I can tell that Paimon has withheld information from me. No doubt he doesn’t want me to know the future, and if he doesn’t want that, then I can only guess it isn’t good. And yet, it cannot be all so bad, Flora, for you  are grown so beautiful and strong. But I think there can only be one reason why I would not help you - but you needn’t fear telling me. I do not fear dying, Flora. I expect it. Fyrdraacas don’t die in their beds. I only hope that I make a good death. And I’m sorry it means I will not be there for you. Will not see you grow up.
