#1 Day of asking random shit to blogs I follow because I can and I want to + boredom
Do you have any Undertale OCs and/or your own Undertale AU? If you do, can you explain the lore? :]
I'm more of an AU rewriter actually. I'm taking popular AUs and try to make them more realistic and mature (and more political, I love the Underground politics, that's like my favorite subject).
So far, I'm working on Horrortale with my fanfiction Horrortale : Rotten Apple, which is actually more of a pre-Horrortale fanfiction, since I'm working on the events between when Frisk left the Underground and the famine. So far, it's like 20 chapters and Undyne is still not queen. I want her coup d'état to be violent and the result of months and months of bad decisions, not only her bad decisions, but also Toriel's ones as a ruler. Toriel is not a bad ruler at all, but she is impopular because of her exil in the Ruins and the fact that despite Asgore's death, who was loved by the Underground, she did nothing to prevent something like that to happen again. Undyne being the one Asgore's trained, monsters will slowly turn their back to Toriel, which will have consequences on other characters like Sans, Papyrus, Flowey or Grillby. Frisk is not the one responsible for all this either, as they are trying to save monsterkind in a world where adults don't believe them at all. That's a really difficult story to write, but I'm having so much fun with it.
The second one is Underfell, with my fanfiction No Weakness. It's a Papyrus centric fanfiction that takes place after a pacifist route. Since there's no reason for Asgore to let Frisk live, Frisk is actually still Underground, living the best life with Toriel, and protected by a pact formed by Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Mettaton and Alphys. The kid must stay a secret. But after some months, Papyrus is doubting the plan, as not only they could all be executed if something goes wrong, but there's also the problem of Frisk becoming more independant and asking more and more questions, and worse, taking Papyrus as an exemple, which he absolutely doesn't want because he is ashame of what he has to do every day to survive. No Weakness is also about Undyne, who suddenly starts to act strange, which worried Papyrus, until one day, she left the guard. Papyrus is quite distressed and doesn't understand until Asgore announces his soon to come wedding with her on live TV. The only problem being that Papyrus knows Undyne hates him with all of her soul, and that she is not there willingly. But Papyrus is also the general of the royal guard now, and as a general, you shut up and close your eyes on a lot of things. But Papyrus is really not sure he can do that.
The last one is the most close from an AU I guess, it's What is best for humankind. It's a war AU, focusing on Sans and Papyrus childhood. It's an AU because they are a lot younger in the games, so they couldn't live through the war, but I tried to make it coherent. Sans and Papyrus are forced to run away from their village one night, as humans are attacking. Gaster, their dad, being forced to fight, left them escape alone. Sans will have to protect his brother, and soon, a very small Undyne and a human through the devastated lands leading to Mount Ebott. It's both a survival story and a dramatic story as Sans will have to do and witness things he never should have, and face the betrayal of the only person who is supposed to keep him safe, his own father. Because this AU main story is about what being a judge means. In this world, the royal judge is not a job, it's a very rare class of monsters like boss monsters are. Judge monsters are very low HP monsters that can use karma magic, which is the same magic Sans use in his genocide battle in the game. During the war, the Judges, mainly pacifist, all died during the talks for a peace treaty, as the humans saw an opportunity to get rid of them all at once. The only problem being the magic the Judge develop can only activate if the Judge is traumatised and presents a abnormal level of determination. Sans is the only one left, he is not activated, and Gaster wants him to basically explodes in rage in the human castle to kill the Emperor. For this, he knows there's one solution that will sure piss him off enough: killing Papyrus. But Gaster is also the only one who is sure this plan will work, as both Toriel and Asgore are horrified by the idea. To stop the war, how far all of them are willing to go? That's the main story!
My last AU is a more classic one, it's a Sans x Reader fanfiction in a post-pacifist universe, Remember the good days. However, Sans is not exactly himself as he suffers terrible memory loss after a tragic attack during one of Frisk's speech. It's getting worse and worse as Sans is not enough stimulated with Papyrus in college. But Papyrus has a plan. He wants you to stimulate Sans, and he is even willing to pay for that. Surely he told Sans everything before hand and Sans won't hate you at all for this. ... Right?

New chapter incoming!!
Sea Of Hope Chapter 8
Previous Next SOH Master Grandmaster
This masterful piece of art was done by @aoi-kanna as a commission. They are truly talented and I appreciate all the hard work they put into making this for me. Go check them out, they are absolutely wonderful!!!
Story below or AO3 above.
~~~
While Axe checked you over, Edge grabbed Red by the back of the neck and stormed down the main hatch, loudly yelling at the rest of the crew to mind their own business as they scurried out of his way. For the most part, Red's protests went unheard as he was dragged down the steep steps. Blue, on the other hand, had hesitantly approached Papyrus, whispering something before they too turned and headed past the hatch, disappearing through a pair of doors into the upper levels of the ship.
The clearing of a throat had you tensing and pressing closer to Axe. Black had once again gotten closer than you were comfortable with, standing only a couple paces away. “AS HEARTWARMING AS THIS IS, IT IS QUICKLY BECOMING LATE AND THE LADY STILL NEEDS ADEQUATE DRESS. MY BROTHER’S COAT IS HARDLY A FITTING SUBSTITUTE.”
Rus chuckled beside him. However, when he made to comment, a look from Black had him looking down instead.
Axe narrowed his sockets. “Don’t know where you’re planning on get’n somethin. Ain’t exactly swimmin in extras and you’ve refused to mend mine so I could give it to her.”
Black scoffed. “YOU FAILED TO MENTION IT WAS FOR YOUR MARKED. YOU HAVE ALSO YET TO COMPLETE THE TASK I ASKED OF YOU. I DID NOT SEE THE POINT IN TURNING IN YOUR FAVOR WHEN MY OWN HAD BEEN UNMET.”
“Been busy.”
“AS WE’VE ALL.”
Something shifted in the air, both of their eyelights brightening. Rus glared, moving closer to his brother. It took Crooks placing a hand on Axe’s shoulder for the two to back down.
“Petty bastard.”
“WHEN IT SUITS ME.” With a flourish of a hand and a half step back, he indicated the direction of the doors, continuing to meet Axe’s gaze. “NOW, I BELIEVE WE SHOULD ATTEMPT TO FIND SOMETHING MORE SUITABLE UNTIL NEXT WE MAKE PORT. SURELY YOU CAN AGREE IT WOULD BE IN EVERYONE’S BEST INTEREST.”
“Fine, but we’re not leadin’.” You could hear the creak of Axe’s teeth.
“OF COURSE.” With a tight turn, Black nodded, marching forward with Rus trailing behind with a wink. "AS YOU WISH."
Axe refused to move at first, tugging his empty socket and prompting a sighing Crooks to nudge you both. "I Know You Don’t Like Him, But He Is Fair.”
“Bastard never does anything fer free.”
“And Yet, He Has A Point.”
Neither you nor Axe was reassured but allowed him to guide you forward regardless. Crewmen brave enough to linger eyed your group with various degrees of emotion. When a dog monster growled, another was quick to slap the back of their head, nervously hunching at a glare from both of your skeleton friends. You tried not to show your fear or your growing limp as you passed, hoping Rus' long coat hid what you couldn’t. It didn't seem like a good idea to show weakness around others. The watchful eyes and aggressive postures spoke volumes to your already heightened nerves. Entering the ship did nothing to ease your discomfort.
It felt cramped and pressing despite having more than enough space and light. Unlike the previous ship, several lanterns lit the expanse leaving no ominous shadows or darkened areas. You could easily see all the doors lining the walls as well as the beautifully carved and decorated windowed doors marking the end of the hall. Rus waited near the last door on the left.
It was calm and warm, but you couldn’t shake off the feelings of danger.
“Ya c’n go inside Darlin. Milord’s wait’n.” Rus stood to the side, motioning you inside the now open door.
You looked to your companions. While Axe kept his eyelight on Rus, Crooks’ soft smile and nod gave you enough of a boost to cautiously cross the threshold. It smelled of lavender tinted with something you couldn’t quite place, the overall size relatively small. What looked like a narrow modified canopy bed connected to the wall was on your right. In front of you, under a single window, was a rather lovely desk intricately carved with polished knobs. To your immediate left was an open decorative chest shoved in the corner. Everything was of exquisite taste and quality, from the bedding and carvings on the furniture to the upholstery on the chair at the desk. The few trinkets left out were of fine gold or silver with glistening jewels.
You jumped when the door closed behind you. Axe nor Crooks had made it inside. It had your stomach rolling with nerves. You did not anticipate having the others closed out. Having Black now between you and the only exit made it worse. His eyelights were too bright.
Didn’t Rus call him a lord...?
Your chest tightened at his approach, making sure to lower your gaze.
TRUE TO MY WORD, THAT HORROR’S GARMENT HAS BEEN MENDED. HAD I KNOWN IT WAS FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, I NEVER WOULD HAVE HELD ONTO IT.” In his hands was a large linen shirt, neatly folded and dark in color. Holding it out, he offered it to you. “PUT IT ON. I WILL ADJUST IT AS NEEDED AFTER.”
You froze, intently focusing on the simple article of cloth. Was he expecting you to do it here and now? In front of him? Wasn’t it bad enough you were laid bare in front of all those on the deck, or stars, when you pressed yourself against Blue? At least Axe had good reason to see you. Multiple! To willingly undress now in the presence of a man other than your husband...
By the angel, what would Axe think of all this?
Black must have noticed your silent panicked uncertainty when you didn’t immediately take it. Clearing his throat, something in his tone changed. “I SHALL, OF COURSE, REFRAIN FROM LOOKING WHILE YOU DO SO. YOU MAY LEAVE MY BROTHER’S COAT ON THE CHAIR WHEN YOU ARE READY.”
It was hard not to squirm. While that was greatly appreciated, it still felt uncomfortable. Could you trust his word? You hardly knew the man. Perhaps things may have felt different if the room wasn’t quite so stifling or the door hadn’t been shut so suddenly.
Luckily, heavy thumps in the hall distracted Black enough for him to hand you the garment himself, squinting at the door behind him. He was just about to speak again when another set of thumps sounded, this time shaking the door. Growling, he finally turned when the muffled voices following the noise got angrier.
You really didn’t want to do this right now. Not here. Not with all the uncertainties surrounding you.
Taking a slow breath in, you let it out. The sooner you changed, the sooner you could be rid of these unsettling feelings. With unsteady fingers twitching against the fabric as you took one last glance at Black’s back.
One more breath.
The sound of your rattling bones was louder without the security of the coat. Placing it on the chair, you did your best to quickly dress.
The feeling of fabric against your bones was surprisingly comforting as you pulled it over your head. True to Axe’s size, the shirt almost went to your knees. It was so large the fabric pooled on your much smaller frame and reminded you of the nightgowns you used to wear back at the manor.
If only it wasn’t so short.
Though your more private areas were covered, it was not good for a lady to show so much… leg. You tugged at the hem, the sleeves threatening to engulf your hands.
“I’m dressed, my lord.”
A calculated breath was your only answer before his eyelights found you, fuzzy with a slight warble. You had to second guess if you had seen them correctly, for the next moment they were back to their bright and sharp orbs. Getting closer, they traveled over you as he hummed, the heel of his boots clicking as he circled. If you had hair, it would have stood on end at the subtle brush of his hand against your back.
“AS I EXPECTED.”
You startled, yelping when he came around to lightly grip your hips. Instinctively, your hands came to your chest from the forwardness, sockets wide. He paid no mind, eyelights intent on the bunched fabric. He only let go to pull a satin rope from his pocket.
You squeaked again when he reached around you to wrap it around your waist.
“MUCH BETTER. HOWEVER," His gloved hands touched your elbows, slowly moving up your arms to grasp your hands for inspection. “YOUR MAGIC. IT IS MUCH TOO THIN…” He turned them over. “Hmmmmm. Knowing Him…”
Your chest clenched. He was close enough you could feel his ambient heat and wisps of breath.
Before Black could say or do anything else, his door nearly burst off its hinges, a very aggravated Axe forcing it open. Black pulled you into him with a snarl, eyelights vanishing with the click of his teeth. Stuck in a headlock was a disgruntled Rus, resigned to the hold around his neck.
You didn’t know if you could physically handle any more stress.
“BY THE ANGEL, YOU WILL REPLACE THAT LOCK IF YOU HAVE BROKEN IT!”
Axe’s voice was low, grin tight as he took in the scene. “Don’t appreciate the closed door, Black. Hell ya think yer doin’ in here?”
Black placed you behind him, grumbling a growl. “AS I STATED EARLIER, I HAVE GIVEN HER SOMETHING TO ADEQUATELY COVER HERSELF UNTIL WE CAN PROCURE SOMETHING MORE FITTING.”
Axe narrowed his sockets at Black’s squared shoulders. For a split second, you could see the red orb of his eyelight flick over the man in front of you before it focused on you.
“Sure that's all ya were doin’?”
The fabric of Black’s gloves creaked. “IF YOU MUST KNOW, I WAS INSPECTING HER MAGIC FLOW. I’M NO EXPERT, BUT EVEN I CAN TELL IT’S RUNNING LOW. A MORE IMPORTANT QUESTION WOULD BE, WHY HAVEN’T YOU—”
“I’ve been doin’ exactly what I need ta be. Don’t need ta explain myself either.” Rus stumbled into the room when Axe unceremoniously released him to motion to you. “Now, if yer done?”
With a snarl, Black pointed a finger. “NOW SEE HERE YOU–”
Instinctually, you reached out, stopping just before Black’s arm. “My lord, I!” You faltered at his abrupt attention, pulling back to dip your head in respect. “I thank you for your kindness, but I should return to my lord husband before any more misunderstandings occur.”
His eyelights stuttered. “I, I BEG YOUR PARDON?”
There was a beat of awkward silence before Axe broke into heavy laughter, the loudest and deepest you’ve heard from him. It was enough to warm your cheeks as he beckoned you out and away from the room. Black gaped, slack-jawed and sputtering as you passed. You were already being guided onto the deck by the time he was able to call out one last time from his doorway.
“AXE! YOU WILL… THAT… YOU WILL EXPLAIN YOURSELF!”
Axe only laughed harder, closing the doors behind you.
The sun had mostly set by the time you stepped out into the humid sea air. You would have done anything in the past to be able to look up, out, and around but Axe was swift in guiding you down the main hatch. You didn’t want to linger longer than necessary anyway.
You didn’t have Rus’s coat to hide under.
You were grateful for the darkness once you were under. The lanterns were farther spread, some empty of light altogether. It helped ease your mind against the wandering eyes. Most gathered under the brightest lamps, playing cards at makeshift tables, drinking, and socializing while others lounged in hammocks hanging interspersed between the canons. While some watched you pass, Axe was surprisingly good at slipping through the darkest areas to avoid the unwanted attention.
The closer you got to the front of the ship, the fewer people there were until you came upon barrels and crates stacked near and around an area quartered off by familiar heavy sheets. You could even recognize the stack you and Blue had hidden next to, the sheet on that side still halfway pulled down. Axe was kind enough to hold the flap for you to enter.
Finally, you were able to relax the tension out of your shoulders and pained joints. You wanted to climb back into the hammock and rest your aching pelvis, maybe snuggle against Axe and his warmth. The way he moved about though had you gingerly sitting on his stool, setting it upright from where it had been knocked over.
You wondered when that had occurred. What happened after you had been taken?
...
A quiet curse had you looking back at Axe as he re-fastened the makeshift wall. There were a few more rips in it than you remembered. If he had any sewing supplies, you would have to mend them. It was the least you could do as thanks.
You let out a slow breath, peering down at your clenched fists. They were cold and stiff on your lap. Black had been interested in them. The lot of them had been interested in general, but he had seemed so focused.
Your voice was soft, hesitant as you summoned the courage to speak. “Axe? I have so many questions, but I’m afraid… I don’t know if I’m allowed to ask.”
Axe chuckled. “Don’t gotta be afraid with me, Dove. It’s good ta ask questions around here. The more ya know the better, good or bad. Don’t let anyone tell ya otherwise.”
You picked at the hem of the shirt, smoothing it down as much as you could. “Is that true?" Axe simply grunted. Collecting yourself, you forced yourself to ask the questions burning your mind. "What is a Banthos? What does it mean to be one? And what did Black mean when he said my magic was too thin? I don’t have magic. I’m not… I’m not even a monster.”
It was hard not to flinch when, from your peripherals, you saw him stop. His voice had become more serious but thankfully still soft.
“The hell yer not. Listen, I don’t know what you’ve been told, where ya come from, or what ya been through. But you’re as much of a monster as the rest of us. You’re made of magic and hope just like me.” He came over to place your hand in his scarred one, taking a knee to look directly into your sockets. “We’re the same. Dust and all. It don’t matter about anything else. As fer your magic,” he rubbed his face with a frustrated sigh, “let me worry about that. Just know ya got it and I’m gonna make damn sure ta get it where it needs ta be.”
You didn’t know what to say to that, but it sent a comforting feeling to your chest. He was always so warm. It reminded you of your mother.
Nodding, you were about to ask about your first question when footsteps interrupted you. Axe stood, moving between you and the flap.
“AXE, IT IS GETTING LATE. I HAVE TAKEN THE LIBERTY OF PREPARING SANS’ ROOM FOR THE LITTLE MISS. I HOPE YOU HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN.”
Axe only slightly relaxed at the sound of Papyrus’ voice, not moving but calling out to the other skeleton. “I can take her when we’re ready. Just got a few–” he bristled when Papyrus entered and smiled down at you, hand twitching at his side –“more things ta take care of.”
“AND WHAT MIGHT THAT BE SO I MAY HELP?” When Axe only grumbled, Papyrus took it upon himself to continue. “WELL, WHILE YOU FIGURE THINGS OUT, I SHALL MAKE SURE TO GET HER SAFELY TO HER NEW LODGINGS.”
You both tensed. “Papyrus. Paps. At least let things settle before ya drag er away. You saw Sans. I don’t trust him.”
Papyrus looked a little sheepish at the accusation. “I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN, BUT I HAVE FAITH THAT THIS WILL WORK. I MYSELF WILL KEEP AN EYE ON THINGS IF I MUST. He Means Well. NOT THAT, THAT IS AN EXCUSE FOR HIS TERRIBLE BEHAVIOR.” He came forward to place a hand on Axe’s shoulder, humble and pleading. “WON’T YOU AT LEAST TRUST ME?”
You couldn’t place the look that crossed Axe’s face from the question, the red orb of his eyelight quaking until his free hand brushed the edges of his empty socket. “That’s cheat’n…” There was a heaviness to the silence.
When Axe’s shoulders sagged, Papyrus gave him back his space. “All WILL BE WELL. I’M SURE OF IT.”
You were uncertain as to what you needed to do, but before you could stand, Axe nudged you back down. With the reluctance of a stubborn cat, he then went about gathering items he had deemed yours, going so far as draping his favored blanket over your shoulders. When all was said and done, you were left with a surprisingly intricate box full of puzzles, Axe’s blanket, and an affectionate nuzzle to your neck.
It was with a heavy heart and a glowing face that you eventually followed Papyrus back out into the darkness.
You did your best to keep up with his long strides, missing Axe’s purposely slowed gait. You could feel the grinding strain on your pelvis and lower joints with each step. You focused on the clack of your feet to keep your mind off the aching. Papyrus was already several steps ahead of you when he got to the steps.
Blessedly, he turned to wait for you.
It was embarrassing how out of breath you had become from such a short distance, especially when you knew you didn’t technically need to breathe. You were even more so when Papyrus cocked his head to look you over with a contemplative hum.
His smile was kind. “MY APOLOGIES MISS. I KNEW YOU WERE IN ROUGH SHAPE, BUT I HADN’T REALIZED…” He glanced up the steps. “PERHAPS IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR ME TO HELP.”
Without so much as a warning, he picked you up and draped you across both of his arms. You almost dropped your box, squeaking in surprise as he ascended to the deck. Your mind and tongue had stopped working from the suddenness. Though Axe had carried you once before and had moved you a few times, you didn’t quite know what to think of this stranger picking you up so nonchalantly. It was as if it was the most normal thing in the world for him, smile just as polite and kind as before.
With him carrying you, it took little time to cross the rest of the way back through the double doors and down to the end of the hall. Standing in front of the windowed doors, you were only jostled a little when he turned the knob. He used his boot to kick it open the rest of the way with a bang, making you flinch when the glass shook precariously.
You thought you saw a flash of blue, but when you looked, there was nothing there but a railed raised platform with an extravagant-looking bed, windows lining the entirety of the back wall.
You shuddered. It smelled overwhelmingly of snow and cold rain.
Scrunching his nasal ridge, Papyrus walked around a heavy round table with a scattering of papers and a lantern. Stepping onto the platform, he carefully set you down, turning to furiously rip the blankets off the bed to ball and fling them across the room with a fwump.
“FORGIVE MY IDIOT OF A BROTHER. I WILL BE HAVING A TALK WITH HIM ABOUT APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR LATER. FOR NOW, I’M AFRAID THIS WILL HAVE TO DO. AT LEAST THE BED IS EXCEPTIONALLY COMFORTABLE.” He put his hand down to pat the mattress. “IT IS A GIMBAL BED, MADE WITH LARGER MONSTERS IN MIND SO YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE AND WON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE TIPPING OF THE SHIP.”
When you didn’t move, he gently ushered you to sit before making his way to the windows. It was so dark now that the light from the lamp effectively turned them into mirrors. You were grateful, too afraid to look through them. To your relief, Papyrus closed the many curtains for each once. Once done, he gently took your box and stood at the end of the bed, bowing slightly from the waist.
“I WOULD STAY TO HELP YOU SETTLE, BUT I UNFORTUNATELY HAVE OTHER DUTIES I NEED TO TAKE CARE OF AT THIS TIME. BUT DO NOT FEAR, I WILL MAKE SURE SOMEONE WILL BE BY IN THE MORNING TO BRING YOU SOME TEA AND BREAKFAST AND TO WELCOME YOU.” Walking away, he stopped to place your box on the table and extinguish the lantern. “SLEEP WELL MISS.”
With a wave, he picked up the bundle of discarded blankets and walked out the door, closing it behind him.
…
It was frightening, alone in the dark.
Someone.making S/O cry UT,UF,US,HT
Hi! This one was fun to write. I think my favorites were the HorrorTale brothers they have fun personalities.Requests are open! As always I hope you guys enjoy!
Undertale: Sans: He's not happy to say the least. He stands by you and frowns at the dude his usual smile no where on his face as he sizes the guy up. Trys to diffuse the situation and tells the dude to basically fuck off but he's ready for a fight if it comes to that. He'll have a comforting hand on your back rubbing small circles and shapes into it. He trys to distract you with his puns and jokes and takes you somewhere comfort to chill for a bit.
Papyrus: Oh boy. Papyrus is immediately lecturing the dude about how that isn't nice and you shouldn't make people cry. You will be getting an apology he won't be satisfied until you do. After an apology is delivered Papyrus himself apologizes to you for the situation and whisks you away with the goal of cheering you up. He takes you somewhere he knows you like and hopes to create a good memory to replace to old one.
Underfell: Red: First reaction is anger he's ready to go if someone made you cry. He goes in yelling getting in the person's face, he doesn't get physical right away more standing in front of you and the person protectively to create distance. You might have to reel him in because he won't back down he will die fighting for your honour. He's in a grumpy mood the rest of the day but he's still pretty sweet to you just bitey towards other people.
Edge: Death glare shuts the person up real quick and has them going pale in fear. He separates the two of you roasting the person while he does and simply leads you away reassuring you that that trash has no idea what garbage he was spewing.He gets you a little treat and treats you extra sweet the rest of the day careful of your feelings. He's a bit more protective of you and glares at anyone who interacts with the two of you the rest of the day, which he normally does cause he has a resting bitch face but this time it's on purpose.
Underswap:
Stretch: Hates confrontation but he won't stand for this. He comforts you wrapping an arm around your shoulder while making a snide remark about the person more complaining to you loud enough for them to hear. He then leads you away needing to remove himself from the situation as well as you before his emotions get the better of him. Takes you home and trys to take your mind off of everything by goofing around and doing stupid things like shoving whipped cream in his nose and having it come out his eyesockets. It's uncomfortable but if it makes you laugh it's worth it.
Blue: He steps in and separates the two of you quick. Stands in front of you and very politely tells the person off and to mind their own business before doing damage control and getting you out of there. He talks to you gently and reassures you while trying to take your mind off the situation with some spontaneous activities. He's determined to turn the day into a positive one in the end.
HorrorTale:
Axe: He doesn't really remember what was happening before this but all he knows now is his mate is crying and he's absolutely glowering at the person who did it while standing behind you. He sets a hand on your shoulder gently to comfort you while scaring the ever living shit out of the poor sap who made you cry. For the rest of the day Axe brings you little items like rocks or pretty leaves and items that bring him comfort hoping they'll help you feel better.
Willow: He is immediately at your side with comforting and reassuring words. He picks you up and removes you from the situation, his biggest concern is pacifying you at the moment. He says the other person needs to be taught manners and if he wasn't so concerned with you they would have a very lengthy lecture to listen to right now. They would too, he's just an older version of Papyrus with way more anxiety he would have bitten into them with a nice lengthy lecture and then proceed to think about it for the next few months at 3 am when he can't sleep.
Sansnautica AU - Learning To Trust, With Love
Bad Sans Poly ! ( mtt x Nightmare, Cross isn't there yet )
The Sansnautica AU belongs to @ancha-aus ! :D consider this an early Christmas gift friend •w•
This is my little interpretation of how the gang met Nightmare and started the first part of the poly, which is obviously inspired by our rambling in the notes ( btw the boys' designs are linked in her master post so go check them out because I don't know how to describe them )
Also I still know NOTHING about subnautica except for the fact that it's underwater so please ignore the inaccuracies, even tho I tried to keep it quite vague as to avoid them lol
I started proofreading this at like 1:30am and finished at like nearly 2am so there might be mistakes left lol
How did all of this happen ? How did Nightmare allow this ? He never allowed it before. He liked being alone. At least he thought he did, but then they showed up, and he let them stay.
Well, they didn't "show up", he did remember saving one: Killer.
He was out hunting, roaming on his territory, when he heard noise. If at first he wouldn't have paid attention to it, it quickly became apparent that the noise was coming from his side of the frontier, which meant, whatever was making such noise, was trespassing, and he wouldn't tolerate that.
So Nightmare got closer, ready to chase off any intruder, until he saw what it was: the aliens that were invading the ocean, hunting a boneshark mer who obviously looked quite tired already. They were hunting. These aliens were hunting on his territory, they were hunting a mer. Mers belonged to him, he was their God. That wouldn't do.
He launched upward to where the noise was coming from, appearing in all his height in front of the boneshark and the aliens, putting a stop in their course as the mer crashed into the reef, having tried to avoid hitting the leviathan.
Nightmare watched as the aliens gestured to each other, swimming backward to try and flee, but the God was faster as his hand moved forward, picking them as if they were seaweeds. He bared his fangs, feeling terror emanating from the aliens as he brought them closer to his opened mouth. The terror didn't last long, it faded rapidly after the first bite. There was nothing left when he swallowed them.
He turned to the shark against the reef, seeing as he was still shaking with a fish tightly pressed against his chest, seemed like he too was out hunting. The two stared at each other for a while, before Nightmare turned his back to leave without a word. He had eaten, he could go back to his hideout. He hated being outside for too long, not that he was scared of anything, he just preferred the intimacy of his nest.
He wouldn't have thought the boneshark would follow him, and even worse, refuse to leave when Nightmare stopped to tell him to go back to where he came from. No, instead he followed him to his cave and laid on a flat stone to munch on his fish. Nightmare could have chased him, but he was feeling the fright residues coming from the mer, and decided to be merciful and let him rest for a while.
The next morning the mer was gone, Nightmare thought he went back to his own nest, but instead he came back two days later with two new sharks: a sand shark and a stalker, both mers, both as tired looking as the first one. The sand shark was the first to approach him, a large prey in his hands, that he put down in front of him before backing off. An offering it seemed, a silent demand to be allowed to stay in exchange for some of their catch. Nightmare looked at them silently for a while, he didn't want to have anyone in his nest, he didn't want his tranquility to be disturbed, but the aliens were still out and they were chasing mers specifically... he inspected the offering, it seemed to be a rabbit ray, a fresh catch. He grabbed it between two fingers to take a closer look, sensing the anxiety of the three mers rising, and finally swallowed it whole, accepting the offering and, by extension, allowing them to stay.
They had introduced themselves, the boneshark that Nightmare saved was named Killer, the sand shark that had offered him the ray was Horror, and the stalker was Dust. They seemed to be bounded, as these species didn't usually mix and travel together. Nightmare learned soon after that they were in fact mates.
Their presence wasn't insufferable, Nightmare wouldn't say he enjoyed having them around, but he had to recognize that having a little bit of life in his nest wasn't the worst. Having noise, someone talking to him even if just to tell him about the hunt of the day, was something he didn't think he had missed so much. He wouldn't say he liked them, but he would be a little pained if they left. He did find it amusing, however, that after a few days these three started to try courting him. They weren't the first to try, and he had always found comical that such small creatures thought they had a chance with him, so he let them do so, wanting to see for how long they would try before giving up like all their predecessors.
All was well, truly, fish was abundant in his territory and the small shiver usually wasn't out for too long with the aliens roaming around. But still Nightmare had to leave the nest to make sure no one tried to mess with his borders.
He should have been more careful. He was watching, looking out for any alien, so focused on their potential presence that he didn't hear the screeching noise in time and was hit on his side by a ghost leviathan as big as him. He could fight back, of course, he was strong enough to make this leviathan get out of his territory, but the surprise combined with the sudden sharp pain slowed him in his reflexes and he was hit a second time before he managed to attack and push the ghost leviathan away with more struggle than he would have liked it. Luckily for him, it wasn't another mer.
The wounds were bad. Very bad. He couldn't stay outside like that and most importantly: he couldn't stay this size or he would never heal. Well, he would, but incredibly slowly, and he couldn't afford that. He had to switch back to his smaller form, the healing would be long too, but much less long than in his current big form, as his body wouldn't need as much energy. But he had a problem: he wasn't alone anymore in his cave, there were three sharks that Nightmare knew would be bigger than him once he would turn small. He would be a prey to them. They were courting, yes, but they were courting because he was a massive leviathan capable of protecting them, but once they would see him small and hurt, unable to fight them three at the same time ? They would have the perfect opportunity to kill him and claim his territory with all the resources it contained. They wouldn't think about courting him anymore, that Nightmare was sure. But still he had to go back, he couldn't stay in the open.
He switched back to his small form as to lose less blood as he swam close to the ground, one arm around his wounded waist and the other using the branches and rocks on the ground as holds to give him the impulsion to move faster, trying to stay focused on the noise around him, praying he wouldn't attract any predator with the smell of blood.
When he arrived at the entrance of his nest he was panting, his vision blurry and whole body aching. He slowly looked inside but didn't spot anyone. They must have been out hunting. Good. He didn't want them to see him. He quickly, or as quickly as he could, dived into the deeper part of the cave, looking for a dent in the wall in which he could hide. He found one hidden behind seaweeds and moved them slightly to the side to sneak inside the dent. He laid on the moss on the floor, exhausted and shaking, his whole body in pain. He needed to gather food and materials to heal the wounds, but his body was refusing to move and his vision was becoming darker... he needed to stay awake, he had to, he couldn't sleep now, but he felt so, so drained...
He opened his eye when he heard his name being called. Was the shiver back from their hunt ? Nightmare curled up a little more on himself, not answering. He heard them swim around for a few seconds, and the weeds masking the entrance of his dent were moved aside as Horror appeared in front of him. Nightmare tensed, baring his fangs and curling two tentacles around himself to hide the wound as the others were ready to strike. Horror looked at him for a while without talking, but clearly analyzing him as he frowned, turning back to call the other two. Nightmare tried to get up, not wanting to seem weak in front of them. "Don't move" Horror told him with the same firm but gentle tone he used when Dust or Killer hurt themselves on hunting sessions and wouldn't stay still as he healed them. The two arrived rapidly, Killer's arms still full of fish, and both stopped to stare at the small leviathan. They had smelled blood when entering the cave, and they apparently weren't wrong.
Killer got closer, Nightmare growled, and he stopped, slowly taking a fish to hand it to him, but Nightmare didn't move, his gaze planted in the boneshark's. Killer put the fish down at the entrance of the nest and pushed it towards him, repeating the maneuver with three more fish before finally backing off. Dust wasn't here anymore, Nightmare hadn't seen him leave, focused on Killer. "You should eat", he said, "Dust went to fetch some large weeds to make bandages" he added when seeing his, almost frightened, gaze going from Killer and Horror to the spot Dust was previously in. They were truly stupid if they thought this "pretending to care" would make him lower his guard.
Dust came back with the weeds, but didn't dare approach when Nightmare growled at him. He put it near the entrance, and joined the other two a little farther. They had established a new small nest closer to the dent but still far enough to leave him some intimacy. He hadn't touched the fish yet, not feeling like eating. Why didn't they attack yet ? He couldn't move much, his body stiff from the pain, and couldn't turn back to his more massive form as he was in a way too small dent to do so. He was at their mercy, truly, and yet they were chatting a few meters away like nothing happened. Maybe they were waiting for him to fall asleep to kill him without risking getting bitten ? But how would he manage to stay awake for so long ? He was still so tired... he would wait for them to fall asleep first, and then he would take small naps after small naps, see if it helped...
It didn't help. He felt so tired still. Horror was in front of him, outside the dent, but still looking at him, the other two were outside. "Eat" he ordered him, and Nightmare barely had enough energy to growl back, not liking his tone of voice, but he knew he had to eat or else he wouldn't heal. He slowly reached out to grab one of the fish, munching on it without much conviction despite the hunger. He almost fell asleep with the half-eaten fish in his mouth. Horror didn't move from his spot, only turning his back when he had finished the fish, seeming satisfied. No one attacked him this day either.
He kept taking small naps, but each time he looked they hadn't move from their sleeping pile. Still, Nightmare was cautious. No one attacked him the next day, Dust tried to approach him again but backed off when seeing his gaze. Horror and Killer both frowned at that, but Nightmare didn't care. He didn't want them near him.
The few days that followed were roughly the same: Killer went out, Nightmare didn't know if it was for hunting or something else as he often came back without any catch, Horror made sure he ate at least one fish by staring at him until he gave in, and Dust tried to approach him only to fail and back off. Neither of them tried attacking him and Nightmare started to doubt they would do it one day. Why wait after all ? Why make sure he ate and try to bandage his wounds if they wanted to kill him ? It wasn't logical. None of this was logical, from Dust and Kiler spending so much time outside only to come back without fish to Horror never leaving the front of the dent like a guard. Nightmare didn't understand. He didn't understand what they were trying to do. "Dust and Killer patrol on your territory, since you're not in the right condition to do it yourself", Horror had answered when Nightmare asked him where they were going everyday. They were patrolling ? Protecting his territory ? He didn't need someone to protect his territory. At least not before. Now... he appreciated the help. He didn't need another leviathan claiming his lands while he was away. "And you ?" Nightmare had asked, "I stand guard here, make sure no one tries anything", he had answered, but Nightmare wasn't satisfied, "why not stand guard outside ?" He had asked again, "you're not outside" Horror had said. Nightmare didn't answer.
Dust tried to approach him again this day. Nightmare didn't growl, he looked at him for a while before resting his head on the moss and letting the stalker come closer. The three sharks exchanged a surprised look, and Dust grabbed the weeds and entered the dent, slowly getting closer to the injured leviathan. He looked at him again, to make sure it was okay, and grabbed some moss to clean around the wounds. Nightmare tensed, and Dust stopped. They stared at each other for a while, but as Nightmare didn't move, Dust went back to cleaning, carefully, slowly, he then wrapped the seaweeds around the wounds. Nightmare looked at him work, seeing how delicate he was, how patiently he had been waiting for the authorization when he could have given up right from the start, or simply not try at all. And yet here he was, after maybe a week or more, Nightmare had lost count, cleaning his almost infected wounds and wrapping them in weeds, before leaving again once the job was done, not wanting to invade his personal space for too long. Nightmare kept watching the bandages for a while before grabbing one of the fresh fish Killer had brought him after their hunt. He didn't understand them.
Dust kept coming back every day to check on the wounds, always waiting for Nightmare to authorize him to approach before moving.
And so Nightmare was here, in his dent, thinking about everything that had happened in these past weeks, in these past days, how he let them near him and how they never once tried to take advantage of his situation, instead guarding his territory and bringing him food, keeping his wounds clean as to heal better. He looked at Horror, he was laying down a few meters away, his eyes were closed but Nightmare knew he wasn't sleeping, he was always listening for any suspicious sound, making sure no one, except for his two mates, entered the nest.
Nightmare felt a warmth spead in his ribcage when looking at the sand shark. The other two were outside, he was alone with him, and didn't feel in danger. He felt... safe. He couldn't explain it, but he felt safe despite his condition.
Horror stood up and turned to look at him, having heard a low noise. Nightmare heard it too, but he didn't understand why Horror turned to him. He wanted to ask him, but the noise became louder when he opened his mouth. He had felt his throat vibrate. Was it coming from him ? Was he making this sound ? It was an unusual sound for him, but he had heard the others make it too... he was purring... he hadn't purred in years...
Horror smiled fondly, swimming up to him and stopping before entering the dent. Nightmare didn't stop purring.
- Can I come in ?
Horror asked in a soft tone. Nightmare hesitated for a second, before slowly nodding, watching as the shark swam into the dent and around him to lay down, facing the entrance still, but this time surrounding Nightmare with his tail like a barrier.
Nightmare looked up at him, refraining a yawn.
- You can sleep, I'm not moving.
Horror reassured. He wouldn't move, both from here or to try anything, he would stay still and stand guard just as he was doing everyday in front of the dent, only this time he would be inside.
Nightmare kept staring for a moment, before slowly drifting into sleep, only moving slightly to press his back against Horror's side, feeling his warmth as a reminder he wasn't alone.
He wasn't alone anymore, and he wouldn't be alone ever again.
Once healed he would swear loyalty to them and to protect them from any threat, to offer them a safe place and to never doubt them ever again. They deserved it. They deserved his trust.
They deserved his love.
Tryin to find a specific undertale fic-
SO!!!
From what I remember- it was a oneshot self-insert where Sans became… aware? I can’t remember if the “insert” made him aware or if he had already had a bit of an… idea?
But basically Sans realizes that when saying “y/n” he… doesn’t actually know what he’s saying. It’s YOUR NAME, but… when written he just keeps writing “y/n” or sum.
Basically I think he has like a whole breakdown? Realizing he doesn’t ACTUALLY know “y/n” “e/c” “f/c” or whatever other abbreviations there are. He knows that whatever he’s saying IS your name/eyecolor/hair color/etc… but that… he can’t write them down. He doesn’t actually know. You… don’t actually exist??
I really wanna find it again, or any fics that covered that if there were multiple, but I fr cannot find any.
Ain’t no damn way I’m the only one who read that, and I sure af could not have possibly dreamed it in such detail as I recall.
Monsters have been out in the open world for 2 years. You've just graduated from Medical school and finding a job is harder then it seems. After being hired scarily fast at a clinic near your neighborhood, you seem skeptical until you meet everyone. They seem... nice enough? What has you most interested is the skeleton brothers, family friends of the owner. More specifically, the older yet shorter brother of the two. The entire monster race is an interesting phenomenon. Held together, kept alive by the strings of magic? Seems odd enough that gives you the need to investigate, after all, you're more logical then believing in "magic" straight away. But the history behind them is anything but pretty. Can the monsters prove their humanity? Can you stay on their - his good side?
Heeyyyy can I request how would skeletons would react if the reader walked up to them and said “oh i can take you” and they would say “in a fight right ?” And the reader is just smiling silently how would they would react?
Hii I know you as the resident papyrus lover lol. Thanks for requesting sorry it took so long to get to it! This one was fun and Blues kinda got away from me lol. My cat would NOT stop bothering me for pets while writing this,
Undertale:
Sans:Laughs it off. He gets what you mean and he thinks it's pretty funny. "heh that's funny kid" Might blush lightly as he imagines it for a second and it's kind of out of nowhere depends how much you caught him off guard with it.
Papyrus: Has absolutely no clue what you mean. "TAKE ME WHERE HUMAN?" Just stands there confused as you smirk at him. You gotta be a bit more vulgar to get this one flustered he's a little oblivious y'all.
Underswap: Blue: Absolutely understands what you mean but pretends not to because he thinks it's funnier. "I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TRAIN WITH YOU!" He's got a innocent look on his face but he'll definitely remember how sure you sounded about how you could take him when he has you pinned underneath him begging.
Stretch: It takes him a second but he chuckles and gives you his best flirty look as he blushes carrot orange. "im sure you could honey" he's a bit flustered as he wasn't expecting it and thinks about the scenario the rest of the day.
Underfell:
Red: Also takes him a second but he smirks big when he gets it and gives you a hungry look "ya wanna find out if ya can doll?" He's 100% taking that as an invitation the horndog he is and will be more than happy to see if you really can take him.
Edge: He rolls his eyelights but smirks and pulls you closer. "Are You Sure About That Pet?" he whispers right in your ear causing you to shudder. He gently nips your earlobe before he takes a step back and simply walks away leaving you in shock.
Horrortale:
Axe: Has to think about it for a solid minute before he's chuckling. More than willing to take you in a fight or bed. "heh I dunno bout that… lamb" he thinks you're cute approaching him and saying that outright. Definetly writes this interaction down in one of his journals and chuckles over it when he reads them over.
Willow: A bit more aware than Papyrus so he gets what you mean and his entire skull flushes pale range. "Oh…" A little surprised you'd want him in general he's flustered, shocked, honoured, and a little bit horrified all wrapped in one. Quickly absconds but is lost in thought thinking about the interaction the rest of the day.
First Impressions
i got bored at work so i decided to write out some stuff about my OC Ash, specifically his first impressions on (my versions anyways) the MTT and Cross, plus his dads general thoughts of him, since it might be unclear? i like writing but i've got very little experience so. It's not much. Hiding it all under the cut because I'm shy
Nightmare introduces his young son to the MTT for the first time, and proceeds to leave him in their care for 'The Foreseeable future'.
Skull/Horror Sans' and Ash's relationship is very close.
Skull adores Ash. When he first returned home to base (crappy apartment he shares with Killer and Dust) to find a scrawny little baby-bones sitting on the couch, he was understandably in shock. With only a small wave of acknowledgement, he tracked down his already bickering co-workers to get the story. Knowing Nightmare would rather leave Ash with a group of complete strangers, instead of being a better father, pisses Skull off to no end. On the other hand, he doesn't mind having a kid to take care of again.
Dust and Ash's relationship is neither close nor distant. Dust doesn't care for children. They're creepy, and clingy, and needy, and- When Nightmare showed up with the little brat, and announced- not asked, no, ANNOUNCED- that he'd be bunking with the three of them from now on, well, unhappy is an understatement. Dust was livid. When Nightmare was gone, Ash was left on the couch while the other two went to deliberate. They weren't getting anywhere, and it grew into an unhelpful back and forth (with Killer questioning how to raise a child, and Dust suggesting they just put him outside in a dog house.) Luckily Skull seemed more than happy to step in. So...problem solved. Dust hasn't tried to make an effort, or grow a relationship with Ash. But he's decided that he's not as bad as most kids are. They bond over sitting in silence on the couch and watching whatever show happens to be on TV. Neither really has a preference. Killer and Ash's relationship is very close. Killer wasn't sure what to think when Boss showed up with a kid in tow. His mind went into overdrive the moment "He'll be staying with you." left Nightmares mouth. Kid couldn't be older than seven (which was confirmed later by Nightmare, who had raised him alone for six years. But now he 'needed help.') Where? Where did he hide a kid that long? When did he find it? Why choose now to tell them, and why- Whatever. The door closed after Nightmare said his goodbyes (for now) and Killer was snapped out of his thoughts. Killer and Dust left Ash on the couch and went out of earshot to discuss. It didn't help. Killer ignored all of Dusts frustrating suggestions. They were just down the hall, he stared at the back of the kids head. That's when he decided. None of them could really love him. Not in his mind. So he was going to make sure he felt as closed to loved and cared for as he could get. He was just a kid after all. He needed them.
The following is Cross's First impressions of Ash, and a brief summary of their relationship during Cross's stay. Ash is at most 9 years old when they meet.
Cross arrived a bit late to the party. He'd thought that getting to the MTT's base would be the end of the confusion, until they dropped the bomb. It felt like that to him at least, despite how casually Killer brought it up. "Don't mind Ash, he won't bother you much." Cross wasn't aware they were talking about a nine year old boy. Nightmares son you say? He's feeling faint. Who would want to make a baby with that guy? Cross kept to himself, he had a room just off the garage, instead of upstairs like the other four, but Ash found him, and did indeed bother him. He was a talker when he opened up, even if Cross didn't say anything- he didn't have to, kid talked enough for the both of them. It was inevitable that they'd end up being close friends. Did everything together, night and day, Cross enjoyed the distraction from the actual living hell he'd found himself in. He loved that kid. And then he left. And it hurt. But it hurt more to stay.
"You're coming back aren't you?"
How was he supposed to answer that? Cross and Ash's relationship is very close. Formerly close.
Nightmare's thoughts.
Nightmare has difficulty identifying his emotions at times. What he knows, is a lingering, subtle burning sensation is probably normal. He feels like he's drowning. Suffocating. That's a good thing, believe it or not. He's not sure what it is about Ash that makes him feel like he's lighter than air, like he can breathe for the first time in years. It's almost too much for him to handle. It makes him sick, reminds him of someone he'd rather forget. Someone he thinks he might have loved. Is that love? Who knows. But if it is- he'll keep the boy around. He deserves that much. For someone to protect him. Someone who won't let him down. Nightmare and Ash's relationship is extremely close. Wouldn't be wise to get between that father and son duo!
'kay that's all i got. this might be super cringe who cares i love my boys questions and comments are welcome...if you want idk
Time Travelers AU - Standing Guard
I came back from the deads for a few days, and I'm sick btw so I might return to the deads soon
Anyway (really) small chapter to get back on track (hopefully)
@ancha-aus cmhere friend
First
Prev
Next
The night was fresh, but not too cold, which was good as they were all sleeping outside. They arrived late, the sun was soon to set, they wouldn't find anyone willing to let them stay at their house at night. Cross didn't like that they had to sleep under the trees, the forest was dangerous, they were vulnerable in the dark, but the others had to rest, the jump had been tiring.
He looked at them, Horror was sitting against a tree, Dust was next to him, seeking warmth as his clothes didn't look very warm, Killer was a little apart, he had climbed up a small tree to sleep far from the ground, and finally Nightmare was near the river, against a tree as well, seeming still mad as he kept his distance. Cross was standing guard. He couldn't go to sleep, someone had to watch out, and the others were tired, plus it was his job to protect them. He yawned, feeling his own tiredness emerging a little more, and went to walk around the area, trying to stay awake. He listened carefully, stopped to look around, but didn't spot anything.
When he came back to where the group was, Horror was awake. He looked at Cross when he arrived, relieved to see he wasn't far, and got up carefully as to not wake Dust up. Cross was ready to tell him he could go back to sleep, that there wasn't any danger and he just went to check, but Horror was faster.
- Sofa at ótt.
He told him, pointing at where he was previously sitting. Cross looked up at him confused, did he want him to sit ? He couldn't sit, he had to stand guard.
- Eo ne poez.
Cross declined, but Horror shook his head, not taking his refusal for an answer.
- Hvíla. He said to Cross, then pointed at himself. Gæta.
Cross kept staring for a while, not quite understanding what Horror wanted. Was there a problem ? Did he misunderstood ? Was Horror not asking him to sleep but wanted to tell him something else ? What was he trying to say ?
- Warde. Horror finally said, pointing at himself again.
That was French. That was a word in Cross's language. One he had used a few days ago when Dust told him he did a good job and could take a break. One Horror apparently remembered. Warde: guard. Horror wanted to stand guard with him ?
- Sleep. He pointed to Cross.
That was a word in Dust's language, one Dust had used quite often to say "dormir". Horror wanted him to sleep ? He wanted to take turn in standing guard to allow Cross to rest ? The offering was quite tempting, and Cross was tired, but it was his job to protect them ! He couldn't sleep on the job ! But again, if he was tired, he couldn't protect them properly as his attention span would be longer. He would put them in danger if he couldn't react fast enough... so maybe he could sleep a little, let Horror handle it for a while and come back after a quick nap ?
He looked at the place next to Dust. It was... even more tempting, to sit next to him, let him sleep on his shoulder... no time for distractions. He looked up at Horror and handed him his sword. Horror didn't have his axe anymore, he needed a weapon, even though Cross was sure the Viking could take someone in a fight with his bare hands and win, but prevention is better than cure.
Horror looked at the sword before looking up at Cross, confused, but ended up grabbing the sword when seeing his insistant gaze. He pat him on the shoulder, and went to take his place watching over them.
Cross looked at him before turning to Dust, who was still sound asleep against the tree. He felt his cheeks getting hotter the longer he looked at him. He was going to sleep so close to him. Would it be weird ? Would Dust be disappointed to see him instead of Horror when waking up ? Should Cross sleep somewhere else ?
Dust shivered, and Cross didn't think much longer before sitting down next to Dust and putting his cape around him. His clothes were so short, they didn't even cover his arms ! Killer was dressed shortly too, but he seemed to be more resistant than Dust to the cold. He didn't want him to be sick, so he would happily share his warmth.
His magic crackled in his soul when he felt Dust shift to get closer to him and he almost damned his armor for not letting him share more warmth by embracing the small skeleton. He didn't want to make him uncomfortable by pressing the hard metal against him.
He watched him sleep, looking so peaceful, so calm and trusting, so easy to hurt, that Cross only wished to protect that look forever, to make sure that he would never feel like he was in danger, like he could never let his guard down... he wanted him to feel safe with him, to rely on him without any second thought, he wanted to be strong enough to protect him from any kind of danger, from a criminal to a dragon, he would keep Dust safe.
Dust and the others. He shook his head. He wanted to protect the others too, not only Dust, they were all important to him, they were... they were his friends ? They were friends, and Dust was his friend too so it was normal for him to want to protect him. And the others. Him and the others. He tried to focus on the group, but his mind kept coming back to the sleeping skeleton against his shoulder...
He was tired, he should sleep, and maybe the quick nap would help him sort off his thoughts about Dust... Dust and the others...
Dust shifted, opening his eyes after a yawn. He spotted Horror a little farther, and looked up to see who he was laying against. It was Cross, seemed like he took turn with Horror to stand guard. He grabbed the cape to pull it a little higher on his shoulders, and pressed himself against the knight to drift back to sleep. He was so cold, but at least the proximity helped a little with keeping some body warmth.
He missed his jacket.
