with corona virus the loss of smell and taste is separate from nasal congestion, with the flu and colds you can lose your sense of taste and smell with bad enough nasal symptoms like sinus congestion and runny nose due to taste being mostly a nose based sense and so forth. that's what the chart inarticulately is trying to say. covid it's a primary symptom; with the cold and flu it's a secondary one to nasal congestion

That makes a hell of a lot more sense. I'm gonna post this publicly because it's good information. I knew it was more prominent in Covid, obviously, as a primary symptom and all, but the fact it listed it as rare under colds and flu confused me due to the lack of context. If it had put "unrelated to congestion" in brackets or something to make it clear that they weren't talking about it just in general that would have made a bit more sense to me 😭. (Definitely my own fault there with the reading comprehension though lmao)

Teen Wolf

Lab partner: Stiles Stilinski. He’s smarter than he gives himself credit for and we’d have a great time goofing off in class together. The teacher would let it slide cause our grades would be awesome.

Ten hour elevator: Scott McCall. The sweetest boy. He would be fun to talk to for that amount of time and he wouldn’t hype up my anxiety like Stiles or Derek would.

Job trainer: Derek Hale. First off, Derek just needs a job that he can focus on. Poor dude is too tortured, he’s gotta settle down doing something. Also, he’s really the only adult here. I can see him as a boss.

Band of Brothers

Lab partner: Dick Winters. He’s smart, levelheaded, and good at giving instructions and working with others. Even if we didn’t really understand the material, he’d be able to work me through it with a sensible strategy. 

Ten hour elevator: Eugene Roe. I’d love to spend ten hours with him. And again, I think he’d be really good at keeping me from freaking out over being trapped somewhere. 

Job trainer: Ronald Spiers. He’d terrify me but like, at least in this setting he’s my boss. Out of the choices given, that’s pretty much the only position where me being nervous around the other person makes a lot of sense.

Harry Potter

Lab partner: Luna Lovegood. She wouldn’t steamroll me in a partnered setting like Hermione would. It’d be great to get her perspective on schoolwork. Plus we’re both Ravenclaws.

Ten hour elevator: Ginny Weasley. We’d have a ball just hanging out and making jokes while killing time. The fun, easygoing conversation is what would keep me calm.

Job trainer: Hermione Granger. I need someone to really spell out what I’m supposed to be doing in a job. Hermione is all about the rules and instructions.

A lot of people are complaining because he is indeed a very charitable man. But it doesn’t exempt him from criticism. Things like this are reminders of the deeply unhealthy gap between our economic classes. The kindest rich man is still blind. Also given how the biggest companies in Seattle wield absurd political power maybe it shouldn’t have the 3rd largest homeless population in the US. Shrug. Are there worse people? Yes. Does that mean he’s above reproach? No.

is the headline stupid as fuck? yes. is bill gates solely responsible for the economic gap? no. should the people who are responsible get their ass kicked? yes. were the comments on that post fucking ridiculous? also yes.
