Rest in peace Jeremy Bulloch! The original Boba Fett from Star Wars. It was an honor to have him (and his wife) as a guest on our Star Wars event called Hoth Con back in 2016 here in Helsinki. We had booked him as a guest only for a one day but after the day was over he wanted to stay for another one and meet more of his Finnish fans even though the day had been a long one and he had a never-ending queue. I'm privileged to have met him and his lovely wife. Happy New Year 2017! 

Here we have all our cosplays worn in 2016. We only did 2 new ones each; PE teacher!Dean and Leviathan!Castiel from Supernatural and Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

We did GoT cosplays in 2015 but we wore them again this year in few conventions as well. We had a photoshoot with Ivanneth Cosplay and got some real nice photos of Alex’s Jon ja Em’s Ygritte! ♥ I also really like the photos Alex snapped from my Dany cosplay in front of the red wall, I really love the contrast! 

In Popcult we had a presentation about spirits and ghouls used in Supernatural and of course we were dressed a accordingly in Supernatural cosplays. For such easy looking cosplays these were actually pretty hard to make! I really loved to play with the fake blood. The presentation went well. Fun fact: this was the 5th version of Dean for Alex and 4th version of Castiel for me. It was also the third trench coat for me...

Main project of 2016 was Star Wars and again we had a joy to do them with bunch of good friends. Anakin and Obi-Wan were our very first cosplays in 2010, so it was very rewarding to do them again. We could very well see where we had improved and how. they were a lot comfier to wear this time and I’m really proud of how everything turned out. 

The year ended in very nice SW feels when Alex won the 2th place in HothCon’s cosplay contest. :3

Eee, there’s a tiny Star Wars con called HothCon in Helsinki at the end of November and they have the Swedish branch of the LudoSport Lightsaber Combat Academy give a couple of lessons. I’m so excited!

Jeremy Bulloch (original Boba Fett) will also be there.

I also participated in the cosplay competition, which my lovely Luke Skywalker @gridcosplay won, 1st place! I'm so proud of you baby! I still can't believe that I met these amazing people! Or that I actually got to be their host while they were staying in Helsinki. 😱 Paul Blake (Greedo - A New Hope) & Femi Taylor (Oola - Return of the Jedi) from the original Star Wars trilogy.
