A week ago October 26
"My father has died."
You gazed in sheer horror at Maki's words, as she stood at your doorstep. Everything in your mind blanked out as you struggled to grasp the meaning behind her jarring words.
You could only utter an almost inaudible "Huh?"
Yet Zen'in Maki didn't seem like a daughter mourning the loss of her father. She looked like she had just won a war with how she stood tall, all with her scars and burns. And yet―
"Oh, and my sister too," she quickly added, looking away, and you could finally see the trace of grief in her voice. "Naoya has destroyed everything."
Somehow it was still hard for you to imagine that the whole Zen'in clan was now in tatters. You blinked, stuttering. "He did? How did he―"
Maki told you everything. It had started from a heated argument instigated by Naoya to demand his claim, but since Ogi wouldn't entertain him, things escalated into a gruesome fight that ended with his head rolling off.
Over the span of one night, he massacred several other clansmen, along with Maki's sister, Mai. Now, the Zen'in clan was without a head and forced into submission by him.
"Sena, I'm telling you this because he'll go after Fushiguro next," Maki's voice was firm and unwavering, and it made you almost recoil. "Having my father gone isn't so bad―I have had enough of him, but Naoya is still on his delusional rampage."
"Megumi won't come back to that place," you firmly stated. "Naoya can have it all by this point, why is he still looking for him?"
"He's now beyond reason. He will seek him out himself if he doesn't come."
After Maki left you with that warning, you were still reeling. This was such an abrupt change of situation, and you knew you had expected facing Naoya in the end, but you thought you'd have more time to think.
Now one thing was clear: Megumi was in danger. A grave one.
October 28
Days with Megumi felt like light rain shower to Hana.
Domestic and cozy. She knew she was here just to cure his sister, yet the friendship that had blossomed between them felt just right.
"Please look after Tsumiki for me," Megumi said plainly, getting ready to leave the hospital. "I'm heading out for a mission."
She gave him a heartfelt smile. "Oh yes, as always, of course."
"Thank you."
Watching him go past the door, Hana smiled until the door sealed shut. Then she turned to the sleeping Tsumiki. She looked as peaceful as always, and the curse mark on her forehead had started to unravel too. Good, she did a great job then. It was taking a while, but Tsumiki was slowly and surely on the path of recovery.
It caused her spirits to deflate a bit, knowing that after this arrangement, she would have to part ways with Megumi, as there were no ties binding them together.
It was times like this that she envied you.
Tidying the hospital room and changing the wilted flowers with fresh ones, Hana easily considered this her comfort space. Everything was curated to how she liked it. She thought she would be having a slow day today, until a frenzied knock on the door startled her.
She couldn't fathom who the visitor could be until she warily opened the door and saw you.
. . .
You had anticipated Megumi to be the one opening the door, until it wasn't.
"Can I help you?" the girl in front of you asked hesitantly, seemingly puzzled. Your breath caught, as you realized that this was most likely Kurusu Hana the curse breaker―also the witness to your divorce.
"Is Megumi here?" you asked calmly, trying to even your heartbeats. No. You couldn't be petty against this woman. Your business was with Megumi, you couldn't get her in the crossfire―
But all that thoughts flew over your head when she retorted, "Why are you trying to find him?"
"I have to talk to him," you responded, still trying to be calm. Okay, no, she couldn't possibly be anything more than divorce witness. Megumi wasn't the type to―
Once again, your thoughts blanked when she replied, "He's out. Maybe I can leave your message to me and I'll inform him later?"
Something about her tone didn't sit that well with you. It was as if she was trying to show you that she was the one in charge... of what, exactly?
You had come to inform Megumi about Naoya's doing. It was as simple as that. Even though you knew that he most probably wouldn't give two shits regarding Zen'in anymore, you just had to make sure.
But seeing another woman in the doorstep, knowing that he spent most of his time with her now that you weren't around... yeah, you couldn't deny that it hurt you.
"Then, please give him this."
You handed the brown envelop to Hana with your jaw held high. Maybe Megumi was right after all, you had a talent to become an actress as your voice didn't even waver. "I've signed the divorce papers. Please let him know to proceed as he sees fit."
Hana appeared taken aback, evident from her widened eyes, but you continued. "Oh, and I've moved out of the apartment too. He can come back. Please tell him that I'm also grateful that he let me stay for this long."
"That's―"
"And one last thing... This is important, and please don't forget to tell him this."
You stared at Kurusu Hana squarely in the eyes, not even flinching as she blinked at you in total silence. "Don't let him come to Zen'in compound on October 31."
She frowned. "What do you mean? October 31? What's happening―"
"That's not for you to know," you interjected with precision, steel in your voice. "Just don’t let him go there, please."
Hana remained silent for a few moments before asking, "Are you... really going through with the divorce?"
"I don't appreciate you delving into our affairs," you spat in response. By now, you truly struggled to contain your own emotions—the hurt, the realization, the mere fact that she was here at all. "Just tell him what I just told you. You're an outsider. And since you've volunteered to inform him when he gets back later, then just do it."
And Hana seemed a bit offended by your snappy tone, but she chose to keep her mouth shut.
You bowed your head a little. "Well, then. Thank you. Have a good day."
As you spun around and stomped away from Tsumiki's room, that was when you finally let your facade crack. Biting your lower lip in frustration, your eyes watered once again.
How could he... get so cozy with her not long after you, just like that? Hana was talking as if she owned the place. It irked you, but above all, you felt so hurt that you wondered if what you were doing now was worth it at all.
But yes. You reassured yourself of the fact, because even if you weren't doing this for Megumi, then you definitely were still doing this for your own sake.
Zen'in Naoya was on your hitlist, and you were determined to see it through, even if it was the last thing you'd do.
When Megumi got back to the hospital later that afternoon, he had noticed how strange Hana was.
"Did something happen?" he inquired with a frown.
"Oh, no... not really," she winced, seemingly uncomfortable with the question, but she quickly covered her strange expression with a smile. "Anyway, how was your mission?"
If he were to be honest, he would prefer if Hana didn't get too friendly with him, despite everything. Maybe it was his quiet nature, or whatever, but he liked to be left alone.
"It went alright."
It was when he glanced at the table that he noticed it. The divorce papers he had left in your desk at the headquarters were there, and his initial reaction was the sinking feeling in his heart.
"Why are these here?" he snapped almost instantly, asking Hana for clarification. "Has Sena come here?"
"Oh? Oh, yeah..." it was evident that she was flustered, but she quickly blinked her surprise away. "She dropped by to give these for you."
"Did she say anything else?"
"Oh yeah... she said... she has moved out of the apartment."
That, he didn't expect. You had moved out? Where? Where did you go?
It had been two weeks since he last saw you, and the feeling of betrayal was still there, gnawing at his soul. And yet, to see you really agreeing with the divorce he pulled out of impulse and and moving out of his place made it all feel undeniably real.
Deep in his hearts, he knew that he had been bantering back-and-forth with himself. Heck, ever since that horrid reveal about this marriage, he felt like he lost a sense of himself. He shouldn't, but it was hard not to.
He was about to return to his place―with futile hope to find you, perhaps, when his phone rang in his pocket. Yuji was calling him.
"Hello, Itadori? Uh, yeah... sure..."
He was called back to the headquarters for a follow-up mission. Megumi mildly cursed under his breath after ending the call.
"Are you going again?" Hana questioned in a hurry, and it made him turn to her.
"Yeah, I must go―"
"Whatever you do, don't get near Zen'in's family home."
He raised an eyebrow at her sudden statement. "Why?"
She stuttered. "Just... don't. I've heard... there are just some things happening there. It'd do you better to stay away from them."
When Megumi reflected on this moment a few days later, he would realize that her behavior had been quite strange. However, in the heat of the moment, he didn't dwell on it much as his main focus shifted to his sudden mission.
October 31
His mission had taken him three days to sort out, with him and Itadori staking out at the site, and by the time he was finished, Megumi was at his wits end.
He was exhausted and only just now was he able to really go back to his apartment the first time ever since he left you here.
His place was so empty it felt jarring. The fact that the two of you used to live here not too long ago was bittersweet, especially when he saw the little pots of cactus he planted across the living room had all withered.
Megumi entered almost reluctantly, as with each step, the sting of pain in his chest intensified. He really did love you. And more often than not he found himself thinking why everything had to go this way.
Everything was left neat and tidy. You must have cleaned the place before you left. Megumi traversed through the living and dining areas before finding himself in what was initially his bedroom—the one you both had shared for the past two months.
No creases on the bedsheet, no more of your clothes hanging or cosmetics on the table. What remained was… a folded paper?
He had never jerked so fast in his life—he immediately unfolded it and could barely read.
Dear Megumi, How are you? Are you doing well?Ah, you must be still mad at me. I can’t really fault you for that though. If I were you, I wouldn’t take being played by someone who claims to love you lightly too. I know how you feel, or at least, tried to . . .
Was this the right thing? Despite making this decision yourself, you couldn’t lie and say that you were wholeheartedly sure.
“Hara Sena— do you really wish to die?!”
All you know was blind rage when you saw Zen’in Naoya’s face.
He cackled, almost wheezing, while mocking you entirely. Your anger simmered, steadily rising, reaching a boiling point with certainty and intensity.
“Ah, this is too funny!” he wiped a tear out of his eyes, his cackles receded into huffs of barks. “Who are you to think that you can stand a chance against me? Me?”
You didn’t entertain his question. “How can you be so shameless about everything you have done?”
He burst into unhinged laughter once again.
“What’s there to shame? I can say that I’m proud while at it—”
"You murdered your own kin!" you cut, looking at him almost in disbelief, clenching your fists to keep them from trembling. "And yet... you stand there so proud. It's delusional."
"What I did―heh, I'd even go as far as saying that it's my greatest achievement yet. It’s beyond your comprehension, sadly.” Naoya threw his hands and sneered. “I wouldn't expect bastards like you or Fushiguro to understand.”
You scoffed. Talking to a wall never works, huh.
"What is sad is that you would go this far for... what? A clan of ruins?” you taunted, a derisive smile on your face. “Who is even left here? This is no achievement. You're just crazy.”
For a second, you could see that that smug grin falter, twitched even, before he hardened it with a manic grin.
“Say that again, woman—”
“You can pretend all you want, and glorify your delusional self while at it, but it won't matter.” You didn’t flinch, despite how intense the pounding of your heart was. “Today, you will lose, Zen'in Naoya.”
And that sealed your fate. Today is the day it ends.
I tried to, but I’m also hurt, you know?
Megumi sprinted, bolting out of his apartment with pure terror. He had to, for the chance to find you was slipping with each second. After reading that letter, he realized just how messed up everything was.
I have thought many, many times about when you were going to find out the truth. I know the worst is that you wouldn’t believe me, but I really thought we could part in better terms than this.
What you did hurt him too, that’s true, and it was hard for him to forgive you. He couldn't ignore that reality.
Because I trusted you. I trusted you wholeheartedly when you said that you would stay with me. I thought that, maybe, even if we can no longer be together, at the very least you wouldn’t just go and leave me with a little to say for myself. Because that’s what I’d do if our positions were reversed.
But you trusted him. Until the end, until the moment you decided to sign the papers and moved out.
Something within him plummeted and shattered. He had really lost sight of the bigger things. Halfway through, he naively thought it had ended with him going away.
No, it hasn’t ended. He had overlooked one monumental aspect.
But I’m not you. And ultimately, I’m still in the wrong, and it’s hard to explain myself because I know it. No matter how much I try to justify myself, it’s still not enough. Because when I first started out, it was indeed my intention to use you.
Now, it didn’t matter that much. Not when he realized what you were about to do.
But, Megumi, there’s one truth in our relationship—even when there are many lies in it. That truth transcends all, and it’s this: I love you. I really do. Even now as I’m writing this, I still do.
Each breath he took, it scorched his lungs. Megumi thought he had known what heartbreak was like. But no, he didn’t really. Not until now.
In the short time we were together, I was the happiest. I love living with you. I love going through the day with you. Thank you for letting me know what love feels like.
Damn it. If something were to happen to you now, after this—
And I wish you the best. It hurts me to know, but if it's Kurusu Hana, then I only hope that this time, it's your own choice. This might be the last you're going to hear from me. I'm going to settle my debt with Zen'in Naoya. If you ever read this... one thing I ask from you is that don't find me. Let this be where it ends. With me.
"Idiot, you're an idiot!" he harshly grunted under his breath. How was it that you had asked him not to find you when he knew what you were doing?
Now it all made sense. October 31. The duel. Zen'in family home. Hana's warning. You were the one who told her that.
His chest constricted, the muscles in his legs had started to ache, and he was losing breath. But he pressed on. Megumi had to get to you, before it was too late.
Your innate technique wasn't made for front lines.
Despite your father's pride―which you had long considered misplaced―your family's innate technique, in your and Naoya's eyes, were quite unhelpful, or useless even.
You couldn't even feel your lower body as you laid there on the hard ground, gurgling and tasting your own blood in your mouth.
"Now you see?" Naoya curled his lip in satisfaction, looking down on you with that disdainful eyes of his, once again believing he was far superior than you. "You have no chance against me, Sena. If Fushiguro can't, what makes you think you might have a shot, huh?"
True, he didn't even have a single scratch in his body. You stood no chance against him. Did you know that?
As a matter of fact, you did.
"What a pitiful sight you are," he uttered, firmly planting his feet on your chest, and a broken whimper escaped you. "Just die already."
When will this end? You had to wait out, or else— or else, you were doing all of this for nothing.
"This is the exact expression that whore you call a mother had too," Naoya suddenly retorted, prompting you to open your eyes in response.
Your mother. In her last moments, was she in this much pain too, because of him?
The thought made your rage boil once again. You gritted your teeth together. "You... b-bastard—!"
"Hah? What?" He dug his heels in your broken ribs and you whimpered, spitting out blood.
You didn't know how much longer you were going to be able to withstand this pain. Everything in your body was broken at this point. You are quite literally dying.
You thought you had accepted this. You figured that since you had nothing left, dying wouldn't be that bad, surely.
"Hmph, boring." Suddenly he kicked you and you rolled several ways from him, wincing in absolute agony. Naoya turned his back on you, walking away with deliberate loud steps.
He gestured at the cloth of his hakama. "You're going to dirty my clothes. Since you're going to die anyway, I'll be here to watch you."
Mad. Truly mad. You couldn't think of any other word aside of that to describe the Zen'in spawn. He was the craziest of all people you had ever met, had ever imagined you could encounter in this shitty life.
"I'm curious though, why are you here? Fushiguro would never ask you." Naoya regarded your form with narrowed eyes. "Is this love? Are you afraid that he'd die by my hand that you willingly went in his stead?"
"N-no..." you immediately replied in disdain. "You... h-have—"
"You are not making sense," he shrugged, shoulders shaking with laughter. "Ah, that's why. Love is the most useless of all. That love got you dying now, hmm?"
There was no need to entertain him. You unclenched your fist slowly, your fingers twisting in weird angle after Naoya broke them—but you readied yourself.
Just a little bit longer...
"If only from the very beginning, if you would just agree to be my wife instead of making a fool out of me—"
A bit... just a little bit more...
"—then perhaps, you'd be living the honored life as my wife—" he kept continuing with a stream of words that didn't quite register in your mind. Nevertheless, you remained fixated on the movement of your fingers.
"But you just had to go and drag that washed-up bastard to my doorstep, conspiring with that senile man and Gojo, and where does it get you now—"
Now.
"And your most moronic act is coming here, thinking that—hrrgk!"
Suddenly Naoya toppled over, clutching his throat, his breath coming in gasps. "W-what—"
A cruel smile curled on your lips, seeing the frightened look on his face. "I'm... telling you... you're going to... die today, Zen'in Naoya."
"W-what— did you do to me—!" Naoya squared on you with fury shining in his eyes. "You— wench!"
You kept your silence, closing your eyes. You felt tired. It was so tempting to go to sleep.
"Whore! You—bitch—urrgk!"
As the air slowly left his lungs, Naoya finally gained clarity. Your fingers. A hand sign...?
You had waited for this moment. For the very second he no longer pinned you and you had the freedom of the use of your hands.
It struck him like a bolt of lightning. Hara clan's cursed technique.
Manipulation of air density.
You were slowly choking him to death.
. . . It was somewhat of an irony, that you depended on your cursed technique in the end. For you who had always considered and known that your clan was a second-rate, believing that you hated yourself for being born with this cursed technique and made your mother suffer, you never really took pride in possessing this.
And yet today, you bet it all on this talent of yours. To finally make things right again.
You tuned out the rest of Naoya's last words. You only opened your eyes when you heard him thud to the ground, all pallid and blue.
A weight in your chest dissipated. You did it. You had avenged your mother, and perhaps, if the Gods were finally kind to you, after this you might be able to see her too...?
Regardless, now you could rest in peace, content with leaving everything behind.
And yet, despite thinking so, you couldn't help but to turn back to those days with Megumi, doing mundane things normal people did. Eating together, going on dates, his smile, laugh— you would never get to see him again, and that fact brought a tear to your eyes.
The only boy you ever loved. In this life, and in any potential other lives, you would undoubtedly wish to meet him again too.
The only consolation you had now was that, by doing this, you had also fulfilled your end of the binding vow with Gojo.
"How unfortunate, and now you're dragging Megumi into this? What's it in for me and him?"
This is it. You have no other way and even this is also your last resort. To save your mother and yourself, you must drag an innocent soul into this complicated mess. Fushiguro Megumi is going to take a part in your game of survival, and you will make sure that he won't be just a mere sacrificial pawn.
"I believe the Zen'in has been bothering you quite a lot too, all these years," you met Gojo's eyes calmly, hiding your fear. "If you can install Fushiguro Megumi in Zen'in clan, wouldn't that be easier?"
"Well, well, you seem to know your way around here, yeah?" Gojo threw you a tight smile, visibly amused. "I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say that I don't want to do away with them, but Megumi? Do you realize what you're implying?"
"What if I told you that I can definitely remove Zen'in Naoya from the equation?"
"How?"
"From what I've heard, only a handful of the clansmen favor him."
"It's not going to be that easy, Sena-chan. You're going to put his life in danger."
"That's what I'm proposing to you. I will not let them harm him."
Gojo let out a scoff. "Two conditions for one in return? Aren't you getting desperate? Are you sure it won't be easier if you just resign yourself to a life with the Zen'ins?"
"No." You bit your lip. "My mother would rather die than seeing me being married off to that misogynist, and my father would continue locking her up if I refuse this marriage with the Zen'ins."
After pondering for a while, Gojo agreed with your proposition. To make sure that you'd be staying true to your convictions and he'd get Megumi instated as a part of Zen'in clan, he pulled you into an unbreakable vow.
"In exchange of Fushiguro Megumi becoming a part of Zen'in clan, Hara Sena would remove Zen'in Naoya from the succession war, and at the same time, ensure his safety."

I've Caught Up With Wandee Goodday, and here are some cons and pros (aka, am I ever burnt out on GMMTV)
HELLO. I'm back temporarily from my summer travels (before I travel again!). I was in Thailand! I should have brought a box of chappals to chuck at the GMMTV building for where Wandee Goodday has gone. Anyway, I need to process my thoughts on this show, so here we go. (And I apologize, I have NOT looked at the tag for this show, so I don't know if I'm repeating what other people are saying here.)
PROS
CONS
1) This show had so much brainrot potential! Remember the first, like, four episodes? Potential homophobia in multiple workplaces? Delicious bisexuality? Ace storylines??? Wandee's PUTZ deception and manipulation? Yak going along with it, why?? There was a lot going on here, a lot we could have chewed on.
I've been sitting on my historical review of Golf Tanwarin's The Eclipse for my Old GMMTV Challenge for about two months now because I can't get over how pissed I was that that show took some unnecessary, and frankly insensible, turns in part to showcase the damn center ship of First and Khao. I don't think Golf's WG has taken similar turns specifically to center the GreatInn ship, per se -- I just think the writing got messy and lazy right before WG's midpoint in general, and punched a lot of the excitement I had about the show right before I paused around episode 8.
Wandee Goodday is an EXCELLENT example of how Thailand's hourlong QL dramas could be made INCREDIBLY more impactful, by way of forced editing and clarity, if Thailand could follow Japan's suit by making 10- to 12-episode series with 30-minute episodes.
The Dr. Ter storyline was over before it actually, really ended, in, what episode was that, 9 or 10. It was over! Why drag it out? In Japan, that storyline would have been two episodes, mayyybe three, MAX. Shirasu Jin was barely in Kieta Hatsukoi for an episode before he was banished. Takeda Kouhei barely made it through two episodes of Minato's Laundromat 2 before he went bye bye! We don't need these middling dudes. There was enough happening with Dee and Yak to not need this Ter shit! Sorry, LOVE YOU PODD, but Ter was made irrelevant so early on, and then they actually had to work together on a huge case?! And NOW HE'S CHEESING ON TAEM? Like, no. We don't need this.
2) There's still a lot of confusion and conflict between Dee and Yak by last week's episode 11. Dee's got issues receiving love! This is big.
(By the way. Showing Dee ONE video of his parents cheesing on him as a newborn is NOT THE WAY to explain away future parental neglect as an older child. YIKES.)
I love that Yak wants to invest in Dee, and we do see Dee doing a lot of reciprocating there to Yak, but this parental neglect reveal, along with still not knowing enough about the back story of Dee's parents dying, is out of order and not helpful to me getting enough knowledge about Dee for me to feel a holistic sympathy towards him. This makes me wonder if romance is really Golf Tanwarin's bag: if Golf didn't have to focus so much on the DeeYak/YakDee romance, could we have gotten better emotional representations of these guys, gotten a better picture of WHO THEY ARE, before they got into each other? Maybe? I dunno.
3) Considering that homophobia in systems seems to be a theme that Golf is interested in, why did the show drop Yak's concern about being out vis à vis his boxing career? Showing up at the hospital early on, in front of Ter's people, was already a big risk that wasn't given consideration; and now Dee's gone ahead and put the big pre-match smooch on full display by episode 11! I know Yak's gone full tilt for Dee, but I think we needed to put a bow on Yak's early macro-level concerns about being out for that loop to be closed.
[I feel like I have similar concerns here about 23.5 as well, so I'd like GMMTV to know (REMEMBER BAD BUDDY????) that you can have romance and big social commentary in a show at the same time without sacrificing lovely, intimate moments. Neither 23.5 nor Wandee Goodday needed to scrap heavy emotional moments for social media memeable clickbait.]
TL;DR this show, this script, could have been so good, there was so much there by way of storylines.
ANY FUCKING WAY.
PROS
1)
I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS SHOW WENT HERE WITH THOR. THIS IS DISSONANCE, THIS IS CONFUSING! THIS IS MAGNIFICENT.
And the follow-up scene with the FABULOUS Fluke Nattanon. Fucking Thor. He's so good. They're so wasted in this show!
2) Great Sapol and Inn Sarin. There's a con here: the elephant pants do nothing for Great's butt. But otherwise, Great, and Inn as well, are DELIGHTS. THEY ARE GOOD ACTORS. They are wasted on this script. I hope they never work together on a GMMTV show again. If they're ever paired again (which I hope they're NOT, down with the ships), I hope they can get cast in a big ol' queer lakorn, à la JamFilm, and escape the need for the meme moments.
The thing is, about Wandee Goodday, is that if you admit you're into the show FOR THE DUDES, then I get why this show is watchable (AND IT'S WHY I'M FINISHING IT, GODDAMNIT), because the actual intimate moments ARE lovely. They're just not coherent with everything that we should know about these guys by the end of a series, and that makes me sad.
Anyway, this show ends this week, and that's it! I wish GMMTV's shop had had the WG items in stock when I was there in person; fuck these shipping fees, I want the Phadetseuk shirt so bad! If I had known this would be a kind of light and fluffy watch, I would have set my expectations WAAAYYY differently, and I would have likely had a better time watching this. As it stands now, I'm better suited to enjoy the finale, so I'm glad I got these complaints out of my system, and I'll say sayonara to all these dudes in full ogle mode later this week.

Bad Liar ch. 18

Chapter 18
Wishing upon a shooting star
Now and Forever
Time was a funny concept.
After the incident with Vision and Agatha, the world continued its slow travelled into a new year and the normality of life. But for you and your family, it became a painfully slow process in which you had to face many decisions and harsh realities. In the last couple of days, you had tried to make everything work, you made sure not only America but Wanda and the twins had the support they needed to continue on, while also dealing with the legal affairs involving Vision.
Everything had been a part of your life and how you were building up from scratch what had been put in jeopardy in a matter of hours.
Still, you and Wanda endure, and you couldn’t help but fell more in love with the woman that had been picking up her pieces while being everything you and her children needed. You massaged your neck tiredly, the house was completely alone and Wanda and the twins were still out somewhere with Natasha and Maria.
At least that was what she had said to you when you asked for her companionship to your appointment with the doctor. It had been a strange day, a very lonely day in which you had been left alone with your thoughts and emotions.
You whistled glancing around your living room before directing your attention to the stairs, America had long gone somewhere with Kate and you regretted not having agreed to her and her idea of joining you at the hospital. With a heavy sigh, and some tiredness you made your way upstairs ready to take a shower.
Of course, noting could had prepared you for what you found there.
The room was completely empty.
You stepped forward until your eyes fell upon the clothes that had been neatly organized on your bed. Right on top of your favourite trousers there was a single note with your name on it, you recognized America’s messy handwriting and you couldn’t help but smile at the words she had left written on the piece of paper.
Today is finally the day!
Wanda has been planning this for a very long time, and since I am very amazing sister, and sister-in-law, I decided to give her a hand.
I choose your favourite clothes and left everything ready for you to get dress and ready for your date with Wanda. You and her both deserve this time, and I think it would be the perfect time to just be yourself and talk about everything but what had happened lately. Please, be happy. I will take the twins to Kate’s place and you two will have the rest of the afternoon and the night for yourselves. Please, just write to me and make sure you enjoy the date.
Love, the best sister in the world (me)
Your smile only grew knowing in the last couple of days America had been completely secretive though always offering hints of how much you were going to love the surprised. Wanda had been holding her secrets just as tightly, and by the time Friday finally arrived you were really dying to know what Wanda had prepared.
“Very well, one hour before Wanda is here,” you mumbled to yourself letting your eyes wandered around to check your clothes. With a wince, you left your backpack and the jacket on a chair and went to the bathroom.
You couldn’t help but gasped at the sheer pain you felt running through your arm, leaving the sling to the side and helping yourself out of your clothes. Your reflection blinked back at you, the wound on your left arm was still red, and fresh, pulsating from time to time reminding you not only of the cold winter days, but of what had almost happened two weeks ago.
With a frown, and a shake of your head you turned around getting the bath ready.
Today was about you and Wanda and whatever it was she had prepared for you, there was no time to think anything sad or regretful. With a smile on your face, you put on some music and decided to get ready for the woman that had already captured your heart.
A deep void of anticipation settled on your lower abdomen and you could hardly wait to see Wanda again.
You glanced at your reflection with a critical eye.
America had put together the suit your dad had chosen for your first official meeting in the company. Your lips curled lightly, it had been a while since you last used those Chino pants, or that blazer, but it was your favourite one because of how it made you look. How it made you feel. You smiled fixing your left arm to rest comfortably on your midsection, the blazer and pants tailored fit complementing your body form with the dark colours you favoured so much.
You found your eyes in your reflection, your body tingling with anticipation and a void expanding on your abdomen. Your heart shrank with emotion, when you recalled Wanda's eyes on you, her smile and the sweet timbre of her voice. If you were to be honest you didn't know when you felt for her, when you lowered your guard and allowed this woman and her children to take home in your heart. You just knew that one day, her smile took your breath away and her eyes on you made your heart fluttered with want.
The mobile on your bed vibrated several times, you furrowed your brows grabbing the phone while reading the message. You smirked, you turned around and went directly to the first floor making sure you had your wallet and keys on you. The moment you opened the door your throat went dry,
She stood by your door wearing a single, dark blue dress pressed around her horse but loose around the waist. There was a black coat on her, with her hair straightened up and light make-up glistening on her face. She smiled shyly at you, her eyes taking in your frame before they settled in your eyes, her cheeks wore a dust of red you were familiar with.
“Hey.” She greeted tentatively dipping her head while looking away for a moment.
You shook your head, blinking a couple of times before stepping forward.
“Hey.”
Wanda leaned back, her tongue playing with her lips with her hands closing tightly around the purse she had borrowed.
“You look beautiful.” You finally stuttered out, your face warming up when those green eyes fell on you once more.
Wanda put a strand of hair behind her ear, her smile softening leaning into the touch of your hand on her arm.
“You look good, too.” She replied and you were quite relieved you were not the only one incapable of speaking properly at the moment.
“Only good?” You asked teasingly, Wanda opened her eyes, shaking her head.
“You look amazing.” She finally stated, rolling her eyes when you just chuckled.
“Amazing, eh?”
“You always look good,” Wanda lifted her hand and put it on top of yours, “are you ready?”
You stepped out of your house closing the door behind you, you grabbed her hand placing a kiss on her knuckles with a single winked that made Wanda falter for a moment.
“I'm all ready for you, Princess. I'm also very excited to know where you are taking me, and what you have planned for today.”
You couldn't hide the excitement in your voice, you bounced on your feet while Wanda merely shook her head pointing to the car.
“It's still a surprise and as such, you are going to be asked to wear a blindfold.”
You cocked a brow at her, your lips curling playfully.
“Kinky.” You chuckled when Wanda slapped you playfully on the back, she rolled her eyes but you could tell she was blushing profusely.
“Come on, we have reservations.”
Wanda started walking down the lane but stopped when your hand closed around her forearm. She turned confused, her eyes finding yours and the seriousness of your expression made her turn completely to face you.
“We cannot go like this, you know?” You shook your head, but Wanda merely creased her brows tilting her head.
Whatever question she had, or whatever she was going to say was soon cut by your lips finding hers in a slow, tentative kiss. Her breath caught in her throat, and you just loved the way she tilted her head placing her hands on your forearms giving into the kiss while opening her mouth with her tongue teasingly playing with yours. You smiled into the kiss, sowing down until your forehead was resting against hers. Both breathing hard, flustered with lips swollen from the kissing.
“Are you…are you happy now?” Wanda asked and her voice, while still recovering, suddenly was huskier than ever.
You nodded, placing a sweet peck on her cheek, stepping back before you couldn't contain yourself.
“Yep, now we can go.”
____________________________
The ride to your destination was a silent event.
The silence was filled with music and conversation about your doctor’s recommendations for the physical therapy and Wanda’s care of her throat. You had leaned back against the eat, with a smile playing on your lips while you gave the woman sitting beside you a trust you rarely placed in anybody else.
When the car finally stopped, your stomach was squirming deliciously and your heart was jumping with anticipation of what was going to happen. You waited until a warm hand placed itself on your leg, your body tense leaning in to follow the voice of Wanda.
“I thought very hard on this, you know?” Wanda was speaking softly, with her voice filled with memory and something you couldn’t quite name, “I’ve been going through so many changes, and when I was finally getting to know myself I met you.”
You cracked a smile leaning your head without being able to see but sensing Wanda’s eyes on you.
“That was one hell of a first good impression?”
Wanda snorted, her hand clenched tenderly around your knee.
“No, I hated you.” This time around you could tell she was not joking, but her voice merely softened. “I hated what you made me feel, I felt vulnerable but at the same time there was this horde of butterflies on my stomach and my chest was always tight and throbbing…it was infuriating. It was confusing.”
You lifted your right hand; your movements were slow and tentative waiting to see if Wanda would stop your advances but she never did so. By the time you took off the blindfold, you could see the face of the other woman looking right outside the parking lot of a big, black building. Wanda let out a breathy sigh, it came right from her chest and by the time her green eyes found yours your heart skipped a beat.
“I wasn’t sure as to what I was experimenting until…” Wanda shrugged, “until I told Hope, then everything make sense.”
“Was it the first time you…” your question caught in your throat, there were many things you wanted to ask, furrowing your brows you realised there were certain details about Wanda you had yet to see, you had yet to know.
Fixing your position on the seat, this time around it was you the one facing her while the building stood like a shadow in front of you.
“Was it the first time a woman flirt with you?” You asked tentatively, Wanda nodded tilting her head until she was locking her eyes with you.
“It was the first time I actually admit to liking a woman, Y/N.” Wanda then softened her features, her hand seeking yours, “today I want to make it special, I want for you to know and to feel just how much you mean to me. I…I may be slow with words, but I don’t want you to think I am not experiencing the same emotions as you do.”
Your lips broke into a half smile, you leaned forward until your lips were on her ear. Wanda shivered her eyes fluttering close as you spoke.
“I love you.” It was a simple whisper, three words you had gotten used to tell the other woman with every single ounce of honestly you could show her.
“I know.” Wanda replied back turning her face until your lips and hers were brushing against one another, you snorted shaking your head.
“Very well, Han Solo, where are we?”
Wanda furrowed her brows scrunching up her nose the very same way the twins usually did when confused. You chuckled tucking her locks behind her ear.
“What did you call me?” She asked tentatively leaning back, you raised a single brow.
“You know? Han Solo? Star Wars? Princess Leia?”
Wanda shrugged shaking her head, her eyes twinkling in silent laughter at the face of pure mock disbelief you were wearing at the moment. It was as if you were genuinely offended by her lack of knowledge for what you were saying.
“God, as soon as this is over you and I are going home to see the movies, the original ones before I settled on letting you see the full saga.” You commented opening the door of the car.
Wanda followed your actions, but just before the both of you left the warmness of the car she decided to speak.
“Funny, I thought that after we left this place you and I could be doing something totally different once we were home. I was dying to know what else you could do with that mouth of yours.”
The young woman smirked closing the car door behind her and walking down the parking lot, her cheeks were a witness of her embarrassment but her heart fluttered happily when she heard your cursed and gasp. The door closing with a loud thud, while your footsteps hurried up behind her.
The night promise to be fun.
The main entranced had been decorated with silvery banners announcing the newest show, the doors were closed and a single sign to the left showed the place had been closed hours ago. You furrowed your brows; it was until the both of you had been standing closed to it that you realized you were in the Natural Museum and the Stark Planetarium. The place was huge and it had been built just outside the city to make it possible for the observatory to get easiest access to a clear sky. Your eyes lighted up leaning in to observed inside the glassed doors, Wanda stood by your side writing something on her phone while waiting patiently with you.
“How did you know?” You asked leaning back, Wanda shifted her weight from one feet to the other facing you with a soft smile.
“I did pay attention when you helped the twins with their homework, and I did my investigation to make sure I wouldn’t get this wrong.” Wanda stepped closer to you positioning herself on your right side so she could grab your hand in hers. “I want this date to be special.”
“Being with you is what makes this date special.” You pecked her cheek, and Wanda just shook her head.
“You’re such a sweet talker.”
“Nah, I’m just saying the truth.”
Soon the doors were opened and a single guard opened the doors, he smiled at the both of you while passing a set of keys to Wanda giving her silent instructions as to where they should go and which parts were off limits for the both of you. You observed as the young woman listened carefully, she took the map the man was giving her while also pointing to something on the tablet he was holding. Your heart skipped a beat thinking of all the things she had done, if only to get you to where you two were at the moment ready to enjoy the strangest date you had ever been to.
“Very well, we’re not allow to disturb the rest of the exhibitions so let’s see, I think it’s down here.”
“Lead the way, my lady, I am but a humble peasant at your mercy.”
Wanda chuckled grabbing your hand dragging you through the corridors, it was only the both of you and the sound of your footsteps disturbed the silent scene spreading before your eyes. You had been in that place several times through your youth and adulthood; it was one of your favourite places in the whole world and you had a sneaking suspicion this part of the date had been America’s contribution.
“No way…” you whispered this time around walking faster until it was you the one dragging Wanda behind you, your smile grew just as you turned around and found the planetarium had been fixed in such a way that right in the middle of the ground there was a single table with two chairs.
You had been there when your father was helping around on the renovations, at that time you were but eight years old, but the idea behind these new arrangements was to make camping-like scenario for some of the youngest people that would fill the place in the future. The idea was to make of this dome of the most accurate and real in the whole country.
Let’s make it feel as if they were actually outside, watching the stars above their heads on a nice, summer night.
Your face broke into a nostalgic smile as the words of your father filled your mind.
Wanda took a deep breath her hand squeezing yours tenderly, her heart beating fast just as you let go while strolling around the place. The planetarium was located on the west wing of the building, it was the biggest in the east coast and it usually held some of the most important films about astronomy and history in the whole country. The projection dome was done with neutral colours with a LED system that came along with the latest technology for audio and special effects. It had been a couple of years since you last were inside the Domo and finding yourself in the midst of such a place only brough a bubble of happiness that spread all through your senses.
Everything was already set up, and the lights that were lighting up the place were just centred on the single table with two chairs right in the middle of the room. Instead of the normal chairs that were placed around the theatre, you found yourself looking at a scene that never thought possible and you knew right there and there of all the effort that Wanda had taken that very first time to give you the perfect date.
“Do you…do you like it?” Wanda finally broke the silence approaching you with a tentative stare in her eyes, she approached the table signalling the cutlery with the table, the glasses of wine and the single bottle resting on a small side table inside a bucket filled with ice.
You turned to the woman standing beside you, it was quite incredible that even after all she had done there was still some trepidation in her features, the nervous picking of her fingers while she tried to offer explanations of how everything came to be. Of the careful planning she did to make sure everything would be ready, that everything would be there on time.
You stopped her tirade just as she was about to tell you she chose as the main course had been lasagne accompanied by a white wine.
Wanda got her words tangled in her throat, her lips trembling lightly until she lifted her arms to return your hug. For the very first time, after what happened in New Year and the process of recovery you and Wanda allowed the comfort of a single hug.
“This is amazing.” You whispered making sure she could feel everything you were experimenting at the moment.
Wanda closed her eyes, taking in the sweet aroma of your perfume and surrendering to the warm of your body. You leaned back, brushing your fingers on her hair while taking in the marks on her eyes and the tentativeness behind her stare.
“Nobody had done this before, you know?”
“Really?” Wanda asked right away, you shook your head. Wanda pursed her lips stepping back a little.
“You don’t have to say that, you know?”
You furrowed your brows seeking her eyes with yours until she couldn’t look away from you.
“I mean it, Wands. I’ve been in many dates some of them were unique in the way the presented themselves, but…well, this…” You lifted your eyes to the dome stretching your arms while twirling around, “having someone worry enough to make something I like? Not many did, and not in the way I was expecting.”
“Well, I just thought…” Wanda turned around when the gates of the theatre opened and there came a couple of waitresses bringing over the food.
You grabbed Wanda’s hand leaning in to place a single kiss on her knuckles, the young woman rolled her eyes at your gesture but took it for what it was.
“Let’s eat, and discuss this, my lady.”
“Let me help you out.” Wanda replied walking fast to the closest chair pulling it out waiting for you to sit.
You grinned taking the chair while Wanda too the one right in front of you, the two young men worked was placing the plates filled with food while also serving the wine and leaving two glasses of water as well.
Everything was perfect, the smell of the fresh lasagne filled your nostrils and it was quite evident you couldn’t shake the smile adorning your features. Wanda puffed out her chest, a sense of pride overcame her knowing she had made it possible for you to not lose your smile or relaxed posture.
“This is delicious,” you moaned while tasting the food, Wanda blushed glancing at the food while nodding in agreement. “God you bought it in Olympia, didn’t you?”
“Yep, Ajak was very kind to offer the services of the waitress and the food and actually all the things you see here.”
“You really outdo yourself with the date, Wanda.”
Wanda lifted her face taking in your frame, she smiled going back to her food.
“I really wanted to make this special for you.” Wanda grabbed her wine frowning her brows for a moment, “I never thought I could be this special with anyone, let out feel like this for someone else.”
You focused on the food, but soon you noticed the sweet melody of a familiar song playing in the speakers inside the dome. Your eyes lighted up turning to Wanda who was offering a tiny smile, she really had thought about everything.
“Very well, what’s your ideal date?” You asked all of a sudden, Wanda was taken aback for a moment blinking at the randomness of the question.
“My ideal date?”
“Yep, you just said you couldn’t imagine being this special, but you are special, Wanda. Perhaps, you were never given the chance, but I know you must have something inside your head that cold be define as the perfect one.”
Wanda chewed on her lower lip, narrowing her eyes for a moment before leaning in.
“I have always thought that a walked down a beautiful part, or forest leading to a lake is an ideal date.” She stated thoughtfully, “mom used to take Pietro and me to this beautiful forest near the city back home, she always told us the stories of her youth, and I always thought that would be the perfect place to have a date or a marriage proposal.”
You nodded pursing your lips impressed, Wanda then turned to you her eyes gleaming strangely.
“How about yours?”
You opened your eyes blinking a couple of times before leaning over, “I have to say, this one? It’s at the top five of my favourite dates ever.”
Wanda made a face of disbelief but you stopped her with a gesture of your hand, you drank some wine shaking your head.
“I mean it.” You declared strongly, “I love history, and I love everything that has to do with museums and books, if you want to win my heart, this is the perfect spot to start over. But I would say the perfect date would be on Prague’s Strahov library. Now, that would be quite the adventure.”
The conversation soon flew the same way it did before the incident, you caught Wanda giving in while leaving the stress on her shoulders ease out and her expression relaxed while the conversation grew around the topics she handled well. You never lied to her, while you had your share amount of dates usually they involved other type of activities that, why you liked them at a time, they hardly related with one of your passions.
Laughter filled the planetarium; the acoustics of the place made it easy for the sound to be enhanced. The conversation grew around different topics, and soon whatever happened in the past, whatever physical wounds the both of you carried still were forgotten.
And it was in that moment you remembered why you fell in love with Wanda.
“Thank you, this was delicious.” You glanced at the waitress smiling gently at her, the young woman flushed returning the smile until she caught the glare coming from Wanda.
“I will bring the desert.” The young woman picked up the last of the dishes and hurried out of the place.
You cocked a brow at Wanda who had not stopped following the other woman with her glare, when she returned her attention to you it was only to find your amused smile adorning your features.
“Jealous much?” You chuckled when Wanda clicked her tongue looking away.
“Should I be?”
This time around you did laugh at the absurdity of the comment, Wanda rolled her eyes sending you a withering stare before huffing and crossing her arms. You waited until the dessert had been served and another bottle of wine was brought, this time around the rest of the lights went out and there was only a single one left to create a foggy atmosphere around the centre of the room.
“I think you are adorable when jealous.” You stood up serving the wine, you knew Wanda was following you with her eyes but for now you focused your attention to the task at hand. “I still remember that time in which you saw me and Carol, there is something utterly cute about it.”
“I’m not jealous, and I don’t think being jealous counts as adorable. Or cute.”
You clicked your tongue shaking your head, the glass was soon filled with the red beverage on the bottle. You passed the glass to Wanda who received it, the glint in her eyes told you she was enjoying the changed in the topic. Or perhaps, what she was enjoying was your attention. You nodded to her mobile taking your glass in your hands.
“They give you control of the room, didn’t they?”
Wanda pursed her lips glancing at her phone while nodding.
“Mr. Stark taught me the basics, and how to make sure that everything was perfect for the show.” Wanda mumbled, she gasped when you grabbed the phone seeking the app where Wanda was trying to handle the dome.
“You took my playlist, didn’t you?” This time around there was a hint of affection tainting your voice, Wanda nodded as if it was obvious.
“I wanted this to be about you.” She mumbled well aware that your eyes were now on her.
“Let’s make this about you and me, then.” You ran your thumb around the playlist until you found the song you were looking for. Your mouth broke into a smirk, and the sudden glint of mischief that appeared in your eyes made Wanda winced.
“What are you thinking?”
You left your glass of wine, stretching your hand to Wanda who took it without thinking it twice.
“Dance with me, my love.”
Wanda looked away with a tiny smile on her lips, her cheeks burning up while she started shivering under your hold. You stepped closer waiting for the song to start, your body moulding perfectly against Wanda’s one.
“I trust you know how to dance, Wands?”
“I…I know the basics.” She replied locking her eyes with you.
“Then, let me stir you around the curves.” You winked at her, loving the sound of her laughter.
The sound of the trumpet was the first thing that came into the speakers, and soon the music formed around the voice of Elle Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Wanda snickered gasping when you twirled her around before pressing her body to yours, the dance started slowly with you just swinging around.
“Why that song?” Wanda finally asked, you shrugged with memory written in your eyes.
“Mom used to listen to it, America’s mom.” You clarified, “her mother used Elle to perfect her English when they first came here.”
Wanda nodded leaning closer, her arms sneaking around the nape of your neck. You wiggled your eyebrows bringing another chuckled from the young woman.
“And she taught you how to dance?”
“Yep.”
“Mom used to teach us as well,” Wanda rested her forehead against yours, “ours was more classical, but still it was nice. She was a little obsess of making me be a debutant, and Pietro a escort in the traditional sense.”
Wanda furrowed her brows at the memory, but whatever memory came with it soon was forgotten and replaced with a content smile.
“It was actually nice, and I enjoyed it greatly.”
“I would love to dance something classical, any song in mind?” You asked tentatively, Wanda opened her eyes a little taken aback by your inquiry.
“You want to? Really?”
“Yeah, I do.”
Wanda tilted her head thinking for a moment until the song finished and the both of you stood in the middle of the room just looking at one another. The young woman leaned in kissing you tentatively, when she parted from you your heart was already trembling under the sheer passion she shared through the kiss.
“No, perhaps later, right now I want to keep spoiling you.”
Not sooner had she said this, Wanda turned around making her way to the futons resting on the floor. She fixed them with care, full aware of your curious eyes on her; woman made sure to take her jacket off of her and fix everything so the both of you could rest comfortably on the floor.
“What else did you plan?” You finally asked approaching her with the same amount of curiosity, Wanda was smiling shrugging lightly.
“You’ll see, don’t be impatient.” Wanda hesitated for a moment before turning to you, “do you mind serving the wine and bring it over?”
“Not at all.” With one last glance you turned to the table ready to serve the wine when all of a sudden the lights went out.
You froze on the spot, lifting your head to see if perhaps it had been a malfunction in the system or there was something else involved. Soon, you could feel the breeze touching your heated face, the small resounding of drums that went increasing until music of ancient design filled the room and a single dot of white appeared on the far edge of the screen crossing the dome above your head like a shooting star.
You gasped turning around to see Wanda smiling at you, she had dismissed her heels and her coat approaching you while the music transformed into a soothing melody. She locked her eyes with yours, and while you couldn’t see it, you could feel her trembling hands on your blazer helping you out of it while fixing the posture of your sling.
No words were needed it when those fingers worked around the bottoms of your shirt and then she took you to the futons she had fixed on the ground. With a stretch out hand, you allowed her to direct you to the ground almost chocking on your spit when she knelt in front of you taking your shoes off of you.
“Wanda…” You couldn’t keep the silence, but your voice sounded strangled almost fearful to break the spell the both of you seemed to be in.
“This is about you.” She replied simply, crawling to you her lips found yours in the sweetest of kisses the both of you had shared so far.
You found yourself on your back, those lips dancing with yours in a silent invitation. Your heart was beating hard, you were sure the sound of the drums had long ago been replaced by the sound of your heart. Your put your open hand on the back of Wanda’s neck putting her closer until you were on your back and she was almost on top of you.
“I love you.” Wanda all but whisper in your ear, her face almost hidden in the crook of your neck while her warm breath caressed the skin behind your ear.
There was a moment of silence, your heart finally stopped while you registered those words coming from her. You never expected Wanda to say those three words any time soon, you understood the kind of pressure she had been in, and the life she had been living before meeting you. Hell, the amount of time the both of you had known each other wouldn’t give you both enough time to say such a deep declaration, yet you couldn’t deny what you had been feeling for the woman hovering above you at the moment.
Your eyes found those emerald ones, the affection she had always shown you was there gleaming with hope. She waited with her lips swollen, and a dust of pink on her cheeks; Wanda leaned in her nose playing with yours while her eyes closed to engrave the moment in her mind.
“I love you.” She said it again, this time around louder, stronger and you knew she meant it. Every single word.
Your eyes flickered soon to the screen above your head, this time around everything changed and it was as if the both of you were right outside. The night sky was gleaming above your head, with a million started twinkling merrily at you, the start gliding slowly until the movement of the starts start speeding up and soon everything changed and the first constellations came upon the screen.
Wanda could see the stars reflecting in your eyes, she was very careful with her weight always favouring your right side. Her lips curled into a smile when your face lit up with glee at the sight above your head; she remembered the first time she asked for help. America and Hope had been so sure about their proposal that Wanda couldn’t say no, but she opted to add some of the things she had learned from you in those conversations in the middle of the night.
“I love you, too.” You finally replied back, this time around those eyes were filled with affection and completely focused on Wanda.
The young woman dipped her head turning on her side until she was resting right beside you, her hand sneaking comfortably around your midsection.
“I’m sorry it took me this long to say it,” Wanda started but before you could reply she shot you a quick glance shaking her head, “you had been my saviour in so many ways. You can imagine where I was when I first met you.”
“I was a bitch on that meeting.” You recalled, but Wanda merely chuckled nodding.
“You were and I hated you for that.” Wanda turned to you never losing her smile or the affection in her voice, “and then I got to know you and I was…confused. You were making me feel so much, in so little time, and I was afraid.”
Wanda snuggled closer to you, “I’m not afraid anymore, and after thinking about it I realized I love you. As in, I’m in love with you, Y/N, and I don’t think I can stop my heart right now…”
“Why would you stop it?” You inquired turning on your side, wincing when you put some stressed on your left arm.
“I don’t know, what if…”
You leaned in kissing Wanda before she could finish her sentence, Wanda giggled welcoming the kiss before making sure you were back on your back instead of putting some unnecessary stress on your arm.
“Don’t think about the what ifs, Wanda.” You nodded to the sky above your heads, the music had changed into winds and cords, and the story of the first constellations came to be right in front of your eyes.
“I know it is too soon, still. That there is a lot to work on, but if you allowed it…I will be by your side until the last start in the sky had been consume by time.”
Wanda leaned closer to you, her face hidden once more by your neck though this time around you could feel her lips on your neck.
“How do you do it? How can you say such things and make me tremble until there is nothing else but you?”
“It’s a gift.” You chuckled when Wanda lifted her face rolling her eyes.
“I want to be with you, for as long as you want me, Y/N.”
“Then, let’s be together.” You sneaked your arm around her putting her on top of you, “let’s be a family and see where it goes.”
“I love you, and I just wanted to make sure you knew it.” Wanda insisted, you nodded pecking her nose.
“I know.”
“I wanted to make of this night something special,” Wanda said her hand lifting to cup your face and soon her fingers started dancing down your jaw to your neck to the open shirt. For you it was soon evident what she meant, and while she tried to look confident in what she was doing you could see the flash of uncertainty in her eyes.
Her hand was trembling, whatever expertise she had tried to show soon vanished when you realized she was getting closer to your chest.
“You don’t have to…you know?” You could see the glint of hesitation in her green eyes, Wanda clenched them closed in frustration. “Hey, Wands…look at me.”
It took a moment, but then she lifted her eyes and soon she was looking right at you.
“I don’t need sex to know I love you and that my heart is already yours, Wands. And I don’t need you to prove it to me; Wands whenever you are ready I’ll be here more than happy to make you scream in passion.”
Wanda gasped this time around her blush grew from her chest all the way to her cheeks, she tried to look away from you but you made it impossible for her to do so. Your wounded arm finding her face in a single caress.
“How can you be so understanding? God, I just…” Wanda leaned against your touch, “I feel foolish.”
“Never, Love, I just know… and I’m not in any hurry, whenever you are ready, I’ll be ready as well.”
Wanda sighed and whatever tension had been building around her left her body, this time around, when she kissed you she did it with the promise of the future. She laid down by your side, and soon she focused her stare on the stars above your head.
“I love it, this moment just you and me…”
“I thought we need it, you have been amazing with the twins but…” Wanda trailed off shrugging, “I think we were also needing this time to know one another. To actually share in an alone time.”
You smiled nodding your agreement, her hand found yours and soon your fingers intertwined with hers. The stars danced above your heads, and soon your voice joined the music and the different scenes playing with the constellations. You filled in the gaps with the stories you recognized, with Wanda asking questions or helping in the narration until soon you two were talking about mythology and reality.
“I wish this night would never end,” Wanda whispered glancing at the projection of the stars above her head, the show was about to end and she couldn’t help but voice what she had been experimenting in her heart.
“It doesn’t have to be over.” You replied turning to Wanda, the other woman furrowed her brows and you pressed your lips together turning on your side so you were facing her.
“Someday, right?” Wanda replied locking her eyes with yours.
“Someday.”
She smiled snuggling closer to you, “for now I wouldn’t say no to you sleeping with me, I mean without…I…”
You snickered placing a kiss on her forehead, “I know.”
“Did you imagine this will end like this?” Wanda finally asked, her eyes focusing on the sky above her head.
“No, I imagine it will start like this.” You glanced at the same stars, the same shooting star you saw at the beginning gleaming in the distance ready to travel through the sky.
“What do you mean?” Wanda scrunched up her nose, you placed a single kiss on her forehead nodding to the sky.
“I imagine this is how my relationship with you will start, and that after today we just ready to face the new challenges this relationship may bring.” You shrugged glancing down at Wanda, “I’ve been in love before, but…with you? It feels right, as if I was waiting for you.”
Wanda opened her eyes lightly before her expression softened.
“I realised that when…when you stood by my side regardless of my past.” Wanda rested her head on your shoulder, “I think this is the first time I have been in love and, I want you to be the only one.”
“well, love, you have a shooting star to make your wishes a reality.” You pointed to the screen and soon the shooting star crossed the dome and the show was over.
“what did you wish for?” Wanda inquired turning to you, you winked at her nuzzling her nose with yours.
“It’s a secret.”
“That’s not fair! You know what I ask for!”
“I do?” You furrowed your brows, Wanda nodded looking away for a moment before locking her eyes with yours.
“I wish for you to be my one and only love.”
You were shocked for a moment, but soon you answered to such words by kissing Wanda softly.
“And you?” Wanda finally said once you parted from the kiss.
“Me? Well, love, you will have to wait.” You smirked when Wanda seemed indignant at your declaration.
“Oh, come on!”
You pocked her nose, leaning in to kiss her pouting face away.
“Nu-uh, Princess, patience is a virtue, and I know you will know what I wish for with time.”
Wanda groaned in mock frustration, she was about to stand up but her hand grabbed her phone and soon a new projection started in the dome. You raised a single eyebrow when Wanda pinned you to the futon, her lips curling into a mischievous smile.
“Well, then, meanwhile I will just do the second part of my wish.”
“Second part?” Wanda nodded leaning in.
“Yep, I wish to kiss you, and show you how much I love you, how much I thank the skies for having me given the opportunity of meeting you.” Wanda then leaned closer to your face, “I wish to kiss you until the story above our heads is no more and the only option you have is to take me home and spend the night with me.”
“Then, my lady, allow me to make those wishes a reality.”
Their laughter soon filled the dome, and it came accompanied by a sudden gasp and the sound of kissing and playful banter.
Wanda never imagined that her decision to leave Vision would end up with her finding herself, while in the process getting a job and making new friends. Not even in her wildest dreams did Wanda imagine that she would come across someone like you that, for the very first moment create a lasting impression on her to the point Wanda decided to explore the relationship.
Her past had finally stayed in the past, with Vision in jail and her getting the full custody of her children, Wanda now was sure she could secure her future while at the same time seek out the peace and happiness she so desperately needed. Now, with you kissing her slowly while sharing a moment of pure, and unrestrained happiness, Wanda knew that every single decision she had taken had led her to that moment, it had led her to you.
And she didn’t regret it.
With you, Wanda understood that she didn’t need to lie to herself, that she didn’t need to hide or to run. With you, Wanda discovered she could be herself and finally give in.
To be loved, and to love.
That was all that matter.
**********
Three years later
Morning had arrived with a bright sun, and no clouds in the sky.
You served the coffee while glancing out the window, the sound of running footsteps brought a smile to your face knowing that the holidays were the perfect opportunity for the twins to break havoc. No sooner had you thought this, Billy and Tommy came through the door wearing the baggy pants and the t-shirt they had chosen to wear that day.
“Morning, Y/N!” Billy came to you wrapping his arms on your midsection before going to the fridge, Tommy chuckled sitting down on the stool waiting until Billy brought two glasses and set the orange juice on the table.
“You guys have a lot of energy for a Monday morning.” You hummed when they shook their heads innocently.
“Nu-uh, just…America told us she would take us to the lake.” Tommy said shrugging.
“And, we haven’t said anything about…you know.” Billy mumbled looking around the room before settling his eyes on you, “so we thought you would be happy to know we will be out of your hair today!”
You chuckled ruffling his hair affectionately, setting your coffee on the table while serving the orange juice to the boys.
They had grown a great deal and now at seven they were far smarter than you or even Wanda gave them credit for. Three years ago, you never thought possible to fall in love again, nor did you thought whatever started as a tentative relationship would end up being the best that happened to you. You glanced at the boys that started talking animatedly while mentioning the different places America and Kate were supposed to taken them to, you smiled knowing your sister adored them and was about ready to do whatever they wanted as long as she got to spend some time to them.
You sighed leaning against the counter taking a long sip from the coffee, in the last years a lot of things had changed in your life. America had finally found her passion, she had decided to pursue a career in international affairs and her path led her directly into one of the most important universities in Europe, which ended up with Kate studying a couple of miles away from her. Whatever had started as a school crush, it had developed into a serious relationship that both of them had dealt with maturity.
You had finally gotten the time you needed to organise the business, and while your presence was always required when important matters arise, you had taken it upon yourself to be in charge of the development section of the company. It was easier, and it gave you the time you needed to spend with Wanda and the children.
The sound of childish argument brough a smile into your face, soon you caught the well-known voice of your girlfriend and your heat melt right away when Wanda appeared behind the hall wearing a familiar frown while placing her hands on her hips.
“Okay, you two, stop this argument right now or there won’t be any outing with America.”
“Yes, mum!” The twins said at the same time focusing on their beverages.
You locked your eyes with Wanda, your lips curling into a smile while the woman softened completely making her way to where you were standing casually. She leaned in pecking your lips while stealing your mug.
“Morning.” You whispered wrapping your arm around her hips, she giggled leaning forward before accepting a deeper kiss.
“Ugh, mom!”
“Y/N!”
You finished the kiss turning to them, “I will hold you to this moment when you guys bring over your partners home and decided to kiss them in front of us.”
“No!”
“Never!”
“I would never be this corny!”
“Never!”
You chuckled rolling your eyes, Wanda leaned in kissing you one more time before going to the coffee maker and serving another cup of coffee. You glanced at your watch knowing America would be there any moment now, your heart beating a tad bit faster while the heavy void you had felt on your lower abdomen increased and your chest tightened at what you had planned for the day.
Tommy and Billy glanced at one another before placing their hands on their mouth and snickering, you mock glared at them and the sudden exchanged didn’t go amiss to Wanda. The young woman narrowed her eyes standing right beside you.
“Okay, what is it?” She asked, and her suspicions only grew when the three of you answered at the same time.
“Nothing!”
You glanced at the twins, the three of you started laughing while Wanda softened her features. Even if she got curious, and a little wary, she couldn’t help but love these moments in which you and the twins would behave like a family. Once she had given in, you became the light of her life, your smile and your occurrences were always a source of amusement and tenderness, and the twins had come to love you in ways Wanda thought would be difficult to do so. They accept you faster than what she thought, and ever since that day after the planetarium you and her had been together in the good, the bad, the ugly and the pretty.
“You guys…” Wanda started but whatever she was going to say was cut short by a knock on the door.
“Save by the bell, guys! That must be America, love.” You gave Wanda a quick peck on her lips before running towards the door, once more the twins looked at one another before holding back their snickers.
“Okay, what is it?”
“Nu-uh, mom, it’s a secret!” Tommy said emptying the glass in a single sip.
“We promised not to say anything, mom.” Billy continued shrugging before approaching Wanda and offering her a hug, “but I love you!”
Wanda narrowed her eyes hugging Billy back, “I love you too, both of you.”
“Hey!! Where are my favourite guys in the whole world?!”
America stretched her arms to welcome Billy and Tommy, Kate rolled her eyes moving past them with a smile to greet Wanda. Wanda chuckled when their attention turned to Kate, America approached her wrapping her arms around the young woman.
“Ugh, I missed you so much, Wands! How’s everything? My sister still giving you trouble?”
“Hey! I never gave her any trouble, did I?” You pouted standing beside Wanda, the other woman shook her head putting you closer to her.
“Never, my love, you are a well-behaved girlfriend whenever you and the twins are not playing to break havoc.” Wanda pecked your lips turning to America. “Everything is perfect, but I have a feeling my girlfriend and my sons are planning something I should know about.”
This times around America opened her eyes with her mouth hanging opened, Kate gasped and the twins put their hands on their mouths. You snorted rolling your eyes, with this level of secrecy it was a surprised Wanda had not really discovered what you had planned for her that day.
“No, I mean there is no…Oh, look at the time, guys are you ready?” Kate babbled looking around while trying to evade any interaction with Wanda who had her eyes on her.
America snorted softening her stare while her girlfriend took the twins to their room, she then turned to Wanda who had a single eyebrow lifted waiting for an explanation she would not receive. At least, not from America.
“Don’t look at me, I’m just a passerby ready to take the twins on an adventure of a lifetime.” She said lifting her arms, Wanda snorted turning to you.
“You know, sooner or later I will find out your secrets?”
“I’m counting on it, Wands.” You whispered leaning in to kiss her, “now, how about you go and take a bath and I help America around.”
Wanda nodded dreamily, she gave you a quick smile before turning to America and giving the young woman another hug.
“It is good to see you again, America, see you tonight at dinner, right?”
“Yeo, we will be there!” America glanced at Wanda walking away, she waited until she was pretty sure Wanda had left before turning to you. “Well?”
“Well? You’re the one who should tell me if everything is ready!” You whispered harshly at your sister glancing down the corridor before settling your eyes on America.
The young woman rolled her eyes, but her lips played a familiar smile while she tapped something on her phone. Soon you were giving a fine idea of what she had prepared with the help of Kate and your friends; it had been hard at first to get what you needed to make of that day special. Your face lit up completely, and America could see the ghost of a smile on your lips while your eyes scanned the images she had store on her phone.
When you first shared with America your intentions, the young woman had been excited. In the last couple of years, she had seen the love between you and Wanda grow in something completely different. It was not the same relationship you shared with Shuri, and certainly it wasn’t the same type of relationship Wanda had shared with Jarvis. The both of you had been the best that could happen to the other, Wanda had learnt to love and be love, to trust in herself while also trust in the affection others held for her. You learnt to let go and to actually trust in the person beside you, you got to see how Wanda was ready to be a part of your life without losing her own little universe with the twins.
It had been a rocky path, there were fights, and sometimes it was quite difficult to fight against the demons of the past. But, America knew, if it hadn’t been because of the deep love you two felt for one another, the relationship would have been over years ago.
“I think she will love it, and I’m just…” America trailed off before offering you a quick hug, “I think this is amazing.”
You sighed putting your hand inside your pocket, the squared box resting inside your pocket.
“Thank you, this looks amazing.” You glanced at the hall before turning to America, “at what time you think we can go over there?”
“Mmm, I would say the best would be around 4pm, we will be there waiting for you so…” America waved her hands excited, “God, I can’t hardly wait, please tell me if anything happens.”
“I will, Kiddo, thank you.” You wrapped your arms around her, “I really missed you.”
“I missed you too.” America chuckled when she caught the excited chatter of the twins and Kate coming over, “now, I will take them off of your plate for a while, we will have time to get up to date, for now, go!”
“Yes, ma’am.”
You watched as they left in the midst of laughter and light conversation, your hand sneaking inside your pocket putting out the black box you had bought a long time ago. Your heart skipped a beat, your hand clenching tightly around it ready to give the next step in your relationship with Wanda. Your lips broke into a tender smile, the memories of the last three years filling up your mind with determination and love.
“Y/N?”
You put the box away turning to see Wanda approaching you slowly, the swinging of her hips and that flirty smile she wore made your mouth go dry and your lower abdomen tingled with anticipation.
“Yes?” You asked, Wanda came to you chewing on her lower lip playfully.
“Since the kids are gone, and you and I are alone, I thought…we could shower together, don’t you think?” This was said in a low, husky tone, her lips wrapping around your earlobe while her hands sneaked inside your shirt.
“I think…you have a wicked mind, Wands.” You replied, but before Wanda could do or said anything else you took her in your arms crashing your lips to hers.
Needless to say, you and she left the home later than what you should, but the both of you had satiated the thirst you had for one another. Love evident in your faces, as you walked around the city hand by hand.

The country of Sokovia was a beautiful land with a rich past and a colourful landscape.
Wanda had been excited when you announced the trip, not really believing you were going to comply with her wishes until you present her with the four plane tickets. By the time you four had arrived at the city of Novi Grad, Wanda had been completely excited telling you and her children all about her hometown. She spoke of the difficult times they had lived, and the wonderful things the new government had done to fix the mistakes of the past.
Billy and Tommy had been avid listeners, and they had started talking to Wanda and to you in sokovian while Wanda was just completely happy with the development on their vacations. You had been just happy to see her smile, to see the excitement in her eyes when she pointed to all the places she remembered.
“I still can believe you brought me here.” Wanda said sitting down on the table right outside a beautiful balcony looking at the far away mountains covering half of the city.
“Why not?” You replied taking the menu with a smile, “if anything, I should be sorry for taking so long, but you know? Life has been getting in the way, and I wanted for you to have time to enjoy this place.”
Wanda didn’t know how you did it, the way you were always giving it your all to make her happy. She leaned forward placing her hand on top of yours.
“This is perfect, and it’s the perfect time.”
You smiled back at her, looking at the menu while glancing at the watch on your wrist. You were getting restless as the time for the main event approached; Wanda was looking at her menu pursing her lips before returning her attention to you.
“Can I order something for you? There is something in here I want you to try out…” She trailed off glancing away for a moment, a shadow crossing her eyes, “it is something mom used to cook for me and Pietro and I just…”
“I would love to, Wands. Go ahead, you’re the expert so we will do as you said.” You replied closing the menu, you waited until the food had been ordered before leaning forward playing with Wanda’s fingers.
“You know? Now that you mentioned this about the food, I remember the story you told me once.”
“Which one?” Wanda furrowed her brows blinking away while trying to remember.
“The one about the forest, is around here, isn’t it?”
The way her eyes opened wide, and her whole face lit up made your heart skipped a beat. You couldn’t take your eyes off of her as she turned around trying to point out the direction in which the forest was located.
“Yes! Oh, I can believe you remember…”
“I remembered everything you tell me, love.” You replied, and it was the tone of voice you used what made Wanda turned to you with narrowed eyes, you softened your features offering a reassuring smile to her.
“I always make the effort to have it in my mind so I can make sure to bring happiness to you, to see the very same expression you are wearing at the moment.”
Wanda turned her head away, her cheeks burning bright red while she smiled tenderly at your words. Even after all this time you still got to make her feel so self-conscious of the love you profess to her.
“I love you for that.” Wanda finally said, and you smiled back at her winking.
“Well, what about you and I go over there after lunch? I’m pretty sure at this time of the year must be quite the sight.”
“You mean it?” Wanda exclaimed excitedly, you nodded and soon thank the heavens you were sitting down for the kiss she gave you made your knees trembled and your whole body tingled with anticipation.
******
The afternoon was falling slowly, the wind was cold so the burning sun above your heads was not as strong as it could have been in a dry weather.
You and Wanda walked down the city, your hand joined in a single embrace while conversation flew with easiness. The topics varied from school, to your work, to the recent happenings of the world, to the twins and America; soon you two found yourselves talking about movies and books, the places you would like to visit or the worlds you would like to be in.
Life with Wanda was never bored, and every single time you discovered something new about her that made you fall in love with her even more.
Her excitement at being in her country was something you would cherish forever.
She dragged you down the streets, and then down the pebbled road leading to the forest. The place had changed since she was last there, it was now a national park that had been taken care off with the strictest rules and cares a country could provide to such a beautiful setting.
You took a deep breath when the road spread before your eyes, your eyes lifted to the signs, most of them pointing to different sections of the forest. Your eyes finally fell on the word Lake, and you lifted your hand to point it out to your girlfriend.
“There, lake, can we go there?”
“Yes, of course!”
You chuckled when she just grabbed your hand again, she twirled around wrapping her arms around your neck leaning in to kiss you slowly.
“Have a told you how much I love you?” She asked playfully, you placed your hands on her waist helping her walked backwards while you advanced down the road with her in your arms.
“Mmhm, not recently, no. I think I need a reminder.”
Wanda giggled leaning in, her kisses were soft and tentative, “I love you, Y/N, every time I think this is not possible, I fall in love with you even more and I just…”
Your heart shrank at her confession, putting her to you with your lips moulding against hers you poured all the love you felt for her.
“I love you to, Wands.”
Wanda sighed standing by your side lifting her face to the trees above her, her eyes gleaming happily just as the both of you advanced towards the lake. The forest was located it twenty minutes away from the city, and the entrance had been built around a public parking lot where people could acquire all the necessary materials for camping or a nice picnic. Some of the different paths had been fixed to give easy access to the people that visit the place, but the road leading to the lake had been left untouched with the nature almost claiming it back.
You were admiring the huge trees surrounding the area, the sound of the birds and other animals running around to hide away from the humans. You lifted your stare to see the blue sky above your head, and the cold breeze touching your heated skin. Everything was quiet and peaceful, only the sound of your footsteps seemed to interrupt the sounds of the nature.
Your eyes lifted squinting them when you spot the opening right ahead of you, your lips curling slightly when you finally spotted something else. You had arrived to the lake, with a quick gesture you stood before Wanda stopping her advanced towards her destination.
“What is it?” Just like she did early in the morning, she narrowed her eyes with a glint of suspicion gleaming in them. You shifted your weigh from one foot to the other, your hand scratching the back of your neck while your eyes danced around instead of facing Wanda.
You stood before her, your hand sneaking inside your pocket until you brough forth a single blindfold. She cocked a brow, half-amused, half-expectant at what you had planned.
“I may or may not have planned something for you.” You said tentatively, Wanda snorted but all you could see in her face was love and amusement.
“Figures, and I bet Billy, Tommy, America and Kate are in it?” She already knew the answer, but there was something else she couldn’t pinpoint to.
“Yep.” You admitted lifting your hand, “there is something… I mean, it is a surprised.”
“And I have to wear the blindfold.” Wanda grabbed the piece of clothing, never losing her smile, she winked at you, “kinky, perhaps later on we can use it for other…kind of surprised?”
You laughed out loud shaking your head while helping the brunette put on the blindfold.
“I love how your wicked mind works, Mrs. Maximoff.”
“Well, I love it when you play along, Mrs. Y/L/N.”
You let out a deep breath, the sun was still high in the sky and now Wanda stood before you blindfolded. Her hand found yours, squeezing comfortingly with that beautiful smile you had come to love and crave.
“Are you okay?” She finally asked, you swallowed down your doubts nodding before you remembered she couldn’t see you.
“I am.” Then, as an afterthought, “I’m just nervous.”
Wanda brought your hand to her lips, never losing her smile.
“Whatever it is you prepared for me, I know I would love it and…Y/N…there is no one else I would love to be with right now, you are the love of my life.”
You chuckled loving the tenderness Wanda used when talking to you, the fact she had come to know your insecurities and was always ready to reassure you of her love and your worth.
“And you are mine, Wands, now let’s go…”
You grabbed her hand and without wasting any more time you led her down the road towards the lake.
The lake was a great extension of water that spread out before a small beach surrounded by the forest. It was filled with grass, trees and bushes, with a crystalline water that was reflecting the light of the sun and the colour of the sky at the moment. This part of the forest was usually used for light lunches, and some swimming but at this time of the year the place was emptied and you had taken advantage of your money to get this small spot for you and your family for a couple of hours.
There was a single bench that had been decorated with red and pink, there were some balloons with a bucket filled with ice and wine. You helped your girlfriend so she could sit on the bench, all around her there was nothing more than flowers, blue lilies and orchids, the full scene had been planned out and built with the help of America and Kate that had just come from their hiding place with the twins.
You smiled at them putting a finger to your lips, standing before Wanda you pulled your mobile out of your pocket and let a single song filled the silence around the both of you.
“Oh, that’s…” Wanda trailed off when she recognized the trumpets and the melodic voice of Elle Fitzgerald. “Y/N…”
Your name sound beautifully on her lips, you took a deep breath looking around the place knowing you had chosen right. The lake was gleaming to your right, while the forest stood to your left, the mountains wearing a white bald head projected a protective shadow on the valley. This was what Wanda had always desired, what she had harboured in her heart when she still believed in love.
“Y/N…” She repeated your name, this time around with a hint of apprehension in her voice.
You knelt before her, your left knee touching the ground while your right knee bend to hold your elbow up your hand opening the box you had been carrying with you for over a year.
“You can take the blindfold off, Wanda.” You finally said, and your voice trembled with the sheer emotion you were experimenting at the moment.
Wanda took her blindfold, soon her breath caught in her throat and whatever sight she had before her became a blurred of colours and familiar images. Right in front of her was the lake and the forest of her childhood, the very same she had visited in her mind and memory after leaving Sokovia behind. Her green eyes flickered around until they found your eyes, and soon they fell upon the box in your hand and the silver ring resting in there.
The music was still playing around the both of you, and Wanda wanted to see if there was someone else or if the both of you were alone. But she was incapable of looking everywhere but at you.
Your lips trembled, your hand trying to hold still as you cleared your throat lifting your chin to face her with determination and love.
“Wanda Maximoff, I have brought you here because I love you.” You stated taking a deep breath making sure you never wavered in your intentions. “I realized a long time ago I can’t even think of the possibility of not having you by my side, of not living and growing old with you.”
Wanda sat frozen on the bench, her heart hammering hard against her chest while her stomach drop and her body tingled all over until a heavy pressured settled on her chest.
“I have loved you from the moment I met you, I just didn’t know it yet.” You chuckled shaking your head, “and I would love to make you happy, to love you, to cherish you, and to be your friend, your partner if you allow me…so, today in this place and with my heart on my hands, I want to ask you…”
“Yes…” Wanda whispered, you furrowed your brows shaking your head.
“No, wait, I need to ask…”
“Marry me?” Wanda asked, her voice trembling and her lips breaking into a content smile, you frowned though your eyes gleamed with amusement.
“No, you marry me, please?”
Wanda threw herself at you, her arms wrapped tightly around you while you fell to the ground hugging her back. She was sobbing, her voice a mere whispered in your ear.
“Yes, yes, I will…Yes, I marry you.”
You laughed turning your head and kissing her deeply.
“Then, yes, I marry you too, Wands.”
America and Kate both rolled their eyes, but the twins were squealing excitedly no longer able to hold themselves the run towards you and Wanda joining in the embrace.
Wanda turned to them surprised, returning their hug while turning to you and stretching her left hand where you placed the ring on her finger. Your smile was huge, and it was matching hers with the twins hugging both of you while talking excitedly.
“That means I can call you mom now?!” Tommy finally asked with you almost choking on your spit.
Wanda rolled her eyes fixing his hair before lifting her eyes to glance at you.
“Only if she wants to, Tommy.”
“You want to, don’t you, Y/N?” Tommy asked pouting, you ruffled his hair putting him to you.
“Only if I get to call you Tommy bear!”
Laughter soon filled the lake, with everyone enjoying the rest of the afternoon while you alongside with Kate, America and Wanda toast to the engagement.
“I can believe you…” Wanda closed the distance tilting her head to taste your lips with hers, you smile into the kiss with your hands placing themselves on her hips.
“You remember…” She said softly, in between kisses.
“I never forgot, Wands. With you, everything is easier, you know? I love you, and I just…I want to make you happy.”
“You make me happy already.” She replied leaning into your embrace, “but I will be complete the moment I can call you my wife.”
You smiled placing a single kiss on her forehead.
“I will be complete the moment I can call you wife as well.”
Wanda turned in your arms, her eyes following her children while they talked and played along with America and Kate. You placed your chin on her shoulder, watching the same scene with a soft smile adorning your features. The young woman lifted her hand to see the ring you had placed moments ago, a green stone that matched her eyes and white gold recovering the ring.
Her life was finally hers, and her happiness was finally something she knew she deserved and that was right there for her to live it. Wanda never imagined the moment she made the decision of leaving Vision her life would change so drastically, she never even played with the idea of falling in love again or finding someone ready to be patient with her past and fall in love with her.
Wanda never entertained the idea of anyone wanting to marry someone like her, damage and with two kids that were still growing up. Then, she met you. And she couldn’t imagine being without you by her side.
With you, she learnt to love again, to trust and to give herself without fear.
“Tonight, America and Kate are taking the twins to a festival and then back to their Air BnB so…we have the house for ourselves, to celebrate.” You whispered playfully, Wanda leaned back placing her hands on yours.
She tilted her head with her lips teasing yours.
“Then, let’s celebrate with them first, before I show you my appreciation for all the wonderful things you do for me.”
“It’s a deal, Love.”
“Y/N.” She called your name with a serious tone, you turned to her welcoming her kiss before smiling goofily at her.
“What was that for?”
“I love you.” She said simply, you softened squeezing her hand comfortingly.
“I love you, now and forever.”
And, of that, Wanda didn’t have any doubt for she too love you now and forever, until the end of time.

You stayed in your seat, shock evident on your face as you looked at your friends. Seonghwa held his hand out, a smirk on his face as Wooyoung mumbled curses as he pulled out a few galleons and placed them on Seonghwa hand.
" he can never catch a break can he..." you mumbled, feeling awful for Harry.
Hongjoong shrugged, wrapping his arm around you as they waited for the great hall to clear. " but aren't you happy? Someone from your house finally got called"
You rolled your eyes, " Cedric will do well i'm sure but Harry is just a boy. I would be fearing for you all."
Wooyoung clutch his chest, throwing his body onto yours as you laughed. " yn finally admits that she cares for us"
" all but you woo" you said, shoving him off you.
Wooyoung began to protest, the others laughing as you playfully pushed him away, trying to stifle your giggles. The energy in the room was infectious, and despite the earlier shock of Harry’s name being called, the camaraderie among your friends was lifting your spirits.
Seonghwa, still grinning, leaned back in his seat. “Honestly, though, it’s wild. Who would have thought Harry would be in the Triwizard Tournament?”
“Yeah, it’s insane,” you said, shaking your head. “He’s just a kid! I can’t help but worry about him. Its dangerous.”
Hongjoong tightened his arm around you, his warmth comforting. “You care more than you let on. It’s okay to be worried.”
“Don’t worry, YN! If anyone can pull off some crazy stunts, it’s Harry,” Seonghwa reassured, still smirking. “And if he can’t, we’ll just send him some flowers to cheer him up in the hospital.”
“Or a nice card,” you added playfully, “wishing him luck on his next life!”
The group erupted in laughter, the tension of the evening fading away. You felt lighter, surrounded by friends who brought joy even in uncertain times. The Great Hall was slowly clearing out, and you could see the stars beginning to twinkle outside the windows.
“Alright, let’s get out of here,” Hongjoong said, standing up and pulling you with him.
“We should celebrate a bit. Who’s up for some butterbeer?”
“Count me in!” Wooyoung exclaimed, practically bouncing in his seat. “I need a drink after all that drama.”
Seonghwa chuckled, rolling his eyes. “Always the dramatic one.”
Hongjoong wrapped his arm around your shoulder once again, leading the way with you towards the three broomsticks.

Hongjoong and you separated from the group once you all enjoyed the company of each other. Walking around Hogsmeade, a store had caught your attention. Hongjoong eyed your excitement, a smile placed on his face as he watched you bounce toward the shop window, your eyes sparkling with curiosity. “What’s got you so captivated?” he asked, stepping up beside you.
" look the rings Joongie" you pointed out.
Hoongjoong came beside you and leaned closer to the window, his eyes widening at the display of beautifully crafted rings. Each one shimmered with a different enchantment, some changing colors while others seemed to glow softly. But one caught his eye, it screamed you. The particular ring that had a delicate silver/gold band with a tiny charm shaped like a star. His star. Beside the one was a matching one, a gold band with a crescent moon charm. It was almost as if the two rings were made for each other, perfectly complementing one another.
Hongjoong couldn’t help but smile at the thought of the two of you wearing matching rings. He turned to you, a smile still place on your lips.
" ahh, it's getting late we should probably head back now" You muttered, leaving Hongjoong at the window shop.
" give me one second i'll be right back. Meet you at the bridge?"
You nodded, a mix of curiosity and excitement swirling inside you. “Okay, I’ll see you there!”
As you watched him dash back into the shop, your mind raced with thoughts of the rings and what they could symbolize. You leaned against the bridge railing, gazing out at the serene landscape of Hogsmeade, the sun beginning to dip below the horizon.
A few moments later, Hongjoong returned, a small bag tucked securely under his arm. His eyes sparkled with anticipation as he approached you, and your heart skipped a beat.
“What did you get?” you asked, unable to contain your excitement.
He held up the bag triumphantly. " that's for me to know and for you to find out later little badger,"
You pouted, " Joongie~"
He chuckled at your playful pout, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Alright, alright. I’ll give you a hint. It’s something that will remind you of me every time you wear it.”
You thought for a bit, both of you walking side to side back to the castle. Surely he didn't get the rings you both eyes moments ago.
You turned to him, your curiosity bubbling over. “Is it really something from the shop? You wouldn’t just tease me like that, would you?”
Hongjoong feigned innocence, his lips curving into a sly smile. “Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. You’ll just have to wait and see!”
You rolled your eyes, unable to suppress your grin. Hongjoong laced your fingers together, the walk back up to the castle a peaceful one. With his fingers intertwined with yours, you felt a sense of warmth and comfort wash over you. The gentle evening breeze ruffled your hair as you walked, and the soft sounds of Hogsmeade fading behind you created a perfect backdrop for your shared moment.

A ball.
There's going to be a ball.
The buzz around the Yule Ball was electric, and you could hardly walk through the halls without hearing someone talk about it. Your friends were just as caught up in the excitement, but you couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed. The thought of going with Hongjoong crossed your mind many times, each causing you to blush profusely.
The thought of the Yule Ball sent a flurry of butterflies through your stomach. You imagined walking in with Hongjoong, his hand gently resting on your back as he led you into the grand hall. The sparkle of enchanted lights and the soft music playing in the background created a picture-perfect scene.
“Who are you thinking of going with?” Seonghwa asked one day as you all sat together at lunch, his curiosity piqued.
“Honestly, I have no idea,” you replied, taking a bite of your food.
Seonghwa raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile on his lips. “Oh come on, you can’t tell me you haven’t thought about going with anyone special?”
You felt your cheeks heat up as you glanced over at Hongjoong, who was laughing with his friends at the other end of the table.
“Maybe you should take your time,” Yeosang suggested. “There’s no rush.”
Just then, a nervous-looking fourth-year approached your table, glancing around before he spoke. “Um, would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?”
Before you could respond, Mingi jumped in, pushing you behind him. " Not happening, buddy! She’s way too good for you!” He shot the boy a playful grin, but the fourth-year quickly scuttled away, clearly embarrassed.
“Thanks for that, Mingi,” you said with a laugh, shaking your head. “now no one will ask me to ball”
Mingi smirked, hands on his hips before they moved to be placed over your shoulder. You smiled up at him, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Good! They don’t deserve you anyway.”
You chuckled, feeling a warmth spread through you at Mingi's supportive words. “Thanks, Mingi. But what if I end up going with no one?”
Something shifted in Mingi eyes, before he looked at you with all seriousness, " you won't be, you'll be my date before i let you go alone"
You were going to reply before Yunho came beside him, shoving him off you as he gave him a look. Mingi held his hand up before he shoved them into his robes, leaving you confused. Yeosang spoke up, cutting the tension that was lingering in the air.
" plus, it's only fair that we scare the boys off. You're scaring all the ladies away ynie"
You couldn’t help but laugh at Yeosang’s comment, which broke the tension that had just built. “Scaring the ladies away? Really?”
Wooyoung smiled, coming beside Yeosang as he hung from him, " yah, come on. Who wouldn't want to go to the ball with us"
"i'm surround by idiots" Jongho muttered, rubbing his temple, a smile place on his lips as he watched you and Wooyoung argue back and forth.
As the day went on, more boys approached you with varying degrees of confidence, only to be intercepted by your protective friends. Each time, you felt a mix of amusement and frustration. “I appreciate the effort, but I really can handle it!”
Wooyoung smirked, “We just want to make sure you end up with someone worthy!”
“Alright, so who do you think is worthy?” you challenged, raising an eyebrow.
Your friends exchanged glances, and then Jongho grinned. “How about Hongjoong? He’d definitely treat you right.”
You felt your cheeks heat up at the suggestion. “he hasn’t asked me.”
“Maybe we should give him a little nudge,” Seonghwa said, a mischievous smile on his face. Seonghwa nudge Mingi who looked at him confused before he nodded his head. Mingi walked up to you, confusion placed on your face. Mingi began to lean close to you, your eyes widen in shock. Just as Mingi was about to place a kiss on your cheek, he was pulled back. A furious looking Hongjoong that did not let go as Mingi held his hands up in the air.
You watched in shock as Hongjoong’s expression shifted from confusion to protectiveness. “What do you think you’re doing?” he demanded, glaring at Mingi.
Mingi smirk didn't falter, " ah just giving our badger a kiss on the cheek."
Hongjoong huffed, letting Mingi go as Seonghwa patted his back. " we've done it before, what's the problem"
“Yeah, but this time it’s different,” he replied, crossing his arms defensively.
You giggled, " joongie, they're just playing. They were just leaving too, right guys?"
Wooyoung eyes sparkled with glee as he nodded his head, shoving the guys along as they began to protest, a few throwing a quick bye before they were hushed. Hongjoong let out a laugh before he turned to you.
" i'm sorry, i've been busy helping this girl study. I'm pretty sure she's just trying to keep me away from my star"
You blushed at the new nickname, his star. " it's fine, i knew i'll see you sooner or later."
Hongjoong smiled warmly, and you felt your heart flutter at his words. “I’m glad you’re here now. I missed hanging out with you.”
“Me too,” you admitted, feeling a shy smile spread across your face. “It’s nice to have a break from all the chaos.”
He leaned in slightly, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. " i have a free period. What about you?"
You nodded your head, Hongjoong smiled. holding his hand out for you, " great, let's go to our special place hm?"
Your eyes lit up at his suggestion, recalling the peaceful moments you had shared there.
──・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚.────
Hongjoong summoned a blanket, laying it on the ground as you both sat down. He laid his head on your lap, your fingers immediately finding his hair.
“This is nice,” he murmured, a content smile on his face.
“Yeah, it really is,” you replied softly, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere around you. The sound of leaves rustling and the distant calls of birds created a perfect backdrop. You looked down at Hongjoong, admiring his feature. His eyes were closed, a slight hum leaving his lips.
"remember how i said i have a surprise?"
You smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair away from his forehead. “Of course! What’s the surprise?”
Hongjoong opened one eye and grinned, clearly pleased to have your attention. He grabbed your hand, lacing your fingers together. " well, i was thinking -"
" Hongjoongie!"
You both turned your head, startled to see a girl walking down to you both. Hongjoong furrowed his brows, confusion placed on your face as well anger. Hongjoongie? You felt a mix of annoyance and curiosity as the girl approached, her bright smile contrasting with Hongjoong’s furrowed brow.
Sitting up, his arms now wrapping around your waist. " Mina? What are you doing here?"
Mina smile faultered a bit as she noticed Hongjoong arm around your body. The urge to roll her eyes at the scene but she kept her smile, "we were supposed to met up silly. Did you forget?"
" we don't meet at all this week Mina. I told you i had to catch up with my personal stuff. "
Mina’s smile tightened, clearly frustrated. " we'll, let's just do it now then"
With that she plopped down, your jaw hanging in shock as she shoved your legs. Hongjoong was once again furious for the second time.
Hongjoong’s grip on you tightened, his expression shifting to one of irritation. “Mina, seriously? This isn’t the time or place.”
You felt a mix of disbelief and anger. Mina shrugged, unfazed, a smirk now on her face she noticed how angry you are. " you don't mind do you. It's really important Hongjoong and I get this done."
Hongjoong stood up, helping you along as Mina looked up at you two. " seriously, fuck off Mina. I told you next week. You have a month to complete it and you literally had me all last week. "
So this is who was taking up all of his time. You bit the inside of you cheek, " hongjoong... it's fine. We can talk later?"
Hongjoong glanced down at you, his expression softening a bit. He pulled you away from Mina, giving you distance as he cupped your face.
" are you sure? I'll tell her to fuck off right now" He asked, looking at you for reassurance.
You smiled, " just find me later yeah? you still have to tell me my surprise joongie"
Hongjoong’s expression softened even more at your smile. “Okay, if you’re sure.” He leaned in, hesitating a little as he hovered over your lips before he moved towards your cheek. You felt a flutter in your chest as he brushed his lips against your cheek instead. The warmth lingered there, making you smile even wider.
A cough breaks the moment you two were having, a curse slipping hongjoong lips. You giggled, placing a kiss on his cheek before you said your goodbye. He waved, standing up as he watched your figure retreating.
" thank god she's gone, now we can be alone together."
He wondered how long the sentence would be in Azkaban would be if he threw her into the lake for the kraken to have her.

Trans Shawn Lesgo
(for @movietonight)
shawn was always kinda eh about being a girl. hed wear dresses at maddys insistence, and socialize with girls, but really it was telling that his first (and only, for a while) friend was a boy
he came to the idea of being trans all on his own, although he didnt know the terms for it, when he was 7
i have a flashback in my fic Occam Was WRONG about what happened like right after he realized (cut his hair, panicked, came out to gus)
afterwards, when shawn was found by henry, shawn told him that he didnt feel like a girl and wanted to be a boy instead, henry told him to think on it during bed and if during the meorning he still felt the same theyd do smth about it
henry, ofc, asks maddy about it, and maddy has the Right Terms
shawn still feels the same in the morning, they decide to use he/him and let him pick out a new name
he chooses Shawn James Spencer :3
basically yeah gus is chill his parents are ok everyone else sucks
this is his main source of bullying tbh
physical dysphoria gets significantly worse around puberty, starts using medically safe bandages for binding (that stuff from the hospital that you use to compress) . also he totally like broke his leg so theyd give him that, at least once
i have maddy leaving like, the last year of middle school, for more drama! this makes it harder to really be confident in himself since part of his support system is gone
so basically ppl who support him: henry, gus, some odd officers that henry works with
in high school, befriends dennis and abigail
is the 'cool kid', almost no one knows hes trans. this is, ofc, on purpose
after running away, finds a couple odd trans people to relate to and definitely a lot of transphobes 😬
he starts T, kinda here and there since hes moving so often. also he cant afford it a lot of the time (he was definitely homeless a lot, prioritizing his bike and t over shelter)
comes back to santa barbara
wow! nobody really gives a shit anymore abt him being trans (i mean it has been like. 11 years)
i feel like hes comfortable with his own body now that he can theoretically grow a beard. like his body looks outwardly male to cis ppl.
so he doesnt get top or bottom surgery, and doesnt plan to (shhhh im not projecting (im projecting))
aaand thats mostly it! :3

Notes: My baby.. she's finally finished... Please enjoy, I spent way too long on this!
Likes are appreciated, but reblogs and comments help writers more!
Wednesday, September 29. 9:42 AM in Quantico, Virgina.
Spencer had only ever been to Seattle once.
Working in the BAU took him all over the country. Cases popped up in every corner, in every state, in every place you could possibly imagine. He had seen nearly every part of the vast landscape that was the US of A.
The last case that had led them across the country to Seattle was The Seattle Strangler, back when Gideon was still on the team. Spencer had mixed emotions about that thought. But he was a professional and he was going to do his job.
Their current case was as close as you could get to clean cut and dry in their line of work. Women in their 20s being stabbed. Pretty simplistic, right?
The one connection each murder had, though, was that every single woman was eventually directed to Seattle Grace Mercy West. And while the hospital was a fairly major one, it was a Level 1 Trauma Center, after all, which meant a lot of patients, it was definitely raising a few alarm bells in their heads. Each woman was also eventually declared dead at that exact hospital.
It could never hurt to check every possible lead, could it?
Spencer used two fingers to rub at the sleep clinging to his eye still. He tried, and failed, to stifle a yawn as he shifted in his seat. Although he was quite used to struggles with sleep (hence his dependence on caffeine), it never truly got any better.
“Late night?” Morgan inquired. He propped his arms on the top of Spencer’s seat, peering over the other man’s shoulder.
Spencer shrugged. “Couldn’t sleep,” he replied. He frowned softly, continuing to try and rid himself of the tiredness that stuck to his lashes before he was interrupted by another yawn.
God, he could really use some coffee right now.
He glanced down at his watch and his frown deepened. They still had at least another two hours until they would land.
Spencer would consider himself a fairly patient man. He didn’t mind waiting, hell, he most often played the waiting game in his job as a BAU agent. But right now, sitting on that jet running on only five hours of sleep with not a drop of caffeine in sight, he was feeling just one moment away from simply losing it.
Not like it would actually happen, though. Spencer wasn’t that kind of guy. He was calm and reserved, even in the face of adversity.
Hotch’s voice cut through Spencer’s internal monologue for the moment, snapping him back into reality. “We’re going to head to the police station first,” he began, casting a glance over each BAU member in eyesight, “After we get all the necessary facts, we’re going to head to the hospital. Sound good?” He was met with a round of nods from everyone and he nodded back.

Wednesday, September 29. 11:23 AM in Seattle, Washington.
Lexie needed a goddamn break.
Being a surgical resident had to be a punishment designed in one of the seven pits of hell. How dare she desire to save people's lives, right?
At least it was better than being an intern.
She loved her job, don’t get her wrong, being a surgeon was her dream. It’s just that she couldn’t remember the last time she got more than four hours of sleep a night and she was just so tired all the time. From running around constantly to several hours long surgeries to forty-eight hour shifts.
Not to mention the constant drama and tragedy that filled the Seattle Grace Mercy West halls. You couldn’t turn a corner without hearing about someone sleeping with someone else’s boyfriend or about another MerDer breakup or another surprise pregnancy. Really, sometimes it was just ridiculous.
Lexie herself had been the victim of that good ol’ SGMW drama. She was trying to pull herself free from the clutches of it all, but it always seemed to follow them all. Like some sort of curse was placed on that very hospital.
But that was besides the point. The point was that she needed just one moment of peace, away from all the chaos of the hospital and the drama. Was that so selfish of her?
The sound of sneakers shuffling and her racing heart filled Lexie’s ears as she rushed through the halls. The occasional ‘excuse me’ slipped from her lips, trying not to crash into everyone that was in her way.
When your attending pages 911, you don’t walk - you run.
Her feet skidded to a stop as the familiar emergency room came into view, nearly making her trip with the sudden halt. Her movements seemed almost practiced with the near mindless way she moved - triage gown, tie in the back, gloves. This wasn’t her first trauma, and it would be far from the last.
“What do we have?” Bailey’s voice cut through the millions of other noises filling the room - the rustling of fabric, the snapping of latex gloves on skin, the chatter of voices. The ER was ever far from being quiet.
“28-year-old woman stabbed fifteen times in the torso, majority in the chest,” Owen shot back. He rushed forwards when the glint of red and blue lights followed by the sirens that would follow them for the rest of their lives came into view, and the rest of them marched behind.
“God, overkill much?” Cristina muttered low to Meredith. Bailey, who heard everything always, shot a glare over her shoulder. Cristina threw her hands up in defense, eyes wide and eyebrows raised. Her face fell the minute Bailey turned away and she shook her head with a quiet scoff.
The doors to the ambulance flew open and out rushed a woman on a stretcher. “BP is 158 over 92, HR is 92,” an EMT announced. Owen cursed under his breath as he took the railing of the stretcher into his hands.
“She’s hypertensive,” he announced. Quickly, other hands began to grab onto the stretcher as well, guiding the women into the hospital doors. He barked out a few names and different orders and Lexie slowly loosened her grip on the railing as her feet quit keeping pace before stopping entirely. She watched as the woman was rushed towards a trauma room, a frown falling on her lips. Trauma was never a pretty sight.
With a sigh she made her way to the receptionist desk near the ER entrance doors where a few of the other residents left behind had gathered.
“That’s the third stabbing in less than two months,” April remarked. A little frown began to form on her lips as she flipped the chart in her hand. “And they’ve all been women in their late 20s.”
She didn’t have to say it. They were all thinking it. The glances exchanged spoke a thousand words.
“You don’t think..” Meredith trailed off. She shot a look towards Cristina, then glanced back at April. The current hypothesis wasn’t looking so hot.
“It’s probably just a weird coincidence,” Lexie was quick to interject. Her words did little to quell the tense energy that filled the emergency room. “I mean, Seattle’s a big city. Plenty of crazy people doing crazy things. I’m sure they’re not related.” She waved a hand dismissively. Then she added, “It is getting close to the holidays. Don’t crime rates increase during the holiday seasons, or something?”
The pager attached to her hip beeped. She groaned, a pout appearing on her face at the sound. She unclicked it from the waistband of her scrub pants to take a glance at the numbers displayed on the screen and she sighed once more. It was Derek.
With a murmur of, “I’ve got to go,” that was met with a few dismissive waves of goodbyes from her fellow residents, she made her way towards the elevators, absolutely not ready for whatever Derek had in store for her now.
~
Wednesday, September 29. 2:17 PM in Seattle, Washington.
One thing you never want to hear in a hospital is silence. And that’s exactly Lexie had been greeted when she emerged from the imaging room, a stack of paperwork and scans ordered by Derek in hand. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but something was absolutely happening and she’d be damned if she was left out of it.
It all started to make sense, though, as she made her descent down a floor of stairs and she noticed a group of her coworkers crowded behind a corner. Mentally she counted heads - Cristina, Meredith, Alex, Jackson, April.. All five of them in the same place at the same time, clearly hiding from someone (or something?), always spelled trouble.
Cautiously, she made her way towards the group. She tried to stand on her tip-toes, trying to look over their shoulders to see whatever the hell it was that was making them all stop in their tracks, but to no luck.
Finally with a huff, she decided to pipe up. “What are we looking at?” Her sudden appearance obviously spooked them, as they all nearly jumped at the sound of her voice, but they quickly relaxed when they realized it was just Lexie. She flashed a little smile that was short lived and didn’t quite reach her eyes with an utterance of ‘sorry’.
“Them,” Meredith said. Lexie leaned to the side and she followed the finger that Meredith pointed with. Never would have Lexie guessed what would be standing before her right now.
There, talking to the Chief and Owen, was a group of people that certainly didn’t look like they belonged together. One man in particular, though, stood out among the rest - a tall man with curly brown locks and the most beautiful face Lexie had ever seen. “I heard they’re FBI agents,” Cristina cut in, knocking her out her little lovestruck daydream, and Lexie’s head snapped so quickly to look back at her, it’s a wonder it didn’t break.
“What?” Was all she could manage in response. “FBI, wh-” She shook her head, trying to clear her head from all the thoughts racing through it. “What would the FBI be doing here?” Her voice dropped low, almost to a rushed whisper.
Cristina shrugged. “Hell if I know.” Lexie frowned. And just as she opened her mouth, ready to say more, Owen gestured in the direction of their little gathering. And when the group of supposed FBI agents looked at them, they all took off, scattering away in their different directions, like roaches when you turned the lights on.
Except for Lexie. She was frozen in place, her blood running cold in her body when their hard eyes locked on her. She forced another smile, a nervous little giggle escaping her as heat washed over her cheeks in heavy waves. She raised her free hand to offer them a half-hearted greeting before pointing behind her with her thumb and then promptly spinning on her heel and hurriedly trying to escape the embarrassment that was that interaction.

Wednesday, September 29. 2:45 PM in Seattle, Washington.
Spencer had drank approximately four-and-a-half cups of coffee since landing in Seattle, and he was not quite satisfied yet.
Would he ever truly be satisfied with the amount of caffeine he consumed? Could anyone, really? The answer didn’t really matter. Not to him, anyways. Especially not now, when the tiredness ran bone deep and the day was nowhere near close to being finished. So, he was going to get another cup.
“I’m going to get some coffee,” he announced offhandedly as he pushed himself up from his seat.
Morgan raised an eyebrow at the young genius as he started to make his way in the direction of the coffee machines. “Really?” Morgan said. “Another cup of coffee? Seriously, kid, you’re going to kill yourself with all that caffeine and sugar you consume.” Spencer waved a hand in response and Morgan could only shake head with a small smile falling over his lips.
“Oh, you’re getting coffee?” JJ perked up, craning her neck slightly to catch Spencer’s eye before he disappeared. “Do you think you could get me a cup, too? Please?”
Spencer nodded. “Cream and sugar?” A grin split across JJ’s face at the idea that he remembered what she liked in her coffee. Although, with Spencer, he couldn’t have possibly forgotten in the first place. “You know it!” she called out to him. “You’re the best, Spence!”
“No problem,” he called back to her as he turned the corner.
The trek to the elevator and up to the coffee carts was not a particularly long one, but it did give Spencer enough time to get lost in his thoughts. His movements almost ran on autopilot as he got on the elevator and pressed the button with the number four painted on it.
His feet moved for him, guiding him in the direction of exactly where he wanted to be. Ideas and different theories of their current case filled his head as he walked.
All of this to say - he was not paying attention. Not one bit. Not even as he mindlessly ordered two coffees - one mocha latte with room for sugar and one black with cream and sugar. Not as he began to round the corners that he was starting to become familiar with from turning around so many times due to his near caffeine addiction.
Not even as another body rounded the same corner as him.
It wasn’t until the harsh impact came, the colliding of two people knocking hard into each other and hot coffee being dumped all over each other, that he really came back to reality.
Lexie gasped as the coffee crashed right onto her, burning through her scrubs and stinging her skin. She glanced up, wanting to look whoever just ruined her scrubs in the eye, and it was like the whole world slowed for a moment.
It was cute supposed FBI agent guy.
Her jaw went slack, practically hitting the floor, and all she could do was stare. She almost wanted to pinch herself, check if any of this was really real, but the hot coffee burning her skin told her it was true.
“I’m so sorry,” The words fell out of Spencer’s mouth in an instant. He glanced around in search of something, anything, that could clean up the mess he just made, but he was coming up empty. “Really, I am so sorry-”
Lexie shook her head. “It’s fine-”
Spencer’s eyebrows pinched together. “I just spilled hot coffee all over you, it is not fine.” Lexie could feel her heart skip a beat.
“No, really, it- it’s fine,” she chuckled. “I have another pair of scrubs in my locker, it’s okay.” Spencer didn’t seem satisfied with that answer.
Now it was his turn to shake his head. “Can I make it up to you? You know, for.. getting you doused in coffee and ruining your scrubs.”
Lexie hesitated for a moment. While he was very cute, and seemingly very sweet, she barely knew this guy.
But something inside her told her to take her chance.
“Uh,” she bit down on her bottom lip. She waited for a beat. “Yeah,” she found herself saying, “Yeah, why don’t you buy me a coffee?” Spencer’s whole face lit up at her answer.
Could you blame him, though? Even covered in coffee, the woman before him was absolutely stunning.
“My name’s Spencer,” he finally added. “Spencer Reid. Doctor Spencer Reid, actually.’” Lexie arched a brow at him, head tilting to the side. “Doctor, huh?” she echoed. “Are you, like, new around here, or something? Did you transfer from another hospital?”
“Oh, no. I- I’m not an MD, I’m, uh.. I’m a PhD.”
Lexie slowly nodded her head. “Right,” she muttered. The smile on her face couldn’t seem to budge. “Well, I’m Lexie,” she stuck a hand out to him, “Doctor Lexie Grey, MD.” They both grinned at her words before chuckling. Spencer found himself thinking her name was beautiful. He glanced down at her outstretched hand and then so did she, and for a moment they were both just staring at her hand.
Finally, he spoke up again, “I- I don’t do handshakes,” he spit out. “The number of pathogens passed during a handshake is staggering. It’s, uh- it’s actually safer to kiss.”
Lexie nodded her head once more and let her hand fall back to her side. She ran her palm down the side of her thigh, subtly trying to wipe the gathering sweat. A part of her was tempted to ask if he wanted to kiss her, but she held off. For now.
“So, are you a germaphobe, or something? Or do you just know a lot of different facts?”
“Both, actually,” he said. “I, uh, I have an eidetic memory, so I remember everything I read. A lot about bacteria.”
“An eidetic memory?” Lexie echoed. “Really?”
Spencer nodded, a smirk worming its way onto his lips as he began to rock himself on his heels. “And an IQ of 187 and I can read 20,000 words per minute.”
“Oh, so you’re some sort of super genius, is that what this is?”
Spencer shrugged and his smile seemed to grow. “I don’t think intelligence can be defined by arbitrary measures. But for all intents and purposes, I am a genius.”
“You know, that’s really weird, because I actually have a photographic memory,” Lexie said. She tilted her head to the side again. “Does that make me a genius, too?”
Spencer chuckled. “Well, being a doctor isn’t an easy thing to achieve. Especially being a surgeon. I would imagine you have to be fairly smart to become one.”
Lexie’s own smile seemed to grow as well. “Well, Dr. PhD, why don’t you tell me a little bit more about yourself?” She nodded her head in the direction she came from before she started to walk. And Spencer found himself following behind her.
For some reason, Spencer felt like he wasn’t going to regret spilling coffee on her.

Child au ideas
ut multiverse ideas ❤️
Wild Imagination
What if the multiverse is one big lie and was just a made up story by a bunch of childrens? Seems like a stretch but think about it, children have such wild Imagination and most of their stories come up of ethereal beings, magics, god just fantasy on an another level. This multiverse is specifically just a story made up by childrens, well child version's of the Main characters of course, the side characters are mostly just distant relatives, friends or just made up character that doesn't show up often. Character relationship & age Nightmare (Looks like passive) (Acts as corrupted Nightmare, King of negativity/and drama) age:8 *Dream's twin brother *Loves drama, very dramatic so he chose to be a villain *Loves fantasy story books * 'Big' brother Dream (Acts as the positive guardian) Age:8 *Night's twin brother *Loves hero stories *Loves cartoons *Often quarrels with twin brother but just light hearted and normal children quarrels. * 'younger' brother *Chose nightmare to be the 'big' brother Blueberry (Acts as Swap) Age:6 *Very honest and obedient *Lives Mexican food because he grew up in a Mexican family. *Has a brother named Honeycomb/Honey. (his papyrus's name) *Loves anime (influenced by Cross) *Loves cooking and play cook *Wants to be a Royal guard some day *Loves Knight in shining armor stories (same with Cross) *Besties with Ink, Dream, Cross and Rosie (Lust's name) *Cross's cousin Ink (Acts as protector of worlds) Age:7 *Loves drawing/painting but isn't allowed to paint because he's very messy *Loves Error (platonic) *Loves making friends *Loves kid's younger than him because he's an only child and wants a younger sibling. *Wants to play with Error a lot, often seen with him. *He's a cry baby when it comes to his stuff breaking or going wrong.reason why he quarrels with Error so much because Error is very clumsy and is a child and breaks Ink's stuff. Error (Acts as destroyer) Age:5 *Child *Does child stuff *Very clumsy and often breaks toys or paper *Slow learner *Probably autistic(?) *his brother's are Geno and Fresh *The only toys that survived his destructive baby hands are stuff toys. Geno (acts whatever he needs to be) Age:10 *Loves his brother's *Quite sickly but nothing deadly, like getting hospitalized 2-3 times a year and prone to fever. *Takes great care of his brother's *Has a crush on reaper (optional) *Very protective and caring Fresh (acts as the 'Parasite') Age:8 *Likes annoying Error *Loves his brother's *Very annoying *Tends to prank the kid's (reason why he's the parasite in the story) Killer (Acts as Nightmare's right hand man) Age:7 *Likes messing around and annoying people *Adhd kid *Very loud and confusing *Nightmare's best friend Horror: (acts as Nightmare's gang member) age:9 *Very sensitive to sound *Loves eating and sweets *probably broke a tooth because of it *Got into an accident when he was 6 and broke a part of his skull (not very big but big enough damage that it couldn't be healed) *Has SPD and Autism *Dust's big brother *Probably wearing a headset Dust (acts as a member of Nightmare's gang) Age:8 *Very silent *always sticks to Horror *Actually responsible *Very protective of his big brother *Loves playing with his friends Cross (Acts as someone who can't decide which side he's on) Age:7 *Always changing side because he can't decide and Dream and Nightmare doesn't care about it. *Loves chocolate, actually lost a tooth because of it (sneaking some sweets into bed and not brushing his teeth) *has a Brother named Apryx (his papyrus's name, age:11) *Loves knight stuff, swords or something similar to a soldier. Knight in shining armor type of fan. *Loves anime! (Influenced by his brother) *Swap's Cousin (add whatever ┐(´ー`)┌ )
Child of chaos
Error sans as a kid! Ink was excited, after decades of boredom the destroyer was fated to be created soon and he knows it! finally an enemy and entertainment! but when Ink realized that his enemy was a kid he wasn't sure anymore. The child destroyer was probably from one of those child ver. of aftertale that had played around with dt and no clip through reality and get thrown in the anti void, just like any other Error. Ink decided to just adopt him, it's kinda unfair to be fighting with a kid y'know? (Similar to G!Ink and G!Error story)
Surprise you're adopted!
Ink was supposed to be soulless but what if Ink, the creator was born a god with no world? he has a soul, he has feelings, he only needs his paints to strengthen himself when he's low on magic or for emergencies. at first he created so many worlds, so many possibilities but as decades came by he soon grew bored. When the multiverse reached their limit and the god of destruction came to destroy a couple of worlds he didn't bother saving any of it. He knows it's the other god's job and didn't wanna make the other's life hell. He doesn't play hero, he doesn't show up either, only core knows he exist and promised not to tell anybody. he doesn't even show up to the infamous destroyer. when dreamtale came that's when he intervened, maybe it's because unlike him and Error, they were just guardians and kids, they have a childhood, they could have a proper childhood. so what did he do? nothing, because he can't, Dreamtale isn't his, he can do nothing about it, but he can intervene once it's script was all finished, when Nightmare finally got corrupted and Dream became stone he took the stone child to his doodle sphere and set to capture the corrupted monster child while the kid is still in stone. It took decades but when Nightmare stopped being an insane idiot running around ruining timelines he was surprised adopted by Ink, Dream came out of stone yadda yadda yadda it's all good, they slowly became brother's again, btw Error's an uncle now and somehow the supposed gang became baby sitters.
(I need more Ink parent au's)
Too relatable (Not a Child au but an alternate version of Surprise you're adopted)
An alternate version of 'Surprise you're adopted'. Ink born god of creation was a cheerful and energetic creator decades ago, creating different worlds, the destroyer came when the multiverse reached it's limit due to an accident of creative spree, Ink didn't intervene and decided to befriend the destroyer, it was rough at first and rather violent but slowly but surely they became best friends (Error would never admit it).
Prince of darkness
After the corruption in which Nightmare regains sanity he wanders in the multiverse, he's as tall as a regular sans and grumpy most of the time, he's more like a teenager trying to act cool and scary. he finds his 'gang' along the way in which they know he's the youngest out of all of them and decided to spoil the crap out of him.

Do you think that LND is going to have a sad ending? The illness reveal was so upsetting.
putting my thoughts under the cut because this got long 😅
despite how upsetting that cancer illness reveal was (and believe me, i was very upset), i really don't think that LND is going to end on a sad note. i could definitely be wrong (so don't hold me to this), but i think that this drama, while showing us how unpredictable life can be, is also trying to show us how one is still able to persevere through times of hardship when they have the strength and support of their loved ones.
it's clear that seok-ryu is trying to hide her illness from her family and even friends, which is most likely why she asked her ex to accompany her to the hospital. since he was there the first time she got sick in the US, he's already aware of her health history and can keep her diagnosis confidential. we also now know that seok-ryu's time in the US was riddled with near constant stress and anxiety, workplace harassment, feelings of isolation from her friends/family/homeland, and severe illness. flashbacks in the earlier episodes gave us a glimpse of how her ex majorly screwed up and prioritized other things (like partying? cheating????) over seok-ryu and neglected her when she needed him most, so i think this recent health scare is meant to show that seok-ryu will finally heal (both mentally and physically) with the love and support of her family and friends.
i went back and watched the long promotional trailer for LND, and there's one scene that we haven't seen yet that I believe will air in one of two scenarios: 1) when it's seok-ryu's birthday, or 2) when she's back from the hospital and on the mend. the scene is of her and her family, seung-hyo, and mo-eum all wearing tiny party hats and watching seok-ryu eat at the table while her mom says that "they're a family that shares the harsh, sad moments together". once her sickness is finally revealed, i'm sure that her parents will finally understand seok-ryu's dream of being a chef and their dynamic will change for the better. preparing and eating food for seok-ryu is healing, and food has always been about sharing parts of yourself with those you love.
i believe jung hae-in and jung so-min when they said that this was a healing drama, and that it gets a lot happier/and more heart-fluttering in episodes 11-16! it's obviously going to be painful until we get there, but hopefully next week's episodes will wrap up the angst and the annoying ex can finally get lost lmao.
if you're still watching, let's hang in there together 💓 if you're not, please take care of yourself and i hope you find something else to watch that makes you happy and warm inside!

CW:Minors DNI, (18+ ONLY), Female Reader, legal age gap (Reader- 20's, William - 50's), graphic acts of violence, biting, knife-play, blood, blood-drinking/licking, mention of dead children, anaemia. Mentions of torture. Drama. Possessive behaviour. The suit stays ON
The lights seemed too bright as you opened your eyes, groaning against them and looking around as you tried to orient yourself. Ears attuning to the sound of beeps and machines whirring, people walking and talking just outside of where they were fully clear. The white tiled ceiling staring back at you. Sitting up slowly, you winced, noticing an IV in your arm, attached to some form of fluids, quickly glancing at the bed told you that you were in some form of hospital bed. Heart pounding quickly and making the monitor besides you jump erratically, summoning a nurse who was passing by.
"You're awake, excellent! I-"
"What have you put me on?" You ask, glancing at the bag, the nurse smiling as she realised that you were probably a little confused.
"Saline and iron, now you-"
"Any medications? I can't be taking any medications." You said, making the nurse sigh slightly, her smile remaining in place however as she shook her head slightly.
"You were dehydrated and anaemic, so only fluids and iron. I'm surprised you came around so quickly honestly!" She giggled like it was meant to be some joke, but you just stared at her. Making her shift uncomfortably after a moment as you upheld it. Maybe your time with William had changed you more than you cared to admit.
"Now, I'm going to grab the doctor and some forms, as we need to have them filled out now you're awake. Your insurance should cover all this for sure!" The nurse smiled, your eyes watching her as she scooted out of the room. As soon as she was out of sight, you reached behind the monitors and pulled out some wires that looked important, the machine switching off and stopping the infernal beeping, pulling the attachment from your finger and hissing as you pulled the IV from the crook of your elbow. Folding your arm up to put pressure on it and reduce the bleeding.
You weren't going to stick around, you had to figure out where you were. Where Michael and Elizabeth had gone. Where William was. Your eyes welled up as you recalled how feral he'd looked with the bridle on, forcing him to compliancy, and you made a promise to yourself that you would rescue him from whatever hell he'd been placed into next.
Looking around, you eventually found a tiny locker next to the bed, wrangling it open and finding your clothes, you got dressed quickly, discarding the paper thin hospital gown and feeling more comfortable in your own clothes. Sticking your fingers in your pockets, you frowned as you felt some paper in there, pulling it out and unravelling two fifty-dollar bills and a note, reading the elegant looping handwriting carefully.
'I'm sorry you might not know where you are. I dropped you off far away so you could give yourself a new life, and some money for your troubles. -Elizabeth Afton'
Pulse racing, you shoved one of the bills and the note into your pocket, glancing out of the door to the room before padding quietly down the hall. Realising that you needed some things if you were going to go and find Afton. Nobody questioned you, or where you had come from, but you headed straight for the hospital shop. Picking up a pair of cheap, thin shoes, some socks, a soda and a sandwich, paying for them quickly before you put the shoes and socks on.
Now to figure out where you were.
~~
Michael swung his foot forwards and felt his face splitting into a grin as William doubled over, yell muffled as he doubled over in pain. Unable to stand or use his arms to block it as he was bound. And the bloody baseball bat in the corner, splinters missing from it with the force which it had hit him, was another good reason.
His son had been taking sick pleasure over the past few days with torturing him, unable to feed, unable to heal and unable to talk or bite back. Years of vexations and pain was being poured back into him, and William had begun to believe he almost deserved it. Mike grabbed his head and made him upright again, greenish grey eyes staring at him with pure hatred behind them as he smirked. The same cruel look he'd seen so many times on his son's face when he bullied Evan to tears.
"You're not so big anymore are you? God I remember how you used to fucking belt me for making Evan cry." Mike laughed bitterly, receiving a glare from William, he hated being unable to bite back at his brat of a son. To retort and make himself big again, William Afton was not the kind of man who did well with feeling small.
"But then...you come home, changed. You start wearing sunglasses more, refusing to eat dinner with us. I thought; 'perhaps he's getting so blackout, his liver might go'." Mike continued, picking up a switch-blade from the floor and raking it down William's skin, listening to the muffled hisses, the air rushing through his nose as he desperately tried to hold onto air. "And then...I happen to be there when you come home. You looked so pissed. Desperate even."
Placing the point against William's shoulder and driving it in, he watched his father squirm and shout against the plate that meant he couldn't speak. The same plate that he'd used on him more than once to 'teach him a lesson'.
"Do you even remember what I tasted like? When you almost tore me apart? How long did you wait after you snapped my neck?" He asked, driving the tip in further as William screamed, Mike's face contorting into a scowl as it didn't reach deep enough for his liking, leaving the blade in his shoulder and examining his bloody hands.
"Did you realise that Evan and Lizzie were home?"
Chuckling, he smacked the hilt of the blade, making William wince and try to pant as it scraped against bone in his shoulder before Mike pulled it free, flicking the worst of the blood off to one side. Head tilting to one side slightly as he laughed, a bitter sound as he examined the line-up of tools he had against the wall, deciding which one was next to test out.
"I guess I can thank you for one thing, father. You always hated me, because I was cruel like you. And now...now you're the one who can't stop me." He sneered as he picked up a crowbar, feeling the heavy weight in his hand before he swung it violent at William's head.
~~
You'd managed to figure out where you were once you made it outside the hospital. Moving quickly as you heard a tannoy system activating inside and garbled words that you assumed meant 'missing patient' seemed to send everybody inside into a frenzy. Scarfing down your food as you walked, you headed straight for a bus-stop. Looking through the list of destinations with a frown, finishing off the last bites as a bus pulled into the stop. Moving out of the way to allow people off and on, you studied the route map intensely.
"Where are you headed love? Maybe I can help?" The driver asked, making you jump slightly as you looked at him, barely glancing back to the route before making your mind up. Elizabeth might have taken you some way, but you were running on determination.
"Hurricane. I was visiting a friend and caught a lift up, but now I need to make my way back." Not technically a lie, but the driver nodded as he hummed for a moment, pulling out a map book and running his chubby fingers over the pages before he turned back to you.
"You want the four-twenty-seven bus. It'll take you one city over and from there, you'll have to ask again." He offered and you smiled, nodding your thanks as you took a seat at the stop. The digital clock on the wall ticking by all too slowly as the bus departed, counting down precious minutes.
You somehow knew that you had to make it to Freddy's. William had an unhealthy obsession with the place, and something in your gut made you think of the ghost children, how they seemed afraid of Afton. The thought made your stomach sink into your chest, not wanting the sickening revelation that popped into your head to be true.
A cold burst of air next to your arm caught your attention, and you glanced down at where it had touched. Frowning as you saw nothing there and turning your attention back to the clock.
'Do you...really want to save him?'
The tiny voice was almost impossible to hear, but you recognised it deep in the back of your mind. You offered your hand silently to the open space and felt the cold touching it after a few moments. Mulling over your words.
"It's complicated." You answered, looking roughly where you would expect a child to be sat before returning your gaze to straight ahead. Wondering how the ghost had managed to follow you to a town three hours away from the restaurant. But it sounded weak, like it was trying to talk through a string-phone across a campsite.
'Didn't...he..hurt..you?'
"Yes... But I just...I'm used to him now. It feels strange to go without him. There are moments when he's almost human again." Explaining to air, you felt the cold moving up your arm and moving your hair slightly, the faintest touch as you kept your eyes focused on the floor before the sensation disappeared, releasing you from it's spell and making your heart pound as you wondered what was going on to force the spirits out to find you.
~~
"Mike, he's not going to get his punishment if you beat him to a pulp before we go through with it." Elizabeth tutted, looking at the bloody floor and the distinctly slightly mis-shapen body of her father. Mike was coated too, dropping the crow-bar from his grip and watching William's fingers twitch as his nerves continued to fire, trying to repair himself even now. Sighing, he wiped his face with his forearm, taking off some of the sweat before he turned to his baby sister.
Elizabeth's face was starting to become lined with age, her hair tied back into a pony-tail and secured with a red ribbon that made Mike smile slightly. The same way she had loved to wear it as a kid, some things would never change.
"Sorry Lizzie, I just..."
"I know Mike...But you've got to remember what we're doing this for." He nodded as Elizabeth reached out her hand cautiously and held his in hers. Looking at her father as he twitched and groaned, despite the fact that any human who had sustained that much damage would certainly be dead. It was hard for her to keep reminding herself that he wasn't human. The proof was in the fact he looked the same as he did almost forty years ago, let alone the blood spilt in his name and by his hands.
He lost the right to be human when he'd almost killed Charlie Emily.
If it hadn't been for the stranger walking past, Charlie would never have been found in that back alley, body wrapped under the security puppet that Henry Emily designed. She was alive, barely. And Elizabeth had always made sure once she was grown that there was a mysterious benefactor for the Emily family, alongside Mike. They felt responsible for the fact that Charlie was wheelchair bound, that her father never got the solace to know that her attacker was brought to justice.
It always turned Elizabeth Afton's stomach that nobody knew it was her father who had done such a thing.
But it was all going to end. The remaining Afton siblings were going to end their father's reign of terror, and perhaps bring peace to whatever afterlife there may be that he was rotting in hell. They had spent years tracking him down, biding their time.
They knew he would revert to his true nature eventually.
"Go get the suit please Mike. I'm sure dad's well acquainted with what the insides look like, he'll be staring at them for a long time to come." she breathed, and Mike nodded, giving her hand a gentle squeeze before he wandered off into the restaurant, looking for the final piece of the trap that had been set.
~~
The closer you got the Hurricane, you felt the cold air around you increasing. You treated it like a person, your hand often dangling open at your side as you walked between buses and stations, feeling the cold air engulfing your hand as if the small child had taken a hold of your hand, holding you close in case they got lost.
It was dark by the time you made it into Hurricane, and you had the bus drop you off near to William's house. Still having to walk a way down the side of the road as you approached the house, seeing the lights all turned off and leaving it looking dark and ominous.
His car was still in the drive, and you felt grateful that you'd had some experience driving it. Heading inside, you were somewhat surprised that the door was unlocked, but you headed inside and found some old cardboard boxes. Looking around as you tried to figure out what in his life was important.
Time was running out.
'Do you need help?'
You'd almost forgotten about your silent friend, and you nodded. The cold moving up your arm and making you sharply inhale, spluttering as your lungs burnt with cold for a moment before it felt like one side of your body was filled with pins and needles. Blinking rapidly as your arm raised up by itself and your hand moved, clenching and unclenching as if testing out the movement.
'Sorry if this feels strange'
"You're alright. Thank you for helping." You said softly, allowing yourself to walk around and be poked into the right directions by the ghost sharing your body. It was a strange sensation, like your body had fallen asleep on one side and even though you were aware you were moving, you weren't doing it fully consciously. But whoever was sharing your body seemed to know William well, picking out what they deemed to be the most important and placing them into the box sort of haphazardly for your more 'awake' side to sort out and pack neatly.
"Are you...An Afton?" You asked, the side of your body being controlled pausing for a moment, the cold washing over you as you felt the question forming in your mind.
'Evan'
"Mike's your brother? That means William's your dad, right?" The little voice fell silent again as it slowly controlled your hand again, picking up things and placing them with a little more care into the boxes you dragged around the house.
'I know how you feel...Mike hurt me and..I still love him.'
"Mike hurt you?" the surprise evident in your voice as you almost felt a mental nod, Evan's hand nervously picking at itself through you and you watched it with some sadness. Like he was too nervous to talk about it, but finally summing up the courage.
'He didn't know what happened to him. He came in, and he was scarier than usual. He grabbed Lizzie first, and she didn't make any noise... it was strange. And then he grabbed me...it went all warm and fuzzy, even though I was cold.'
Mike's ability had been used on his siblings. You felt a pang in your chest as you felt some relief that at least it hadn't been painful for Evan, you knew all too well how easy it was to slip under when Mike bit you.
"Then how come you can move Fredbear?" You asked, curiosity piqued as you watched Evan putting some books into the boxes as well as boxes filled with blue-prints and metal pieces.
'Mike panicked. He put me in Fredbear, made it look like an accident so nobody would ask too many questions.'
"That's horrible!"
'I still love him...does that make me a bad person, miss?' You paused as he asked the question, wondering what he meant before the tiny voice continued 'My mom used to say that only bad people love people who've done bad things.'
"You're not a bad person Evan, you love your brother. He's...He's got issues, and I don't blame him for that. He hurt me too. Do you think I'm a bad person?" You asked, feeling the mental head-shake from the ghost as you shrugged, admittedly one sidedly. "Then how can you be a bad person."
Evan remained silent this time, moving slowly to help point out important items, and giving you full control back of your body as you loaded up the car with the boxes. Grabbing William's keys and locking up the house, you hoped that it would still be there, waiting for him to come back when you'd done. Adjusting the seat and mirrors, catching a brief glance of something blurry in the reflective surface as you adjusted them, but you started the car, carefully driving it towards Freddy's.
~~
Pulling up behind the building, you didn't notice any other cars nearby but you made sure to park in the most out of the way spot you could find. The cold air that was Evan's ghost had disappeared the closer you got to the place, and you felt your heart pounding a nervous tattoo under your skin as you faced the building for only the third time in your life.
As you went to open the door, you almost screamed as the face of a plush purple rabbit pressed against the glass, waving slowly, making you wave back before it pushed open the door with stiff movements. You guess Evan had gone inside and told the others to play nicely, though you weren't entirely sure about it.
'Is she really coming to save him?'
'She likes him. Don't you remember having crushes and you wanted to do anything for them?' Evan's tiny ghostly voice would have made you blush and smile if you weren't hyper aware of any movement potentially alerting the Afton siblings of your presence.
Heading further into the dark, you trod carefully. Something acidic hitting your nose and making you pause as you felt your shoe press into something wet on the carpet. Breathing deeply before you paused.
Gasoline. They were going to burn down the pizzeria.
Moving quickly, you heard the heavy thumps of animatronics moving about before a movement caught your eye and you ducked behind a pillar on the wall. Seeing the handsome, angular features of Michael Afton in the low light, he looked around almost casually. You realised that the strong smell of gasoline offered you some protection from his senses, but you weren't willing to push it. Shuddering as he wiped blood from his hands against his t-shirt that he's changed into, sniffing and scrunching his nose in distaste as the scent in the place. Rolling his shoulders before he began to walk off into the dark again, allowing you to slip down the corridor that he'd come from.
Your feet were quiet against the tiled floor, listening and quietly testing each door you came to. Opening the door where you had hidden with William, seeing Fredbear's suit in the corner, blank eyes staring into your soul as you slipped inside. Carefully, you picked up the head, cradling it carefully before you listened for the sound of the heavy animatronic feet passing by.
Opening the door, you saw Foxy glaring at you, hook raised slightly as if he was about to swing before seeing you carry the golden Freddy head in your arms.
"I-I don't know if you can understand me, but you need to escape. They're going to burn the building. Can you take Evan and this key," whispering as you fumbled with they key set, taking off the Afton house key and gently placing it on his hook before holding out the head tenderly. "and let his show you where to go? You'll be safe there. I promise to come back for you."
The animatronic whirred and clicked, metallic parts struggling to move for a moment before Foxy's jaw opened and snapped shut, making his head wobble back and forth in a pseudo-nod. His hand taking the underside of the suit head before he turned slowly, stomping back down the hall, hopefully to retrieve the others and escape.
You began to move again, hoping that you would be able to find your way out of the restaurant in time as you tried the last door on the corridor. Gasping as the smell of iron hit you in the face, eyes adjusting to the dim lighting before you spotted what you had come for. Shoulders slumping as you cautiously approached.
The once yellow rabbit was slumped against the wall, and you could see blood soaking the fur. Pooling beneath it and spreading across the tile like black ichor in the low light. Falling to your knees, you stared at what to all intents and purposes looked like a corpse. Something in the way that he was slumped over told you that the mechanisms inside that you had set off when you first met William had popped and contributed to the bleeding. You wondered if his head had been damaged. Truly trapped inside a prison of his own making.
Tears welled up in your eyes, staring at him helplessly before you crawled through the gore and laid your head against his shoulder, arms around the thick middle and letting yourself cry for a moment. You weren't sure what you were mourning, but they flowed freely, and the hot salt rolling down your cheeks felt like it released a tension you didn't know you'd been carrying. Quietly sobbing and making the suit wetter than it already was.
You almost missed the tiny, rattling breath from inside.
Hearing it, you paused, trying to contain your hiccupping breaths as you listened for it again. Seeing the fingers on his gloved left hand twitching almost imperceptibly. Hope swept through you like a crashing wave, and you struggled to your feet, hooking your arms under his and grunting as the dead weight pressed against your much smaller body.
"William...if you can hear me... I've got you." You whispered close to the suit, watching the mechanical ear twitch slightly as you spoke. Grunting as you pulled him along the tiles, trying to not slip over in his blood as you managed to shoulder open the door. Eyes widening as you saw flames licking at the end of the hallway, black smoke curling up to the ceiling and crawling along it.
You had to escape.
Looking at the grimy walls, you spotted a fire-plan, scanning it briefly before you began to drag William with you down a different turning. Sweating as the heat in the building increased and from the heavy work, William was not a light man at the best of times, and now the added weight of the suit wasn't helping your cause. Panting as you managed to pull him towards the door, coughing as the smoke began to cling to everything, burning your eyes as you fumbled with the fire-door. The bar refusing to give out before you slammed your whole weight against it, hissing in pain as it felt like something in your shoulder popped trying to get it to move.
Grabbing the yellow suit again, you felt out of breath moving him into the cool night air, feeling the suit shudder at the change in temperature.
In the light of the flames, you could faintly make out two figures stood in front, holding onto each other as they watched the building go up in flames. The Afton siblings. You felt some sadness for them, that it had come to this to get over everything that had happened in their life. Turning towards the woods out back, you saw the faintly glowing eyes of five animatronics peering at the flames, watching at least one pair slide over to you before they turned and began to walk through the brush. You hoped that they made it to the house okay. They were children after all.
Opening the car door, it took a while of effort to haul William into the back seat, hearing a quiet rasping breath as you winced, the suit barely moving as you guessed animatronic parts held him still. Placing him as comfortably as you could manage before climbing into the driver's seat, bloody and tired as you managed to start the car and slip out onto the highway, not sure if Elizabeth and Michael noticed you, but you were too focused on driving.
You weren't sure where you would go. But you needed somewhere safe for the night where you could assess the damage.
You needed somewhere where you could make sure William was alive.

Kitty (part 11)
Rei x (afab) reader Parts 1-10 here.
-
The second episode of Kazuki’s beloved drama ends on a cliffhanger – literally – when he and Rei approach your booth, their conversation with Kyu seemingly concluded. You take out the headphones and smile at the two of them, but they both seem a little hesitant.
“Everything o-o-okay?”
“Yeah, all good,” Kazuki beams, forcefully. “Sorry, took a little longer than we thought. I’m gonna go grab some groceries. You must be hungry, though, so you and Rei can hang here and have some lunch. Kyu’s just gonna bring over some soup.” He speaks at a mile a minute, not quite making eye contact.
You go to offer to help Kazuki with the shop when Rei slides into the seat next to you, bumping your knee as he does so. You scoot over to give him some more room, his body now caging you into the wall.
“Can I watch too?” He gestures to one of the headphones and you nod and he takes one, popping it in his ear.
“Good idea! The finale’s on tonight as well so we can watch that together, huh?” Kazuki spins on his heels and heads towards the door before you can respond.
You go to look at Rei, a question on your tongue when his hand grabs yours under the table and squeezes. “It’s starting.”
“Okay,” you say and pick up the other headphone, placing it in. Unbeknownst to you, his eyes are firmly fixed on the café door and not on the laptop screen, his right hand in position over his hip where his gun resided.
--
The café remains eerily quiet as the two of you work your way through the remaining episodes, accompanied with a bowl of soup and another round of drinks, Rei holding your hand the whole time. Sometimes he runs his thumb gently, repetitively, across your knuckles. Other times he squeezes firmly, as if he wants to check you’re still there. You don’t ask where he went that morning or talk about what occurred last night.
Kazuki returns just ahead of the time one of you would set off to pick up Miri from daycare.
“Rei, you go get Miri. Kitty and I will head home – I’ve gone a little overboard at the shop…” He orders as he packs up his laptop. Rei nods, sharing a look with Kazuki – one you think means something, but what you don’t know. Kazuki pays for the food and drinks and you thank Kyu for the hospitality.
“See you soon, Kitty.” He smiles, warmly, and you nod. Something seems off, but it’s just the polite thing to say, isn’t it?
As soon as you get back to the apartment, Kazuki is in full chef mode. It’s as if it’s a celebration feast – is it someone’s birthday? - but you’re not sure of the occasion. He asks if you’ll unpack some of the many brown paper bags the two of you carried in from the car.
You can’t help the puzzled look on your face when you unpack a third celebration cake. “Everything just looked so good,” he shrugs, scratching the back of his hand, “And I left it too late to cook everything from scratch, so…”
When Miri and Rei return home, they’re soon put to work. Everyone has a task – Miri is setting the table, Rei is making some rice balls. Kazuki gives him strict instructions to not fill them all with cereal and strawberry jam – Miri protests that she does want them all like that and that you absolutely have to try them – and Kazuki throws his hands up in the air with a laugh, “Okay, I know when I’m fighting a losing battle.”
Dinner is a lavish affair – Kazuki has abandoned his carefully crafted vitamin-rich menu he’s been serving you recently – a combination of home-made snacks, a bunch of junk food, candy, cakes, even an ice-cream cake, of all things. Miri, unsurprisingly, crashes from a sugar coma not long after you finish. It takes you and Zuki a full 30 minutes boxing up all the leftovers and cramming them into the fridge, as Rei takes Miri up to bed after managing to wake her up briefly enough to coerce her into brushing her teeth.
The finale of the drama begins at 9pm – Kazuki’s on the armchair and you’re beside Rei on the sofa. You’re not really sure you’re going to make it through the whole thing, despite the many explosions that seem to be going on. After seeing all the episodes today, they’re beginning to lose their impact but Kazuki is clutching a pillow to his chest as he anxiously watches. Your eyelids are growing heavier by the second - a combination of the broken sleep of last night, your stomach contentedly full and the beginning of a sugar high crash all catching up on you. Rei’s sitting so close to you, your arms brushing up against each other as you breathe.
Suddenly, the villain pops up unexpectantly on the screen, almost like a horror movie, causing both you and Kazuki to jump. Kazuki clutches the pillow tighter and you lean into Rei, placing a head on his chest and grabbing onto his arm to ground you. His arm wraps around your shoulders and pulls you in closer as you try your best to remain focused on the action on the screen and not on the solid chest your hand has landed on. As the drama continues, Rei pulls you even tighter into his side until, eventually, your head comes to rest just below his shoulder. He’s so warm and smells so good. It’s a combination of laundry detergent, the musk of the body spray he uses, the slight strawberry scent from his hair – he must have used Miri’s shampoo again – and something else you can only describe as uniquely Rei.
On screen, the action draws to a close as the protagonists succeed and they begin to tie up loose ends. It’s so obvious the leads are going to get together now that the world is saved, so it wouldn’t be so bad to close your eyes for a moment, would it? Just a moment…
A few minutes later, Rei smiles as he feels you relax fully in his embrace as the credits begin to roll on the screen, your breathing slipping into the slow and steady rhythm of sleep.
He can feel Kazuki’s stare burning on him. His partner had gone back and forth for hours at Kyu’s earlier after the initial agreement – coming up with more and more outlandish plans of how the family could be kept together.
“I know it’s selfish…” Rei murmurs softly, careful not to wake you. “..but let me pretend for a little longer that I can have a different life.”
The blonde gets to his feet and walks behind the sofa, pausing to softly squeeze Rei’s shoulder, wordlessly.
--
You wake up, slowly, a little surprised to find yourself nuzzled under Rei’s arm on the couch – lying down on the couch to be exact. You’re not sure how that happened. You’re on the outside edge, but Rei has his arms wrapped around you tightly, making sure you don’t fall. He’s staring at the ceiling.
“Morning,” he says, quietly. He must’ve heard you begin to stir.
“Morning?” You question – seeing that the sun has indeed risen through the blinds. “Oh.” You look up, trying to get a look at his face. The dark rings underneath his eyes have returned. “D-did you s-sleep?”
He shrugs.
“W-why didn’t you w-wake me up?”
“I was comfy. I’ll catch up later, it’s fine.”
Before you can question further, you hear Kazuki’s door open from above and the blonde emerges, black circles also clearly visible under his eyes. You wonder if he’ll comment about the fact that you two are cuddled on the sofa at this early hour, but he wishes you both a good morning before he starts preparing breakfast.
You untangle yourself from Rei’s limbs as you sit up, stretching.
“Hey, Kitty,” Kazuki calls, casually, as he cracks some eggs. “We’re going on a trip after we drop Miri at daycare, if you wanna hop in the shower.”
“Okay,” you nod. “W-where are w-we g-going?”
“It’s a surprise.”
--
Kazuki remains coy about where you’re going when you climb back in the car after Miri’s been dropped off at daycare. He asked you to take her in whilst they waited and the little girl gave you an enthusiastic hug around your legs as always before she ran off to greet her friends. Taking the car to daycare seemed a rare occurrence – often opting to walk or cycle instead. You saw Kazuki place a duffel bag in amongst Miri’s daycare bags in the trunk this morning, though, and whilst you’d been eating breakfast, you could swear you saw Rei leaving your shared room with that exact bag in hand. Maybe it’s something for a mission. You’re aware they keep the guns in there – in the back of one of the closets – locked away tightly from Miri’s hands.
Rei’s staring at you via the rear-view mirror but when you smile, he returns a forced one. It looks strained and doesn’t quite reach his eyes. It’s weird - he’s probably tired though, you reason. You can’t believe he stayed there all night like that on the sofa with you, but you’d be lying if you didn’t admit it was one of the best sleeps you’ve.
You’re out of the city now, driving down the motorway for an age in silence before Kazuki finally pulls into a service station car park. He seems to purposedly drive the furthest away from the few other cars parked there this morning and aims for one parked solitary on its own. There’s a figure leaning against it and as the car approaches, you realise it’s Kyu. There’s now an uneasy feeling in your stomach.
Kazuki turns off the engine, unclips his seatbelt and opens the door to get out. “Come on, Kitty.” He calls over his shoulder. The door slams shut.
Rei doesn’t make a move, still staring at you via the mirror.
“Rei,” you swallow, your mouth feeling extremely dry all of a sudden. “W-what’s going o-on?”
He doesn’t reply but finally breaks his gaze and his eyes drop down to stare into his lap. “I’m sorry, Kitty.”
Kazuki seems in a hurry as he opens your door before you can even ask what Rei’s apology is for. “Come on.” He repeats and you get out of the car without even thinking about it properly – almost as a reflex. Will that ever truly go away?
“Morning,” Kyu greets politely. “We ready?” Ready – ready for what?
“Yeah,” Kazuki nods. “Kitty, can I see your phone?”
You don’t want to give it to him – something’s definitely off. You want to know what’s going on, someone to let you in on the secret. But it’s his phone, he gave it to you and though he’s posed it as a question, you know a veiled order when you hear one.
He smiles as you pull it out from your jacket pocket and place it in his outstretched hand. He clasps it for a second but then, suddenly, drops it – deliberately. It bounces on the concrete and he crushes it under his foot.
“Did you really have to be that dramatic with it?” Kyu sighs.
“I-I d-don’t un-un-understand.” You can feel your breath catch in your throat and you’re beginning to panic, exacerbating that stupid stutter. Kazuki is now opening the trunk of the car, retrieving the duffel bag. He passes it to Kyu.
“You need to go, Kitty.” Kazuki shrugs – you can tell it’s deliberate, though. He’s trying to be casual but he’s a terrible actor.
“G-go?”
“We should’ve done this in the first place. Kyu’s found you a refuge. He’s going to take you there, and they’ll help you start your new life.”
“N-n-new l-life?” This doesn’t make sense.
“It’s for the best, okay? Let’s not make a bigger thing than it is.”
A bigger thing than it is? You look back at the yellow car desperately but Rei’s still staring at his lap. Does he agree with this?
“I d-don’t un-un-un-under…”
“You don’t need to.” Kazuki snaps, cutting across you and your stomach sinks. “You’re going with Kyu and that’s it.”
“No.” You force out in one, determined not to cry. “I d-d-don’t w-want to. No.”
“Kitty…”
“You s-said I have to say w-what I want. So, I w-want to s-stay with you, Z-Zuki. With you and Miri and… And with R-Rei.”
“It’s not up for discussion.” He rubs his temples – you’ve seen him do it when he’s frustrated with Miri or Rei over things. “Look, it’s an order - you understand those, don’t you?”
The venom in his voice hurts. Does it hurt so much more because it’s coming from Kazuki, who’s been nothing but sweet to you since the first conversation all those weeks ago? Was it all a cruel trick this whole time?
“Kazuki…” Kyu starts, as if trying to ease the situation, but the blonde holds up his hand to stop him. He walks to the side of Kyu’s car and opens the rear passenger seat.
“Get in, please.”
You stare at the interior of Kyu’s car, but don’t move. Why isn’t Rei out here? He can’t agree with all this. The glances, the touches, the hand-holding, the cuddles, the date, the unsaid words…
“Now!” Kazuki’s voice breaks as he slams his fist against the top of the car and you feel you might faint.
“Enough.” Kyu hisses, grabbing Kazuki’s arm and pulling him away from the vehicle. He’s facing the other way now, but you see his shoulders shudder. Is he crying?
“Kitty,” Kyu says in a softer voice, “please get in the car.”
You swallow hard and look back towards the car at Rei again, pleading for him to look up. Maybe if you can just get him to meet your eyes he’ll come talk some sense into Kazuki. Had you imagined everything? It just doesn’t make any sense. Why doesn’t it make sense?
You can’t get back in the bright yellow car. You can’t run – the way Kazuki’s acting, you believe he’ll chase you down… The only option is Kyu’s back seat. You don’t want to get in, but Kazuki’s words circle round your brain – you understand orders if nothing else, right?
The blonde’s shoulders are still shuddering as you force your legs to move forward towards the car. Suddenly, a door opens and you jerk your head in the direction. Rei is getting out the car now – at last – he’ll explain it to you, there’ll be a reason for all this and you’ll feel silly for getting upset. Kazuki didn’t mean any of those things, right? Rei’s hands are in his pockets as he approaches and you can’t read his expression.
“Rei…” Kazuki’s voice cracks again, but he trails off as Rei strides past him, straight to your side. His arm is suddenly around your waist and he’s guiding you towards the back seat, somehow encouraging you to sit down.
“I-I d-don’t u-understand.” There’s tears running down your face now – the barrier broken.
“You need to go, Kitty.” He crouches down and takes your hand. “It’ll be all right.” But you don’t believe him.
He wipes away a few tears from your cheek with his thumb, before bringing your other hand up to his lips and kissing your knuckles gently, briefly, before placing your hand back down in your lap. He gets up and shuts the door and you can’t watch as he walks away.
There’s muffled conversation between Kyu and Kazuki, but your heart is pounding in your ears and you can feel your breath catch in your throat. You can’t have one of those now, aren’t you pathetic enough?
You dig the nails of your left hand into your palm, using your right hand to wipe the hot tears off your face as you force yourself through the counts of four, steadying your breath. When it begins to settle, you hear the trunk open behind you. Kyu places something in and, as he does so, you swear you hear Kazuki bite down a loud sob. But you don’t look back, you can’t.
The trunk slams shut and you jump a little. Kyu’s getting in the front seat now, turning the engine on. Your breathing is steadier and you put your seat belt on without prompt, but your heart is still thudding in your chest. If he’s saying something to you at that moment, you don’t hear it.
You want to wake up now, please can you wake up? You pinch yourself hard on the forearm. This has to be a nightmare. You’re going to wake up in your bed - sweaty, heart thudding, short of breath, but then Rei is going to be there and he’ll hold you and assure you it’s okay, everything’s okay, they’d never do that to you, he’d never do that to you. You’re going to wake up and Kazuki will be making French toast, you’ll colour with Miri on the coffee table, smiling as you watch her concentrate hard on her drawings…
A mantra starts to reverberate around your head, maybe if you say it enough times it’ll work, it’ll come true. You’re going to wake up now, you’re going to wake up now, you’re going to wake up now.
“I know it probably doesn’t feel like it, Kitty, but this really is for the best.” Kyu speaks up from the front seat.
Please wake up.

Hello! I would be very grateful if you would be able to post the list either for the Kidnapping fics or for the Possessive/Obsessive fics. I've recently gotten more brainrot than usual and AO3's searching's for more niche/dark topics like these in the style that I want is difficult.
Thank you for your service for this community.
