Radiation House

I’m translating the interview with Kubota Masataka and Honda Tsubasa for the drama Radiation House that’s in the official website. I wanted to put it out tonight since the drama’s starting tomorrow. But it’s longer than I thought and will take more than 10 minutes to translate the whole thing (more like an hour??). Oh well. Will probability take me until the end of the week because I’m too busy. Maybe someone else will translate it ahead of me or maybe someone already has (lol). But anyways, hoping the drama is good!!!!

Radiation House Episode 1

First episode just finished airing. Some thoughts:

Those unrealistic representations of processing and viewing the images really left an impression. A not-so-good one. I understand that just staring at the images might be too boring to show in a drama. But blocks of binary?! Really?! Showing lines and lines of binary seem to be a go-to for showing computer hacking, but I didn't think they'd do that for interpreting medical images.

Igarashi Iori is a weirder character than I thought he'd be. But I do love that he's sensitive of his surroundings in surprising ways.

I hope they also show good doctors. So far, most of them are shown to be any of cowardly, or taking unearned recognition, or lacking respect towards colleagues and subordinates, or a bad kind of reckless.

So far, liking the vibe. We will have to see how this goes.
