omg od um. FIRST let it be established that i lov e ALL of them. all star trek ladies. you’re a lady who shows up on star trek one time in the background of a scene? LOVE YOU. part of ds9′s cast of thousands? MARRY ME. main cast? WOULD DIE FOR U. now then, in somewhat drunken order:

Kira Nerys: has the bEST goddamn character arc in ALL of star trek and i don’t usually say fight me and mean it but i will THROW DOWN. she is rude and angry and has NO chill and she matures into this brilliant and compassionate officer with this huge capactiy for LOVE and SOFTNESS and just. the arc of her relationship with Cardassia. my GOD

Jadzia Dax: alsdkgja;sgjags BASICALLY who i looked at as an impressionable tween and went “her. i will be like Her” and did, in fact, grow up to have Wisdom and Sarcasm and a not insignificant amount of sex with strangers at parties

Seven of Nine: REALLY developing a major love for her this watch-thru of Voyager like i always loved her but now i GET her and i absolutely understand now how her character just swallowed the entire show because like. can literally ANY of the men on voyager stand next to her in a scene and not look like fools i mean COME ON

Kathryn Janeway: i ahve Dramatic Feelings about her in all directions and my love for her is More Complex than anyone else on this list but i’m writing her right now and rewatching the series from an adult perspective and i feel like i’m learning a lot about her and have MUCH greater sympathy for the kind of batshit crazy i did not forgive in past viewings and won’t. someone. plEASE just give her a PUPPY and HUG and a DAY OFF anyway i love her and she makes me want to scream

Michael Burnham: talk about someone needing a HUG

Deanna Troi: she is a goddamn delight and i will FIGHT A MAN for her, i love her softness and her insight and how unashamed she is to have FUN and now? that i’m writing this?? how were we cheated of her and Jadzia NEVER hanging out together??? i’ll add that to the list of things i love about deanna that we never actually SAW but OBVIOUSLY happened off-screen like 90% of her character potential

T’Pol: everyone like “she’s a terrible vulcan” yes?? she is???? and that is why she is a WONDERFUL character???? this confused human loving baby who is at home nowhere and just NEEDS TO BE LOVED OK. LOVED BY HERSELF MOSTLY. but ugh stop letting men write t’pol 2kforever THIS IS GETTING VERY STRESSFUL I AM GETTING TO THE END OF THE LIST AND NOWHERE NEAR THE END OF THE LOVE IN MY HEART

B’Elanna Torres: PLEASE has there ever been another character that i more want to wrap in a warm sweater and tell her that she is doing Very Well and actually everyone who was ever mean to her is Wrong and then make her say three nice things about herself because she is SO LOVEABLE. they made her cry in “faces” and i NEVER recovered

Ro Laren: sneaking in off the Recurring Characters list because i love her SO MUCH, she’s so wounded and so angry and so lonely and seriously every. damn. moment of her introduction episode is so fucking brilliant i can’t. her refusal to assimilate her name. “a starfleet admiral gave me a chance to help my people” alksjg;alksdjgag CRYING FOREVER

i’m DYING here i can’t leave either Kes or Ezri off this list!!!!! so they will share this spot as Main Title Lady Characters We Needed MORE SEASONS OF. Kes had the POTENTIAL of the best arc ever and honestly? the writers were NOT up to the task, but “The Gift” is by FAR the best character-“death” episode that any Star Trek show has ever done. Her arc ended too soon but what a PERFECT way to wrap it up. In this house we DON’T talk about “Fury.” Ezri is BABY and actually? Got a LOT of fabulous episodes. The love-scream in my heart is loudest for her out of EVERYONE and if i were not drinking i would REORDER THIS LIST RIGHT NOW
