YELLOW:  what is the best motivation for you to write your muse?

This is pretty general honestly and not for any specific muse.  Outside of the source material by rewatching my character’s centric episodes?  Music.  I love making playlists for my muses and it’s definitely one of my most significant motivators.  I rarely ever write without music.

PURPLE:  is there a fandom you are in that’s unrelated to this your muses?

I think the biggest fandom outside of Yu-Gi-Oh I’m technically apart of would be Pokemon?  I’m honestly the worst at managing multiple primary blogs, so that’s why hubs appealed to me as greatly as they did?  I have a lot of muse for a lot of characters, so being able to organize and give them their own individual blogs on one account was perfect, despite the frustrations that come with a hub sometimes.  I definitely plan to open more fandom-based hubs one day, as well as a “misc” one ( just muses I don’t write enough characters from the source to give its own fandom-based hub. )  Honestly though, my Yu-Gi-Oh hub will always have top priority.

BROWN:  what is a headcanon you are particularly proud of?

Most of my headcanons are stuck in drafts or on my notes app, but I’ll try to pick characters who I haven’t really talked about.

Despite being on Michael’s blog, this analysis ( Zexal spoiler warning! ) about what young Chris went through is important to me?  I think I partially wrote it out of spite, seeing others claim the eldest Arclight doesn’t care about his younger brothers / outright abandoned them when that so obviously isn’t the case.  Doesn’t excuse what he has done, though.

RIO KAMISHIRO

I absolutely adore writing familial headcanons, so here are my two favorites of which I can’t determine which would be the one I’m most proud of?  Oops.

The first would be that her mother owned a kalimba.  It was a souvenir and gift from her soon-to-be husband at the time.  A wedding later and some years after giving birth to the twins, she taught her daughter how to play the little instrument, though it was a little difficult with the girl’s hands so small at the time.  Rio still knows how to play it, but it’s a bit sad for her to.

The second is that Rio’s mother kept various pet birds and there’s even an aviary on the property of Kamishiro estate.  It’s no surprise that Rio comes to own her own sort of small-scale flock, adopting from a rescue.  She also has an interest in falconry and eventually gets to train a gyrfalcon when she is older.  She also trains almost all if not every one of her birds to free fly.  However, it can be dangerous for smaller species who could become easy prey to larger wild birds, so it’s important for her to choose safe locations for this activity.

A continuation of this underneath the cut, but it contains major spoilers for Zexal II + Sevens headcanons also, which can also be spoiler-ish.

In her past life, Merag also had avians, many of which were the messenger birds of the holy temple she lived in ( since priestesses only live in the temples of their gods ) as well as her kingdom.  They were extremely fond of the princess and it was not an uncommon sight to see one upon her shoulders or her tending and caring for them.  They brought her a lot of happiness and they always seemed to know how to cheer her up.

ROMIN KIRISHIMA

I can’t even believe I have headcanons already, but there are two of the bunch I like a lot.

One. She covers all sorts of songs from every imaginable genre, which are among various languages.  She feels it inspires her creativity by experiencing the music itself and playing it herself ( Romin also feels it allows her to connect with the artist’s feelings and emotions of their music and discover the purpose of a song’s creation / birth. )  She honestly applies the ‘consume the media you want to get better at creating’ notion to music, only with her guitar, of course.  She can appreciate / has come to appreciate a lot of different types of music.

Covering different languages ( she may not always attempt singing, but she does like to get a translation of the lyrics ) has also secondhand resulted in her being able to have a small understanding of other tongues ( though not fluently and definitely more brokenly. )

Two.  People had actually attempted to take the card she rightfully caught, to which her idol promptly kicked any offenders out the show for doing.  I honestly wanted this to lead into Romin being actually confronted by the woman, who likely wanted to make sure the girl was alright and unhurt.  This would have been a dream come true for her.  Honestly, though, this was entirely self-indulgent, since I just wanted an interaction between Romin and her idol honestly.  Maybe with the former leaving her with some inspirational words, telling the younger what that card means to her, or something like saying she’d love to see Romin on stage one day, chasing her dream, etc?  Maybe she even sees herself in Romin, so maybe even thanked the girl for being the one who caught it ( though she never had any doubt someone worthy would have caught it, believing her card made the choice itself ) and take care of it.  I live for that kinda stuff and might write a drabble of this.

I’m also sure many have also tried to buy it off her, which she obviously rejected each and every time.

Extra.  I’m also debating on giving Romin a cat, once we figure out more about her situation / ability to take care of an animal ( if not at the moment / canon, she definitely has one when she gets older. )  If I do though, you can bet the feline decides to sleep in her guitar case while she practices or has it out, etc!

    I’m not one to make…. enemies. As I’m a very non-confrontational person. But if I had to choose, either Moddie or Mok. As they are the kind of people I would absolutely, entirely go out of my way to avoid. Also, they are the most elderly, unapologetic assholes I have. And I feel like they’d go out of their way to harass literally anyone.

The words rolled off of tongue in a sing-song manner, containing quality of a cadence that was altogether sweet as it was chastising. Prosciutto approached the younger man with a halfhearted step before grabbing his face forcefully and took a moment of silence to gaze into his eyes.

“Pesci, Pesci, Pesci, Pesci, Pesci...”

He repeated in much of the same manner, making a display out of the fact that he had been sorely disappointed with the results of today’s mission. It was something simple. A hit and run. They didn’t have to make it look like an accident. Witnesses were already paid for. The location was isolated, and there was no risk of interference from the police.

❤ Does your muse have an embarrassing favorite movie?

Cyan won’t admit she’s a sucker for Despicable Me, honestly. She’s a loner and loners don’t watch sappy movies - And yet she has a thing for the dumb humor of the minions, on top of Gru coming to love the girls he adopts, she won’t ever let another soul know about. It makes her wonder if she’ll ever find a family willing to go so far for her (and her for them) like that… Definitely a weakness she can’t let out.

Casey, on the other hand, doesn’t spend much time in front of a TV, but she absolutely loves just about any Mickey Mouse Christmas special! It’s not really an embarrassing movie, no, but its also not something she could get away with talking about without getting a laugh or three, more than likely. That means she keeps it to herself and tries to watch them when she’s alone in the winter… Though a runner up would have to be the old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer movie. She loves the feel good morals behind it, especially when she has trouble finding them in the real world.

☎ Did your muse ever leave someone a drunken voicemail? 

Cyan has, on more than a few occasions, though it’s long since tapered off. She often spends her evenings in a neighborhood bar where she’s gotten to be pretty decently known as a regular, but when she first started going, pushing the line on her limits was a regular thing… And so was drunk dialing a friend (and stranger, mis-dials tended to happen) to leave a voicemail she’ll regret every time they tease her. These days, not so much - Though guarenteed Leon’s gotten at least one!

On the other hand, Casey’s done it once, and it was to Credo, guarenteed. At least.. She thinks so-

For Cyan, that’d probably be the day she’d managed to microwave her lunch just a bit too long and it exploded - Just loud enough to freak out her neighbors and send one running over to her apartment, demanding to know what’d just happened. She wasn’t entirely sure how to explain she’d forgotten to vent the plastic on her lunch... Nor is she really sure what he planned to accomplish with a sharp stick, but y’know-

Casey’s would have to be a day from her childhood, when she caught herself daydreaming on a walk around the outside of her village just in time to trip and land in poison ivy in front of most of the village’s kids. Wasn’t so bad until the rash broke out everywhere - ‘Speckles’ is not a nickname she ever wants to hear again, especially as their future leader-!

Kikyo had grown tired of this game of cat and mouse Naraku wanted to play with her. He always threatened her, but could not do anything about it because of his feelings for her. It was that very weakness she would use in order to defeat him.

“Blame your own weakness for your defeat.”

Cold gaze never once left his as she brushed back a few strands of loose hair that threatened to block her gaze. Despite the fear most felt around him, she knew that he could do nothing to her as long as the heart of that bandit beat inside of him.

03. What current rp trend do you hate?

I can’t really think of any that I outright hate?  I think in the past I would’ve said small / no scrollbar or small + sub / sup text, but I have a touchscreen laptop so I’m all-powerful.  And regardless, I haven’t met anyone who was ever rude to me if I asked that they not use it for our threads only since I have poor vision.  I actually don’t see the former all that often to begin with.  As for scrollbars, it’s mostly because that html can be a bit fickle depending on how it’s coded, so someone’s scrollbar could be off somewhat and then it’s guessing where the thumb actually is because it’s not where it’s supposed to be.

Though technically, I’ve been out of the rpc for over a year, so I’m not really up-to-date on what trends are current.  I’m not saying I’m never irritated by something, regardless if it’s popular to do or not, but at the end of the day I just don’t care what people do on their blogs or with their blogs.  The newest things I’ve seen are dash-only blogs / info in Google Docs, interest checkers, and asks moved into posts — which are all really neat and lovely to me!

04. How do you explain rp to someone in the real world?

I call it “collaborative writing” lmao.  Not because I’m ashamed of it, but when I said I “role-play” to someone, they took it immediately as something sexual, so I just decidedly call it something else now.  When people ask for further explanation, I just say me and someone else create a story together, kinda like co-authors.  No one’s ever really asked to see my writing irl, honestly, except my brother / sister and a couple times my mom forced me to show her.

And actually, the family I interact with most knows I do it.  Usually they either don’t care enough to know more or are entirely confused by the concept, but a couple are supportive.  I once got a text from my grandma saying I should use “Inuyasha” as a name for one of my characters, saying she found it online and that it was from a “popular Japanese cartoon” or something along those lines since anime is something she also knows I also like.  Honestly that text was cute and blessed.

Though if you’re wondering, only once has someone actually knew what I was talking about in-depth, since they role-played on Tumblr too.

No, she is lying, she thought about every possibility far in advance to actually finding herself on this bench, drinking this particular milkshake so someone approaching her wasn’t something she was particularly surprised by. People often gravitate to famous personalities, even if they don’t know who they speak to.  

“Nothing much outside of Hope’s Peak and a few shops, ya know?" Rather shoddy shops at that. She knows, she checked them all. Boring, all of them.

Aerigas' gaze is heavy and annoyed, but tired. They'd heard things like this before, thought things like it, experienced it...and so on. It was old, annoying news. Like a wound that almost heals, but you tear it open again for one reason or the other. Chewing out of date jerky, they take a long few moments to reply

"Guess I'm safe then. I don't have faith in anything. Too bad, hm?"

It probably sounds like some edgy, desperate attempt at self comfort. But it's the truth, there's nothing they can think of that they put real faith in.

It's also too bad it won't kill them too. But that bastard of a Reaper never let them stay gone long.
