Second part of the Okochi Sanso Villa pics and Arashiyama after that. I went to have lunch after the hard work. There was a vegan place owned by an overzealous ojisan who kept talking to me all along the meal >< The reviews of the place did mention that, but I thought once he knew I was no tourist he would leave me alone, but no. Tourists might like the experience, but for me he was way too pushy. And of course I learned that everything in this world started in Kyoto, what’s more, Arashiyama ^^; He also lead me to the Horin-ji temple behind the place and I visited it after lunch. It’s a rare free temple, and it has a view on the town - unfortunately my battery died, so not many pics from there.

Many temples have elaborate wells and fountains for worshippers to wash their  hands and rinse their mouths before entering. This one at Horin-ji Temple is humble as it is ancient.
