it’s  one   of   the  rare   moments  that   the   ghost   writes  in  his   ‘other  worldly  state’  nothing   seems   to   speak    as   deeply   as   when   thomas   did   the   writing.   tired   hands   crumple   the   document   &  he  throws   it   across  the   room .     ❝   pointless  ❞    ghostly  white  hands   pick   up  the   cigarette   near  by   &  he  inhales .    a   glance   up   tells   him   he  is  not   alone.   the  ghost   pushes   his   chair   out   &  kicks   his   feet   up  on   the  table,  cigarette   caught   between   teeth   &   tongue  .   he    grins   at    her     ❝   maybe .   but  you’re  kills   are   predictable .   ever   think   of    mixing  it  up  ?    ❞

Kai sat at the bottom of the basement’s staircase, hands clasped against each other as he trembled. Lila’s words only served to worsen the cult leader’s state of mind. Dead? That was impossible, he was here in his own damn house. Sure, his mind felt like it was in numb dissociation these past few days, but he’s experienced it before. Still, the thought burned in the back of his mind and brief flashes of memories; gone too quick to focus entirely, passed by as he tried to gain a sense of reality once again. 

“ You’re so full of shit, Lila, “ Kai grumbles to the other spirit. She’s been harassing and tormenting him for months, he holds no trust in her words. “ I can’t die before my mark is made upon the world. I am the divine ruler, the catalyst for the revolution--- of course I wouldn’t expect you to understand that. You never have. “

“Well -- Go somewhere else, then.”  Tate planted himself right there with a book stolen borrowed from James and he didn’t plan on going anywhere else; He brought his legs up just to further his point, physically show off his stubbornness to Lila. He crossed them under himself and stared down at the novel, though by the way his eyes weren’t even skimming, it was clear he wasn’t actually reading it. Just furthering the dramatics after being hinted at to leave the room. It was a big hotel, Tate didn’t see why he needed to relocate for her comfort.

“ If you keep having that attitude they won’t, “ Kai gripped Lila’s shoulder, speaking quietly as to not attract attention, but it didn’t detract from the irritation present in his tone. This was the first time the convict had stepped out of Lila’s home during the light of day. He practically felt like a vampire having to be shielded by night in order to do anything, and even then he had to watch himself. Luckily after his escape, he got a new change of wardrobe ( needless to say he appeared much more put together than he had been ) and grew longer facial hair than before. It also helped to have his natural hair color back. 

It had been a little over a full year since Kai escaped prison, he doubted anyone expected to see him roaming the streets at this point. At least, they wouldn’t be suspicious if Lila weren’t looking so goddamn tense, “ Relax, sweetheart. Let’s just enjoy the day. “
