tl;dr: i saw a gif of bill hader as richie tozier last summer and i immediately received a prophecy that i should read IT

That’s a fever dream literally all i remember is seeing a gif of Bill Hader as Richie Tozier and thinking to myself “oh fuck. that’s favourite character material” and decided to read the book????? this seems like a perfectly normal thing to do now that i write it but i assure you it was not because like,,,,,,,i was dedicated to it i just KNEW i had to read IT i KNEW it was gonna be super important for my life??? like for some reason i thought reading IT was gonna be a major life event for me? (it kinda was tho) Literally even before reading the book i treasured it but it also gave me the chills??? idk i spent a whole month researching IT related stuff learning about the characters and accidentally the 2 spoilers. then when i finally felt spiritually ready (who the fuck does that????? who gets ready to read a book?) i ordered the book and when it arrived i read it in 4 days without leaving my room and i was super weird about it i have no idea what the fuck happened that month i just saw bill hader, i felt like “this will be a checkpoint in my life“ and read it in 4 days. i dont give a fuck about the movies tho
