ANIMORPHS VERSE HEADCANONS
Cervids are a sub species of Andalite. They are different from their cousins, and got morphing inspiration from them. Their morphing cube isn’t as well known.
Regulus crash lands on Earth just like Ax in a similar dome ship. Regulus doesn’t have a human morph yet until later. He lives in the same forest as Ax.
Regulus doesn’t like the Yeerks either, but he supports the Yeerk Peace Movement.
Regulus doesn’t have many morphs as the rests of the team. He said that he may not be able to keep up with all of the morphing.
Regulus acts as also the Alien Communication Expert. Ax sees Regulus as his Prince but still remains loyal to Jake.
The Team doesn’t trust Regulus at first they fear that Regulus will be another David situation. Regulus proves them wrong.

Regulus rolled his eyes. This Andalite really was stubborn. The prince grabbed the tools and he just tends to the wound of the other hoofed alien. To think with these four hooves they can run, but nope, there is a bullet on his fur. He sighs.
The royal grabbed the tools and he understood how to tend to a wound. He was quiet and he normally say things but at the moment is silent. < You know us hoofed aliens will say we are fine, but sometimes we aren't. We are a million miles from home and we are on his alien planet and fighting.. a war.> He said. Regulus relaxed his tail. This scoop was nice, but he had his own. < I will put a gauze now on your wound so do not remove this.>
@hoovedrycal said: < you are injured, so stop being stubborn! let me help.>
< You need not help-- I am certain I will be fine. > A wound from a dracon beam had injured him near his flank. He could almost hear Marco laughing up a storm upon hearing about this. He'd hear a- "You got shot in the butt dude!" or something to that effect.
He winced as he settled down in the safety of his scoop, already reaching for the limited medical supplies this planet had to offer. Though admittedly-- he would need help to tend to the injury.
< It appears I may need your assistance after all, your highness. >

A spider. He had seen those pictures before. He shuddered to even look at them. They look horrible and disgusting.
Regulus thought for a minute. “ I had seen pictures, terrible looking things.” He said in full disgust. Regulus sighs. He might regret this, but he does get scared of morphing too. He does! He just doesn’t share the fear as much. “ But then where are going to get one..” He shuddered. Regulus needs to remember. This is a war, a silent one but nobody knows.
Only a few. Regulus took a deep breath. He kept on checking his watch then back at Daisy. He hates he has to feel this way. He hated it. He got up and paced around. He liked his pile of stuff he found. Reg just sits on the rug he found and he just sighs. “ Does anyone else have the morphing power? Surely there are others who know not just me and you.”
━━━━ ☾ Alas he did not have any other morphs, just a crow and well human. Regulus shakes his head. " I do not, but I do not know where to get more. The crow landed here in my sleeping spot, and that was easy." He said. Regulus wondered how long Daphne had her morphing powers. How many morphs she had?
He did not want to know. Humans looked scary when angry! Let alone when morphed. Regulus shakes his head. " Are we going to choose to fight the humans in the radio station? Why not use something small but scary.." He suggested. He walked over to his random basket of stuff. His favorite book the Almanac had pictures of animals. He turned to the picture of snakes.

regulus & ax: distant species cousins.

How he’d been found by a human confounded him. His scoop was far from humans, and Tobias usually swooped at anyone foolish enough to try and brave the woods. But his schorm was elsewhere.
He simply stood— a tall blue centaur— utterly at a loss for what to do.
<You should not be here.> He said in thought-speak. His main eyes narrowed while the stalk eyes looked around to see if he was followed.

There was a voice ! In his head. The Cervid only knew those sort of messages from his people.. unless. These woods were foreign to him. This was earth as he knew it. Regulus was in his own regular self. His Cervid body had golden fur , and his hooves were shiny. He then revealed himself to the other and his eyes widen.
Wait, the blue fur and the eyes. It reminded him of his people, maybe the Cervids were a sub species. He furrowed his eyes. He spoke as well. < You’re not the only milord who can speak in the mind.> Regulus stepped out into the moonlight. Then he sits down on the grass and he looked up. A hawk. He knows what a hawk was. An earth animal. He liked it.

Regulus can only grin, at least how a Cervid would or an Andalite as what he is called here. He bowed his head. < I know how it can be when taste... is a bit too much Your Highness.> He shrugged. < I am used to it, though if I were to be trapped in my human form forever, then I will take that chance.> Though it did scare him that one day he will wake up a human and no longer.. well a Cervid. He did not mind it. He liked Earth though he missed home too.
The Cervid Royal family is incomplete without him. He was their heir after all. Maybe after all this Yeerk stuff is over he can go home. Regulus decided to just lean against the tree and he looked up at the sky, it was so blue! He liked it and sensed calmness. < You are AN interesting Cer- I mean Andalite Aximili. You are odd, yet I am as well.>
reg offers ax a cinnamon bun
<This is the greatest gift I have ever been given.> He'd enjoy them when next he used his human morph. While eating with a mouth was fun, he found it overstimulating on occasion. Perhaps it was simply a side effect of the human brain.
He made a mental note to share these with Marco. Perhaps he would enjoy them in the morning before his educational imprisonment begins.

It was so strange seeing a creature that resembeled a Cervid but was not. Regulus circled around the strange creature. Did Earth house creatures like him? The Prince stopped before bowing his head. Regulus twitched his tail , and he noticed the blue one had a sharp blade on his tail too.
Were they cousins? Distant species? Regulus wanted to speak, but he was too stunned. < I am.. Regulus, Prince Regulus and you are ? You look awfully similar to me.. except you are blue.> Regulus understood colors cause he was taught that. Regulus' twitched his eye stalks here and there.
@hoovedrycal c
This was-- hard to believe. Before him stood a golden andalite. Ax held his breath without realizing it. Was this some Yeerk trick? If this was the Visser, he'd be dead. The man wasn't the type to play mind games.
He let out his breath, chest heaving as his heart raced.
<Who-- what are you?> He found himself asking, tail blade lowering as he observed the golden hooved figure in front of him. Ax hadn't seen another one of his kind since he was rescued from the dome ship by his friends.
Not counting the Visser, of course.
His mind was doing flips at the prospect of some normalcy.

━━━━ ☾ Getting rid of them. That is the problem. Regulus bites the inside of his cheek. What else is there to do? Regulus had markings on the map. Over the last several days of being here on Earth, he learnt that the Yeerks are very secretive and smart on how they do these things. “ Yes I know how the Yeerks happened and or in my planet we call them a different name. Gastropadas.”
The problem is getting the main boss. Regulus got up and he heads to where he kept his favorite earth device. A radio. The prince wondered and he hoped there were others who knew about this. Though he might be wrong. He was flipping through the radio stations. “ The problem is getting to the main boss. That.. monster.” He says.
He hated to say the name. He didn’t want to. “ You see the radio has advertised the Sharing before.. I am sure one of the radio hosts is an actual host.”

Regulus nods. His hooves were shiny too. His golden fur was very much bright underneath the sun. He nods. < I do, I got it from a human who was freaking out when he saw me, so I acquired his form, and well..> He decided to do it. Taking a deep breath he morphs to his human shape.
He fell forward because of his front legs going away. When he was done, he was a handsome human male, tan skin, and dark eyes. He blinked as his stalk eyes were gone too. He smiled. He liked being in his human morph, and he liked it so much. " See, I am human just like you." He understood the mouth sounds and the words he understood. Regulus sits on the chair and he sighs.
The Sharing. The Yeerks, or in his planet they are called Gastropadas. He clenched his fists. These Yeerks are smart but not that smart. He got up and he got a map. There were markings he wrote. " You mean that Cult? Yes I do. I marked where all their pools are."

Regulus kept silent. He headed to the forest and he lands to where his wreckage was. He morphs out of that crow body and well into his regular Andalite self. He had golden fur, strong hooves and like most of his cousin species. Yes Golden Fur, a rare shade but his species were similar, to the Andalites.
The Cervid turned to face the human female. He had no mouth and those bright green alien eyes stare. Such immense stare. < They do not come here, I have made it a way for myself and this camp to look like a complete illusion.> Regulus was good with technology. His four hooves walked towards to where his ship wreckage was.
He converted it to The golden furred alien made a small sigh. < I am the only one here, unless there are others like me who crashed.> He has yet to find them. Regulus' expression turned into a sad one.

Upon hearing the Yeerks, if only a crow can show rage he can. His feathers riled up and he lets out a screech. It seemed uncanny. < You think I would side with those monsters?!> He flapped his wings angrily. He sighs. He can feel the rage building, but as a crow, he cannot show it. Then he calmed down.
He can calm himself. < I am indeed an Andalite as you would call me, though we are different, a subspecies, though you might want to see for yourself.> He was calm all of a sudden. He hates those slugs with a burning passion.
He clenched his feet and he caws. Maybe this was not the best idea. Maybe, this was a mistake. Checking the time, he decided to maybe head back to the forest where the crash site is. He was fixing it to make himself look homey here. < If you want to talk to me in person, not like this then..> He points to the forest. < I do have a human morph too..>

Oh! So he was not the only one who can fly then? Regulus kept his cool, and he blinked. He looked here and there. < Someone who knows what is going on as well, alas, I am Regulus. Prince Regulus.> He opened his wings and bowed, at least he can. He looked out the timer on the building.
This was not too suspicious yes? Just two crows staring at each other. Though he can look in the eyes of another to see if they were ONE OF WELL THEM. Regulus calmed himself. He felt his little crow heart racing. He was a prince but not of earth. He forgot that morphing does not do well with clothes.
Well he does not WEAR clothes anyway when in his regular shape. Regulus sighs. < Look, I am surprised that humans can morph too. Either you made your own way to do it someone gave it to you.> He never heard of something like this before. It was new.

Regulus blinked all of his eyes. Oh, his ship? His crew? How was he going to answer that? Regulus still stood tall, and firm. He never really ORDERED anyone before nor use his royalty outside of the palace before. He puts the morphing cube in his bag. He then realized he didn’t have a crew. He could make up a lie, but he didn’t want that.
< My ship? I.. I don’t have one. I honestly, I don’t know how I.. got here, but I am happy to fight alongside you still.> Regulus says. He looked up at the red tailed hawk and he just was amazed by the creatures of this planet. His eyes sparkled. Maybe this coloration of Cervid was a subspecies? He wasn’t sure. < Maybe .. we can go fly? I mean.. I haven’t really gotten a chance to you.. fly..> He mumbled. Regulus’ eyes turned the other way.
He hasn’t morphed anything other than his human shape. There was that word again. Is that what they call Mind Controlled here? Come to think of it, Controller was a better word. He bowed his head his ears flopped. < I am sorry Aximili, but I am the only one of my people here, I don’t have a crew. > Regulus flopped his ears in a sad expression.
