ive been playin oot3d thanks to the bounties of the nintendo 3ds's afterlife and man. this is an old ass game huh. i can see how playing this at the time of its release, esp as a kid, would be fucking mindblowing, but as it is theres SO much of this game that feels so wholly stock. this is ofc because it was so fucking good at the time of release that every video game afterwards was irreversibly warped by the sheer fucking gravity of oot, but going back to it is like going back to a stone wheel after riding on goodyear tires your whole life. functional, even enjoyable, but pretty fuckin old.

that said people who say mario 64 has aged poorly are the absolute fucking devil
