I, uh, m-made something f-for you.

Know that I'm totally embarrassing my ass over here, so... Don't laugh loud enough that I can hear you from over here!

Aaaaaand now, per Lyndis tradition, I'm gonna overexplain shits and turn a simple Ask into a whole ass Ramble!

If you're short-sighted, try removing your glasses or contact lenses and look at this picture. I just did and it's suddenly even prettier!

I actually planned to draw your Sonicsona at first. And then I realized I deadass couldn't even draw Base Sonic. Then I thought I should draw a mole. I realized I also couldn't draw a mole. I thought I should just go for the easiest shit and draw ToFu. I realized I could not draw either one of them, too.

Because I cannot draw, I cheat! I mean I turn things into shapes (chiefly triangles, though not all of them) and then color them and hope that something shows up. This is me using this scientific /+ philosophical concept called Emergence.

No, I didn't just say THAT to sound like I have a technique of any kind, trust. It's so totally a technique—my very productive ass told me.

I remember you saying your favorite color is something like pink, blue, and stuff? It was from that tag game from last year. Hence, I decided I should create a context so I could draw an obscene amount of pink and blue.

If I'm being honest, it took me less than a millisecond to come up with the exact context—Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom is abundantly blue.

And since I always wanted to sneak ToFu in, I thought I would make a purplish-pink dusk. And then I will sneak those stargazing two in.

Come on. Everyone knows those ToFu panels. Even someone like me, who had not seen that part of the manga yet, knows.

Bless Tonari for being so relaxing to color.

HOWEVER! Fushi's limited-ass color presented a big problem for my cheat-drawing. How many combinations of "white" can you even make before you zoom out and see... nothing?! So I basically sabotaged them. That's what you get for being difficult, you mopey, neck-crick-possessing, fragile-enough-to-be-blown-by-the-wind cutie doofus.

I made up the color of their pants. I didn't even refer to their Nameless Boy drip when I decided on the color. I assed that part.

Yes. I admit I put a shit ton of effort into coloring Zelda. This version of Zelda is my kin, you know. Anyway, I like the way her, uh, shirt turned out.

I also like how the Master Sword turned out, but there was so much blue I ended up requiring outlines to distinguish it from Link's shirt and the sky. Told ya I have no technique or skill. I cheat through and through

I was too lazy to draw those sky islands. Besides, the ToTK side is already saturated with details.

What the fuck issa "proportion?" Everyone's head is an orange. The difference, Nova, is whether it's a Mandarin Orange or an Orange.

I don't know if I overdid Dinraal's draconic mane. It looks like she's wearing a wig. At least she is different from how she initially looked—a red tapeworm outfitted with chicken legs.

I admit I put more effort than any Past Me would have into Dinraal because a certain mutual is very, ah, particular about dragons.

Drawing two of your favorite ships for their show of devotion was a completely deliberative choice on my end. Did you also realize that both Link and Fushi had a short, small, low ponytail and that both Zelda and Tonari had similar hair? I believe it's due to me hitting my drawing skill limitation.

There is actually an Easter Egg of some sort in this picture. It's not the ugly doodle thing, no. That thing is me. I'm not an Easter Egg; I'm a ghost.

I'm not telling you what that Easter Egg is. I'm fine with it never being discovered; it'd be like those secret levels in old video games.

But if you DID discover it, come tell me what you think it is!

I want this made into stained glass I want to make this the permanent window to me bed roOM LYN THIS IS AMAZING THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY GOING DOWN AS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ART STYLES!!!! There’s no such thing as cheating in art, it’s all art!!! “Cheating” is a style, no technique is a style!!! I should know I have none either, hehe -w-‘ your art may be some type of cubism? Hehe idk I’m not an art student :3 Either way this is absolutely gorgeous I’m in LOVE!!!

It’s so creative and well done and I LOVE your eye for detail, the lighting is inspired!!!! Like the way the sun hits the space behind Zelda is so pretty, AND ZELDA IS SO PRETTY!!!!!! EVERYRHING IS SO PRETTY, I CANT FOCUS ON ONE THING BECAUSE I KEEP JUMPING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN ALL THE THINGS I LOVE ABOUT IT (every thing, every last detail!!! Is that a little you in the middle? I should slow down maybe and pick a few things to focus on BUT I JUST CANT I LOVE IT ALL!!!! The two scenes just blend so well into one another that my eyes are just naturally being drawn back and forth between both of the scenery! Dinraal, who turned out AMAZIING BY THE WAY, ABSOLUTELY NOT OVERDONE, if anything I’m so glad you had fun working on her!!! She’s so gorgeous!!!! I bet your friend is so so proud of how well she looks!!! Oh but anyway, Dinraal naturally leads my eyes over to the sun/moon (and the 24, hehe, thank you!!! /)//(\ Your memory is astounding!!), which have their own beautiful rays of light leading down onto the adorable couples 😭 I love love LOVE the moonlight leading down onto Tonari and Fushi, and the fact that she’s pointing at it too like she can almost reach it? Beautiful! Gorgeous!!! And it just leads my eyes down to them too, there’s just such a natural circular flow here, no wonder I keep getting caught in a loop of admiration! 😁

The blues and the pinks, and the stars on the ToFu side!!! I just noticed them and they’re everything to me!!!! Hahaha I’m so glad Tonari was relaxing to color hehe, same for me, something about her is just so lovely and calming when she’s relaxed 🥰 As for Fushi’s colors, I didn’t notice! Even after you pointed it out it looks good to me! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ this is from someone who never references colors though, I’m so loosey goosey about everything -w- BUT YOUR SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM WAS GREAT, THEIR SHAPE IS VERY VISIBLE AND EASY TO MAKE OUT hehe :3 I love their crossed little legs 🥰

Zelda being your kin is so good to know hehe, I’ve always been drawn to all versions of Link myself! I think we’ve been perfectly set up to “play dolls��� with these characters in the future, so to speak! Aaaahh they can’t have been easy to draw, there’s a reason I almost never dabble in drawing those two and their intricate outfits, but you make it look effortless!!! Zelda’s shirt turned out amazing, and I’m stuck looking at her little triangle braids!!!! I don’t know why I’m so fixated on that it’s just adorable!!! 😭💕 What a lovely technique, man, I’m so enchanted! AND THE MASTER SWORD, I know you called it cheating BUT I LOVE THE LINE WORK, it makes the sword stand out, almost like you lined that specific part with some sort of melted gold??? Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!

[han/chan/felix] being able to finally see you after a long concert. he comes hoke and rushes to you, hugging you and kissing you literally everywhere and being extra cuddly.. 😔😔😔

i feel like chan would come home really late from the concert and you would already be fast asleep in your shared bed. he would sigh loudly, feeling quite defeated after he couldnt even say good night to you that evening, so he would simply plop himself on the bed and hug you tightly from behind. the action would stirr you awake and you would immediately snuggle into chan, basking in his warmth and he would smile to himself, whispering the tiniest good night before falling asleep himself.

jisung would come home quite early, feeling incredibly exhausted and would immediately look for you only to find you sitting in the living room, random show in the background, as you would wait for him. when you would notice he’s home, you would get up and rush to hug him tightly and he would wrap his arms lazily around your waist, hiding his face in the crook of your neck and he would whisper soft i missed you and you would kiss him in response, silently letting him know that you missed him too.

felix would literally drown you in his love, placing lots of little kisses all around your face and body. you would be so surprised, because how in the hell does he have so much energy after such an exhausting concert? he would tell you a bit about the show, recalling the memories, but he would grow really tired really fast and in a blink of an eye he would snuggle into your side, eyes droopy and you would coo at him, letting him cling to you as he would drift to sleep, mumbling a small i love you as you would softlt trace his features.

i kind of broke it into three separate headcanons, i hope you dont mind💔

Lilith's name is actually "Lililyn" (Lily-lyn) to keep the 'lyn' name the female Clawthornes seem to share.

I only outline the big ones. Like my rewrite of my split-cure au. The only other thing I have outlined is season 2 of Accidentally An Aunt which is almost done. All of my other fics have been impulse created.

Sometimes it's both. I'll write things for friends (See the Puzzle Pieces Au I made for my darling friend Sorascribbles) Other times it's mostly for me so I can know peace after writing down an idea.

Today is 4-24-2024

Before I ozzz up in my bed. I wanted to remind mayself that I can do better and I will do better.

Yesterday, I was reminded of "It wil be okay someday" a quote I posted on my story from 5 years ago. I am trying to contemplate what situation could I have been in that moment to put those word.

Lastly has been a tiring and lonely moments for the past few days. I have been disappointed in myself for not excelling in my academics and bearly surviving. I am emotionally drained that I can't even vent out to my family as I don't want to burden them from it. I am not suicidal atm and will never be. However, who knows? right.

Weeks ago, I realized how my mom is especially she's in this stage where she gives her "habilins". As she said, we don't know how life will be. At that moment I wanted to cry but I can't. I don't want her to see me weak because I know that I am her source of strength. I am strong that is what I have been showing to everyone especially in times like this. But sometimes I am not.

To be honest, I am afraid of my emotions. I am afraid to let someone I love them because it feels like I am more closer to lost them if I said so. But at moment, I don't want to also lost the chance to make them feel that I care and love them.

From time to time I am so having relapse that I would just cry myself to sleep. If I have to reflect and think. I always blame myself for all of this. That if only I could rewind time, I would go back and relive all the happy memories and then keep to my heart. Before I could turn things out not to turn it to this. Like if only, I can have the chance, maybe I wanted to see what life could have been if my parents didn't meet o that day or if they didn't meet at all. Could their own lives has became better? A funny thought that I always have as growing up as a kid as I never knew how my parents meet and on how they started to become lovers.

But then, here we are and we can never change what happens on the past. All I can do is to just live each day with what I have now. Life is never easy. But I hope one day it will all be bearable and worth it to live with.

To future Jarra Lyn D. Obar, RMT remember. It will be okay someday. And I am excited for you to finally see that someday turn to this day, or today💕

also fun fact but i started writing answers and extra information into all my textbooks because of harry potter halfblood prince ahaha. 🥹🥹because i was like 'omg thats so cool imagine receiving a book from a student that wrote a bunch of extra stuff down so u can flex in class'. thats the reason why i dont have any study notes left from middle school and only some from high school. it's because i made it into a habit. even now in university i do it, although i spare the library books because theyre usually really old. itsif my textbooks are still passed down in middle school may whoever has them now pass all their exams with an 1++, oh, and youre welcome <33 💞🥰💞💕

OKAYOKAY okay. What about one where the fem ! Reader was with Helena and Leon but was captured by Simmons men and gets infected with the c-virus, but when Simmons tries to get her to attack Leon, Helena, Sherry, and Jake, the reader cant do it. Simmons gets mad, but reader confesses 👉👈🥺

Shiiiiit Lyn out here pulling heart strings now cause the thought of distraught/sad re6 Leon is a thought I don't want 😭

Also, this one really took some time to think about and write but I don't know why. I just suddenly hit a dry spell. Meaning, forewarning, this whole thing may suck ass 🥹

In hindsight- splitting up was the worst, and most likely the last, mistake you ever made. Not like you knew that in the moment though. Otherwise you would've stopped it from happening. But there was just no way of knowing, until they blindsided you. As you're wrestled and restrained, it didn't take a genius to know who had captured you the moment you heard his sneering tone.

"Ah, Miss L/N. Perfect timing as usual my dear. I was hoping you could help tip the scales back in my favor." Simmons muses before settling his gaze on you with a hateful smirk, "You don't mind, do you?"

Of course he doesn't give you a chance to answer or decline as the obvious point of a needle goes into your arm. You put up one hell of a fight, there's no denying that.

But sometimes one's best isn't always enough.

Now, as your head felt like it was engulfed in flames and close to bursting, memories seemed more difficult to latch onto. But you didn't want to forget him. You just gotta try harder.

Who is he...?

All your intensely bloodshot, deranged eyes can see is carnage. And four victims you can lay waste to right now. As soon as one of them asks about the president's fate, Simmons triumphantly replies. "Well, we have Leon to thank for that. Suppose it's only fitting he kill his partner while he's at it."

Just before the group could let those words sink in, however, Simmons gives the signal. Causing you to drop down from your hiding spot and destroy. Your mouth gapes open to let out a gutteral hiss, ready to pounce at the four guns aimed at you. Or rather three.

The blonde male seemed to be having trouble, as if his gun suddenly weighed far too much for him to hold it at you, the trigger impossible to pull. His breathing remained quiet but your enhanced hearing could pick up that it was heavier, like his chest was full of rocks. His eyes seemed to try and silently convey something to you, but overall he appeared as if he'd rather you just kill him.

You would've taken that chance, if the sight of him didn't spark something in your broken psyche. Like peering through a stained glass window, or a kaleidescope. Shards of memory with him prominently come forth and stick out so drastically, you were starting to get a headache. It left one thing for certain though- now the thought of harming him made your heart feel too heavy.

Simmons' voice rings out with rage when he finds you slowly backing out of your attack position to just stand there, demanding you to do as your told and rip them limb from limb. "I..." You start, shoulders slumping a little in defeat. "I can't."

It's at this point Simmons has become livid. Not that you care any, you can only let your vision become bleary with unshed tears as you smile at... Leon.

"I just remembered I love him too much."

Any other time, you would've laughed at the blonde's reaction. A look of sheer surprise on his face, but also a quiet sigh of relief and a happier smile to match. Now that really sends the madman behind you off the deep end, "This is pathetic, shoot them all! Now!" You immediately let out a pained yelp when those words reach your ears, followed by a few bullets. Luckily, they grazed you but some did land pretty hard. Even more lucky though, a pair of very strong arms come to wrap around your waist and pull you behind a protective wall of crates.

You don't need to look back to know who's holding you tight against his chest, and you're grateful for it considering you can't put any weight on your right leg at the moment. "You ok?" Leon whispers to you, his nose lightly buried in your hair to be close to your ear. And Christ above you thought for sure you'd cry. Thinking you'd never hear his voice again. "Y- Yeah." You whisper back in a shaky breath. Not daring to utter another word beyond that, knowing you'll really cave in under all the stress and emotion then.

Kinda pointless when a few tears slip anyway. All thanks to the agent squishing his cheek against yours and hugging you to him as much as he can. "Love you too, Button."

That same smile then comes back to grace his lips again when you let out a light giggle. But it seems the adorable couple moment wasn't built to last when a sudden 'ahem' grabs yours and Leon's attention. You both pause and open your eyes to view the small audience.

Helena's more or less confused, "How are you not...?"

"To be honest, I have no idea." You confess while letting go of Leon's forearms to inspect your hands. They appeared charred, or as if you stuck your hands in a large pile of soot. The dark color then breaks off into deep purple veins running down to your elbows. There also seemed to be the presence of... Scales(?) trying to peek out from under your skin. You have no idea but thanks, you hate it. "But my best guess would be that I think I managed to break the needle before they could give me a full dose." Sounds logical enough.

Whatever the case may be it'll have to wait until professionals check you over. Right now you're all still being shot at. Leon soon let's go of you and carefully guides you over to Sherry and Jake, who help keep you standing, while Sherry hands Leon a chip- explaining it to be very valuable information that could stop the C-virus.

That's useful.

"I'll put a call in to FOS, get you some protection. You just get her out of here." Leon explains, which you feel the need to interject. Splitting up is what literally got you into this mess. He manages to sway you though as he motions to what the virus inflicted on you, "If you make it through this-" Leon then nods to Simmons' men. "Then I'll make it through this. Deal?"

You know there's no convincing him otherwise, and it honestly scares you at first. You don't want to lose him. But yet, as his gaze holds yours, you honestly feel there's really no need to. Swimming in those ocean blues is an untameable storm that says it all.

Simmons is so fucked.

"Deal. Put a big hole in his head for me, will ya?" You ask, which Leon is more than happy to accept. "Yes ma'am." With that, he pulls out his second gun to dual wield. Unleasing that storm when his voice roars.

"NOW MOVE!"

There’s always a lot I want to read, but whether or not I have the time is another matter. Thankfully, my Goodreads challenge is going pretty good so far this year, and I’ve already dug into some reads that I’d been waiting to get to for a while. That joint with speaking to some reader friends and exchanging recommendations has really reinvigorated my reading challenges, but here’s a few novels I’d really like to finish throughout 2022: 

1 - Tian Ya Ke (Faraway Wanderers), by Priest.

I’ve read Faraway Wanderers in bits and pieces throughout last year, but I’ve not yet read it from beginning to end. I aim to change that, especially now that I’ve finished (and am currently - very slowly - rereading Qi Ye). The fact that it’s one of the novels we’re reading at Immortal Wanderers has motivated me greatly, as it’s so great to talk about the novel with such a great group of friends. @xuxunette’s translation is so lovely to read too, and I’m really enjoying reading their chapters so far. 

2 - Heaven Official’s Blessing, by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.

Thank goodness for the official English translation, as I was holding off on this novel to wait for the drama (if we’re lucky enough to see it air). In the end, I’ve since decided to buy the novels and read as they release, as I much prefer reading a physical copy rather than through a screen. I’m currently reading through the first volume and will likely start the second straight after, but there’s no way I’ll be able to finish the whole story this year simply due to the fact that not all the novels will be finished releasing by the time the years up. 

3 - Scum Villain’s Self Saving System, by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.

I’ve been wanting to read this ever since I finished watching the animation, but the translation I originally had ... wasn’t the best. However, now the official translations are out I can finally submerge myself into the absolute insanity of this story. I’m absolutely loving it so far, and cannot wait for the second volume to drop in April. This is fast becoming a much loved read for me, since it’s just so funny yet so brilliant at the same time. 

4 - Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, by Timothy Zahn.

For those that know me, you’ll know that I’m a big Star Wars fan, and I enjoy reading some of the novels. Lesser Evil is the final book in the Ascendancy trilogy, and I have yet to start it. Although this trilogy hasn’t been quite what I hoped - especially considering Thrawn is a character that has some absolutely incredible novel inclusions - I’m still determined to finish it off, especially before he shows up in the Ahsoka live action. 

5 - Daughter of the Moon Goddess, by Sue Lyn Tann.

This is part of a duology - the second novel also dropping later this year - but my god, if the premise did not sound absolutely beautiful when I first discovered this before quickly rushing to put it on preorder late last year. This novel is inspired from one of my favourite Chinese legends: that of the moon goddess Chang’e. I plan to read this after I finish up volume two of TGCF, and I am very excited about it!

6 - A Magic Steeped in Poison, by Judy I. Lin.

Yet another duology novel, this is another novel that interested me as soon as I learnt of its very existence. This book doesn’t drop until late next month, but it’s currently sitting pride of place at the top of my next up and coming book haul. 

7 - Children of DUNE, by Frank Herbert.

I know some of my followers don’t like the DUNE series, but I for one love it. And ever since the release of the new movie last year I’ve been visiting (and re-visiting) the novels. I re-read the original first novel and read DUNE Messiah - which was absolutely bizarre, and a great exploration into how Paul’s actions have actually caused more harm than good, especially to those native to Arrakis - and I plan to continue the series from Children of DUNE this year.  I know things start getting absolutely batshit insane in these novels - especially once we hit God Emperor - so I’m ... curious to see how this goes. If I can read more than CoD this year, I will, but I plan to finish at least this one novel in the series. 

8 - A Prayer for the Crown-Shy, by Becky Chambers.

Becky Chambers, take my whole heart. Her books are like a warm hug and a mug of tea, and I adore them, especially the Monk and Robot series. I read the first novel last year - A Psalm for the Wild Built - and quickly fell in love with the two main characters; so I am very excited for the next novel in their adventures! These novels follow a non-binary monk and an absolutely charming robot, who try to make sense of their place in the world. Very sweet, very slice-of-life comfort (something we all need more of these days) I honestly couldn’t recommend the first novel - and Becky Chambers novels in general - more. 

9 - The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea, by Axie Oh.

I actually only came across this novel fairly recently - just as I was purchasing my latest book haul a month or so back, actually - but as soon as I found it and read the premise, I quickly had to add it to pre-order. It sounds so interesting and delightful, and I’m really excited for its release later this month. Plus it’s standalone, and I need more of those inbetween all these series and other bigger reads!

Lie Huo Jiao Chou (Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire), by Priest,  Zachary Ying and the Dragon Emperor, by Xiran Jay Zhao, either The Shining or Salems Lot, by Stephen King, The Red Palace, by June Hur, The Ones We’re Meant to Find, by Joan He, the first volume of Legend of the Condor Heroes, by Jin Yong, and Black Sun, by Rebecca Roanhorse.
