Happy Anniversary to Jenny + Jonathan! I can still remember this time last year and how great we all felt 2020 was going to be!! It wasn’t the best but definitely one to remember! I think if I’d learned anything from last year, it would life will never go according to plan but that there is reason for everything in the greater scheme of it all. 2020 shed so much light on things that were being overlooked and so many lessons were learned, there was lots of time for self reflecting and growth, and I don’t know about you all but for me — things slowed down just enough for me that I was able to put things from my back burner into the oven! Oh 2020. What a year. I pretty much did nothing. I followed all the quarantine rules and besides for the grocery store, pharmacy trips and doctors appointments, I haven’t left the house. If I do leave, the mask goes on. Everything shut down 2 days before my 30th birthday. So since 2020 was the way that is was here is the list of things that went well for me this year... -I have not gotten Covid even though I was exposed so I am very grateful for that. -JP and I quarantined together and did not break up or kill each other 😂 so I feel like we can really just handle anything at this point. -Speaking of my wonderful man, we picked a tentative year for our wedding! (It’s tentative because we don’t know how long Covid is truly going to go on for and weddings costs money! And we’re having a nice one. So it’s just save save save! 💰) -I have flaming red asshole hair! I dyed my hair red. And that’s been fun. 🤣 -My hair is also getting really long which I’ve been growing out for years so I’m very excited. -On a more serious note, I’ve been in individual and group therapy all year. I actually started in 2019 but I’ve continued going even through this whole mess. -I had a good chunk of family members and friends get Covid but they are all still here!!! -And lastly, my best friend got engaged! We get to be engaged at the same time and talk about all the wedding things! It’s so fun! I’m glad to have made it through the year the best I possibly could. It becoming 2021 doesn’t magically make the bad go away but at least things should be heading in a better direction.
