Recently I performed a spell to help return a lost dog to her owners. On the day of the eclipse, I petitioned St. Expedite to help the little pup, who had been lost for 12 days, find her way home. Five hours later, she was found. All hail St. Expedite! . When you petition St. Expedite, it's important that you offer a gift in return. In my case, I offered to give a shout out to him on social media (check), feed the ducks in Echo Park lake (check, done on Valentine's Day -- very romantic), and donate to the Veterans of Standing Rock (check). St. Expedite was a Roman Centurion (soldier) in Armenia in the 4th century - so as the story goes he likes it when you support Vets. . "Expeditus" is another word for soldier, but it also means "to resolve" in Latin, and its variation in French means to "hasten" or make something happen fast. Regardless of the etymology, St. Expedite is a good choice for a petition if you're in an emergency. . Also, for all you procrastinators out there (myself included), you might just want to start up a little romance with St. Expedite. Normally, I wouldn't advocate stomping on crows. But as you can see, the crow in this image is saying "gras", which means "tomorrow". Crows are tricksters, and in this case, the crow is trying to convince St. Expedite to do something important tomorrow that he really should do now, but our soldier is having none of it. . Try invoking St. Expedite next time you're trying to crank out that book proposal. But if you get your blessing, don't forget to offer a shout out to the St. afterwards.
