“It’s hotttt...” The feline whined to himself, traversing the rooftops of Asheville as if he owned the place. Now, it was definitely out of place for a feline to be doing that -- a distinct one solid black with a distinct purple scarf around his neck and two long, twin tails. Who was he? Why was he here?

( Let’s roll back a bit;

“I need you to go and spy on this town!” “But sir will I be given all the riches in the world for it?” “No!” 

That was a poor re-enactment and nothing of what the true conversation was, but back to the story. )

Nanase, thief cat extraordinaire, Shopkeeper by day and Thief by night, was doing some recon following Pan’s intrigue into a particular boy -- Asher, if he remembered right. Having tracked his magic trace back to a particular house, the cat found himself having no patience as all the boy did was, well, sleep or go to work. He didn’t run in a pack, he didn’t do anything interesting. 

The being who called himself by such an ancient name of Death as ‘Anubis’ wasn’t around at the moment... and so here he was, laying down a few blocks away near the town square on one of its building rooftops, staring down, complaining about the heat... and all would have continued had he not picked up on something -- a feline scent, a magical energy, a cat walking in plain sight! He was thrilled for a moment, thinking that another Nekomata had entered on the scene -- maybe a nice lady and-- Nope.

Just a werecat. Sigh.

“Well that was lackluster...” Back to his watch he goes.

did anyone ever watch 'the house of anubis/het huis anubis' as a kid? because i did and i'd love to write any of the characters as adults (pref joyce and patricia), or just have an rp set at a boarding school that hides an old ancient egyptian secret. obv not with high schoolers but maybe a very strict boarding college? something like that? also open to those who want to do a mumu around a group of college students finding out about a secret treasure at their school + some romance mixed in.
