Theory: Gulltoppr’s feet were burned by Heimdall and Odin as a torture tactic to make him submit to being Heimdall’s steed.
#god of war ragnarok#heimdall god of war#it’s what he considers ‘fair and square’#like when you brand a cow or something#and gully’s already branded#but gully went thru worse lol#right when i saw him that part stood out the most to me#you know these creatures have elemental powers so they arent affected Usually by those elements#not long term#so odin and heimdall must have done something really fucked up to him to have it stay cosmetically#it probably still hurts too#honestly it’s super refreshing that heimdall treated gully like shit#there’s so many stories of villains having some weird soft spot for their animal companions#ie ursula and her eels or something#so when i saw heimdall kick the Shit out of gully’s corpse i laughed lol#because he really is an Asshole#reminds me of odin and his ravens#also idk why ppl were so surprised heimdall didn’t give a damn about gully#terrible ppl treat other ppl And their pets like shit omg#honestly when you killed gully you probably put the poor thing out of his misery ☹️
