the first time I read The Secret History I was about 14, and found main friend group altogether charming but stiff and sort of boring. Now, in college, I realize that the friend group pre-murder just does things that my current friend group does and/or I would love for us to do.

#damien.txt #honestly the dynamic between everyone (minus Bunny) is super super sweet and fun prior to all the murder #like. yeah the alcoholism is bad. but they read together and go on boat rides and play tennis #they go on drives and laugh at each other and sing while they cook #have dinners and play games and take care of each other when they need it #it's honestly just really cute. like it goes so bad but nonetheless i really do see my friends in these characters #and like my friend group does most of the things listed above they're just way less murder-y and also we don't hang out with a bunny #anyways! sorry i guess i got sentimental bc it reminded me of my friends kdhdjshdj #about to get to the real murder tho so! it spirals from here #the secret history
