Greek GeoGuessr goes sideways

So I have been obsessing over GeoGuessr lately. After a few surreal experiences around the world like being forever trapped in a water park in India or stupidly choosing to take the northern route in a Swedish forest and as a result I almost reached the Arctic without a sign of life - I literally saw the vegetation change (but also including some Greek-related ones like in a Serbian city where the game dropped me first thing in front of a Greek Tourism office and then there was some Greek graffiti in another part of town for some reason and I was convinced I was in some strange Greek place until 10 minutes later I remembered Greek is not written in Cyrillic so this felt like an AU where Greece is a Slavic country PLUS me bumbing onto a theater playing Zorba the Greek in Santiago, Chile ^_^) ANYWAY I decided to play Greece for fun and potential material for the blog and BOY

Classic mode has five rounds so first round ever in Greece, GeoGuessr dropped me in

a godforsaken muddy graveyard. Nice. There was a grim village nearby and as I was getting out of it I found a sign with its name:

ΜΑΥΡΟΓΕΙΑ. Meaning BLACKEARTH. Yeah, no kidding. What a happy start.

Second, third and fourth rounds were relatively normal. 

Now fifth round dropped me there.

Finally! A pretty place! I decided to go towards the mountains.

A nice way to forget GeoGuessr dropped you in a dirt road and you’re not guessing the place anytime soon. It felt like I was walking for hours trying to get close to that bloody mountain or any sign of life. After a long time and many turns through small paths I find myself in a main road.

Pretty aesthetic. But these mountains are still far away. Like, do you see the difference with the previous image? Do you get how much I have travelled? In this picture I am literally in the horizon of the previous picture. 

Ahhh how beautifully the sunbeams fall on the sign AND DON’T LET ME READ WHERE THE FUCK I AM.

You mean that I’ve spent an hour in this bloody game wandering in Kolofoni (which means glorious peak ROFL but it also sounds like “Butt-voice”) and trying to find Bouboukas (cringy masculine floral dimunitive)??? That’s it, I’m not playing Greece ever again. 

P.S but Bouboukas is a cutie pie of only 24 inhabitants. Let’s give some love to lil’ Bouboukas.

PS 2: I still don’t know what these mountains are called. Didn’t get any closer and I probably don’t want to anymore. This was by far my longest round all over the world, beating the two trappings in Indian theme parks (yeah, there were two of those for some reason), beating almost reaching the North pole from a Swedish forest, beating another massive nothingness in Texas and an endless wandering in St. Petersburg, Russia where I couldn’t understand any of the road signs and labels. Unbelievable.

 I love this game though - I only barely keep myself from making posts about random international GeoGuessr adventures - can you tell? XD

  ➥  in a word, fantastic. i’m not sure how many of you know, but yandere is my guilty pleasure and it’s not that often that I come across it being actually well written and portrayed. This is one of the few fics for the genre that I’ve read and deeply enjoyed. But aside from that, I love the way this world is brought further to life with each and every installation, I adore the fantastical nature, the little tidbits and factoids revealed to me one by one-- it has me thirsting for more! This is a read I easily got immersed in, and it’s not yet complete but I’m looking forward to more adventures in magic, mystery, fantasy... god I’m ready.

Part of why I love well-written fics of this genre is the inner workings, the finer details and each little turn of the cogs that makes the clock tick. I absolutely love that in this fic that is incorporated so seamlessly. From the beginning, there is tension and there are stress conditions-- and while they maintain and level out, with each introduction of the boys (without reader knowing they’re the princes, which is a dynamic i die for btw) and further build of their relationship, along with the glimpes of their background and the environmental factors that are probably going to lead to one or all of them Snapping... it all blends together in a magnificent mass of tension, and for each update that comes I’m on the edge of my seat. I don’t think there has been one in a while, but this is the kind of fic that I’d drop whatever I was doing to read!

jungkook x reader | hunger games au, yandere au | series

➥  another yandere story, another insight into my guilty pleasure. again, i don’t often rb or rec many yandere fics simply bc its not often i find one that really pins it and I love enough to rb-- but luna never fails to provide, and I’ve found myself enjoying a number of her stories, most recently this one!

Usually, what I look for and enjoy reading about is the slow build, the climb and increase in yandere behaviour as they grow more comfortable/more obsessed with the character. Even so, this fic dumps it all on its head and I find myself loving it nonetheless. It’s the setting, the unique conditions that allow the yandere features to come out immediately and unabashedly-- and watching the integration of it all, how every aspect of oc’s situation is working together, is fascinating,, and putting yourself into oc’s shoes is terrifying. Luna puts a lot of effort into her fics and each installment she publishes is long and carefully put together,, and that’s something I really appreciate. I love a lot of her works, and this one in particular, because there is always just such attention to detail, such immersion around it all that draws me in and hooks me. I’ve seen her musing about where to take this on her blog and to be honest I’m really excited to see wherever it goes!

➥  this is one i read a little further back, but one I definitely am still hooked on! What I really love about this one is just.... the mystery of it all. I’m a sucker for dark fantasy and urban fantasy and this bad boy rolls it all into one. Each installment reveals a little more and yet,,, not enough to fully satiate your hunger for knowledge. there are a lot of conditions, restrictions, barriers for the reader-- the push and pull of her innate desire to go to them vs. the constraints of her life and her thoughts is delicious. I remember in particular that each little interaction with each member made my tummy dip, they were so cute and so... thrilling? These two have a real talent and it shows through with fics like this one. I’m not sure when the next installment is, but I’m definitely waiting for it with baited breath!!

➥ i read this as soon as it was posted and honestly.... I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. there’s something about it that just carves out a piece of you and replaces it with a piece of itself. It’s so memorable!! I love it dudes. The whole tone and vibe of the fic from the beginning, the chase and the combination of thrill and fear,,, and Taehyung.... I love the way that the story was set, the premises and tone, and I love how it was maintained all throughout-- what I abolutely love the most about it is that it allowed for that fucking FANTASTIC twist of an ending!! This story, to me, had OOMPH, and I love that man. I’m going to revisit it sometime soon and I definitely recommend checking it out yourselves. I wish I had read it more recently so I could gush more readily, but definitely check it out for yourselves and send some love!!

➥ this is one that i’ve been reading consistently, and have been hooked on from the beginning. from the very first chapter the premise is so heartbreaking, and i was able to really align with the oc and what she was feeling, how her world had been turned so upside down. and then, seeing throughout the following chapters as the members slip into her life & home one by one, healing the pieces of her bit by bit... ugh i might have wept. it’s so soulfully sweet and lovely, this fic, and the spots of angst really just serve to make it sweeter. I love a fic that makes me soft and fuzzy while still having some hot as fuck smut, and this definitely serves that. plus hybrid au! already pinpointing several of my weaknesses. i definitely recommend checkig this out because it quickly became a favourite of mine :)

➥ this is another kind of recent one that I’ve been enjoying over the past few months, and can i just say it’s got a firm hold of my heart and my future puth. If you’d read florescence u know i have a budding weakness for shy boys, blushy boys, and GOD when she introduced each of the boys it had me cooing--- ESPECIALLY jimin. i cant wait for things to bud and bloom and develop, the little hints of nice things the reader is going to do-- ahhh i can’t wait until jimin gets glassses!!! and sees oc all the time!!! and blushes more!!! aaah!!!

It’s just so very sweet mixed in with the little tidbits and aspects of their past which, are sad and angsty but mfkgjdg u know.... u know that hurt/comfort shit hurts so good. I’m really super excited to see where it goes and how their relationship and dynamics develop in the coming parts!

➥ I remember reading this when the first part came out ages ago and immediately being hooked, because I saw the prompt by hybridfanfiction that it was based off and love it. And straight away it was so sweet and cute and wholesome, and as we’re quickly discovering I’m an absolute slut for shy boys!! It was standalone for a while, but let me tell u when i saw there was a second part out i screamed and dropped everything to read it-- and!!! it’s so good!! she’s starting to implement the plot now and she’s making us WORK for that sweet validation, work thru the angst on the near horizon, and i appreciate that. it took such a turn that i really wasn’t expecting it but I love how the dynamic between them and the relationship has budded and begun so far.

➥ this is another fic that I’ve been reading for a long while, and from the very beginning I loved the fire of the reader, the spunk and how she wasn’t afraid to go up and confront one of the biggest names on campus. and then reading further and observing the change, the transition in their dynamic. when she found out, vs where she is now. I really love the way she had the reader change and grow, and that seems to be a very big theme in this fic that I really admire! The reader consistently looks to herself for ways to grow and change, and do the boys. The story is so rich and in depth with their history and backstory, all the dynamics and the goods and bads of their past and how it affects them i the current day. I definitely recommend it for an investment and a good time.

➥ twisted tails is one that I found recently, and although there’s only one part out that I’ve seen, I really love where it seems to be going so far! it’s an interesting spin on the au that I haven’t seen very often, but god... I’m really excited to see how she’s going to spin it and how it’s going to play out. how the grief they must be feeling over oc’s sisters death is going to work with everything else happening, how they’re going to interact and feel about her.... I’m keen to discover how it will all blend together.

And thunderlight... can I just say, I love love love this one! I found it through twisted tails and !!! i love it!!! it’s so rich from the very get go with plot and narrative exposition, the way everything is being set up so smoothly. I’m absolutely hooked, I want to know who this demon is, and whether it’s going to have the gratifying happy ending that I crave so badly... god I love it, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next installment!

annual video game retrospective time~!!

Following the trend of the last couple of years, I bought only a small amount of new games this year and instead focused on clearing out older games from my backlog. Specifically, I decided to beat every game in my backlog that was released pre-2000. Thanks to this self-imposed challenge, I got to experience some true classics like Kirby’s Adventure and the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the first time.

I beat a total of 38 games in 2020! This is a smaller number than previous years, but I’m satisfied with it. There were a handful of time sink games I played that sucked up time I could have used for more, shorter titles, but these long games were soothing in this year of stress. (More on that later.) I’m also proud not to have added very many new games to my list this year, not counting things I got for free or as gifts.

Here’s what I spent money on this year:

the Atelier Arland trilogy and the Atelier Dusk trilogy (finished 4/6 of these so far). These games individually have their ups and downs but as a series I can’t get enough of them. They have such a solid, addicting core gameplay loop that I am happy to fall into every time, and their lighthearted tones were great for this hell year.

Pikuniku (actually, I was able to grab this one using gold points on the Switch, the equivalent of about a dollar). A cute game about kicking capitalists into orbit. What’s not to love?

SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Dig 2. It was about time I played more SteamWorld games after how much I loved Heist. This series just oozes charm.

That’s it!! A couple other games I played this year were new but either received as gifts or bought by my bf for both of us, but I refrained from immediately purchasing exciting new releases like The Last of Us Part II and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Now, let’s talk about some more highlights from this year.

I got the Collection of Mana for Christmas 2019 and played through it in January. Final Fantasy Adventure was surprisingly solid for 1991, Secret of Mana was fun enough but by far the worst of the trilogy despite its popularity, and Trials of Mana was beautiful on every level. None of them are quite on par with Legend of Mana, but nothing is tbh, and it was a lot of fun to see more of the series finally.

Horizon Zero Dawn was great and surprisingly anti-capitalist. Prey: Mooncrash was a really inventive new take on a game I already loved. Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy was a good game to sink 100 hours into when the pandemic hit and I didn’t feel up to anything too deep. Pyre was an absolute masterpiece and my favourite of Supergiant’s games so far. Heaven Will Be Mine was a love letter to Gundam that felt made just for me.

Resident Evil. Specifically, the 2015 remaster of the 2002 remake of Resident Evil. Oh boy, this game. What a masterclass of survival horror. The first playthrough as Jill was so tense and spooky, and the second playthrough as Chris was a completely different experience, despite being mostly the same game, simply because knowing more of the layout of the mansion changes so much. I was so thrilled with this game that I jumped right into Resident Evil 0... but didn’t get very far. RE0 is superficially similar to RE but fails to understand what makes the latter so great. It’s a shame the franchise is so messy because I truly have no idea whether or not I should be trying, say, the RE2 remake, even though RE was probably the best game I played this year.

Shout out also to the games I played a lot of but didn’t beat. This of course includes the endless Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which I used as creative fuel to write over 100 poems in-game! I also played a ton of SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays. This is a huge game that will take me a while longer to finish, but I’m not in a rush. I’ve actually been using this game to exercise, doing jumping jacks and sit-ups during the game’s long attack animations.

As an added note, the PS5 came out this year and, shock! I did not get one. Yet. More and more I find frustration with our cultural obsession with newness, and not just in video games. It is good praxis, IMO, to insist that the newest thing is not the most valuable, and that something being new is not a good enough reason to acquire it. Sure enough, some of the best stuff I played this year was from over a decade ago. Good art does not expire, and the PS5′s best games will still be good when I get around to them, eventually.

And now I will go against everything I just said and beg you to please play my new game from this year. It’s free. Thank you.

PS. My plan for next year? Play every game in my backlog that released pre-2002! This should put me clear of the PS1 era. I may catch up to the present yet!

Yugioh S4 Ep7: Mai Gets a Day Job (Killing People For Sport)

So, I looked at the calendar and realized, if  I don’t get this post up this week then you’ll only have one update from me for the whole of November since I’m leaving for over a week again. :/ So I’m just gonna get right to the good stuff because it has taken just a crazy amount of time to get to episode 7.  How great would it be if I also got to episode 8. Real great, right?

So lets do this, I can do this, I can write a recap without getting insanely distracted, watch me do it: This episode starts with Tristan sticking to the fatal flaw of his character sheet and seeing listed at the very top “low key toilet obsession.”

Ah Tristan.

And when you think “well, OK, they’re stuck by some historic Mesas, this is fine,” suddenly they are beset by the world’s most random biker gang of like 20 full grown adults/biker assassins.

And it’s not super clear if their driver died out there in the Arizona desert, or if he just put on a different outfit and joined this gang, but it won’t matter because like...it’s a filler arc in Yugioh so there’s gonna be some deaths.

This season seems to change genre like every 10 minutes, and so for right now we are in a Mad Max post-apocalyptic territory and PS every one of these bikers uses a lead pipe?

I feel like this is way more violent than a gun???

And so, out the horizon comes another biker, like a masked cowboy on horseback, except she shoots these things instead of bullets.

These are trained assassins, by the way, just completely incapacitated by paper.

I just love the marketing team working alongside of this show that’s like “and what else can Yugioh cards do? destroy biker gangs. That’s right, one single card will absolutely destroy a biker!” and the writing staff was like “yeah, we can work that in. That totally works in universe, you don't even know.”

It’s Mai! Back from murdering the hell out of Pegasus, I guess she decided to ninja these 20 bikers, and did it so devastatingly, that they somehow blew up a motorcycle next to a live fuel tank? Like we’re talking Oliver Queen precision throwing here and like...

...Mai’s only been gone like a year right???

And so, seeing that this card is a harpy, which I dunno...doesn’t seem like it’s all that rare in comparison to a Blue Eyes or a God Card or I dunno any of the other signature cards we’ve heard about, Joey immediately recognizes Mai. Despite the fact that everything she is doing right now is completely out of character, and despite the fact that they are in freakin California.

RIP to all 20 of the people in that gang of bikers, because no one followed this limo away from the scene--everyone was, I assume, hella dead.

Youknow, I never expected Mai to kill more people than Bakura. I would have predicted Joey before Mai. I would have predicted Rebecca before Mai. Literally anyone else on this show before Mai.

Seto, crawling out of this oversized castle that I guess...is back on the real estate market now...decides that the irresistible pull of dragons printed on paper cards is stronger than listening to his brother’s needs to put down the damn cards and make a contractually obligated theme park.

I mean Mokuba kept him off the cards for nearly a whole year. What a healthy year that was for Seto.

Back in Arizona, apparently they didn’t make it more than a mile before Tristan busted the car. Not really clear why or how this happened, but they’ve decided to argue with eachother about it despite the fact one of them is clearly magical and does not really need to eat or drink or even maybe sleep?

Like we’ve seen Bakura basically survive off of one plate of tacos and 2 pints of blood, so just make Pharaoh push the car all the way back to California. Or just make Pharaoh use his millennium AIM to call up His tomb keepers and be like “Marik, we need a lift.” or maybe summon a very real monster because that’s a thing now?

Course this would rely on Pharaoh remembering that he has superpowers, which, somehow after 4 seasons, he always forgets how to use the moment he uses them. It’s like reverse Sailor Moon--Usagi tends to level up her Super powers, Pharaoh kind of tosses them out of the window and goes “oops” and becomes more and more mortal every single season.

So instead of magic they will just use Tea.

Amazing how none of them are really willing to date Tea seriously but they will acknowledge, out of the four of them, Tea is the best looking. So their strategy, bear with me, wasn’t to use the fact they’re children to get help from adults driving by, instead, the boys hid behind a rock so they could really make sure they were getting a hella pervy truck driver that would only stop for a single teenage girl stuck in the desert.

Only this group of kids would be like “Hey lets make sure the guy who picks us up is statistically most likely to be a serial killer” and then, weirdly enough, this horndog pedo truck driver ended up being the only person who didn’t try to kill them this entire episode.

So, lets go back to SF but coming from the north side...which makes no sense...but then again, they put Mesas in Napa County.

So last episode I assumed Rex and Weevil were dropped off in Oakland, but Rex informs us this episode that they are in “the worst part of town”

Where they get robbed twice, only to be saved by Duke Devlin, who I guess just lives here now because maybe it’s the only place he can afford in this expensive as hell city? Maybe he isn’t bothered by the crime-rate after that week he spent on Kaiba’s blimp/Seaquest mmo adventure?

Anyway, for some reason Duke--who is a game shop owner/developer by day--is wandering around the Tenderloin as a vigilante and saving people by throwing dice at them as some sort of side hustle and this is never discussed at all.

I would watch that spinoff series. Religiously.

Fun fact, there is definitely sketchy and bad parts of the Tenderloin you will know not to go to (you can smell it actually), but like a third of it is part of the best shopping district in the city and we used to just shop there unsupervised when I was a kid. It has an Anthropologie.

Not saying the parts that are bad aren’t bad. Whenever I drive through the non-shopping parts, I see at least one super sketch thing making me thankful I’m in the car. But I just don't know how Rex and Weevil managed to get robbed twice in one day. Just go five blocks in literally any direction.

Bro and I were like...HOW did this shot happened from this angle on the freeway...and then I only just now realized it. Something I forgot about because it’s from my parent’s generation...maybe the animators weren’t aware that the Embarcadero fell down after Loma Prieta?

So this was the SF landscape before the quake of 89′ (Which I have no memory of since I was a baby when this happened)

and after 89.

Like maybe the animators they had on this team remembered an SF from their youth that had a huge iconic raised street wrapping all the way around one part of it and just...never got the memo that an Earthquake made the entire thing fall down?

Either way, Duke is either driving these two directly out of SF, or he is driving them into 1988 and is taking a lovely drive on the Old Embarcadero, an experience which does not exist anymore, and which makes a lot more sense since Duke has to be somewhat near downtown, going by the skyscrapers and the vicinity to the Tenderloin.

Man. In the Yugioh Universe, Loma Preita just never actually happened. How is that factoid alone not the weirdest part of this episode?

Welcome back to the show Duke, glad you’re bringing...Rex and Weevil...

To be fair, Duke has absolutely no idea who is and isn’t Yugi’s friends. Duke just kind of shows up and pretends like he’s part of the gang, and the gang has lost so much brain matter from all the cards and all the dark magic, they just assume he’s been here the whole time.

So at first I was like “this has to be a pun on Industrial Light and Magic” since there’s virtually no other film studios in the city--but ILM moved to SF 3-4 years after this season came out. So it’s just a weird coincidence, I guess. Or maybe it’s just a really uninspired name?

And so Mai, who I guess has been just waiting on this ledge for 8 hours decides to drop in.

Mai has evolved a lot since S1.

But, although Mai is just...straight up evil now, at least we get to see it taken out on Pegasus who, as far as this show is concerned, is a pretty evil bastard.

A pretty evil bastard who took like 3-4 episodes to beat in S1 but Mai could just do it off-screen.

It’s just funny that the entire time on the island Pegasus was probably pretty sure everyone there was trying to kill him EXCEPT for Mai and then the moment his back is turned he’s like “oh whaaaat?”

Like Bandit Keith is already in America. But rather than use Bandit Keith for this, lets use Mai to give Joey something to angst about. We can’t put her in a coma again--so lets instead get her vaguely possessed. Although seriously, if someone I liked did this to me I think I’d be over that crush really fast.

And then, speaking of Bandit Keith, we get to have a Greek Chorus this duel from the minibosses. Valon and the other guy with the handlebar-muttonchops.

I looked up “where does Valon’s accent come from” and literally there is no consensus, as far as I know.

And that’s where this episode ends.

Now I’m gonna go out of town for a week and then will need another week to make more of these so I’ll be on another hiatus. Holding out if I’ll maybe bring a laptop or something to where I’m going so I can type out recaps when I’m bored.

The problem is having the uhhhhh photoshop to do the caps. I can’t bear to do this in MS Paint because hell will freeze over before I lose all of my actions and hotkeys I made specifically to reduce the time it takes to make these. But we shall see.

5 things I’m currently into: 1: Horizon Zero Dawn - it is a little upsetting how addictive I have found this game to be BUT IT IS EVERYTHING I WANTED. 2: Infiltrating the Obi/Shirayuki fandom because from what I have seen YOU GUYS ARE A DELIGHT - and, real story: I have loved this manga for years but never got involved in fic, for some reason. I have YEARS of feels to deal with. Having people to share that with is AWESOME. 3: Avoiding actual work. That shit is for winners, aka NOT ME. 4: I cosplayed recently for the first time in a decade, so I’m still a little obsessed. I wound up with three wigs for this one cosplay and I’ve been wearing the really shitty one around the house just for fun. Being a blonde is NOT A THING I AM USED TO. 5: Capslocking, apparently. (Let’s be real, I have always been into that.)

5 things I’ve always wanted to do: 1: Move to New York - which I have done, so now it’s: Move BACK to New York! 2: Become a Potions Master. Ask my boyfriend - every couple of months this topic comes back up; I say - In the real world they’re called chemists, but somehow it just doesn’t seem the same! 3: Make my own rpg - which I have done, technically, and now I am slowly (oh god so slowly) working to finish it and make it awesome. 4: TRIUMPH OVER EVIL. Or at least, triumph over my own laziness. Still working on that one. 5: Finish writing some fucking novels already.

5 things that make me happy: 1: My Goose! 2: Boyfriend presence, it is the cure for what ails me! 3: Accomplishing goals, even the boring ones on my to-do list that say things like DAMN IT TAKE A SHOWER ALREADY. 4: Being antisocial - no joke it is so relaxing. 5: My first cup of coffee, which is the only one I allow myself to drink how I like (2 heaping spoonfuls of sugar, no creamer - all the others are 1 level spoonful of sugar and a dash of almond milk creamer and damn it but it tastes like ass.)

Something that you read/wrote fanfiction for? Something that inspired you to create other types of fanworks (art, fanvideos, edits etc.)?

Was it the same fandom that made you join Tumblr in the first place? If not, what made you join Tumblr?

My fandom history under the cut (in case anyone cares):

2004 (age 16) - anime & j-rock. Mostly Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gravitation, band!fics. Angelfire/Geocities - lemons & limes.

2006-2009 - Livejournal & Adultfanfiction. Mostly j-rock. I started writing and publishing my own fanfiction in the communities.

2009-2011 - Due to heavy depression, I didn’t actively participate in any fandoms. I read and wrote some fanfiction for KieferLou, Jin/Hwoarang (Tekken) and the 90′s band, Savage Garden (I was in love with their music). I only published a series of short drabbles for KieferLou on LJ, but nothing else. I didn’t interact with other fans.

2010 - I joined Tumblr for the first time. Not for fandoms but to host some pictures and videos. I didn’t actively use it though because I was too lazy to learn how the things around here actually worked.

2012 - My two best friends made me join Tumblr again. I think my first big fandom here was the first Avengers movie. Naturally, I reblogged a shitloads of Loki. And participated in the j-rock fandom again, largely around late 2012 and most of the 2013. I learned to make my first shitty fandom gifs ever (yay), but not with PS, even though I had used it since 2007 (maybe). And I learned to rip DVDs too, which turned out be a very vital skill for my later gif making purposes.

Late 2013 I created this blog for a fresh start. I posted my first Kristoffer Joner (Norwegian actor) gifs. His “fandom” was basically me and maybe 5 others lol.

2014 - The Hobbit craze. I read a lot of Durincest (sue me). Discovered my first ABO & soulmate fics (my previous fandom had been very “lacking” in those themes). I began to obsess over Dean O’Gorman (the amount of notes/reblogs only crossed by Billy Hargrove since last year lmao), and I had to seek out everything he’s in. Which meant the show Young Hercules + a lot of NZ & Aussie shows and movies. I discovered AHS too.

2015. Was overall a very terrible year for me, for many reasons. I was heavily depressed again and took a break from all my Tumblr blogs, not posting anything for several months. Apart from the first few months, which is when I mostly made gifs for the 90′s Renaissance Pictures shows and read some Greek mythology fanfiction (lmao), I didn’t really participate in any fandom activities.

2016-2020 - I bought PS4 in Feb 2016 and the Last of Us along with it and got into the gaming fandom. Discovered there’s a lot of gif makers in the gaming community too. I posted plenty of gif sets for TLOU, Uncharted 4, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Horizon Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 3 remake etc. I also followed quite a few gaming youtubers.

2017-2018 - I got into Fear the Walking Dead and The 100. Posted a lot of stuff for them too, especially for FTWD.

2020 - I finally watched Stranger Things S3, after a two year break from the show. I strongly felt for Billy - and here I am. And I gotta say, Harringrove fandom has probably been the biggest fandom I’ve ever been in (apart from gaming comm. where I hardly interacted with anyone). Also the least toxic & close-knit fandom I’ve ever been part of. I feel like I know you all by now and yet there’s so many of you. So thank you. ♥
