This has been a topic stirring in my heart for some time and especially hard this week. Perhaps as C.S Lewis said it’s not a time to display all you know but rather coming to God in humility, sincerity, and take time to stand in awe that God is God and you are not. Remember that after all, GOD IS GLORY. 

Going through the motions doesn’t please you,    a flawless performance is nothing to you. I learned God-worship    when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love    don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.

Psalm 51:17- The Message

Prayer: God I am here, in awe of all that you are, forgive me. Although I don’t understand my current circumstance, please shine your light through the darkness that is trying to keep my heart away from you, help keep me aware of your constant presence, so that I can drink from your fountain of grace every second of everyday of my life. Amen. 

(and later, I added/ended with) I don’t want to miss a thing, yes like the Aerosmith song.

This is a prayer that has gotten me through some crazy seasons in these past gosh... 10 years, and you know what God has ALWAYS answered it. Its not perfect but it comes from the very fiber of my being. This is where it all begins.
