you're very right!! He's extremely pretty.

If it’s not too much, can you do relationship HCs with the jjk men? Thank you Mun!!!
of course!!! thank you so much for the request!!! <3 I actually had something for this in the works for a hot minute haha. sooooooo without further do, here is:
jjk men misc relationship hc's!
starring: Yuta Okkotsu; Toge Inumaki; Megumi Fushiguro; Yuji Itadori; Noritoshi Kamo; Satoru Gojo; Suguru Geto; Kento Nanami; Toji Fushiguro; Naoya Zenin (I was nice to him this time); Choso Kamo; Ryomen Sukuna
cw: none! these are all completely SFW (maybe a touch suggestive like 2-3 times?)
Yuta Okkotsu:
sweetest softest bf ever
he is so nervous and shy for the first month or so :(
he is so cuddly tho!!
he's a sensitive guy :((
absolutely loves any sort of physical affection because it lets him know that you're here with him <3
LOVES hand holding sm
not particularly against pda, but he's not over the top about it y'know?
but like quick hugs every now and then, forehead kisses, hand holding, those are all on the table tho
he's VERY in love and has no problems showing it <3
he doesn't get super jealous easily, but if he does, then he has no issue coming up behind you and holding you, he'll say shit like "Oh hey, baby!" just like lots of petnames to make it clear that you're his
not much good at cooking, but if he sees you cooking/baking something, he's always right there asking you how he can help
if something's hard for you to mix, no worries! he's happy to take over!
(also he will always insist on doing the dishes for you after helping you make something, no matter how much you try to protest, he refuses to hear it)
(especially if you let him taste test!!!)
if you're the type to make jams or jellies, you better believe that he's out in the garden helping you pick the ingredients (I made some dandelion jelly awhile ago, can you guess who I had in mind the whole time?)
Toge Inumaki:
alright say it with me y'all: A FUCKING MENACE!! (yes, even to you.. okay especially to you)
matter of fact, his favorite activity is fucking with you
I personally fully hc him as being able to play the guitar (stereotypical quiet kid thing, y'know?)
so I think that he'd absolutely learn love songs for you, even tho he can't sing the words to match the riffs :(
can't express his love for you through his words, so he relies heavily on physical affection and his actions
he has all of your likes/dislikes memorized, and you can bet that he always has some of your favorite snacks or drink in hand whenever he plans on seeing you
very observant with you
if you ever shiver once around him? he doesn't need his jacket anymore, you can wear it! (he will not let you give it back, even if he gets cold <3)
you probably have an entire drawer filled up with the little notes he gives you
they're either cute, or rude, or both
lots of "I love you, stupid" type stuff
anytime you leave for a mission without him he sends you with a whole ass letter about how much he loves you and how much he's gonna miss you :( <3
also this mf WILL steal your food
like straight from your hand
he's too cute to be mad at and he knows it 🙄
absolutely no problems with pda, he's maybe a bit shy with kissing in public cause he's a bit insecure about the markings by his mouth :((
that being said, he does get pretty insecure about that and his limited speech, so he does tend to get kinda jealous if someone's flirting with you
he'll just kinda come and straight up steal you away or just wrap himself around you
(lowkey if you try to make him jealous then uh.. you'll pay for it later, let's just say that)
oh but!! if you kiss the markings, he'll get very flustered and kinda turn to putty in your hands
also!!!!!!!!!! alsoooo!!!!!! this motherfucker will tickle you, and he shows NO mercy!!
(he is also very ticklish tho, but he is also very fast, so if you can catch him, be sure to get your revenge!!)
Megumi Fushiguro:
sweet boy :(
he shows his affection quietly (he gets too flustered when he tries to actually verbalize his love for you, but he does try!)
like he remembers you mentioned what your favorite book series was when you were growing up, so he buys them for you as a surprise!
he sees the way your eyes linger on something when you drag him to the mall, suddenly it shows up in a cute gift bag in front of your door with no note the next day, hmmmmm, how strange, wonder who that could be from? 🤔
I feel like he's the type of guy who'd take you on a date to--
WAIT NAH HANG ON--
SURPRISE H I M WITH A DATE TO WALK DOGS AT THE ANIMAL SHELTER
I think he would really love it :(((
on the topic, if you're ever sad or having a bad day, he'll summon his demon dogs to cuddle with you and cheer you up! (it always works!!)
loves loves loveees it when you play with his hair
he plays with yours too, tbh I think he'd try to learn how to do braids in your hair if it's long enough
be warned tho, dating Megumi means you're subjected to extra teasing from Gojo
(psst, if you really wanna rile Megumi up, join in on the teasing)
does NOT like pda, but he's fine holding hands, especially if the street is busy (he doesn't wanna lose you)
oh but!! if you like pinch his shirt/jacket while you're walking behind him, it'll melt his fucking heart :(
if you tell him that it's because it makes you feel safer???????
he might just combust on the spot
he might kiss you on the forehead every now and then in public, namely if you're mostly alone (or at least far from the eyes of your classmates)
he gets jealous sorta easily cause he's pretty insecure, so if there's a guy trying to flirt with you, he will come up and grab your hand, or wrap his arm around you, probably glaring at the guy tbh
he doesn't say it all that often, so just know that when Megumi tells you that he loves you, he really really loves you, and he means it from the bottom of his heart <3
Yuji Itadori:
SWEETEST!!!
GOLDEN RETRIEVER ENERGY TO THE MAX!!!!!!!
he literally is the sweetest himbo alive idc
that being said... Nobara was 100% right when she said he's no good with girls
when he was crushing on you, he fumbled over all of his words, often tripped over thin air, asked really stupid questions ("so you're a sorcerer, right?")
after being together for a bit he settles down though, he gets back to being his regular levels of dumb <3
he loves seeing you in his clothes too much, so he's always offering you his hoodies and shirts!
movie dates!!!!!!
also he loves to cook for you!! he loves it sm!!
cooking with you is even better!! :))
maybe sorta kinda really likes to show off how strong he is whenever you're around
like he'll pick you up and carry you around every single chance he gets
it doesn't matter what size you are, he can and will lift you like you weigh nothing (if you let him, of course!)
LOVES pda!!! doesn't care who's around, he'll give you kisses alllll over your face, hold your hands, hug you, etc!
if he does get jealous (very rare thing) he'll just kinda walk up and wrap his arms around you and rest his head on your shoulders, honestly he'd probably try and chat with the guy while making it very known that you're taken
he looovvveeesssssssss you tho!! says it very often!
he's scared that Sukuna will scare you off, but you don't actually mind him too much anymore
if you like talk back to Sukuna whenever the mf says shit to you (to Yuji's dismay) and like you give him sass? give the king of curses attitude?
ngl I think that would win Sukuna over, I think he'd be arlight with you if you do that, it'd interest him
Yuji cannot decide if that's better or worse
I wrote a whole thing about this that isn't finished yet, but I fully believe that if you're ever craving something, no matter what time it is, Yuji would immediately go get it for you, even if it's the middle of the night and he's just woken up
overall just 1000/10 goofy sweet himbo king, bestest boyfriend, lovestruck puppy dog <3
Noritoshi Kamo:
VERY sweet as a boyfriend!
he's very shy and reserved at first when he realizes that he likes you
SO fucking formal when he confesses to you, it's almost funny (pls don't laugh tho, it took so much convincing himself to actually do this)
tbh I think he'd try to hide you from his clan for awhile because he doesn't want you to have to deal with THAT
he sure as hell doesn't wanna deal with it, so he doesn't wanna subject you to it either if he can help it
if you treat him like a person, like just some guy, I think he'd really like that a lot :(
like he's tired of having to be the heir to the clan, he doesn't want to have all of that responsibility all of the time, he wants to just be himself :(
so pls just treat him like he's Just Some Guy(TM)
I think he'd actually maybe let himself be kinda silly once he gets out of his own head, in his little safe space with you
his genuine laugh is so so so cute, you're the first person to hear it in such a really long time :')
does NOT do pda, not even hand holding, can't take the risk
in private tho?
ohhhh my god he is SO clingy!!
SO fucking clingy, he wants to be around you 24/7, wants you in his arms always
loves to kiss you, cuddle you, hold your hand, all of it
he's just... so touchstarved, so if it's in private then he literally wants to be touching you every single second <3
it took awhile, but he'll hold your hand in front of your classmates (not teachers, just classmates)
if you're all hanging out in the lounge or something then maybe he'll even put his arm around your shoulders on the couch or somethin <3
he DOES get jealous, but even still, the most he'd do is like talk to you and tell you that he needs something, just to steal you away from whoever it is
now...... you didn't hear this from me...............
he is extremely ticklish
might get kinda grumpy if you do tickle him tho (cuddles will make it better <3)
he's a guy who needs a lot of reassurance, but rest assured, this means that he's very open about communicating how he feels about you and how much he cares about and loves you
Satoru Gojo:
you will never know peace ever again! (joking!! .....mostly)
you're treated like royalty, first of all
he's got more money than he knows what to do with, so his favorite thing ever is to spoil you!
you are also his favorite person to (lovingly) annoy <3
a fucking BASTARD who will PUT YOUR THINGS ON REALLY HIGH SHELVES BC HE KNOWS YOU CAN'T REACH AND WILL HAVE TO ASK FOR HIS HELP >:(
he's clingy as FUCK tho
doesn't care if it's in public or not, he has to be by your side at all times or he will die!! (jk but ya know, he's drama incarnate)
he has to make it known to everyone that you are his
he's got a very hot s/o and he's not afraid to show it :)
you ALWAYS have flowers, there's fresh ones every week (your favorite ones, or just ones that he sees that reminds him of you)
dating Satoru means that you get to see a side of him that nobody else gets to
you get to see the vulnerable side of him, the side that he hates
it takes a LONG time for him to open up to you about stuff, but once he does, he struggles to keep anything inside
ngl..... he has some MAJOR trust/abandonment issues after losing Geto, so he does need a good deal of reassurance once he does finally open up to you
also please for the love of god make sure he doesn't give himself diabetes with how much sugar he eats
he has the DUMBEST pet names for you tho
they range from stuff like "mochi; sweets; baby" to shit he knows you hate like "sugar bear; honey pie; sweetiepie" etc
surprising to absolutely no one, Mr. "Infinity is ALWAYS on" is EXTREMELY touchstarved
like the first few times he lets you really touch him, he shivers
ngl he might get kinda overwhelmed with it at first but before too long???
he's the type of guy to take the day off from work just to stay in bed cuddling with you all day cause omg he did not realize how much he loves feeling your skin on his :(
if he can't sleep in the same bed as you, then he simply does not sleep
he literally cannot sleep without touching you in some way
it's a problem
does he get jealous?? DOES HE GET JEALOUS???
ha! n-no..! obviously not, psshhhh, he's the strongest! why would he get jealous?!
nah but seriously he does get kinda jealous because of the abandonment issues, but he's mostly just possessive as fuck
someone's flirting with you? coooooool, let's see how long they keep it up after he comes up and makes it known that you're his
he really does love you tho <3
extravagant dates!!!!! anything you wanna do, consider it done, he'd do anything for you <3
Suguru Geto:
we're gonna go ahead and pretend that he didn't go a lilll crazy and become a cult leader for this one :)
oh, this mad absolutely adores you, and you'll never have to question it <3
personally I just think that Suguru would be into plants?? like he's really educated about them
so he gets you flowers, but he knows the meanings behind the flowers, so he gets you like 9 red roses (9 roses = eternal love); honeysuckles (devotion + everlasting love); tulips (unconditional love); etc
he also gifts you misc houseplants, like he'll take a cutting from one of his own and gift it to you in a little pot that he painted himself once it takes root <3
he's also super artsy!! he's drawn you a couple times!! he'll also doodle on your skin if you let him <3
this man is SUCH a sap and I will STAND BY THAT
smooth as fuckkkk, he always has some poetic line to woo you with
he LOVES to do your hair!
he'll like actually help you find a haircare routine that works well for your specific hair type
gives you his old band tee's from his (emo days) teenage years if they'd fit you
he loves!!!!! to snuggle!!!!!!!!!!!!! :((
he doesn't really get jealous, this man is very confident in himself and he trusts you completely, but he is vaguely possessive but in a really cocky way???
like either he'll come up and be all lovey with you while trying to talk to the guy (but he's got this "they're mine, bet you wish you were me, huh?" type look in his eyes)
or, he'll just kinda give you this pointed look, one eyebrow slightly raised, and you just immediately understand that you've gotta go over to him now or you will pay for it later
pretty intimidating tbh, if anyone happens to see you with his arm around you, they're stayin' away
totally open to pda!! he honestly really enjoys it
alwayysssss wants to at LEAST be holding your hand in public
if you're someplace that's crowded then he keeps his arm around you the whole time
he may be a cunning, calculating, smug bastard of a man, but he is yours, and he loves you a whole lot <3
Kento Nanami:
absolutely whipped
this man will always treat you like you're royalty, like he LIVES to make you happy <3
he does his best never to work overtime, he just always wants to get home to you asap!
that being said, he WILL take on a few extra shifts around special holidays or your birthday/anniversary just so that he can afford to get you something really nice and bring you out to a really nice restaurant :)
even if you tell him it's not necessary, he'll still do it, unless you tell him that you'd prefer more time with him than a gift, then he's happy to oblige (he will in fact still get you something and take you somewhere for dinner tho)
surprises you with flowers on his way home from work at least a couple times a month
COOKING DATES!!!!!!!!!
now I'm gonna throw in an unpopular opinion here.....
I..... do not think Nanami is a good cook
he is busy literally all the time, man loves good food, but he's never spent much time actually learning how to make it for himself
he loves trying tho!! so if you cook WITH him, he will fucking MELT
even if the food doesn't turn out quite right, it's safe to say that you both have a really great time regardless :))
you bring out a sillier side of him!! especially when baking, if you like smidge some flour or frosting on his nose, he WILL retaliate until you're both covered in a confectionary mess <3
usually he's very sleepy when he gets off work, so he really really really loves to cuddle :(
he just wants to lay with his head on your chest and let you play with his hair until he falls asleep <3
not HUGE on pda, but he will hold your hand everywhere you go if you want to, and he's not opposed to occasionally giving you a kiss on the cheek or forehead <3
if you're somewhere busy he'll keep his arm around you, he wants to keep you safe!!
he's..... hm..... I don't see Nanami as a jealous man. he's confident in himself, he trusts you completely, and he isn't one for making a show if someone's flirting with you really
if you get uncomfortable tho, then he will absolutely step in and put an end to it
now.. if you're TRYING to make him jealous, maybe giggling too much at what the guy says, thennnnn he's stepping in (and you'll be paying for it later babe, lemme fuckin' tell ya)
Toji Fushiguro:
ahh, my favorite bastard man <3
now, canonically, Toji is actually a very sweet, devoted man when he's with someone that he really loves
and he does really love you!!
hear me out, this man exudes Cane Corso energy
looks mean, big, buff, dangerous to fuck with, and incredibly protective and affectionate to His Person (you, you are his person)
he doesn't have much to spend on fancy gifts, he can't afford flowers every other week, but he does his best
he's never one to care about rules, so he's absolutely the kind of guy to go like... steal flowers from displays, or from planters outside of businesses, and he'll give you a bouquet of those <3
"My baby wanted flowers, you're gettin' some fuckin' flowers"
he'd also actually try to save up his money to afford to give you nice things every now and then <3
he's not great at it, but he does like cooking with you
PERFECT man to have around if you're having trouble mixing something, he's happy to help!
he tolerates a LOT with you
seriously, who would ever believe that the big bad sorcerer killer himself doing a fucking face mask with his s/o because you asked him to?
KISS! HIS! SCARS!!!! HE! WILL! MELT!!!!!!!
he remembers exactly how you like your coffee/tea in the morning, and if he wakes up before you then he'll surprise you by bringing you a cup in bed <3
protective as FUCK
he's indifferent to pda, if you wanna be all over him in public, he's happy to let you and he'll gladly reciprocate it all
he won't often initiate it other than holding your hand tho
double whammy: jealous AND possessive
he trusts you, he does... but he's had a rough life, he kinda expects you to just up and leave at some point :(
if someone's flirting with you, he's VERY quick to wrap his arm around you, steal your breath away with a kiss, etc
he'll hit you with a "Hey there, doll" while giving the dude flirting with you the cockiest smirk
let's be fuckin real here, Toji is ridiculously intimidating, absolutely nobody is gonna make a move on you with him around
if someone tries to start shit with you, this man will not hesitate to start (and win) a fight
overall he really does try his best to be a great boyfriend to you, but he's been through SO MUCH so pls be patient with him while he learns how to love again :(
Naoya Zenin:
for the sake of things we're gonna ignore the misogyny
he's sweet on you and you alone
pampers you SO much!!
you need something? he's on it, he'll send someone to get it for you asap
he really actually likes cuddling, but he will never admit to it
if you ask him to cuddle tho then I hope you're comfy, cause you ain't getting up til he decides he's had his fill of affection
now... would y'all believe me if I say that he really actually likes to be the little spoon in bed?
he's tired of having responsibilities, pls just hold him and play with his hair and tell him that you're proud of him :(
he is WHIPPED and he HATES IT
you like a certain scent?
surpriseeee, you now have an arsenal of candles/lotions/bath stuff in that scent
he's secretly a sleepyhead, wants to nap with you all the time
takes you on really fun dates actually!!!!
I feel like video game dates, or arcade dates, would be a big thing with him <3
you bring out a kinda goofy side in him, letting him act like the kid he never let himself be <3
this man has NO IDEA how to even cook an egg, but if you ask him to help you in the kitchen, he will
(after asking you why you want to cook in the first place, you have people for this you know-)
LOVES to kiss you!!
anywhere, anytime, if he wants to smooch you then you shall be smooched!!
ngl he is jealous cause try as he might, he is pretty insecure because his family is just SO struct, especially with him, so he just kinda never fully believes that he's good enough, like his confidence is majorly forced
so if someone's making him jealous, he has no shame about walking over and kissing you right then and there
not a lil peck either, he will kiss you with intent to send a message to this mf
he really does try to be good to you, he's trying very hard to unlearn his misogynistic ways for you <3
Choso Kamo:
GOODEST GOOD BOY
absolute sweetheart, confused as fuck by a lot of modern shit but GOD he loves you :)
treats you like a fucking deity, this man worships the ground that you walk on!!
he's also a very very sensitive guy and gets moved by stuff pretty easily
ngl he's probably the type of guy to ask you why you're crying, and after you tell him (even if it's something small/silly) he'll hold you AND ALSO START CRYING CAUSE YOU'RE CRYING
let's you do makeup on him and paint his nails!!! (I mighttt be pushing my E-Boy Choso agenda here lmao)
he doesn't understand your fascination with his hair, but he practically purrs every time that you play with it
any type of affection you give him, he will reciprocate
like he LOVES affection sm
idk I have this very strong image of reader putting little flowers in his hair
Choso would be SOOO confused, but he will smile the whole time, and will do the same to your hair :)
baby boy is clingyyyyyyyy <3
ADORESSS affection, giving and receiving it, so he always always always wants to be holding you or kissing you or anything!!! just loves you!!!!!!
has no concept of being ashamed by pda, if anything you'd have to be the one stopping HIM cause he really does not see a problem with it??
very much a lovesick puppy dog
he'd definitely take mental notes of things that you do/don't like
alwayyyssss tries to surprise you with the stuff that he knows you do like!!
I can't see Choso as being the jealous type
I think if he saw you talking to a guy he didn't kow, he'd just get kinda concerned for your safety and come up and kiss you or wrap his arms around you y'know?
he's just really really protective over you <3
if it's something that he does know then he just kinda.. keeps an eye on things (especially if the person happens to be Gojo's slutty ass-)
overall he is 1000/10
he is trying his BEST and he is SO VERY DEVOTED TO YOU!!! <3
Ryomen Sukuna:
hear me out here, yeah?
if he loves you, he LOVES you
even if he has no fucking concept of how to show it
like he's still gonna be a bastard to you, gonna tease you, give you a hard time for most things
but as the king of curses, he of course treats you as his queen <3
he really really really likes to kiss your hand :(
idk why I think this, but I can just see him like coming up and grabbing your hand and kissing your knuckles, the back of your hand, just kinda kissing his way up your arm real slowly and sensually
makes eye contact while he does it, and there'd just be so much fondness behind his eyes, a degree of soft vulnerability that only you get to see :((
he's not really much for kissing your lips unless it's leading to uh... ya know
cheek kisses are much too soft, forehead kisses are alright, but his favorite way to just causally kiss you is to kiss your hands <3
he will almost never initiate cuddles, but if you do, he will never ever turn you down
he loves it when you sit on his lap while he's on his throne, he'll let you kiss him all over his face when you do
tbh he likes showing off to his followers that he has such a stunning s/o, he wants them to be jealous <3
(does that make you his trophy s/o?)
this man will MELT if you play with his hair!!!
he really likes listening to your heartbeat, it makes him feel so peaceful :(
he'll tolerate any pda you initiate, he has no reason to care what anyone thinks
after all, who the hell is gonna say anything to him? he'll kill anyone who dares make a comment
is he jealous? no, not at all
is he possessive? abso-fucking-lutely, possessive as FUCK
you are HIS, no other man has the right to so much as flirt with you
if he catches another man even looking at you wrong? he's tightening his grip on you and glaring at the poor soul
(that man is lucky Sukuna was in a good mood)
needless to say, you are the safest person alive, his man ain't ever letting ANYONE or anyTHING harm a single hair on your pretty lil head <3
there is not a single god in existence that could help the mf who tries

𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛!
𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓 WARNINGS & 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎! ⤿ pairings; multifandom x black!fem!reader!
includes ; headcanon scenarios of men across several fandoms including naruto, jujutsu kaisen, attack on titan, bleach, & tokyo revengers. all characters aged up 21+ where applicable. tobi/obito are two different people here as well as sukuna/yuuji. explicit & suggestive content and language, night club setting, mentions of alcohol, fluff if you squint really hard. MINORS DO NOT INTERACT!
notes! — another one of my impulsive ideas that i got while listening to music LOL i hope you guys enjoy this a lil fun idea to write! i apologize if these aren’t accurate or ooc! i tried my best ://
it was friday night, and after a long and stressful week, you found yourself slipping on your favorite ‘going out dress’ and heels to match, and were on your way to that popular nightclub that you’d always drive by on the way to work, but never got to visit yourself due to your busy schedule. you sat in the car jamming to music with your best friends , and your boyfriend texted you and said he’d meet you there, very eager to see you and what dress you decided to wear. after your arrival, the night seemed to speed by and you already felt yourself loosening up and having a blast. then, through the loud speakers, the song “work” by rihanna started to play, instantly getting you hype:
sneaks up behind you without you noticing and begins to match their hip movements with yours. you’re lowkey surprised at how good of a dancer they are and keeping the rhythm. their larger hands return home on your hips, gently rubbing them up and down your skin, from your waist to your thighs. they’re fully enjoying how flustered you get, how your body shudders when they whisper the lyrics in your ear, while simultaneously placing soft kisses on your neck and collarbone. heat pools at your core at the intimacy and passion of your motions.
itachi, kakashi, neji, sai, asuma, shisui, genma, izumo, shikaku, jiraiya, deidara, hashirama, minato, ashura, gojo, yuuji, getou, choso, higuruma, megumi, yuuta, inumaki, todo, eren, erwin, armin, jean, reiner, onyakopon, zeke, miche, nile, renji, shinji, ukitake, kisuke, chad, shunsui, kugo ginjo, gin, shuhei, tosen, mikey, naoto, draken, chifuyu, mitsuya, souya, hakkai, wakasa, shinichiro, izana, kakucho, benkei, kokonoi, atsushi (akkun)
kinda( slow and ) sensual grinding—like very sensual. his hands are roaming every inch of your body and you gasp when you feel his quickly hardening erection on your ass/tailbone. matter fact, the man damn near bends you over on the dance floor and dry humps you right there in front of everyone. you look back to see his tongue sticking out his mouth and his eyebrows furrowed in concentration. you grew hot with embarrassment by his brazen and explicit actions, but also increasingly impatient to leave the club so he can solve the problem he created by fucking you dumb.
genma, kotetsu, shisui, kankuro, suigetsu, jiraiya, hidan, deidara, kiba, yuuji, gojo, getou, sukuna, todo, eren, jean, connie, zeke, erwin, renji, grimmjow, ikkaku, shinji, shunsui, kugo ginjo, mikey, chifuyu, wakasa, baji, nahoya (smiley), hanma, ran, sanzu, yamagishi
they were much too shy or apprehensive about going to dance with you, so they settled to hang at the bar with some friends, or by himself, ordering drink after cocktail, in hopes it’ll loosen him up a bit; he takes joy in observing you from afar. he stared at you with what looked like hearts in his eyes, completely mesmerized by your curves, loving how much you were enjoying yourself. he couldn’t tear his eyes away from the way you gyrated to the beat, in your own little world which he desperately wanted to join. if it wasn’t for you glancing at him suggestively or his friends encouraging him to go over there, he would have never gotten up.
omoi, naruto , gaara, iruka-sensei, yamato, sai, rock lee, tobi, megumi, choso, kusakabe, yuuta, muta, ichiji, noritoshi kamo, armin, connie, reiner, bertholdt, miche, nile, niccolo, ichigo, kisuke, chad, uryū, hitsugaya, ulquiorra, shuhei, coyote starrk, takemichi, naoto, chifuyu, souya (angry), kazutora, hakkai, shinichiro, izana, kakucho, inui, takuya, yamagishi, peh-yan
..…you’re not even to on the dance floor. whether it would have been with your friends or by yourself, this man is not having it and he’d prefer if you stayed by his side. he’s not really the ‘dance floor’ type, so instead he has his own little section to smoke, drink and talk with his close friends. and that’s where you’ll be too—sitting your pretty self on his lap and watching everyone else have a great time. you were upset at first, but with the way he would mindlessly trace his rough palms on your thighs, waist and tummy, you were quickly convinced this was way better than sweating out your edges and makeup. still, you couldn’t help but whine your hips on the man’s crotch, the bass and lyrics so hypnotic and controlled your mind and every movement you made. feeling him get hard almost immediately, you bit your lip to contain your excitement and arousal and continued to tease him. the man underneath you held a lopsided smirk as he watched you grind on his clothed cock.
shino, shikaku, shikamaru, obito, pain, kakuzu, sasuke, madara, tobirama, indra, sasori, getou, nanami, toji, sukuna, naoya, muta, levi, bertholdt, floch, zeke, byakuya, chad, grimmjow, gin, aizen, hitsugaya, tosen, kenpachi, ulquiorra, kugo ginjo, kensei, draken, hanma, kisaki, rindou, takeomi, sanzu, benkei, taiju, kokonoi, inui
a/n! — i put some people in more than one place because i felt like depending on circumstances and their personality (or time period), more than one description fits certain people. i hope you all enjoyed, pls reblog and like!! it is greatly appreciated <33

the archer and the prey
- Noritoshi Kamo x Reader
- SFW
a/n: hiiiiii anon!!! first of all thank you so much for your words 🥺🥺 I'm so happy you like my works!!! so here it's your request! I hope you can see it, even tho is been a long time! I know I have another one from you, so I decided to do that one NSFW 😏 and leave this one SFW. I hope you like it!!!
Love,
Willow ☀️
(Requests are currently closed, but I'll let you know as soon as they open ☀️)
You take a closer look at the arrow in your hand.
'You would rather stab yourself in the eye with it than asking Noritoshi how was everything in Tokyo'
So instead you say "I hope you're not too rusty. Or did going to Tokyo make you suck even more?"
Silence is your answer.
You peak at Noritoshi from behind your hair. He's busy staring at the ground, brows furrowed and hands tightly wrapped over his lap.
'What on earth?'
"Hey" you try again, pursing your lips "Are you listening to me? Or are you deaf?"
At that he clears his throat, standing a bit straighter, but still not looking at you "I can hear you perfectly well, thank you"
"Oh really?"
"You have the irritating voice of a banshee…" he starts, only to stop himself short and whisper something under his breath.
You arche one eyebrow, standing up "Huh? What was that?"
"I meant that yes" he finally says, after an awkward pause of fidgeting quietly with this sleeves "I can hear you perfectly well"
"Oh" you look around, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable. It's not your fault not knowing how to react to a calmer, not insulting you all the time Noritoshi. "Well then? Are we going to practice or what?"
"Yes, let's practice"
But it's imposible to concentrate like this, in total silence. That's not how you're used to practice your archery. Where's the yelling? Where's the sarcasm, and the thin veiled comptent? You miss the target and click your tongue, looking at Noritoshi out of the corner of your eye, and preparing yourself for some scolding.
"Try again" it's the only thing he says instead.
'Seriously, what's happening?'
You've known Noritoshi since the two of you were nothing but toddlers. As the sole heir to a minor subject clan to the Kamo family, you were practically forced by your parents to be friends with Noritoshi. A stuck up, always serious little kid who's first words to you were:
"If you're not going to be useful, then don't bother me, please"
Yes, fun times.
Since then, your relationship had pretty much consisted in trading insults and mocking each other, usually during archery practice. It was an unspoken tradition between the two of you: go to the practice field every day at dawn, stay there for around three hours practicing your aim and honeying your ability to withstand barbed coments if you missed, and then calling it a day, not before discretely —and of course, trying to not making it sound as if you cared— giving each other some piece of advice.
You miss again, and the arrow ends up falling directly to the ground, a couple of feet away from the target. You huff, cheeks burning. A shot like that is embarrassing, especially for someone that is supposed to have mastered the bow by now, and so you turn and wait for Noritoshi to tell you exactly that.
"Let's call it a day" he says instead, without even looking at you.
"You must be joking" you half yell, and he stops in his tracks and turns slowly towards you, clearly surprised at the tone in your voice "That's all you have to say to me?"
"Pardon?"
"Oh don't pardon me!" you say, throwing your bow to the ground and marching straight towards him. He watches you closely, and doesn't says anything as you jammer a finger to his chest "You know that was the worst shot ever! It was embarrassing! It was lame!"
Noritoshi's left eye trembles "I suppose it was bad, yes"
"You suppose?" you ask, eyes widening "You were paying attention, right?"
"Yes I was"
"Then?" you yell again, and then take a deep, angry breath before opening your eyes and crossing your arms in defiance "Tell me it was embarrassing"
"What?"
You insist again, stomping your foot like a little toddler "Tell me it was embarrassing. I want to hear it"
"I won't say anything of the sort"
"Why? What's wrong with you?" Noritoshi watches you complain, and you're too busy getting all worked up to notice the amusement dancing on his features "Tell me I suck!"
"This is ridiculous" he tells you, trying to take a step back from you, but you caught him by the hand before he can move, shaking your head wildly.
"No it's not! You've been acting like this since you came from Tokyo!" you continue, your hand firmly holding his wrist "All... distant and like you don't really care! It's not like you've ever been particularly warm but...but..." Noritoshi calls your name, softly, but you shake your head again, lowering your eyes to the floor "Did Tokyo...?"
"Tokyo what?" he asks, and you bite your lips and let go of his wrist, taking a couple of steps back yourself.
"Did Tokyo make you realize that you suddenly don't really care enough to practice with me?"
"That's not..."
You laugh, interrupting him and making him sigh in annoyance "You've always had a stick up your ass but I guess this is it, huh?" then you roll your eyes, and try to laugh even more to hide the sudden wave of pain that rises from your throat "The mighty heir to the head of the Kamo Clan has finally had enough of some low...!"
"Can you please shut your mouth?" Noritoshi hisses at you, being the one to grab you by the arm this time, and slightly shaking you around "You're as insufferable as ever, I see. And I was hoping for this to be easy"
You gape at him, and then look behind him to find a servant girl, quietly peaking at you both from around the corner. She must have heard the yelling. Noritoshi turns around and follows your gaze, before giving a curt nod to the girl.
"Leave us be. Everything's fine" he orders her, turning back to you.
"Are you sure my lord?" the girl still asks, confused eyes traveling from the back of Noritoshi's head, to his grip on your arm.
"I said leave!" he says again, louder this time, and it's enough to make the girl run away scared.
Then he's dragging you across the practice field and into the corner where you stack the bows and the quivers, and where no prying eyes can see him push you against the wall and cage you between his arms.
"What are you doing?" you ask, suddenly regretting asking him to be mean to you. This is maybe too much. "Let me go right now"
"Stop talking and let me speak" he says, and keeps talking over you as soon as you start interrupting him "You're insufferable"
"You told me that already you ..." you try, but one of Noritoshi's hands quickly covers your mouth, muffling your words. You're so surprised, that you stop talking all together, watching him wide eyed.
"You've always thought that you know everything when you don't, you think that you're the best in archery when you're not, and you have the strangest ability to make my blood boil as no one else"
You almost want to sigh in relief. This is the Noritoshi Kamo you remember from before he went to Tokyo. Your... (friend?) since you were kids. But then he takes a deep breath, and pushes his forehead against yours, and you're in complete shock again.
"And yet ...going to Tokyo made me realize...made me realize that my mother is not the only one I've been striving to keep safe all this time" he adds, and the warm of his hand and his forehead against yours are starting to make your heart beat faster than ever before "I- ... I appreciate you"
He moves away before you can start trashing, looking at you with an unreadable expression in his eyes.
"Is this a joke?"
"You don't care about me?" he asks, and you huff and laugh, looking at him like a mad woman.
"What is happening? What is this? This isn't you!"
"Going to Tokyo helped me put my priorities in order" he explains, as if it's obvious "Now I see everything more clearly"
"And you suddenly what? Like me?"
Noritoshi chuckles "I think is time for us to leave"
"Wait!" you call to his back, when he starts to walk away from you "Answer me!"
"If what you want me to tell you is that you're getting sloppy, then yes, you are" he says without stoping "That was embarrassing indeed"
You huff, annoyed, and run to stop him, pulling him back by the hand. That's when in a flash he turns, and you can't do anything but stay in place as he leans down and gently caresses your forehead with his lips.
"Noritoshi..."
"I'll see you later" he whispers against your skin, and quickly disappears around the corner.
You sputter, head about to explode, and probably stay longer than usual around, trying to calm yourself.
Noritoshi leans against the wall, a hand covering his mouth and trying to control his breathing, and the rapid beating of his heart. Eyes wide and a furious blush covering his cheeks and down his neck, he tries in vain to reign on his emotions. Maybe trying to establish a more amicably relationship with you that can one day lead to something else, is not the way. Maybe he just needs to keep treating you the same way as always.
Then he remembers Itadori's words, and the feel of your skin against his, and the thought of how your lips could feel against his,— and he groans, and punches the wall behind him.
The same servant from before jumps and squeals in fear, and he looks to his right to find her staring at him in terror.
"What?" he barks, straightening his back and fixing his clothes "There's nothing to see here"
When he walks away, trying to regain his composure, the servant girl gulps.
"No one is going to believe me when I tell them"

he may come from one of the big families and doesn’t let anyone forget it but there have been several occasions that he has been underestimated and assumed to only use his privilege as a power front
despite that he can get in a little over his head with his ego, he is very much the real deal and heir to the kamo clan
he doesn’t want to hurt or threaten anyone but he will not hesitate if he feels it’s necessary
luckily, there are people who know not to mess with him or you so he doesn’t have to do anything too often
he also knows that you’re perfectly capable of holding your own and can defend yourself which is one aspect that he likes about you, reminding him of his mother’s strength and bravery
but he likes the feeling he gets when he protects you
it makes him feel like he has more of his family to keep safe except you’re the one he absolutely cannot lose
he will never forget the first time you met todo and how that interaction almost sent him into a rage
“wow kamo, you better keep them close, they’re just my type!”
unfortunately, todo is not one of those people who’re too scared of him to say anything but luckily noritoshi would be happy to fight this himbo any day
however, you had your own opportunity to take him down without fighting by telling todo that he’s not your type at all
all noritoshi can do is laugh as todo’s face completely falls, leaving him to look like a dummy
you surprised him as well by turning back to him and leaning in to kiss him on the cheek, telling him that he is the only one you want to be with
“that’s what i like to hear, my liege.”
maki
she’d probably try to hide it at first
but you know all her tells of when she’s feeling a certain way
you don’t actively seek out situations that could bring out that side of her but it is rather amusing to see how she reacts to certain situations
like the one time she thought that megumi was trying to get with you by offering to help with your cursed technique
she would get extra facetious whenever she knew you had just been with him like, “so how was your ‘training session?’”
and you’d immediately become aware of her tone, answering her question but reminding her that he’s like her cousin
“technically i’m his aunt but whatever you say.”
your point was that they’re related so why would you want to be with him when you’re already with his more attractive aunt
that statement would get her blushing for sure, making her hide her face from you
“whatever. i just…don’t like seeing you with him. it makes me feel weird.”
your heart softened upon hearing her say that, thinking that she’s cute for realizing her own feelings, hugging her from behind and asking if she wants a kiss
“no. i didn’t say that, did i?”
you smile as that’s exactly what she says when she wants a kiss as you slowly turn her around to face you
she looks anywhere except your eyes until you place your fingers under her chin, pulling her focus to you
you remind her that you love her before closing the gap between your lips for a sweet, passionate kiss
“i hope you only kiss me like that.”
junpei
he may look meek and like he couldn’t do anything about it but in reality, anyone who tries anything with you will certainly regret it
he has more people who he feels respect him now than when he was at his other high school but there are still those who choose to underestimate him, especially when they see that you’re with him
one of those people is named noritoshi from the kamo clan which junpei had learned was a powerful sorcerer family within the first first seconds of meeting kamo
the first time he and kamo met, it did not go so well as kamo immediately targeted him in the joint training session between the two jujutsu schools
first kamo would taunt his naïveté as a sorcerer, telling him that he should just give up as his power could never reach to a level of any merit
he was used to this sort of thing and knows that none of it is true but when kamo started bringing you into it, that’s what made him really mad
“that partner is probably only with you because they feel sorry for you, how sad is that?? they should be with someone who actually has meaning to their name…”
he felt incensed that someone would say something like that about you, accuse you of pitying him as well as assume that kamo would be better for you and that you would be open to that option
after successfully destroying kamo in the training session, junpei couldn’t feel more proud of himself
and you were proud too as you reunited with him in a big hug, nearly knocking him over
you showered him with kisses and affirmations of how much you appreciate him
“well, uh, i, uh,” he stuttered as his cheeks glowed with pink
“i love you,” he finally spit out, causing your eyes to fill with tears of joy as you hugged him tightly, returning the sentiment
let’s get back to it! requests are still being accepted by yours truly...

What do you think about an arranged marriage with megumi
I think it kind of depends!
If you’re a complete stranger that he was forced to marry? He’s not going to want to do that (not that he’d want to be arranged in the first place). He’ll reject the idea as much as possible, maybe even go to Gojo as a last resort. Megumi wouldn’t personally take it out on you since you were dragged into it too, and he isn’t blind enough to misdirect his anger towards an innocent party. But don’t expect him to go out his way to change himself for your comfort or put in any effort where he doesn’t want to. You may be married but he doesn’t have to act like your husband. He doesn’t want to hold you back either. He’s perfectly fine being married in name only and the two of you going on like the other doesn’t exist or living on opposite sides of the country for all he cares. He’s also fine with being reasonably civil with each other until some type of deeper emotions develop be it romance, a friendship, or simply respect for each other due to the paper you signed.
However, if you’re already friends, I think he’d go more out of his way to try to make the relationship work between the two of you if there isn’t a way to get out of your marriage. He’ll repeatedly apologize the first few times after your marriage for his family forcing you into this and that you had to get married to him of all people because he knows he isn’t the best with the romantic aspects of socialization. But he really tries to make the best of the situation for both of your sakes especially if you’re already in love with some else. But, he might start to get jealous the longer you’re together and start viewing it as a real relationship sooner than he realized he would.
BUT SINCE THIS IS ME, I’m going to take this to a darker turn naturally. Whose to say that Megumi isn’t hopelessly in love with you already? And that this arrangement isn’t the perfect chance for him to be with you after years of keeping his feelings to himself because he knows you didn’t feel the same way? Oh, he’s definitely desperate enough to find any way to make you his even if he knows it isn’t fair. After all, nothing in life is distributed fairly, this is simply another one of those times. In time, he's sure you'll come to accept your life together.
“The wedding between Fushiguro Megumi, Heir of the Zen’in Clan, and Kamo (y/n) of the 2nd branch of the Kamo clan will take place on the first Sunday of November.”
Megumi suppresses the drumming of emotion echoing in his chest, fighting the urge to let the happily burning sensation from his heart spread as a smile to his face.
“Any objections?”
The answer comes without hesitation. “No.”
“(y/n)?”
Without any other movement, Megumi glances at you, worry starting to pull in the pit of his stomach as he wonders what wheels are currently turning in your mind. But he’s greeted with relief when Noritoshi asks you once again, “(y/n).”
“No.”
Noritoshi doesn’t sense or rather doesn’t care about the way your entire body tenses. No doubt there’s anger in your eyes hidden behind the shadow of your brow as you pin your chin towards your chest.
A feeble ringing echoes and chimes in the back of Megumi's mind, a familiar emotion that he doesn’t even remember existing beginning to form. Anger? Annoyance? Anxiety? He couldn’t recognize it even if he wanted to. All he knows is that it's making him irritated. But at who. You? Noritoshi? Your clans?
“Then, it’s official," Kamo declares, collecting the documents needed to seal your marriage. "I’ll have our clan begin on the arrangements immediately. I’m sure (y/n) can see you out.”
As Kamo leaves, the silence hanging in the air is palpable, suffocating even, but not unexpected. You release the breath you’ve been holding in since you entered the room before the air burning in your lungs makes your chest burst.
“How could you? I thought we were friends."
You weren’t one for marriage or being tied down. You made it clear that you had no more self-control than the rest of your classmates. Yet he let that wild, careless nature of yours enrapture him from the moment he laid eyes on you, even when he knew that your head would always belong in the clouds, eyes only for looking at the stars, heart made to be owned by no one.
He’d known that.
But who was he to pretend he was too good to deny the only chance he had to clip your wings and keep you bound to earth where he could reach?
“There wasn’t any choice. Both of our clans wanted this.”
Lies. As long as the option to choose you was available, he would keep making that choice to forcibly loop your strings of fate together in an unbreakable knot over and over again.
“I’m not stupid. You had a choice, Fushiguro.” You repeat, softer, smaller, broken, “You’ve always had a choice.”
You breathe in deep, and in any other situation he would’ve found the sinking of your teeth in your bottom lip endearing, tempting, but you wait as if taking the time to search the deepest pits of your soul for that emotion so foreign to you, that one of pure loathing. When you find it, you let it out, low and seething between bolted teeth.
“I hate you.”
Eyes softening, he can finally recognize that feeble chiming in his brain trying to tell him that this was wrong, no better than leaving a child in the hands of a family that despised you, no better than taking the frustration of being abandoned out on a girl who did her best to hold together the pieces of your broken life, but looking at you, imagining the sway of a white dress at delicate ankles quickly causes his mind to run wild with the thoughts of life together, of quiet nights curled against your back, a child of your own between the two of you, it all makes him weak, and he tells himself it’s not the same. His love for you would never become conditional.
“That’s fine. You’ll change your mind by time the wedding.”

an. hi i love nori thats all
ft. todo aoi, kamo noritoshi, yoshino junpei x gn!reader
wc. 0.9k
genre. fluff!
tw. mentions of marriage? idklol
♯ MASTERLIST ♯ TAGLIST ♯ PART 1 ♯
TODO AOI — aoi's not a jealous kind of guy. from the very first day he'd met you he'd expressed his interest in you - although you always took it as a joke - and even encouraged others to do so! you deserved to know how beautiful you were, after all. over time he felt his feelings slowly begin to evolve. rather than takeda, you were the one constantly on his mind. he knew what he felt for you was much more than attraction when he threw away his takeda-chan handshake tickets to stay by your side, and he never regretted a minute of it. aoi's not a jealous kind of guy, but god, he wanted nothing more than to punch the sleazy guy by your side. he felt as pissed off - if not more - as when he heard fushiguro's good for nothing answer to his type. the look on aoi's face made the crowd split as he headed straight towards the man, the look on his face warning enough. "todo!-" you exclaimed in relief as he approached, smile appearing on your face. the man in front of you quirked an eyebrow up and his expression turned sour, "who is?-" his mouth gapes as he cranes his neck to look up at him. "hey bro," todo begins, narrowed eyes as he looks down at the man (you think he looks rather adorable despite his attempt at a fierce expression) "that's my partner, y'know!-" the man doesn't even stay to listen, just scurries away with his tail between his legs and a meek 'sorry,' leaving his lips. todo huffs proudly, panicking slightly as he realises what he'd just done. "i'm sorry-" "thank you!" you exclaim, arms wrapping around his bicep. "maybe you can properly ask me out now?"
KAMO NORITOSHI — noritoshi is a rather traditional guy. he believes in the act of courting - rather than immediately asking you out - and that's exactly what he plans to do. noritoshi is a gentleman through and through, and so he'll never do anything without your permission - especially interrupting what currently looks like you on a date -- but that doesn't stop the growing feeling of sick jealousy in his stomach. noritoshi doesn't think the arm thrown around your shoulder and the unnecessarily close intimacy is very comfortable, clear with the expression on your face, and yet, who is he to really say? "i'm really not interested-" you repeat for the umpteenth time, shrugging the man's arm off as your eyes hurriedly scan the room, until they finally land on noritoshi. he pretends not to be, but you can clearly see the annoyance on his face as he glances back at you and the man often - the man still flirting with you. "no, really-" you pause, eyes glancing at noritoshi one more time before you clear your throat, raising your voice ever so slightly, "i'm not interested." noritoshi immediately perks up at this, and practically sprints to approach you (all the while you hide the grin growing on your face). "excuse me," noritoshi begins politely, "please stop bothering my fiancée." the smile on your face doesn't drop, but it does temporarily leave as you choke on air to regain your composure. the man falters a bit as he looks between you and noritoshi, before throwing his head back in laughter, "yea right! like i'd believe that-" you cut the man off with a kiss to noritoshi's cheek, arms wrapping around his waist as you nuzzle into him. you pretend not to notice the pink flooding his cheeks. "tch, whatever." he huffs, and finally walks off. "nori-" "i do want you to be my fiancée." it's your turn to feel flustered as the words leave his mouth. "but not now," nori adds, "i want to do it properly, then i'll marry you."
YOSHINO JUNPEI — junpei's realisation of his feelings for you was one of the worst and best things that had happened in his life. the warm foreign feeling that blossoms across his chest each time you're together is addictive, but the late night worries and doubts that plague his mind have him recoiling in on himself - and yet he comes back to you each time. you'd texted him a couple hours earlier, asking if he'd like to see a movie with you - and obviously, he accepted - junpei had started getting ready as soon as your plans aligned. "hah, you're cute." junpei's stomach drops as he listens to your conversation, awkwardly shifting in his place just a few feet behind you. "sorry, i'm actually here with someone." he hears you mutter quietly, eyes glancing to the side. junpei feels a small sense of pride rise up in him, and his feet move before his brain can catch up. "jun!" he hears you exclaim from beside him, before you immediately move closer to feel the familiar comforting aura that comes from being around junpei. "we're havin' a conversation here," the man scoffs, eyeing junpei. you glance back at junpei nervously, heart fluttering at the sight of his hardened expression. you've never seen him like this. "well, i don't want my partner and i to be late to our film, right, love?" junpei asks, eyes softening exponentially as he looks at you once more. you manage to give him a small nod as he intertwines your fingers, pulling you away from the man. junpei knows he probably went too far and goes to pull away as soon as you're out of sight of the man, but you keep him close. "what?" you say breathlessly, giving his hand a squeeze, "i'm not allowed to hold my boyfriends hand?"
