I'm genuinely so depressed by these numbers like can we not even do this.
#thoughts#also it's so evil seeing these side by side with these predicted outcomes like the way one of these is going to send more (particularly#marginalized) people to prison for longer & more severe sentences and then the other us going to force them to work for literal cents to th#hour without the ability to refuse. like it's just a constantly replenishing source of slavery. and people are just going to vote to#maintain this. ig bc they value their property or vague ideas abt punishment more than human beings. genuinely nauseating#<- this is not new ofc. but it's very stark & deeply depressing people aren't even taking the chance to make it better#like i was genuinely so hopeful when i first saw them on the ballot
