I think the reason why Rambley hates Lloyd is very simple tbh
It's not just jealously, is the fact that they clearly give Lloyd way much attention than any of the other characters
Like Rambley gets a big amound of merchandise of course, but in his case he's the main MASCOT, it would be like complaining that Mickey has more merchandise than Donald or Goofy, in his case it makes sense
But then we have the fact that apparently don't give the other 4 mascots the same attention, Finley and Mollie don't get the same stuff Lloyd does from part of the park staff, Lloyd gets almost the same attention as Rambley and it's not fair in his eyes because why Lloyd? Why not the other two? He doesn't just question why he doesn't have a limited version Plushie like Lloyd that is ACTUALLY a new plush and not a golden spry version of his, but also question why Mollie and Finley don't get one, and Salem? They get zero, and while they're the villain and all they clearly were important as well, they had their own part on the ride and appeared on the arcade game, yet zero merchandise found
Sentient Rambley sees it as unfair that they all don't get the same attention and that Lloyd is used much more than his friends, so he lashes out on him for that
It's also a funny contrast giving that MC favorite mascot was Lloyd
And also I think in the in-universe canon lore they get along a lot more, it's probably just sentient Rambley
I’m sorry but why does Kai always sound so damn proud of himself at the worse moment.
“Not so fast!” And he looks like as if that made him sound so cool.
Pretending his toothbrush is a sword and looking all smug as toothpaste flys around. I know for a fact Jay and Cole mocked him after that. Zane has to remind them that they got bested by a guy with a toothbrush (he has a full recording of the entire thing, it’s blackmail)
“A pillow!” This guy was like the second leader of the group for a good while, how’d we reach this point 😭
met a VERY charming lil friend yesterday who i have never (knowingly) seen before!!! 🖤💛
this is the Sequoia Pitch moth (Synanthedon sequoiae), yes, moth! these fascinating little creatures bear an incredible resemblance to members of the family Vespidae, like common paper wasps and yellowjackets, and that’s no simple coincidence!
the appearance of these moths is an example of Batesian mimicry, a type of mimicry where one species mimics the warning signals of another species, but without having the same harmful or undesirable defences.
in this case these moths look like they may give you a nasty sting, but really they’re about as harmless as a moth can be! (plus they have gorgeous slightly iridescent black-lined wings and fluffy little shrimp-like tails! absolute cuties!)
I decided to redraw some old crossover fanart from 2018 of underswap and soul eater
This was mostly spurred on due to recently deciding to re watch soul eater while being balls deep in an undertale phase.
I think when I originally drew this I (incorrectly) thought that swap sans and black star and then swap papyrus and soul eater had similar personalities. They very much don’t for the most part, and I assume the off interpretation was due to me only just having stumbled across undertale and it’s various aus at the time. I think in some isolated aspects they might have some similarity, but for the most part are all very different characters. I do however still think that they look super cool in the soul eater outfits so I guess they’re just cosplaying.
If I was to ever actually make a proper crossover au I’d put the characters in as their own selves but altered to fit the world rather than stuffing them into roles that don’t necessarily fit.
I’ve kinda been wanting to revisit this for a few years (at least the last two or three) so I’m glad I finally got around to it.
Here’s also the separated segments so you can see them bigger!
I’ll also pop the old version under the cut for comparison!
and I love that they're just so comfortable with each other there is no "hey what are you doing bro", Rhett just accepted Link's gonna sit in his lap and I love that.
Link is so fuckin adorable the way he jumps and squirms because he got scared and Rhett just keeps scaring him 🫠
Just found out that my only friends are transphobes...literally only they talk to me at school. only they treated me normally the whole year...
I was ready to come out as trans to them, but they are transphobic and use religion as an excuse... they say that god think its wrong or something like that and...wow one of them literally wrote an entire bible verse on the classroom board OUT OF NOWHERE saying that this was why trans people are wrong....
Idk what to do. Do i just pretend nothing happened and keep talking to em as "just a shy girl" or do i tell em the truth and get alone? Dear god...!!!!!
I can finish a lap size rag quilt in less than a week, twin size in about a week, queen size in two weeks. It's three layers of fabric, quilt-as-you-go, minimal piecing, and they are heavy. Excellent for cold weather and folks who like the weight of blankets but not weighted blankets.* These quilts aren't as hot as layers of fabric plus beads/pellets, and they breathe much more effectively. For a heavier rag quilt, it's a layer of denim and two layers of quilting cotton or flannel. I have a rag quilt for myself that's three layers of quilting cotton. My house is drafty and winters are full of rain, which means the cold sinks into your bones with the humidity. My husband keeps stealing my quilt because his man-cave is the coldest room in the house. He doesn't care that it's very feminine colors "because it's warm."
As for why it's called a rag quilt, here's a sample:
The top is the fluffy side with the exposed seams. Instead of a quarter inch seam allowance the seams under the fabric, it's a one inch seam allowance and the seams are exposed. Said seams are then cut at one inch intervals. With every washing, the seams get fuzzier and softer. They're fun to touch and feel really nice. It's also why these must be dried ALONE or all the strings will end up on whatever else is in the dryer. Three layers of fabric also means two rounds in the dryer on high heat (which is why I like using flannel rather than quilting cotton) or one round of high heat and hanging to dry for a couple hours.
The back looks like a more traditional quilt top and is often the side with denim on it if denim is used. The one is three layers of flannel and was a giveaway prize earlier this year, to celebrate meeting a ko-fi goal.
These are a delight to make and excellent for cold winters and drafty homes. Did I mention they're pretty heavy? The one I have, once all folded up, weighs about six pounds, and knocks my husband out within about ten minutes of him laying over himself. It's why I plan on making a rag quilt for him. He keeps stealing mine.
For context regarding prices, these take significantly less time to make. This one, a lap size, took just 14.5 hours, and that included the quilting. A traditional style baby quilt starts at $2125 because I have a lot more cutting and sewing, and I do the quilting by hand (though it will soon change due to soon having a machine I can use on my Cutie frame and do all my quilting on it), and can take 70-80 hours start to finish. I charge $27/hour + cost of materials to come to the final price.
*A PT I know hates weighted blankets because they cause a lot of injuries. People rolling in bed with a weighted blanket on them have ended up in physical therapy because of soft tissue tears. Most especially dangerous for people with EDS and other connective tissue conditions. Other injuries they've seen are from the pockets with the beads/pellets in them tearing open. Pets and small children have been known to choke on those, and folks who are heavy sleepers can also be injured if the pockets near their face tear in their sleep. When the beads/pellets get all over the floor, people fall and end up with serious injuries from that. Not to mention overheating under all of them because the material doesn't breathe well.
