Funny how the anger I felt after watching the v8 finale makes me love it even more now because v9 makes that anger feel so incredibly justified

ball of fire n. a dynamic person capable of or displaying rapid and highly effective thought, action, etc.:
(aka the moving out solo)
Tumblr media
it’s obvious that the past month hadn’t been the kang household’s favorite due to recent events involving the daughter. a drift had been caused by the fact that mina was essentially going against her mother’s wishes for her. rather than doing what her mother thought was best for her in order to live a happy life, she instead followed her heart- wait that’s too cheesy- her gut by signing a contract and going home in hours so late that she is the only one making a peep in the house as she quietly walks to her room.
though she didn’t get to see her mother for most of her days, she couldn’t deny her presence in the house. she was sure her mother couldn’t deny her own daughter’s, either. she feels as if her mother had a cloud of disappoint in her head over the fact that mina isn’t the daughter she had hoped to be. mina’s cloud, on the other hand, was of guilt over the whole situation. and her usual bright, fiery personality is dimmed by the late hour when she opens the door to her home.
there are nights where she doesn’t even go to her home at all. in the last month, she asked to stay at daniel’s after practicing for evaluations with her group. she doesn’t go in-depth with her reasons as to why, but she thinks he understands enough if he lets her stay over. and on those nights, the ache in her heart is more faint.
that’s the reason as to why she and her father are carrying things out to his car. it was going to take her to the train to her new home with chungha. somewhere closer from work. further from… here. it makes sense, anyway. with her being a new addition to the hertz project that the older was also involved in, it only strengthened her choice in wanting to move in with her. and thankfully, she said yes, despite the fact she knew how rambunctious kang mina could be. (she jokes… mostly.)
as he closes the trunk of his car, he looks over at her and asks her a question. “you wanna say bye to your mom before you go?” mina makes a face. “come on. please?”
“okay,” she says with a sigh, walking into the house to head for her mother’s room. the closed door is more intimidating than it should be for her. after all, she hasn’t… verbally spoken with her mother since everything happened.
she knocks on it, taking a few seconds before twisting the knob and peeking in to see what her mother was up to. she was faced away from the door, looking at something that mina couldn’t see from outside. she decides to go in properly to talk to her mother.
“mom,” she starts off, her voice going silent due to timidness. “i’m getting ready to move. i just wanted to let you know. dad and i already got everything in the car, so i’m good to go.”
silence in response. that’s fair, in her opinion. she thinks she deserves it, to be honest.
“i wanted to let you know before i had to go on my way,” she continued, feeling more and more embarrassed as she spoke. “and… thank you for all these years of taking care of me. i know you and dad do a lot for me and i know i act ungrateful sometimes. i guess i was just upset about moving to korea.” and about other things, but she didn’t want to anger her mother with her honest thoughts about the family. she feels as if she’s better than that.
“thank you for loving me and always looking out for me.” though it feels weird to say, considering everyone in this house knew that her mother and her certainly didn’t see eye to eye on what was best for the girl. “i know i’m not the best daughter, especially with all that’s happened. but i’m thankful for all that you’ve done for me. i’m not good at letting you know, but i love you. a lot.” she bows her head to the other to end her speech. it felt… polite, but also fitting for her to do.
she waits for a response from her mother. with the fact that she was more closer to her than she was while waiting outside her door, she was able to see more of what her mother was doing. she had a book open. and it didn’t take long for mina to figure out what she was doing before she heard her mother sniff, still not looking at mina at all while she was there.
she turns around to save herself from staying any longer. she knew that if she did, she’d only regret her decision and she didn’t want to. this was good for her. but even if so, it hurt to basically have the fact that she hurt her mother be confirmed.
a tear strolls down her cheek, but she wipes it with the back of her finger, sniffling as a way to hold herself together. after taking a deep breath and blinking her eyes rapidly to dry her eyes from spilling any more, she walks downstairs before heading outside to the car once again. she walks up to her dad and he looks at her with a small smile. she’s not sure what it means. it was either pride or sympathy.
“you ready to go?”
she nods her head.
“alright. let’s go.”
ginger is a color she’s never really thought of trying before. she was always afraid of the concept of bleaching her hair. the lightest her hair was before this was a red-tinted brown and that was because she used cheap box-dye for brown hair. but she didn’t hate the hair. in fact she loved it, as she was the one who asked for it. sure, the process of it was itchy for her scalp, but the result came out perfectly. and she feels a lot more confident.
she makes sure to post her selfies as soon as she comes home, her face all smiley after she had just seen her boyfriend. as soon as she gets on her bed, she grabs her phone to send him a few texts, the happiness still very much in her as she wishes him a good night. god, never did she think she’d be all giddy because of a boy. but she’s happy that boy is choi soobin. she’d rather it be him than anyone else.
kang mina. in a relationship. she really couldn’t get that thought out of her head.
she lies in bed on her phone for a few minutes before she jolts up, having the urge to write her thoughts down. there was a lot she wanted to record in her journal since the last time she had written in it. and only half of them were about how soobin makes her so happy. gosh, she’s bonkers for him to the point that it’s embarrassing.
as soon as she finds the journal and her usual pen, she begins to write in it.
august 2020
i have so much to update you on!
it’s only been a month since i became a trainee in sphere and i just got added in the heartz project! it’s a project that sphere’s doing for their upcoming girl group and three girls have already debuted!!! OMG it’s so exciting to be involved with such a project!!! there’s a lot of talented girls in the project. like yoorim (who joined the same time i did!!! we have so much in common it’s kind of scary), chungha, the lee gahyeon, and the yuzu!!! and so much more cool people!!!! unfortunately, it means i won’t be doing evaluations with my brother or other trainee friends until the project is over (or if i debut. but that’s a big if! there’s so many talented girls in the project!!). but, the coaches must’ve seen something in me, so all i can do is work hard and prove myself that i’m worthy!!!! and also make more friends, because everyone is seriously so cool. >_<
i also dyed my hair!!! it’s ginger… or orange? or red??? i don’t know but it’s that color!! and i look really cool with it tbh!! i kinda look like beverly marsh when she had long hair… or ladybird… or flame princess… or any cool person who has had ginger hair. either way, i look super cute with it!!
and i showed soobin a pic of me with it and he was so cute omgggg ㅠㅠ ugh he’s seriously so great every time i talk about him i get all smiley and butterflies get in my stomach and !!!! yeah wow i need to have another entry talking about how much i like him it’s kind of embarrassing but thankfully i can be all gross about how much i like him in here
i finally moved out of my parents’... it was hard, i will admit. having lived there for so long since i came back to korea does that, i guess. i don’t think i would’ve moved out had it not been for the getting casted thing. i always thought i’d leave after i graduated from ungrad school then move onto grad school. but, i’m not going to school!!! so that much has happened lol
i’m going to miss a lot of stuff about living with them, but i know it’s for the better. idk if i’d want to see my mom for a while. maybe my dad, but not her. idk we’ll see! for now, i’m just happy that i’m living somewhere better. and with someone i can look up to!! even if i am getting closer to chungha unnie, i really do think she’s such a cool person and i hope she can debut in heartz, soon… and hopefully i can debut with her!! but we’ll see what the future holds!!!
and i’ll keep you updated on that future, too!!
that’s all!! i’m getting tired and i don’t want to drool on u lolol gn!! will write in u… in a month maybe?
after she finishes the last sentence, she closes the book and starts to get ready for bed.

Doesn't it just piss you off when people brag about drugs and stuff? If the bragging sounds very “look at me I’m so cool and edgy, and you’re not because you haven’t tried it” it does get annoying and I just mute them in my head as I nod along. I don’t mind it if people raise it casually. You do you, just don’t be pretentious about it.
Have you ever egged a person? No, that just sounds stupid and is such a waste of food.
Are you a TV person, or prefer to actually leave the premises of your house? I normally like a healthy balance of both but eugh, these days I’m obviously so sick of having to stay home for this long. I will definitely be a bit of an extrovert once this is all over.
What do the home phone numbers start with in your area? Mine is 9. 8. It used to be different for all homes, but the main phone company in the country institutionalized the system not too long ago and announced that all numbers and hotlines were now going to start with 8.
Would you come to Australia if you had the opportunity? If everything was paid for or if it was a vacation planned out by my parents, sure. It wouldn’t be my first pick for a vacation as I feel like some parts of it have weather too similar to ours, and I simply just have other countries on my list that are bigger priorities for me to travel to.
I hope you said yes. Sorry bout that. I think it’s an interesting place though!
Are you with the teens these days? I’m still very aware of the trends. I share memes as if I was still a teen lmao and I definitely still use whatever slang is in, but I also don’t participate in a number of trends, like Tiktok or Instagram.
Or do they just piss you off with their attitudes? I haven’t seen anyone disrespectful in a while, but then again maybe I’m just biased towards the high school kids from my alma mater that I’m Facebook friends with lmao. Honestly, I don’t know a good number of teens anymore to have an informed opinion about them. The ones I know are very nice, not one problem about their attitude at all - but are definitely more vain and conscious about fitting in and looking good on social media than how the past waves of teenagers used to be.
You working? I am not. Yet. I will be very soon, hopefully.
Where abouts? What do you do? Just wait a little more, I’ll be updating you before the year ends.
You want a career, or happy with just a job? I’d wanna go jump right ahead and start building my career. Never really been a beating-around-the-bush kind of person.
Are you all for second chances? Not a fan.
Do you think anyone on the outside of a situation has the right to judge? Not always. I always take into account what that person might be going through, but I also recognized limits. I will never judge someone who just got an abortion, but like I also wouldn’t think twice about anyone who’s sexually abused someone else.
I hate kids cause they're all a bunch of layabouts. Why do you hate them? I don’t hate kids. If they’re acting terribly, I usually blame it on their environment or on their parents.
How cool was the 90's? Cool enough for a number of its trends to make a comeback today lol, like high-waisted jeans, chunky sneakers, and fanny packs. I don’t like the cheesy girl group/boy band love songs though.
What era had the best music? 2010s mainly because this is the first decade I got to emotionally connect with music at the same time they got released. Some songs in the past decades are important to me too, but I feel detached from them due to them being released way way back.
Do you find it weird that you've actually lived in 2 milleniums? Not really. I found it cooler when I read about people being born in the 1990s being alive for technically three (now four) decades. The math didn’t make sense to me at first but it felt like such a mindfuck when I finally understood it.
Has it occured to you that people won't see that for 1000 more years? No. Now it does.
Name someone you haven't seen for years. Raegan. She was a good friend of mine from prep and super super super insanely rich, it almost felt like I didn’t deserve to be her friend, much less be invited to their giant ass house lol. The last time I saw her was at my 7th birthday party during the summer, but she changed schools by Grade 1 and I haven’t seen her since.
Do you ever wonder if they think about you? I doubt it. We’ve lived very different, distant paths since then. It’s so weird though because even though we haven’t met up in 16 years, she literally just studies in the university beside ours. Literally a stone’s throw away. We’ve never seen each other at the nearby mall or anywhere in the area though.
So do you drink? Sure.
If you do, are you actually legally allowed? Yeah, for the last four years.
What about smoke? Yeah, but definitely not as much as I drink.
Into any of that hard schmak? Hard pass.
I think i may have made that term up. You smoke weed? Nope.
Did you know that weed might not be linked to skitzos afterall? I have no idea what you mean.
You know any Sams? A good amount, it’s a common name. I have a cousin named Sam, a former best friend, and I also went to school (both high school and college) with a good chunk of Sams. Kissed any Brads? I have not.
You have a pet named Bruiser? I don’t.
What's the best thing about Summer where you live? Going to the beach in the province. There isn’t anything exciting about summer here in the city, so we typically have to travel to have some fun.
Do you get snow there in Winter? We don’t get snow.
Do you wax your eyebrows? Nah I’m scared of most hair removal procedures because I’ve seen how red people get in the area that got worked on after leaving the spa lolol. Pluck or shave is fine with me since I’m not all that conscious about my eyebrows anyway.
Broken a bone? I have not.
Are you one of those people who do all communication over the internet? Right now, I don’t really have a choice. Normally my other options would be text or personally speaking with someone.
I think it's sad. I've heard of wedding invites being sent over facebook. It’s definitely cheaper and more efficient, but it just feels super impersonal to me. I’d still send out physical invitations, but I would also create a Facebook event to keep track of attendance and to send announcements if ever.
How do people know that there's a God? For some people, believing and faith have had a positive impact on them and they’re things that have influenced and molded who they are. It’s not invalid, but I preferably wouldn’t hang out with that kind of crowd.
How many places have you travelled to by plane? A. Lotttttt. Six countries, but way way more local provinces.

Characters: Amari/Tazaki; Miyoshi is there for (tough) moral support

Words: 2514
Notes: Modern AU/Flower Shop AU; I’m so tired of looking at this LOLOL but here’s chapter two~ More cliches and cheesiness coming ya way *finger guns*
Ch.1 | You can read this on AO3! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy~!╰(*´︶`*)╯
Ch 2: Handyman
Tazaki had always been hyper aware of Persephone's ever since he first saw Amari and right now was no exception. Today, however, he considered actually entering the shop. It'd been a week since the incident, giving Kaminaga enough time to keep his end of the deal (he did get a text from containing only a winking smiley, though that could've been about anything). Then again, there was also the possibility that Kaminaga didn't and Amari would just remember him as the Flower Murderer (even if it technically was his pigeons, he owned them, so by extension he was one).
Whatever the case was, he needed to make his choice quickly --
Coo!
Or maybe not. It seemed that his pigeons made the decision for him, if the flapping wings and scattered petals meant anything. Tazaki heaved a sigh as the remains of the flowers swirled around him. Very aesthetic, he thought, but he had other matters to prioritize.
"You guys..." Thankfully, the damage wasn't as big as last time's, but he still rushed to rein in his darlings before Amari came out.
"Back again?"
Dammit.
"I'm really sorry." Tazaki gave him a sheepish smile. "I don't know why they do this."
"Like I said, no worries," Amari reassured him as he stepped forward to help. "I'll take it as a compliment. There must be something they love about my flowers if they're this wild over them.”
"That's one way to look at it," Tazaki said, heart skipping as Amari neared him. Slowly, his pigeons climbed onto his arms though a few loitered around, having taken interest in Amari. Kazuaki, in particular, seemed to be quite taken with him if his tail flaring out was anything to go by. Knowing how Kazuaki got when excited, Tazaki hurried to get him back. "I-I'll pay again, for everything."
"You really don't have to."
"I want to."
After some coaxing, Kazuaki finally hopped onto his arms and with him, that was the last of his pigeons. Meanwhile, Amari tapped his chin as if debating his offer.
"I'd feel bad that if you keep spending so much on the flowers," Amari said. "But I have another way that you could pay me back."
Tazaki perked up, his pigeons following suit with their wings fluttering.
"What is it?"
"Sorry if this comes off as kinda weird, but you're friends with Kaminaga right?"
Tazaki nodded his head.
"Well, our faucet broke the other day and I haven't had the chance to call a repairman yet. Kaminaga said you were good with your hands --" Tazaki pursed his lips. He didn't want to know what else Kaminaga said about him. "-- so I was thinking that maybe you could fix it?"
"Uh, sure!" Tazaki said, a little more enthusiastically than he should have. "Ahem, I mean. Yeah. That's fine."
"Great." Amari grinned. "Just follow me."
Upon entering Persephone's, Tazaki was once again greeted with the sight of flowers upon flowers and the sounds of Frate's barking. After giving Frate a nice pat on the head, Tazaki placed his own darlings on the counter.
"Don't do anything bad, okay?" he said, pointing at each one of them. They chirped their agreement.
Shooting his pigeons one last warning, Tazaki caught up with Amari. He opened his mouth to ask what exactly was the problem, but then caught sight of the sink and grimaced.
"What happened here?"
Both of the handles had been torn off and tossed to the side and the leakage dripped into the sink. The faucet itself was in no better condition, dented and bruised beyond recognition. At least the sink wasn't clogged, so he didn't have to deal with that mess.
"Our other employee got a bit... heated," Amari said, rubbing the back of his neck. He chuckled nervously as he brought over the toolbox and replacement parts. "He's a lot stronger than he looks."
"I... see..." Tazaki didn't know who this other employee was, but he didn't plan on messing with him anytime soon.
"Anyways." Amari handed him a wrench and clapped his shoulder. "Have at it."
Dumbstruck, Tazaki took the wrench from him and stared at the sink. If it was just the leak, that'd be fine, but those handles looked pretty beat up and he wasn't sure if he could fit them back in. The faucet needed replacing, too, by the looks of it. As daunting as it seemed, Tazaki refused to do no less than perfect in front of Amari. In the background, his pigeons trilled and Amari moved about, and so he figured it was time to get to work.
"Not to get too personal," Amari said. The snipping of scissors filled the pause. "But why all the birds?"
Over the years, Tazaki had prepared a speech for whenever he got asked that question; "just because" never satisfied people, but they typically got off his case when given a long-winded answer. Even then, they usually talked about him behind his back, but he'd learned to accept it. Amari’s question, however, sounded genuinely curious. Tazaki couldn't tell what he was thinking, whether he was putting on an act or not, but his gut told him he could be trusted.
"No special reason," Tazaki said as turned off the water supply. "I like them. They're easy to be around."
Amari let out a hum, light and playful as if his answer answered everything.
"That's fair," he said with a cheery tone. "They're cute, too."
Hearing wings flapping, Tazaki allowed himself to glance back. He nearly dropped the wrench at the sight of Amari playing with his pigeons with such gentleness. Taking a deep breath, he forced himself to continue working.
"T-They sure are," he said, inspecting the faucet's seats and springs. "And you? Why all the flowers?"
Amari chuckled, the rustling of cellophane wrapper accompanying his laughter.
"I suppose it's the same as you. I just like them. And It's nice to cheer people up with flowers."
"That's very noble of you."
"I try my best," he said, and Tazaki could practically hear the smile in his voice.
They continued like that, talking about everything and anything as they worked. Little by little, he was let in on Amari's life. He learned that Amari was five years older than him; he preferred bitter foods but had taken a liking to sweet things; he'd even taken a trip to Hawaii two years back, something he said was a memorable experience. Talking to Amari was so easy, he found, that he regretted not doing anything about it sooner. Though, he supposed, better late than never. Despite not knowing each other too long, there was a sense of comfort and bliss being with Amari.
Unfortunately, their time together had to end -- though hopefully it wouldn't be the last. Tazaki wished he could stay there and get to know Amari better, but he'd just about finished fixing the sink and for some reason, he'd agreed to be Miyoshi's model for the afternoon.
"Oh, done already?" Amari asked.
"Yep," Tazaki said, checking over the faucet once more. Setting the wrench down, he turned the handles and watched as water flowed out seamlessly with no leaks. "All done."
Whistling, Amari came over to his side.
"Quick and efficient. Maybe I should just call you over whenever we need repairs."
Tazaki nearly choked on his own saliva.
"I-I wouldn't mind at all. And free of charge, just for you."
"Well, don't I feel special~"
If his face wasn't red before, it sure was now. God, he must've looked weird. Trying to play it off, he glanced down at his watch and figured now was better than ever to pop the question. All right, he thought, go time.
But when he opened his mouth, he found that his tongue had gone dry and his words were stuck in his throat. Thankfully, Amari didn't notice, or if he didn't, he didn't comment. Nonetheless, Tazaki closed his eyes and licked his lips. Okay, now was go time.
"Just, uh, just one more thing." Tazaki spoke quickly, as if racing against his nerves. "I was wondering if --"
Before he could finish that thought, a coo interrupted him, followed by the flapping of wings. Kazuaki had flown over, though he bypassed Tazaki and went straight for Amari.
"Hey, little guy~" Amari said as Kazuaki landed on his shoulder.
"Ah, Kazuaki!" Tazaki reached for him, though Kazuaki seemed to be enjoying Amari's shoulder a lot more. "I'm really sorry."
"It's fine!" Amari waved him off. Coaxing Kazuaki off, he handed him back to Tazaki. "At least these guys weigh less than Frate; that dog'll tackle you down."
"At least there's only one of Frate." After some resistance, Kazuaki eventually climbed onto his shoulder though he seemed ready to fly off at any moment. Odd, considering Kazuaki was one of his more well-tempered birds. "These guys are practically a murder."
At that, Amari laughed and Tazaki would've joined in had he not been distracted by how wonderful it sounded.
"Anyways," Amari said. "You were saying?"
"Oh, right." Tazaki coughed. "I was wondering if --"
Kazuaki clicked his beak, hopping over to his other shoulder. That was the second interruption, and Tazaki couldn't help but wonder if something was up. Kazuaki never got this antsy for no reason. Even so, with dread creeping up in his stomach, Tazaki tried once more.
"Uh, if --"
Suddenly, Kazuaki spread his wings and good Lord, where did he think he was going? Before he could jump off his shoulder, Tazaki held him back, petting him in an attempt to calm him down. Amari stepped forward, as if to help him, but Tazaki just continued speaking.
"-- if you, uh, had those same flowers you gave me week," Tazaki said, mind scrambling to find something else to say. Perhaps, with Kazuaki acting up like this, he should just ask some other time. The mood wasn't right. At least, that was what he told himself. "My birds really liked them."
"Oh," Amari said, nodding slowly. "...Is that so? 'Liked them' is a bit of an understatement, don't you think?" he said, a teasing lilt in his tone. "But actually, now that you mention it..."
He turned around and grabbed a bouquet from the counter.
"These are for you, as a thanks for helping me," he said, handing the bouquet to Tazaki. "They're not the same flowers as last week, but your birds seem pretty crazy about them too."
Tazaki's mouth dropped, finding himself unable to speak. Though the bouquet was a bit bare due to some petals and leaves missing, the presentation made up for it. The bouquet consisted of white primroses and the gaps were filled with baby's breath. In the center were flowers he didn't recognize, though the petals peaked up like a bird's beak and were bright oranges and blues. Wrapped in clear baby blue cellophane, they were tied together with a pearl white ribbon.
"I just fixed these up from the display, if you were worried about anything."
When his senses finally came together, Tazaki took the bouquet from Amari's hand, sending those familiar waves of goosebumps throughout his body as their fingers brushed against each other. On his shoulder, Kazuaki leaned forward as if to get a glimpse of the flowers.
"Right," he said, catching his breath. "Thank you. They're very lovely."
"Glad to know I'm doing my job well."
And as Amari smiled at him, Tazaki wondered just how many bouquets he could fit in his tiny apartment.
Chin resting in his palm, Tazaki stared at the bouquet of primroses that sat in front of him. They were a contrast to the magenta zinnias he received last week, the unidentified flowers in the center the one thing the bouquets had in common (and even after some googling, he couldn't figure out what they were), but he didn't doubt that they would look good placed together. He had to admire Amari's handiwork, honestly, to be able to arrange such beautiful displays and fix up bouquets so quickly. Not to mention, the flowers he used were ones he didn't typically see at other flower shops. Speaking of which, he'd never seen these flowers on display before recently --
"Kaminaga was right." Miyoshi's voice broke his thoughts. "You're really head over heels over this guy."
"I'm sorry." Tazaki's head snapped towards Miyoshi. "But did you just say Kaminaga was right?"
"Don't move," Miyoshi said, eyes narrowing, and Tazaki did just so as he mumbled an apology. "I stand by statement though, but we're keeping that between you and me."
"How do you even know? I didn't tell you."
"Kaminaga came home one day with this idiotic grin on his face, saying something about how you were going to get lucky." Tazaki fought the urge to slam his face onto the table. "Besides, you've been staring at those flowers with this dumbstruck look."
"I-I have?"
Miyoshi turned the canvas towards him, but it might as well have been a mirror. As expected, Miyoshi captured his likeness perfectly, and that meant glassy eyes and furrowed eyebrows as he gazed at the flowers. His lips were slightly agape, too, as if sighing in reminiscence. Damn. What the hell.
"It wasn't exactly the image I had in mind, but it works." As he turned the easel back, he said, "Maybe I should add more red to your cheeks to match your blush."
Tazaki hands flew to his face, earning him a "tsk" from Miyoshi.
"Don't move."
"Sorry," he mumbled.
"Anyways, how did it go?"
"What do you mean?" Tazaki said, returning to his original position. In the very depths of his soul, he knew what Miyoshi was talking about, but he wasn't sure if he was ready for this conversation.
"You asked that Amari out, didn't you?"
"Er, no..."
Just as his paintbrush pressed against the canvas, Miyoshi paused.
"No?" He quirked an eyebrow. "Why not?"
"Because..." I got too nervous, It was too overwhelming, and Amari is literal perfection and I'm not worthy were all applicable answers, but Tazaki went with "Kazuaki interrupted me." In his defense, it wasn't false.
There it was -- Miyoshi’s face of neutral displeasure. It was amusing when Kaminaga was on the receiving end, not so much when it was him.
"That's why you didn't ask him out? Because of your pigeon?"
"My pigeons are important to me! I can't make decisions that might upset them."
"Who's in charge of your life: you or the birds?"
Silence.
"Tazaki. "
"M-Me."
"And now that we've established that, you need to do what makes you happy -- regardless of what your birds think."
"But --"
"No but's," Miyoshi said, the tone in his voice leaving no room for arguments. "It doesn't hurt to try, doesn't it?"
It certainly didn't hurt to try, but the worst possible outcomes would always pop up every time Tazaki thought about it. Strange, considering he wasn’t this much of a wreck when asking others out. Maybe he'd fallen harder for Amari than he thought, the sight of him tending to his flowers from behind Persephone's windows coming to mind. Rejection would sting for sure, and there was nothing wrong with being friends, but the idea of not seeing Amari's smile everyday hurt harder than he'd like to admit.
"Anyhow, if you're really that worried about what your birds think, I'm sure they'll warm up to him sooner or later."
"...Maybe you're right."
"Maybe?"
"Ah, my bad." He cleared his throat. "You're right."
"That's what I thought."
Next meeting, Tazaki decided he'd try asking Amari out again. That was, after he had a long talk with his pigeons.

Could you do headcanons for when the paladins ask out their crush, the reader, but are rejected?
Yes! Of course! Thank you so much for the request. This is more of a modern AU I guess? I still tried to include Coran and Allura but I didn’t know what to do with friends or no friends thing when you’re in space and you cant not be friends when you’re stuck in space.
I hope that made sense. Also this was very unnecessarily long and probably seems rushed but I tried :D
credit to @gayrussianicequeen for helping me out with the Pidge one
 Shiro
  • okay, first off, it’s very obvious Shiro is HEAD OVER HEELS for you •he’s the type of person to not even realize his feelings until later on, even then, it’ll really take him a while to actually gather up the courage to even go up to you. • he gets flowers •maybe a kit-kat bar too, or whatever your favorite candy is. •he’s quite traditional, actually.. •now, depending on where you are, he may or may not go up to you. Garrison? Eh, maybe, is it the end of the day and you’re just leaving? Hell yeah why not. •if it were that case, he’d probably do his best to keep the flowers perfect, and you would ask about them all day only for him to avoid the question and change the subject as well. •he’d pull the flowers out and some random candy or stuffed bear, start explaining himself and his feelings toward you, and top it off with a lovely but awkwardly cute smile, extreme blushing, and then shoving his face into the flowers and exhaling. •now, depending on your answer, whether you’d like to stay friends or not, either way, he’d be heartbroken. •if you want to stay friends ; I feel that he would be a lot less heartbroken, but it would be very difficult, because, I mean he likes you and finds you attractive so seeing you everyday after you reject him is soooooooo awkward especially for him. •if you find that it’s awkward too, and don’t want to stay friends ; he’d be super devastated, would most likely go home and sulk while watching comedies and horror movies to keep his mind off of it. •doesn’t work tho because he watched It Follows and now he thinks someone’s after him and doesn’t sleep and ends up thinking about you. Oops?
 Lance
•why would you even say no honestly •jk anyway •so, knowing Lance and the way he is there would a LOT of build up toward the official confession. •puns about how beautiful/handsome you are, how amazing you look today even though you didn’t even brush your hair and was up until 3 •pick-up lines toward the end of the day. •he’d probably drive you somewhere (I hope he has a license) like a small shop down the street from yours or his house. •buy you some candy and a slushee (if ya like them) •will definitely without a doubt have his arm around your shoulder 99.9999998% of the time so just, let’s hope you’re comfortable with that. •when it actually comes to asking you out he’ll stutter and then blurt the rest of it out with his eyes shut so tight. •when you say no prepare to feel extremely guilty because instead of looking sad about it he does that thing where he tries to act all cool about it but he’s just… •"no, no really it’s fine. here I can drive you home if you want. no really, it’s fine don’t worry. it’s my fault really so sorry to make you uncomfortable.“ •probably doesn’t answer any text messages from you or anyone else. •he does hope to stay friends but wouldn’t mind if you didn’t, he thinks it’s understandable but would still beat himself up over it.
 Keith
•once again why would you say no you’re lucky this kid even likes you a little bit I feel like he’ll yell at inanimate objects if he stubbed his toe or smthn •but anyway. •Keith is very attracted to you whether it’s because you’re nice, or you seem to look great no matter what you do •like Shiro he keeps it simple and traditional and wouldn’t want to go all out because he’s afraid to be rejected (foreshadowing bye) in the end when he planned something so nice •definitely got you starbursts or sour patch kids and if you don’t like them he’ll just put them away and get on with it •he totally eats them later on k bye •definitely got like one carnation. •when he finally asks you he stutters but once it’s out he seems way too calm, like a lot calmer than you thought •once he hears the no come from your mouth he just shuts down and says ‘oh, oh ok’ •seems kinda pissed in your eyes but he’s mostly angry at himself if anything. will definitely get up and apologize and then nod and walk off. •please apologize to the boy at least, he’s very sensitive when it comes to opening up and I feel like after that he would be WAYYY too hesitant when it comes to opening up to people especially when he feels attracted to them
 Hunk
•please don’t say no pleasepleSeplaesse •he’s so wholesome and pure and lovely how •now hunk being that way is sometimes a disadvantage, being too kind at times can get you killed. well not necessarily killed but it can cause trouble, especially if it’s the naive kind. •though Hunk is very smart, so I doubt he would be clueless about anything. •I do feel that Lance would probably be way too encouraging and say stuff like , “Hunk, buddy pal friendo, quit your worrying! They definitely like you, who wouldn’t! You’re a great person….” and blah blah blah •Eventually goes up to you with some sort of food in his hands, most likely your favorite or one that triggers happy memories between you and him, and/or the paladins +Coran and Allura •Pops the question, definitely looks dead inside •literally has no expression and are, are his eyes,,, crossing? •quite unfocused so when you finally and hopefully politely turn him down, you think he didn’t hear you. •say his name a couple times and that’s when you realize that he did in fact hear you and he’s kind of just processing the information •definitely just goes oMo and then falls to his knees and begs for your forgiveness •"oh my gosh Y/n I am so sorry I made it awkward I didn’t mean it I just care for you and all that and I still wanna be friends please oh gosh I ruined our friendship” •please tell him it’s ok and then pat his back and take him to a movie or home or whatever just help the poor boy he’s too sweet oh gosh •take him to the carnival or arcade to cheer him up if you stay friends which is most likely because Hunk is too nice.
 Pidge
•asked Lance for advice on how to do it •immediate regret •then went to ask Coran, but kinda just clapped her hands together, stared into space, and turned around after she thought about a possible 7-day lecture on asking people out •Went straight to Shiro and Allura and they gave the best advice out of everyone except Allura started talking about stuff from Altea and dating in Altea and just paused and ran lolol •took most of their advice, which was to just get straight to the point and maybe get them something •got them something she made herself (she definitely made you a knockoff GameCube which actually was way better than the original somehow) •she was flustered but it didn’t exactly seem like it because she wasn’t stuttering but her face was so goddamn red man •kinda just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ after she says it •right when hears the word no, that word never leaves her head for the next week or maybe even two •if you stay friends she’s definitely happy and won’t even mind if she still has feelings for you, she’s just glad that you two can still hang out together •if you don’t want to stay friends she just awkwardly laughs and when she’s going to leave she apologizes and lets you keep what she made for you (no buts or ifs she insists you keep it) •definitely needs to let out some type of steam so she probably just roasts everyone if they bother her peace and quiet times.

The Star in the SKY - Chapter 6
A Yoosung x Saeran College AU (You can read this on AO3 here)
CH 1 | Ch 2 | Ch 3 | Ch 4 | Ch 5 | Ch 7
I'm staring at the paper in front of me, pleasantly surprised at the grade. “A Study In How Floor Patterns Can Affect How People Walk” managed to somehow garner nearly top marks, despite how sure I was that it would be a disaster.
After he stormed out on me in class, I kinda gave up on working together with Saeran. I dutifully laid out the plans, resigned myself to compiling the data alone and then had him write about half of the paper. Since the main part was split into fourths, that wasn't all too difficult to divvy up and I was impressed with how much content he'd actually returned to me. Regardless, I hadn't bothered reading through it - I just didn't have the energy or drive to fix any errors if I found them - and had simply slapped the paper together and pulled together sorry excuses for the opening and closing paragraphs. I had expected a mediocre grade at best.
It's a nice way to start out the class, especially considering the topic I have decided upon for my solo paper; I'm going to look into why identical twins can grow up in the same environment yet still be so different. There may be a little personal interest in it… fine, a lot. It'll be a good topic, though! There's tons of research out there, plus I happen to have two friends- err, one friend and one… something - that qualify as identical twins, so I can sneak in a personal interview too.
That is, assuming I can get either of them to talk to me about it. Saeran seems less closed off about the past than Seven, but he’s made it fairly clear that he has no desire whatsoever to be near me. Seven will probably agree to the interview but be irritatingly vague, as usual. Oh well, at least it’ll count as a source even if I don’t get usable material and hey, I could be surprised, right? Probably not, but I’m going to try to be optimistic about this one.
The professor claps to get our attention, starting right into the lecture. Instead of listening, I pull out my phone and set it on my lap, flipping it open to shoot a quick text to Seven.
Me [12:50] Hey Seven ^^ Got a question for you!
I’m about to put it away when it buzzes softly; I should’ve known he’d respond immediately, he pretty much always does. Even in school.
Seven [12:51] wassuuuuuuup, homie? Lolol
Me [12:52] I was wondering if you’d be willing to let me interview you for class?
Me [12:54] You and uh… Saeran.
Seven [12:55] lolol
Seven [12:55] I can’t speak for brother dearest, u know that.
Me [12:57] I know, but… he won’t tlak to me adn I figurde he might sya yes if you ask
Seven [12:58] I’m sorry, I couldn’t read that with all the typos, could you send it again?
Me [12:59] Seven;;; please be serious
Seven [12:59] I’m always serious
Seven [13:00] are u really that scared of him?
I pause; am I scared of him? No, that’s not the right word. I don’t find him frightening or anything, but I’m not really in a hurry to approach him to ask for anything, either. He obviously doesn’t like me and I get this weird… feeling in my stomach when he says that. Kind of like dread, but that doesn’t make sense. Why would I feel dread over him saying he doesn’t like me?
Seven [13:03] Earth to Yoosungie, are you still there?
Me [13:04] I’m not scared of him, he doesn’t like me
Me [13:05] I don’t think he’d say yes if I ask. T_T
Seven [13:06] ...u think he doesn’t like you?
Me [13:07] yeah?
Me [13:10] I mean, he’s outright said that he doesn’t so why would I doubt that?
Me [13:15] Seven?
Seven [13:19] sorry, got busy
Seven [13:19] yah, I can ask for u, do u have a time you want to do this?
Me [13:21] the paper isn’t due for weeks yet, but soon?
Me [13:23] I just want to make sure I have plenty of time to get ready and then I can ask follow-up questions if needed?
Seven [13:25] ya
Seven [13:25] I’ll ask him later and let you know
Me [13:26] Thanks!
Seven [13:27] Anything for my cutie pie
Slumping in my seat in relief, I slip my phone into my pocket and smile absentmindedly at the notebook in front of me. That went pretty well, all things considered. Not that I expected Seven to turn me down, but it wasn't outside of the realm of possibility. Hopefully he'll be able to convince Saeran to talk to me, too; the interview will be useless if I can't talk to both of them. I doodle some stars on the side of the paper, not even bothering to take any notes during the remainder of the class. I’ll have to see if someone will loan me theirs later; at this point, there’s really no reason to start. I’ve missed too much already.
When it’s finally over, I take my time putting my stuff away. My next class is cancelled, so I plan to go to the library and start looking up things for my paper. It’s nice not having to rush for once, and the room in nearly empty by the time I stand up and sling my bag over my shoulder. I’m about to start heading toward the door when the sound of a throat being cleared behind me gives me pause. Turning around, I see Saeran standing there, looking at the ground and for once I’m glad that’s the case. I can tell I am doing a poor job of concealing my shock despite how much I’m wrestling with my face, and that fact is causing heat to flood my face in embarrassment.
I hate how easily I blush.
“Hi, Saeran. Um… did you need something?” Upon closer inspection, I see that he is holding his copy of our paper, clutching it with both hands tight enough that the paper is wrinkling between his fingers. Is he not happy with the grade? I shift uneasily, my arms tense at my sides as I nervously tap my fingers against my legs. Scrunching my mouth to the side, I dip my brows in concern and hope that I didn't somehow mess things up even more between us.
He ducks his head a bit, shaking his red hair into his eyes, giving him a fringe to look through when he finally makes eye contact with me. The paper crunches a little in his grip and he leans a little to the left, placing his weight mostly on that foot. "I just wanted to say thanks. For how hard you worked on the paper, and-" A sigh and then he brings his hand up to swipe the hair aside, eyelids fluttering closed as he takes a large breath and releases it slowly. Blinking his eyes back open, he stands up straighter and seems to steel himself for whatever he's about to say. "I'm sorry for being such an asshole, Yoosung. You didn't deserve any of that, and I- I'm sorry."
Whoa, I didn't see that coming. "O-oh, it's okay!" I say, unable to help the smile crossing my face. "I forgive you." People often tell me that I'm too quick to forgive but looking at the relief that crosses his face, I don't know if I believe what they say is true. Honestly, I find the very act in itself incredibly freeing, and it helps me bounce back to my cheerful mood that I like to be in. Chewing on my lip a bit, I keep smiling at him, bouncing a bit on the balls of my feet out of excitement. If he is doing this, if he is apologizing, then maybe there is hope for a friendship between us yet?
Silence descends between us quickly, and I can sense the awkwardness emanating from him. I'm not sure how to make it more comfortable but I think maybe I can at least give it a shot. "So... how is school going for you? You're an art major, right?" The two pictures of me he's drawn immediately pop to the forefront of my mind, but I try to push them back; there's no way I'm asking about those anytime soon. Honestly, I'll probably never ask about those. For some reason I can't seem to identify, it feels like I glimpsed something meant to be private when I saw them.
"Yeah." The answer is short, but it's lacking the coldness that I've become used to hearing from him. He narrows his eyes at me a moment before sliding his bag off of his shoulder and unzipping it, shoving the paper in and pulling out a folder. Mint eyes linger on the black cover for a few moments before he offers it to me, his gaze back on the floor. "Here. I, um. I thought of you when-well. You'll see. Anyway, h-have a good rest of your day." As soon as I accept it, he shuts the bag and turns to leave, one hand going up to ruffle his hair. Confused, I blink down at the folder a moment before realizing something.
"W-wait!" I call out, hurrying forward to try to catch him, but he's already almost out the door. When he turns back, I falter a bit in my steps when his eyes meet mine; there's an intensity and warmness to them that I've never seen there before, and is that the beginning of a blush on his cheeks? "I-I, uhm. I sorta zoned out today and missed most of the lecture," I start, running my hand over the back of my neck and smiling at him sheepishly. Eyebrows furrowing, he tilts his head to the side as he waits for me to continue. "Is there any chance that I can, uh, borrow your notes to copy?"
The air between us is suddenly heavy, and I can't help but feel like this is a crossroads in our relationship, that the answer he gives me is going to be indicative of the path we travel on from here. I'm clasping my hands together in front of me, one of my thumbs rubbing over the other as I wait for what seems like eons for an answer. The ghost of a smile flickers across his face suddenly and he nods, one again grabbing his bag and reaching in, this time pulling out a notebook and opening it to rip out a couple of pages. My grin stretches to the point of taking up most of my lower face and I reach out to take them, shivering when my fingers brush against his. Retracting his hand as though the touch burned, his face turns a little pinker than before and he mumbles something about returning them at the next class before rushing away, disappearing down the hallway.
Shrugging off my own bag so that I can put both the notes and the folder in it, I wonder for a moment what it was about that small touch that caused my heart to start racing. It makes no sense to me, unless it's just because we've never really touched before? Whatever. I stare for a moment at the folder before quickly exiting the room completely, leaning against the hallway wall. He'd said he'd thought of me in some way in connection to what is inside; there's no way I can't look, I'm too curious. So I open it, my eyes widening and letting out an awed breath at what I see.
It's a painting of the night sky, vivid in its use of color and absolutely breathtaking to see. There's a gorgeous shooting star crossing in the middle, and I run a finger over it, marveling at the contrast it casts against the dark background and the other stars. It's just so beautiful, and he thought of me when he saw it? Or wait... there's some initials on the bottom, I think. I peer at them, gasping when I make out what I think is "S.C."; can it be? Flipping it over, I see a short note on the back:

Dream Come True (Ch. 3) | Zen/Hyun Ryu x Reader
RATING: Teen | GENRE: Angst/Drama/Action SUMMARY: Zen has a prophetic dream of you dying, and he will do anything to make sure it doesn't happen.
[PREVIOUS] • • [START FROM PROLOGUE]
Yoosung let out a satisfied sigh as he stretched his arms over his head, leaning back in his chair so that he could stretch out his legs underneath his computer table as well. The young blond had already been awake since early morning, making sure to set up multiple alarms just to make sure he woke up in time to make good use of his time in LOLOL for the campaign event. Being free-to-play was a lot of hard work and required lots of determination, patience, and tenacity. Yoosung liked to believe that he posessed all those qualities; otherwise, how else could he have gotten this far in the game. He felt a certain sense of pride.
Just as the blond was about to bring his hands back on his keyboard and mouse, the screen of his phone that lay just beside him lit up. Curious, he picked it up, eyes lighting up as he read a text message that you had sent him: "Hey! I have a day off today, and since I have nothing else to do while Zen's at work, I was wondering if I could come over and game together?"
Yoosung excitedly sent you his response: "Hiya! Yeah, that sounds fun! Come over!"
As soon as you received permission from the male, you grinned. You figured it would be rude manners to just show up to the student's house uninvited, so you felt relieved when Yoosung said it was okay for you to visit him since you had already prepared yourself to head out. Heading to the shared bedroom, you picked up your bag and went to place your laptop, headset, and other necessary items inside it so that both you and Yoosung could enjoy gaming at the same time.
Nodding in satisfaction after making sure that you got everything and was fully prepared, you slung your bag over your shoulder, letting out a small grunt from the weight of the laptop. You shut the door behind you, locking it with your key before turning on your heel to start walking towards Yoosung's place. Ever since your first successful RFA party as a host, you had managed to become even closer to the other members, often visiting their houses that you could easily find your way to them with your eyes closed.
As you walked through the streets with a slight bounce in your steps, you couldn't help but appreciate the nice weather. It wasn't too cold nor was it too hot, a gentle breeze blowing every once in a while to carress your cheeks. It's been a while since the weather's been this nice; you almost felt like it would be such a waste to spend it inside just playing games, but you'd much prefer another person's company than to enjoy the weather alone.
"Oh," you let out a small exclamation when you saw a promational poster with a model you were very familiar with. Giggling to yourself, you discreetly took a picture of it, opening up your contacts and going straight to Zen's information.
"Heading to Yoosung's place and omg, just look at this handsome fellow I came across"
You put your phone away and resumed your journey, but only after a few steps did your phone vibrate to life. Quickly, you took it out, expression softening at the actor's text: "My phone wasn't loading the picture, so I got a bit anxious there. It's a bit embarrassing having you praise my photo, haha. Stay safe and have fun at Yoosung's, alright? But not too much fun or else I'll get jealous. Love you, mwah♥"
"I will, thanks! No need to get jealous, haha. Good luck with work. Love you too! ♡♡♡"
It was honestly a bit flustering for you to send texts like that, but Zen seemed to enjoy it, so you decided to spoil him with them every once in a while. Putting your phone again, you continued heading over to Yoosung's place.
Your walk to Yoosung's was more or less pretty uneventful. You saw a few outfits and items in a couple of stores that caught your interest, and you also managed to come across a really cute dog along the way. But something felt...off. It almost felt as if somebody was watching you, but whenever you looked around your surroundings, you saw nobody suspicious. It was a nagging feeling, almost as though somebody's eyes were on you. It was nerve-wrecking, but since there was nothing that stood out to you, you tried to brush the feeling away, thinking you were just being paranoid since you've just recently come across a few scary video game and movie trailers. You're safe...right?
"[Name]! Nice to see you!" Yoosung exclaimed, giving you an enthusiastic hug when he answered the door.
"Oof—! Hello Yoosung," you greeted the blond, giving a light laugh as you steadied yourself.
The young man pulled away, scratching the back of his head as he muttered out a small and embarrassed apology. He then gestured for you to come inside, shutting the door behind you as you started heading to his room. You smiled to yourself when you saw that his game was already on. From the corner of your eyes, you could see a few papers of what looked like to be homework scattered about in another corner of the room. You were about to comment on it but decided against it; you didn't want to start of your time together with a lecture.
"It's been a while since you've last logged into LOLOL," Yoosung comments as he goes to take a seat in front of his computer while you gently place your bag down and take out your laptop, powering it on. "You've missed some really cool events and campaigns, plus the guild really misses you!"
You laugh, opening up LOLOL and waited for the game to load on the screen, "Yeah, sorry about that. Zen's been busy with work, as have I, so I haven't been able to find much time to log in."
Yoosung hums in understanding, and you finish setting up, putting on your headset while Yoosung's put his own respective headset on himself. The minute you log in, you're greeted by the enthusiastic members of Yoosung's guild. At some point in the past, you had wanted to try LOLOL, and Yoosung was more than happy to help teach your way through. He invited you to your guild, and everybody was extremely welcoming and friendly. After exchanging the usual pleasantries, you all started going through several quests.
"I need healing!"
As one of the main healers in this unique group of players, you groaned and rolled your eyes, "I am not wasting my MP or potions for that, Apollo. You're fine—oh shit, Pluto! Fall back, fall back, fall back! Fall back so I could heal you—!!"
After a few more hours of both you and Yoosung yelling into your headsets with the occassional bursts of laughter, you had grown tired and excused yourself from the game. The blond student followed soon afterwards, wanting to be a good host to his guest. Slowly, you stood up and stretched. It was a bad idea to stay sitting in your previous position for a long time, and you made a mental note to never do it again. Gingerly, you rubbed your throat, sore from all the shouting. Hopefully Yoosung's neighbours wouldn't mind.
"Hey, Yoosung? Can I have a glass of water?" you asked.
"Sure thing, let me get it," Yoosung stood up from his seat as well.
You waved your hands in front of you in a dismissive manner, "Oh, I can get it myself—"
That's what you said, but Yoosung was already heading towards the kitchen. Just then, you felt your phone vibrate from a new text message. It was from Zen. He sent you one of his selfies, a stupid grin on his face, holding one of his hands in the shape of half a heart and positioned it so that it was on the edge of the photo. Along with the photo was a text telling you to "complete the heart" and asking how you were doing with Yoosung. Feeling slightly embarrassed, you sent a selfie with your half of the heart and telling him that you were well and having fun. Just then, Yoosung returned to the room with the glass of water you asked for. You placed your phone down on Yoosung's computer table so that you could free your hands to take the glass.
"Is that Zen?" he asked, amusement laced in his tone.
"Yeah, thanks," you nodded as you thanked him for the water, taking a generous gulp.
Yoosung laughed, "I knew it. You only have that face when it comes to Zen."
"Do I?"
"You do!"
You let out a thoughtful hum, tilting your head to the side. "Huh, I guess I do... Speaking of Zen...I'm a bit worried, actually."
"Why?" It was Yoosung's turn this time to tilt his head to the side, curious.
You breathed out a sigh, thinking it should be fine to voice out your thoughts towards the male, "He's not telling me something. He had a bad dream last night, and I can tell it's affecting him, but he won't let me in. Well, I mean, he did say he'll tell me later tonight when he comes home from work, but I'm a bit scared. What if it's something I can't help with?"
"Hmmm," the student hummed to himself, crossing his arms over his chest, deep in thought. "Well, even if it's not something you can help with, I think it should be fine as long as you can give him your support and care."
You considered Yoosung's words and smiled at his advice, "Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks." The young man grinned, feeling a certain sense of pride. You then looked at the time and realized just how late it's gotten. "Oh, I should start heading home now." Time really flew by while having fun. You started cleaning up after yourself, putting your laptop and headset back into your bag. Once you were all set, you started heading towards the door, the student following right behind you. "Thanks for having me over, Yoosung."
"You should come over again soon!" Yoosung beamed, and you laughed.
"Maybe!"
After a few more words of farewell, you finally started on your way back home. The streets weren't as bustling as they were in the morning, but there were still a few people walking around, their forms illuminated by the setting sun. Your mind wandered back to the events of the day. Even if you didn't really do much, you still thoroughly enjoyed yourself. While walking, you remembered that nervous feeling you got in the morning as though somebody was watching you. Thankfully, that feeling did not return.
However, the apprehension you felt from that reminded you that you haven't texted Zen yet. You figured you should probably text him, telling him you were heading back home just to give him a sense of security of knowing where you were. Your hand went to fish through your pocket where you usually kept your phone, and you frowned when all you grasped was air. You checked your other pockets; your phone was nowhere to be found. You tried to remember the last place you put your phone, and you mentally slapped yourself. You had left your phone back at Yoosung's house.
Groaning to yourself, you debated as to whether or not you should go back to Yoosung's place to get your phone. You were already halfway home, plus it was already getting late. You had no other way of contacting Zen, and you weren't sure if he was done with his work yet. Heaving a sigh and muttering a small curse under your breath, you started walking.
