Peter Pan hyper fixation time

So I really got into Peter Pan recently, I came across a post on Tumblr about Robin Williams being Peter Pan in Hook (1991) and was really excited cause Robin Williams? Playing an adult version of Peter Pan? Sounds like a perfect mix. But like, I didn't remember what happened in the Disney movie and at the same time didn't want to watch the Disney movie again so I watched the 2003 live-action one (my favorite Peter Pan movie now). Anyway after seeing both movies I sorta started reading and watching other Peter Pan stuff. Including various videos below the cut.

Im 2/3rds of the way through Peter Pan and the Starcatchers.

A side note about me, I like tabletops and forum rps, and wanted to channel all the things I found on Peter into a character. So imma share some of my notes that embody my thoughts on the character.

Overall I went with a story-like telling, mimicking the way the 1911 story is written. (I'm cutting out the first paragraph cause it is mostly set up for the rest and parts that are more story-set, will note those)

Personality section

Peter wasn’t a bad boy; so early he could only know of and believe in the love of his parents. But he is a silly boy, for so easily did he flee his nursery believing in the way many children do, that his parents will always be there. [cut parts] and a new baby was in his room. It was the first thing Peter lost belief in, that parents will always wait with open arms for their children.

The thing about Peter Pan is that there is no concrete way to tell his story after this. There is almost always a Wendy and a Tinkerbell, always a Captain Hook. Sometimes there are girls on Neverland, sometimes it is just lost boys. In some stories, Peter is ignorance unto malice, but in others, he just doesn’t know better but can learn.

So why don’t we tell another story?

Peter is a heroic boy, he takes lost children and gives them a home in Neverland. A lost child could be anything really; silly boys that have fallen out of their prams (girls are far too smart for this to happen, so it's always boys), left behind, or metaphorically abandoned in the homes of evil adults. But the lost children don’t always stay. You see, Peter is a morally ambiguous boy–for children are innocent and heartless. And Peter, the eternal boy, will never really know love or family, the lost boys only being a temporary family. For all his heroics, some simple pleasures will never be known by him.

Just as Peter’s story includes a Neverland and a Hook and sometimes a Wendy. Peter’s story includes themes of growing up, and sometimes the eternal boy isn’t eternally a boy. Quite the conundrum. In these stories [cut] the theme of growing up present in all the stories is made literal; Peter becomes a man (whether he started out as assigned female at birth or male, doesn't really matter, though maybe we could tell that story too one day). The man that Peter becomes [cut] is a loving parent but also a difficult one. In growing up, he has made many difficult choices; but in one story his children are taken by Captain Hook, and in his quest to save them he finds joy in the life he created and regains that youthful enthusiasm in his adult life.

In childhood, you believe so heartily in the amazement of the world; however, as an adult, you gain understanding. It becomes hard to have that happy thought needed to fly that isn’t tainted by the understanding of the world. As an adult, Peter is still that youthful and adventurous boy, but he is also a parent who deeply cares for all children. A grown-up who hasn’t forsaken that deeply held belief that fairies exist and flight is possible. A representation that you do not have to leave behind “immaturity”, to “grow up”, and that you can be a mature and responsible adult and also retain that curiosity and excitement that started in childhood. His happy thoughts are about his children and how much he loves them and how excited he is to be a father. And in that, not only does he fly, he remembers why he does the things he does.

“To live would be an awfully big adventure” and Peter is nothing if not adventurous.

(Tying in the ideas of Adulthood and Peter growing up from Hook 1991 and a few other bits, and some elements of the story. But also the "Im Youth, I'm Joy" from the 1911 book, the boy who never grows up). The story of Peter Pan is all about youth, adulthood, and growing up, but also keeping in that belief and curiosity and sense of adventure.

Personality wise takes elements of the 1911 book (actually demented and a touch evil version) and Disney 1953 (a little unhinged but not evil). Or 2003 (a sweet wittle mischievous boi) and this 2020s animated series (Big Brother Energy). I love the 2003 movie so that's gonna be the big focus, touching into big brother energy with really tiny kids, but kinda is evil with adults. Overall unhinged.

I wanted to include a line taken from the 1911 book about how “Seen a map of a persons mind… Doctors sometimes draw maps of other parts of you… catch them trying to draw a map of a child’s mind, which is not only confused… these are probably roads in the island; for Neverland is always more or less an island.” I saw a few analyses and essays about Peter Pan and on this, one points out that in the Victorian and Edwardian times that you “could map out fairyland and map out madness”. But couldn’t quite figure out how to put it in so it's more vaguely referenced. That video also said that you could read Peter Pan in that he was like “an angel of death” of taking dead babies that fell from their prams or were forgotten and saving them, taking them to Neverland. And I didn’t quite add that, but did expand the lost boys with this thought.

Another thing I couldn’t really get into, but somewhat reference is the LGBTQ history of Peter Pan. Like many plays, Peter was played by a woman for it was easier for women to portray boys. Peter’s first main actress, and the one he was mostly written for, was a lesbian woman Maude Adams, and Peter’s writer JM Barrie was bi or gay—there is a letter he wrote to the Treasure Island author Robert Louis Stevenson stating his love. From the “Maude Adams and the LGBTQ History of Peter Pan” video 38:03, we get an excerpt from a book with a way too long title that goes “In his works, Barrie constructs a new formation of the male identity… by creating male protagonists who desire other males and who display homosexual uncertainties; however, due to 19th c homophobia… unable to develop past the socially accepted homosocial stage.” And later at 41:20, same book, “it is only when Peter and Hook interact that the two partial beings combine to create one composite persona… Barrie makes it very evident that both Peter and Hook enjoy the companionship of the other… the manner in which the two ‘Captains’ conduct their communities implies their dissatisfaction. They are much more entranced with the other… display a deeper homosocial bond that is based on their mutual understanding of the other.”

And I mentioned in the personality section about “whether he started out as assigned female at birth or a boy” as there are many trans readings and a trans book I can’t remember the name of but do know exists. A trans reading can be interpreted in his fairy identity as he is referenced in the original text and many adaptations that Peter is more fairy than human child, and is a point in separating him from gender constructs in that he no longer or never truly existed in the world of man (an edwardian world with boundaries that isolated him). That earlier vid brings up the line from the play “you ust never touch me” in response to Wendy, ‘to be touched is to be reached for by a world of expectations that Peter can never face”.

This overall existence outside of the world of men and male expectations creates a resonance between Peter Pan and anyone who feels limited and outside this world of men and male expectations. “For many people, he’s cathartic in that he chose his own destiny, he’s celebrated for it, and in the end wasn’t pressured in conforming”.

.... Honestly, I feel like there’s more that this list isn’t covering. Like Phineas and Ferb isn’t here and I wrote for that show too. And many of these can be simplified and condensed because they belong to similar fics.

Tropes: Depends on the fic. But as a whole, tend to write Romantic Comedies with a lot of slow burn. Mostly because... struggle is funny. People being dumdums and oblivious to the obvious is funny. Aaaaand also because it allows the episodic quality of shenanigans to occur.

Number of fics: Up and posted on AO3? 53. Does not include stuff on FF.net or that’s sitting in google docs begging to be finished.

Fic I spent the most time on: Not sure how to read this. Does it mean active man hours? Or does stuff like having a hiatus in-between count? Because TECHNICALLY ‘Real Value’ was started in high school, and I didn’t rewrite it and carry on the series (with Moonie) until many years later. There are also fics like ‘Growing Love’ or ‘Priorities’ that took a lot of time to do research. Like learning how to build a lawn mower so I could have a character believably break it apart for repairs.

....God I do a lot of research that doesn’t go into the actual fics. Because all I need, really, in the confidence of what I’m doing to be the character and describe an action here or there. 

Fic I spent the least time on: Probably something drabble related? Or maybe the fic I did that was just me venting out emotions because I was feeling guilty? ‘A Mother’s Intuition’ was written and posted within a couple of hours.

Longest fic: Complicated. The longest thing written is technically an RP, NOT a story. (Different, trust me.) ‘What Happens in Gotham’ has a word count of  207,413. But fic wise at 89,022 word would be ‘The Constant Gardener’ . 

Runner up being ‘Priorities’ at little over 87k.

Shortest fic: Drabbles? Uh, let’s see.. Probably from ‘Beauty and Your Worth’, as i think one was literally a paragraph long. ... Speaking of Gummi Bears, I wonder if I still have my notes on the GruffiGusto fic I wanted to write. Something to look into.

Most hits: Apparently ‘Fallen Hard’ at  5354

Total word count: 971,833 Oh hey! Almost a million. That’s something to celebrate.

Favorite fic I wrote: 'Knights of Dobenshire’. Hands down. (With ‘Heart of the Cards’ being very close.) I like writing road trip styled stories. It allows many things to happen within the narrative. BUT, ‘Knights of Dobenshire’ wins because it was such a satisfying conclusion of this build up, you know? Scrooge is finally no longer just putting up with the relationship with Fenton, but fully embracing it. That surprise feeling that hits him when he realizes, dear lord, he IS attracted to Fenton beyond affection. 

It hits me more than a mutual pining because there I KNOW they will get together. But here? While writing with Moonie? I DIDN’T KNOW! I was worried in the end we’d have to write another fic to finally reach that step. Scrooge is stubborn and does what he wants, let me tell ya.

Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: 'Fallen Hard’, ‘Season of Miracles’, ‘Going with the Flow’, pretty much anything that isn’t complete. BUT, not posted, I really want to get back to more of the stories planned in the McCrack series. It was a ship I kinda made from the ground up, with nobody caring about it in the beginning. So it feels very important to see that series through.

... Actually, I can share something from 'Donald’s Party (Working Title)’. @swampy-tiefling and I started. Just the first scene to get you guys hooked.

Donald took a deep breath of air from the doorway of the house and sighed, once again pleased to find himself at his home away from home. Traveling the seas and exploring the world with the navy were its own rewards, he supposed, but there would never be anything quite like the countryside-- the middle aged mallard having practically been raised on Grandma Duck’s farm. Donald Duck was happy to be on shore-- his naval carrier being docked for the week in Duckburg as they replenished supplies and took care of whatever repairs that were needed. Whatever excuse his bosses wanted to use were fine by him, he was just happy to not be scrubbing decks for a change!

That didn’t, however, mean he was able to rest and relax-- as the duck was startled out of his thoughts as somebody bumped into him. That somebody was his grandmother as she came to, just having caught her plate of cookies before they fell.

“My land, Donald! What in the world are you doing hiding here when you should be meetin’ and greetin’ the guests?”

Donald ignored the woman’s soft glare as he waved her off, using his other hand to steal a cookie in the process. Stuffing it in his mouth, he murmured out a response.

“Phooey, they’re just relatives.”

“Even more of a reason to go out and talk to them.” Before the sailor could argue, Grandma Duck placed the plate of treats into his hands. “And put these out on the snack table while you’re at it. Poor Fethry is looking peckish.”

Donald rolled his eyes, but otherwise did as he was told. Wasn’t it just like life to make him work at his own welcome home party? Walking towards the open yard where the party was taking place, it didn’t take long to reach the table, where his cousins were already gathered around as they chat.

This instantly caught the attention of the lankier duck, his gaze zoning in as he smiled widely towards Donald in greeting.

“Well if it ain’t the guest of honor, with snacks to boot!” Fethry leaned closer, his red hat wobbling with him as he continued to inquire. “Say, cuz, ya wouldn’t happen to know if these are gluten free, would ya?”

Donald gave him an unimpressed look. 

“You’re not going on another crazy diet, are ya?” Though, in all honesty, he was more worried his looney cousin might try to drag him along-- and after months of eating nothing but mush, he would NOT miss out on his first chance to pig out on actual home cooked meals.

"Not crazy at all, actually!" Fethry grinned that goofy grin. "See, it's all right here; Gluten Free; It's the Way to Be' !" he shoved a rather lengthy-looking hard cover book in Donald's face. Donald had no choice but to stare at it, the words all blurring together from its close proximity to his eyes. The offending object remained there for only a second, however, before it was yanked back, the nutty mallard already busy flipping through it.

"Let's see, here, there's a fascinating chapter I think you should-- Don?"

Phew, that had been close. Donald was still in sneaking away mode, and jumped and yelped when he was tapped on the shoulder. Oh no. He'd been caught, after all. He slowly turned, with a forced, toothy grin, to face his fate.

A wave of relief washed over him when he saw his girlfriend, Daisy, smiling sweetly at him, instead.

“And where do you think you’re sneaking off to, Mister? You’ve been gone for so long, and here we are, with you haven’t even given me a kiss ‘hello’ yet.” 

Now there was something Donald didn’t mind doing, as his girlfriend leaned in her face for her reward. Wrapping his arms around her, he planted the biggest of smooches to her temple. 

“Gaww, I’m sorry Daisy. I really did miss you.”

This earned him a soft smile, as it was Daisy’s turn to kiss him on the forehead.

“And I missed you, hun. Now, tell me… why WERE you sneaking around?”

“Grandma put me on entertainment duty.”

“Well, “ his girlfriend began, “it IS your party, after all. They came to see you, seems fair to me.” This made the sailor groan as she looked at him unsympathetically. Rolling her eyes, the reporter sarcastically patted her boyfriend in comfort. “There there. Now don’t go sneaking off for real, the boys will be arriving soon. And Grandma tells me Uncle Scrooge will be bringing along a special guest.”

“Special guest?” Donald asked incredulously. “Like who?” This caused Daisy’s eyes to glimmer all the more in mischief, a look that told him that she knew something he didn’t know. And that something was big news, if he was reading her right.

“Oh, nobody TOO special, I suppose,” Daisy was stalling, and it was driving Donald up the wall. The duck woman continued her teasing. “Nobody except your uncle’s new date friend.”

"Date friend?" Donald practically exclaimed, prompting Daisy's grin to grow all the more smug.

"Yep! You've missed quite a bit since you've been away, you know."

"No kidding...well I'll be..." Donald was shaking his head, but he was smiling. Uncle Scrooge, dating, at his age... it was nothing short of a miracle. It was about time, too!

"Meanwhile, why don't you go say hi to the rest of the guests? I know it's hard..." she rolled her eyes. "but at least make an effort, okay? Thanks, hun!"

Donald's heart fluttered as she smooched his cheek, and left. He glanced out over the yard, and saw quite a few familiar faces; Gus, Ludwig, Gladstone... heck, even Gyro Gearloose had shown up!

He sighed, but this one wasn't a sigh of pure despair. It did feel nice to be home, surrounded by people who most likely cared, and his nephews were even going to show up soon. Not to mention, he'd get to tease his uncle for finally taking his advice on the whole dating thing. 

That alone gave Donald the pep in his step he needed as he threw himself back into the party-- where he knew his crazed family would be waiting for him.

Okay, so basically, the two writers/artists who created Zsasz (Norm Breyfogle and Alan Grant) conceived him to be the Hannibal Lecter of Gotham. Victor Zsasz is incredibly intelligent, cunning, and dangerous. In his first appearance he is in Arkham Asylum. He’s in for his weekly session with Dr. Jeremiah Arkham. Zsasz is wrapped in a straight jacket, standing in a metal tube, situated inside a cage, and Dr. Arkham is sitting in a folding char ten feet back. There is a small window in the metal tube, through which Zsasz grins and speaks. They’re discussing philosophy (and unbeknownst to Jeremiah, Zsasz is manipulating the good doctor, planting seeds of paranoia in his head). When taken back to his cell, Zsasz is collared and led by three guards who hook poles into his collar to steer him. He is not allowed soap to wash his hands because he can use it to kill. He can’t feed himself because he paralysed an orderly with a plastic utensil. In a later comic he killed several guards will a ball point pen. The man is dangerous. He is also, 100% canonically the only rogue who can sneak up on Batman.

Victor Zsasz was born in the lap of luxury. Not that any current media would tell you, but the Zsaszes were up there with the Waynes and Cobblepotts as far as Gotham’s wealthiest families. Victor had everything, graduated magna cum laude, started his own company. It was all perfect until his 25th year. That’s when his parents died. Victor took to drink and gambling, eventually losing his own personal fortune as well as his vast inheiritance. He lost his last dollar to the Penguin one hot summer night at the Iceberg Lounge. Penniless and alone, Victor was about to throw himself off a bridge when a mugger attacked him with a knife. He wrestled the knife from the mugger and cut the mugger’s throat and watched the light leave his eyes. In that adreneline rush, Victor jammed the knife into his arm, making a mark. It was then he knew what he had to do. He had to save these wretches from their miserable existence!! And for each one shuffled from the mortal coil, he would make a cut on his body.

I mean this was pretty fucked up for 1991 right? Well, he was introduced in 1991. We didn’t get his backstory until 1996, and again in the video game Arkham City.

Victor’s never had a proper Year One. We don’t know how he went from the ‘guy who killed a mugger’ to the tally mark covered lithe genius who thinks so far ahead he once BRIBED AN ARCHITECT TO HIDE SUPPLIES IN THE DUCT WORK OF ARKHAM ASYLUM SO WHEN HE ESCAPED HE HAD A FLASHLIGHT AND SOME FOOD

Most comics lately take him and make him a common thug. Streets of Gotham is particularly offensive to me, because, although it did give us the wonderful ‘Zsasz Vision’ panels (Zsasz sees everyone else as a rotting corpse, unaware that they’re dead, which is why he has to save them from this existence you see), SoG basically said “if given money Zsasz would kidnap CHILDREN and force them to fight to the death for spectators.” No. No no nonono... Zsasz is choosy about his victims. In the patient interview tapes in Arkham Asylum, he reveals to his latest doctor that he had preciously stalked her, seeing how empty and repetitive her life was (“You unlock the four locks to your apartment, remember you forgot to buy cat food again, curl up on your favourite red chair, just wishing /something/ would happen. I can be that something, Sarah. I am your salvation.”). He kills people, men women children, and poses them in grim mockeries of their life. He doesn’t kidnap (he will take hostages, but he doesn’t exactly have a LAIR to abscond to).

But NO, nowadays he’s portrayed as a barely-verbal dullard or a gun-toting henchman. UGH! Zsasz CANONICALLY HATES GUNS. They’re too loud and smell bad. Remember that bit in The Dark Knight where the Joker explains why he uses a knife? That’s Zsasz. He likes to get close, to watch the subtle emotions, to see the light go dim.

ALSO PLEASE DON’T GET IT TWISTED: I may wax poetic about this guy but I do not under any circumstances condone or support this shit. If Zsasz were real??? Fucking TERRIFYING. The man has hundreds of scars. Hundreds of victims. The Gotham City PD can only positively tie him to twenty murders.

Noz, et sa boutique http://parkblvdrecords.com, qui fait ce vrai travail de disquaire, écouter et recommander, sans imposer, travail d’histoire, travail de creuseur... Ca donne presque envie de faire la même chose ici ! Si jamais quelqu’un est chaud...

Discogs, Twitter, forums et toutes ces listes qui s’agrandissent sans jamais se terminer, plus loin que l’Univers en expansion, et qui me font passer le temps à écouter de la musique, lire et creuser.

Frank Ocean, qui a réédité Endless, album sorti la même année que Blonded, cruellement... Parce que Blonded est immense, et que Endless n’est pas loin de l’être aussi. Frank Ocean est vraiment un des plus grands.

Shy Glizzy, qui a sorti son meilleur album à la toute fin de l’année 2017, Quiet Storm, et qui a donc accompagné quasiment toute la première moitié de l’année 2018. C’est certainement ce que j’ai le plus écouté cette année.

Tinker Bell PSA

I have run this blog for years, and I’ve grown tired and confused by the sheer number of people who spell Tink’s name wrong when writing with me.

Now, it doesn’t surprise me that people spell her name wrong in general because it’s a very common misconception (in my experience more people misspell her name than get it right, so you can’t be blamed for using that misspelling if you’ve never read the original text.)

But when people role-play with me and I trust them to have read at least one of my blog’s pages (all of which feature her name) or even the very RP reply they’re reblogging from me, it would be nice to see her name spelled correctly.

So, once and for all, I’m going to explain the name situation. I don’t wish to be rude and this is genuinely not a vagueblog directed toward ANYONE, because I appreciate the quality of every RPer I write with (that’s why I’ve kept writing with you without any complaint or comment about the name until now!!!) This is just a detail many seem to have overlooked, so I have to talk about it for once.

Tinker Bell’s name is spelled Tinker Bell, not Tinkerbell.

If you trust me, the Tinker Bell RPer, to know what I’m talking about, you can stop right there and just adjust yourself to using her correct name and move on. If you want The Evidence, read on. ;)

Since her conception in James Barrie’s original Peter Pan play in 1904, her name has been been spelled with a space and a capital B. I’ve found one, two, three original playbills to show this.

Here is an online transcription of a first edition copy of Peter and Wendy, the novel version of Barrie’s play written by the man himself and first published in 1911. You can see her name spelled Tinker Bell there. Here are examples of scans from a version of the book in print to show that her name IS printed that way in any copy you’ll find.

Peter Pan in Scarlet, the authorized sequel to Peter and Wendy, though not written by Barrie himself, also uses her correct name, found here.

Now, that’s all official, but what about Disney? Maybe they changed the spelling of her name the way they changed some other details of the story, you think. No. Her name has always been spelled Tinker Bell by Disney.

Have you ever wondered why characters in Disney’s Peter Pan or Disney Fairies movies often call Tink, “Miss Bell”? It’s because her name is Tinker Bell, and the Bell is actually a separate word from the Tinker, not mushed together.

Margaret Kerry, the live action reference model for Tink, whose pantomime and figure provided the basis for Tink’s animation in the 1953 cartoon Peter Pan, spells Tink’s name Tinker Bell. On her website and in autographs. (The Tinker Bell face characters at Disney parks are also taught to sign this way.)

Further, the Disney Golden book copyright 1952 (the year before the film was released) spells her name Tinker Bell.

So, too, does all Disney-sold merchandise for Tinker Bell and the Disney Fairies line. As well as the page on Disney’s website for Tinker Bell itself. And the entirety of the published novels concerning Tink and friends in Pixie Hollow.

I could go on explaining how any official content you come across for her will say Tinker Bell, rather than Tinkerbell, but I’m sure this post has gone on long enough.

It should be noted that there ARE some adaptations that spell her name wrong, because they were evidently created by people who didn’t do that much research into the source material they were adapting. In those, which can be considered their own canon universe, maybe Tink’s name is spelled “Tinkerbell”, but never on my blog. (I’m looking at you, back of the Hook 1991 DVD)

Anyways, all of this aside, it’s a beautiful day and I hope you can enjoy some of it, wherever you are! I mean, Tinkerbell and Peterpan are probably flying over Captainhook’s ship right now, looking for a reason to fight him....Maybe they’re trying to rescue Wendydarling or Tigerlily.

Chapter 1: Touch The Sky

A/N: I sincerely apologize for any confusion I have caused for republishing this story again. I got my first negative review, and it was on this story. I am not going to bash this person, because their review wasn't nasty and everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But, I realized that some of the chapters really do need work. This story is based off of an old RP storyline that I did with my ex back in October of 2015. He was known to leave massive gaps between events, leaving me to do all of the work. So, I'm trying to fill in the gaps. Plus, I'm working off of memory since both Hayley and Fergal's accounts have been deleted since my ex and I broke up back in July. Hopefully things will work out better this time!

Hayley took a deep breath as she slowly walked through the doors of the WWE Performance Center for another long, hard day of training. This was it. This is what the young woman had dreamed of ever since she was a little girl. The day that she would finally set foot in a ring. And she was going to make a name for herself the way that her father did back on that day in October of 1984. She knew she had big shoes to fill given her name, but she knew in her heart that this was her calling. Like many other second and third generation Superstars and Divas, it was her mission to carry out a legacy, and she was ready for the whole world to know her name...

Her name is Hayley Isabella Hickenbottom. Yup. Hickenbottom. As in...the Heartbreak Kid. Mr. WrestleMania. Or, to billions of fans young and old, Shawn Michaels. No one really knew about his oldest daughter, the only daughter he had with his ex-wife, Theresa. Hayley was born on July 22nd, 1991, the day of her father's 26th birthday. Shawn was unable to be with Theresa on the day that Hayley was born, due to him being on the road at the time, but, Shawn treasured her more than anything in the world, even with the problems he had going on at the time. Hayley had always admired Shawn, and she will always be reminded of the stories her mother used to tell everyone who would listen. Whether it was on television or in person, she was always mesmerized when she watched her daddy wrestle. Her eyes would always be glued to the television, laughing whenever he won, and crying whenever he lost or got hurt. When she hit the tender age of six, that's when she decided she wanted to be just like her daddy, and Shawn promised that as soon as she was old enough, he would train her. He made good on his promise, and the young woman began to accompany her father on the road when she turned thirteen years old, that way she could not only train, but also get a feel of the business. She thought she was finally on the right track, but on that day in July 2009, her life changed...and not for the better.

That night, she had met the man who she thought she would be spending the rest of her life with, a man who she thought she was head over heels in love with. That man was named Nicholas Theodore Nemeth, or, to the fans, Dolph Ziggler. Oh, yes. The Show Off. Mr. Perfection. The minute she laid her eyes on him, she was hooked. It had taken her a bit to work up the courage to go over and talk to him, but when she finally did, it was like something had sparked. The way he looked at her made her heart flutter, and all she could do was blush and giggle. It didn't take long for him to sweep her off her feet and charm his way into her heart, but her dad didn't see the man she saw. From the beginning, Shawn made it no secret that he disapproved his daughter's new squeeze. He didn't see the charming twenty eight year old man with the blond curls and blue eyes she did. He saw someone who was using his daughter because of not only her name, but her beauty. He sensed that Nick didn't truly love her, and the disagreeing had put a massive strain on the once strong bond they shared. Hayley and Shawn argued constantly, and it got to the point where Hayley had given up her training. She decided to run off with her man, thinking she was Cinderella with her Prince Charming. She had spent six years of her life, internally planning her Happily Ever After...but that soon came to a head back in May, shortly before she was originally set to sign a contract with NXT.

Hayley had returned to the hotel room she was sharing with Nick after spending a night out with Natalya and Brianna, and she was prepared to crawl into bed next to him, but she heard strange noises coming from where their bed was. She slowly crept around the corner, and the sight in front of her was still very much imprinted in her mind. There was Nick, completely naked...on top of two women. Yup. Two. And those women were Lana and Summer Rae. All she could do for a few moments was stare in horror, her heart shattering as she listened to their intermingling moans. But, once the shock and horror had passed, she started seeing red...something Shawn had warned Nick about since the beginning. And, when Hayley blacks out, she never remembers what happened. Witnesses to the event had told her that she had chased Nick out of the room, screaming over and over again that he was a pig. Once she caught up with him, she had knocked him to the ground and began to beat him in a blind, vicious rage. Though Nick had declined to press charges against her, Hayley still didn't get to sign her contract. Instead, she chose to take some time off and make up for lost time with her father, as well as taking the time to get over her heartbreak. Shawn decided to train Hayley some more during her time off, and when she felt like she was ready, Hayley finally signed her life over to her second father, Triple H. Now, today was the beginning of a new chapter in the young woman's life, and she would show the man who broke her heart that he won't win. He won't get the best of her. She will live her life, work her ass off, and make sure that the Michaels name lives on in the foundation of WWE.

Biography

One thing that Leanne doesn’t do is talk about her childhood and family, not even to Landon. Leanne has been on her own since she was fourteen and she doesn’t want to talk about why. When she was seventeen she met Landon by pure luck and there was an instant attraction between them. She lied about her age and told him she was nineteen. They began a very intense sexual relationship; Landon even brought her on board of Wandering Hearts so they wouldn’t have to spend four months apart. By the end of the four months things weren’t as hot and heavy as it was in the beginning. Leanne caught Landon with other girls on many occasions and it caused fights. She wanted a relationship and all he wanted was to screw around without strings. When they docked back in Miami he told her that they shouldn’t continue with their fling but she refused to leave. She told him that if he didn’t want to be with her it was fine but she had nowhere else to go and felt home on the ship. Landon told her she could stay if she worked so she agreed and took an escort job. She hoped that if Landon saw her with all these men it would make him jealous enough to commit to her. Over the years her plan worked to an certain degree. She doesn’t want to give up hope but now it’s been the longest they’ve ever gone without hooking up and she’s starting to think he doesn’t care about her anymore. She can be a little crazy and high maintenance at times and she’s sure that’s part of what turns Landon off of her. She’s been so lonely lately that she started sleeping with her “dates.” Part of her wants Landon to catch her to see if it makes a difference between them but the other part of her is afraid he’ll finally kick her off the ship for good.
