Hi hi 👋🏻
I’d love to do an Obey Me! matchup trade. Side note - I’ve been eyeing Tokyo Debunker, and your writing has convinced me to give it a try too!
A few notes about me…
She/her, bisexual/heteroromantic
Appearance: 5’2, trim body, long wavy brunette hair, blue eyes, warm complexion. Celeb lookalike I get the most is Emilia Clarke (which always makes my day!)
Personality: Extroverted introvert - I need lots of chill time, but I also really enjoy social events and meeting diverse groups of people. Optimist, though I do struggle with anxiety sometimes. My loved ones say I am thoughtful, kind, and intelligent.
Values: The most important things in life to me are spending quality time with my loved ones and pursuing my passions/things that bring me joy.
Love Languages: Physical touch, acts of service, gifts
Interests: I love discovering new interests, so I’m pretty multifaceted in this department! Traveling, reading, photography, cooking, baking, scuba diving, camping, fishing, horseback riding, anime, gaming, K-pop and J-pop are my most consistent interests. I’m also a film and commercial actor!
Fun Facts: Japan is my favorite country to visit, though I also really love Norway and France! I grew up on a farm, but prefer to live in cities with the ability to retreat to the countryside whenever I need to disengage. My guilty pleasure is having ice cream or bubbly in the shower (hot shower + cold treat = perfect balance!). I cry super easily at movies, books, and weddings. I was valedictorian of my college finance class, but my job has nothing to do with my degree and I’ve honestly forgotten 75% of what I learned in school 😅
Partnership: I value a partner who is thoughtful, adventurous, empathetic, affectionate, and passionate. I’m attracted to confident people who have something unique or unconventional about themselves, and who are unshakably confident in their feelings for me. I don’t care what my partner’s job, education, or social class is - what’s on the inside and how we make each other feel is what’s important.
Thanks so much for the matchup! I can’t wait to make your match too!
Xoxo,
Kaede
It seems to me you've captured the heart of...
Diavolo!
One thing that really stood out to me was your adventurous nature, and I KNEW Diavolo would be the perfect match for you. Thoughtful, kind, and intelligent are words that people use to describe you, and Diavolo agrees. Your love for travelling and making new friends is a testament to that. He quite likes your optimism, and in the event your anxiety threatens to get the better of you, Diavolo will help you out.
Even if you have forgotten much of what you learned in university, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that you are pretty eloquent and really good at keeping track of things, and frankly, Diavolo would love that about you, and would fall even harder for you when he gets the chance to see that in action. A lot of his values overlap with your own, so that's another bonus. Spending time with loved ones? Check. Adventurous? Check. Empathetic? Check. Passionate? Check. Having unique quirks? Check. Hotel? Trivago.
He finds your guilty pleasure of enjoying a cold treat in a warm shower quite cute, so he'll ask Barbatos to spoil you with the finest treats. Might even ask you to enjoy them with him in a hot tub.
As for your love languages, it's quite uncanny how much they overlap with his own. Diavolo's pretty touch starved, so please give him lots of cuddles. Any gift you get him, he will cherish. And you know he's going to put in a lot of thought for the gifts he will gift you.
As for your interests, he would love to discover new things with you, and since he's already dabbled in some of the interests you have picked up, he'll be happy to tell you some things he'd learned also.
Your relationship will be full of fun and adventures, and of course, lots of emotional and intellectual stimulation. Truly this is the ideal match for you, in my opinion.

All the colors!!
Link to the original post so you can reblog it yourself :)
zinc white: how are you really feeling today? no one-word answers please!
Better now than I was the first time I answered this because I got my work done, but still pretty burnt out.
cadmium yellow: when you think of the word “happy” what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
Writing.
lemon: what’s your comfort food?
Homemade fried rice is my go to.
hansa yellow: what’s your guilty pleasure song?
I mentioned previously that I don’t really have a guilty pleasure song bc I’m pretty open about all the music I listen to, but one song I will scream out is Take On Me by Aha
yellow ochre: name an artist/band whom you just discovered & can’t get enough of!
I didn’t just discover her, but Tanerélle...her music is so good and she’s so hot..I’m gay
naples yellow: where do you feel most at home?
San Jose’s Japantown on the weekend of Obon.
raw sienna: with whom do you feel most at home?
With my closest friends.
golden ochre: describe the relationship you have with your closest friend.
I don’t think I have a “closest” friend, but my relationship with my group is pretty casual. We send each other things that remind us of one another, we joke and have fun together but we’re there for one another...I’d trust them with my life.
golden deep: what’s your favorite season?
Over the Garden Wall Season Fall. I love the crispness in the air, the colors, the foods...it’s all so good.
cadmium orange: what do you like to do on your days off?
I write so much. I honestly can’t remember my last day off.
orange lake: do you have anyone you can turn to when you’re sad?
I think so. I always worry that I’m putting too much on someone but I also trust my friends to assert their boundaries when they need it.
titans: do you prefer slow mornings or relaxing evenings?
Relaxing evenings. But I’ll take quiet mornings over both of them.
shakhnazaryan red: are you currently binge-watching anything?
Nope. I might rewatch otgw though.
red ochre: are you more right-brained (creative) or left-brained (analytical)?
My dad would say left brained, my mom would say right brained. I agree with my mom.
burnt sienna: is there a painting that brings you peace when you look at it?
Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Both the more famous one and Starry Night over the Rhône:
english red: what animal do you relate to most?
Owls.
vermilion: what’s your favorite accent?
I grew up listening to and speaking Hawaiian Pidgin at home. I’ve lost the language, but hearing it soothes me.
cadmium red: do you have a “type” when it comes to a significant other?
Tall dark and handsome Capricorns regardless of gender. I’ve dated three people who fit this profile and liked seven others. I didn’t know any of them were Capricorn’s until after I liked them.
scarlet: describe your current crush/es.
I actually don’t have one. Unless you count the celeb crush I have on one of my mutuals on twitter akdbrbrb
ruby: what does your ideal first date look like?
Honestly I like lowkey, so probably a coffee shop date or doing something fun like bowling. Maybe if the first activity goes well we can hit a museum or botanical garden then get a quick bite (like in’n’out) after. God I’m so stereotypical skfbrbr
carmine: what does your ideal second date look like?
Definitely a botanical garden or museum if we haven’t already, then a slightly nicer dinner. This is not a high standard. A Chili’s counts.
madder lake red: would you ever kiss someone (or accept a kiss) on a first date?
I mean. I have in the past so. Akdbrbvtbr I’ve kissed people I haven’t even been dating nor interested in romantically! It’s 2020 lemme kiss my friends!
rose: what’s something really positive going on in your life right now?
Honestly Hidden Horns. It’s been so much fun to work on.
quinacridone rose: what’s something you’re really looking forward to?
Seeing my friends and family again. On top of everything going on right now, I live in a different state than my friends and extended family. I miss them.
violet rose: what does your dream house look like?
Not too large. Something with a bedroom for me and my significant other, a guest bedroom, a nice bathroom and a very nice kitchen. Ideally something with a nice view and large windows where I could watch the sun rise and set.
violet: is there any place in particular you’d like to settle down?
Honestly I’d love to move back to California somewhere. Either somewhere near my hometown, or in Southern California
blue lake: what would you like to do/accomplish before you settle down?
I’d like to publish a book to be honest.
cobalt blue spectral: what is the most beautiful place you have ever been to?
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to Japan on a trip sponsored by the Japanese government. Words really cannot describe how beautiful Japan is.
The first picture is of Odaiba, in Tokyo. The second row is from a small fishing town in Hokkaido. Those are the only picture I had of it that didn’t have a ton of people in them.
The last picture is from the 45th floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Building in Shinjuku Tokyo. The picture doesn’t do it justice. For how bright the lights were, the stars were out in full force. It was hard to tell where the buildings ended and the sky began.
ultramarine: when was the last time you were in a good mood? do you know/remember what sparked it?
Earlier this evening my dog played with three other dogs.
blue: what’s the most recent dream you remember?
I was choking last night. That’s all I remember.
bright blue: what does your dream family look like? any kids or pets? how many of each?
I’m married to my lovely wife, and we have two kids, a boy and a girl. We also have a dog named Meatball.
blue cobalt: do you like your name? would you give yourself a different name if you could?
My mom chose my name and my brother chose my American name based off a character in an kid’s show. I wouldn’t change them for the world.
prussian azure: what’s your favorite scent?
Fresh bread, the smell before and after it rains, redwood, cinnamon, lavender.
azure blue: what’s your favorite type of tea, if any?
I grew up on genmaicha. It’s a type of green tea that’s brewed with roasted brown rice, which mellows out the bitterness and adds an earthy flavor.
turquoise blue: if you could start a garden, what would you plant?
Snapdragons definitely. They’re my favorite flower. Probably some tulips, gardenias, carnations, violas and lavender as well. For herbs, peppermint, basil, thyme and chives. And probably an apple tree.
cerulean blue: if you were guaranteed to have a viewership, would you start a youtube vlog?
I mean it’s a form of income so I’d be down.
glauconite: describe your body without using any negative adjectives.
I’m tall and broad shouldered, with a long torso and long arms. I’m a bit busty. I’ve got violin hips, strong calves, and solid thighs. I walk on my toes. I have high cheekbones, pursed lips, and almond eyes framed with long lashes.
yellow green: picture yourself walking in a field. what do you see & hear in this scenario?
I’m on a rolling hill of wild grass and wildflowers. The grass shimmers and ripples like the surface of the sea in the breeze. Through it, I see a blanket laid out under a California Oak tree. I can hear the wind, and birds in the distance.
green light: are you in a comfortable place in life? if not, what do you think might make it better?
Kind of? I’m stable enough bc I’m living with my parents, but I’m also closeted. I’m hoping to move out soon.
green: name three countries you want to visit; do you have any actual plans in place to visit any of them?
I’d love to go back to Japan, see New Zealand and visit the Basque Country in Spain. I don’t have any plans to though, I don’t have money for that.
emerald green: do you speak any languages besides english? are there any additional languages you want to learn?
My grasp on Japanese is pathetic and I’ve lost my pidgin. I’d love to regain them.
oxide of chromium: what’s your favorite book?
Chronicles of Prythian.
olive green: are you currently reading anything? how do you like it so far?
The Shape Of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch. It’s so painful but cathartic.
mars brown: what’s a movie that always puts a smile on your face/makes you laugh?
Emperor’s New Groove!
burnt umber: what’s something you plan to do before the day is over to take care of yourself?
Sleep.
umber: have you drank enough water today?
...no
voronezhskaya black: what or who is your go-to outlet for when you need to vent?
Either a friend or my second twitter ajdbfb
sepia: name five things that always make you happy.
Seeing my friends.
People commenting on my writing.
Seeing people like things I made for them.
Watching Lilo and Stitch.
Listening to my shitty nostalgia playlist.
indigo: what’s the best/sweetest compliment you have ever received?
I mentioned this before but my professor and mentor figure described me to her colleague as “fast to laugh, even faster to smile”. I also had someone tell me I had a genuine gift for writing and that my piece moved them to tears after they read a Nonfiction piece I wrote.
payne’s gray: describe your aesthetic?
Something out of a Hozier song. Things being reclaimed by nature. Earth tones. Misty forests. Knives. Ornate clothing.
Alternately: young hot suburban dad who all the moms have a crush on.
black: post a selfie because you are so beautiful!

it’s your favorite bitches, @pixilated and @laprincessa here and ready to rock your world. we don’t care if you read it or not, the rest of the world already has.
The Red Carpet Review with @pixilated
While some went unnoticed (I can’t tell if those were intentional or not), there were definitely some looks. With every celeb on the red carpet dying to make an impression, some unfortunately are destined to miss the mark-- the Carrington’s Gala was no exception. Now, I present to you last weekend’s best and worst dressed.
WORST: Sarah Park
No one would disagree with us when we say that Sarah looked like absolute literal trash, and sweetie, she can’t even challenge us on this one. We get it, you love the environment. Showing up to the red carpet in a dress made of trash was a power move, Ms. Park. There’s something fishy about this whole demonstration, but I’ll let @laprincessa tell you all about that. This dress didn’t even last the whole night, so structurally it was not sound. We applaud you for having the balls for wearing this as your red carpet look, I don’t think anyone else could have pulled it off.
BEST: Tyler Henry
Not a big surprise here, with all the money this girl has we expected nothing less. We’re almost positive that this dress costs less than the rock on her finger anyways. Henry also wore a stunning shade of green with her tiff toward Ms. Duffy and quite possibly a slightly different shade of green later that night due to her consumption of champagne-- eight or nine glasses would definitely make me sick. Thankfully for Ms. Henry, pink and green are complementary colors, so there’s no need to call the fashion police on this one.
WORST: Drew Koenig
*Yawn* Guess we should have seen this one coming considering the Koenig’s past with their money loss, maybe they are just trying to be more fiscally responsible, who knows. However, we know some better ways to be fiscally responsible-- especially for an underwear model. Showing up in #hiscalvins would have been a look, but instead we’re left with this lackluster appearance.
BEST: Willa Duffy
Time and again, Willa Duffy does not fail to impress-- it’s no wonder she’s continuously at the top of everyone’s radar. She dazzled everyone at the gala with this blue and gold number, Ms. Duffy you truly looked like a princess. Flora and Merryweather probably fought less than @laprincessa and I did on who was best dressed -- pink or blue! We just couldn’t settle on Ms. Duffy or Ms. Henry for the title, we’ll let them settle that in their own time, we just wanted to add a little more fuel to the fire between those two.
WORST: Charlie Carrington
Oh Carrington, it seems like a cop out to just get a handkerchief to match your girl. Maybe Ms. Henry was too indecisive about her look that you settled for something simple. Your name wasn’t even on the invitation, little Charlie, and your suit didn’t make you standout either.
@laprincessa: Que decepción, I honestly expected more of you Carrington, especialmente cuando your fiance is a fashion icon, tsk tsk communication is key darlings! Let me take this time to express my utter disappointment with men in high society always showing up in the same old somber tones, in the same old boring suits. The fashion world is always moving forward and you have the money to really show up and represent. Explore with colors, patterns and textures! Floral is not just for the ladies, gentlemen-- the more vibrant the color the more impressive you stand out. Stop boring me to tears with the same old suit and tie.
BEST: Jared Caldwell
That brings me to the best dressed guy, which goes to New Money Caldwell. Let me just fangirl about this this man for a second, can you tell that I just absolutely love him. Sure no one really knows who he is and he’s just a nerdy guy who made the hottest app, but if he ghosted me I would be heartbroken. I can see why Martha was all over this man, look at that t e x t u r e. Boys, you need to take a few notes in your book from him. THIS is how you rock a gala look.
WORST: Victoria Sparks
There’s nothing awful about this look, in fact the only one who really swung and missed was Ms. Park, but there’s nothing that really stands out either. I think we were all on the edge of our seats to see if your date would be your mother. I wonder if you’re feeling well, with your dreamy, far-off look and your nose stuck in a book-- what a puzzle to the rest of us is well, Ms. Sparks. I should have expected this from New York’s Sweetheart who has been flying under the radar, but we’re dying to know why your personality is still missing when you are back in the big apple with mommy dearest.
BEST: Juniper Winslow
Such a classic look from Ms. Winslow, it brings me back to the Juni: Princess of the Galaxy days! You really were a star. Thank goodness you didn’t have a fashion disaster tonight, but it’s such a shame your ex-mans was at the gala too. You really seemed on edge, Juni. The class the dress brought definitely compensated for the mess that followed.
BEST: Sarah Park
Hats off to you Ms. Park for not only receiving worst dressed, but also receiving the best dressed. While it wasn’t your red carpet look, you definitely turned some heads with this one too. Your transition from the trash in our ocean to your sandy sparkly look was not only touching, but inspiring. Congrats from your two faves-- oh and tell your bestie that #TimesUp on the fashion trend she tried to bring to the gala.
No Me Digas! con @laprincessa
Now you all know we love our fashion opinions, but what we thirst is more than what our fellow socialites were wearing. We thirst for the knowledge of what they are doing and subsequently hiding. Good thing is... we know all, we see all and my, my, my! What juicy content do we have to share.
While so many of you flew under the radar, stuck to the walls or hidden in the corners, some of you truly saved this gala from being a total snoozefest. I for one, was ready to post some secrets just to have a reaction from all those in attendance, but early on it was easy to spot that things were bound to get interesting.
Let me start with the ever so fabulous Tyler Henry. Mija, you were a total mess. The woman who has everything-- the wealth, good genes, the rock on her finger with the handsome man at her side-- started guzzling down champagne like it was water. What could possibly warrant Ms. Henry to act impulsively on the night of her soon-to-be family’s gala? My sources say that daddy dearest broke a promise and the Henry’s wholesome family unit was minus one. The night just kept getting better as Ms. Henry decided to up the ante and get into not one but two major confrontations.
The First: #theAutocrat vs #theVisionary
While we agree that Ms. Sarah Park was a total eyesore in that, for lack of a better term-- trashy dress, was it really necessary to ruin it? Now before all you Tyler-stans get all defensive here are the facts. The two ladies were spotted having a quarrel, it wouldn’t surprise me if the camera crew got all the juicy details of what was said. All I know is that the back-and-forth reached the point where Ms. Henry was seen pulling in the Carrington’s guest speaker real close, and not for the steamy reasons we’re all hoping for, and as Ms. Park pulled away... oops! Her dress was falling apart and Tyler was left with plastic in her hands. Seems pretty incriminating to me. In the end I feel like I should thank Tyler, Sarah was forced to change and I ended up getting a delectable view of her banging body.
@pixilated: Hey! #TeamTyler over here and I wouldn’t say that miss-horny-for-change can get away without pointing a few fingers at her. No one would believe it, but rumor has it Ms. Park could have had a few tricks up her sleeve and wanted Ms. Henry to rip her dress all along. Hell, I’d want that dis-gus-ting thing off of me too. Tyler did warn her never to call her by that godforsaken nickname. Seems like she was set-up to have the perfect alibi, but that’s just my cup of tea.
Since @pixilated has already revealed herself to be in #TeamTyler I guess I can go ahead and reveal that while I’m not on any teams yet, I do have a soft spot for Sarah Park. She had the guts to embarrass herself in front of all the who’s who of New York because her love of activism ran stronger than the need to look good. She’s constantly using her privilege for the greater good and I can’t help but admire that. Not even a wardrobe malfunction could slow her down. Ms. Park was right on time to perform her speech and the outpouring of support confirmed what we all know, this girl is on fire. Was it just me or did any of you notice how her speech even used her dress falling apart to her advantage? Ms. Park is one smart cookie, good thing she seems like she wants to help the world and not ruin it. And as Selena Gomez always said, “everything is not what it seems.” *queue theme song here*
The Second: #theAutocrat vs #theModel
You’d think I would be so over the drama between these two, but I can’t help it! They are my guilty pleasure and they always indulge me. I wonder whatever compelled Tyler Henry to approach Willa Duffy in the first place? Was Willa enchanting too many guests? Was she taking too much of the spotlight? Or was it because Willa was looking a little too cute laughing up a storm with Charles Carrington himself? Whatever the reason was, Ms. Henry was seven drinks too many in and confronting Willa Duffy in front of the whole gala!! Scandalous! I know I felt a shiver of excitement when I saw that showdown happening. These queens of New York were both so formidable with their consistent, calculated clapbacks, but it was apparent that the Queen Bee, Ms. Henry, stung Ms. Duffy one too many times. It's amazing to imagine how they could rule the whole city if they only joined forces once again. I know, I know, never gonna happen! It's the dreamer in me I can’t help it. Anyways, much like Tyler’s first confrontation, Willa left the scene first and while in many instances that would be a win. Is it really a win to act like a drunken fool in front of all your fiance’s family and esteemed guests? So who’s the real winner here? We are of course! We would like to thank Charlie for quite literally making the whole Tyler drama sweeter by removing her from the premise to grab a scoop to forget her stand-up dad.
So much time spent on Ms. Henry it’s safe to say she’s our Scandal of the Week. But there are so many who also caught our interest never fear!
Ms. Duffy where is your shadow? Consider us shocked at not seeing the Duffy twins attached at the hip. We know he was there or did he bail out before the party even got started? Perhaps it’s a good thing, we can’t imagine you would have charmed as many guests with your demon of a brother at your side.
Drew Koenig, your foolish, misogynistic attempts to win over Bella De La Rosa Lopez did not go unnoticed. You might like your women like you like your drinks, “sweet and a little spicy,” but I’ve heard Bella likes her men how most people like their wine. Luck for us, Ms. De La Rosa ended her night dancing with Ms. Duffy and not with the likes of you.
@pixilated: Some advice for Charlie Carrington, if you want people to respect your relationship with Tyler Henry, you best not be seen chatting it up and getting comfortable with her sworn enemy. Maybe he’s just trying to keep their enemies close.
My girl here has a point, we’ve been told that the Duffy’s and the Carrington’s have been friends for years but there is such a thing as loyalty to your loved one no? On the other hand there is something so cute seeing two friends laughing up a storm. The real truth here is that I’m a messy bitch and I live for this drama.
@pixilated: And one final word to the wise-- the Marthas of the world better throw caution to the wind and watch their back, I’m tryna steal your mans <3
I don’t know pixie, Jared seems pretty enamored with the one, the only, Willa Duffy, are the Marthas of the world the real threat here?
@pixilated: I don’t care who you are, if you have heart eyes for Jared Caldwell, I suggest wearing shades so I can’t pick you out of a crowd.
This concludes our honest review. If you didn’t see yourself mentioned don’t get comfortable, either you didn’t do anything worthy of a mention which *yawn* or we’re biding our time to comment on all the messy things you do. Both options make me want to spill all your deep dark secrets but my partner says waiting is key to ultimate satisfaction.
Until next time,
xoxo

crowns task 6 // aileen o’conor
name: aileen ciara o’conor
place of birth / date of birth: 20th may 1985. aileen was born in dublin, ireland at the same hospital as all of her cousins, her big sister and her niece. naturally.
star sign: taurus
sexual orientation: heterosexual/romantic
relationship status: single, feels like she doesn’t have the time to start a relationship with work and aine.
religion: was christened catholic at home. she doesn’t follow it strictly but still finds comfort sometimes in prayer and goes home every easter/christmas etc to celebrate the holidays with her family.
spoken languages: speaks english and also knows gaelic conversationally but doesn’t really use it. also knows french and spanish and could probably get by in basic conversations.
lives: in primrose hill in a yellow terrace house with aine and her cat, named crumpet after aine’s favourite breakfast food.
drives: she got her license back in ireland when she was 17 before she left for uni and does own a secondhand jeep that she loves but hardly ever gets to drive it in london. mostly uses the tube to get around and to and from work.
occupation: practising human rights law in a london firm near kings cross.
education: up to degree level. studied llb (hons) law (european and international) at sheffield where she also got her masters whilst working as a paralegal up there.
parents / brief family history: grew up in a very happy and close family. her parents owned the popular local so aileen and her sister kathleen grew up above a pub and they loved it. the regulars were also slipping the sisters packets of crisps or ‘tipping’ them a couple of euros to take their glasses to the bar. both the sisters had their first saturday jobs there of course. leaving her family to go to university in the uk was terrifying for aileen because she had to leave her family behind, and was especially difficult when her sister’s husband died and left her with a newborn baby. not long after, kathleen and aileen’s dad died in a car accident and it broke her heart. still, she took aine in and the family are gradually moving past this tragedy, though there will always be a hole.
tattoos/piercings: aileen only has one piercing on each lobe. has a four leaf clover tattooed on her ankle, also has sunflowers on her right side.
fashion sense: aileen likes to experiment with her fashion and actually does try to follow trends despite not having the time to go out and shop most of the time and when she does it’s always for aine. she’s a girly girl, loves a skater dress, lot’s of florals and pastel colours and has a guilty pleasure high heel collection. wears a lot of pencil skirts for work with cute frilly blouses. accessorises with scarves in her hair and owns a lot of jewellery, loves a chunky necklace and bangles. on the weekends she’s very bo-ho and does have three leather satchels that all pretty much look the exact same.
music: she’s an 80′s girl at heart okay. loved bowie and michael jackson, george michael (she loves wham pls), bon jovi, queen, journey, fleetwood mac, madonna. anything soft rock and she’s there. b*witched were her youth tbh and she met them once at home and freaked out like a fifteen year old. anyone irish and she’ll listen to them even if they’re shit. hates galway girl, thinks it’s the worst song she’s ever heard.
sleeping habits: aileen sleeps like the dead all the time. only wakes up when aine literally jumps on her back otherwise would sleep through the whole of sunday. she’s an old soul, so aileen is usually in bed by 9 and either stays up to read a book or watches trash tv, loves i’m a celeb and big brother especially, also a secret towie and made in chelsea addict. honestly as long as she has a cup of tea before bed then she’ll go out like a light pretty easy. has to get her eight hours or she’s proper moody.
eating habits: look she’s basically a football mum okay. so she does her best to make sure that her three year old niece gets all she needs. i’m talking five a day, no fizzy drinks in the house, only drinks water and milk but on the weekends she cracks and it’s dinosaur nuggets, potato waffles and beans because you can’t be good all the time. does her best to have three meals a day, always strives to have breakfast with aine and to get home in time to have dinner too since aine spends most of the day with a nanny she feels she owes it to her to be there for mealtimes. oh and she bakes, god does she BAKE.
social media: isn’t a huge social media person. she keeps facebook updated mostly for the sake of her mum, so she can see what her daughter and granddaughter are up to in england. does have instagram and it’s mostly cute pics of aine or inspirational quotes, or dorky selfies tbh. snapchat is an utter loss to her and she literally only uses twitter to keep up to date with news and pop culture. has tweeted a few times but she mostly retweets cat videos or chrissy teigen, and she loves baking twitter.
hobbies: aileen loves to read, will literally read anything tbh but loves a good sappy romance novel because she’s still and always will be, a hopeless romantic. she loves to cook and on weekends aine is her little helper in the kitchen, where they make a ridiculous amount of cakes for two people to be able to finish. so aileen often has to bring in cakes to work which her office does not mind at all. still loves to sing, karaoke is her favourite thing ever though she misses dueting with kat. used to play piano, fiddle and the violin but doesn’t really have time for it now. loves going for a run round the park, recently joined a mummy and me class with aine at the local parish centre. still knits, because she’s a grandma.
cologne / perfume: PRADA CANDY EAU DE PARFUM. “to embody this explosive femininity, miuccia prada wanted an excessive fragrance with too much of everything. the Prada style oriental eau de parfum is a unique signature in keeping with the traditions of high perfumery, combining laotian benzoin, a synthetic caramel accord and a more neutral cocktail of musk.”
hogwarts house: obviously aileen is hufflepuff, there’s just no sidestepping it. she’s loyal and always works hard to get where she wants to be. doesn’t believe in having anything handed to you and things you need to earn it. she’s kind to a fault, has a heart of gold and she wears it proudly on her sleeve even if that gets her hurt more often than not. some might call her naive, but she’d argue she’s just optimistic.
#crowns.task6#crowns.auweek#( * aileen | modern. )#sO i changed aileens job#because i wasn't feeling journalist for her tbh#and i re-read her intro#and she's so into law#and in au she can actually Be a lawyer so!!#my baby bringing justice

Queens We Love: Athena Dion
ATHENA DION: THE PEOPLE’S QUEEN
Q: What was the first drag show you saw? Tell us about the experience?
A: Well, there was a weekend when I was just barely 18 and my good girlfriend decided to take me to a few gay clubs since I had never been to one before. We hit up the Coliseum in Ft. Lauderdale on a Friday and then Azucar in Miami on a Saturday, and all I wanted to do was watch the shows. Shortly after that, I went to Discotekka and saw Vegas Dion perform and completely shut down the club! I think she did Show Me Love. When she finished, she proceeded to grab the microphone and demand the crowd applause louder, and did they ever! I was completely “shook” in my skinny jeans! She terrified me and aroused me all at the same time. I think that’s when the drag bug really sunk its teeth into me. Of course, that night I also saw TP Lords perform and Gina Diangelo, and I was sold! After that I became such a big drag fan and drag junkie, I needed a fix every weekend!
Q: When did you decide you wanted to do drag and when did you realize it would be a profession?
A: Drag was calling my name from birth. In my youth, probably like many other young gay boys, I remember playing dress up in my mom’s clothes, fascinated by her makeup, trying it on when no one was around, kissing the mirror with lipstick, etc. It wasn’t until after the brutality of puberty and the glorious post-coming out era that I realized I could actually play dress-up in real life, too. It was after ending a relationship with a very famous local drag queen that I started to dive into drag myself. Fresh out the gate I got booked at the hottest club in Ft. Lauderdale at the time, Living Room nightclub, as the door hostess. Working that door and interacting with the club-goers came like second nature to me. I loved the attention, I loved the interaction, I loved the persona and the people’s response! I resonated very well with the community and my popularity began to rise. One thing led to another and I was starting to get more work in drag and that’s when I realized I didn’t want to give this new-found hobby up anytime soon.
Q: Who is your drag mother and who is your favorite queen other than your drag mother — and why?
A: My drag parents and biggest mentors and idols are Vegas Dion and Erika Norell. Their creativity, originality, versatility and stage presence are like no other. They are the best in the biz in my eyes and I feel like I’m a good combo of the two of them. We share so much in common on stage and off stage and we really have an amazing family dynamic. I am very proud of them and all of their accomplishments and so thankful to have had their guidance throughout my life. But, my absolute favorite drag queen since my youth has been Adora. She is literally the only drag queen that has ever moved me to tears with a performance. Her aesthetic, her movement, her embodiment and portrayal of the characters she is imitating is always so spot on. She is a living, breathing work of timeless art and I feel she is truly the essence of Miami Beach drag culture. It’s been so surreal in the past few years to have worked with her so much, and we have actually become close friends. Yet, as close as we can be, I am still like a child in awe whenever I see her perform. She’s my fave! I adore Adora!
Q: What’s your favorite number to perform — and why?
A: I have a few faves. I love to perform anything by Pink, although Gloria Estefan has to be my favorite to perform, especially here in Miami. I started drag because of the South Beach drag scene and how fierce it was, so to perform a diva like Gloria on South Beach is like drag heaven for me. I have a great medley of all her songs that I do. I also love her newer stuff like Hotel Nacional and Wepa. Even though Cher is my favorite artist, I really don’t perform her much. My guilty drag pleasure is a good Cher impersonator!
Q: What’s the best thing that has happened to you in drag?
A: This is a tough question. Drag has taught me a lot about myself and what I value personally and in the people around me. I have met tons of celebs in the club scene, and I was even fortunate enough to have Leona Lewis sing happy birthday to me a few years ago. I also got a chance to meet and chat with Chaz Bono. Last year, some of my sisters and I ended up on national TV featured on America’s Got Talent with the opportunity to impersonate the Spice Girls. That was so cool. I mean, there are tons of memories that were awesome, but I feel like the best and most rewarding has been the power I have found though drag to change lives. Recently I worked with Jackson Memorial Hospital’s burn unit and had a “Glam Day” with some of their burn survivors. These girls had suffered from severe burn damage and the center invited me in to show some makeup tips and basically have a fun makeup day. Well, it turned into much more than that. It was an amazing experience that opened my eyes to the power I possess as a drag queen and as a person. It goes beyond the fame and the glamor when I realized I can actually make a real lasting difference in people’s lives with what I do! That realization, inspiration, and motivation has been the best thing to happen to me in drag, to date.
Q: What differentiates you from other Queens (Makes you Unique)?
A: I’m the people’s queen! The main thing that sets me apart is my personality and my love to be a hostess! I really get my thrills from being in a crowd of people, meeting everyone, talking, asking questions, taking shots together. I love to perform and be on stage but much more than that I’m a people’s queen. I love to be in the mix. It’s so bad that my close friends hate going out with me because I never stand in one place, I’m always bouncing around talking to everyone! But I think that makes for a good host, and a good party… to be social, make them feel welcome, and be the person that they want to come out and have a good time with! Thankfully it comes naturally to me.
Q: What does the future hold?
A: The future is so bright! I look back and see the footprints I have left in the sand, and I look forward and see a never-ending shore! I can honestly say I see a shift from my work from the nightlife world onto a more meaningful path. Working with the burn survivors really changed my focus, and I want to use everything I have learned and my platform to expand the visibility onto heavier issues. I feel we have so many talented people in our community and if we focus those talents in the right way, we can change the world together. There’s no better time to change the world than the present!

2016 CHEERS
When you talk about 2016, at some point you’re going to bring up The Reaper. The Reaper was the star of the year.
He looks menacing doesn’t he? Or is it a she?
I sometimes wonder if we get certain imagery wrong. Kinda like with the Devil. We usually depict Satan as something like this
- but honestly, would you be tricked into doing evil by something that looked like that? I see that red beast, and I’m confident that evil is close by... I ain’t going anywhere near that! - I’m especially not going to listen to it. Now this imagery, on the other hand…
I’d be ready to be tricked into pretty much anything by that… just sayin. Maybe The Reaper is cuter than usually imagined.
Anyway, The Reaper took a lot of celebs from us in 2016: The one that impacted me the most was Prince.
Prince = cool. Despite dressing like this throughout generations
He reigns in the cool department. Plus, Purple Rain… my fav song of all time. RIP Speaking of colorful characters – George Michael.
It’s funny – back in the 80’s if you listened to George Michael and dressed like George Michael, and you said that you were straight, people would believe you. Today, if you were to dress like George Michael and blast his music everywhere you go, people would see it as your coming-out party. I read the story of his struggles – very sad. It ruined my own false image of him. I always thought George Michael lived “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” – just a bunch of happy people dancing and singing around his mansion… I picture his mansion looking like the background of a Care Bears episode.
But… that wasn’t his life at all; very depressing. Then, again, Idk why we’re surprised by death… especially in the entertainment industry. It’s one of the few beliefs that we all hold to - The Reaper is coming for us all and does not have any biases.
Young, old, male, female, rich, poor, boring, or colorful (like my false image of him) - The Reaper is lurking around closer than we all think.
Now that we’ve gotten the star of the show out of the way, let’s remember some other highlights: Leo & Oscars so white –
Leo is one of my bromances, but let’s be honest: Titanic, The Great Gatsby, Wolf of Wall Street, Departed, Catch me if you can, even Django…. I felt guilty liking his character in that movie, but out of all of these, he wins that coveted award for getting his ass handed to him by a bear. And as far as the Oscars are concerned… they’re STILL so white. I hope Jada is getting another protest video ready. I think there should be a Black People Segment in the Oscars. A time when black people in the biz can say what’s on their minds, tell you who should have won, share what goes on behind the scenes in the struggle... and remind everybody that there are more black people in Hollywood than Denzel and Will Smith. Beyonce made Lemonade –
Women everywhere united over this project as Beyonce rips into cheaters. I think this is a great idea. If you have problems in your relationships, don’t talk it out, instead get into the studio. “But, baby, I’m sorry.”
Response: “And I forgive, but I’m still going to let you have it when my album drops at the end of the month.”
Kanye –
A whole year of craziness. It’s a shame, because “The Life of Pablo” is good, but now overshadowed by his poor choices. Remember the ‘Famous” video with the naked celeb wax figures? I’m still not sure whether that’s illegal or not. Let’s say you come over to my place and see a naked figure of yourself chillin on my bed – would you be cool with that?
Pokemon Go!
We all know somebody who took this game too far. “Honey, don’t move! Yeah, yeah, we’ll get back to sexy time in a minute, but right now there’s a Psyduck on your leg… DON”T MOVE – I’ve almost got it!”
Brangelina –
I hate divorce (especially for the kids), but I don’t feel sorry for them. They’re both rich, successful, and hot. Either one of them could show up to a wedding ceremony and take the bride or groom to-be away. They’ll both be just fine. Do we have any pop star married couples left? Beyonce and Jay don’t count, cuz after Lemonade came out… who knows what’s going on there. Homer and Marge? Peter and Lois? It’s a shame that we can only count on animated celeb marriages staying together.
Comic Book Movies! They need their own category at the Oscars! Civil War was my personal fav! But I can’t talk about the best and forget the worst… Batman v Superman. I was angry for a whole month after I saw that movie. I remember randomly ranting in the middle of work days…. Just out of nowhere! “John, what do you think about this marketing strategy?” Me: “AND ANOTHER THING ABOUT THAT MOVIE…!!!” I never thought it was possible to actually crush a soul, but this movie found a way to do it to me.
Stranger Things Phenomenon
If you haven’t watched this show yet, then shame on you. You gotta catch this lightning in a bottle while you can, before these kids grow up, and their careers turn into drugs and porn. Drake
I’m baffled by Drake. He was once one of my favorite rappers. Then he started dancing…. badly. And he leaned into it to. He didn’t care that people were making fun of him. He looked like… y’all remember that cartoon “A Pup named Scooby Doo.”? And the kids would take dance breaks?
Drake would fit right in with them (look it up, and you’ll see where he got his moves).
His music got whiny.
He started annoying basketball players on the sidelines while wearing a Doris Burke shirt. Some of y’all are like “Who the hell is Doris Burke?” – exactly! But, now he’s with JLo, so… maybe things are looking up. Though it DOES make me question JLo’s judgment. You see a man who has lost his edge (and possibly his way – career wise), he’s dancing with Scooby Doo and the gang, and he’s wearing obscure white women on his chest… and you say to yourself “I’ve gotta have me some of that!” - Something is wrong with you.
But… maybe she’ll be good for him, and get him back to form.
Kim Kardashian got tied up and robbed
- which spawned this Halloween costume to be sold.
Assholes! We’re a nation of assholes.
Trump
I don’t even know where to start… and I wouldn’t know where to end, so I won’t get into it. There was a time when I would tell the kids that bullying is wrong! – that degrading women is wrong!
Now, there’s Trump… Idk what to say anymore. Maybe the bullies and male chauvinists out there are simply practicing for there future endeavors. There was a time, not too long ago, Kanye said he would run for President in 2020 - I took it as a joke or delusion, now… well, if I’ve learned anything from the election, it’s that anything is possible.
My motto to live by from last year was from DMX’s “X gon give it to ya”
It was “(bleep) what you heard... it’s what you hearin!”
This year I’m going with a lyric from Sia’s “Cheap Thrills”
“Baby, I don’t need dollar bills to have fun tonight (I love cheap thrills!)”
Party on, people! Enjoy some of the simple pleasures of life: Parkour, pranking your neighbors, LSD, the latest Youtube challenge, etc.
Kaepernick –
He sucks! But… he made a splash somehow by simply kneeling. Some acted as if he pissed on the flag. All he did was kneel. He only said something about that when he was asked. People went crazy… people ARE crazy. Or maybe we’re all simply fighting to be heard. What do I know?? Democrats vs Republicans, Black vs White, Male vs Female… People of different faiths, LGBT peeps, the list goes on and on – deeper and deeper. Idk where we’re headed in 2017 and beyond, but I’m happy that I avoided The Reaper through 2016, and I’m gearing my hope up for the future. Cheers, party people! - to surviving another year, and that we’re blessed to even have a future.
