#like i actually cannot allow myself to get wrapped up in New Thing rn i GOTTA focus#tbh i have been. struggling. a little w my prompt LMFAOOO but i'm getting there!#honestly most of it is bc my artistic process is EXTREMELY involved. i'm not even kidding when i say#half of the prep has just been me delving deep into character studies (LITERALLY!!) taking notes directly from the source material#and then the Actually Drawing stage has involved so far a lot of drafting/studying concept art/adapting into my style#which utilizes a lot of shape language and storytelling through the design itself (unsure how well i do this)#and also occasionally in between taking breaks to reset myself and. if i don't draw alfonse/my oc/sharena#i do GENUINELY feel unwell. load bearing alfonse (and more!)#my autistic ass could NEVER do commissions.
