What were your thoughts on today's episode of Criminal Minds? and the promo for the next episode?

Henney anon? CM anon? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I have so many thoughts about this episode!! 

First, I LOVE that Simmons/Daniel Henney has been getting a bunch of screen time so far this season - they opened the season with the Simmons Sprinkle/mini baby shower, last week he was the main b-plot of the episode with the whole “my wife’s on bedrest, I’m watching the kids AND helping solve a case when I’m not trying to creatively figure out how to use dice with no numbers on them even though with 4 kids there’s got to be at least ONE board game with dice somewhere” and tonight was Simmons-centric (and Spencer-centric adjacent) when we see the BAU with a day off, that turns into a workday for some of them. 

attempting a cut again to avoid spoilers but it is what it is, friends!

Garcia taking lead on a case was great. Her line to Alvez about his snark and getting away with it “because of your face” was hilarious 

Day drunk/wine drunk Emily 😂coming over and not helping to assemble the obnoxiously red, custom-built, no refunds crib that doesn’t-go-with-anything in what used to be an office (sorry not sorry Breeder Matt!) was great

Matt with his “the paint is some kinda space age polymer and nothing will stick to it” juuuust like the dice from the game had numbers that wouldn’t stick to it 😂 (sweetie, sand the paint. nothing’s gonna stick to a smooth surface sealed with something intended to be safe for a child to nom on)

Reid and his meet-cute with Max was definitely cute. I can’t even with her nephew that told him he had weird hair AND a long neck 😂though the pace of their first day together is moving fast (we’re nearly halfway through the final season so I get WHY it’s moving fast, I just don’t like it)

Alvez basically gave up his entire day off to help Garcia with a case - and the two of them working together was cute

TBH I didn’t pay that much attention to Emily’s scenes because I was using that time to update my twitter feed to see what everyone else was talking about during the episode. I did think it was funny she dragged Tara into helping her because she (Tara) looked like the ex-wife though

Uncle Dave asking Matt and Kristy if that was a real number (in regards to what they’d have to save up for F I V E college educations) - ‘fraid so, man. 

creepy creepy CREEPY Joe Goldberg level stalker creepiness when Garcia and Alvez found all those listening devices in the apartment, not to mention THE BOX 👀👀👀

SIMMONS STORIES 😭YES MATT, BE A WRITER!!

I love that Rossi suggested they collaborate on it - rather than Rossi thinking of some weird way to give Matt and Kristy money - and he could show Matt how to get into writing true crime novels with all the crazy sh!t they’ve seen over the years so he could have another income venue

Rossi sure likes smoochin Simmons not that I blame him at all I mean LOOK AT HIM

Reid with the sprinklers and Max with the “use your skillset to find me, then” 😉 THIS IS CUTE

okay so that baby got here FAST and that delivery was crazy FAST but she’s also done this 4 times already so it kinda makes sense

Flustered, frazzled Henney/Matt is ADORABLE and they’re arguing about the stupid crib while Kristy’s in labor these two I can’t even–😂

I was suspicious of the convo JJ and Reid had at the end because it seemed like she was almost jealous that he is FINALLY moving on and showing interest in someone else but…good, good, she’s trying to do him a solid and telling him to go find the girl

I am NOT looking forward to next week’s episode because Brown Eyes and Muscles 😂are in trouble and Matt’s head is bleeding and HE JUST HAD A BABY COME ON. Couldn’t be all slightly warped, never quite sunshine and rainbows for the BAU, right?
