Hahaha oh boy. Mostly how fucking stupid I was not doing internships when I had more of the chance and instead chose to go back home every summer. I really, really appreciated it at the time, but whenever I look for wildlife jobs now I just feel so underqualified and completely unprepared. I was stupid and some friends who will see this will never let me forget it.

At this moment what I’m most afraid of is not being able to get a job in my field and not being able to make some kind of meaningful contribution to conservation and stuff.

Oh god, sadly not. I still have some Discworld books to read but I don’t want to be done-done with the series as a whole. ;_;

Hi I fiercely believe in there being a right and wrong and tend to not suffer those who choose the latter; that being said, I am a goof who loves puns and even though I can be snarky as hell I secretly prefer it when people are even more snarky back to me and put me in my place, because it’s fun to laugh, even at yourself.

Alternatively, something I’ve always thought would eb cool was to either:Be able to teleport as far as your eye can seeorAny time you’re going down a street or sitting in a place or whatever, and for some vague reason it reminds you of some other place you’ve been to (so you drive past a street called Railroad Avenue, but you know of another Railroad Avenue in another town, or you’re sitting in a park and smells like your grandparents’ backyard), those two places become ‘linked’ and you can freely teleport between the two vaguely similar locations. You can’t like… consciously force the linking though.

Honestly probably Kubo & the Two Strings because it had so much potential but the second half of the film seems so…………………. so boring compared to what they could have done with it.

She’s Saint Francis incarnate, and not just for the animals. Even when people hurt her she will always take the higher path, and I know she has a better moral compass than I do. She’s wise and snarky and loves working the earth with her own hands (Hint: it’s an aunt of mine).

Sagittarius- What do you do when you don’t feel well? What do you eat/drink?

If you’re talking about a cold or something what I tend to do is fill a kettle to the brim and heat up a ton of water, then basically chug tea all day. Specifically chamomile or maybe a lemon tea, but both with some honey. That tends to help me recuperate faster.

Scorpius- If you had to pick someone to betray you, who would you pick?

Probs my friend Owen, ‘cause he’d be the easiest to ignore. 😂

Taurus- What makes you feel comfortable?

Eating food with friends, telling stories and jokes, good music on drives long & short, telling truths and sharing feelings, going to sleep exhausted because I actually did stuff during the day.

Ursa Major- If you had to pick any job to have, what job would you want? 

Savior of all Ursus-kind. Or like raising abandoned bear cubs which would be super sad but also super heartwarming.

I think I respect work ethic the most - you may not be the most capable, but you’re being honest & earnest, and like a teacher of mine said in the past, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

Honestly I’m happy to be a follower unless there’s no leader or the leader is incompetent.

Supernova- How do you feel about yourself?

Kind of unhappy, for the reasons mentioned in Comet. Kind of annoyed at how it feels like I’m procrastinating on starting my own life, whether that’s intentional or not. 

Supergiant- What’s something you like about yourself? 

People have told me they feel comfortable talking to me about issues and stuff and I really, really like that I can be that kind of person for my friends.

Red Giant- Would you get into a debate/argument with someone if you heard them saying something you disagree with or know to be wrong, or would you stay silent?

It depends. If they’re just talking with their own group and I’m not going to be stuck near them for hours, then I can just put headphones in, but if they’re making someone uncomfortable or something, I’d step in. I’d also step in if it was an honest mistake.

Red Dwarf- What’s your favorite smell? What smell makes you feel most comfortable? 

Pine trees I think. I loooooooooooooooove the smell of pine.

I finally beat Dragon’s Dogma the other day and I was scared I was going to be disappointed because I already kind of knew about the existential take it…. takes, but it was a blast and wonderful and amazing and I think everyone who likes rpg’s should play this game and Grigori is a huge…. sweetheart, of sorts.

If you had to change your character’s FC for one day, who would you pick?hmmm. Shannyn Sossamon, Alicia Vikander. There has to be a cute factor.

What drew you to rping this character?In all my gaming, whether tabletop RPs or PC RPGs, I’ve almost played a female archer/sniper type character. For whatever reason, I’m drawn to this woman who can throw a punch, survive in the woods, and take someone out with a headshot before they even know she’s there.

What’s something you like about how you write?I enjoy writing dialogue and that’s where I find I’m able to express my characters the best. 

What’s something you dislike about how you write or wish you were better at?I need to work on narrative voice and descriptions of actions, places, etc. I’ve never had ‘flowery’ type writing and so these visual details sometimes escape me.

What’s something about your character that you’d like if you had to spend time with them?Meryll’s willingness to be open to new experiences and new people, and how she chooses love first, rather than judgement or suspicion. 

What’s something about your character that you wouldn’t like if you had to spend time with them?Her impulsive nature would drive me nuts. And she does so many things are that aren’t safe lol

What’s a negative thing about your character that you enjoy writing?Meryll has the worst taste in men. She isn’t interested in anyone who is even remotely appropriate for her. This leads to so many odd pairings and comical events.

What;s a similarly you have with your character?probably the tall cutesy brunette part

What’s a difference you have with your character?Meryll is far quicker to open up to new people than I am. I tend to be more standoffish when I first meet someone but Meryll is all in right from hello.

What’s the hardest thing for you to write?as mentioned above – imagery in narrative.

Do you think you’ve gotten better at writing anything or any type of thing or situation since you started writing this character (or roleplaying in general)? I think I’ve gotten better at jumping into the minds of different characters. My two mains - Tywin and Meryll - are on the opposite side of the spectrum from each other, and I find switching between them to be easier all the time

Why do you roleplay?I’ve always enjoyed writing, making up stories, but it has been such a solitary activity. The idea of creating stories and worlds with other people is amazing. i love it.

Do you write fiction ever other than rping?I started writing a fantasy novel many many years ago but put it aside. A couple years ago, I discovered GoT fanfics and that got my writing bug going again.

Do you like fanfiction more or less than rp threads between characters?Depends – sometimes I want complete control over a scene and don’t feel like dealing with other people, so that is a great time to work on fanfics. When i get writers block in my fics, I find RP helps get things flowing again. RP demands a greater flexibility - always being ready to react to whatever your writing partner throws at you, different timelines, different genres, or characters you never even imagined your own character meeting. It is definitely great for creativity.For reading purposes, i would rather read a fanfic over someone else;s RP threads, just for continuity of style and flow.

Do you like or dislike OC/Canon character interactions in principle?i love it. as long as the characters are well written and the chemistry is there, i’m all for it.

What’s your favorite thing about rping a canon character?having so much lore available at my fingertips. The ASOIAF community is incredibly dorky and the lore resources out there are absolutely amazing. sometimes i spend more time researching a thread than i do writing it.

What’s something you dislike about rping a canon character?having to explain/rationalize some of GRRM’s weird decisions, and having to deal with other people’s ideas about a character

What’s your favorite thing about rping an original character?Not having to deal with other people’s predetermined notions of the character. When I write canon characters i worry that they come across too HC-heavy and that others will think I’m not IC enough. I never have that problem with Meryll :). Although there are, of course, predetermined notions of her House, but that’s fun to deal to with.

What’s something you dislike about rping an original character?the struggle of getting other people to write with me. i get it though, i have canon characters and sometimes i just can’t get my head around how they will interact with a certain OC. 

How much time do you spend roleplaying on average a week?comes and goes in spurts. right now i’m spending a lot of time writing but that comes after a couple weeks of very spotty activity.

Do you think about your threads and your character when you aren’t roleplaying? How and for how long on average?yes .. i come up with weird ideas all the time. not sure how much time is spent doing this..

Do you like lots of headcanons or few?i love hearing other people’s headcanons about their own characters and mine as well. it helps to come up with ideas for threads. really, the more information, the better

What’s your take on AUs?i used to write a lot of modern AU but lately i’m into canon timeline. I’m game to try writing most things, but my focus depends on what is currently inspiring me

What’s a ship you would never rp? For what reason? Hmm.. there’s not much I would be completely against shipping. That being said, I would never push a ship that my writing partner wasn’t comfortable with. I do ship some unconventional (problematic?) pairings, so I’m careful to have a frank talk with potential writing partners before delving in.

What do you dislike about roleplaying angst?sometimes if it stays dark for too long, you almost get immune to the pain. i like a nice mix of angst and fluff.

Do you ever read rp threads you aren’t involved in? What type of thread does it usually have to be to interest you?I love good writing, so I’ll read anything - angst, smut, fluff, etc - if it’s well-written. I recently read some awesome Star Wars threads which made me get into the movie franchise again when it was something i hadn’t been interested in for quite some time. Right now I’m creeping on the HP fandom – some cool stuff going on there too.

If you do read threads you aren’t in, do you usually let the other authors know, or keep it under your hat?I’ll usually let them know that I’m enjoying their thread through a like, reply, dash commentary or IM.

What’s your least favorite thing about rping a chat/short style thread?I quite appreciate one-liner threads and they definitely have their place on my dash, but it can be frustrating when one is really awesome and you want to turn it into a novella-like thread and aren’t sure if the other person will appreciate it.

Do you prefer gifs or icons when roleplaying? Or no FC at all?I prefer icons, but gifs can be useful too, especially for humour. I don’t mind if writers don’t use FC’s though. sometimes there just isn’t a FC available to do the character justice.

Do you roleplay with people whose characters aren’t from the same dimentional universe as yours? (For example, if your character is drawn or anime, will you RP with people who use actor face claims/play-bys?) Hmmm. Probably not. I think it would be harder for me to visualize interactions in this situation.

What’s something you like about FCs/Play-Bys?It’s nice to be able to put a face on a character, and also fun to do image hunting to make the perfect icons.

What’s something you dislike about FCs/Play-Bys?There’s always those situations where you associate a certain face with something and then that carries over into your perspective of the character using that FC

How old are you?: 26, y’all saw it in the last one (maybe? shrug)

What’s your current job?: ...uhh... ;;; being an unemployed dad... I’M LOOKING FOR WORK NOW THAT I HAVE MY COMPUTER BACK THOUGH CRIES

What are you good at?: Analytically picking shit apart lol. Probably my most substantial talent honestly, I just... have a mind for the critical and analytical, I guess. I usually try to put it to (’’’good’’’) use by making up lists and game systems/mechanics related to stuff I like, IE the Digimon Chart project I do on @digivolutioncentral. Apart from that, I’m pretty decent at writing, mostly use it in private RPs with the waifu @biryu13 and haven’t written anything independently in a while... might change soon. Also, I think it’s safe to say I’m pretty good (decent at least) at video games in general, in particular platformers, RPGs, action games, and some fighting games. 

What is a big goal you are working towards (or have already achieved)?: ....uhh... it’s hard to think of much I’ve actually accomplished that doesn’t involve stupid video games stuff, haha... ;; Well... I got married and have a great kid and great relationship... I think that’s something a lot of people strive for (well... dunno bout the kid part lol but y’know) and I’m not gonna let that go unappreciated. Apart from that? ....Oh, well I guess this is significant... I achieved every gamer kid’s dream of being a game tester and worked QA for id Software for 3 months, testing Doom and Wolfenstein so that was pretty badass, however shortlived. I don’t think 3 months is enough for anyone else in the industry to seriously consider using me... haha... ;; but.. it’s something... As far as longer-term goals, I want to start making my own games. I’ve got some of the resources, but lately I’m trying to improve my drawing and watching my kid a lot... so... hopefully I’ll get there eventually ;;

What is your aesthetic?: Green, swords, scales, dragons, knight stuff, ninja stuff... fantasy/adventure stuff, like yellowed, musty maps, peaceful forests, beaten paths, that sort of thing... Also, Fire Emblem GBA’s Dark magic is suuuper my aesthetic. Ancient runes, spirit flames, purple lightning, mages so deep in their robes that they’re barely recognizable as human... that shit is my jam. 

Do you collect anything?: I can’t exactly afford to be what I’d call a dedicated collector, but I do go for specific things of characters/series that I like... Got a few Smash Bros amiibos of characters I like, some pins, buttons, video games ofc (own both of the Tellius Fire Emblems, which are pretty rare from what I understand haha), and some Pokemon/Digimon/Yugioh cards.

What’s a topic you always talk about: Right now, it’s Fire Emblem lol. I’m friggin’... playing Heroes, thinking about shit from Awakening and Fates, debating writing fics for both of those, and also writing up a modified list of classes and weapons from across the series for use in a forum/tabletop RPG, or maybe somewhere in the future, a fangame. 

What is a pet peeve of yours: OH MAN WHERE TO START HAHA. I am so irritable that what ISN’T might be a shorter list, but... 1) Fuckin’... rude drivers. Like, shit like switching lanes to get in front of me when I’m going the goddamn speed limit. Fuck you. 2) Contrived plots in movies and games-- makes it way harder to genuinely enjoy the bulk of movies I go to haha... hollywood contrivances are everywhere. Stuff like the forced romance, white/male heroic protag (or alternatively, the nerdy underdog who becomes ‘cool), things that are just silly or unrealistic, dramatic/selfish monologues, etc. In video games, it’s usually the super edgy, angst-ridden white dudebro protag who’s totally unrelatable. 3) On the japanese/eastern spectrum of contrivances, villains whose goal is to ‘make a pure world’ that involves mass genocide of humans or whatever. Like what worse excuse could you possibly have for wanting to vent your pissbaby angst? There’s no way you can objectively sit there and tell me that killing ALL humans, innocents included, is going to make a ’’’pure world’’’. Fuck off. ....that’s probably enough for now haha ;;

Good advice to give: Lately, one of the credos I find I’m trying to live and act by the most is just let people like what they like. Like... that SHOULD be obvious, but it’s funny how so many people (including myself until relatively recently!) are so quick to condemn or put down people for something they like. Just, like... If it’s not HURTING someone, then what’s the harm? Don’t shit on people for liking it, however trashy, or dumb, or objectively bad or whatever you might think it is. Everyone has different tastes and your views of what’s objectively good and bad aren’t as unbiased as you might think they are... So just, don’t be a jerk.

Halo by Starset (just a really good band honestly, all their stuff is good lol)
