I don’t think I’ve shown my #thanksgivingmeal yet and i thought this would be a great time to do so. Not everyone gets to have a warm and safe place to have a feast for the holidays. Not many people know about when I move to Austin in 1998 I came through what was then called #safeplace. They gave me and my child an opportunity to be safe and to hide from my ex when he had a thought to grab his shotgun and come find us. They helped me get my first job in my career as a mortgage associate and helped us to get a place to live. My heart is still filled with gratitude to the charities and people of Austin who supported them for helping us start over in a healthy and safe environment. That’s why I’d love to tell you about and invite you to my dear friend @thehonestshruth’s charity event, Keep Austin Warm 2018! This event will be held at @BarrMansion on 12/16/18 from 4pm-7pm, where they are raising funds for @AustinPetsAlive, @SafeAlliance, and #hopefoodpantry #austin Guests will enjoy a fantastic variety of local Austin eats and drinks, music by DJ Ella Ella, @soyellaella swag bags, photo opportunities, a raffle, and a whole load of holiday cheer!
