THE PANDORA'S BOX HAS BEEN OPENED UVE BEEN WARNED
List under the cut with me tryna be as brief as I can without spoiling a lot cuz I Will Prepare These Meals Eventuall-
GhostHunters AU
In this one, Lambert is a paranormal and horror youtuber alongside a few of my follower OCs, their content revolves around exploring abandoned places in search for ghost activities
The Bishops would be evil spirits here, possessed by vengeful desires
Eventually the ghosthunters go to an abandoned mansion famous for a family murder that happened in it long ago (smtng like the Amityville tragedy), which would be the Bishops mansion
As they spend time inside the house, they discover many secret passages, underground labyrinths and tombs, until coming to the dark realization that what seemed to have been an abandoned mansion actually turned out to be a secret spot for cult meetings, and with recent activity
I wanted to do this one in the style of camera-recording kinda shit yk, like told from the POV of somebody carrying a camera with night vision because there would be chases
There would be a time where everything goes dark in the mansion and the gang becomes trapped inside the house, so they try to find a way out through the basement, which is where they discover the secret passages to the cultists' ritual place
Throughout the journey, Lambert would've become accidentally attached to Narinder's ghost after finding a belonging of his which they were possessed into bringing along with them. Narinder then becomes a "personal guide" for Lamby as they make it through the mansion; he makes sure to keep them alive while showing little to no regard for their companions, much to Lambert's disdain (obv)
In actuality, Narinder's plan is to get Lambert out of the house in order to later possess their body, as a mean to come back to life himself
Lambert is the only one able to see Narinder....except for Felix. Ive now decided he would be the "I see dead people" guy hello
Beauty & The Beast AU
Lambert was given as sacrifice to appease Narinder’s hunger in order to avoid a prophecy from coming true, but in the end they did exactly what they were supposed to (this part is not too different from the game-)
Narinder is kept in a temple-castle kind of building, surrounded by a dead river and dense forests, with some of the nature already obstructing its way into the castle so you can find trees and moss in there on someplaces. The building is HUGE and used to be where Nari and his siblings lived in together, so there are many rooms
All Bishops are instead addressed as Lords. They are also huge, at least 3 meters and up taller than normal-sized creatures and still rulers of their respective domains. After the quarrel with Narinder, they all decided to live in their own lands inside their own temples and have been ruling the world likeso ever since
Lambert is the last of their kind, they were living with Ratau and Ratoo who are farmers, until the Bishops took them away to give to Narinder
Narinder was sealed in chains, his physical body is trapped inside of a room, until he eventually managed to project his eldritch self outside of it. So who Narinder is now is nothing more than the condensation of his power and soul. The sacrifices were offered to stop him from growing stronger and eventually lock him back into his carcass.
Narinder doesn't let anyone inside the room with his body inside, and carries the key for it wrapped around his ribcage
Narinder is cursed to stay within the grounds of his temple, he cannot leave to go beyond the bridge or even outside to his own yard, or else he gets burnt
Lambert eventually falls for the beast and promises to help him escape
Band AU
In this AU, the Bishops have a band known as (The) Bishops Of The Old Faith, until Narinder's plans for the band as a whole diverts from his mates, so he quits to make his own music group called The Ones Who Wait alongside Aym and Baal
Lambert is an orphan who was raised by Ratau (and Ratoo for a while). They work at his pub, The Lonely Shack, and play music for costumers from time to time on Fridays and Wednesdays
Both Ratau and Lambert have always been big fans of the BOTOF band, until Narinder split to create TOWW, which Lamby continued to listen to because Nari was in it. Eventually, auditions for a new member were open and Lamby decided to take the chance to sign up
They fail at first for being too nervous, but luckily the same night, Narinder (whilst undercover) visits the Lonely pub and perceives Lambert's performance, now more convinced of their abilities given how more naturally they played out compared to the audition. Lambert then joins TOWW's band as a roadie, doing what has to be done until Narinder is sure that they can handle the pressure of working with him
They eventually gain more recognition from the bandmates for their talents and manages to become an official member
The drama starts when TOWW becomes more and more popular, because although Lambert joined in, they hate the spotlight whilst Narinder is ambitiously seeking fame
Also in this AU, each Bishop has their own family! Nari included :D Which I may or my not design depending on how I feel about it UHANSJDMAKD
Royal AU
Fun fact about this one: was solely based on the fact that I wanted to see Lambert in this scene from the Cinderella movie Ever After, screaming about their family and getting viciously reprehended for it (love me angst <3)
Lambert is a peasant who had their family murdered by the Bishops for presumably not paying their taxes due to poverty, so they lived on the streets for a couple of years and lived off from stealing food and counting on luck to have a roof above their head for the night
The Bishops are addressed as Kings and Queens (except for Shamura, who is a Ruler) and each reign over their respective lands with their own castles to live in, but they govern under the same rules which are discussed in a communal temple at the middle of all the lands
Narinder is an exiled king who rules the lands of Limbo, which are smtng like a forbidden place of sorts. After his sibling quarrel, Nari was cursed to stay inside his own lands, being physically unable to leave his own territory, only its visitors are able to come and go unless they are blessed by the Red Crown
In the meantime he has been trapped, Narinder trained his armies for the day they are able to go forth from their barriers. He knows that they wouldn’t last against the power of 4 Crowns, but he cannot cast his own blessing upon his soldiers for it would prevent them to leave his kingdom as well, so he must break the curse first. He has been sending out thieves and spies in order to find the incantation and steal it away for him
One day, Lambert unknowingly sneaks into Narinder's room to hide away from guards who caught them stealing. When Narinder spots them, he is rather impressed by their abilities to make it past his own guards and him, so instead of giving them away he asks his army to train them (his plan is to eventually send them out as well to retrieve the curse incantation)
Lambert then becomes a knight apprentice under Ratau's care, who's a veteran and one of the most skilled warriors of Narinder
As time goes by, Lamby grows fond of their king and - ofc- falls for him, smtng which the King learns about through mind-reading and takes advantage of in order to increase Lambert's loyalty for him
Eventually, Lambert learns that their family was not killed for not paying their taxes, but rather because they were part of a resistance group that was against the Crowns. This will futurely make things harder for them to trust Narinder since he is a crown bearer and for Narinder to manipulate them, since he woudve developed feelings until there
Post-Apocalyptic AU
THIS ONE IS STILL FRESH NEW But I believe smtng like- hm Stranger Things, Last Of Us type of shit with how the monsters would look like
Maybe an apocalypse brought by literal Hell creatures, a lab failure or perhaps an organized doom
Maybe inspired by The Walking Dead games, how in some of them there were ppl who actually acted as if they ruled over the others, so like- I think the Bishops would be smtng amongst these lines "oh u want our resources? work for us" yk
Narinder would probably be an inbetween of that, but I like to imagine him as partially infected.....which is what makes him stronger than most
Whilst Lamb is one of the few, very rare few who is immune!
I think Lambert's family tried to get help with the Bishops once, but they didn't help them out, so Lambert grew resentful of them ever since and has lived on their own for a while alongside Ratau, until they eventually meet Aym and Baal who secretly work for Narinder, by scouting around the area to bring him food (which are. corpses........yeah)
Ill give this one some thought but it exists yes UINDJKLDAS
Rebellion AU
This one is also fresh new so I havent developed much of it aside from fantasizing about specific scenes, but basically: this AU explores the "what if the sheeps were stronger"
So every sheep here is much more violent than what I personally imagine them to be in the original game, they have a known base and village which is high-mid populated and are at constant war with heretics
The Bishops are also much stronger and beastial-like, succumbing fully to the power of the Crowns in order to resist against the sheeps' rebellion; their behavior is much colder and demonic, with little to no space for human emotions
The One Who Waits would be the sheeps' deity, which they worship and work their asses off in order to free
In this AU, Lambert's family is alive! But tragically more traumatized than their original selves
Maybe for the sake of the ship, I think the Lamb could either dream about Narinder every night for being very devoted to him, so they get ""divine interventions"" hehe, OR Narinder's presence could indeed be....lingering in the real world as a ghost of sorts or brief apparition, given that now the sheeps are fighting back the Crowns' power, that means that their influence wouldve been weaker. Which therefore could make way for their power over Narinder's prison to weaken as well, meaning that he could in fact be fred by simply killing the Bishops.
In Undertale language, this is basically a horror x fell version of COTL UDNJDSKDMASD
I THINK THESE ARE ALL THE ONES I CAN Say smtng about for now I still have to think more throughly about Role Swap, Pirates, maybe a Mafia one...................... not to mention the last 2 need more work to them as well
BUT THESE ARE THE AUS I HAVE IN STOCK FOR NOW I hope yall enjoy the read tysm for asking HURGHHK!!! 😭💜

“I do have to inform you that the house has a bit of a… macabre history to it…” The realtor hesitated.
Jennie hummed, continuing to look up at the side of the house and mumbling about updates, but your attention snapped to the real estate agent. “What do you mean?”
The woman cleared her throat, “Well… A man killed his entire family here. He claimed he heard voices that told him to do it. And, the last tenants said they had some issues too. They only stayed for a very short while.”
You nodded, “What kind of issues? I mean, we were planning to renovate anyway so if there were electrical or plum–”
“Uh, no, no… More paranormal kind of issues…” The woman spoke in a hushed tone as if she were afraid someone would overhear your conversation. “The Lutz’ claimed that the house was driving George crazy so they left before even living here for a month… They left all of their stuff behind too. The original owners’ belongings also come with the house.”
“Ahh…” You hummed in understanding.
So, the place was supposedly “haunted,” and no one has wanted to buy it in decades… that was why the price was so low. It was odd that the realtor was trying to drive away a client though. Or, maybe she was one of those types to believe in the supernatural. Either way, there was no way you were passing up on a deal this good. The house was a steal in the area at just over two-hundred thousand for five bedrooms. It definitely needed remodeling, but you could tell your wife was already planning the exterior upgrades.
If you didn’t close on this, she would actually murder you.
You smiled at the agent, “That’s alright. We’re not really believers in that anyway. We’ll take it.”
🎃
The first week in the new house was hectic.
Jennie and you were constantly in and out of the place, trying to set up contracts and get portions of the house sectioned off and cleared out to begin the renovations.
Your original plan had been to use the significant amount you’d saved on buying the rundown house to hire contractors. However, as you’d both been struggling to get people in the immediate area to agree to do the work, you’d settled for hiring a more expensive contractor further out of town to help with the major projects that you couldn’t handle, and instead, Jennie and you would complete the rest.
Once that had been settled, the two of you fell back into your normal rhythm. Jennie worked on the exterior and boat house first, while you started clearing out the inside.
During the mornings you spent time apart, working on your respective projects and filled with your own quiet thoughts. It could be annoying to work in the house by yourself since the doors were old and would constantly creak open or accidentally lock when you didn’t want them to. It made moving big furniture and boxes a bit difficult alone, but you managed.
You met for a peaceful lunch on the porch, and then worked the warm afternoons on updating the electrical systems in the basement closet. It was a bitch to figure out, but you still got it done. Even if it drove you both a little crazy to be in the dark, tight space, arguing while trying not to unintentionally electrocute yourselves.
The evenings were spent laughing together over dinner, watching a movie on your laptop, and falling asleep exhausted. Jennie always seemed to wake up at some point in the night though, complaining about loud bangs coming from the attic or one of the other bedrooms, and subsequently shook you awake too. You took turns making sure wild animals hadn’t gotten into the house. There never was anything and, by the end of the week, you’d both surmised that the piping was much worse than originally anticipated and the sound must’ve been them settling at night.
Sleepily, you assured Jennie that you’d urge the plumber to come out sooner than later.
🎃
The first time something “off” happened, you didn’t really notice. The power had cut off in the middle of the day, shutting down both of your power tools, and the temperature began to drop rapidly. It was odd for the season, but you were working in a drafty part of the house.
“This wouldn’t have happened if we had just hired an electrician,” Jennie snarked, holding the flashlight for you while you tried to fix the breaker in the basement.
“I told you. No one in the area would come out here. They all think this place is haunted. If I hadn’t done it myself, we would’ve been without power for a few more weeks until someone from two towns over showed up.” You snapped back.
It had been like that the past few days. The renovations had proven to be a bit more than either of you had thought, and without much help from contractors or professionals, you had both been extremely stressed. Snapping at each other, petty remarks, and sarcasm became your chosen forms of communication since moving in.
The day after the electricity was finally restored properly, you found yourself in bed wasted. And, of course, this was the second time something obviously supernatural occurred.
Another snarky remark from Jennie led you to grabbing the nearest liquor bottle and storming off. When you woke up in bed later, barely dressed and still rather drunk, it was to the feeling of your wife straddling you. Her face was blurry and obscured in your tipsy-vision, but your hands felt their way up her trim waist regardless. Her own hands, cold to the touch so she must’ve been working in the basement or attic, slid over your chest, flicking your nipples in their path. You moaned softly as her hands came to rest around your neck.
And then she started choking you. It was nice at first, something you both liked to indulge in on occasion, but as lightheadedness in combination with your already drunken mind made you start to see spots, you rasped out your safe word.
Jennie didn’t stop.
You started yelling at her to stop, reiterating your safe word, best you could as your vision blacked; and when you felt her weight leave your waist, you stumbled to the bathroom to gulp down cold water and soothe your burning throat and chest.
Dragging yourself back into the bedroom, you found Jennie hovering in the hallway door looking concerned and confused.
“I told you to stop!” You screamed at her.
“What are you talking about?” She questioned back, her face snapping from confusion to irritation at your tone.
You sneered in condescension, “Oh? Are you too stupid to understand safe words now? Whatever. I’ll sleep in another room tonight.” She scowled as you pushed past her to sleep off the rest of the alcohol but didn’t argue further.
The third time something truly paranormal transpired in your new home, you saw it. You saw it, and you nearly shit yourself.
After your last fight, or rather you scolding Jennie on sexual boundaries, you had been sleeping elsewhere. Upon hearing loud sobs one night, you assumed it was Jennie and went to check on her, but she was nowhere to be found in your room or bathroom.
Wandering down the hall to one of the other bedrooms, the cries became louder, but they were off. They didn’t sound like your wife; it sounded like a child crying. Peeking into the room, you saw a little girl curled into a ball on the floor crying.
“Hey… Are you okay? How did you get here?”
The girl’s cries stopped, and her head snapped around to you. Her eyes were vacant and lips purple; her skin was pale and lifeless with dark black veins contrasting deeply; in her forehead was a dark red, shotgun wound.
The girl opened her mouth and let out a shriek before crawling rapidly towards you. You screamed and stumbled backwards into the hall, running for the stairs, but the girl was faster. As she grabbed your ankle, you fell forward to tumble down the stairs, and then you jolted upright.
Sweat poured down your face, breathing heavy, and you glanced around the bedroom you had been sleeping in.
“Hey, are you okay?” Jennie whispered, kneeling by the bed you were in. You jolted away from her as your nightmare played back in your mind. She hushed you and moved to hold you anyway.
After several long minutes in silence, you whispered, “This house is stressing me out, Ni…”
“I know, babe. Let’s just have a day tomorrow. No work, no remodeling. Just us together, yeah?”
“Yeah…” This house was driving you crazy.
🎃
Days turned to weeks. Weeks turned into months.
The arguments continued, heightened even. The nightmares grew more terrifying and realistic. Your sanity thinned.
At your breaking point, you asked Jennie to move out with you. She refused. In the heat of the fight, you threatened divorce. You couldn’t take much more of this. She begged you to stay, give her and the house another chance. She insisted it was still just the stress taking a toll on your relationship, on your mental health. You just needed a night out to reconnect, she said.
And maybe you did.
The two of you went out into the town—got dolled up and had dinner at a nice restaurant, took a stroll in the park, and watched the sun set at the docks.
It was nice, and you fell in love with your wife all over again.
Coming home, feeling refreshed and giggling, you both made your way to your bedroom, stumbling as you couldn’t take your hands off one another. Clothes were stripped and discarded on your way, mouths hardly leaving one another’s skin.
You both fell to the bed, fighting for dominance as was normal for you, but Jennie ended up on top. She straddled one of your thighs, grinding down when you tensed the muscle, while you sat up, sucking dark, purple marks on her neck and chest.
Jennie continued taking her own pleasure, and you reached down and harshly pinched her clit. She moaned loudly, always a bit of a glutton for pain, and urged you to do it again.
One hand remained on her thin waist, helping her slide against your thigh as she lost herself to her own pleasure; the other hand moved up to pinch and circle her nipple. When it had peaked, you bit down as rough as you knew she could take. She screamed and shook.
You smiled against her breast and glanced up, excited to see your love in ecstasy after being distant.
Instead, you let out your own blood-curdling scream.
Jennie sat above you, neck snapped at an unnatural angle. Her eyes whited out, mouth dripping with black rot. Her exposed chest ripped open, heart still pumping as blood poured out and covered you both.
You sobbed and tossed Jennie onto the ground. She twitched, her head snapping up and falling to the other side.
“What’s wrong, babe?” Jennie gurgled, viscous black seeping down from her mouth and mixing with the clotting blood splattered across her chest.
You grabbed your stomach, covering your mouth before you could vomit on yourself, and felt wetness there. Pulling your hand away from your face, it was covered in thick, warm blood. You felt yourself choke on bile.
Coughing—choking—you gagged. Nothing came up, but you still felt so ill.
Sick. Tired. Crazy.
The house had driven you crazy. And not the normal kind from stupid stress either.
The house was fucking haunted, and it wanted to drag you to hell with whatever demons lived within.
🎃
Jennie was fine. After you hyperventilated and passed out, she took you to the hospital. Your doctor said that you were physically okay, but when you explained what caused you to go into shock, he had you put on a psych hold for a few days.
Nothing happened while you were in the hospital—no visions, no nightmares, no blood or gore or screaming—which only reaffirmed your belief that your house was hell on earth.
Jennie, unfortunately, couldn’t stay. You were worried about her being in that place by herself, but you reassured yourself that it seemed you had been the target of the Amityville House’s hatred anyway. So she would be fine.
She had to be fine.
Jennie was fine.
That’s what you kept reassuring yourself with.
🎃
You wished you had never bought that godforsaken house. You wished you had just bit the bullet—so to speak—and bought somewhere nicer, more expensive, but already fixed up. You wished you had let Jennie be mad about passing on the supernatural sale, but not literally murder you.
When you got out of the hospital, having to call a taxi to take you home since you couldn’t get a hold of your wife, you found that Jennie was not, in fact, fine.
She sat, catatonic, in your living room. You shook her, shouted, even slapped her, but she didn’t respond. You had resolved to call for an ambulance, but as soon as you turned your back, she was gone.
Jennie found you before you found her.
Something dark, evil had taken over your wife. Her eyes were glazed over and bloodshot around the iris. As you called out to her, trying to wake her to her senses, her head just tipped to the side.
Your nightmares came rushing back, and you squeezed your eyes shut hoping it was just another one.
Jennie tsked at you, “C’mon now, babe. It’s no fun if you don’t even run…” Her voice wasn’t garbled this time, but it still sounded wrong. It was missing her sweet lilt, her playfulness. It was scratchy. It almost sounded like another voice laid beneath her own. Mimicking her, but not really her.
You stumbled away, and Jennie advanced with the ax, mumbling “Catch ‘em, kill ‘em…” over and over and over.
It was over rather quickly, all things considered.
Jennie had never been that strong, but she was able to pin you down easily on the floor, burying the hatchet into your chest until it was split open—mimicking the vision that hers had been in your nightmare.
She stumbled backwards off of you and pulled a small gun out her pants’ waistband.
You laid on the ground, your own thick, warm blood gurgling up. You choked on it; you felt ill. You coughed; the blood splattered across your mouth and dripped down your neck right back into your own gaping chest. You would’ve felt bile rise up if you could’ve felt anything at all.
Jennie wrapped her lips around the muzzle of the gun.
She pulled the trigger; you heard the shot, but your vision was gone before you could see her fall.
The house dragged you both down to hell with it.

1. Invocadores do Mal, de Cheryl A. Wicks, Ed e Lorraine Warren:
Tumblr media

Note

3. Invocação do Mal (2013)

Conta aqui embaixo! Abraço!

Home Sweet Home: Kill ‘Em
Summary- 3.1k Andy Barber x You. You and Andy almost have it all, married and with a jointed family consisting of Andy’s teenage son Jacob, as well as your two younger children John and Cassidy. Looking to add another member, your family is in need of a bigger house, a forever home. You find just the place, 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville Long Island.
Home Sweet Home
Written for @optimistic-dinosaur-nacho Spooky Scary Stories challenge. Divider by @firefly-graphics
Warnings- Fighting, child endangerment, violence.
A/N- I chose Amityville Horror for the challenge because its one of my favorite Spook Stories growing up. When reading you will find a lot of similarities to the 2005 Movie, some of the scenarios and dialogue are specifically from that film. Other parts of it are from the book itself. The family name was changed for my own personal reasons. Happy Haunting!  🎃
A/N 2- Thank you Everyone who stuck with me through this and have made comments about the story! You all are the very best, and I appreciate all of you.
Chapter 4 / Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next morning you woke up groggy and looked over to see Andy’s side was untouched. “That idiot must have stayed in the basement.” you say with a groan, and move to sit up, rubbing your face. Grabbing a robe you slip it on, and head out of the bedroom. You peek in on Cassidy as you pass her room, and see John is in with her. Together they are sitting on her bed playing together and you step into the room. John looks up when he hears you and clears his throat. “Are you and Andy still fighting?”
“Oh baby, I don't know. But it will be okay, I promise.” You tilt your head to kiss the top of his head and Cassidy squirms a bit.
“Is Andy mad at us? Jody says he is.” She looked miserable at you, since she loved Andy like he was her father, and didn't want him upset with her. You reach to hug her and smile.
“Andy loves you very much, I know he does. He isn't mad at you. He's just being a grumpy bear lately.” you wink and that seems to ease the kids. “I'm going to go downstairs and make breakfast, come down when you're ready.”
Leaving them to play, you run into a sleepy Jacob headed to the bathroom.
“Hey Jake.” You pause him and he rubs his eyes to look at you. “You okay?”
“Yea, Y/N. I'm gonna go see Sammy later to see how she is doing.” He smiles weakly and you approach him and give him a hug.
“I bet she will really like that. Also bring her a little something. Maybe flowers or a teddy bear. Us girls like to know we're being thought of.” you suggested while unknowingly lifting your hand to your ear lobe, rolling Andy's diamonds before smiling. “I'm gonna go risk seeing how your dad is, wish me luck.”
Jacob snorted before going into the bathroom. “You are gonna need it.”
Downstairs you went into the kitchen to see Andy sitting there, just staring at the wall. You worry your lip before deciding to take a chance, and moving a chair to sit next to him.
“Andy can we talk?” You reach to take one of his hands in yours and he pulls it away without looking at you.
Great, he's still pissed off, you thought while pulling your hand back. “Somethings not right Andy.”
His eyes dart to you from the corner of his eyes. “What do you mean, something isn't right?”
“Something with this house, it's not okay. It hasn't been in a while. I think… I think we should leave, sell this place and move.” You finally confess the thought that has been on your mind for a while now. Andy’s head whips around to look you up and down, and you could see the way they were red rimmed like he was once more sick. “God Andy, you look terrible, are you okay?”
“Fine, never better. You can't just run away from your problems Y/N.” He bit out, and you recoiled a bit at the harshness of his tone.
“Please, Andy. Lets just go. You're not well, and you haven’t been since we moved in.” You are blinking back tears now, worried for Andy and it was hurting to see him like this. Gone was the man you married, and everyday he was turning colder to you, to Jacob and the kids.
His head whipped around again, his eyes roving along the wall. “Y/N, you hear that? Someone is whispering.” You shake your head confused, and Andy whispers under his breath. “Catch ‘em…” His hands come down hard on the table and you jump, flinching away from him. “Gotta find that noise, these houses are big big projects Y/N, we can't just walk away from.” His hand snakes out and grabs yours, squeezing painfully, and you jerk it back from his hold with a cry. He sneers at you. “When did you get so fucking stupid Y/N?”
Your mouth gapes open, and wipe away the tears. “W-What?”
“We have everything in this house Y/N, every fucking god damn penny for Christs sake. I don’t even have a proper place to work and get the fuck away from all of you cause of this house.”
“I don’t care about the money Andy!” you protest and he pushes away from the table, and goes to turn on the stove to put his hands over the flames.
“I don't care about the money Andy.” He mimics you. “My money Y/N, mine. I made all the sacrifices for you to have this fucking house.”
You are fisting your hands together trying not to scream at him. “Andy we are losing each other here, don't you see? Turn off the stove and talk to me.”
He jerked the stove knob off and twisted to face you. “YOU WANTED THIS GOD FORSAKEN HOUSE Y/N, NOW YOU GOT IT.” He snarled out, thumping his fist against the counter, and you jumped, hiding your face in your hands. All three of the kids had at some point come downstairs and were standing in the doorway witnessing it. Andy’s eyes roved over them with a look of disgust, then back at you, and he shook his head. “You all are so fucking pathetic. Home sweet home.” He went down in the basement, and Jacob went past the kids and shut the door, tempted to throw the lock to keep his father shut down there.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Jacob sympathetically comes over and takes Andy's seat. You lift your head and wipe at the tears.
“Yea, yea I’m okay. Jake, I think I'm going to take John and Cassidy to my moms for a little bit. I just can't keep doing this right now. It’s killing me, it’s killing me he's become this person who I don't know. I have had news I was going to tell him last night, and I don't dare now.” you hung your head and Jacob leaned forward, taking your hand in his.
“What kind of news?” he tilted his head in question, and you lifted your head to look at him, giving a little sad smile.
“We’re pregnant, I was going to tell him before we went to bed, but with everything going on.” You wandered off, and Jacob gave a smile.
“Y/N, that's great news. Dad will be happy, I just know it.” his hand gave him a squeeze in reassurance.
“I don't think he will be.” You sigh and let go of his hands, wiping your face. “If you want me to drop you off at Laurie’s, I will.”
Jacob looks back at the basement door and gives a nod. “I think it's for the best right now. Besides, it's been a while since I have spent time at Mom’s.”
Tumblr media
Downstairs Andy paces back and forth, now the figure that has been tormenting him is following, no longer hiding. It slides up his back and clings like a second skin, whispering repeatedly in his ear.
Catch ‘em, Kill ‘em.
Andy repeats it to himself, his mind sinking further into madness. “Catch ‘em, Kill ‘em.” His head snaps up the stairs, and he sees the glowing red eyes, and the form takes shape at the basement door. It's forked tongue sticking out, while hissing his name. “Andy, Catch ‘em, Kill ‘em.”
Andy smirked, advancing up the stairs. Each step alternating. Catch, Kill, Catch, Kill. He shoved open the door to see the kitchen was empty. Going into the entrance, he paused at the steps, listening. Your voice is distinct while talking to the kids.
“Just your clothes and sleeping toys, everything else stays.” you said, and Andy starts up the stairs, pausing as he sees John packing in his room, and then Cassidy is in her room gathering her stuffed horses off the bed. Finally he ends up in the master bedroom, seeing you frantically gathering clothing from the dresser.
“Running away I see, typical.” Andy spat out, his tone filled with venom and disgust towards you.
“Don’t Andy, we're going to my mothers for a few days, Jacob said he wants to go stay with Laurie. We all need a break from each other.” you are so matter of fact about it while folding your shirts. Andy doesn't even pause as he stalks forward and when you turn around to go back to the dresser, he is right there blocking your path and he backhands you to sprawl against the floor.
You yelp in shock, and he's on you with his hands wrapped around your throat, squeezing till you start struggling, pounding on his arms to get him to let go. He’s shaking you hard enough so your head bounces off the floor. “You were going to run away and not come back bitch, think you can get away from me? I OWN your fucking ass.” he snarled in your face, spit flying from his anger, and you can just see black dots. From somewhere you hear John screaming Jacob’s name, and it all starts to fade out. “Don't worry, I will take care of the kids.”
Dropping your body, you roll away coughing and gagging while Andy pushes up and goes to look for the kids, who both had run to Jacob’s room. Jacob is squatting next to them, listening to what was going on, when he caught sight of Andy stalking down the hallway. Cassidy looked as well and screamed.
“Jody! Jody is on his back!” Cassidy for the first time looks at Andy and Jody in fear. Jacob couldn't believe what he was seeing. Just over Andy's shoulder was something following him, looming over him with a grotesque face, fangs bared which Andy also was baring his teeth at the children, glowing red eyes flared and both Andy and Jody shouted at the same time. “Catch em, Kill em!”
“Run guys, get out of the house!” Jacob pushed the kids towards the stairs, and they started racing down. Jacob felt Andy’s hand grab the nape of his neck and drag him back to slam him forward once more. Sending Jacob flying forward and colliding with the other two children, all three landing in a heap at the bottom.
He scrambles up, trying to get John and Cassidy on their feet when Andy is about to start down, but you moments earlier had gained strength to get moving. Racing forward, you grab the back of his shirt around whatever the horror is that is clinging to his back and yanks backwards to try and stop him.
“Andy! Stop! Those are your kids!” you scream, and he whips around, grabbing your arm to wrench it viciously, and slams you into the wall.
“No no no. Those little ones are not my fucking responsibility. But I will be sure to take care of them once I get my hands on their necks.” He grinned coldly, the creature clinging to him hissed again. “Catch em, Kill em.”
You sobbed as he fists a hand to hit you with and you sob out. “Andy, fuck Andy don't. I’m pregnant. With your child. Don’t hurt me.” Below you can hear the door open and the only thing you can think of is at least the kids escaped, because from the look in Andy’s eyes, you weren't going to.
But they cleared a bit, he blinked in surprise. “You are what?” His hand loosened from the first about to pummel you.
Taking a shuddering breath, you say again. “Pregnant, we're pregnant Andy. You are going to have another child.” Hoping beyond anything that it would be enough for him to break out of whatever the demon spawn grasp. It finally clicked for you that it must be Jody. The thing your daughter had been conversing with. Jody screamed in rage, and Andy turned cold again, his and once more locking into a fist. You heaved a shove at his chest to break loose while he seemed confused, and started to half run, half stumble down the steps. Andy's heavy footfalls are not far behind, and you try to get out the door, but it slammed shut on you. Twisting to get away from Andy, you race into the living room where Jacob is prying open a window.
“Y/N! Hurry!” He reaches in and grabs your arm, helping hauling you out. Andy grabs your leg, and you kick out with the other one, catching him in the face. You felt the crunch of bone where his nose gave way, but he let go enough for Jacob to continue pulling you towards the car.
He too is stumbling out the window, and when you look over your shoulder, you put on a burst of speed down the driveway, and both of you dive into the front seats. Your hands shaking, you grab the keys from the visor and try to get the car to start.
“Hurry! Y/N, he's coming.” Jacob yells, and you cry out.
“I'm trying! Oh god, Andy STOP!” In the backseat John and Cassidy are screaming in fear and you get the car in drive, slamming on the gas pedal while you are screaming at your husband. The sudden surge forward happened to catch Andy, sprawling him across the hood, and then shooting him forward to land in a heap. You slam on the break and stare at him, your mind whirring so fast you cant believe your saying what's coming out of your mouth.
“Jacob, there is rope in the trunk, get it. We have to get him out of here.”
“Y/N, are you crazy?! Dad was just about to kill us!” Jacob shakes his head in a no and you pop the trunk.
“It's the house Jacob, it's not your dad's fault. We have to hurry before he wakes back up though.” You urge and are going out your door to check on Andy, and Jacob hesitates, and then follows, grabbing the rope out of the trunk and racing back.
You roll Andy to his stomach and yank your unconscious husband's hands behind his back and once Jacob comes over, you tie them as quickly as you can. Beneath you Andy starts groaning, and he’s saying something. But it's slurred, and you get up to grab his shoulders. “Come on, let's get him in the trunk.”
It felt like it took forever, Andy was so heavy and you both struggled getting him around the car. When you start to push him into the trunk, you see a shadow figure lurking just at the edge of the house, still chanting “Catch ‘em, Kill ‘em.”
With a heave, you shove Andy in, and he twists, wild eyed. “Y/N, Y/N, Baby, just fucking kill me, I’m not going to stop. It's trying to take me again.” You look down at him, and shake your head, your tears streaming down your face.
“I’m getting you out of here Andy.” Slamming the trunk shut while Andy starts screaming your name. Ignoring the thing lurking along the shadow of the house, you get back in the car and whip it around, 112 Ocean Avenue House in your rear view.
You drive, as fast as possible away from the town. Once you feel you are far enough away, you go to a hospital and get the whole family into the emergency room, including a half out of it Andy. “Please, please I need help. My husband was hit by a car.” You try to stumble Andy in, but he collapses, weakened from the whole ordeal.
Tumblr media
There is a noise, it's annoying Andy as he starts to come back. It was a buzzing in his ear and a steady beep. He can tell he's not in his bed, this mattress was much too hard. His thoughts race all before he gets the energy to pry his eyelids apart. Trying to remember what happened. It was hazy, he remembered being in the basement, his mind heavy with the liquor and rage at his family, at you. You were leaving the house and him. After that he didn't want to remember, it was a sickening drive to choke the life out of you, the kids, and Jacob too.
Andy eventually blinks his eyes open, and the first thing he sees is you sitting by his bed, holding his hand. “Y/N?” he says hoarsely, and you nod, squeezing his hand with a smile.
“Hey Andy, I’m right here.” you say and he lifts his hand to cup your face, tracing your bruises gently as his eyes well up.
“Oh babygirl, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.” He drops his hand and you shift from your seat to sit on his bed and cup his face, now the tears were soaking in his beard and you could see he was remembering everything that happened, what he was almost made to do.
“Andy, hush baby hush. I knew that wasn’t you.” You ease down, your head on his chest, and he buries his face on the top of your head, still crying unable to help himself. He could have lost all of you, in seconds. He fought it, tried to. But that thing, Jody was stronger then he was, and shame filled him that he would have killed all of you. Uncontrolled sobs wracked his body harshly, harsher than that cough ever done to him. He clung to you for a few minutes till the overwhelming emotions backed off, and he eased his hold.
You shift a bit to sit back up and take his hand in yours. “Andy we got out, all of us. You're in the worst shape, Jacob and the kids are all perfectly safe. We never have to go back to that place.”
Andy shook his head, fear filling him at any of you returning. “God fuck no. None of us are ever going back to that house. Destroy it. Tear it down.”
You nod, your fingers tracing his hand and you smiled. “Hey, I have some good news. Something to make today a bit better.” You take his hand and press it against your belly. “You're gonna be a daddy again.”
His fingers flexed slightly, and he moved to sit up with a shudder. “Oh fuck, I didn’t hurt you there did I?” His other hand cupped your face and you shook your head.
“No, actually when I told you, you snapped out of the control. How I knew it wasn't you. You did your best to stop it.” your hand rubbed over his pressed against your stomach. “I'm going to go get the doctor, let them look you over.” You kissed his forehead and moved off the bed, leaving the room. Andy eased back against the pillows. You were sure he was fine before you closed the door all the way, heading towards the nurses station. On the way, you had to pass the room that had the children in it, and as you were passing it, you distinctly heard Cassidy’s voice chant. “Jody, we can play Catch ‘em, Kill ‘em later, right now I want to watch Blue’s Clues.”
Your throat closed up, and when you eased the door open, there was Cassidy sitting in the middle of the bed sipping on her juice box.
“Hi Mommy, Jody’s back to play!”

oh jeez so like. sorren's body was probably picked out by mistake. theyre jsust going to accidentally resurrect a frickin eldritch monster god Dang
GFHJHDBGFH YEP
Luckily for them, Sorren is content to assist with their gang and just chill in a rainbowdrinker costume for a Pretty Long While
Being dead that long really takes out a lot of your energy, so while they ARE a horrible eldritch monster that is theoretically capable of leveling Amityville, they have little capability to do that right now. And it’s gonna take a century or two of R&R to get there.

Chapter One
Ten Years Earlier
Emilee stuck her hand out the window of the beat up, old, green pick up truck, letting her hand fly through the air. Her boyfriend, Jason, in the driver’s seat, window down singing to some song she didn’t know the name of. The two were on a road trip, camping here and there in the back of the truck. Their destination unknown, for the two had taken the essentials and whatever money they saved up and left. No notes, no goodbyes, just left the world they knew to start a new life together. Stopping for some gas, Emilee runs into the small run down shop to get some snacks. “Will that be all?” The woman behind the counter asked as she rang the items up and placed them into a bag.
“Could I also get a pack of Newport Menthol one-hundreds?” She asked as she handed the woman her I.D., looking out at the darkening sky. The woman took a look and grabbed the cigarettes.
“That’ll be thirty-two dollars and forty-six cents.” She tossed the smokes in the bag with the rest of the things. Putting the money in the register, she handed Emilee her bag. “Your man’s a looker, better keep him close unless you want to lose him.” She spoke seriously.
“And what's that supposed to mean?” Emilee asked defensively, she knows Jason is downright one of the most handsome men out there, but obviously this man knows he is taken, so why would she come out and such a thing?
“There’s something that lurks out in these parts at night. Something evil, people say it likes to take handsome men. Just be careful.” The woman spoke again, her voice was serious, lacking any other emotion.
“You have got to be shitting me, you're a crazy bitch.” Emilee grabbed her bag and left, lighting a cigarette as she walked towards the truck, Jason patiently waiting for her in the cab.
“You okay, babe?” He asked with an eyebrow raised, his hand out asking to bum a smoke from her.
“Yeah,” She handed him a cigarette. “But the bitch behind the register tried saying some shit about keeping you close because something evil lurks in this area and takes handsome men.” She took a drag and slowly blew the smoke out. “I’m pretty sure she was just interested in getting into your pants.” Jason laughed, leaning over to kiss his girlfriend on the cheek.
“No crazy bitch will be getting into my pants anytime soon. Except for you of course.” Emilee gasped, smiling and playfully slapping her boyfriend on the chest.
“You asshole, just drive. I want to get the back set up before it gets too terribly dark.” Emilee stomped out her cigarette and got into the truck.
“Anything you want, babe.” Jason smiled and started up the truck. They drove for another thirty minutes before finding a spot just inside a wooden area. The roads were deserted, but in case any car decided to pass, it would be more comfortable if they were somewhat hidden. Laying in the bed of the truck, air mattress blown, pillows lining the bed walls and blankets haphazardly thrown on top of the couple. Legs and arms tangled with one another, Emilee laid her head on Jason’s chest, listening to his heart beat.
“Fuck, I gotta take a piss.” She sighed, gently pushing herself up and making her way towards the back of the truck.
“Don’t get lost babe!” She heard Jason call.
“Can’t get rid of me that easily!” She continued for a moment before she felt safe enough to drop her pants and squat. As she held the roll of toilet paper in her hand, she heard a rustle in the bushes not far off to her left. “Jason?” She asked, but received no reply. “Jason, if that’s you, this isn't funny!” She wiped herself briefly before pulling up her sleep shorts. The bushes rustled once again. “Jason?” She asked once more, making her way to the rustling branches of the berry bush. Suddenly, a squirrel ran out from underneath causing Emilee to let out a small squeak and then chuckle to herself. “Fucking woods. I feel like I’m in some cliche, shitty horror movie” She turned and stared into the eyes of the woman from the gas station.
“Told you to keep a close eye on your man.”
After a few minutes, Jason sat up from his comfortable position, looking towards the area Emilee had walked towards. “Em?! Baby?! You okay?!” He called, eyes looking around the surrounding area.
“I’m okay, babe. Just… Ran into an old friend.” Emilee suddenly appeared next to him.
“Jesus fucking christ!” Jason rested a hand over his chest.
“No. Not quite.”
~~~~
“The police never found Jason’s body. It’s like he just… vanished. Emilee’s body was drained of her blood, not even a trace of it on the ground where she died. Only thing they found was some puncture wounds on her arm, but other than that… nothing.” Jean spoke to the group of his friends while they sat in a rounded booth at the local diner.
“Come on, Jean. You're telling me that a girl was bitten by a vampire and her boyfriend just vanished? I bet it was the boyfriend. Kill the girl and just leave.” Connie spoke as he took a bite from his burger, his girlfriend, Sasha stealing some of his fries.
“See, I thought about that too. But that wouldn’t explain how she was bled dry with no traces of it anywhere, nor does it explain the puncture wounds on her arm.” This was a normal thing for the group, it started after they graduated, traveling around to visit certain murder areas. They been to Lizzie Bourden’s house, the Amityville Horror house, they even been to the sight of the Murder Hotel H.H. Holmes created. Mazes and trap doors, dead ends and torture rooms where countless victims had suffered. But this one was knew, this was a murder that happen only ten years earlier, but what was strange was the fact that there was multiple similar cases scattered across the united states over the last couple hundred years, all unsolved.
“Jean makes a good point, even if I hate to admit it.” Eren spoke, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I’m so proud of you, Eren! Finally agreeing to something my brother said without calling him ‘Horseface’!” You exclaimed while clapping your hands. The rest laughed while Eren grumbled.
“Come on, Brats. It’s getting dark and I want to get to the motel early enough to clean it and get enough sleep.” The group's driver, Levi, spoke as he came from the restroom. Levi was older than the rest of the group by a couple of years, but he was the only one with a R.V. that could transport the entire group around. He was also there as a “chaperone” due to the fact that Eren, Jean, Connie and Armin somehow always got themselves into trouble.
With Levi in the driver’s seat, his best friend and forensic major, Hanje in the passenger seat, the rest of you in the back, you headed off You had your legs across Eren’s as he, Jean and Connie played among us and your head rested in Armin’s lap as you two talked about conspiracy theories.
Sahsha was raiding the mini fridge, Marco fiddling with his camera, Ymir and Krista doing something in the back room, no one cared to figure out what, and Mikasa sat reading a book. How she never got motion sickness you would never know.
“Okay, brats. I gotta get gas. Someone go inside and pay and grab some more snacks. I think Sasha ate them all.” Levi grumbled as he pulled into a shitty little gas station.  Connie and Sasha quickly ran in and got snacks and paid for the gas.
“Will that be everything?” The woman behind the counter asked, a smile quickly replacing her scowl upon noticing the boy with the buzzcut.
“And these snacks please!” Sasha yelled as she threw the chips, nuts and can of soda and energy drinks onto the counter.
“Can I also get a pack of smokes? Whatever the cheapest is, menthol.” The woman nodded kindly, grabbing the pack he got for Levi, knowing that may be the only way to keep his rage under control. “You better be careful out there. Wouldn’t want a handsome man like yourself to get lost.” She winked at him. Connie gave her a weird look before looking at Sasha, “Imma head back.” He nodded towards the RV and Sasha nodded quickly.
“I’ll be right there, I’m debating if I want to get these weird looking candies.” He shook his and gave a smile.
“Don’t be too long! Levi won’t hesitate to leave you behind!” Sasha waved him off, too busy with the treats. Sasha decided she was going to buy ten bags, even if she didn’t like them. Who the hell is she kidding, Sasha liked everything she ate. She went to the counter and put the candies down, pulling her wallet out and putting thirty bucks on the counter.
The woman bagged the snacks and put the cash into the register. Handing Sasha back the change, she spoke. “Better keep an eye on your man. He is cute and I’d hate for anything bad to happen to him.
“Fuck off, freak.” She grabbed her shit and made to leave. The cashier grabbed her arm with a wicked smile taking over her face.
“Where the fuck is Sasha?” Eren grumbled.
“I told you, she was eyeing the candy. You know how she is with food.” Connie defended though it wasn’t to any one’s surprise. Everyone knew Connie had a thing for her.
“Hey! I’m back! Sorry, the cashier was being fucking weird.” Sasha said as she scrambled back into the RV snack bag in hand.
“About fucking time. Lets go brats! The motel is just up ahead.” Levi said as he started up the engine, driving ten minutes to the motel.
Once in the rooms, everyone got who they were rooming with and what room. Armin and Eren, Connie and Jean, Ymir and Krista, Mikasa and you, Sasha and Hanje, and then Levi and poor poor Marco in another. Everyone settled down and began to discuss what they hoped to find. Not like they would be able to find much after ten years, but the thought was still thrilling.
As Hanje was falling asleep she swore she heard giggling from Sasha, not bothering to even spare a glance, figuring it was just her texting Connie. Sasha looked at the ceiling, her smile forming. “So…. hungry.”
Ten Years Earlier
Emilee stuck her hand out the window of the beat up, old, green pick up truck, letting her hand fly through the air. Her boyfriend, Jason, in the driver’s seat, window down singing to some song she didn’t know the name of. The two were on a road trip, camping here and there in the back of the truck. Their destination unknown, for the two had taken the essentials and whatever money they saved up and left. No notes, no goodbyes, just left the world they knew to start a new life together. Stopping for some gas, Emilee runs into the small run down shop to get some snacks. “Will that be all?” The woman behind the counter asked as she rang the items up and placed them into a bag.
“Could I also get a pack of Newport Menthol one-hundreds?” She asked as she handed the woman her I.D., looking out at the darkening sky. The woman took a look and grabbed the cigarettes.
“That’ll be thirty-two dollars and forty-six cents.” She tossed the smokes in the bag with the rest of the things. Putting the money in the register, she handed Emilee her bag. “Your man’s a looker, better keep him close unless you want to lose him.” She spoke seriously.
“And what's that supposed to mean?” Emilee asked defensively, she knows Jason is downright one of the most handsome men out there, but obviously this man knows he is taken, so why would she come out and such a thing?
“There’s something that lurks out in these parts at night. Something evil, people say it likes to take handsome men. Just be careful.” The woman spoke again, her voice was serious, lacking any other emotion.
“You have got to be shitting me, you're a crazy bitch.” Emilee grabbed her bag and left, lighting a cigarette as she walked towards the truck, Jason patiently waiting for her in the cab.
“You okay, babe?” He asked with an eyebrow raised, his hand out asking to bum a smoke from her.
“Yeah,” She handed him a cigarette. “But the bitch behind the register tried saying some shit about keeping you close because something evil lurks in this area and takes handsome men.” She took a drag and slowly blew the smoke out. “I’m pretty sure she was just interested in getting into your pants.” Jason laughed, leaning over to kiss his girlfriend on the cheek.
“No crazy bitch will be getting into my pants anytime soon. Except for you of course.” Emilee gasped, smiling and playfully slapping her boyfriend on the chest.
“You asshole, just drive. I want to get the back set up before it gets too terribly dark.” Emilee stomped out her cigarette and got into the truck.
“Anything you want, babe.” Jason smiled and started up the truck. They drove for another thirty minutes before finding a spot just inside a wooden area. The roads were deserted, but in case any car decided to pass, it would be more comfortable if they were somewhat hidden. Laying in the bed of the truck, air mattress blown, pillows lining the bed walls and blankets haphazardly thrown on top of the couple. Legs and arms tangled with one another, Emilee laid her head on Jason’s chest, listening to his heart beat.
“Fuck, I gotta take a piss.” She sighed, gently pushing herself up and making her way towards the back of the truck.
“Don’t get lost babe!” She heard Jason call.
“Can’t get rid of me that easily!” She continued for a moment before she felt safe enough to drop her pants and squat. As she held the roll of toilet paper in her hand, she heard a rustle in the bushes not far off to her left. “Jason?” She asked, but received no reply. “Jason, if that’s you, this isn't funny!” She wiped herself briefly before pulling up her sleep shorts. The bushes rustled once again. “Jason?” She asked once more, making her way to the rustling branches of the berry bush. Suddenly, a squirrel ran out from underneath causing Emilee to let out a small squeak and then chuckle to herself. “Fucking woods. I feel like I’m in some cliche, shitty horror movie” She turned and stared into the eyes of the woman from the gas station.
“Told you to keep a close eye on your man.”
After a few minutes, Jason sat up from his comfortable position, looking towards the area Emilee had walked towards. “Em?! Baby?! You okay?!” He called, eyes looking around the surrounding area.
“I’m okay, babe. Just… Ran into an old friend.” Emilee suddenly appeared next to him.
“Jesus fucking christ!” Jason rested a hand over his chest.
“No. Not quite.”
~~~~
“The police never found Jason’s body. It’s like he just… vanished. Emilee’s body was drained of her blood, not even a trace of it on the ground where she died. Only thing they found was some puncture wounds on her arm, but other than that… nothing.” Jean spoke to the group of his friends while they sat in a rounded booth at the local diner.
“Come on, Jean. You're telling me that a girl was bitten by a vampire and her boyfriend just vanished? I bet it was the boyfriend. Kill the girl and just leave.” Connie spoke as he took a bite from his burger, his girlfriend, Sasha stealing some of his fries.
“See, I thought about that too. But that wouldn’t explain how she was bled dry with no traces of it anywhere, nor does it explain the puncture wounds on her arm.” This was a normal thing for the group, it started after they graduated, traveling around to visit certain murder areas. They been to Lizzie Bourden’s house, the Amityville Horror house, they even been to the sight of the Murder Hotel H.H. Holmes created. Mazes and trap doors, dead ends and torture rooms where countless victims had suffered. But this one was knew, this was a murder that happen only ten years earlier, but what was strange was the fact that there was multiple similar cases scattered across the united states over the last couple hundred years, all unsolved.
“Jean makes a good point, even if I hate to admit it.” Eren spoke, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I’m so proud of you, Eren! Finally agreeing to something my brother said without calling him ‘Horseface’!” You exclaimed while clapping your hands. The rest laughed while Eren grumbled.
“Come on, Brats. It’s getting dark and I want to get to the motel early enough to clean it and get enough sleep.” The group's driver, Levi, spoke as he came from the restroom. Levi was older than the rest of the group by a couple of years, but he was the only one with a R.V. that could transport the entire group around. He was also there as a “chaperone” due to the fact that Eren, Jean, Connie and Armin somehow always got themselves into trouble.
With Levi in the driver’s seat, his best friend and forensic major, Hanje in the passenger seat, the rest of you in the back, you headed off You had your legs across Eren’s as he, Jean and Connie played among us and your head rested in Armin’s lap as you two talked about conspiracy theories.
Sahsha was raiding the mini fridge, Marco fiddling with his camera, Ymir and Krista doing something in the back room, no one cared to figure out what, and Mikasa sat reading a book. How she never got motion sickness you would never know.
“Okay, brats. I gotta get gas. Someone go inside and pay and grab some more snacks. I think Sasha ate them all.” Levi grumbled as he pulled into a shitty little gas station.  Connie and Sasha quickly ran in and got snacks and paid for the gas.
“Will that be everything?” The woman behind the counter asked, a smile quickly replacing her scowl upon noticing the boy with the buzzcut.
“And these snacks please!” Sasha yelled as she threw the chips, nuts and can of soda and energy drinks onto the counter.
“Can I also get a pack of smokes? Whatever the cheapest is, menthol.” The woman nodded kindly, grabbing the pack he got for Levi, knowing that may be the only way to keep his rage under control. “You better be careful out there. Wouldn’t want a handsome man like yourself to get lost.” She winked at him. Connie gave her a weird look before looking at Sasha, “Imma head back.” He nodded towards the RV and Sasha nodded quickly.
“I’ll be right there, I’m debating if I want to get these weird looking candies.” He shook his and gave a smile.
“Don’t be too long! Levi won’t hesitate to leave you behind!” Sasha waved him off, too busy with the treats. Sasha decided she was going to buy ten bags, even if she didn’t like them. Who the hell is she kidding, Sasha liked everything she ate. She went to the counter and put the candies down, pulling her wallet out and putting thirty bucks on the counter.

Tumblr media
A família Lutz

The True Story Behind The Amityville Horror (1979) And The 9 Other Times Paranormal Evidence Was Used In Court
I can hear the birds singing.
I can see a brilliant blue sky as it bathes my small Kentish town in the year’s first rays of light.
And I can feel the first thawe of February.
F*ck off winter, and hello spring!
As I sit on my bed, looking outside my window at the resurrection of the once-green landscape of my hometown, I am reminded of the true meaning of this season: life.
The mating season begins for most small, furry creatures, daffodils stand proudly as the first flower to mark their territory, and, like, there’s something about Jesus but I don’t think that had that much of an impact on the world, did it?
But I’m not the first person who was eager to turn their back on winter - the season of death - and look forward to a brighter year.
Tumblr media
I’m sure the Lutz family, having fled their family home in mid-January, were just as ready to quash their terrifying experiences that were only darkened by the brutal winter months.
“Lutz… I know that name.”
Unless you were only until recently within a cult and decided to turn your back on Almighty Zarp Goddess Of Destruction, you’ll probably have heard that surname before. But who were they?
Well, to jog your memory, they were a small All-American family who lived in a small All-American town known as Amityville.
Yeah, there you go, now you know where I’m heading with this.
(Or you read the title of this post.)
Amityville is a town in New York which set the scene for probably the most famous haunting the world has ever witnessed. And with several families undergoing intense happenings - from murders to manic paranormal activity - this house has earned its place in the history books.
Oh, and on the big screen, too; 16 feature films have retold the story, including one film which featured Mr Pool himself, Ryan Reynolds.
Tumblr media
So, as your favourite paranormal blogger, I thought I’d devote an article to the insanity that was Amityville, and dissect how real the reality shown in the films was for the 2 families that once lived at 112 Ocean Drive.
And I’m not stopping there.
What made this haunting so iconic was how it planted its paranormal feet into the legal system as a result of the murder case the hauntings are linked to. But the thing is, Amityville is far from alone when it comes to legal courts having to deal with the supernatural.
There are actually 9 other prominent legal cases from which the courts have had to debate and discuss the paranormal.
And I’m gon’ tell you all about ‘em.
*Bangs gavel*
Before We Get Spooky, Let’s Summarise What The Films Had To Say About This Haunting
(And they’ve got a lot to say.)
Like I said, there are 16 films that claim they document the events witnessed by the Lutz family in their short stay. No, really, they were there for less than 28 days.
From 1979 all the way up to 2017, we have a variety of films that explore what went down in that house, and, given they are horror films, we also get a few laughs along the way.
Like the 1992 classic Amityville: It’s About Time, which sounds like it might star Vin Diesel in a Fast and Furious crossover.
Or maybe how in the same year Amityville: Playhouse and Amityville: Death House hit the theatres.
And even the rendition of the Amityville Horror from which the realtor having shown the new occupants around the house died in the driveway when he attempted to leave the property!
Tumblr media
So, to cut out that crap, I’ve decided to just recap what occurs in the 3 most popular movies of this franchise:
The Amityville Horror (1979), The Amityville Horror (2005), and Amityville: Awakening (2017).
The Amityville Horror (1979)
Sharing the same title as the book supposedly based on the real events witnessed by the Lutz family, this film was the first to share the story of the DeFeo family and the following inhabitants of the house. . The film starts by showing us the final moments of the DeFeo family, from which some bloke kills all of ‘em. From there we bear witness to a new family moving into the home.
And things get spooky quickly.
A visit from a priest gives us the first signs of the supernatural as he  experiences a variety of attacks from beyond the grave, whether its swarms of flies to a blistered hand when trying to warn Kathy, the mother of the family, about. An angry spirit then tells him to ‘get out’, triggering his complete mental breakdown.
The paranormal forces then encroach on the patriarch of the famalam - George - leaving him to split firewood to keep the constant cold at bay. Unexplained events begin to haunt the entire family:
The young daughter of the family mentions an imaginary friend, and a pig with glowing red eyes is seen by her bedroom window. The doggo then becomes cray-cray about the basement which is later revealed to conceal a small, hidden room that has red walls.
Things then get weirder. George begins to wake up at 3.15am every morning to check on the boathouse, and Kathy has nightmares which reveal details of what down in the first scene of the movie. A quick trip to the archives later, and she deduces that this house is built on a Shinnecock (Native American) burial ground, and that a satan worshipper - John Ketchum - once lived there.
If that wasn’t enough, she discovers the story of the DeFeo family, and notes that Ronald DeFeo - the murderer - looks uncomfortably similar to George.
It all comes to a head when blood oozes down the staircase and Jody (you know, the sweet adorable imaginary friend who is actually a pig) is seen through the window. Oh, and George tries to kill everyone with an axe.
Kathy brings him out of his trance, and they both get the f*ck outta the house.
We are told that they didn’t return for their belongings.
Tumblr media
The Amityville Horror (2005)
For this modern retelling of the original film, the scenes are re-arranged, the hauntings are more minimalist, and just a dash of Ryan Reynolds is added.
And is he playing Ryan Reynolds? ‘Course.
But the major difference between the OG and this icon is that the basis for the hauntings is explored in a much more artistic and developed way:
We see the Native Americans that were supposedly tortured and killed by some guy called Ketchum, and we even see Ketchum himself! Well, for a very brief moment; he simply recreates his suicide and spews blood over Ryan Reynolds George.
This possesses him, and causes him to try and kill the rest of his family as they try to escape the house.
Kathy knocks Ryan Reynolds George out and takes him off the property to release him from Ketchum’s control.
Aside from the greater detail regarding Ketchum - that is, we discover that he was in a cult and was a reverend - we also see Jodie for the first time. No, she’s not the demonic pig we see in the first film. She’s a young creepy-ass girl instead.
What a trade!
Tumblr media
The film ends just like the OG, with a title card explaining that they pissed off and never returned to the house. But once again, a divergence with the 1970s version is revealed.
No, not the questionable hairstyles and cinematic style that looks like it was filmed with a toaster:
The final scene shows Jodie scream in terror inside the house as the furniture rearranges itself. She is then dragged beneath the floorboards by two hands, and the screen fades to black…
This confirms that this movie - alongside the later renditions of the story - don’t necessarily point to a specific haunting, but rather look at the house as the source of the haunting. In fact, they just skip out the DeFeos altogether!
This is down to the fact that the movies are directly based on the book of the same name which was released in 1977. Based off 45 hours worth of tapes from the Lutz family, this book wasn’t necessarily written with the family, but clearly had enough information to brew this highly controversial book.
The events charted in the book will be discussed later in this post.
Amityville: Awakening (2017)
The latest film in this franchise swaps out one famous face for another - Bella Thorne stars as a teen that moves into the infamous house with her family and brain-dead brother.
But instead of retelling the Lutz’s story yet again, it explores the power of the house as it slowly begins to possess the brother until he begins to carry out the murders that plague the house.
It is even revealed that the mother brought them to the house in the hope that the demonic energy would help the brother. But, with a gaggle of friends who know the story of the house - and even show the main character the 2005 film - they help her defend against the powers of the house.
The film ends with the sister dragging her brother out of the house and beyond the magic circle she drew, ending the power of the house over the brother after he begins murdering various family members.
The final scene notes that the main character is being questioned by the police, bringing us back to the main point of this post:
This haunting set itself apart by roping in the legal courts.
But how true were these films to the real claims made by the family? And what really happened on November 13th 1974?
Tumblr media
What Really Happened At 112 Ocean Avenue?
Whenever someone mentions Amityville, someone gets sued.
Some guy writes a book? They get taken to court. Another bloke makes a film? Lawyers get pissy about the new details added in.
But obviously, this all started in 1974, when Ronald DeFeo killed all 6 members of his family at 112 Ocean Avenue. The courts definitely got involved then, and they are still are - he is currently serving time having been convicted of second degree murder in 1975.
The DeFeo’s deaths were rather peculiar though, mirroring an almost ritualistic scene; each victim was found lying in their bed, face down. At first he ran out of the house and reported that his family had been shot, only confessing days later that he was the killer.
The family had lived in the house since 1965, and thus spent a decade in what many presume to be a haunted due to the experiences of the Lutzes. Could this have caused the murders?
According to some, the paranormal forces could’ve been at the house before the DeFeos moved in as the insanity defense pedalled by DeFeo’s lawyers claimed that he heard the voices of his family plotting against him.
"Once I started, I just couldn't stop. It went so fast" - Ronald DeFeo
I’m sure this mirrors the beliefs and actions of most murderers, but this sense of being out of control or maybe even not yourself certainly fits the bill of possession that the movies always pin on George Lutz.
The isolation of the George figure we see in the film and the voices heard throughout suggest this, but the DeFeo story is often skipped in the films and the books.
Yet despite DeFeo’s confession, the murders are still bathed in mystery. The police were puzzled by the fact that the corpses showed no sign of struggle, and were confused by the sheer scale and speed that the killings would have required. On top of this, neighbours didn’t hear the shots despite the gun not having a silencer.
Even the motive was uncertain.
Sure, DeFeo did ask about his father’s life insurance very quickly following his death, but many didn’t think that was reason enough to kill one’s entire family.
DeFeo’s story has twisted and turned overtime, but one thing is for sure: no haunting is ever mentioned in this side of the story.
None. Nada. Zilch.
This is why any retelling of Amityville focuses on the murders that took place there, but also tries to trace back the haunting to a satanic cause buried in the history of the house.
To this day the question still stands: what really caused the haunting of Amityville?
The book The Amityville Horror (1977) tries to answer this question, and charts each claim of the Lutz family. And unfortunately, it confirms that the films portray an uncomfortably accurate haunting.
The hauntings noted by the Lutz family are nothing short of incredible - however you interpret my use of that word..
The spooky goings-on reported include:
A priest being told to ‘get out’ and his subsequent telephone call warning the family to stay out of a room being cut short
George would wake up at 3.15am an check the boathouse - this was the estimated time of the murders
Flies would swarm the house despite their arrival in mid-winter
Kathy would have violent and detailed nightmares about the murders
The family members all began to sleep on their stomachs
Missy, the daughter, made an imaginary friend called Jodie, a pig with red glowing eyes
Green slime oozed from walls
Hoof prints similar to that of a pig were spotted in the snow
However, the most intriguing piece of the paranormal discovered at Amityville was that small room with red walls that was found in the basement - a room considered to be the source of the evil in the house. And, just like in the films, the family dog had severe reactions to it such as cowering and refusing to go near it.
It was only when they fled to a relative’s house and saw slime coming up the stairs towards them that they decided that they would not be returning to 112 Ocean Avenue.
Evidently the silver screen tapped into the nature of the hauntings, but the possession of George Lutz? According to the Lutzes, it only went as far as George noticing that he bore a resemblance to Ronald.
What about Reverend Ketchum? And the Native American burial ground?
Doesn’t exist and didn’t happen.
Well, okay, some bloke called Ketchum would have existed - this was a popular name for settlers from England. But there’s no evidence that he spent his spare time in a cult or murdered Native Americans there. And the Shinnecock Native Americans? Sure, they exist, but leaders claimed this was not a burial ground.
In reality, all we have is a chaotic level of activity.
Or do we?
The book has encountered a fair share of controversy, with most major details being overturned.
Hoof prints in the snow? It didn’t snow that day.
The red room? It was a closet, and it wasn't concealed.
The claims by the priest? He never said they were of paranormal origin.
"Nothing weird ever happened, except for people coming by because of the book and the movie." - The couple that lived there after the Lutzes.

The 9 Other Cases Of Evidence Of The Paranormal Being Used In Court
I love me a ghost.
The problem is, there’s a lot of ‘em.
You’d think Amityville was like the only case where the paranormal made their way into court cases, stamping the supernatural into legal files and sending shivers down the jury’s spine…
But unfortunately, that is not true.
It turns out that tales of haunting are actually clogging up legal archives. And no, I don’t mean cases where a woman would sneeze in the 16th century and they would legally have some right to burn her cause clearly she was a witch.
In fact, some of these mysterious mentions have founded laws!
“Alexa, play the Legally Blonde soundtrack.”
#1 - The Greenbrier Ghost
Woman dies. Husband acts suspicious. Husband acts more suspicious. Ghost tells mother the husband did it. Case closed.
No, seriously - that’s what happened.
Elva Zona Heaster was murdered in 1897 at the hands of her husband. Having broken her neck, he claimed complications with pregnancy killed her, and dressed the corpse to prevent people seeing the real cause of her death.
The grandmother was the first to become unsure of his story having washed the scarf that was tied around her daughter’s definitely-not-f*cked-up neck and being unable to wash out a blood stain. She began to pray, and her daughter’s spirit explained to her what occurred.
She even did an Exorcist and twisted her head round to confirm just in case her mam didn’t get the message.
She reported the sighting, and the deputies immediately questioned people of interest. The body was reinvestigated, and the husband arrested.
Boom. Ghosted.
#2 - The Hammersmith Ghost Murder
You’d expect most cases mentioned here to involve someone being murdered and their ghost being the problem, right?
This bad boy bucks the trend.
Its 1803, and we are in fair London town. A ghost is on the loose from, I don’t know, hell, and is wandering the streets. An armed patrol is in the area to protect the citizens when a figure emerges, wearing all white.
“Looks pretty ghosty to me, must shoot ghost” thinks one of the armed patrol guys. They shoot ghost, but ghost is actually a bricklayer.
F*ck.
The British courts thus debate whether attacking or killing someone out of a misunderstanding counts as a crime. It officially becomes a part of UK law that stands to this day that such an act is not worthy of a sentence as if the crime was intentionally committed.

#3 - Stambovsky vs. Ackley
Also known as The Ghostbusters Ruling, this takes us to the other side of the Pond, all the way to New York. Oh, and this time we aren’t in the 19th century, it's 1991, instead.
The story goes a buyer bought a house that was widely believed to be haunted, but they weren't aware of these claims. Thus, they asked for a recission of the contract and claimed that this sale was fraudulent as they concealed the haunting to avoid lowering the sale price.
The courts - after much mocking and deliberation - finally came to the conclusion that legally the house was haunted, and therefore houses that are supposedly haunted must be presented in this way.
#4 - The Devil Made Me Do It Case
This case does what it says on the tin, and is even set to be the basis for the next instalment of The Conjuring franchise.
The trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson has already been covered by this blog (that awesome post about The Conjuring 3),  but for those not up-to-date on all the amazing articles I do, I guess I’ll just have to fill you in:
The story goes that whilst clearing out a house they just rented, David Johnson encountered an old man - who we now believe to be a demon - that began to slowly possess him.
David was only 12 years old, so, to protect him, Arne (his father) asked for the demon to possess him instead.
However, it was during an altercation with their landlord, Alan Bono, that the demon reportedly influenced Arne’s actions and assisted in his murder. In fact, it was Lorraine Warren that was the first to go to the police and make the initial claim that it was the demon that caused the murder.
The legal team roped in lawyers who had worked on similar cases abroad, and exorcism specialists were encouraged to speak up and defend Arne.
Their efforts did not prove successful, however, and Arne was handed a sentence of 20 years. He only served 5.

#5 - Booty vs. Barnaby
No, this isn’t the title of the next Cardi B album. Instead, it's another historic tale from my homeland.
Our story starts in 1687, when some bloke called Captain Barnaby is on holibobs in Stromboli. When he’s not busy shooting innocent animals, he’s watching his next door neighbour from London Town getting chased by a phantom into the mouth of an active volcano.
No, I’m serious.
The neighbour’s wife thought the story sounded ridiculous too, which is why she had him arrested for slander. But then 30 of his crew supported his claims, clearing his name, and leaving a rather peculiar tale clogging up our court records.
#6 - The Haunting Of Lowes Cottage, Derbyshire
For some reason, every person buying a house in the ‘90s was using the hottest new way to bag a bargain: just say it's haunted or somethin’!
And that’s exactly what happened in fair Derbyshire. The Smith family were keen to move into their new cosy ‘lil cottage, but the oozing walls, ghostly hands sexually assaulting family members, the pig faced boy and other strange occurrences were a cause for concern.
(Obviously.)
Having withheld payment for the property due to the events noted, they took the sellers to court, saying it should be reduced by £50,000. Even the vicar threw in his two cents, offering up the evidence which sounded a lot like a little house in a place called Amityville.
Ever heard of it?
The case was eventually thrown out of court by the judge.
#7 - Reed vs. King
Before the DeFeos were murdered, and before the Lutzes even made the mistake of telling their furniture movers to head to 112 Ocean Avenue, a court case regarding a haunted house first hit the legal scene.
Our story starts in Grass Valley. A family moved into a new home, but the estranged husband paid a visit one night, and murdered 5 of the family members and injured 2 others.
Many years passed, and the Reed family shacked up here. However, it was only when they were told of the true events that transpired that the new residents became concerned. Sure, no one mentioned a haunting per say, but they claimed that the house “retained an echo”.
Small bloody footprints, blood stains smeared on the walls - no, it's not the bathroom after I’ve emptied my Diva Cup - it’s what Reed began to see throughout the house.
Reed thus decided to sue the sellers of the house, claiming that they tried to conceal the murders to avoid a wowcher.com-esque deal. But, when the case went to court, Reed didn’t mention hide nor hare of potential ghosts - instead, the potential haunting was used against them to prove how ridiculous the claims were.
#8 - The Death Of Estefania Guitterez Lazaro
It’s been discussed, dissected, and even given a Netflix contract - the death of this Madrid teen in 1992 is  officially one of the most prominent cases of possession to date.
Tumblr media
Despite slipping under the radar, this tale is known not for its rather simple story, but because it was the first modern-day haunting that was verified by police reports.
The story goes that Estefania died following a session using a Ouija board with her friends in school. When interrupted by a teacher for trying to contact the dead, Estefania became possessed. A strange vapour began to enter her mouth and nose, and from there her seizures and hallucinations began.
After her death in hospital, the family claimed there was a variety of paranormal activity occurring throughout the family home. From the picture of Estefania catching fire of its own accord, to unexplained noises and a rather slimy, broken crucifix, the police had seen enough.
A report was filed citing the unexplained events and confirmed it was the paranormal.
#9 - The Exorcism Of Anneliese Michel
This is one of the most tragic tales I’ve ever had to write about.
Anneliese Michel’s story has been detailed on this blog many-a-time, and has received its fair share of attention in popular culture, including in the film The Exorcism Of Anneliese Michel.
But the main reason it’s been recognised as possibly the most famous case of possession is because it brought the paranormal firmly into the legal courts. Due to Michel’s extremely weak state at the time of her death - including weighing only 68 pounds at the time of her death - the priests that carried out the exorcisms were charged with negligent homicide.
However, it's not the fact that they were charged that puts the supernatural spin on this case.
To fight their corner, the priests used tapes that recorded Michel’s exorcism to bolster their claims of her possession and had her body exhumed.
Their mere 6 month stint in jail was down to the jury’s beliefs that they didn’t intend to harm her, nor neglect her. And the suspension of their time behind bars confirms that their case was backed up by their claims.
But let it not be mistaken: the jury weren’t convinced that Michel was in fact possessed - they were convinced that Michel’s belief in her possession could only be alleviated by the priests’ actions.
