At 8:07 pm yesterday 9/9/20 Diamond journeyed to the rainbow bridge. She went at home with her head in my lap. Diamond would have been 15 in Dec. We made it thru some impossible times together & have saved each other. My heart aches terribly & it's surreal here without her. Many thanks to Dr. Lisa & vet tech Mandy @housepawsmobilevet for allowing a very personal scenario to remain just that. Diamond passing peacefully at home meant the world to me. You ladies made an unbearable situation tolerable & were so good to Diamond (Chaos loved them, was showing off big time). This cat is comfortable at 11. Happy Birthday, Lorraine! Today is a special day but it’s also a very sad day in our family. It’s Lorraine’s birthday but it’s also our first birthday without Lorraine’s brother, Bill, who would also be 11 today.

Posted is an old photo of the two of them when we brought them home from the shelter. 2018 was a difficult year for all of us, with both cats suffering very serious medical issues within a few months.

These types of situations are always unexpected and can be extremely difficult for many families facing a financial hardship.
