hating ireland is an inevitable consequence of living here. heart emoji.
#its just that it is abysmally racist here#and while the donations to the choctaw and navajo nations are good deeds which helped people going through terrible things#where is that energy for travelers. where is that energy when people of color are targeted in the streets. by teens and adults#where is that energy for non white refugees and asylum seekers. where is it for homeless people#like the hypocrisy of a country that talks about its colonial past while still upholding racist and colonial structures every day. insane#honestly im just not. interested. in hearing stories about irish people reckoning with the famine which do not address#the way that ireland treats immigrants and refugees in similar situations.#like shut the fuck up#in all fairness im drunk but i feel this way when im sober as well
