In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro Max features a revolutionary design that offers the best of both worlds. The jet-black casing is slim, elegant, and strong while the gold marble effect frame makes it look just as good at the office or dinner table as it does on the go. You can choose from white, gold, or silver cases to match your Apple Watch or stand out from the crowd by choosing one in your favourite colour.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max sizes come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities. The iPhone 14 Pro models also support 5G connectivity (sub-6 GHz and mmWave in the United States), and they use a new Qualcomm X65 modem. In the United States, iPhone models ship without a physical SIM card as carriers now use eSIM.
As the iPhone 13 Pro has been great, so is the 14 Pro Max. The iPhone lets you easily get a selfie using your telephoto lens and face detection. To make sure that you don't miss any detail while taking photos or videos, the True Depth Camera System with the A16 Bionic chip makes sure everything is clear and precise.

Singapore & Hong Kong Mayer Review
I’ve had a few days to process the Singapore and Hong Kong shows. I decided to not watch any videos from the New Zealand & Australia shows, I’d look at the set list and a few photos, but that was it. I also didn’t really watch many clips from the rehearsals.
I knew going to countries he’s never visited would mean I’d hear a lot of “Continuum” and “Free Fallin’.” I also held out hope that a surprise might pop up. I was okay with it. I’ve heard these songs live numerous times; they’ve only listened to the albums. I also knew they’d appreciate the music more, they’d be like Brazil, and they’d be all about the music. I was right. I loved watching everyone’s facial expressions and reactions when he’d play “I Don’t Trust Myself (With Loving You)” or “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room.”
In Singapore he opened with “Helpless” a song he didn’t even play in Hong Kong. It reminded me of the 2017 tour and I was giddy.  “New Light” got the crowd dancing and grooving. I loved DRH’s solo vocals in “I Don’t Trust Myself (With Loving You)” and Singapore did too. “Something Like Olivia” was a little surprise for me as I wouldn’t have guessed it. The next song had a welcoming loud reaction that surprised me, “Paper Doll.” I know from the Current Mood in Australia he said that song didn’t get the love it deserved and he was bringing it back out again. I know for the American fans that song wasn’t well received to begin with, not one of my faves, but that response in Singapore, I was like “okay, let’s give this one another shot.”
Mayer & Company have some new members to the group, Aaron Draper, oh my gosh, where have you been all of our lives? You’re breathing fresh air into these songs and I’m trying to remember what they even sounded like before you came along. Welcome! Keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac, welcome as well! I’ll get to more about you in Hong Kong.
The opening chords to “No Such Thing” got to me and the crowd went wild. I started crying. This song was the beginning for him and the beginning of going down the John Mayer Rabbit Hole for me so it hit a spot to hear that song in a foreign country. “Changing” got the crowd lighting up the room with their cell phones. It was pretty amazing to see that b/c that’s not really the type of song that happens on, but it was something special and John thanked the crowd for that.
And then it happened I had no idea what song he was going into, it was an edgy rock sound and I was thinking “What song is this?” It had to be like a “Guns-N-Roses” cover or something as this song just wasn’t coming to me and it was freakin’ “Heartbreak Warfare!” You know how many times I’ve heard that song and I couldn’t even tell what it was. I liked how he started the song with the intro b/c to me he disguised it very well.
The acoustic set was next,  John started talking about songs and how this one is a favorite of Bob Saget’s and his tour manager Ken’s and he says he thinks he’s played it live before, but wasn’t sure, John, you’ve only played it on Instagram, and with that he launched into “Badge & Gun” and I flipped out. I was shaking; I had to brace myself on the poor girl standing next to me b/c I was in shock.  I was finally hearing “Badge & Gun” live. I have my dream set list and that song is in the acoustic set. Thank you Bob Saget for loving that song and thank you John for playing it in Singapore. “Wonderland” and “Free Fallin’” were next and I didn’t even care. Singapore, you sounded so beautiful singing “Free Fallin’” I had to record it b/c it took my breath away.
The band joined John and they launched into “Blues Run the Game” into “Queen of California.” Isiah had a beautiful solo during that one and “I Guess I Just Feel Like.” John thanked Singapore for sending him messages on Instagram to come there and that management didn’t know if he’d be able to sell tickets but he sold the place out and even merch sold out, I had to buy an XL Singapore tour shirt b/c I had to have one, even though I won’t wear it, it’ll go in my collection. I collect JM merch like he collects Visvim. “Age of Worry” is one of my favorite songs and I loved hearing it. DRH’s vocals on Prince’s “The Beautiful Ones” into “Slow Dancing” got the crowd roaring. “Edge of Desire” and “Gravity” closed out the show.
Apologizes as my hand writing is a mess and I couldn’t make out half of what I wrote. I feel like I’ve rambled on for too long and I’m just now getting to the Hong Kong show. My notes are a little more legible for that one.
“Heartbreak Warefare” opened the show and it shot me back to 2010. Loved hearing “Waiting on the Day” from the “Paradise Valley” record and DRH had a nice little guitar solo in that one as well. John told HK that he thought he had his top cities he liked to visit down, but that HK shot up to Top 5. “Vultures” got the crowd dancing.  “A dream is a lie your head tells your heart,” John said as he and the band launched into “Dreaming with a Broken Heart” a song I haven’t heard in full since 2007. Isiah had a nice little solo in “Waiting on the World to Change.”
When John came back out for the acoustic set he played “Emoji of a Wave” from 2017’s “The Search for Everything.” The crowd started shouting out “Neon.” I mean it was a consensus that HK wanted to hear that song so John jokes that he’d play it but we’d never know what song he was going to play and says “It was Covered in Rain” and the crowd immediately went “Aww.” He says no it wasn’t that, but now he felt obligated to play it so he launched into an acoustic “Covered in Rain” before playing “Neon.” If you want to know the song he was actually going to play was “Wonderland.” DRH came out for the two to sing “Free Fallin” and HK you sang it so beautiful, but I enjoyed your singing more on “Stop this Train.” The band came back out for that one and Jamie had a nice beautiful solo on the keys and HK sang it with such love. Isiah and DRH tore it up on “Still Feel Like Your Man.” “Why Georgia” got me all emotional like NST did in Singapore except I was more of a crying mess this go around.
After “Rosie” John talked about how the guy in the song is an idiot b/c he learns Spanish, but doesn’t learn the Spanish word for “and” and just says “Perdon and lo siento” and then says he should have told the story before he sang the song instead of after and joked “Stop This Train is about..” before launching into “Slow Dancing.”
“When I’m old and gray in a rocking chair looking at water somewhere, I’ll think about how 20 years into my career I played a sold out show in Hong Kong,” John said before launching into “Dear Marie.” At the end of the song when John and Co. walked off stage the crowd held up their cell phones and sang “Ohh, ohhh.” and when they came back for the encore John sang “Ohh, ohhh.” They played “Roll It On Home” which was another first for me b/c I hadn’t heard that one live yet. “Gravity” closed out the show with Carlos and Tiffany shining on “Dreams to Remember.” They’re a fun bunch to watch during the show singing and dancing.
Out of the two shows and the 49 songs he played between those two nights, only 13 songs were repeats. Thank you Singapore & Hong Kong for your hospitality and for your love of John’s music. Many thanks to the crew, band and John! I’ll see you kids with the Dead later this summer and then back on the solo Mayer train!
Peace & Love,
Karri~

2019.02.23 Hyun Joong New Way Concert @ Busan
Updated My Special 501 Dates
Kind of late writing this but here goes! This is the first time I watched a concert in Korea so there’s so much I want to talk about! So once again I’m going to split this Fan Account in sections.
Prologue
To be honest I really never pictured myself watching a concert in Korea. The thought of watching a concert there just felt so distant. Even last year when I went to Macau for his concert it felt like something very far away. Furthermore I don’t understand Korean so I really didn’t think I would be able to get tickets nor did I want to get it through those resellers and let them earn big bucks for doing nothing. So the idea just really didn’t come to mind until one day I just got bored and decided to take a look at the ticketing. I must say how thankful I am that Interpark has an English site that is pretty user friendly. I was quite surprised to see that there were quite a lot of seats left and a little sad to be honest. But in a way it’s kind of good because I managed to get pretty good seats as you can see below in orange.
Tumblr media
Although this time I wasn’t as close as the one in Macau, it felt much better because I was in the center and i could view the whole stage at all times! It was absolutely amazing. So another concern about watching it in a foreign country is a didn’t really want to travel alone. A main issue I thought was going to be ordering food alone at restaurants, it just seems sad. I asked a lot of people to go with me but no one was interested until I asked my aunt and she was totally on board haha. So off I went to book my flight hotel and of course the concert tickets. To be honest if I couldn’t find anyone to go with me I was already prepared to go alone because I really think chances are rare and I should treasure these chances and go watch whilst I’m still young.
Oh and one more thing is it’s so cheap watching it in Korea, all the seats have the same price, I paid for my aunt’s ticket as well and both tickets together is equivalent to one ticket in HK (the expensive category). On top of that our seats were great so it was totally worth it!
Just Before The Concert
Again this time I found out on Weibo that there was going to be a handshake event again!! I was so shocked because this didn’t happen in the Seoul concerts earlier this month so I was super happy and excited.
On the day we went to venue KBS Busan Hall and collected our tickets there, it was much quicker than I expected and the logistics was pretty good. We queued up based on the last name of the booking name and quickly collected the tickets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I noticed the people around me were speaking in Cantonese so I asked the person in front of me if she was also from Hong Kong. Turns out a bunch of Hong Kong fans came together to support Hyun Joong. I was actually quite surprised by the amount of HK fans that came. There were at least 20 fans from HK! It was quite nice to meet people from home in a foreign concert.
A very interesting thing I noticed is that around 70% of the people there were from overseas, mainly from Japan! Only about 30% were from Korea. 95% of the fans were middle age in their 40s to 50s hahaha. My aunt and I were probably close to the youngest ones hahhaha. My aunt kept saying how she felt like she was very young compared to the rest and clearly I also felt the same ^^
A special thing about watching concert in Korea is all the rice wreaths. This is a very Korean thing where fans raise money to donate rice wreaths and the rice will be donated to people that need it. It’s a great way to show your love for your idol and also do something good for the community. I’ve seen these in pictures but it’s the first time seeing it in person and I really like it! There was a whole bunch of these, mainly from Japanese fans and some from Hong Kong fan groups!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Compared to the shows in Hong Kong and Macau there weren’t a lot of freebies. No one was giving out banners, I was actually pretty surprised. Turns out when we went inside the hall there were some staff waiting to give out these banners that say “love you very much” in Busan dialect. We raised these up when he sang Love Song (I really like this song from his new album!!
Tumblr media
The Concert
Quick summary of the concert, he sang a total of 28 songs, 6 more than the Seoul concert! Of which there were a few Busan special songs!
He started the concert with New Way, i managed to sneak one pretty bad photo but I couldn’t take any more cause the security was very strict :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone stood up immediately! We actually stayed standing up for one and a half hours until Hyun Joong told us to sit down before Haze lol.
Anyway he sang most of his new songs and the backdrop (?) the video that played in the background was really pretty. It was mainly scenry but it fit in very well with New Way, Why, Misery etc.
Hyun joong mentioned that Busan stage would be a little different, suddenly the band was playing an interesting arrangement and then oh my god they played LET ME BE THE ONE!!! I WAS SO SHOCKED. Hyun Joong said this was a Busan special, he re-arranged SS501′s Let me be the one and it was just amazing. Everyone screamed like crazy, all the feels my god! I actually thought that was the only surprise stage until he sang Love Like This later in the concert. I must say he really improved his singing a lot, I think partly is cause he didn’t dance so he has more focus on his singing. He used to find it difficult to reach the high notes in Love Like This but he seemed to reach it with ease this time. Another thing is you can actually hear Saengie’s voice in the Love Like This backing!!! All my group feels my god!
The concert actually seemed pretty long, it was 3 full hours. He didn’t change clothes at all and really committed to singing as many songs as he could. When he sang Lucky Guy the Japanese fans actually followed him and danced, it was so cute looking at some old ladies dance hahaha. They have more energy than a 23 year old (me). LOL
When he sang Lucky Guy for the second time during encore he walked down towards the fans and he was so crazy close to me!!! I mean super close!!!! I managed to take a very short video and here are two screenshots from the video.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was quite funny during encore because he was just going to sing three songs (ASTRAEA, Lucky Guy, Moonlight) but we kept chanting so he sang So What and said ti’s the last song. But we wanted more. Eventually he sang Kiss Kiss again!!!! I actually can’t decided if Kiss Kiss or Please is my favourite song but Kiss Kiss is just sooooo sweet. And this time it was really cute because he made us repeat the kiss kiss part so many times. It sounded super duper cute though, we all did a great job in my opinion. It was so cute!!!!  Handshake
After the concert there was the handshake event. He stood near the door and we queued up one by one and shook his hand as we left. This is the THIRD time i shook his hand and I really want t o say his hand is still ever as soft as before. I’m really lucky cause all three concerts i’ve been I was able to shake his hands. I hope in the future I’ll still have this luck <3 I still really appreciate his dedication in shaking every fan’s hand, got to love him so much <3
Post Concert Feels
I’m really really really really glad I took the step to fly over for this concert. It was worth everything! I had a great break from work as well and traveled around Busan with my aunt and had a great time. My aunt wasn’t actually a fan of Hyun Joong but because we were going to watch his concert she actually ‘prepared’ and listened to his songs. The funny thing is now she’s addicted to his songs hahaha.
I think watching a concert in Korea feels really different. The people feel different. In Hong Kong or in Macau there’s a lot of Mainland Chinese and although I’m Chinese myself, I cannot associate well with the older generation of Mainland Chinese people. They tend to be ill mannered and pushy. This time everyone was very disciplined. Hyun Joong jumped off stage a couple of times and walked through the crowd but the fans just stayed at their respective positions and cheered. If this happened in Hong Kong or Macau, fans would jump at him and it wouldn’t have been possible for him to walk arouond. I really appreciate how Japanese fans are so polite and well mannered. Absolutely loved it!
Hyun Joong said he wants to have a concert in Seoul, Busan, and Jeju evvery year. I really think I”m going to go watch every year. I hope this becomes a tradition and I can grow old together with him.
A key feeling i felt this time was he aged quite a bit, maybe cause he got fatter. But it’s also kinda cute cause it makes him more human and seem just like us. Again I’m so grateful to have him in part of my llife <3 Can’t wait for a SS501 comeback, feels like it’s not too far!!

I did a really long thing (sorry)
Thank you so much for tagging me in this @hklunethewriter! I love the idea and had so much fun reading your answers. Also, I’m brand new to tumblr and only four people out of the 400 I followed have followed me back, so a huge shout out to you guys - and to @hklunethewriter for being kind enough to tag me! Standing nervously in front of the microphone, I can almost hear one of you clapping at the back of the room.
So, this seems relatively simple, but knowing me I’ll still do it wrong so I’m sorry in advance if I answer the wrong questions. I don’t have 11 followers, so I’m going to tag the four I have, and then just other blogs that I think look interesting. Feel free to totally ignore me and go about your day.
Note: I hope you’ve got plenty of syrup because this is 100% WAFFLE. I write like I talk, and I talk a lot, so this ended up being much longer than I intended. I’m sorry. I exhaust myself.
1. What’s your favourite writing spot?
For sure the snuggle chair in my living room (people think I made that name up, but I promise that’s what it’s called in the catalogue). My youngest kitty Cleo likes to sit by me, and walk across the keyboard when I’m trying to type, so that’s always a lot of fun. I consume several hot drinks in the glow of my laptop screen and my crappy ASDA lamp until my eyes start to close. Often I wake up there, and the cycle begins again.
2. Is there a song you only listen to when you’re writing?
Um, not really. Sometimes I’ll have an idea in my head for something I’m going to write and will make little playlists that inspire me. I’ll listen to them throughout the day, but I find it really hard to hear myself think if music is playing because I just sing to it instead.
3. What’s your stance on ambiguous endings?
I’m in two minds! Personally, I really like that certain endings are left open to interpretation. I like reading fan theories on the internet, and having the freedom to use my imagination to picture different scenarios, and the air of mystery that comes with saying ‘well, we’ll never know for sure.’ On the other side of the coin, though, if I’m really invested in a story (which happens a lot, because I’m seemingly unable to like things on a low-key level) then I much prefer the closure of a sure, solid ending.
4. Do you believe ‘Death of the Author’ holds up when, especially in our current time period, authors are likely to give and assign parts of themselves to their characters? Do such books exist anymore?
I personally see no harm at all in authors assigning elements of their lives, their personalities, or things that inspired the events they depict to their characters/writing. Though I’m not massively knowledgeable on the subject, as I stated earlier, I agree that interpretation by the reader is key and personally find that being given room to view things in my own way makes for a much more interesting read. I’m a big believer in showing my reader what I’m saying, rather than telling them what’s going on - and while I’m sure that there are books that have been written in mind of this notion, and are intentionally vague, I often find the backstory to the novels I read almost as interesting as the novel itself.
5. Is writing more of a stress relief or stress causer for you?
I often write for catharsis or enjoyment, so I’m leaning much more towards stress relief. I may, however, answer differently in 24 hours time when I’m frantically writing my assignment for university 12 hours before it’s due to be handed in. Organisation is the enemy, apparently.
6. Adverbs. Thoughts?
I like adverbs, generally speaking, but a pet peeve of mine is seeing them used too frequently! I think it’s Stephen King (could be totally wrong, do NOT quote me on that) who believes that an over-use of adverbs is indicative of timidity? I said earlier that, rather than telling my reader what’s going on, I prefer to show them - and as such, I am often (not always) of the belief that the writing leading up to the adverb should be of a high enough quality to nullify it. Each to their own, though, of course!
7. Has tumblr made you a more productive/”creative” writer, in your opinion?
Mostly yes, but a little bit no. Yes, because I see a lot on here that inspires me to write - whether it’s the work of other writers, a photograph of a beautiful sunset that moves me, a text post of some song lyrics I haven’t heard in FOREVER or a quote I can relate to - I find it all so inspiring. No, because I follow an inordinate amount of ‘cute cat’ pages and find them horribly and fantastically distracting.
8. Who in your life supports your writing the most?
100% my fabulous, brilliant, amazing Nana. I’ve been telling her stories since I was old enough to talk, and I’ll never for one moment forget her constant interest and encouragement. Like many, I’ve explored a wide range of potential interests and career paths in my 23 years; each time, the spark has crackled out, and I’ve given up early and moved onto something else. Understandably, most people in my life started to find it hard to believe in me - but she never did. I’d say “I’m gonna go to college and do this other cool thing I find mildly interesting” and she’d be like “well, ok, maybe this will be the one.” She tells me every time I see her that I could sweep the streets and she’d be proud of me, if it was what made me happy. Her support really is unconditional.
9. In what medium (books, movies, TV, video games, etc.) do you find the most inspiration?
Honestly, it changes all the time, but at the moment I’m finding a lot of my inspiration through music - particularly Taylor Swift, because she’s a lyrical GENIUS and I adore her. I’ll hear a lyric and start to build a whole scene in my head of what prompted her to write that, and it’s so much fun.
10. Lastly, do you have a link to published work that I, HK Lune, can see/reblog?
I don’t! I’ve written a few bits and pieces to the point of completion, but have never felt confident enough to share them online, and focus primarily on my university work nowadays. You can read my essays, if you’d like? :D
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ll start by tagging my faithful followers
@cheezbot @jkirs1 @long-live-beau @quilloftheclouds
Then I’ll tag the lovely person who tagged me
@hklunethewriter
And now I’ll tag some cool blogs.
@catsnmeows1 @turtleconservancy @taylorswift @catsthefun @hilariouscats @meow
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OH and even though nobody will answer them, I’m going to post questions so I don’t do the game wrong. They are as follows:
1. If you could meet one author for lunch, who would it be?
2. What are your thoughts on visual stories? (apps like Choices: Stories You Play, Episode, etc.)
3. What was the first book to make you cry?
4. Do you ever base your characters on people you know?
5. Name the worst book you’ve ever read, and tell me why it was bad.
6. Do you have a trademark writing ‘quirk’?
7. Do you have any (un)helpful pets? (I couldn’t resist asking this one. Also, if the answer is yes, please send me photos.)
8. What advice would you give to a person who is new to writing?
9. Tell me your ideal writing environment.
10. Sad endings: realistic, or unnecessary?
11. You’ve decided to write under a pseudonym. What is it?

[FAN ACCOUNT] 171124-25 New York Uaena that flew to Hong Kong to see IU (Palette in HK)
It was one of those crazy decisions and coming from a family that doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, it didn’t take me that long to decide to go. Flying 30 hours round trip to see IU? Why not?
11/24/17 – Friday (IU arrival + Press Conference at Windsor House)
Anyways, fast forward to arriving to Hong Kong airport, I was arriving the same day as IU. Except my flight arrives at 7am and hers at 12pm. I dropped off my luggage at my hotel and then went straight back to the airport afterwards.
When I arrived, there were about 30 fans waiting already. I knew I wasn’t waiting at the wrong place. Everyone had their cameras and gifts ready. I was ready… well or so I thought I was ready. A fan I know from Hong Kong told me to be careful because it is quite dangerous with having fans at the airport and a celebrity walking by (also considering what has happened before). Anyways, the LOEN security guy comes out to check the situation and then a while later, a bunch of Hong Kong airport security stands in the area to block off fans. And there, IU finally comes out. It was hectic trying to take pictures, with a bunch of fans all surrounding her, as well as about 50 fans and 20 people protecting IU. Finally, she got in the van that took her and everyone dispersed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I went back to my hotel to check in and it was about only 2pm when I decided to head back out to the venue thinking that it wasn’t going to be that bad. I arrived just before 3pm and there were already a row of fans waiting. Some with mini ladders and chairs.. I thought wow.. these fans are insane..
Tumblr media
I stood there waiting for 3 hours until IU finally came out! There was a Cantonese translator there translating and some questions were asking about how she felt about working with Lee Sung Gyun and about the variety show she was in. IU tried to say some phrases of Cantonese and asked how to say certain things. It was super cute. Another question asked if there were going to be any guests and that there will be someone that she hasn’t met yet (suggesting that it is most likely a Hong Kong artist). The highlight was definitely at the end when she was asked if she was going to do any acting in Hong Kong and she answered in Cantonese (with the help of the translator) saying that if everyone wants that she can make it happen. Wow I thought, if she would actually go to Hong Kong to work on a drama, that would be insane and amazing for Hong Kong fans. Anyways in the end, we all gave a “hwaiting” for IU for tomorrow’s concert and left.  I was excited for the next day.

11/25/17 Concert Day (IU’s ‘Palette’ in Hong Kong at Asia-World Expo)
Finally, the day I was waiting for is here! Word got out that there will be metal detectors and that photography and video recording is strictly not allowed. I had my regular point and shoot camera that I wanted to bring as well as my DSLR. I spoke to a few people and convinced myself not to bring anything in case they take it away or not allow me. I didn’t want to get kicked out from a concert I flew 8000 miles to see. This would be the first concert that I wouldn’t have my camera but that’s alright. I should really enjoy it through my eyes and not through a lens. I sat in row K seat 88 which meant I was all the way on the side of the stage and it wasn’t the best view since it was not in the middle. Around 8:15 the concert finally started.
Tumblr media
My personal highlights of the concert:
IU opens up with dlwlrma, red queen, and the red shoes. It was an amazing opening, she actually disappears after performing The Red Shoes like usually does. A lot of the Hong Kong fans seems to know the lyrics to all the songs as they sung along to Leon (myungsoo parts) as well as The Shower.
After every few songs that she performs, she would bend down, and drink her water with a straw saying “yum dom shui sin” meaning “lets drink water first” in Cantonese. I found that so adorable.
She talks at the beginning about how since the concert name is “Palette” she will show different Palettes of herself with the types of song she’s going to sing as well as the outfits. She changed several times.
White (pale color), Red, Green , Black with a black cap, Sparkly dress, Red/Black with jeans (from my memory.. I think that was the outfits)
I was fanchanting along my section where no one seemed to know any of the lyrics, I was singing and fan chatting to all the songs while at some points, I got some stares but it’s alright. I’m supposed to enjoy myself at a concert!
She had a little chat with us and right before performing ‘Every End of the Day’ she started to talk about how the next song she was about to perform, she hopes we know the song since it’s been a while. I’ve expressed so many times that I wanted to see her perform this live and I’m happy I got to because the dance is so cheerful.
One point the concert, she also announced that from now on, she will call all Hong Kong Uaenas “Hongaenas” I felt out of place since I wasn’t a Hong Kong Uaena but that’s fine.
Finally the part of the concert when her guest comes out! She starts singing to “can’t love you anymore” When Oh Hyuk’s part came, Khalil Fong makes his appearance. After the song there’s an introduction as well as a small conversation about Hong Kong. Khalil Fong talks a bit about pineapple bun and hong kong milk tea. Khalil Fong said that he’ll treat IU and that they can write a song together. IU said that if Khalil Fong ever has a concert in Korea, feel free to contact her for assistance!  Khalil Fong performs a song on his own and then leaves the stage.
IU comes out and performs Merry Christmas in Advance and rightfully so, she says because it’s almost Christmas time. What a perfect gift!
I couldn’t wait for Friday because I’ve always wanted to be her concert and be in the crowd to sing Friday. It was amazing, she pointed the mic to us when it was Jang Yijeong’s parts.
So she stops and asks us if we want photo time. Of course we scream “YES” and she fixes her hair and asks if everything is okay.. lol she walks to the other side of the stage first and then to my side.
This was one of the peak moments. I don’t remember exactly when but she performs ‘You Know” Rock version and walks around the sides of the aisles and back onto the stage. I felt super fortunate at this point because I happen to be on the side seats I was able to see IU up close and got a tap on the hands as she was passing by! Tried to record but was focusing on her with my eyes rather than my phone!
SEE Video Here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/17T6YM6pjTFITzvcSNl4Wl0GE9mWGNsT_Sg/view
So ‘Palette’ was next and a video slide of never before seen photos plays in the back video. It was hard to see them so I had to go look at videos afterwards.  She sings the whole song on her own including her version of the rap. Towards the end of the part, she also points the mic to us to sing along. I sing along:
“I like it, I'm twenty five
날 좋아하는 거 알아
I got this, I'm truly fine
이제 조금 알 것 같아 날”
Haha IU also mentions that no matter how much she prepares for her concerts and her fans, she always loses to us. “mui qi doh shu bei dai ga” she repeats it in Cantonese from the translator. She also tells us to scream “encore encore” if we want her to come back out. She said she won’t come out if we don’t!
Next she goes on to sing Good Day and this will be the first time I’m going to hear the 3 octave note live.  The last time I watched IU perform Good Day at KCON, she didn’t sing it because she usually never does anymore out of her own solo concerts. IU is REALLY “REAL DAEBAK A-I-YU” After the end of ‘Good Day’ she exits the stage as if it’s the “end” of the concert.
Everyone starts to scream ‘ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE, and IU IU IU!’ We all raise out green finger lights that represents fireflies that was prepared on our chairs before. She finally comes out in a shiny dress and sings ‘Through the Night’ She then goes on to say that the last song is for all of us. As she sings “Dear Name” towards the end, names appear on the screen. I tried to look for mine but the angle was so bad I couldn’t see it. She exits the stage and then comes out to perform ‘Autumn Morning’ in a more casual red shirt, black vest over it, and jeans.
Here’s the REAL surprise! She starts to sing “Through the Night” in Cantonese. I was so shocked. She definitely practiced really well or she had the Cantonese tones pretty nice for someone that doesn’t know it. To know the lyrics as well is not easy. The lyrics are pretty well written I have to say as well.
She sang ‘Heart’ next and we all sang along as she pointed the mic to us. It’s a very relaxing song to sing and very fun. You could hear all the Hongaenas singing along. Afterwards, she asked all of us what song we would like to request and she ended up singing the Cantonese Song “Hei Tip Gai” or AKA Wedding Invitation Card Street. She said she hasn’t practiced it in a long time so we shouldn’t have high expectations for it.
She ends with ‘Meaning of You’ I knew she was eventually going to sing this. Well.. more like I was hoping she would. So I could sing along haha.. As you all realize now, I like singing along with IU. She dragged the ending part several times and I knew she wanted to drag it as long as she could but because of the venue, she couldn’t do more songs or else she said she would. She was worried that we wouldn’t be able to get home on time. And there it was… the end. An amazing 3.5 hour concert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another impressive thing is that most of her concert, she spoke English. Though there were certain points where she needed a translator, I would say about 95% of the time she spoke all English. Impressed! I can’t wait to see a concert of hers in Korea. My only disappointment is that she didn’t perform Raindrop but that’s alright!

My experience with Fragrant Jewels (5 Pros, 5 Cons)
So they kept advertising on FaceBook in ads and I've always loved LUSH's bath bombs. I guess you can say this a review of sort of my experience ordering with them. I've included photos and a video of the bath bomb being used, as well as my ring!
PROS:
1. Pick your ring size: My finger is always too small for anything because, well, I'm a relatively tiny person. FJ allows you to pick your ring size, from 5 to 16, with even a "surprise me!" Option. This makes my life so much easier and I'm so happy that I was able to get rings that fit!!
2. Different sets: You can do three bombs in a set, a candle and a bomb, or just a bomb. It's all up to you on what choice you wanna make. I went with their Hello Kitty 3 Bath Bomb set!
3. Check your ring value: With each bomb comes a ring in a small capsule, along with a special code. You go to their website and enter your email and the code, then they'll tell you how much your ring is worth. I've used one of my HK bath bombs already and my ring is values at what they say is $30. It's still fun!
4. Box was decorated, adorably and well wrapped: I order from Amazon all the time, just open the box, grab the shit, throw it out. But NO, they included a decorative box of Hello Kitty, with pink bubble wrap covering each bomb securely. It was all pink and cute, something I couldn't help but be really driven to keep!! My box is in my closet still holding the remaining 2 bombs and I think it's positively amazing they invested so much time into it.
5. Overall product is great: While relatively small compared to a lot of handmade bath bombs I have used, FJ's bombs were delicious smelling and got my skin nice and soft! As soon as the bomb hit the bath, it flushed out in a foamy spray, something I'm not used to. As I said, my skin is nice and soft while usually it is typically dry and irritated.
CONS:
1. Bath bomb size, but not too bad?: I do think a larger bath bomb would empower me to buy more of FJ's products. I have used other bombs and I just feel like this one is awfully small compared to others.
2. Very expensive: Shipping costed me $12 on a $40 something order. While I understand the product is handmade, with a ring inside, I felt I'd rather buy LUSH's bombs for $7-9 a piece instead.
3. Shipping and Late arrival: I have bad experiences with FedEx shipping unfortunately in my area and they are notorious for delivering late. My bath bombs left the FJ warehouse two Tuesdays ago, and only arrived just today at 2pm. The bombs were due 4-5 days ago and it was very disappointing I was stuck waiting so long. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm still happy I chose this product regardless!
4. Gotta know your ring size to get a good fit: If you were unprepared like me, your rings may not fit on every finger. I was dumb and this is more a personal con.
5. Not sure if I believe the ring value: The rings are gorgeous, but they feel like they were made from relatively cheap plastic. It is not bad, but I'm really hoping my ring was worth $30 and I'm not being duped.
Nonetheless, I absolutely love this company. The products came in with great care and everyone honestly should give it a try.

Lista Ng Mga Mainstream Spots Na Ayoko EP 02
Medyo hindi pa ako matahimik sa listang ito kaya ipagpatuloy natin. Pagkagising ko today, ayaw niya akong tantanan so go! Napaka babaw. Everything about it is just too made up.  I tried looking for the hidden Mickey pero wala e. Ayoko talaga ng mga tourist spots na manmade. Isa na naman ‘yan sa mga biases ko in life until death.  Sa Ocean Park naman, simula pa lang, naaawa na ako sa animals. Jusko. Bakit sila ginagawang accessory to capitalism? Bakit kahit na isipin ko na they are well taken cared of, ang sakit-sakit pa rin ng puso whenever I see them? Bakit ang lupit ng tingin ko sa business model ng Ocean Park pero, hindi ‘yun nagma-matter kasi suportado ng government ang tourism na generated ng Ocean Park (just like Disneyland). May sariling station ‘yung papuntang Ocean Park. Jusko. Gusto ko na lang umuwi. Mag-bike sa city side and mag-photowalk tapos sumakay ng ferry.  VICTORIA PEAK, Hong Kong  Hindi ko magets why tourists need to go to The Peak.
Nakakasad kasi with progress ba talaga comes a huge cost na endangering the sustainability of a rich and vibrant city?
Honestly, gusto ko ‘yung breath-taking in real life na nasasabi kong photos and videos do not do justice to the places I visit level. Ganyan. ‘Yung swelling ‘yung insides ko na pakiramdam. ‘Yun.
Go for exploring the city on a bike and via ferry and bus. Tapos ride all the colors ng cab, too. Gusto ko rin ‘yung Ngong Ping trip. Then, hanap-hanap ka ng mga small art space sa Central. Merong malapit sa Little Bao. Parang First United sa Escolta siya pero ‘yung mas organized and mas progressive. Too bad na hindi ko binili ‘yung wooden musical box na handmade na Little Prince. Sigh. Daming artists sa HK. Try mo rin ‘yung mga free tours nila depending on the season. Kung swerte ka, worth exploring din ‘yung film scene nila especially during film fest season.
RUINS OF ST. PAUL, Macau Probably one of the most disappointing landmarks na pinuntahan ko to date kasi though super steal ng deal na na-score ko from HK to Macau both for transpo and tour, hindi talaga siya makatarungan in ALL aspects.
The place gets easily congested kasi nga maliit lang siya tapos wala ka pang mapag-stayan to chill and people watch.
Go for exploring ‘yung mga old world feels ng mga kalsada ng Macau lalo ‘yung mga hindi matao.
RECLINING BUDDHA, Thailand  Hindi talaga ako fan ng mga temples and mga museums in general though I like history. Hindi ko alam kung bakit kasi they are supposedly co-existing pero thing is, ang dalang kong makatagpo ng museum and temples na authentic ang vibe. Minsan iniisip ko if yung mga relics/artifacts e tampered na or worse, replica na lang. And the reclining buddha is not an exception kahit na I hoped na sana ‘wag ganun. First stop, ang daming tao and ang gulo-gulo which is very unbecoming considering na temple siya. Noong nakita ko na ‘yung statue I was like, eto na ‘yung pinunta ko dito? Eto lang? Bakit name-mesmerize ‘yung mga tao sa ganito lang? Grabe lang ba expectation ko? Hindi ba realistic, pero sana kasi maramdamin ko man lang ‘yung solemnity or at the very least, the calmness of the place, but no. Plus, nakita ko pa ‘yung mga jars/vases na may paandar na lagyan ng coins for good luck or wish or whatever. Grabe. Dinaig pa wishing well na kahit magkano lang ibato mo, good to go na ‘yung good luck or wish mo. I really cannot stomach it.  Go for the less known temples. Similar naman ‘yung architecture nila so maganda pa rin magpicture and all pero madadama mo ‘yung break from the bustling city sa mga medyo mas hindi kilalang temple. Actually, we just stumbled upon a temple nung killing time kami for the famous/infamous crab omelette spot nearby. Hindi pa kasi bukas because we did not have any reservations. We were so lucky that we were able to climb the temple all the way to the top. Had the chance to reflect and feel that calmness. Plus, I got to see the non-stereotypical na mga monks. One of them pa nga had a large tattoo in full color. Was so tempted to ask if I can take a snap/video of him pero sabi ko I had to temper myself kasi monk e.
CHOCOLATE VILLE, Thailand  Gaganda ng mga shots sa lugar na ito pero underwhelming sa totoong buhay. Effort pang puntahan kasi medyo in the middle of nowhere siya at wala ng ibang katabing mga spots. Seems like ginawa lang talaga ‘yung place para puntahan for photos, so, lels and luhs. So, go ka if ang gusto mo e isang series ng feed na pangmalakasan pero walang nakakabit na kwento at quotes lang ang panlaban mo.
Go for a cooking class under Chef Liz instead. Sobrang sulit and to be honest, ‘yung mga niluto namin sa class na ito beat the shit out of the restaurant food na magaganda ang reviews sa TripAdvisor or mga blogs or vlogs combined. Best ever sticky rice to think na ang sasarap na ng mga sticky rice be it sa tabing-daan or sa classy restos. ‘Yung rice kasi ang nagdala since ‘yung paggawa niya is not mass produced plus ‘yung coconut cream is made from scratch as well. Rice was cooked traditionally as well and was served hot and that elevated the satisfaction level even more. Sobrang passionate pa ni Chef Liz and her school helps girls to finish their studies.
Will definitely go for recos nina Mark Wiens and Mikey Chen, instead. ‘Wag na isama si Anthony Bourdain kasi given naman na ‘yun. So, we tried some of his recos and sakto lang. Underwhelming.
Go for the spots na medyo shady man e frequented ng locals. As in ‘yung medyo tabi ng estero, nasa tagong pasilyo or nasa weird location like in between ng mga automotive supplies area. Basta, go where the locals go. Bring lang your own water bottle para mas may safety blanket ka and Loperamide if mahina tummy mo, but I did not have a queasy tummy naman ever sa trips ko so far.
CHATUCHAK MARKET, Thailand  Ang init noong punta namin is hotter than Divisoria levels. Ang to be honest, any clothing na tiangge find worth 200 PHP is pricey na for me. Wala ring wow factor sa mga stalls so I got bored easily --20 minutes to be exact. ‘Yung mga tindera pa doon sa mga pinuntahan namin e napakakikinis at napakapuputi so nakakahiyang tumawad for me. Iniisip ko lang paano nila na-achieve ‘yung ganung level na kakinisan and kaputian in life.
Skip the shopping and go for a food trip. Ang daming masasarap na street food doon. Better get a Grab/Uber na rin kasi ang hirap kausap ng mga cab drivers.  EGG COFFEE, Vietnam  Got my fix in Giang Cafe, ang OG na creator ng egg coffee sa Hanoi. Maganda ‘yung lugar kasi very old school siya. Maganda rin ‘yung spot ko kasi overlooking ‘yung kalsadang puno ng mga motorbikes and gabi pa so mas putok na putok ang prod-like vibe. Pero ‘yung coffee itself, okay lang. Nothing special. Hindi man ako fan ng coffee, whenever I go to new place, I always taste coffee kasi it reflects culture.  Go for the weasel coffee in hazelnut. I was asked to sample it ang sinabi nung good-natured owner na weasel nga daw ‘yun. Sobrang mura. May libre pang coffee dripper kaya sold na ako, solve pa. Plus points kasi hindi rin ako fan ng hazelnut, but it tasted so good.
HA LONG BAY, Vietnam  El Nido 5ever, mumsh! Nadali ako nito kasi UNESCO-approved ito. ‘Di ko napagtanto na four hours ‘yung one-way trip dito so basically, isang buong araw ‘yung nakain sa stay ko. Nakakatawa sa cave kasi para maganda ang look, nilagyan nila ng mga ilaw which made it so pretentious. Our tour guide was really full of effort pero no deal. Points for the old world looks ng boats and napaka walang hassle na pag-tour na walang kahit anong mababasa sa’yo unless mag-kayak ka. May lagoon pa na meh na meh. ‘Yung tubig hindi super blue so ako, ano ba uwi na ako ‘yung pakiramdam ko.
Go for biking around the city and nearby places. I had one very early in the morning. I arrived in Hanoi at 1:30 AM then rachada na ako ng 5:30 AM. Hindi mabaho ‘yung mga palengke nila and ang sarap lang manood na nagu-unfold ‘yung city. Wonder how it looks ‘pag gabi on my bike.
Pansin ko lang mas masaya talaga ako na wala ako sa mga spots na touristy. Mas rusty is trusty ang peg ko sa life. Looking forward to more trips na walang itinerary masyado and more focused sa interaction and immersion with locals for a more authentic experience na surely one for the books and hindi confined sa feed goals. Oh, the roads less traveled! See you.

(1/?) Travel-anon-hi! Sorry for the late reply, I've been feeling a bit under the weather D: But wow! That's so sweet of you for what you did for your mom! My family's not big on celebrating parent days, but we do go out for dinners - my mom's bday is a couple days before, so we merge the two ;u;~ Thank you! I'll probably come back with a pile of photos, and be super picky which to instagram, haha. Oh! Good idea with the perfume! I normally don't carry any, but this sounds like a good reason to.
(2/?) Aw, you had to give up your internship? I’m sorry D: but on the bright side, vacation? Would you be able to do the internship another time? In terms of expensiveness, I think HK topped it for me. The livelihood there is super high end and overpriced to me :/ And ikr! I wish it were like that here too, but North America’s just too big and spread out for that unless you lived downtown, but that’s expensive D: In December, one Japan night was 24 degrees celsius ouo;; that’s pretty much summer
(3/?) But it does depend where you’re at in Japan! That night I was in Tokyo! It’ll be colder if you’re farther north~ I don’t know if the magikarp promo is still going D: but if it is, you definitely have to try it! I actually like the “crispy sandwich caramel” haagen dazs! I can’t get it where I’m from ;u; so depriveeeed. Your convenience stores sound so much better than mine! All mine have are dollar store things and candy OTL? Usually super grungy looking too. Aw, that’s cute! Do you visit?
(4/?) For the cat, not your sister (well, I guess her too), haha. I don’t remember, did you say you’d try to get a pet in the future for yourself, maybe? Yep! Certain holidays or popular events cause tickets to be more expensive to those countries during those times~ It’s still modern art?! Why isn’t there any traditional ones D:?! I actually prefer modern art, haha; mostly the interactive type ones! I don’t particularly have a favourite artist; I appreciate based on how interesting their-
(5/?) concepts are and how well they executed it. I mean, we did drop a lot of cash on the machines (and won nothing a lot of times), so I’m pretty sure that’s why they took pity on us, haha! I hope you’re lucky enough to either win it yourself, or find someone to help you! I also wish for you to be good at those games ;D! Have you had any more ramen since I last spoke to you? You’re still making me crave for it, and I can’t have any right now ;u; Oo, barely any jet lag can be a good thing!
(6/?) I don’t jet lag much when I travel, but the bits that I do, I accounted for, and used it for long-term traveling within the country! Oo, I hope I get to try a vietnamese hot pot some time then :D! If we ever manage to meet up in another country, let’s hit up vietnamese hot pot, haha. Omg, both of those movies were so good!! Infinity war, I really hope you do get to see it soon D: There’s so many spoilers out already, and it would suck if you got completely ruined to it beforehand!
(7/?) I preordered all 4 albums when they first opened it :D;; If I was only getting 1 of them though, I’d have gotten O! What about you? Did you preorder, or are you going to hit up a store when it’s released where you are? Which is your favourite concept? And, omg, yes. Jimin’s pretty hardcore when it comes to going 0 to 100, so I tend to die fairly often, haha. How do you manage to keep up with Tae?! He’s just as bad, if not worse, than Jimin’s 0-100?! He’s too pretty and amazing as a person!
(8/8) I was going to end this at 7, but well, here’s 8, haha. I follow on yt, and when a notice pops up, I listen and fav the song if it matches my tastes :D NCT is going haaard right now, like wow, almost every other week or two OTL I’ve been into kpop for so long that I like a lot of groups, so it’s hard to recount all of them, haha. What about you? Who else do you listen to? How long have you been into kpop? How was the Tswift concert?! Did you have an amazing time?? How early did you lineup?
hello, m’love!! oh noo, i’m so sorry to hear that ): are you feeling better now? make sure to drink lots of fluids and rest up! and thank you :’) i hope you had a good dinner with your family!! and happy belated birthday to your mom 💕 oh gosh, my instagram is a mess, i just post sporadically and nothing matches. but i think i’ll start trying to make a nicer instagram page though haha. yeah, it’s pretty helpful with the perfume because you can’t bring pepper spray onto planes or anything for travel, so i just pack a small perfume bottle instead!
yeah, i’m excited for the vacation!! i won’t be able to do an internship until next summer then unfortunately. oooh, i heard kong kong is really nice! but i’ll make sure not to go there until i have money lmao. yeah, the only way walking is fine in north america is if i live in one of the big cities, like nyc. oh my god, in december??? it’s going to be even worse since i’m going in the summer D: i think overall it’s going to be very hot in japan because it’s summer when i’ll be there.
ahhh, even if there’s no magikarp, i’m still excited to eat taiyaki!! omg ok, i’ll make sure to get that ice cream flavor when i’m there :o and that really sucks ): hopefully, you’ll get to come back to japan soon and then you can get the ice cream :D ah yeah, there’s a lot of dollar store items and travel items too and candy. i think most convenience stores are pretty grungy tbh. i visited her last year! but that was before she got a cat sadly ):
and yes!! i want to get a dog and a cat in the future! i suppose there are a few traditional art pieces on display? but i think most people here enjoy modernized art more, like even the buildings and such in the usa are much more modern compared to europe. i guess it’s because the usa hasn’t been a country for as long as european countries, so everything is newer looking. oooh nice!! interactive art is always fun! :D modern art is really beautiful too, but sometimes, i see something like the entire canvas is painted one color with only one stripe down it and i’m like ??? how is this worth 91283472319 dollars???
asdfjkads that’s going to be me. i’m going to spend all my money on the crane machines and win nothing, so let’s hope someone will help me ahah and thank you!! fingers crossed! :’)  and i haven’t had any ramen since ): ramen isn’t the healthiest, so i try not to eat it often. ajsdhfalks but you can’t have any right now? D: did you run out? oooh, and that’s smart! i really hope the jet lag won’t hit so hard because i want to explore everything, but there’s never enough time. and yes!! we’ll definitely get vietnamese hot pot, and then you’ll have to show me all your favorite food places too :D ahhh, i want to see both of them soon! i took my last midterm yesterday, but i still have papers and several projects to do ): and my weekends are packed since i have some things to go to for my friends’ birthdays and i think we might do a road trip for the upcoming memorial weekend since we get monday off.
and omg so lucky!! all four wow :o well, i didn’t preorder it, but i dont know which album i want either. maybe R or O? because they all look good in denim, but tae had that lip ring.. and unfortunately, they don’t sell kpop merch in stores anywhere near me /: so i’ll have to order it from amazon if i do buy it! honestly all the concepts are pretty though. jimin’s stage presence vs real life is mind blowing with how he can switch so fast. askdlhfjaj i barely keep up with tae, he’s too perfect and he’s such a sweetheart pluS HIS DOGS AND CAT ARE SO CUTE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
asdf, nasd oh my god i love nct so so so much, like nct dream is my ult boy group favorite, and i’m so sad mark is graduating from the dreamies after this year ): did you see their chain mv? who’s your bias? oh my gosh i’m so excited to hear you like nct alskdjfhalew i really, really, really love taeyeon, like she’s my ult bias, but i also love shinee and blackpink (when will they release a new song)!!! i follow up with those three and nct the most. but i also listen to red velvet, gfriend, twice, kard, day6, wanna one, monsta x, infinite, vixx, astro, and f(x) like when are they coming back ): oh and (g)i-dle!!! i pretty much listen to whatever group that currently makes a comeback, so i know the title songs of most of the kpop groups, but i don’t know each of the members’ names. and i’ve been into kpop since early 2014 :’)
ooooh my god, the taylor swift concert marks the best night of my life, likE I LOVE HER SO MUCH I’VE BEEN A FAN SINCE 2006 AND I CAN’T BELIEVE I FINALLY GOT TO GO TO HER CONCERT!!!! but i got there two hours early for the lineup, and when it started, i sang along for every single song, and when she sang a mashup with long live included, i was over the moon, plus before the concert, i was like oh hey what if she sings the best day because it’s mother’s day tomorrow anD SHE ACTUALLY DID AND I CRIED OMG I GOT SO EMO i was shaking like i tried to get good videos on my phone, but my phone also died and the video will show you how shaky i actually was and wow i just– best experience, i will definitely go to her concerts over and over again and i just loved it so much. so yeah i was pretty excited and super happy overall :’) and how is your week going? 💗
