Experience Beautiful Bayswater in Four Seasons
London is a city destination with appeal in all the seasons. Summer is marked by long hours of daylight and sporadic heatwaves. Winter wraps the city in darkness yet festive illuminations and Christmas markets ensure the morale stays high. While spring is the season of fresh blooms and picnics, autumn sees the city erupt in golden and honey hues perfect for a crisp walk.
Choosing hotels near Bayswater lets you experience the best of London in all seasons. This is what to expect and what to do when you stay in the West End in autumn, winter, spring, and summer.

Free Things To Do In London In 2022 We Bet You Never Knew
Tumblr media
There are so many free things you can do in London, so many that you arguably wouldn’t have to spend a penny on visiting sights and attractions for the entire duration of your stay.
There are no fewer than 30 to 40 free museums, galleries and exhibitions in London, ranging from the more grandiose Natural History Museum and Science Museum to the relatively unknown Queen’s House and Museum of the Order of St John.
And then you’ve got the Royal Packs and near-endless sights you can experience for free from the street.
Without further ado, here are free things you can do in London in 2022!
1: Free museums and galleries
Most of London’s many museums are free. As of 2022, at least 30 to 40 museums and galleries are 100% free of charge to visitors. There are often ticketed events and exhibitions within the museum, but these are optional and by no means required to experience the museum.
We recommended creating a shortlist of a few museums and visiting 2 to 3 in one day (beware, the Science Museum and Natural History Museums are large!) Hotels in Hyde Park London are just a stone’s throw from London’s museum districts.
Here’s a list of London’s free museums and galleries:
●     British Museum
●     National Gallery
●     Museum of London
●     Tate Modern
●     Tate Britain
●     Natural History Museum
●     Science Museum
●     Royal Academy of Arts
●     Imperial War Museum and the Churchill War Rooms
●     National Maritime Museum
●     Victoria and Albert Museum
●     Guildhall Art Gallery and Roman Amphitheater
●     Wellcome Collection
●     Queen’s House
●     Sir John Soane's Museum
●     Horniman Museum and Gardens
●     London Mithraeum
●     British Library
●     National Army Museum
●     Royal Air Force Museum
●     The Wallace Collection
●     Museum of London Docklands
●     Young V&A
●     Bank of England Museum
●     Whitechapel Gallery
●     Serpentine Galleries
●     Museum of the Order of St John
●     National Portrait Gallery
●     Photographer's Gallery
●     Saatchi Gallery
 2: London’s Parks and Gardens
All of London’s eight Royal Parks are free to everyone, including Hyde Park, Richmond Park, Greenwich Park, The Regent's Park, St. James's Park, Bushy Park, Green Park and Victoria Tower Gardens.
There are other parks too, like Kensington Gardens, which are excellent for enjoying London greenery. The gardens are home to the Albert Memorial, Round Pond, the Peter Pan Statue, and the Diana Memorial Playground. Hotels near Lancaster Gate are perfectly positioned for exploring London’s many parks.
Greenwich Park is particularly exciting with its long, rolling hill that provides spectacular views of the London skyline. It also hosts the Royal Observatory, home to the Meridian Line, which marks Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Eat at some restaurants in Bayswater before hopping on any of the numerous nearby tube stations to Greenwich.
Another important mention is the relatively new Sky Garden built inside The Fenchurch Building (also known as the Walkie-Talkie). The Sky Garden is an awesome indoor garden with spectacular panoramic views of the city.
3: London’s Markets
There are some amazing free London markets to explore, ranging from the world-famous Borough Market to the trendy Brick Lane Market. If you’re staying at Paddington hotels London, you’re just 20 minutes away from Borough Market.
Camden Market is also very well-known and is much-loved by foodies who peruse its endless culinary offerings. Maltby Street Market, Old Spitalfields Market, Portobello Road Market and Greenwich Market are all well worth a visit too.

7 Unusual Tourist Attractions in London
Tumblr media
There is so much to see in London beyond the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. Naturally, London’s most popular spots are worthy of a visit and should not be overlooked. But, when staying in Hyde Park Corner hotels you can look forward to exploring some of London’s unusual tourist attractions.
London’s Smallest Police Station
London’s Smallest Police Station is located in the corner of Trafalgar Square near the Strand. It’s around the size of a phone box with an old-fashioned large lamp on top of the unit and narrow slits for windows. There is just enough space for one police officer to stand inside; it’s usually locked but you can peek inside.
Italian Gardens
Hyde Park is always popular but few tourists know about the Italian Gardens. These are located in the northern part of the park, far from the boating lake. Conceived as a gift from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria, the plot consists of fountains and statues. Grab an early breakfast in Bayswater London and then swing by first thing when the park is tranquil and the light is perfect for photography.
London’s urban farms
There are several little farms dotted around London where you will meet livestock and learn about modern-day agriculture. Farms are free to visit but donations are always appreciated and you can dine at the complex cafes or pick up a small souvenir. London’s urban farms include Vauxhall City Farm, Spitalfields City Farm, Stepney City Farm, and Surrey Docks City Farm.
Westminster Cathedral
Not to be confused with Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral is a Byzantine-style house of worship that sought inspiration from the mosques of Istanbul. You can visit the nave for free to ogle the splendid marble and mosaics. Do not miss this cathedral while staying at a hotel near Buckingham Palace.
River or canal kayaking
You can kayak either on the River Thames or on the Regent’s Canal. London Kayak Company conducts guided river tours in Central London with their night kayak being particularly special. On the other hand, Moo Canoes operate from Limehouse Basin and Hackney Wick from where you can self-paddle the canal ways.
Filming locations of London
Countless films and TV series have been filmed in London. One of the kookiest free things to do in London is to track down the spots where your favourite films were shot. Find William and Spike’s flat at 280 Westbourne Park Road from Notting Hill. Visit the Old Naval College at Greenwich and see where the finale of Thor: The Dark World was made. If you’re travelling with kids, lure them out of Central London hotels with triple rooms with the promise of seeing as many Harry Potter filming locations as possible.
Hampstead Ponds
Head to Hampstead Heath on a hot afternoon and you can plunge into natural ponds for a spot of wild swimming. There is a small fee to pay and you’re best booking a slot in advance. Take your pick from the women’s pond, men’s pond, or mixed pond. The water is deep so novice swimmers and children must take extra care.

Tumblr media
London has a lot to offer tourists and visitors. There are attractions and destinations to suit all different types of people and budgets.
Crazy golf is an accessible, cheap and easy to play activity, providing lots of opportunities to laugh and be entertained. This makes it a popular game to play individually, in pairs, or as a group or family.
Why not look for one of the excellent boutique hotels near Hyde Park that would make a great place to stay before heading out for a game.
With golf course themes ranging from the mythical to the exotic, check out our list of the best places to go.

Pop Golf
Pop Golf offers a unique experience that fuses crazy golf and pop music. The ethos is to bring people together through music and play. It’s a playground that’s made up of 9 pop-themed holes and the background music is provided via a top notch sound system.
With their interactive audio technology and a context providing an immersive experience, this crazy golf course is truly like no other.
After an evening on the course, you might want to find yourself a single room near Hyde Park to relax in. The next day, you can also find yourself breakfast at Hyde Park before you go back out to explore London further.
Putt in the Park, Battersea
Situated in the heart of Battersea Park, this is a golf experience that will entice seasoned pros and complete beginners alike. Accessible to all ages, you will navigate your way through slopes, cascades and rockeries. Afterwards, there is a friendly clubhouse to enjoy, with delicious pizza and fresh coffee on offer.
Puttshack
Located in Westfield shopping centre, this might be the craziest golf experience you ever have. Known as the world’s first high-tech mini golf experience, Puttshack uses technology to enhance a player's crazy golf adventure. Not only that, but afterwards why not enjoy one of the delicious cocktails or sample some of the food at the island bar?

What Happened to Musician Richey Edwards?
Richey James or Richey Manic, was a Welsh musician who was the lyricist and rhythm guitarist of the alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. Edwards disappeared on 1 February 1995, on the day when he and Bradfield were due to fly to the United States on a promotional tour of The Holy Bible. In the two weeks before his disappearance, Edwards withdrew £200 a day from his bank account, which totalled £2,800 by the day of the scheduled flight. Some speculated that he needed the money for the U.S. trip, and it was also mentioned he had ordered a new desk for his flat from a shop in Cardiff. However, there was no record of the desk having been paid for, and this would have explained only half of the money withdrawn. According to Emma Forrest, as quoted in A Version of Reason, "The night before he disappeared Edwards gave a friend a book called Novel with Cocaine, instructing her to read the introduction, which details the author staying in a mental asylum before vanishing." Whilst staying at the Embassy Hotel in Bayswater Road, London, according to Rob Jovanovic's biography, Edwards removed some books and videos from his bag. Among them was a copy of the play Equus. Edwards wrapped them carefully in a box with a note that said "I love you", then decorated the box like a birthday present and decorated the outside of it with collages and literary quotations. These included a picture of a Germanic-looking house and Bugs Bunny. The package was addressed to Edwards' on/off girlfriend, Jo, whom he met some years prior, although they had split a few weeks earlier. The next morning, Edwards collected his wallet, car keys, some Prozac and his passport. He reportedly checked out of the hotel at 7:00 a.m., leaving his toiletries, packed suitcase, and some of his Prozac. He then drove to his flat in Cardiff, leaving behind his passport, his Prozac and the Severn Bridge tollbooth receipt. In the two weeks that followed, Edwards was apparently spotted in the Newport passport office and at Newport bus station by a fan who was unaware that he was missing. The fan was reported to have discussed a mutual friend, Lori Fidler, before Edwards departed. On 7 February, a taxi driver from Newport supposedly picked up Edwards from the King's Hotel, and drove him around the valleys, including Edwards' hometown of Blackwood. The driver reported that the passenger had spoken in a Cockney accent, which occasionally slipped into a Welsh one, and that he had asked if he could lie down on the back seat. Eventually they reached Blackwood and the bus station, but the passenger reportedly said "this is not the place", and asked to be taken to Pontypool railway station. It was later ascertained, according to Jovanovic's account, that Pontypool did not have a telephone. The passenger got out at the Severn View service station near Aust, South Gloucestershire and paid the £68 fare in cash. On 14 February, Edwards' Vauxhall Cavalier received a parking ticket at the Severn View service station, and on 17 February, the vehicle was reported as abandoned. Police discovered the battery to be dead, with evidence that the car had been lived in. The car also had photos he had taken of his family days prior. Due to the service station's proximity to the Severn Bridge, a known suicide site, it was widely believed that Edwards had jumped from the bridge. Many people who knew Edwards, however, have said that he was never the type to contemplate suicide and he himself was quoted in 1994 as saying, "In terms of the 'S' word, that does not enter my mind. And it never has done, in terms of an attempt. Because I am stronger than that. I might be a weak person, but I can take pain". Since then, Edwards has reportedly been spotted in a market in Goa, India, and on the islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. There have been other alleged sightings of Edwards, especially in the years immediately following his disappearance. However, none of these has proved conclusive and none have been confirmed by investigators. In 2018, it was revealed that the bridge's toll receipt was a 24-hour clock, meaning he would have crossed the bridge at 2:55 am, rather than 2:55 pm as previously thought for 23 years. The investigation itself has received criticism.  While his family had the option of declaring him legally dead from 2002 onwards, they chose not to for many years, and his status remained open as a missing person until 23 November 2008, when he became officially "presumed dead".

London’s park life: Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens
Tumblr media
London is, of course, awash with many attractions that appeal to many different visitors. Yet, there are some destinations in the UK capital that have an innate appeal for every kind of visitor.
A good example is the city’s wonderful Royal Parks – and, taken together, the neighbouring Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are probably the ultimate example for those staying at the likes of Bayswater Inn hotel. Here are just some of their highlights…
The Serpentine
Maybe the most clichéd, but also most fun thing to do in either Hyde Park or Kensington Gardens is to jump in one of the pedaloes and enjoy yourself on the water. The snake-like, winding lake that fills a portion of Hyde Park and leads up to West Carriage Drive, the road that separates Hyde Park from Kensington Gardens, the Serpentine is also a fine spot to stop at for feeding the park’s wildfowl (geese, ducks, swans and more) with appropriate food, of course – no big bits of bread, thanks!
Alternatively, those staying nearby at hotels on Bayswater Road London might pick a rowboat – if they’re prepared to paddle with oars for some Victorian-style pleasure boating.
Serpentine Gallery
At the southern end of Kensington Gardens lies the Serpentine Gallery, which – despite calling a Victorian pavilion its home – first opened in 1970 and since then has been used to display some of the finest contemporary art around. Pleasingly free-to-enter for all visitors, it not only hosts exhibition by well-known modern artists (like, say, Grayson Perry) but also exciting up-and-comers who deserve the major exposure the gallery can bring them.
Serpentine Bar and Kitchen
Just a short walk from the Serpentine Gallery is this fine restaurant, which is a simply perfect destination for a snack or spot of lunch – ideal whether you’re staying a distance away in the capital or nearby at, say, The Bayswater hotel London. Housed in a glass-sided building that looks out over the lake itself, it can prove a wonderful viewing point to watch all the park’s myriad wildfowl go about their daily business watch the swans. A word to the wise: the outdoor seating area can be glorious on a lovely day but gets very business, so be sure to book a table and not just turn up, expecting to be seated.
Princess Diana Memorial Fountain
Open to the public since 2004, this marvellous memorial to the late Princess of Wales (mother Princes William and Harry) is a beautifully designed and aesthetically impressive loop of water that’s terrific for all visitors, but especially young ones to play in, dabbling their feet in the water, should the day in be warm enough, no doubt. Welling up at its tallest point, the water in the fountain, then flows down in two different directions, passing over ridges and cascades and through bubbling jets, then finally it comes together again in a calm pool at the bottom.
Kensington Palace
Finally, at the northern end of Kensington Gardens, beyond the brilliant bronze Peter Pan statue and the charming Round Pond, lies Kensington Palace. Built by the legendary architect Sir Christopher Wren and first inhabited in 1689, the lavishly adorned Royal palace was once home to both Princess Margret and Diana, Princess of Wales and, currently, is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children. Nowadays, too, it serves a terrific tourist attraction, not least for visitors booked into Hyde Park hotels near Kensington Palace.
With impressive and hugely popular exhibitions often held in the palace’s galleries – usually featuring clothes and artworks worn and owned by British royals through the ages – other galleries are also to the public, such as those created for King William III and the apartments of King George I and Queen Victoria.

Brutalist London: Our Guide
Tumblr media
Brutalist architecture is something you either love or hate. London has some marvellous examples of brutalism, and no matter which side your preference falls on, they’re certainly striking to look at.
Following World War II brutalism played an important part in shaping the landscape of London as the city was re-built, with clean lines and severe structures they once appeared modern and brave. Today these buildings create a sharp contrast to the ornate and decorative buildings they share a context with and are an important part of London’s architectural history.
The Barbican
After being almost entirely razed by the Blitz, the Barbican’s architects created an ambitious and unique proposal to transform and rebuild the site. Today it’s home to 4,000 residents across 2,000 flats, organised around schools, a church, a library, an artificial lake, conservatory and an entire arts centre. The planners left no detail unconsidered, from the 40 storey towers to the basement theatre and cinemas.
The entire site received Grade II listed status in 2001 and today visitors can explore the site freely, including the many public spaces, cafes, restaurants, highwalks and estate gardens.
With an imposing portico, classic Georgian features and neat little window boxes, the Park Avenue J Hotel couldn;t be further from brutalism. Exuding character on the outside, and wrapping you in comfort on the inside, make sure you look for this hotel near Hyde Park, London.
The Brunswick
Brunswick centre was designed and opened in the 1960s, as a mixed development with an open shopping precinct complete with cinema and residential accommodation above. Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, and surrounded by rows of Georgian houses,  in true brutalist tradition The Brunswick completely excludes its local environment and dominates the environment with its bold straight edges.
National Theatre
Completed and opened in 1976, it received a mixed reception and Prince Charles famously said that it “looks like a nuclear power station”. Today the National Theatre is a must-see attraction for theatre lovers and those strolling along the Southbank. As much of a giant concrete sculpture as it is a building, the brutalist credentials of the National Theatre are strong. With its expressive and extravagant exterior and cave-like interior, it has a fort-like appearance made more notable by its presence on the bank of the Thames.
The Park Avenue J Hotel gives you the comfort, convenience and calm needed to make your stay memorable and convenient. Hotels near Bayswater, London are perfectly situated to support your visits to all of London’s top attractions and with restaurants near Hyde Park, what better way to start and end each day than with a quality dining experience.
Alexandra Road Estate
Located in Camden, the estate is home to arguably the best example of Brutalist architecture in the whole of London, maybe even the UK.
Aesthetically, the estate is striking and features unique concrete block symmetry and imposing facades. With bold linear angles everywhere you look, it’s a fascinating place to stroll around and sure to be like no other housing estate you’ll ever visit.
Get started on your planning for a trip around London’s brutalist buildings with accommodation near Hyde Park in London.

London's Prettiest Picnic Spots (And Where to Buy Food Nearby)
01 of 05
Regent’s Park
Pawel Libera/Getty Images
Where to picnic: There are plenty of snacking spots in Regent's Park, a 410-acre former hunting ground of Henry VIII. Shoot the breeze by the boating lake, pick a fragrant patch by Queen Mary's Gardens, home to 30,000 roses or find a secluded spot by St John's Lodge, a private residence with a small public garden that can only be accessed by a hidden gate.
Where to shop for food: Head to nearby Marylebone High Street to pick up artisan cheese from La Fromagerie, Scotch eggs and meat pies from the Ginger Pig and tasty pastries from Patisserie Des Reves. If you're picnicking on a Sunday, make your way to the Marylebone Farmer's Market to stock up fresh juices from Chegworth Valley and freshly baked bread from the Old Post Office Bakery.
02 of 05
Primrose Hill
Matthew Williams-Ellis/Getty Images
Where to picnic: On the north side of Regent's Park, leafy Primrose Hill offers fantastic views of the London skyline from its summit which is more than 60 meters above sea level. Head up to the protected viewpoint and take in London landmarks including the London Eye, the Shard and the BT Tower. The park is a popular spot for picnics, kite-flying and celeb spotting (local celebrity residents include Jamie Oliver and Cara Delevingne).
Where to shop for food: If you're heading to Primrose Hill from the Camden/Chalk Farm area, swing by Shepherd Foods on Regent's Park Road, an independent family-run grocery store. This posh deli stocks all the key picnic items like fresh bread, cheese, meats and booze. There's also an impressive American snack section where you can stock up on things like graham crackers and Snyders pretzels. You could also consider grabbing a dish from one of the many food stalls at Camden Market however you'd be wise to buy something cold as you'll be walking for at least 15 minutes. For budget buys head to the large Morrisons Supermarket on Chalk Farm Road.
03 of 05
Hyde Park
Pawel Libera/London and Partners
Where to picnic: Bordered by Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Notting Hill, it's no surprise that Hyde Park is one of London's busiest parks. When the sun shines, you'll see Londoners taking part in all manner of summertime pursuits including inline skating and swimming in the Serpentine Lido. The park is spread over 350 acres so it's easy to find a patch of grass on which to picnic although you can expect large crowds on warm, sunny days. Some of the prettiest spots include the Rose Garden in the south east corner of the park, the Italian Garden near Bayswater and the Diana Memorial Fountain by the Serpentine Lake, a great option if you're picnicking with young kids.
Where to shop for food: Your food options will likely be determined by the gate you use to enter Hyde Park. On the Knightsbridge side you could pick up gourmet treats at Harrods food hall or some Lebanese deli dishes at Noura. In Kensington the Whole Foods store on Kensington High Street covers all picnic bases and in Bayswater you can pick up sandwiches, pies and cheese and meat platters at the Bathurst Deli.
04 of 05
St James’s Park
Dukes London
Where to picnic: It may be small but St James's Park is perfectly formed. Sandwiched between Buckingham Palace and the Horse Guards Parade, this regal garden is home to a pretty lake where pelicans roam free. Throw a blanket down on either side of the lake or rent a deck chair for a few hours.
Where to shop for food: For a luxury treat, Dukes Hotel can arrange for a butler to deliver a bottle of champagne and a picnic hamper packed full of British produce like Loch Duart salmon, cheeses and chutney, straight to your blanket in the park. Or you could put together your own spread from Sourced Market on Buckingham Palace Road. The grocery store is modeled on a farmer's market and stocks seasonal food (bread, cheese, meats, beer) from independent producers across Britain.
Continue to 5 of 5 below.
05 of 05
Greenwich Park
Pawel Libera/London and Partners
Where to picnic: Work up an appetite with a pre-picnic stroll up to the top of the park to take in the stunning views of the London skyline. From the Royal Observatory you can peer over Canary Wharf, the river Thames and the iconic O2 centre. Drop back down the grass verge a little and throw down a blanket to make the most of the London vistas. On your way back down, take a walk around the National Maritime Museum and the Old Royal Naval College, both part of the Greenwich Maritime World Heritage Site. For a quieter spot consider heading to the pretty Rose Garden on the eastern side of the park. The roses are in full bloom in June and July.
Where to shop for food: Greenwich Market features an impressive array of food stalls from which you can stock up on picnic produce. Highlights include homemade dim sum from La-Mian, vegan cakes from Rubys of London and southern sandwiches from Pig Dogs and Brisket. For traditional sandwiches and drinks there's an M&S Simply Food store at Cutty Sark Station. After picnicking and taking in the views, finish the day with a pint at the Old Brewery, a craft beer pub with a huge outdoor terrace.

It was Good Monday – a public holiday in Australia when I did the walking adventure on Sydney Beaches. Its holiday, another opportunity for me, so I grab my chance on that holiday to come back again to Sydney. This time, I spent two days and just in the city. I arrived Sunday morning and the next day I decided to visit Bondi Beach.
The only thing that I prepared before going out that day was how to get to Bondi. Most of the time, I traveled with a definite plan, but that day, I don’t even know what I am going to do once I reached the famous beach in Sydney. As far as I remembered, I only heard the name of the beach as there are TV shows in the country where the settings used is Bondi Beach.
I left my hotel at The Bayswater Sydney before lunch time which located at Kings Cross. It’s just few minutes walk to Kings Cross Station in T4 Line. I took the train to Bondi Junction, then I took bus 381 to Bondi Beach. I know there’s bus going directly to the beach, but I have to figure out which bus stop I should hop on the bus, so I decided the easiest route which is train.
Tumblr media
When I reached Bondi Junction station and walk towards the bus station, I realized that it’s a Bondi Bus Interchange where other bus, stops at the same station. I find it very convenient because people will not be confused which bus to take because each bus number has their assigned gate. So I bought the ticket in the junction and queue in the gate where Bus 381 docks to pick-up its passengers.
Bondi Beach
I reached Bondi Beach and I got-off in one of the bus stop along Campbell Parade. I looked at the surroundings and I like what I had seen so far. The people in the vicinity were still manageable, not to many and not too few. So I walked a bit along Campbell Parade to see what I can find along the road, and the result, I found the place refreshing and comforting. The road on the left side has shops, cafe or restaurants and other business establishments which adds appeal to the place, while the beach and the pavilion are located at the right side of the road.

Bondi Pavillion
Since it’s a beach, typical scenery were obvious, people were just lying in the sand enjoying the sun, some were just sitting in groups and talking together, some were enjoying the water by swimming and surfing, somewhere like me just wandering in the beach on a beautiful sunny day. I spent sometime in Bondi Beach and even walked around at the whole stretch of the shore so I can take different photos of the famous beach in different angle.

Bondi Beach from the start of walking trail
After loving my stroll around and appreciating the views of Bondi Beach, I continued my pace forward. Along the walking trail I just enjoyed the sea views that surrounds me. The walk was fascinating as the trail was not a lonely trail as there were other people does the same walk. Some did their normal walking as their working out routine, some were like tourist like me with their own cameras, some started their walks from the other directions towards Bondi so there’s counter flow in the trail. I felt admiration in the natures that I am witnessing while walking.

At the walking trail looking towards Tamarama Beach and Bronte Beach
Without any idea, how long my walk will be and what else I am going to see along the trail, my steps still never stops, maybe because I was so infatuated with the fantastic scenery that I am seeing and every time something beautiful to be seen, my eyes, my hand and my camera automatically synchronised in taking photos.
Tamarama Beach
Tumblr media
So my pace never stops and then I reached another beach, I can say that Australian loves water and most of them are great in waters. Though, if I live in Sydney, I will think the same outdoor activities. The beaches and shores are not far from the city. If you don’t have car, it’s not even a problem because it has strategic public transportation system that has in place, that’s why like me still able to reach such place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I stayed in the walking trail, I had been contented taking photos of Tamarama beach along the trail as the scenery were more appealing to me. I stopped from time to time to rest but most of the time to take photos.
Bronte Beach
Tumblr media
Bronte Beach is not far from Tamarama Beach, the two beaches are close to each other, so people who chose to swim or play around between these two has options to have both.
Tumblr media
Unlike Tamarama Beach, Bronte Beach is bigger and it has a pool in one side near rocky parts of the shore where both young and adults can enjoy.

Bond Ocean Pool or Bronte Baths
After passing Bronte’s beach, park and baths, my walks continues. The distance of Clovelly Beach from Bronte Beach is quite significant. But along the way there’s two interesting stuff that I had seen. First is Waverley Cemetery not far from the cliff. Second, I witnessed a Barefoot Bowl (Lawn Bowl) game. It’s bowling played in the grass ground and swinging the ball like in bowling indoor games but the target is to get closer to the jack – a smaller white ball.  I stayed for a bit to watch how the game was being played.

Clovelly Beach

As I was enjoying what I had seen so far in my walk, without realising that I reached Clovelly Beach. This beach has narrowest bay that I had seen in my walk and because of that, it has limited shore as its playground and the water looks deep as I had seen how the water gets darker even it’s not far from the sand. The beach has ocean pool or baths too similar to Bronte Beach just differ on its shape.

An Awe-inspiring scenery of Gordons Bay from the walking trail
How many beaches that I discovered? Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte and Clovelly Beach. And it seems my walk never ends. While my steps keeps moving forward, I am wondering if there will be an end in that walking trail. I felt the sun in my face and in my skin. I can feel the heat scorching in my body but everytime I saw amazing and inspiring scenery, how can I tell to myself to stop this walking adventure. In the trail, I had a glimpse of fantastic view of Gordons Bay. The water is so clear that I dreamt myself soaking underneath.

When I reached Gordons Bay, its different from what I am expecting. It is the smallest beach with quite treacherous shore where I found raised boardwalks and small boats which said to be from local fishing club reminiscing the European fishing village which is interesting.
Coogee Beach
Tumblr media
Before I reached the last beach for my walk, I strolled few more minutes from Gordons Bay. I passed a park at the top of the cliff which is part of the trail. Then, from a far, saw Coogee Beach. Like Bondi Beach its a busy one. I took time for photos before I decided to end my walk. Then, I felt tired and I felt hungry. My total time for the walk was around 4 hours for the walking distance which around 6kms. as I spent time taking photos and resting for a while to enjoy picturesque views of my surroundings.

When I got full, again, I inquired where will I find the bus stop going back to Bondi Junction and after that, I walked straight to the bus stop. Waited for the incoming bus and then I found myself in Bondi Junction. From the junction, I took the train going to Circular Quay station for my next activity, though I was uncertain on the plan because of the timing, still the next adventure happened.

What to See in London on a One Day Tour
Tumblr media
There’s so much to see and do in London that you must maximise your visit and see as much as possible. If you’re staying in one of the hotels near Queensway, London and only have one day to dedicate to sightseeing, here are some of the top places you need to visit in order to get the most out of your stay.
1. The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben
London isn’t a city of skyscrapers and instead has one of the most unique and dynamic skylines in the UK, with one of the defining features being the Palace of Westminster, better known as the Houses of Parliament. Adjoined to this iconic building is Big Ben, the clock tower that can be found on depictions of London all around the world.
If you’re in London and want to see all the iconic landmarks in one day, make sure you start here as this is arguably the top tourist hotspot in the city and will not disappoint.
2. Buckingham Palace
Great Britain is famous for many things, but the royal family tops the list. Whilst there are palaces all around the UK that the Queen stays at, her main residence is Buckingham Palace. It’s just a short distance from the Houses of Parliament and hotels on Bayswater Road, London, making it easy to slot into your itinerary for the day.
3. St. Paul’s Cathedral
Another defining feature of the London skyline is St. Paul’s Cathedral, known for its iconic dome. It’s more than 1,400 years old and is placed atop the highest point in the City of London, Ludgate Hill. The cathedral has been witness to two world wars, many battles, and more monarchs that we can count. It’s steeped in history and is an absolute must-see to anyone visiting London for a day. It’s also exceptionally close to Park Avenue Bayswater Inn Hyde Park, meaning you can spend less time travelling and more time exploring this great Anglican cathedral.
4. The Tower of London
For bloody tales and a glimpse at the Crown Jewels, make sure you visit the Tower of London. It is a sight behold amid the modern buildings that surround it, but from 1078 onwards, this has been a royal fortress tasked with protecting London and the reigning monarch. The lively tour guides put on an excellent performance and are brimming with knowledge on the gruesome history of the castle, and you can see the world-famous ravens who have been at the tower for hundreds of years.
5. Oxford Street
For something a bit more laid back and modern, hit up Oxford Street, London’s shopping hub. There are over 300 shops for you to peruse, not to mention the multiple restaurants and pubs that also line this famous street. If you’re looking to get a souvenir or simply indulge in some retail therapy after a busy day of sightseeing, this is the place to go.
You don’t need to worry about carrying heavy bags – there is plenty of accommodation near Oxford Street which serves as the perfect home base to retreat to after your jam-packed one-day tour of London.

Best Districts To Visit In West London
Tumblr media
For anyone who has stayed at accommodation Bayswater Inn Hyde Park before, you’ll know that West London isn’t just one district, but an amalgamation of dozens. With each area of West London characterized by distinct architectures, histories and therefore personalities, there’s a lot to see and do in just this quarter of the city.
After all, London is over 1500 square kilometer's large, and with 249 miles of London Underground lines serving the city, seeing it all in one trip simply isn’t possible. If you’re a newcomer to the city staying at the many hotels near the District Line, it’s a good move to compartmentalize a tourist trip to London by distinguishing between the different districts. Once you’ve mapped out the ones that interest you, you’ll be ready to start planning your holiday.
This blog plans to outline some of the tourist-friendly districts of West London so that you can plan your visit to hotels near Paddington Station accordingly.
Notting Hill
The titular setting of the famous Hugh Grant film, Notting Hill is a key district of the city that hosts the yearly Afro-Caribbean celebrating Notting Hill Carnival every August Bank Holiday and has a weekly market that all London tourists have at least heard about. Portobello Market is based on Portobello Road, lined with colourful houses and boutique independent shops. Every weekend, the market opens up and showcases antiques, furnishings and vintage clothes that are as photogenic as they are great value for money.
Chiswick
This leafy area of West London incorporates grand suburbs and royally historic parks including Kew Gardens and Chiswick House and Gardens. Make sure to take a walk along the banks of the Thames here, where you can enjoy beautiful strolls and ancient London pubs.
Paddington
Made famous by Michael Bond’s migrant Peruvian bear as well as a certain famous detective, Paddington is a central West district that hosts the tourist hub of Baker Street as well as the beautiful canal walks of Little Venice. Full of Victorian charm, Paddington’s tourist staples include Madame Tussaud’s wax museum and a Sherlock Holmes Museum on the Baker Street premises where the sleuth would have lived.
Richmond
Way out west is Richmond, an affluent suburb of West London that is made famous by Richmond Park. With beautiful walks available around what was once a deer hunting park established by King Charles I, Richmond Park can be viewed in all its glory from the hill of Ham House beside the Thames.
Sloane Square And Chelsea
Another central West London mainstay that’s a must for nearby guests at accommodation near Royal Albert Hall, Sloane Square and the nearby Kings Road are a tourist haven thanks to the famous and revolutionary Royal Court Theatre and the nearby Saatchi Gallery that hosts some of the most famous contemporary artists in the world.
South Kensington
Home to Exhibition Roads holy trinity of museums, South Kensington is a perfect destination for families visiting London. With the Natural History Museum showcasing specimens straight from Charles Darwin’s studies and the hands-on science experiments and demonstrations available at the Science Museum, you should probably rest those gallery legs before attempting the Victoria & Albert Museum of Design. There’s a lot to dig into when it comes to museums in South Kensington, and if the purse strings are tight on your London holiday, you’ll be pleased to know that all three museums permanent exhibitions are free to visit.

The Best Terraces in London for Outdoor Dining
Tumblr media
No matter where in London you’re staying, you can be fairly sure that when the sun comes out, restaurants and cafes will do what they can to offer outdoor seating. As you walk by the restaurants near Hyde Park, and the hotels near Bayswater London with onsite dining options and bars, you will notice bistro tables, umbrellas, and even the odd roof terrace opening up to give guests some extra space to enjoy their drinks and meals.
But rather than sending you on your own hunt, past the hotels of Hyde Park London and further into the city, we thought it was time we created a go-to guide to the best terraces in London.
Eataly’s Famous Terrace
As you step outside of London Liverpool Street Station, the first building you will see to the left of the exit is Eataly – a magnanimous Italian produce store, filled with the finest wines, meats, and treats from the country, alongside cafes, bars, and restaurants serving all manner of fresh produce and baked goods.
The outside terrace may back onto the main road past the station, but the attention to detail and delicate decoration makes it feel like your very own little Italian oasis – supported with Aperol branded carts, plenty of greenery, and of course some delicious cocktails that help transport your mind to Italian vineyards.
Davies and Brook at Claridge’s
This is one for those who are staying in accommodation near Hyde Park London – as the popular Claridge’s terrace is just a short walk South of Hyde Park towards Mayfair. And if you find the walk through the busy London streets a little daunting then just know that what awaits you at the other side is well worth the step count.
Far from just offering a high end outdoor seating option, Davies and Brook is actually a restaurant with a Michelin star making it one of the best places in the area for a delicious meal – the menu using seasonal and local ingredients as much as possible.
London’s Zoo’s terraced restaurant
If you’re a family group and want to combine an al fresco meal with a family-friendly experience, then look no further than London Zoo’s own restaurant – which boasts an expansive terrace overlooking the main area of the zoo.
Sushi Samba
Another one close to Liverpool Street Station, Sushi Samba is popular with couples, corporate dinners, celebrations and more – with its high-up terrace offering spectacular views over London as you enjoy your meal. Sat at the 39th floor, the panoramic viewpoint is matched only by that at the Sky Garden which, a few minutes’ walk away from Sushi Samba, boasts its own inside-outside bar space for those seeking the perfect view over the city.
From fine dining to family friendly experiences and days out, when the sun shines in London you should make the most of it – jumping straight to the closest terrace or outdoor bistro table you can find. And with so many options available to you, topping up your tan over a cocktail has never been easier.
