genuinely did not realize there were so many in-game gaster enjoyers out there… obviously there’s always been a ton of affection for him in like a meme/headcanon sense even in the days of very early undertale fandom, but i feel like i never see anyone talking about the in-game dude except in a strictly lore context. i’ve never seen anyone just lay out a character analysis or whatever. im glad im not as crazy as i thought lol

#honestly im sure a lot of it is gaster fatigue which is entirely fair #i personally kept him at arm’s length for years for that exact reason #you see a theory or analysis that mentions gaster and the red flags immediately start flying #also it’s possible i spend too much time on like reddit/youtube where the theorycraft seems to be dominated by um. the edgier set #anyway the tumblr part of utdr fandom at least rules. given what a nightmare other fandoms seem to be i feel like i picked a good one #$ 666 mystery man lore hell #also i include my own gaster knight theory stuff in the red flags category to be clear lol #also wrt youtube i mean the commenters mostly. the big names are doing good work. halfbread/dorked/cunningham esp #and jaru brings interesting stuff to the table even when he’s got his crackpot (affectionate) hat on #tho i will never get over tragic sibling manslaughter dust ralsei theory
